BLACK STAR RIDERS Live at Wacken Open Air 2014; Video Of Full Show Streaming
Black Star Riders, founded by members of the legendary Thin Lizzy, performed at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival in 2014 after having released their debut album, All Hell Breaks Loose. Video footage of the full performance can be seen below:
Nuclear Blast will release Black Star Riders’ third studio album, Heavy Fire, tomorrow, Friday, February 3rd. Guitarist Damon Johnson has issued the following:
“To celebrate the release of our third Black Star Riders album, I've prepared this guitar demo of the monstrous title track, "Heavy Fire". Featured are my black Gibson Explorer that I played on the album and my Yamaha THR10 practice amp. Enjoy and please share!”
2016 saw Black Star Riders return to the studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, The Foo Fighters, Mastodon), at his studio just outside Nashville. The resultant album is Black Star Riders most accomplished work to date. From the immediate riffs of album opener “Heavy Fire” to the instant hooks of first single “When The Night Comes In”, from the dirty bass groove of “Thinking About You Could Get Me Killed” to the familiar and trademark dual guitars of Gorham and Johnson on “Testify Or Say Goodbye”, this is an album that will further cement BSR’s reputation as one of the world premiere rock acts.
