ALAN PARSONS Undergoes 'Urgent Spinal Surgery'Iconic producer, composer, and performer Alan Parsons is "comfortably resting at home" after undergoing "urgent spinal surgery."
Earlier this month, Parsons had a serious spinal issue suddenly flare up, drastically affecting his mobility. His doctors ordered him to cancel his previously announced European tour and undergo a much-needed operation.
On Friday (June 24), Alan's daughter Tabitha Parsons issued the following update on his condition: "Hello, everyone. This is Tabitha Parsons writing on behalf of our entire family. We'd like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love, support, well wishes, and thoughts and prayers expressed for Alan and our family as he faced this urgent spinal surgery. The surgery was a success and Alan is now comfortably resting at home. There will be some lengthy recovery time, but he will be back to his normal and pain-free self soon enough.
"We have some concert dates on the schedule for the fall which will continue as planned and we hope to get any rescheduled dates confirmed and on the schedule shortly.
"Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support."
Until earlier this month, it was clear that Parsons had no intentions of slowing down anytime soon and was looking forward to a long-awaited concert tour of Europe. Following two years of COVID-related cancelations and postponements, during which time he recorded a new studio album and mixed a number of projects, including two of his live concerts and various Surround Sound updates of his classic albums, the 73-year-old Parsons and his band of highly skilled musicians known as THE ALAN PARSONS LIVE PROJECT found themselves on the road all over the U.S. during the first half of the year. This included a stint on the progressive-music-themed Cruise To The Edge in May. Additional performances were scheduled to begin throughout Europe later this June.
Following the worldwide success of two consecutive ALAN PARSONS LIVE PROJECT Blu-ray, DVD, CD and LP releases ("The NeverEnding Show: Live In The Netherlands" in late 2021 and "One Note Symphony: Live In Tel Aviv With The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra" in early 2022),Parsons was now set to release an all-new studio recording called "From The New World". The first single from the album, "Uroboros", was released at the end of May and features Tommy Shaw of STYX as a special guest lead vocalist. A second single from the album titled "I Won't Be Led Astray" will feature noted Alan Parsons alumni David Pack, formerly of AMBROSIA, on vocals, as well as world-renowned blues legend Joe Bonamassa on guitar.
"From The New World" will be released on July 15 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Watch: MARK TREMONTI Sings FRANK SINATRA Classics At Sold-Out Charity ConcertOn May 14, Mark Tremonti — guitarist/singer-songwriter/founding member of the rock bands CREED, ALTER BRIDGE and TREMONTI — performed a set of Frank Sinatra classics with members of Frank's orchestra at The Abbey in Orlando, Florida. Video of the concert is available below.
Last month, Tremonti released a collection of Sinatra covers to support NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society). "Tremonti Sings Sinatra" was made available as part of a new charity initiative created by Tremonti called Take A Chance For Charity. Proceeds from the album will go to support NDSS and the work they do to advocate for and support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Mark and his family were blessed to welcome their first daughter Stella in March 2021 — who was born with Down syndrome — and the idea for the project was born.
"For years, I've loved singing along to Frank's songs," Mark explained. "One night, I found an old video of him performing 'The Song Is You' from 1944. It made me want to dive into his vocal approach. I was all in and I wanted to do something with it. When we found out about our daughter Stella's Down syndrome diagnosis, the stars aligned. My obsession with Sinatra had its reason. Frank Sinatra raised more than a billion dollars for charity and that is a fact I wish the public the public knew more about. Beneath his cool and calm persona, he had a big heart. Doing this charity in his name was another way the stars had aligned. I decided to do this record to raise funds for families and individuals with Down syndrome. This project is the start of a new purpose that I will have for the rest of my life."
Tremonti has come together with surviving members of Frank Sinatra's orchestra, creating new takes on some of the classics and some deeper cuts from Frank's catalog. From the opening horns and piano of "I've Got You Under My Skin" to final vocal outro of "All Or Nothing At All", Tremonti showcases the signature vocal approach and exemplary musicianship that made Sinatra's work timeless. To see his vision through, Mark reached out to Sinatra's musical director Mike Smith who collected as many remaining members as possible of Frank's touring band to record the music for "Tremonti Sings Sinatra". Popular standards like "I've Got The World On A String", "My Way" and "That's Life" find new life in the hands of these incredible musicians. Tremonti — known for his guitar work that has won him countless accolades — leaves the instrument behind and just sings on the 14-track album. The artwork on the album cover is an original painting that Tremonti created especially for this project.
