ONSLAUGHT Release "Religiousuicide" Guitar Playthrough Video

UK-based thrash metal trailblazers, Onslaught, present a new guitar playthrough video for “Religiousuicide”, the first single from the band’s upcoming Generation Antichrist album, set for the release on August 7 via AFM Records.

“Probably the most intense track from the Generation Antichrist album, it's a full-on relentless MF from start to finish,” says guitarist Wayne Dorman. “We used a cool Chromatic pattern for the main riff before the fireworks kick in on the verses. It’s a hard workout to nail it super tight and I really had to get my shit together. Dave Garnett, our vocalist, shared the solo duties with me on this one. I really dig the contrast between the two styles, it's definitely a scorcher. I'm gonna be tabbing this one out sometime soon for this who are interested.”

“Religiousuicide” was recorded using Caparison C2 and Solar A Series guitars with the Neural DSP Fortin Cali Suite plugin for the guitar tones.

Guitarist and founding member Nige Rockett previously noted that “Religiousuicide”, “is one of the most intense, hate filled songs that Onslaught has ever written and it’s definitely one for the pit!” Watch the official lyric video for the song below.

Onslaught’s long-awaited new album was recorded at Dugout Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, with Grammy Award winning Daniel Bergstrand (Behemoth, In Flames, Meshuggah) at the helm, capturing the innovative band’s classic sound with a pristine modern production. On first listen, tracks such as the vicious album opener, “Strike Fast Strike Hard”, “Bow Down To The Clowns”, and “Religiousuicide” pin ears to the speakers and prove that a move to involve Bergstrand has given Onslaught an edge that even their definitive ‘80s years couldn’t quite capture.

Generation Antichrist is the first album to feature new vocalist Dave Garnett, replacing longtime frontman Sy Keeler. Garnett, who has stepped in on occasion to perform live with Onslaught, delivers a vocal performance on par with the brutal musical attack that is Generation Antichrist.

Pre-orders for Generation Antichrist are available at this location.

Tracklisting:

"Rise To Power"
"Strike Fast Strike Hard"
"Bow Down To The Clowns"
"Generation Antichrist"
"All Seeing Eye"
"Addicted To The Smell Of Death"
"Empires Fall"
"Religiousuicide"
"A Perfect Day To Die"

Watch METALLICA's Entire 1989 Concert In Irvine

METALLICA has posted another video as part of its new concert series, "#MetallicaMondays", where the band is streaming a complete live show for fans on the group's YouTube channel and on Facebook every week. The latest concert to be shared was recorded on drummer Lars Ulrich's personal camcorder on September 23, 1989 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California.

The band states: "Don't expect some fancy pro-shot video this time around!"

METALLICA has been largely out of the public eye since last fall when the band canceled an Australian tour and announced that frontman James Hetfield was returning to rehab for the first time since 2002 to battle his addictions.

Hetfield made his first major public appearance since entering rehab on January 30, when an exhibit featuring 10 of his classic custom cars opened at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

In March, METALLICA announced that its South American tour, which was originally planned for April, has been postponed until December. In addition, the band's appearances at five Danny Wimmer Presents-produced festivals in May, September and October have been canceled: Epicenter in Charlotte, Welcome To Rockville in Daytona, Sonic Temple in Columbus, Louder Than Life in Louisville and Aftershock in Sacramento.

Guitarist Kirk Hammett told The Pulse Of Radio not long ago that METALLICA has to be in better than average shape to play its music live. "There's a physicality to our music that we cannot ignore, so we just kind of have to keep ourselves in a certain sort of physical sort of state where that we can't let ourselves get to a point where we can't play these songs," he said. "That's just not allowed. When we write this music, we have to make sure that we can play it and play it when we need to play it."

