CULTURA TRES Feat. SEPULTURA's PAULO XISTO PINTO JR.: 'The Land' Single ReleasedLong-running South American metallers CULTURA TRES, whose current lineup includes SEPULTURA bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., has released "The Land", the third single from its upcoming album, "Camino De Brujos". The LP is due on April 7 via Universal Music in the Americas and Bloodblast in the rest of the world.
CULTURA TRES frontman Alejandro Montoya comments: "'The Land' is probably the most complete song on our album. The intro is cinematic, the first impression is dark but as the bassline becomes clear you find yourself in a '70s soft guitar solo feel, the climax of this intro builds slowly and it results on a powerful drum beat filled with toms and a heavy open guitar riff. Vocals kick in immediately shouting about the lost lands of the Amazons, About the atrocities indigenous people had to endure by religion and corporate interests. The subject is dense and so is the music this track. It goes through atmospheres of dark rock and sections where Slash-like solos catch the attention of the listener and yet this is our most SEPULTURA-influenced composition. Paulo is right in his element here and he leads the rhythm during most of the track."
CULTURA TRES is led by brothers Juanma Montoya and Alejandro, who previously stated about "Camino De Brujos": "Something we've learnt while listening to Andy Wallace's albums (he is God in our little world) is that if you can't imagine the band performing while you listen to a recording then you are just listening to a computer. And we are not interested in letting fans hear a computer... We'd rather invite them to hear four people playing their hearts out on a record. This record."
Added Paulo: "In 2019 after hearing about the plans for a new CULTURA TRES, I offered Ale and Juanma to join the band.
"The music is very organic. There are a lot of influences from the '90s and a little bit of hardcore as well. Personally [for this album], I got inspired by the bass players who I' loved the most back in the '70s."
In the studio, CULTURA TRES explored new ideas and found a musical common ground. The resulting style retained elements of the psychedelic-sludgy past, but incorporated the groove of a more metal oriented vibe that Paulo brought in with his SEPULTURA influence.
Alejandro said: "The album title 'Camino De Brujos' can be roughly translated as 'Trail Of Witches'. Do you remember the little story about letting your subconscious make artistic choices? Well, this is one of the best examples. 'Camino De Brujos' is the main line sang on top of a nasty slow riff. The song is filled with tribal ritual percussion, typical from South America's black magic practices. The phrase didn't only end up being the only lyrics sang on the song but it also gave the name and identity to the album."
"Camino De Brujos" will be released as vinyl, CD and digital.
The track listing is as follows:
01. The World And Its Lies
02. Time Is Up
03. Signs
04. The Land
05. Proxy War
06. 19 Horas
07. Zombies
08. De Maracay
09. The Smell Of Death
10. Camino De Brujos
"Camino De Brujos" was recorded by Juan M. De Ferrari Montoya and Alonso Milano Mendoza at AJM Sound Studios, Amsterdam (NL) and at Reborn Studios, Artesa de Segre (SP). Alejandro Londono Montoya took care of the missing and the mastering at AJM Sound Studios in Amsterdam. The artwork was created by Damian Michaels.

Watch: FEAR FACTORY Plays First Show With New Singer MILO SILVESTROFEAR FACTORY played its first concert with new singer Milo Silvestro and touring drummer Pete Webber Monday night (February 27) at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon at the second show of the "Rise Of The Machine" tour as the support act for STATIC-X. Initial fan-filmed video of the performance can be seen below (more to be added in the coming hours).
The Italian-born Silvestro recently joined FEAR FACTORY as the replacement for the band's original singer Burton C. Bell.
Webber is playing drums for FEAR FACTORY as the replacement for the band's longtime drummer Mike Heller who is unable to make the trek due to "scheduling conflicts."
FEAR FACTORY's setlist for the Portland concert was as follows:
01. Recode
02. Shock
03. Edgecrusher
04. Disruptor
05. Dielectric
06. Powershifter
07. What Will Become?
08. Archetype
09. Demanufacture
10. Replica
Due to extreme weather conditions, FEAR FACTORY was forced to cancel its appearance Saturday night (February 25) at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California at the opening show of the "Rise Of The Machine" tour. The 42-date North American trek also features DOPE as well as select dates with MUSHROOMHEAD and TWIZTID.
