ALICE COOPER, BAD COMPANY, JOURNEY, KISS, LED ZEPPELIN Featured In 'Rock Visions' Book Of MemorabiliaGenesis Publications has announced "Rock Visions: Rock 'N' Roll Graphics From The Print Age", a stunning collection of memorabilia from 12 of the most legendary bands and artists of our times. Published in a highly collectable limited edition of only 500 numbered sets, each copy is individually signed by Sir Elton John and curator Rob Roth, with Artluxe copies also including a fine art print signed by Alice Cooper.
"Rock Visions" chronicles the art of 12 titans of rock: Alice Cooper, BAD COMPANY, David Bowie, Elton John, JOURNEY, KISS, LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD, QUEEN, THE ROLLING STONES, STEVE MILLER BAND and THE WHO. From original tour programs to backstage passes, concert tickets, t-shirts, posters, and record sleeves, "Rock Visions" documents the graphic legacy imprinted on modern culture by the biggest names in rock — an astounding showcase of over 1,700 rare, vintage treasures.
Curating this edition is author Rob Roth, a Tony Award-nominated Broadway director with a lifelong passion for music memorabilia and known for directed concert tours for giants like Alice Cooper, KISS, Cyndi Lauper and Steve Miller in world-famous venues like Madison Square Garden and the Royal Albert Hall.
Cooper said: "Rob Roth is obsessive/compulsive, like me. He went crazy, purchasing thousands of rare, vintage items from his favorite bands. Now, he has assembled the largest collection of classic rock graphics in the world. Obsessive/compulsive can be a good thing."
Roth, who started collecting in his teenage years, has since amassed a collection of over 10,000 items — the largest of its kind in the world — which features the work of leading photographers such as David Bailey, Brian Duffy, Robert Frank, Mick Rock and Terry O'Neill; celebrated artists and illustrators such as Alan Aldridge, Peter Blake, Shepard Fairey, Gerald Scarfe and Andy Warhol; and revolutionary graphic designers such as Aubrey Powell, John Pasche and Storm Thorgerson.
Introduced by Sir Elton John, "Rock Visions" offers a unique and intimate look into the world of rock legends. Alongside text captions from each of the featured artists, Rob Roth adds his historical knowledge, bringing context and life to each item in the collection. The edition also includes an essay by David Furnish and an afterword by Alice Cooper, making this more than just a collection of memorabilia but a chance to hear directly from the people who have helped shape rock music as we know it.
Elton said: "Part of being a collector is documenting and sharing the collection. At a backstage visit on my farewell tour, I told Rob that if he didn't do this, he was just a 'degenerate hoarder.' We laughed, but it was true.'
Two versions of "Rock Visions" will be available; the Deluxe copy, numbered 101 to 500 and signed by Sir Elton John and Rob Roth will be bound in luxurious black apple, leather quarter-bound, and features striking silver page edges and foil blocking. The covers showcase a vibrant montage screen-printed in red, black, and metallic silver inks. Inside, a red ribbon bookmark is included, along with a replica of an Elton John fan club membership card.
The Artluxe copies are numbered 1 to 100, and are again signed by Sir Elton John and Rob Roth. This edition will be bound in luxurious black apple leather and cloth and features silver page edges and foil blocking. The Artluxe binding features a vibrant montage screen-printed on fabric, with a "Sgt. Pepper"-inspired full-color onlay. Inside, a red ribbon bookmark is included, along with a replica of an Elton John fan club membership card. Completing the Artluxe boxed set is an exclusive limited-edition artwork: a previously unpublished still-life photographic print, hand-numbered from 1 to 100, and individually signed by Alice Cooper.
Both the Artluxe and Deluxe copies are housed in a handcrafted archival case that contains an array of rare items specially reproduced from Roth's collection. Each copy contains exact facsimiles of the following memorabilia: Two laminate tour passes for David Bowie's U.S' tour 4 (the "Diamond Dogs" tour) and Elton John's iconic 1975 Dodger Stadium performances; Three promotional button badges celebrating PINK FLOYD's 1977 album "Animals", THE WHO's "The Who By Numbers" (1975) and QUEEN's Japan tour of 1979; a sickness bag promoting Alice Cooper's 1974 feature film "Good to See You Again, Alice Cooper"; and three concert tickets: two for Madison Square Garden for shows by KISS and BAD COMPANY, and a third for one of LED ZEPPELIN's performances in Osaka during their second and final tour of Japan in 1972.