SCORPIONS Perform "Rock You Like A Hurricane" Live At Hellfest 2015; Pro-Shot Video

Professionally-filmed footage of Scorpions performing "Rock You Like A Hurricane" live at France's Hellfest in June 2015 can be seen below:

Previously released videos from the same show:

Scorpions have announced that dates for their "Sin City Nights" Las Vegas residency, with special guests Queensrÿche, will now take place May 8 - 30, 2021 at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood.

All tickets will be honored for the new dates. If you are a ticket holder and cannot make the new show date, you will receive an email from your ticket provider or you can visit livenation.com/refund.

Speaking recently with abc News Radio, Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine discussed the band's new single, "Sign Of Hope" (streaming below), and working on their new studio album

Meine reports that the Scorpions began writing material for the project last year, adding, "I think we have some great songs. And so far, it's a really inspiring journey."

Klaus also says the band had intended to record the new album in Los Angeles with producer Greg Fidelman, whose previous credits include Slipknot and Metallica. However, because of the pandemic, much of the work so far has been done at home or at the band's Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, Germany, with Fidelman taking part via Zoom.

"[W]e made great progress and [it] was a lot of fun, even now in this restricted and very strange situation," Meine says about the Peppermint Park sessions.

Stay tuned for updates.

Former MACHINE HEAD, DAVID LEE ROTH, JOURNEY Members Team Up For Cover Of VAN HALEN's 'Loss Of Control' (Video)

Former MACHINE HEAD and current VIO-LENCE guitarist Phil Demmel has teamed up with singer Jeff Scott Soto (SONS OF APOLLO, JOURNEY), bassist Billy Sheehan (SONS OF APOLLO, THE WINERY DOGS, DAVID LEE ROTH) and drummer Dave McClain (SACRED REICH, MACHINE HEAD) to record a "quarantine" cover version of the VAN HALEN song "Loss Of Control" as part of Phil's new series "Collab-A-Jam".

Phil uploaded the video to his YouTube channel, writing in an accompanying message: "This a song Dave and I have been jamming for awhile. It had to be covered.

"While I was touring with NONPOINT last year, my bud Jeff came to a show and we talked about our VH worship. He went on to show me his 'tri-tone' DLR screams that pretty much NO ONE can match. I've been waiting for the perfect tune to come along to ask him to do and this was perfect!

"I was going to reach for the moon and ask him to hit up his band-mate Billy to join us but he beat me to the punch and MADE IT HAPPEN. McClain puts on a tight shirt/Alex VH shades and kills this.

"If you haven't seen DLR's 1983 US Festival footage, check it out to get our opening scene Iced Tea reference.

"Such an honor to be joined by these guys to jam on a kick-ass song by some of our heroes of Rock."

Exclusive: SYGNAL TO NOISE Premieres “Neurotic” Video

Sygnal To Noise has premiered their latest music Video “Neurotic” off their last CD release Horns High, through BraveWords! The concept of the video is about the day in the life of a person’s battle dealing with Neurotic tendencies and as he comes to find out, the band is causing it!

Sygnal To Noise, a melodic hard rock band, was founded in February of 2013 by frontman, Coopa, a singer/songwriter and veteran of the New England music scene.

Their mission is to help bring rock ‘n’ roll to modern fans and back to its former glory on mainstream radio once again. Sygnal To Noise has been greatly inspired and influenced by bands like Queen, KISS, Alice Cooper and David Bowie, for their showmanship and visuals with a blend of such bands as Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam for their songwriting and vocal styles.

Having the perfect blend of creativity and diverse talent; Breanne ( Breezy ) Powell on Bass, Christopher Skehan on guitar, Dave Pike on guitar and Austin Cooper on drums; and their combined creative process, passion and vision is what pushes their focus and drive for the future of rock ‘n’ roll.

The band has put together a large interactive visual live performance, with visual art, as well as cameras and stage effects, to help immerse the audience into the music. This combination creates a more fulfilling visual and audio live experience.

