TRAILIGHT Mastermind OMER CORDELL In Support Of OCEAN MACHINE Bassist's Battle Against Multiple Sclerosis - "It Is Time To Give Back Some Of That Inspirational Energy"
Trailight mastermind Omer Cordell has checked in with the following message:
"It is not too often that we are aware that we live in a time when a monumental piece of music has been released, so monumental in fact that it will become an inseparable part of the timeline of Rock / Prog Rock history.
One of those albums that in my opinion will in fact go down in such history is Devin Townsend's Ocean Machine which was written and released in the mid '90s. If you haven't made yourself intimately familiar with it yet, pause your life and do so now. And so, to the people who are familiar with such work (or to those who are now becoming familiar with it) it is time to give back some of that inspirational energy.
John "Squid" Harder, who played bass on Ocean Machine (as well as Punky Brüster) has been struggling with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and is in need of help. His friends and family have started a GoFundMe campaign in his name which you can visit here.

A benefit show for Squiderson has been announced for February 17th in Vancouver, BC at The Fox. Townsend will perform an acoustic set on the night, other acts on the bil include Hot Panda, Catlow, Library, and the sexy sounds of DJ Jason Corbett, More acts may be announced soon. Squiderson has posted the following update on the GoFundMe page.
"I've been dealing with MS for many years and it's progressed to the point of me not being able to work my job. I require special equipment and I hope to go to school to earn a living again but I'm struggling to meet simplest daily needs and I need help. Anything helps and despite my pride I'm asking for a bit 'o help."