Roth said: "It is particularly thrilling that 'Rock Visions' is being published by Genesis. Their big, gorgeous, super high-quality books created with Bowie, THE ROLLING STONES, Jimmy Page, THE WHO and others have fueled my passion for rock graphics."

SILVERSTEIN Announces Double Album 'Antibloom' / 'Pink Moon'With the approach of their 25th anniversary, acclaimed Canadian rock band SILVERSTEIN took to the deserts of Joshua Tree to challenge themselves in more ways than ever before. The result is the band's most eclectic and prolific body of work yet: "Antibloom" / "Pink Moon". A double album that draws from across SILVERSTEIN's diverse influences, "Antibloom" will see its release on February 21, 2025 via UNFD, with "Pink Moon" to follow later in the year.
"In 2025 we will be celebrating 25 years as band. For a milestone this large, we felt it deserved the largest campaign of our career," the band shares. "We felt incredibly inspired and put everything we've learned / felt / experienced into this double album. They say it takes an artist their whole life to write their debut album, but with starting this band so young, it felt like it took 25 years to write 'Antibloom' / 'Pink Moon' — the absolute collection of our musical style and ideas we've pioneered over these years."
In addition to announcing "Antibloom" / "Pink Moon", SILVERSTEIN has shared their new single and music video "Confession". A melodic and emotional track about owning up to one's mistakes, "Confession" serves as a follow-up to previously released single "Skin & Bones". The two offer listeners their first glimpse at what "Antibloom" / "Pink Moon" has in store.
On "Confession" vocalist Shane Told reveals: "I'm so excited to be releasing our new banger 'Confession' out into the world. Early on working through our initial demos I knew this one had something very special in it. It was fun to craft this one in the studio and perfect it, deciding exactly how to present it with all the different layers of music. I think it's one of the strongest singles we've ever released because, at its core, it's all about the message, melody, and emotion."
Fans can catch SILVERSTEIN in Las Vegas this weekend at When We Were Young festival, performing their iconic album "Discovering The Waterfront" — now certified gold in Canada — in full. Ahead of the festival, on Friday, October 18, they will be playing a rare, intimate headline show at American Legion Post 8. The show marks the start of the band's 25th anniversary celebration, paying homage to venues they started out playing in nearly 25 years ago.
In 2025 fans around the world are invited to join the band in celebrating their "silver" anniversary with the "25 Years Of Noise" tour. Kicking off in North America on January 10, the first leg will feature support from THURSDAY and SPLIT CHAIN, as well as a yet-to-be-announced group who is pioneering the next wave of the rock scene. Following the month-long run, SILVERSTEIN will bring the tour to Europe alongside THURSDAY, THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS and BLOOM. These shows will offer a discography-spanning performance and fans will be able to vote for their favorite songs from each record to help decide the setlist.
Tickets, including VIP packages, for all upcoming shows are on sale now at silversteinmusic.com/vip.
SILVERSTEIN enters its 25th year with two full-length albums set for 2025. The band that NME calls "legendary" and Loudwire placed among the most prolific rock and metal artists of the 21st Century continues to innovate and inspire on forward-thinking records and at crowd-embracing live shows.
"Discovering The Waterfront" (2005) remains a touchstone classic. "A Beautiful Place To Drown" (2020) earned a "Rock Album Of The Year" nomination at the Juno Awards. "Antibloom" (arriving in February) and "Pink Moon" (arriving later in 2025) are stunning reminders of why the group is a vital subcultural force and why Alternative Press readers voted frontman Shane Told among the five best post-hardcore vocalists.
SILVERSTEIN songs like "My Heroine", "Smile in Your Sleep", "The Afterglow" and "Infinite" are postmodern anthems for a devoted following earned with passionate performances and authentic artistry. As recently as 2024, The Needle Drop called them "emo hardcore legends." While their 500-million-plus streams reflect that, SILVERSTEIN grew up in a scene where the music and message come first.