“We want to merge some ‘80s antics and flair. With the ‘90s melodies and more honest lyrical content. But also try and stir that pot in such a way it is digestible to a mainstream audience of now.” ~ Coopa

Founder and frontman, Coopa tells us that his personal inspiration came from rock ‘n’ roll greats such as Queen, KISS, Bowie, Prince, Motley Crue, and Marilyn Manson for their visual showmanship as well as many of the great bands of the ‘90s era, for their song writing. Starting with the drums he reports playing in a few local bands, then realized early on he was not going to be the kind of drummer I wanted to be. Then a friend heard him sing for fun one evening he was told he should step out from behind the kit and sing. This was the ‘90s when all the big singers at the time had the more grounded voices with a lot of depth to them. This really appealed to him. With Front men like Scott Weiland, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Layne Stayley, and Kurt Cobain, he felt a connection to these singers. This inspired him to push forward with better developing his vocals to what you hear today.

Coopa also honed his guitar skills over the years which made him a well-rounded musician and songwriter you hear today. After a few bands and years later, he decided to get back into the music scene again to write with his son Austin on drums. He reports that It was then, and still is today the best feeling in the world to create music with his son! Coopa explains that the goal of Sygnal To Noise has always been to help try and bring back rock-n-roll to the mainstream again. To inspire young people to pick up an instrument and hell maybe dress up a little crazy and express themselves.

“Rock ‘n’ roll is not dead Mr. Gene Simmons. It is just resting. The bands from the past are still out there kickin ass!” All we need is the business to realize that new bands are out there as well. Very willing to push Rock n Roll forward. We just need to be heard. So here we are trying to be heard. Hope you all like what you hear.” ~ Mark Cooper (AKA Coopa) Lead Vocals & Guitar

OZZY OSBOURNE's Daughter AIMÉE Releases New Single From ARO Project, 'Shared Something With The Night'

Aimée Osbourne, the eldest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon, has shared the music video for her new single "Shared Something With The Night", released under the ARO banner. The clip premiered exclusively with Rolling Stone, which wrote, "The video shows off a duskier, more dramatic side to her aesthetic — especially the shadowy video that shows her singing the song in a church while her masked band rocks out in the dark."

Aimée stated about "Shared Something With The Night": "The song is like a MY BLOODY VALENTINE lullaby for the romantically tormented that struggle to sleep at night. I wrote it when I was living in New York and feeling pretty alone and lost. I hadn't fully connected with who I really was and what that meant yet. Hung up on the outcome of someone else's approval of me to determine my own self-worth. This weird little song was an outlet for a lot of uncomfortability at the time."

ARO plans to release more music later in the year.

Aimée reportedly refused to appear in the reality show "The Osbournes", and even went as far as to move out of the family home in an effort to stay away from the cameras. She later explained in an interview: "I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with 'The Osbournes' and done the whole thing, I would have been typecast right away."

She elaborated during a 2015 RollingStone.com interview, saying: "I don't think I will ever cross-contaminate my private life and my family life with my public and professional worlds. For me, nothing's more important than having a very clear boundary between the two. That's just part of who I am."

DRAGONFORCE's HERMAN LI And SAM TOTMAN Show You How To Write An ALESTORM Song In 10 Minutes (Video)

A week after attempting to write a SABATON-style song in 10 minutes, DRAGONFORCE guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman returned to Twitch to take a stab at composing a song in the vein of Scottish pirate metallers ALESTORM. Video of the resulting session has since been uploaded to DRAGONFORCE's official YouTube channel and can be seen below.

Li recently told Nuclear Blast's "Saturday Night Lockdown" that he and his bandmates have stayed creative during the coronavirus downtime.