Earlier in the month, FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares told "The Jasta Show" about the band's vocalist search: "A lot of females stepped up. And there was definitely some females in the top five that I almost chose. But it did take a long process for me to find somebody. I was touring with SOULFLY [as a session guitarist] around late 2021 up till recently. And in that process I was looking for singers, and I was very meticulous, because I know how important it is for FEAR FACTORY fans that I pick the right guy. And I believe, and I know that I got the right dude. So I'm very happy [about] that."
Cazares went on to say that he "definitely" considered "guys [who] were in other bands" but that he thought "there would be a lot of scheduling conflicts, if the guy is in another band, and then we wouldn't be able to tour as much. What it somebody wanted us to do something like the Milwaukee Metal Fest, I wouldn't be able to do it because the singer has another gig somewhere else," Cazares explained. "So I wanted a guy who was fresh off the boat, new-school guy. I like discovering new talent. There's a lot of talented people out there, and they just never get the shot. So I wanted to give kind of an unknown guy a shot, or an unknown person a shot."
Dino previously told RichardMetalFan that he wasn't "afraid" of replacing someone like Bell. "I've been there before," he said. "I'm ready to move on forward. I look forward to it. I think it's gonna be fucking ripping. It's gonna be killer. I'm gonna put out some more heavy shit. So I don't think anybody needs to worry. The vocalist I got is amazing. He's younger; he's in his mid-30s. He's at his vocal peak, I think. He's there and ready to go."
In September 2020, Bell issued a statement officially announcing his departure from FEAR FACTORY, saying that he "cannot align" himself with someone whom he does not trust or respect.
FEAR FACTORY's latest album, "Aggression Continuum", was released in June 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records. The LP, which was recorded primarily in 2017, features Cazares and Bell alongside Heller.

On Showdown, Rise Of The Northstar combine everything we love about the Shonen manga maniacs with an extra dose of texture and flair and develop this into an ultimate, all-encompassing overall experience on album number three. The trademark of the band remains in the core; the artistic mastermind Vithia gives the record his magic of design and illustration, making it the sum of its parts. Expect insane grooves mixed with powerful riffs, in the well-known flow of Vithia and sublimated by Eva-B'sepic solos. The songs are so multi-layered that you want to jump along to the groove, headbang to the hardness and mosh to the hardcore breakdowns. Thrash riffing almost crushes your neck, you reflexively sing along to the choruses and the razor-sharp solos give you goose bumps. If there is one band that stands out for its originality, its universe and its music, it is undoubtedly Rise Of The Northstar who dominate every stage with their performance.
The band previously released the single "One Love". Check it out below.
Showdown was mixed by Johann Meyer (Gojira) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound Studio).

CANDLEMASS – Nightfall 35th Anniversary Triple Vinyl Set Out In MarchMarking 35 years since Candlemass’ Nightfall originally surfaced, a limited, triple coloured vinyl set includes newly remastered audio of the album - with work undertaken by Patrick Engel at Temple of Disharmony – and includes additional LPs containing studio outtakes, plus rare rehearsal and demo recordings of the songs “Bewitched” and “Battlecry”, all from the period leading up to the studio session.
Aside from the three LPs, this set also includes a ‘Nightfall’ poster, plus eight-page booklet featuring rare band images, and text originally featured in the Behind the Wall of Doom book, written by Per Ola Nilsson. Each of the three LPs are also presented in their own sleeves. Preorder at burningshed.com.
Candlemass, formed by bassist and songwriter Leif Edling in Stockholm in 1984, is well known for its influential epic doom metal sound, which itself evolved out of the masterful Black Sabbath. Following the legendary and genre-defining debut, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus (1986), Nightfall was released just one year later and, alongside Epicus…, is widely hailed as an all-time classic, instrumental in shaping the scene that still exists to this day with its unrivalled melodic heavy doom, with the creation of classic anthems such as “Dark Are The Veils Of Death” and “Well Of Souls”.
On Nightfall, joining bass player and main songwriter Leif Edling was vocalist Jan Alfredo Marcolin, better known as Messiah Marcolin, who became a well-established and highly regarded vocalist throughout the metal world, with his distinguishing and theatrical tones establishing him as an iconic presence in the band until his departure in the early 1990s.

SWEET & LYNCH To Release New Album, Heart & Sacrifice, This MaySweet & Lynch, featuring Stryper vocalist Michael Sweet and Lynch Mob/Dokken guitarist George Lynch, will release their third studio album, Heart & Sacrifice, on May 19 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Michael Sweet talked about the new album with the Scars And Guitars podcast, stating: "That's coming out in May, so not long from now. It's called Heart & Sacrifice, the album, and... killer cover. When everyone sees the artwork, I think they're gonna love it. It's dark, but it says a lot - really cool.