Audiences sing and scream along in packed theaters, at festivals, and on tours around the world with groups like SIMPLE PLAN, RISE AGAINST, GOOD CHARLOTTE, PIERCE THE VEIL, BEARTOOTH and UNDEROATH.
Sam Guaiana (NECK DEEP, HOLDING ABSENCE, BAYSIDE) produced and mixed "Antibloom" and "Pink Moon" at Fireside Sound in Joshua Tree, California. The band arrived with 25 demos and chose their 16 favorites. Drummer Paul Koehler suggested splitting the music into two albums and turning 2025 into a year-long celebration. This will allow listeners the space to absorb and connect with the songs, which embrace the band's storied past and postmodern leanings in equal measure, making for diverse experiences.
"We put everything we've learned/felt/experienced into this double album," the band said in a shared statement, declaring "Antibloom" and "Pink Moon" "the absolute collection of our musical style."

TOOL's MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN On Singing OZZY OSBOURNE Song At ROCK HALL Induction: 'It's Extremely Terrifying'In a new interview with The Allison Hagendorf Show, TOOL's Maynard James Keenan spoke about his upcoming appearance at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland where he will sing Ozzy Osbourne songs alongside Billy Idol and country artist Jelly Roll. Backing them up will be a band consisting of Zakk Wylde, Andrew Watt, Steve Stevens and Wolfgang Van Halen on guitar, with a rhythm section featuring METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith. Actor Jack Black will make the speech inducting Osbourne.
Osbourne has earned a solo Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction for his nearly six-decade career in music. BLACK SABBATH was inducted in 2006. This honor makes Ozzy one of a handful of artists with multiple inductions into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Asked by Hagendorf how he is feeling about his appearance at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Maynard responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's terrifying — extremely terrifying. Yeah, 'cause this is for him, and his song is out of my range. So I'm gonna be struggling to hit the notes, but I got the call and so I answered."
Regarding whether he and the other musicians have practiced yet, Maynard said: "[We're] rehearsing in a couple days — tomorrow."
When Hagendorf noted that "this is a very symbolic night" considering that the BLACK SABBATH debut was "a seminal album" for him, Maynard said: "Yeah, I mean, it's, if I'm being honest, mixed feelings. 'Cause I'm having to come in, and a couple of other people are coming in, to sing for him, which is depressing, to have to sing for him. But that we're able to step up and help him in this induction is inspiring. I'm glad I got the call. I'm sure a bunch of people got the call, but I think I responded first."
On the topic of Black's involvement in the event, Osbourne told Rolling Stone: "Jack invited my family to the 'School Of Rock' movie premiere in 2002. I've always been a big fan of his. Jack is one of the few great actors that is also a genuine rock & roller and not acting the part."
As for the musicians taking part in the performance, Ozzy said: "Billy Idol is a rock icon. His music is timeless. Billy Idol should be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Maynard has been a true family friend since 1997. He is such a creative force. There are few artists who can keep three successful bands going for multiple decades," referring to TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE and PUSCIFER.
"Who doesn't love Jelly Roll?" Osbourne added. "His voice is soulful, pure, and dirty. I'm so honored that someone would do this for me who I've never had the pleasure of meeting."
As for Trujillo and Smith, Ozzy said: "The rhythm section is the anchor of the band, and you honestly couldn't get a better rhythm section than Robert Trujillo and Chad Smith."
The 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction will be seen live on Saturday, October 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The 2024 ceremony will once again stream live on Disney+ with a special airing on ABC at a later date and available on Hulu the next day.
Speaking to Billboard, the 75-year-old Osbourne said getting a second induction "feels big. I'm more than honored."
He went on to reflect on his solo career, saying: "With every new music venture there's always a certain amount of surprise that comes when you see the fans embrace it, because no one wants to make a record and have it flop. I feel like I was invited to a party in 1980, and it hasn't stopped. Not bad for a guy who was fired from his last band."
Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne discussed his absence from the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a solo artist during an appearance earlier this year on "The Adam Carolla Show". Asked by host Adam Carolla how the nomination process works and whether she has to lobby to get Ozzy in as a solo artist, Sharon said: "There are people on the board, and the people on the board have to go in, and it has to be on their list, and it has to be on more than, I think, half of the votes. More than half."
