Over the course of six melancholic tracks, Echoes From Deep November charts a perpetual struggle with mental health and the tribulations of living with deep rooted depression. Each track documents peaks and plateaus of inner torment, internal rationalisation and an ongoing struggle to survive. Additionally, personal experiences witnessing pain and struggle in others feeds into the cacophony of anguish and oppression.
Written throughout 2018 and 2019, Echoes From Deep November was recorded with producer Dave Kaminsky (Infera Bruo, Stone Healer), who the band describe as being like a fifth member. Their desire to capture the organic nature of their live sound has paid dividends; each of the six tracks reverberates with energy and emotion. Haunting artwork by Caelen Stokkermans finishes off the pensive package of melodic doom with a macabre flourish.

I wanted the viewer to not only hear, but see, the transformation I’m referring to, and understand the metaphors in the track. It was fun to be able to tell the story without a lot of musical performance to push it along, and we’ve been eager for everyone to see it!”

Poland's esteemed black/death metal collective Azarath have unveiled a music video for the upcoming album's Saint Desecration closing track, "Beyond The Gates Of Burning Ghats". The video, a first for the band in their 22 year history, was filmed by the renowned Grupa 13 production house (Kreator, Behemoth, Amon Amarth). Saint Desecration is due out November 27 via Agonia Records.
The unholy metal congregation is pealing its bells for the third time this decade, announcing the successor of Blasphemers' Maledictions (2011) and In Extremis (2017). Saint Desecration is a new extreme illumination revealed by Azarath at the altar of blackened death metal. Unrepentant and provocative to the core, the album is set to astound the connoisseurs of sonic terror.
Azarath crept from the shadows over two decades ago and is often described as a demonic mutation of Krisiun, Behemoth and Immolation. The sound of SCOUR can best be described as a modern reimagining of what primarily became known as black metal mixed with elements of grindcore and bits of punk and thrash. Without getting too caught up in genre classification, the result is a brand of ominously-hued, punishing minimalism that pays proper homage the the originators, without the trappings of being a "throwback," reimagining the lineage from primitive punk darkness into modernity. This nuanced approach was, perhaps, made crystal clear with the 2019 release of their cover of BATHORY's "Massacre".
In its short existence, the band has graced the stages of many of the major players in both the mainstream and metal-oriented music festival circuits including Roskilde, Hellfest, Tecate Metal Festival, Maryland Deathfest, and more. As the lineage of its membership suggests, SCOUR continues to be a proverbial force with which to be reckoned both on the stage and in the studio.

Following favorite TSO themes of “strangers helping strangers” and “the kindness of others,” “Christmas Eve and Other Stories” takes listeners all over the world to help reunite a young girl with her distraught father. This song was taken from our brand new album called Where Death Lies (out now on Season of Mist) and is a straight-forward no-nonsense death metal track! The video was recorded by our very own bassist, Yarne Heylen, at the Project Zero studio, located in Bert’s backyard! We both use handcrafted Cathedral cabinets which give us a unique and warm sound. Jonathan uses a 'Mayones Setius Gothic 6' powered by an 'Peavey 6505' amp. Driven by the most chainsaw sounding pedal, The 'Lone Wolf Audio Left Hand Wrath'. For the lead parts he uses the 'Electro Harmonix Canyon' delay. You will certainly notice the joy we (and our death metal loving studio cat) had while recording this video!"
Where Death Lies was recorded from January to April 2020. The drums were recorded by Wojtek & Sławek Wieslawski at the Hertz Recording Studio in Białystok, Poland and the guitars, bass & vocals were recorded by Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio in Nijlen, Belgium.

Greek melodic metal masters, Nightfall, will be releasing their back catalogue on vinyl and CD formats. The band's five most influential albums will be released via Season Of Mist in the first two months of 2021. The exact releases are as follows:

It is the mother of all good music and rebellious styles rooted deep in the heart of the death and black scene. As band we decided to keep the original artwork and the original sound to let old fans remember the greatness of those times and the younger ones to taste the real thing. In celebration, the band has also released a brand new performance video for the track "As Your God Is Failing Once Again", which is taken from the album Macabre Sunsets. The video was shot at the Sierra Studio's last summer and can be viewed below.