"And the album itself went through some periods of change. In other words, George submitted a bunch of songs, and a couple of them weren't quite right, and we had to get some more songs submitted. We went and recorded the album, and then we wound up re-recording some other songs to add to it to make the album better. And now, the stage that it's in now, is fantastic. It's really, I think, the strongest Sweet & Lynch album.
"It's a little darker musically... not much, just a little bit. And a little heavier. Like some of the songs are tuned way down, the guitar has a nice heavy feel to it. And I just love the feel of it. It's a little bit more, for lack of an explanation, a little bit more '90s than it is '80s. A little more '70s and '90s than it is '80s. But then you also hear the '80s flair. George is killing it on guitar. I kept trying to pull that out of him. Like he'd send a song where the solo was simplified, and I'd say, 'Dude, people wanna hear you tear it up. Just burn. Give 'em George... George Lynch.' And he'd submit a new solo, and it's, like, 'There it is. Just bring in the fire and the heat.'
"So I think this album is gonna really please people; they're gonna be pleasantly surprised and hopefully blown away."
Listen to the interview below, and stay tuned for further album details, coming soon.

AGGROS Drops "Chaos Magic" Remix Feat. Hardcore Legend CHUCK LENIHAN On Lead Guitar; VideoAggros is the new instrumental hardcore/metal brand from OG Cro-Mag songwriter and founder Parris Mayhew. Aggros previously self-released the pre-single song/video "City Kids" from the upcoming debut album, Rise Of The Aggros, to be released March 1.
This newest single/video from Rise Of The Aggros is a remix of "Chaos Magic", featuring Chuck Lenihan of Crumbsuckers on lead guitar. It is a hardcore epic, so packed with riffs that it needs no vocals!
“It is a genuine pleasure to be apart of any project with my long-time friend Parris - especially Aggros!! He has a special understanding and commitment to art and works tirelessly to pull out the best in everybody. All hail the Aggros!,” says Chuck Lenihan.
Parris Mayhew expounds, "I made this record in increments, like puzzle pieces, a drum track here, bass track there, recording where and when I could find a random storage room studio, an engineer who’d sneak me in after hours or finally a friend with a living room studio. I primarily made the record on Saturdays at my friend Mark Mastellone’s Studio 76 in Brooklyn, when I was off work. A single day a week, when I put my musician hat on for eight hours, for about a year. The album was taking shape as an LP, finally, when I suddenly thought of Chuck Lenihan. I always felt Chuck was a secret weapon. He distinguishes himself in any band he performs with, and he has a specialized toolbox of musical skills you’d only know about if you knew him well and had heard his insane demos of multi-layered solos he made on an old 4 track recorder back in the day, I sent Chuck a track and said, 'put a solo on this. Remember those crazy multi-layered solos you did back in the day, those insane licks with six harmonies, those Eddie Vai Engwie solos that I always rolled my eyes at? Well THAT’S the Chuck I want to hear.' He wrote back “Ok” and then a few days later he sent me a stellar solo, that is featured on the remix of "Chaos Magic". It was that easy and perfect, so I asked him to play on another song, only to get a better solo, then another with an even better solo and ultimately he plays on 4 of the songs on the album including “Sk8bored Fight" on which we do old school Judas Priest style dueling guitar solos. Seems I had inadvertently made the best possible platform for Chuck’s freakish skill set. And I think to myself now, wow what if I hadn’t sent Chuck that email?"
"I hope people enjoy watching 'Chaos Magic' as much as I enjoyed envisioning it for all these years. Oh, and look for the rats!" - Parris Mayhew
Parris explains, "I wanted the video to feel like the NYC of my youth, when it was a dark city lit by a warm sodium vapor glow. But the city has changed since my childhood and that sodium vapor light has been replaced by a harsh, un-defused LED glare. So I picked a location that escaped the retrofit of LED light and maintains the orange of the nights of my memory, a location that never changes and feels and looks like the endless ventures into the night I had as a kid discovering, my new nightcrawler friends and hardcore music."