Sharon went on to say that she doesn't like to "beg" anyone for anything. "I will never beg, and I will never ask for favors," she explained. "I've never asked anyone for a favor. So, my thing is fuck you if you don't realize that somebody really deserves to be here. And you don't recognize that? Then, see ya."
When Adam pressed Sharon about whether she has done "any lobbying" to get Ozzy into the Rock Hall, she said: "We went to a dinner last year for the people who had been inducted in last year. They invited us to the dinner and we went. And people were saying to Ozzy, 'Oh, you've been inducted in,' and we were, like, 'No, actually. We were just invited for the food, so we're here.' That's as near as we've got, but no."
Sharon added: "They know that Ozzy deserves to be there. They know he's been a solo artist. You've gotta be doing it for 25 years. He's been 43 years as a solo artist. He sold nearly a hundred million albums as a solo artist. So where is he? Induct him."
Artists are eligible to be inducted into the Rock Hall after at least 25 years have passed since their first record was released.
In 1999, Ozzy attempted to take BLACK SABBATH's name off the Hall Of Fame's nomination list that year, deeming the institution's nod "meaningless."
In an October 1999 letter to the Hall Of Fame, Osbourne said: "Just take our name off the list. Save the ink. Forget about us. The nomination is meaningless, because it's not voted on by the fans. It's voted on by the supposed elite for the industry and the media, who've never bought an album or concert ticket in their lives, so their vote is irrelevant to me." He added, "Let's face it, BLACK SABBATH has never been media darlings. We're a people's band and that suits us just fine."
Back in 2005, BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi told Launch he was not happy that SABBATH had not yet been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. "I'm pissed off about that," he said. "I think that's... you know, I don't normally go round blowing our own trumpet saying we are this and we are that. I'm not that kind of person but I really think we deserve... you know, to be in that. Because without us that kind of music wouldn't have existed. 'Cause a lot of bands that have sparked off from us wouldn't be around and there probably wouldn't be this king of music."
When BLACK SABBATH finally earned its induction in 2006, the band went in with LYNYRD SKYNYRD, Mike Davis and BLONDIE.
Legendary Ozzy guitarist Randy Rhoads was posthumously inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame during the 2021 ceremony. Rhoads, who played in Ozzy's band more than four decades ago, received the Musical Excellence Award at the October 2021 event. 3

ERIK GRÖNWALL - "We Wrote This Song For SKID ROW!"; VideoFormer Skid Row frontman, Erik Grönwall, has shared the new video below, along with the following message:
"In August 2022, my producer Jona Tee and I wrote three potential songs for a new Skid Row album while I was still in the band. Although I don’t think this particular song ["Can’t Kill What’s Dead"] would have made it onto the album, and since that album definitely won’t happen, I thought it might be fun to share this demo with you all instead.
"Please note that this is a demo Jona and I produced and no Skid Row members are playing on this demo. A special thanks to all the fans who helped me put this video together."
Live In London, Skid Row's first official live album and concert film in a 35+ year career, is now available on heavyweight 2LP gatefold, CD + DVD, digital download and all streaming services via earMUSIC.
"Youth Gone Wild" is the latest video from the full program, and captures the rapture of a sold out 02 Forum Kentish Town London gone wild for the Skids and the culmination of a dream years in the making.
"As teens, we dreamt of playing places like the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ and CBGB in New York City... our dreams became bigger with London, England at the forefront. We fantasized one day to headline a show in the very city where so many of our favorite bands came from," the band says.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed, hugely fan-embraced 2022 album The Gang's All Here, the band took the 02 stage on October 22 and delivered a Skid Row set for the ages. Running through their multi-platinum career, the packed venue could barely contain the band's and the fans’ energy on "18 And Life," "Monkey Business," "I Remember You" and so many other peak Skid Row moments.

AMARANTHE Release Cover Of ROXETTE's "Fading Like A Flower"; AudioSweden's Amaranthe have released a cover version of "Fading Like A Flower", from Swedish pop rock legends Roxette. Re-visioning a classic song in their own forward-thinking synth-driven, metallic melody, Amaranthe demonstrates their ability to inject new life into a classic song.
