KILLITOROUS Reveal “Married With Children” Video

Canada's tech-death comedy metal band Killitorous (which consists of members from Annihilator, Suffocation, First Fragment and more) have revealed their new video “Married With Children”, the first single off their new album The Afterparty.

The band comments: "The song is not based around the character Al Bundy, but the song is based more around the character Glen (who is also portrayed by dctor Ed O'Neill) from Wayne's World and visits the idea of what he did before he started serving donuts, and why he is so damaged emotionally."

The Afterparty is a follow up to 2014's Party, Grind which was also co-produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Donaldson (Despised Icon, The Agonist, Shadow of Intent) at The Grid in Montreal, Quebec.

The album features three guitars (which recording wise was a nightmare), tons of blast beats, brutal bass and vocals, of course tons of movie references, cartoon parodies and endless phrases maintaining the fine art of partying.

There will be tons of guest features including members from: Voivod, Allaegeon, Cryptopsy, Erimha and more.

Release dates is set for April 20.

The tracklisting is as wacky and weird as usual, with a constant barrage of twisted pop-culture humor:

“All Hail The Starchild”
“Married With Children”
“Rodney Dangerfield Of Dreams”
“Eat Your God Alive”
“Slavesphere”
“Re-anima-tomatron”
“30 Minutes”
“Insanity As A Pathway To Fame & Fortune: The Tyrannical Tirades Of Mike Tyson”
“Total Protonic Reversal”
“King Diamond Dallas Page”

AD INFINITUM To Release Chapter I: Monarchy Album In April; "Marching On Versailles" Music Video Posted

Ad Infinitum invites you into your favourite worst nightmare!.The symphonic metal fire-starters will conquer your mind with their first single, “Marching On Versailles”, off of their upcoming debut album, Chapter I: Monarchy, to be released on April 3 via Napalm Records.

The spellbinding debut grabs your demons by the horns with an intoxicating symbiosis of boasting, energetic and uncompromising metal, set atop a rousing journey throughout history. Escaping the Black Death and transporting you to another era, “Marching On Versailles” breaks in with thrashing drums and stormy guitar riffs. The first single mirrors a bittersweet prologue containing their haunting expedition through the constraints of monarchy. Charismatic singer Melissa Bonny, known from Rage Of Light and as the Queen of the Damned with the Warkings, casts a spell over her audience. Her finely differentiated spectra spanning crystal clear vocals and deep, vibrant growls emphasize the symphonic soundscapes with vigor.

Along with a visually stunning music video, Ad Infinitum underlines their magnificent mysticism - the band’s impressive dark plague masks guide you through the hammering jaws of time. Spiced with a dash of the theatrical, they let the presence flow through to the tips of your fingers and embark on a frantic voyage through the depths of time.

Ad Infinitum on “Marching On Versailles”: “After many months of work in the shadows, it is a pleasure and almost a relief to finally reveal the first single of our debut album Chapter I: Monarchy. We hope that this one and the following ones will captivate and seduce you. Doctors strongly advise to play it loud and repeatedly.”

Get in your darkest nightmares and watch “Marching On Versailles” below.

With Chapter I: Monarchy, Ad Infinitum puts a spell on the world and surges right into the heart of epic symphonic metal with full force. Melissa Bonny’s multi-faceted vocals fill every fiber of the anthemic “Demons” - from powerful, fragile highs to deep growls, the track will send shivers down your spine. The energetic and equally melodic soundscapes of the vigorous ballad “Fire and Ice“ perfectly illustrate the heart-wrenching tones of Ad Infinitum.

Pre-order Chapter I: Monarchy here.

Ad Infinitum states: “The time has come, finally! We are very proud to present to you the first chapter of the band's history. We invite you to listen to it daily... You know what they say... Ad Infinitum everyday keeps the doctors away. Or does it?”

Metallica issued the following message in regards to the Metallica Scholars Initiative:

"After an amazing first year with results including 95% job placement rates, we’re very proud to announce that All Within My Hands has just launched year two of the highly successful Metallica Scholars program, a major workforce education initiative. The grants provide direct support to community colleges offering skills and services to students who are looking to enter a traditional trade or other applied learning program.

"Year two of the Metallica Scholars Initiative will add five more community colleges, bringing the total number of schools to 15. It will also receive matching grants from new partners, supplementing All Within My Hands' cumulative $1.5 million contribution.