“I have been cultivating the idea for the 'Chaos Magic' video for a very long time," Parris adds, "and planned it in increments. I’ve been jogging and riding my bike over the Williamsburg Bridge all my life. It is remains unchanged, a perpetual NYC experience, above the skyline. It's a front row seat to the sprawling cityscape of Manhattan for the outer borough resident or a startling look back to the Manhattan resident who forgets the wonder of where they live. It is a place of awe in its own right, and a rare piece of the NYC of my youth. The colors up there are extreme and mixed. Sodium vapor was the color of NYC of old at night and still is on the Williamsburg Bridge. Every time I went over the bridge, especially at night, I would envision how I would shoot a music video there one day. I planned shots, angles, collected all the puzzle pieces I would need to complete the picture in my head, the picture I wanted to represent my music. Because I am a native New Yorker, my music and myself are a product of my life here. The Williamsburg Bridge is very different than say, the Brooklyn Bridge, where I directed the video "Punishment" for Biohazard. The Brooklyn Bridge says NYC to the world, the Williamsburg Bridge says NYC to New Yorkers.
When I made the decision to begin filming, it was a nightly excursion from the get go. Two hours one night, six hours another night, we’d shoot close ups one night, guitar shots another and bike shots another. Doing it with a crew of one became challenging and exhausting, so we took our time. I’d love to say something mythical like ‘the video was shot over one long summer night somewhere between Brooklyn and Manhattan under a full moon with a crew of 50 film professionals who came together to make the video a big Hollywood production, but it was an altogether different experience. I did with the help of only one person, Scott Nocero, a young electrician I mentored in the film business. We shot at night and didn’t see people for hours and often until the sunrise. The bridge was ours. We trekked up the bridge for 22 nights with a camera, tripod, lights, 3 guitars, stands, sandbags and wardrobe changes. I would set up the shots with Scott holding my guitar. I lit him, then we’d changed places. The video is basically an elaborate selfie.
I believe a music video should be an intimate look at the artist. I always tried to do that with videos I directed in the past like, Type O Negative’s 'Black No. 1' and Onyx’s 'Slam'. Both videos became definitive for those artists. In the 'Chaos Magic' video I tried to do the same, open a door into the artist, myself. There are nods and impressions peppered in to tell people who I am. I even played roles in a way, myself, as characters at different stages of my life. When you see me play my red BC Rich BICH guitar, I wore my leather jacket, hightop Adidas sneakers, tied my hair up and shoved it in a baseball cap to look like I had short hair like I did when I started the band Cro-Mags around the Age of Quarrel era. Next character is with my hair out and the White G and L guitar, more like the Best Wishes or Revenge stage in life, (although I never played anything but the BICH back then). Then there is the present day me, on my bike, continuing to ride across the bridge. In one shot I even smile as I pass myself playing my song, living the moment when the video I envisioned comes to fruition.
The T-shirts I’m wearing were also carefully chosen, primarily the Motörhead shirt is part of a lifelong nod to the band as my primary musical influence, particularly in my bass playing and songwriting. An influence that shaped the sound of Cro-Mags and continues today in the Aggros. The influence of Motörhead is physical. I’ve often said my right hand is channeling Lemmy and my left hand striving for melodic and harmonious reflections of Rush, Black Flag, Aerosmith, Sex Pistols, Cheap Trick and Judas Priest. My influences are many and held highly, I just love music. Another nod isn’t as apparent, but is there all the same.
This video serves as a signal flare. It says look here. I'm planting my flag all over again. The fire to make it was unconscious and natural. It wasn’t on a timetable, just made because it was time."
Parris says, “Most Cro-Mags fans are accustomed to a big rock production sound from me and my music. This time I kept it streamlined, stripped down and raw. Just a band playing songs. The music will sound and feel familiar to anyone who knows my three previous albums. I am the same songwriter and guitarist so it will be that and then some! 'Chaos Magic' is just a balls out rocker. I believe that a song should be a journey. There should be a clear introduction to set the tone or to set the listener up for the ride, and for a ceremonious feeling of arrival at a destination to be experienced. There are a few musical surprises along the way, as music should surprise you. All great songs should have a feeling that the journey is complete, the catharsis, a lesson learned from both Motörhead and Rush."
The Aggros are currently planning to go on tour summer 2023. More details to follow.
The Aggros touring lineup:
Parris Mayhew - guitar
Chuck Lenihan - Guitar
Cobz - Drums
Dierk Peters - Piano
The debut album, Rise Of The Aggros, will sound and feel familiar to anyone who knows Parris Mayhew's high school band and the groundbreaking albums he made with them, The Aggros is simply a continuation for Parris as a songwriter, producer and guitarist, so it will be what fans expect and then some! Some people have called Aggros "progressive hardcore” but it’s NYHC to the core. The album also features some blazing guitar solos by Chuck Lenihan from Crumbsuckers, blistering drums by Cobz, and Roy Mayorga joined Parris on drums for the track "Fear View Mirror."