The band comments: “Being born and raised in Sweden meant that you are subjected to an absolute onslaught of ultra-catchy music, starting with ABBA all the way up to the present day, with some of the world’s greatest songwriters and producers hailing from here. One of the most successful acts to ever come out of Sweden is Roxette, and if you were young in the 80’s/90’s, their music was EVERYWHERE. To do a tribute to 1991’s 'Fading Like A Flower' is something we half-jokingly talked about during a few years, and when the opportunity arose during The Catalyst recordings we jumped at it. Roxette’s melodies and arrangements fit Amaranthe like a hand-tailored glove, and we’re now really excited to share this cover with you all!”

WHITESNAKE Frontman DAVID COVERDALE's Solo Album Reissues Unboxed; VideoDavid Coverdale, the powerful voice behind Whitesnake and former Deep Purple frontman, sees his solo work shine brightly in a new collection featuring remixed, remastered, and revisited versions of his solo albums Whitesnake (1977), NorthWinds (1978), and Into The Light (2000).
Into The Light: The Solo Albums will be available through Rhino Records on October 25 as a 6CD boxed set. It comes packaged in a hardcover box featuring a 60-page book with rare photos, detailed liner notes, and a new interview with Coverdale. The newly remixed version of Into The Light will also be available separately as a double vinyl album presented in a gatefold sleeve.
Watch an unboxing video below:
The upcoming boxed set features two versions of Coverdale’s solo albums: one newly remixed to deliver a more dynamic sonic experience and a second remastered from the original recordings for those who want to revisit the classic sound. The remixed versions feature significant updates (particularly to Whitesnake and NorthWinds) and utilize cutting-edge audio separation software. The track "Time & Again" from NorthWinds benefited from innovative voice extraction technology, allowing for new string and piano arrangements that Coverdale has envisioned for decades.
Coverdale shares, “The remixes are modern, using new technology to squeeze the best out of them… Truly exciting to revisit and take care of any technical ‘issues’ I had with the tracks all those years ago.”
Into The Light, Coverdale’s third solo album, boasts an impressive musical lineup that includes guitarists Earl Slick (David Bowie) and Doug Bossi, bassist Marco Mendoza (who later joined Whitesnake), legendary drummer Denny Carmassi (Montrose, Whitesnake), and keyboardist Mike Finningan (Jimi Hendrix). The remixed version of the album expands the original with songs like "Let’s Talk It Over" and "All The Time In The World". The collection also offers additional remixes, demos, and outtakes from the album, including "With All Of My Heart". Coverdale wrote the song for his wife and considers it one of the best he’s ever written.
The set also revisits NorthWinds, and Whitesnake Coverdale’s first two solo albums recorded immediately after leaving Deep Purple. Both albums have been reimagined and re-sequenced for the upcoming collection. NorthWinds includes some new arrangements and additional tracks like "Sweet Mistreater" and "Shame The Devil, Tell The Truth", breathing new life into this classic. Whitesnake features impossible remixes thanks to AI sound separation softwares, courtesy of technology that has only been available in the last couple of years.

TED NUGENT Says METALLICA Plays 'Soulful Heavy Metal': 'It's Like If JAMES BROWN Had More Amplifiers And A White Bass Player'During the September 21 episode of his Real America's Voice"Spirit Campfire" show, legendary musician Ted Nugent listed some of the fellow rockers who are still out there touring and performing at a high level, including Mark Farner, STYX and Sammy Hagar. He said: "So there's a lot of great music out there. Who else is out there playing? I think — isn't METALLICA still doing gigs? They do stadiums. They make 26 million dollars a night."
He went on to praise METALLICA's music, saying: "You guys are awesome. And they play soulful heavy metal. It's more rhythm-and-blues-oriented heavy metal — just heavier… Like if James Brown had more amplifiers and a white bass player. I'm not knocking whatever that bass player's name is in METALLICA. He's awesome. He's got the rhythm groove down."
Nugent previously touched upon his appreciation for heavy metal in an April 2022 interview with Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF radio station. Asked to name the best cover version he has ever heard of one of his songs, he responded: "Unfortunately, I never have. I've heard the versions of 'Cat Scratch Fever', and I love PANTERA and I love Lemmy [MOTÖRHEAD] and I love the RAMONES, but God, are they terminally Caucasian or what?