"Once again AWMH has partnered with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), a Washington, D.C. based organization that represents the nation’s 1,103 community colleges. SCORPIONS Flashback - Rare “We'll Burn The Sky” Performance Video From 1979 Unearthed

German rock legends, Scorpions, continue to release classic live footage. Watch the band perform "We'll Burn The Sky" at Reading Festival in August 1979.

Speaking to Detroit’s WRIF radio station, Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jab spoke about the band’s new upcoming album.

Jabs said, “We know we got older, but inside, we still feel young, and we are very energetic. The shows are great. And writing songs and playing the songs, it feels like it always has, very energetic, powerful. And we have still great ideas. Good songwriting going on at the moment. And this album should be very powerful."

Metallica and Slipknot producer Greg Fidelman will be handling the controls for the record and Jabs was asked will follow a “heavier” direction than their previous releases. "I think so. Because we want it, and everybody says, 'Do something like in the old Blackout days, Love At First Sting. So, that is the idea. We're just a little bit older than we were back then, but that doesn't really matter."

Scorpions recently announced that they will be taking over the Las Vegas Strip later this year with their exclusive headlining residency show. Promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, Scorpions “Sin City Nights” kicks off Saturday, July 4 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Scorpions will be joined by special guests Queensrÿche.

THE UNITY Featuring GAMMA RAY, PRIMAL FEAR Members To Release Pride Album In March; "We Don't Need Them Here" Music Video Streaming

German-Italian melodic metal act, The Unity, have released a video for the new song, "We Don't Need Them Here", featured on their forthcoming studio album, Pride. You can watch the video below.

Following two successful studio albums (The Unity, 2017 and Rise, 2018), tours with Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy and Sinner, among others, not to mention their own headlining shows and performances at renowned festivals all over Europe, the latest album release by power metal act The Unity, entitled Pride, documents the group’s consistent and at the same time impressive development.

“I’d describe our current material not merely as an evolvement, because every band evolves in one way or another. In fact, I’m pretty proud of what we’ve achieved so far, not only in musical terms but also on a personal level,” says Gianbattista Manenti, Italian vocalist of the tight unit, as he likes to refer to it, consisting of himself, drummer Michael Ehré (Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Firewind), guitarists Henjo Richter (Gamma Ray) and Stef, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboardist Sascha Onnen.

In view of increasingly nationalistic tendencies worldwide and misconceived patriotism it may not be altogether innocuous to voice a pride in your own achievements, yet pride in itself is apolitical and lacks any kind of political undertones. So there are not only valid but also exclusively artistic reasons that made The Unity decide to combine their eleven new songs (plus intro) under the heading of Pride. Every single note speaks of that homogeneity, no matter how noisy or how quiet, tough or mellow, determined or laid-back its delivery.

Pride will be released via SPV/Steamhammer on March 13 as 2CD digipak, 2LP gatefold, download and stream. Pre-order here.

Tracklisting 2CD:

Exclusive: STARGAZER Premiers “Shadow Chaser” Video

“Shadow Chaser” is the new single and official video off the new Stargazer album The Sky Is The Limit, released in October last year via Mighty Music. BraveWords is premiering the new single; check it out below!

“With ‘Shadow Chaser’ you can think about the state of mind when you are always tending to, and nursing all the bad and dark elements in your past or present, and have little faith in things getting better in the future. The slow churning heavy sound of the song underpin the darker contents, while the harmonies brings some light to the shadows,” vocalist Tore André Helgemo comments.

Stargazer’s first album received great reviews from the hard rock-based media all over Europe back in 2010. In 2019, nine years on, Stargazer was back with their second album entitled The Sky Is The Limit. After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, DAD, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer were now ready to take on the world.

With a worldwide release provided by Mighty Music at hand, Stargazer set out to be a beacon on the hard rock scene. A bright shining star emerging with energy and power, capacity and skills, and a lyrical universe that both explores and recognizes the heart of darkness in humanity, yet fighting with passion always to light up a light in the gloom of nothingness. With Stargazer, you can hear and see evidence of the will to keep on keeping on.

If you are into “in your face” classic melodic hard rock with elements of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Dio and Deep Purple; then Stargazer is a band for you.

Exclusive: JUSTIFY REBELLION Premieres “Prisoner In Time” Video

Denmark’s Justify Rebellion, who can be considered a mix between Metallica and Volbeat, will release their new album The Ends Justify The Means in March 2020 via Mighty Music. BraveWords is premiering their new single and video for “Prisoner In Time”!