"We played our first show [in support of our eighth full-length LP, 'Extreme Power Metal'] on the album release date [last September], which was on TwitchCon, which is a Twitch convention," he said. "And we got that streamed to, like, 1.7 million people. Everything started out great — it was awesome. We had a sold-out tour happening. Everything was going well. We were gonna film a music video for every single DRAGONFORCE song on the album, and we got halfway through it, and COVID-19 happened. So the tour stopped. And some videos, we can't complete them. We filmed all of it, but we need some more footage. So we've got videos on hold now. And instead, we're writing a new album. Why not? Just like everybody — you just write a new album when you're sitting at home. And strangely enough, it's almost finished. [Laughs]"

DRAGONFORCE's recent European and North American tour dates marked the band's first with new bassist and backing vocalist Alicia Vigil (VIGIL OF WAR), who joined DRAGONFORCE in January. Last August, DRAGONFORCE parted ways with longtime bassist Frédéric Leclercq. Playing bass for the group at some its shows late last year was Damien Rainaud, who produced "Extreme Power Metal".

ALESTORM's latest album, "Curse Of The Crystal Coconut", was released on May 29 via Napalm Records.

AC/DC's 'The Story Of Back In Black' Video Series; Third Episode Available

Legendary rockers AC/DC have launched a new video series, "The Story Of Back In Black", as part of the 40th-anniversary celebrations of AC/DC's classic 1980 album "Back In Black". The third episode in the series, focusing on the title track, can be seen below.

Last December, "Back in Black" was certified by the Recording Industry Association Of America for U.S. shipments of 25 million copies.

"Back in Black" first went platinum in October 1980 and had previously been certified 22 times platinum in December 2007. The RIAA lists "Back In Black" as the fourth biggest-selling album of all time.

On July 25, 1980, AC/DC released "Back In Black" in the U.S., followed by the album's U.K. release on July 31. It was the band's first album without lead singer Bon Scott, who had died a few months earlier after passing out and choking on his own vomit following a long night of drinking.

The group quickly decided to press on and hired Brian Johnson from the band GEORDIE to take over on vocals, and they headed to the Bahamas for about six weeks to do the album. AC/DC had made some serious headway in America before Scott's death, but no one knew how "Back In Black" would be received.

Johnson told The Pulse of Radio that he didn't have a clue how successful "Back In Black" would turn out to be. "I'd just melted me brain in there, and I didn't know if it was good or bad," he said. "That was the first time I'd been in the Bahamas, anyway, or near America, you know, and you (have to) remember, I was just fascinated by the whole culture and all, and I had no idea what the hell I was doing! And (laughs) lucky, really — I was a bit lucky, I think."

"Back In Black" included the singles "You Shook Me All Night Long", which peaked at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Back In Black", which peaked at No. 37.

Despite its massive success, it never got higher than No. 4 on the album charts. The band's next album, "For Those About To Rock", reached No. 1.

"Back In Black" was produced by Robert "Mutt" Lange, who went on to produce DEF LEPPARD, FOREIGNER, THE CARS, and BRYAN ADAMS.

In 2012, "Back In Black" was added to The Recording Academy's legendary Grammy Hall Of Fame collection.

AC/DC recently launched a range of new merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Back In Black".

NIGHTWISH Vocalist FLOOR JANSEN's New Episode Of "Floor Finds" Featuring AMARANTHE's ELIZE RYD Available (Video)

Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen has launched a new online series called Floor Finds, featuring conversation with a guest that does not necessarily center on music. Check out the new episode below.

Floor: "For the second installment of Floor Finds I talked with Elize Ryd about what makes singing live so special. What is your most memorable memory of attending a live show?"

During a conversation with Ultimate Guitar's Justin Beckner, Nightwish bassist Marko Hietala talked about the addition of singer Floor Jansen to the band, who joined the fold in 2013, while also touching on the ongoing lockdown, the band's former singer Anette Olzen, and more. Following is an excerpt from the interview.

UG: What made Floor the right choice as a singer for Nightwish?

Marko: "Well, in hindsight, I would say that we were able to get the best personal chemistry between the band and the vocalist. Now we can talk about that because it's the personal chemistry of a band. With Floor, the question was always that she was a fan of this hard music. She was always a fan of it. She wanted to be in bands and started doing it and got her feet under her in the process. So in that way, it's easier for her, therefore it's easier for all of us.