"There's a real Motown soulfulness to what me and my boys deliver; there's a grunt and a grind," he continued. "And I love musicians who put their heart and soul into stuff — I love METALLICA and I love SLAYER and I love MEGADETH and I love 'em all. But when I listen to music, I wanna hear a groove; I wanna hear some grunt. I wanna hear the bass and drums of Motown like [my then-bassist] Greg [Smith] and [drummer] Jason [Hartless] create, what Johnny Badanjek and Earl Elliott created, like what Cliff Davies and Rob Grange created, what Jack Blades and Michael Cartellone created, what Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert… You know what I mean? I like a sexy, grunting rhythm. And I hear it from METALLICA sometimes, and I love their heavy metal stuff — it's killer. They're unbelievable musicians and [they have] an incredible work ethic; they're all in the asset column of life and music. But when I heard Lemmy's version of 'Cat Scratch Fever', I thanked him, and I do appreciate it. And when I heard PANTERA's version of 'Cat Scratch Fever', I thanked them, but I think they're angry at me because I called them Caucasian, which I think is a racial slur somewhere. The RAMONES did 'Journey To The Center Of The Mind' [from THE AMBOY DUKES], and again, God bless 'em, I love 'em and I'm honored that they would choose my songs, but what Greg Arama [bass] and Dave Palmer [drums] did on 'Journey To The Center Of The Mind' as kids, teenagers — 15 years old they were; I think 16 years old — there's a Motown funk brother pulse to my songs and my rhythms. And those guys kind of flail away at it. And again, if you're a big fan of flailing away, God bless you — flail away."
Ted went on to clarify: "I'm not condemning it, but I'm critiquing it. And it's not quite the thump that my original songs [had]. And [my latest album] 'Detroit Muscle' is wall-to-wall thump because Greg and Jason still channel The Funk Brothers [a group of Detroit-based session musicians who performed the backing to most Motown recordings from 1959 until the company moved to Los Angeles in 1972] and they still channel that black soulfulness. We were raised on James Brown tightness, and that's what Mitch Ryder delivered, that's what Bob Seger delivers, that's what Kid Rock delivers, that's what GRAND FUNK delivers, that's what the MC5 delivered. Those are my favorite musical things because they have a sexy grind to the rhythm. And I just don't think anybody could claim that the RAMONES were ever sexy. And God bless 'em; they just weren't sexy. [Laughs]"
Back in 2006, Nugent slammed PANTERA's cover of his signature tune "Cat Scratch Fever" as having "no soul, no balls" and "no feel," adding that the members of PANTERA appeared as "Ozzy-like zombies on TV" whose conduct on stage went against his lifelong anti-drugs and -drink stance.
Responding to a fan posting on Nugent's official message board (dubbed "The Nuge Board") about late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and the VH1 "Behind the Music" special on PANTERA that premiered several days earlier, Ted (who posted on the message board under the name "Nuge") wrote that he "never thought too highly of anyone foolish enough to take on the nickname of a life-destroying dope product and promote such family-destroying conduct on stage." (Apparently referring to the fact that Darrell's "Dimebag" nickname is a slang term for a $10 bag of marijuana.)
When another fan pointed out that Dimebag "loved" Nugent's music and that he had stated in a magazine interview that he often played some of Ted's riffs before a show to loosen up the fingers — going so far as to cover "Cat Scratch Fever" for the 1999 "Detroit Rock City" soundtrack — Nugent responded, "though I'm no expert on all things PANTERA, I did hear their version of 'Cat Scratch Fever' and it was exceedingly white. No soul, no balls, no feel. Caucasian all the way. Elements of dope, booze and heroin disconnect quite apparent as usual. There is no excuse for such horrifically negative, irresponsible, criminal, America-wrecking behavior as such chimp-like substance abuse. Period. They appeared as Ozzy-like zombies on TV. Ya think. American drunks and dopers are allahpuke terrorists' favorite allies. Damn them. Damn them all."
After the fan who started the original thread (who called himself "the A_team") defended Dimebag by saying that "you have to at least respect Dime as a guitarist," adding that "even though he did drugs, I heard he didn't do very many," Nugent replied, "I indeed do respect all people for the positives in their life. Sadly, there comes a time of diminishing returns in the balance. At the end of the day, my respect is reserved for those solidly in the asset column of mankind."