“Prisoner In Time” deals with the busy man that chooses to prioritize his career instead of his loved ones and his only one. The song centers around the feeling of powerlessness, which one can experience when one chooses to opt out the loved ones and instead focus on the job, to achieve a certain status in life and with the life. The man is bound by the limited amount of time, which is available, and doesn’t have the surplus to take care of his partner.

The rebellion is here to stay, proven by this monstrosity of a heavy metal album, which takes its inspiration from several metal genres. With this new album you can easily tell that the kids from the first album Unleashing The Beast have grown into testosterone-filled heavy metal hailers. Their new album is mainly centered on the darker aspects of humanity and society, with the topics on the record varying from greed, war, lust and drugs to vulnerability and self-realization.

The riffs are heavier, the solos are faster, the drums are punchier, and the bass is rumbling its way to mayhem. Never has Justify Rebellion felt so strong and powerful! With this masterpiece of a track list, nothing can take these guys down. Justify Rebellion has turned up the pace, but also made room for some thunderous and slower anthems for fans to break their necks to.

BraveWords previously premiered their video "Crowd Control"; check it out:

Lead Guitar: Nikolaj Madsen
Bass: Stephen Torpe Andersen
Drums: Nikolaj Ersbøll Ross

DYNAZTY Release "Presence Of Mind" Music Video

Dynazty have released a music video for "Presence Of Mind", a song from their upcoming new album, The Dark Delight, out on April 3 via AFM Records. Order the single here, and watch the new clip below.

“‘Presence Of Mind’ showcases the raw nature of our band and is just the kind of groovy and melodic onslaught of a song we always wanted to release as a first single.”

Formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008, Dynazty has since released six albums in a mere 10 year window. Straying from their early days of ‘80s influenced hard rock, the band has developed and refined their sound into something that merges the modern metal scene with the past, crafting something wholly unique.

Today the band is comprised of highly respected and sought after musicians, active on the metal scene in more than one way. Bassist Jonathan Olsson can also be seen in both Lindemann and Pain, guitarist Love Magnusson and drummer Georg Härnsten Egg frequently tours with rock legends such as Dee Snider and Joe Lynn Turner. Guitarist Mikael Lavér has been featured with both Lindemann and Joe Lynn Turner, while singer Nils Molin can be heard and seen around the globe with the ever rising star of fellow Swedish band Amaranthe.

Singer Nils Molin says about the album: “We pulled out all the stops, pulled no punches and held nothing back on this one. The Dark Delight is the complete vision of what this band has always wanted to be.”

ARCHSPIRE Streaming “Remote Tumor Seeker” Bass Playthrough Video

Archspire bassist Jared Smith has shared a bass play-thru video for the song "Remote Tumor Seeker," which is taken from the band's 2017 JUNO-Nominated release, Relentless Mutation.

Archspire recently partnered up with Sheet Happens to release the full bass and guitar transcription for their latest full-length, Relentless Mutation. The Printed & Digital Books come with an instant download pack containing the Print-Ready Guitar Book PDF (eBook) and the Complete Guitar Pro files. Purchase the transcription here.

Additionally, Archspire have recently made both national and international headlines for being the perfect musical template for the creation of Artificially Intelligent death metal.

Dadabots is special artificial intelligent (AI) software that creates music. The software, developed by Berkley College of Music graduates Zack Zukowski and CJ Carr, is built upon a "recurrent neural network" that receives data and then uses it to interpret musical sequences on its own. Simply stated, the software teaches itself how to compose music based on the work of an existing band as its data-set.

After several failed attempts at creating stable, listenable death metal, the creators turned to the music of Archspire, which ended up being the perfect template to generating metal tunes via artificial intelligence.

"The neural net we used listened to 'Relentless Mutation' over and over again," explains Zukowski. "All raw audio, no tabs, no midi. It generates what it thinks it hears and tunes itself until it begins to intimate the sounds from the original album. After generating, it randomly stitches the audios together, refills the buffer, and streams it with ffmpeg. Repeat."

He continues, "The remarkable part is the high quality-to-shit ratio. We tried this with 100 albums and found that Archspire's music made for the most interesting bot. Zero curation was necessary. Everything it generates sounds good to us. You're hearing everything it makes. Our theory is the faster the blast beats, the more stable the net. Archspire is absurdly fast - they are basically machines. So far, we haven't found anything that works better."