“Man, this is really creative! I thought that Hardcore had all been 'written' already. This is fresh and pretty damned excellent!” - Phil Anselmo
“Inspirational!” - Evan. Seinfeld
“This album is a banger” - Macon Blair, Director of The Toxic Avenger

SVALBARD Release "Eternal Spirits" Single And Music VideoSvalbard have released a new single, "Eternal Spirits", accompanied by an electrifying, live-performance music video. "Eternal Spirits" is an uncompromising, poignant track, dedicated to the memory of the legendary musicians of our community who we have sadly lost. It showcases Svalbard's finesse and fiery spirit, where musical ferocity and ethereality interflow, forging an evocative, raging sea. Svalbard are currently working on their fourth studio album.
Svalbard's Serena Cherry stated, "Eternal Spirits is one of the most tragic songs we have ever written, yet it is also a celebration of the legacy and musical heritage. It is a song about late metal musicians who sadly passed away too soon and the loss we feel within the metal community without their presence. This song is a heartfelt tribute to our metal heroes who are gone but will never be forgotten because their legacy lives on in the millions of hearts they have touched with their music. It's crushing when your heroes die, but with this song, we want to commemorate our late heroes' glorious music and the legions of bands they have inspired. That inspiration will never die.
On a more personal level, Joey Jordison was the person who inspired me to pick up an instrument. I started learning drums when I was 12 years old because of the energy and passion he exuded from his playing. When I listened to his drumming, every hit gave me a surge of motivation. His creative spark lit a fire within me that will never be extinguished. I'd like to dedicate 'Eternal Spirits' to his memory."
Stream "Eternal Spirits" here, and watch the video below:
Svalbard will be touring Europe in March 2023 with Cult Of Luna and Russian Circles, followed by a full spring/summer of European festival performances including; Inferno (Norway), Hellfest (France), Gränichen Open Air (Switzerland), Alkatraz (Belgium), With Full Force (Germany), plus 2000Trees, ArcTanGent and Portals in the UK.
Formed in Bristol UK, Svalbard have released three studio albums, three EPs and several split releases. Their exceptional latest studio album, 2020's When I Die, Will I Get Better? was a career milestone, it cemented Svalbard as a powerful and vital component of our global music scene.
Whilst refining their distinctive blend of euphoric black metal, post-rock and d-beat, Svalbard have incorporated a few more surprising influences along the way. From soft, mournful singing to progressive guitar leads, it showcases a sensitive dynamic that lends impact to their most crushing moments - of which there are undoubtedly many. There’s no poetry, no ambiguity - just direct, raw honesty as the Bristolian quartet tackle some very uncomfortable subjects head on. This is heavy in the most evocative sense of the word. The blunt lyrics are equally as important as the music.
The band now look forward with renewed optimism and frankly have every right to. 2023 will see them head out across Europe with Cult of Luna and Russian Circles, having now signed a worldwide deal with the iconic heavy music label Nuclear Blast. In a world ever more open to breaking down doors that once seemed firmly closed, Svalbard seem as vital as any artist right now.
Svalbard is:
Vocals/Guitar - Serena Cherry
Vocals/Guitar - Liam Phelan
Drums - Mark Lilley
Bass - Matt Francis

"Beheading Of The Godhead" video:
Conquering the European charts for decades, the Legion crowned itself at #17 in the Official German Album Charts with predecessor Slaves Of The Shadow Realms (2019). For almost 35 years, they have formed their aggressive signature sound from the most horrific ingredients of thrash and death metal, combined with brutal blackened influences, resulting in one of the most defined and unique sounds in the scene.
The Poison Chalice comes to life by spreading its eerily beautiful wings within the first few seconds, then dives headfirst into a hellishly furious storm before the second song "Contamination" absolutely kills. In classic Legion Of The Damned manner, there is no escape as the track relentlessly drives into the abyss.
The album spreads brutal and ice cold thrash soundscapes through relentless attacking drums and incredible guitar harmonies from both lead guitarists, underlined by angry bass lines. Infectious thrash treasures such as “Progressive Destructor”, and the almost seven-minute berserk “Behold The Beyond” break necks with hammering guitar riffs and bloody double bass infernos. “Beheading of The Godhead” delivers what the song title promises, before the past 48 minutes of hate closes with a final deep gulp from “The Poison Chalice” - leaving no one behind.