Vocally, all of the vocalists have been brilliant. But then there is this thing about who is best suited for this life on the road. The guys in the band, we're pretty much road horses. I mean, I am really hooked on doing shows - I really like to be an entertainer and I like to make music with the people that I like and when you get the big bubble going where you, your friends, and the audience are all going crazy with that same [energy], it's just brilliant. That's my life's biggest drug, so I'm happy to go on the road."

UG: We miss having you out on the road. Has there been any discussion about when and how you might be able to get back out there?

Marko: "All the festivals toppled over one by one like dominos and now they are pretty much closing the whole summer already. So we still have hope that there might be a medical breakthrough that could allow us to still do the European tour in November and December. But I cannot really be for sure about that either. The only thing I know from my personal experience is that when it happens, I will be ready to raise some goddamn serious hell."

DES ROCS Unveils “I Know” Single, Video

Following the recent jubilant and electrifying live performance video of "Wayne," New York rocker Des Roc has unveiled a contrasting glimpse at another layer of who he is as an artist with the film noir-tinged music video from his new track, "I Know."  The eerie and cinematically clever clip can be viewed below:

Said Des Rocs, "'I Know' is meant for anyone struggling with who they are and who they want to be.  I want people to know that they're not alone in whatever darkness they face."

Des Rocs is a 4th generation New Yorker who toured the world as a classical violinist in high school; loves Jack Kerouac, Chopin, and biographies of American Presidents; holds a law degree; walks or bikes 10 miles a day, every day; counts Elvis, Talking Heads and Queen among his major inspirations; donates time to dog rescue organizations; thinks he was born in the wrong time and should have lived in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s; in another life, would be a New York City walking tour guide; spends up to four hours a day interacting with fans on his socials; a favorite author is popular historian and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner David McCullough; and Des Rocs is a person who has a completely new vision of rock'n'roll.

HATE Launch Guitar Playthrough Video For "Seventh Manvantara"

In the new video below, Hate's Dominik "Domin" Prykiel performs a playthrough of "Seventh Manvantara", from the band's Auric Gates Of Veles album, released via Metal Blade Records in 2019.

After six years, three albums, and countless shows on almost every continent, Hate's drummer Paweł "Pavulon" Jaroszewicz recently decided to leave the band to focus on new projects.

Pavulon states: "The last 2 years were pretty difficult for me because of a relentless work schedule in all the bands and projects I worked with, resulting in constant exhaustion and eventually health problems, mainly with my wrists from all the abuse and imperfect technique. Late last year, I started rebuilding my playing from scratch and also paying more attention to my health and work ethics. I chose to take a break from my usual work routine and use the time to get back on track in the future with a brand new approach. With this in mind, I decided it would interfere with Hate's activity, and the last thing I want are my personal issues to affect others' hard work. Therefore, I decided to let go and allow my good friend Daniel to step in and carry on the legacy. He's an amazing young drummer, and I'm sure you'll be amazed by what he will bring to the band's sound and performance. I would like to thank Hate for all the years we shared for better and worse. It was definitely an important part of my life, and I will always be thankful for this journey."

Hate adds: "We would like to wish Pavulon all the best in his projects to come and thank him for his contributions to the band. With that said, we welcome the talented Daniel 'Nar-Sil' Rutkowski to the band. Nar-Sil has already sat behind the drums for Hate during the Europe Under Black Death Metal Tour Vol II and worked with many big names in the Polish metal scene such as Virgin Snatch, Neolith, Embrional, and Dira Mortis."

Nar-Sil comments: "I'm super excited about joining Hate and the new material we are hard at work on! Things have been moving quickly, but the flow is excellent, and in time, I'm sure the fruit of our labour will be powerful and monstrous Extreme Metal. I'm looking forward to showcasing what we've been working on, and of course, seeing you all on the road!"