Archspire adds, "We've been hearing about this 'AI that's trained on Archspire writing death metal' over the past few weeks. Well, here's the thing: We actually aren't surprised about this. We've been utilizing very similar technology to write our music this entire time. The program we've been using? It's called T.O.B.I. It stands for:

Technically
Outrageous
Boner
Inducer

"Tobi has been part of our writing process since 2009, and while you may notice that he takes on a physical form as guitarist in the band, rest assured under those tight fitting clothes, he's more machine than man."

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS Present "Rowing With One Hand" Music Video

Batten down the hatches! Swedish sea pillagers, Ye Banished Privateers, will capsize your ship with their third single, “Rowing With One Hand”, from the upcoming album, Hostis Humani Generis. Along with an atmospheric audiovisual, Ye Banished Privateers present another snapshot straight from the pirate capital Nassau.

In the cinematic video, the Swedish pirates prepare the great escape from court and fight for their freebooter rights, clashing with the upscale bourgeoisie. Unmistakably folky, charming and with a bunch of drunken humour, Ye Banished Privateers draws you into their maritime universe. “Rowing With One Hand” presents the hard life of pirates on the wild ride through the ancient times.

This intense sing-along hymn and its catchy rhythm lets the listener take part in the ferocious side of the pirates and lets them flee in a cheerful frenzy from the clutches of decency. They find their way in the storm, setting course for the next adventure and keep fighting for their rebellious freedom.

The savage beast from the north, Ye Banished Privateers, returns with their enthralling fourth album, Hostis Humani Generis, out February 7 via Napalm Records. The new full-length is the most authentic of pirate manifests – with more than enough audacious atmosphere, sing-along hymns, folk tunes and foul rambling to secure the band’s unique position in the genre. These Swedish marauders of the sea take you through the ups and downs of pirate life!

Pre-order here.

Ye Banished Privateers on Hostis Humani Generis: “It is with great pride that we present to you our fourth full-length album - Hostis Humani Generis! Over the course of 13 songs (well, 15 if you get the deluxe box) we tell the immersive story of a delinquent pirate crew, the downfall of the pirate republic of Nassau, and the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. We are immensely happy that the time has finally come to share this with you all, and we really hope you like it as much as we do!”

Finland's OCEANHOARSE Release Official Video For "Maze Of Death"

Oceanhoarse, the Helsinki-based ambassadors of heavy metal, have released a video for the song "Maze Of Death". Despite its violent riffling and intimidating ferocity, the track actually has a positive message behind the lyrics.

"It seems like everyone is in such a hurry these days, as if life is just a game one needs to play through as efficiently as possible. Before Monuments embark on their extensive spring tour, the band announce the release of their track and video for "Animus". It is the first song and video featuring Andy Cizek on vocals and a reintroduction of drummer Mike Malyan as full-time members.

"Hey Y'all', We're excited to show you our new track 'Animus'. Lyrically, this song explores overcoming anxiety. Embracing your burdens and letting them flourish into a positive driving force. Thus, these demons became my 'Animus'. Thanks for listening," states Andy Cizek about the track.

IRONFLAME Release Official Video For “Blood Red Cross”

U.S. heavy metal warriors Ironflame have released the official video for "Blood Red Cross," the second single from forthcoming album Blood Red Victory. The video was recorded by Ralf Stadler at 7er Club Mannheim, DE on September 11, 2019.

Recorded, performed, mixed, and mastered by D'Cagna (with guitar leads by Lukas and Scott) at Sacred Sound in Martins Ferry, OH from December 2018 through February 2019, Blood Red Victory finds Ironflame once again brandishing their trademark approach to soaring, triumphant heavy metal hymns. Regarding its subject matter, D'Cagna states, "There is a recurring theme of victory in the lyrics for this album. Some songs have an air of chest-out confidence; others are about overcoming adversaries or even adversity itself. Most have been written from a 'we/us' perspective, which makes the listener feel like, 'We're in this together.'"

Clocking in at ten tracks in just over 50 minutes, Blood Red Victory is sure to be a heavy metal favorite in 2020. As with past efforts from Ironflame, the disc will be a must-have for diehard fanatics of heavy metal's true legacy.

Tracklisting:

“Gates Of Evermore”
“Honor Bound”
“Seekers Of The Blade”
“Blood Red Cross”
“On Ashen Wings”
“Graves Of Thunder”
“Grace And Valor”
“Night Queen”
“The Serpent And The Throne”*