The track listing for "Tremonti Sings Sinatra" is:
01. I've Got You Under My Skin
02. I've Got The World On A String
03. I Fall In Love Too Easily
04. Wave
05. Fly Me To The Moon
06. Nancy (With The Laughing Face)
07. My Way
08. You Make Me Feel So Young
09. Luck Be A Lady
10. That's Life
11. Come Fly With Me
12. In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning
13. The Song Is You
14. All Or Nothing At All
Take A Chance For Charity is a new charity focused on giving artists, actors, athletes and anyone with a platform the ability to get out of their comfort zone. The idea is to have people get out of the genre they are known for to raise funds and awareness for the charity of their choice. An actor can sing, an athlete can dance, a musician can perform a song out of their musical genre - any artistic interpretation. This gives participants the ability to do something out of the ordinary — in fact, extraordinary — all in the name of charity. "Tremonti Sings Sinatra" is the first release for the cause, the recipient being NDSS.
The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) is the leading human rights organization for all individuals with Down syndrome. NDSS envisions a world in which all people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations, and become valued members of welcoming communities. Founded in 1979, NDSS supports and advocates for the Down syndrome community by focusing on three key areas of programming: resources & support, policy and advocacy, and community engagement. Within these focus areas, NDSS engages in various activities, events, and programs on topics that are critical to our community such as federal and state advocacy and public policy, health and wellness, education, and employment. NDSS creates resources to support individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and caregivers across the lifespan and hosts awareness and engagement events throughout the country including the National Buddy Walk Program, the Times Square Video presentation and New York City Buddy Walk, Racing for 3.21 on World Down Syndrome Day, Run for 3.21, DC Golf Outing, the annual NDSS Gala & Auction, and various other events. Visit www.ndss.org for more information about NDSS.
Some quotes about "Tremonti Sings Sinatra":
Hank Cattaneo, Frank Sinatra's "Duets" producer: "Mark did a fantastic job on this record, His voice and take on the tunes are amazing!"
Slash (GUNS N' ROSES): "Mark's take on Sinatra is nothing short of uncanny. I could never have expected one of my fave metal guitarists to do such faithful renditions of Sinatra classics. Not only instrumentally, but vocally! And these recordings are for a cause near and dear to my heart; I was very close to an uncle who had Down syndrome when I was growing up. I fully appreciate and support Mark's commitment to NDSS."
Kirk Hammett (METALLICA): "Holy shit, I knew Mark was a ripping guitar player, but no way did I ever have a notion that he had golden pipes as well!!! Totally blown away. Totally into it. Let's hear more, Mark."
Chris Daughtry: "When Mark first played me a track from this project, my jaw dropped. Gave me chills! This is a side of Mark's voice that people need to hear and I'm certain they will be just as blown away as I was."
John Petrucci (DREAM THEATER): "Wow! I am absolutely blown away by Mark's performance on this album!! He delivers the songs authentically, embodying all that is Frank but giving us a glimpse of his own personality as well. I love the arrangements and the fact that some of Frank's original band members contributed to these tracks. Honestly, I've known Mark for a long time and know he is super talented but had no idea he was capable of channeling Old' Blue Eyes like that! Just absolutely beautifully done and what makes everything even that much more touching is the cause. I bet Mark's daughter Stella was in his heart during every step of the recording processes. Incredible!"
Tyler Connolly: "Okay this is so frickin' good! I had a smile on my face when I heard marks voice come in on 'I've Got You Under My Skin'. The production is fantastic, and I love that he has gifted the album to the NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society) Not surprised that he's killed it on this one. Congrats, Mark. This is amazing!"
Brent Smith (SHINEDOWN): "Once again, Mark Tremonti never ceases to amaze me. These renditions of some of the most beloved Sinatra tunes, are so eloquently done that it is remarkable. And what a beautiful gift to the NDSS. Much love, respect, and success to this incredible project."
James LaBrie (DREAM THEATER): "I met Mark around 10 years ago. First thing that struck me was his easy going, down-to-earth, respectful nature. That, to me, is a priority and a true measure of one's makeup. Mark's talent precedes him, I've listened to him since the '90s 'til present day. It wasn't until I listened to Mark's solo albums that I was able to fully realize his vocal abilities. What a great voice!!! A beautiful and unique sound, alongside perfect delivery, dynamics and feel.
"When asked for my take on Mark's Sinatra project, I really didn't know what to expect. I went into this from the perspective of what I've heard. I was asked to listen to two tracks. I listened to the whole damn thing!!! I was completely blown away. He sounds just like Frank, with just enough of his own vocal characteristics to infuse just the right amount of himself while honoring Frank's musicality. Mark did absolute justice to the number one iconic, legendary crooner of all time. A stellar job, nailing the inflections, nuances and all the subtleties in Frank's delivery that made him unparalleled. Bravo, Mark. An admirable endeavor and cause for NDSS. All the best, Mark, Vicky and lovely Stella."

IRON SAVIOR Reveal Details For Reforged - Ironbound (Vol. 2); Track Video Posted For Re-Recorded Version Of "Solar Wings"German power metal masters, Iron Savior, have been active for a quarter of a century now. Consistency and high quality delivery have earned the band around Piet Sielck a large and loyal fanbase.