Hate plan to return to the stage soon! In the meantime, fans can watch a new drum play-through by Daniel "Nar-Sil" Rutkowski, made in cooperation with Drummers From Hell:

VIC AND THE RATTLEHEADS aka MEGADETH Perform "Tornado Of Souls" At Secret Show In 2016; Official Video Streaming

More video of Vic And The Rattleheads, aka Megadeth, performing at a secret show at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY on December 12, 2016, has been released. Watch the band perform "Tornado Of Souls", as well as the previously posted "Rattlehead" and “Hangar 18”, below:

Rust In Peace: The Inside Story Of The Megadeth Masterpiece, by Dave Mustaine with Joel Selvin, will be released on September 8. Pre-order in a variety of limited edition autographed bundles here, and watch a short video trailer below.

A new book by the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of Megadeth, the original lead guitarist of Metallica, and the author of the New York Times bestseller, Mustaine.

Rust In Peace: The Inside Story Of The Megadeth Masterpiece details the making of Megadeth’s iconic record, Rust In Peace, which was released in 1990, at an incredible time of flux and creativity in the rock world. Relayed by Dave Mustaine, the book covers the process of hiring the band and supporting cast, of trying to handle the ensuing success, and ultimately the pressure of fame and fortune - which caused the band to finally break-up. In short, it’s a true story of groundbreaking anti-pop that was moving toward the mainstream (or the mainstream that was moving toward the band), at a time of great cultural change, power, ego, drugs, and other vices that went hand-in-hand with rock n' roll, circa the late eighties-early nineties.

Little did Mustaine know that the birth pangs of the record were nothing compared to the oncoming pain and torment that would surround it. Alcohol, drugs, sex, money, power, property, prestige, the lies the band was told by the industry - and the lies they told each other - were just beginning, and much like rust in real life, these factors would ultimately eat away at the band’s bond until only the music survived.

Rust In Peace: The Inside Story Of The Megadeth Masterpiece is a story of perseverance, of scraping off the rust off that builds over time on everything: ourselves, our relationships, pop culture, art, and music.

Megadeth recently announced the rescheduled dates for The Metal Tour Of The Year with Lamb Of God, Trivium, and In Flames. All tickets will be honored with the rescheduled dates, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

THROWN INTO EXILE Releases New Single And Music Video, 'The Mourning'

Los Angeles natives THROWN INTO EXILE have released a new single and music video, "The Mourning". It is the first taste of what's to come as the band prepares for its sophomore release later this year.

Prior to the world being put on pause, 2020 was shaping up to be a great year for the five-piece, with an active 2019 playing festivals from the Mexico Metal Fest to Psycho Las Vegas and supporting some of today's metal heavyweights, including IN FLAMES, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, ARCH ENEMY and AT THE GATES.

Guitarist and main songwriter Mario Rubio says: "While 'The Mourning' is a step in a more aggressive direction for THROWN INTO EXILE, the song has a very somber atmosphere to it musically and lyrically that anyone can relate to at any point and sets the mood for what's come."

THROWN INTO EXILE's music has been described as aggressive, fast and moody. Drawing influences from such bands as SLAYER, FEAR FACTORY, SOILWORK and MACHINE HEAD, the band's name comes from the members' belief that, at some point in life, everyone has felt singled out based on their views or opinions, hence being thrown into exile.

THROWN INTO EXILE's lyrics tap into feelings of pain and loneliness.

Melodic Passion Records has released the second single and video by The Waymaker - a new melodic metal trio from Finland and Sweden, consisting of long-time band mates Christian Liljegren (Narnia, Audiovision) and Jani Stefanovic (Solution 45, Zhakiah, Miseration) - both from Divinefire, and Jani’s wife - Katja Stefanovic (solo artist, ex-Random Eyes).

“I‘m very happy and proud to do this song as this song started the journey doing metal with a divine message.” says Christian and continues: “Together with Jani, Katja and also my good old friend CJ Grimmark in Narnia we really captured to fire in this song and show the way how to develop melodic metal into the future. Christian concludes.