"Detroit Muscle" was released in April 2022 via Pavement Music. The follow-up to 2018's "The Music Made Me Do It" was produced by Michael Lutz and Nugent. 5

OZZY OSBOURNE Confirms He Was Once Approached By VAN HALEN Brothers About Making Music TogetherIn his first interview since Eddie Van Halen's 2020 passing, Alex Van Halen revealed that Ozzy Osbourne and Chris Cornell were both under consideration to front VAN HALEN at different times when the band was in between singers.
While speaking with Rolling Stone to promote his new memoir, "Brothers", set for release on October 22, Alex said Osbourne was approached in 2001, two years after Gary Cherone's exit from VAN HALEN, and prior to Sammy Hagar's return in 2003. According to the drummer, he and Eddie met with the BLACK SABBATH frontman wife and manager Sharon Osbourne to discuss a potential album with Ozzy as lead singer. But the plan was abandoned when the Osbourne family launched its groundbreaking MTV reality show.
"When you get a dog, you don't expect it to be a cat," Alex told Rolling Stone. "When you get an Ozzy, you get Ozzy. Play the music, he'll sing, and it's gonna be great."
When contacted by Rolling Stone, Ozzy confirmed the story, telling the magazine via e-mail: "Yes, we were discussing it. It is something that if it had come to fruition, would have been phenomenal. Eddie and Alex were great friends of mine for a very long time and it's a regret of mine that we never got it together. 'The Osbournes' got in the way of creating new music at that time, unfortunately."
Alex couldn't remember the exact time when Cornell came into the picture, but it wasn't long before the SOUNDGARDEN vocalist's death in 2017. Recalling a jam session between him, Eddie and Chris, Alex said: "Chris was in a very fragile part of his life, so to speak. I got behind the drums, and he started playing bass. We played for 45 minutes. This motherfucker got so into it, he started bleeding. I said, 'This is the man you want.' And then he died."
In a recent episode of "Ozzy Speaks" on SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard, Ozzy recalled when VAN HALEN opened for BLACK SABBATH in 1978 on the European leg of the latter band's "Never Say Die!" tour.
"I just couldn't believe it," Ozzy said. "[Eddie Van Halen] made it look so fucking easy. They outshone us. They blew us off the stage.
"Eddie was a great guy," Ozzy added. "He was always nice with me. He was a lovely man to be around, and Alex [Van Halen]. I took all of them down to my local pub… That was fucking great."
Osbourne previously discussed his memories of touring with VAN HALEN in an October 2022 interview with Revolver. He said at the time: "[Eddie Van Halen] was such a great guy. They came to our local pub and it was good fun. But David Lee Roth, he's lost a couple of nuts and bolts. When you meet him, it's like, 'What's wrong with him?' He's like somewhere else, you know?"
Ozzy also discussed the supposed cross-town rivalry Randy Rhoads, the first guitarist Osbourne worked with after BLACK SABBATH, had with Eddie Van Halen.
"They were arch enemies," Ozzy remembered. "Randy didn't have a lot to say about Eddie. They were very, very similar guitar players. Eddie took that tapping thing to another level. Randy could do that, but he liked people like Leslie West.
"It amazes me that you get Eddie, you get Randy, and you go, 'No one's ever gonna top that.' But there's a new thing round every corner."
Rhoads's pre-Ozzy band QUIET RIOT had been gigging on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California at the same time as VAN HALEN. Although both Rhoads and Van Halen later became some of the most influential guitarists of the 20th century, playing with a similar flare and incorporating finger-tapping into their fleet-fingered solos, Eddie found commercial success before Rhoads, due in part to the fact that VAN HALEN landed a record deal years before QUIET RIOT did.
The rivalry between Rhoads and Van Halen was explored in the documentary "Randy Rhoads: Reflections Of A Guitar Icon", which was released in May 2022. The film contains archive audio of Van Halen discussing Rhoads, saying, "He was one guitarist who was honest, anyway. Because he said everything he did he learned from me.
"He was good," Van Halen continued. "But I don't really think he did anything that I haven't done. And there ain't nothing wrong with it. I've copied some other people, you know?" 4