In 2017, the band started a special project: Their first five studio albums were no longer available at that time (but the band could not simply re-release them for legal reasons), so they decided to re-record some highlight tracks of the Noise Records years. The result, Reforged - Riding On Fire, was received positively throughout and made the fans ask for more.
The history of Iron Savior is full of highlights, and there are many more gems that were not selected for a re-recording at that time due to capacity reasons. Thus it quickly became clear: Reforged goes into the second round, and Reforged - Ironbound (Vol. 2) will be coming out on August 26 via AFM Records.
Today, Iron Savior has shared a track video for the re-recorded version of "Solar Wings", which can be found below.
"This time we picked 23 songs, which is significantly more than the first Reforged part had", says bandleader Piet Sielck. "The very positive response to Reforged - Riding On Fire made us consider a second part. Through direct fan feedback, we then also became aware of how many songs were still slumbering there, which deserved to be suggested for a remake."
The 23 tracks of the new double album Reforged - Ironbound (Vol. 2) represent a real bastion, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
"I am very satisfied with the result," Sielck states. "It's always up to the fans out there to evaluate something like this, but in my opinion our second part of Reforged surpasses its predecessor. It was great fun to approach the songs again."
Piet adds with a smile: "I'm especially happy that both Jan and Piesel as well as Kai (Hansen) were able to play or sing their original parts. And with the guest solo by my godson Tim Hansen, the whole thing has somehow become a cross-generational family album."
Reforged - Ironbound (Vol. 2) was again produced by Piet Sielck himself in his Powerhouse Studio, the pre-sale has just started, here.
Tracklisting:
"Children Of The Wasteland"
"Protect The Law"

SEBASTIAN BACH Performs DAMN YANKEES' 'High Enough' With NIGHT RANGER In Toledo (Video)Sebastian Bach joined NIGHT RANGER on stage last night (Friday, June 24) at the Promenade Park in Toledo, Ohio to perform the DAMN YANKEES song "High Enough". Fan-filmed video of Bach's appearance can be seen below.
Earlier today, Bach shared a backstage photo from last night's concert and he included the following message: "I have always been a fan of the band @nightranger . I remember buying Speak of the Devil by Ozzy Osbourne when it first came out and being knocked out by @bradgillisofficial insane guitar playing. From my band KID WIKKID doing 'don't tell me you love me' live in the bars in Toronto all the way up to High Enough by DAMN YANKEES and their new music too. ('Breakout' kicked ass last night) this is a great band of consummate professionals and such excellent people. I love the song Night Ranger.
"We had such an incredible time last night in Toledo Ohio and for @jackblades to ask me on stage to sing 'High Enough' with them is a memory I will never forget.
"Thank you Toledo and NIGHT RANGER & @promedica_live for an incredible summer time night of rock and roll. If only every day on Earth could be like that".
DAMN YANKEES was the supergroup formed more than three decades ago by NIGHT RANGER frontman Jack Blades, STYX's Tommy Shaw, Ted Nugent and Michael Cartellone.
DAMN YANKEES launched in 1989 and released two albums, an eponymous debut and the 1992 follow-up "Don't Tread". Hit singles included "Come Again", "Coming Of Age" and the aforementioned "High Enough".
Last fall, Bach completed a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of SKID ROW's double-platinum, acclaimed album "Slave To The Grind". The trek kicked off on September 25 in Waterloo, New York and wrapped in San Diego, California on December 17.
Bach fronted SKID ROW until 1996, when he was fired.
Back in 2018, Bach told Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM radio station that he was going to ink a deal with a U.S.-based heavy metal record label that would help him make a "career-defining" new solo album.
Bach hasn't released a full-length disc since "Give 'Em Hell", which came out in 2014. Like its predecessor, 2011's "Kicking & Screaming", the disc was released through Frontiers Music Srl, the Italian label which specializes in what's commonly called AOR, a term that once signified a popular radio format ("album-oriented rock") but nowadays applies to acts whose airplay is marginal.

TOMMY LEE's Wife Finally Reveals The Mystery Behind His Four Broken RibsTommy Lee's wife has revealed how he broke four ribs prior to the launch of MÖTLEY CRÜE's "The Stadium Tour".
The 59-year-old drummer hasn't been able to play full sets on CRÜE's current North American stadium tour with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS after sustaining his injuries about two weeks before the trek's June 16 kick-off in Atlanta, Georgia.
In a recent Snapchat video, Brittany Furlan, who has been married to Tommy for more than three years, finally opened up about the circumstances that led to his diminished participation in CRÜE's recent live performances. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Everyone keeps asking how Tommy broke his ribs, so I'm just gonna tell you. We were staying at an old rental house in Nashville. It was a cool, old quirky house. But the stairs outside were made out of stones, and they were really uneven, and the roots were pushing them up from the tree. And everything was fine. I actually fell up the stairs a few times getting groceries, but whatever."