The self-titled album is due to be released in September and will have guest appearances by musicians like Narnia‘s CJ Grimmark (guitar) and Alfred Fridhagen (drums).

The Waymaker's album is produced and mixed by Jani Stefanovic, mastered by Multi Grammy, Gold & Platinum Award winning Thomas Plec Johansson at Panic Room Studios, Sweden (Soilwork, Nocturnal Rites, Gathering Of Kings, Divinefire, Narnia, Solution 45 and many more) and distributed by Sound Pollution.

IZZ - NY Prog Rockers To Release Half Life EP This Month; Music Video For Title Track Streaming

On the heels of their 2019 studio album Don’t Panic, IZZ is set to release a 20-minute EP, entitled Half Life, featuring four tracks including three new studio songs as well as a previously unreleased live version of “The Wait Of It All”, a track originally featured on their 2004 EP, Ampersand Volume 1.

Half Life will be available beginning on July 28 via download on Bandcamp. A limited vinyl pressing and a limited run of Half Life on CD will also be available for purchase directly from the band and their label, Doone Records, via their website.

“The title track of this EP was actually written several years ago, but when we listened to it again recently, it took on new meaning given the uncertainty in the world today and it became obvious to us that we needed to finish mixing it and get it out into the world,” says bassist John Galgano.

Lyrically and thematically, the three new studio songs cover a wide range from the joy and mystery of “The Soul Of Music” to the heartfelt contentment of “Into The Sun” to the escapism and wonder of the title track “Half Life”. Musically, the EP shows a different side to IZZ which the band is keen to present to their fans.

“We’re a band that never likes to do the same thing twice. We want to keep things interesting not only for our fans, but for ourselves,” says keyboardist and producer Tom Galgano.

“This EP comes at an interesting time for the band and for the world because we have been using our time at home these past few months to take a deep dive into writing our next proper studio album which we plan on releasing in 2021 and this EP kind of snuck its way into our consciousness, so we decided to go with it and follow the muse,” says drummer Brian Coralian.

Watch the music video for "Half Life", produced, directed, and filmed by Mallory Kinney, below:

Lineup:

Paul Bremner: Guitars
Anmarie Byrnes: Vocals
Brian Coralian: Drums & Percussion
Greg DiMiceli: Drums & Percussion
John Galgano: Bass & Vocals
Tom Galgano: Keyboards & Vocals
Laura Meade: Vocals

OVTLIER Release "Who We Are" Music Video

Rochester, NY-based band, Ovtlier, have released their official music video for single "Who We Are". The clip can be seen below.

"Who We Are" is about accepting the individuality of ourselves and others. Understanding that trauma, especially stemming back to childhood plays a vital role in the years to come of ones life. We all have things that shape and make us into who and what we are," says singer Joey Arena.

Ovtlier has grown into a roaring rock band of stadium ambitions. Led by the enigmatic frontman Joey Arena, Ovlier has already captured the hearts of more than 60K daily followers online, more than 2.1 million views of fan-curated content on YouTube, over half a million streams Spotify, and has been selling out shows around the Northeast. Their latest release, What Doesn’t Kill You, takes the listener on a roller-coaster jaunt. Drawing influences from Breaking Benjamin, 30 Seconds To Mars, Korn, Periphery and others, Ovtlier brings the rock and metal edge to a new height of intensity.

Inspired by everything 80’s to 90s grunge and nu-metal, Arena began playing guitar at the age of 11 on an old 3-string guitar. After achieving commercial success with his band, Young Bloods, Arena re-centered himself and began traveling 8 hours from Rochester to Cleveland in search of an identity and definition for what would become Ovtlier’s debut EP, What Doesn’t Kill You. Playing sold-out hometown shows, touring the states and rapidly growing their fan-base among all types of music fans. Housing a hybrid sound that cross-pollinates into other sub-genres, giving a formula to freedom in songwriting and forever being able to validate surprise in their releases to come. Ovtlier is set out to deliver their most personal and intense work yet.