Together with producer Erwin Hermsen, the band has closed the gates of the underworld in Toneshed Studio and demonstrates that they remain the unchallenged masters of brute and unrelenting death-thrash metal in 2023.
Legion Of The Damned are:
Maurice Swinkels - vocals
Twan Van Geel - guitars
Fabian Verweij - guitars
Harold Gielen - bass
Erik Fleuren - drums

Watch: Former MEGADETH Members CHUCK BEHLER, DAVID ELLEFSON And JEFF YOUNG Perform Together For First Time In 35 YearsFormer MEGADETH drummer Chuck Behler joined KINGS OF THRASH on stage Friday night (February 24) at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan to perform the MEGADETH classic "In My Darkest Hour" as well as a cover of the SEX PISTOLS' "Anarchy In The U.K.", which MEGADETH covered on the 1988 "So Far, So Good... So What!" album. KINGS OF THRASH features Behler's former MEGADETH bandmates David Ellefson (bass) and Jeff Young (guitar),with the occasional guest appearance by Chris Poland (guitar).
After the concert, Ellefson took to his social media to share a photo of him, Young and Behler from the Flint show, and he wrote in an accompanying message: "Such a historic moment for fans and friends alike. Tonight in Flint, MI was the first time me, Jeff Young and Chuck Behler have performed live together in 35 years...our last show together was Monsters Of Rock Castle Donington England August 20, 1988! Thank you for sharing a heartfelt and magical moment together!"
Behler, who played with MEGADETH from 1987 to 1989 and appeared on "So Far, So Good… So What!", reunited with Ellefson on stage for the first time in more than 30 years in August 2019 at the Token Lounge in Westland, Michigan. That concert was part of Ellefson's "Basstory - More Life With Deth" tour which featured a question-and-answer session/discussion with co-author and then-business partner Thom Hazaert about Ellefson's memoir, "More Life With Deth", and a full live-band set including songs from the companion album "Sleeping Giants".
KINGS OF THRASH kicked off its "Thrashin' USA" 2023 tour on February 16 at The Forge in Joliet, Illinois. The trek is crossing the Midwest, East Coast, and southeastern part of the USA through March 15. As with the band's 2022 warm-up shows, the group, which also includes drummer Fred Aching as well as guitarist/vocalist Chaz Leon, is performing "Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good!" and "So Far, So Good… So What!" in their entirety. Support on all shows is coming from HATRIOT.
As previously reported, KINGS OF THRASH will release a live CD/DVD package called "Best Of The West…Live At The Whisky A Go Go" on March 24 via Cleopatra Records. The 17-song set, featuring performances of MEGADETH's classic albums "Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good!" and "So Far, So Good… So What!", was recorded and filmed live at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California on October 15, 2022 and includes an appearance by Poland. The DVD was directed by Michael Sarna for Inmotion Entertainment.
Ellefson was fired from MEGADETH nearly two years ago after sexually tinged messages and explicit video footage involving the bassist were posted on Twitter.
David was in MEGADETH from the band's inception in 1983 to 2002, and again from 2010 until his latest exit.
In 2004, Ellefson filed an $18.5-million lawsuit against Dave Mustaine, alleging the MEGADETH leader shortchanged him on profits and backed out of a deal to turn Megadeth Inc. over to him when the band broke up in 2002. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed and Ellefson rejoined MEGADETH in 2010.
Young's entire career with MEGADETH was spent recording and touring in support of the band's 1988 platinum-selling album "So Far, So Good...So What!"
Jeff made headlines in December 2009 for accusing Mustaine of, among other things, "dissing, exaggerating and just plain lying on some level about nearly every talented musician that has passed through his dysfunctional little ensemble." He also disputed Mustaine's claim in an interview that Young's drug problem led to MEGADETH's 1988 Australian tour being called off and the group being "banned" from performing in the country.
Poland was a member of MEGADETH from 1984 to 1987, during which time he performed on the band's classic albums "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!" and "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" He is also a featured soloist on the group's 2004 album, "The System Has Failed".
Back in 2004, Poland and/or his management and attorney filed a lawsuit against Mustaine regarding the use of the three "Rust In Peace" demos on the album's reissue without Chris's permission. Chris eventually settled for $9,500 and thereby ended a professional relationship with Dave and MEGADETH.
For the past couple of decades, Poland's main musical focus has been the fusion band OHM:, which has released several full-length studio albums to date.