She continued: "So, the day that we were leaving Nashville, our driver came and we had all this luggage and he wasn't helping us; he just stayed in the car. And so Tommy was trying to carry all of our luggage for us. And he fell down these crazy stairs and broke — broke — four ribs. Not fractured, not bruised — broke. And it was crazy, 'cause I came out and he couldn't breathe. It was really scary. He was on the ground [and] he was gasping for air. And he got on a plane that day still and went and did the rest of rehearsals [for the tour] in Pennsylvania. He went to the hospital in Pennsylvania when we landed and they were, like, 'You have four broken ribs.' And they wanted to keep him there, but they he did not wanna stay. And he's just a fighter. He's the toughest guy I know. I mean, look at all his tattoos; he just really fights through the pain.'
The 35-year-old actress and Internet personality added: "Anyway, that's what happened."
Last Wednesday (June 22),at CRÜE's show at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., Lee made light of his injuries by dropping some meaty ribs into the audience.
Tommy joked with the crowd: "For the people that know, here's a little fucking joke on the whole situation.
"For those of you that don't know, I brought a couple of unbroken ribs for y'all to throw down on.
"Let's fucking party, goddammit. Ribs? How about some fucking ribs?"
At most of the first few shows on "The Stadium Tour", Tommy has been playing the first three songs of CRÜE's set before being replaced by Tommy Clufetos for the rest of the concert. However, perhaps as an indication that he is recovering from his injuries, during CRÜE's June 25 performance at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lee returned at several points later in the night to play five more tracks, including "The Dirt (Est. 1981)", "Dr. Feelgood" and "Home Sweet Home".
On June 17, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx praised Tommy for "beasting" through the first five songs of the band's kick-off concert in Atlanta, writing on Twitter: "The fact that Tommy was told by the doctor to not play with 4 broken ribs & he beasted half our show is a miracle. We are a band and are proud of his strength. He is doing the whole tour and day by day adding more songs. What a fucking animal. Anybody out there ever break ur ribs?"
When he initially announced at the Atlanta show that he had broken his ribs, Lee told the audience: "I wish I had a fuckin' badass story, like me and Conor McGregor fuckin' scrapping out in some fuckin' bar or something, but I don't." Three days later, at CRÜE's concert in Orlando, Lee said: "About fuckin' two weeks ago, I broke not one, not two, not three but four fuckin' ribs right here. Crack. I'm not gonna tell you how because it's fuckin' bullshit. I wish I had a cool story for you, but I definitely don't, man; it ain't fuckin' cool."
CRÜE's long-delayed North American trek with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS was originally planned for 2020 and later moved to 2021 and then to 2022. "The Stadium Tour" will conclude on September 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"The Stadium Tour" marks the CRÜE's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour. CRÜE toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017, but this jaunt marks the first time all four acts have hit the road together for an extended tour.
CRÜE fans who shelled out for the band's 2014/2015 "farewell" tour were led to believe that the group would never return after playing its final show on December 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band touted the signing of a pre-tour "cessation of touring" agreement as cementing the fact it truly was the end of CRÜE's life on the road. 4

BRET MICHAELS Says He Also 'Had No Idea' About TOMMY LEE's Broken Ribs Prior To Start Of 'The Stadium Tour'POISON's Bret Michaels has confirmed that he also had no idea prior to the start of "The Stadium Tour" that MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee would only sit behind the drums for the first few songs of his band's set.
At the first six shows of "The Stadium Tour", Lee defied doctor's orders — despite sustaining four broken ribs — to take part in the CRÜE's long-awaited return to the stage with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS.
At each of the gigs, Lee was present for the beginning of the CRÜE's set before telling the crowd that he had broken four ribs, and his doctor told him he couldn't perform. Lee was replaced for the remainder of the set by Tommy Clufetos, who plays drums in Ozzy Osbourne's live band and who sat behind the kit for BLACK SABBATH on the legendary heavy metal act's final tour. Lee briefly returned later in the night to play piano on "Home Sweet Home".
Michaels, whose band is providing support for CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD, discussed Tommy's diminished participation in "The Stadium Tour" during an interview with Rob Rush Radio. Asked if he was made aware prior to the launch of "The Stadium Tour" that Tommy would unable to play a full set with the CRÜE, Bret said: "Honestly, until that night when he stepped off the stage on the opening night, I, honest to God, didn't know. I had no idea. I wish I could give you more info, but the truth of the matter is it sort of hit me in Atlanta. But you know what? They rocked.
"I'm a big fan of LEPPARD and MÖTLEY and Joan. And CLASSLESS ACT, another great, brand new band out there with us.
"But again, I go back to this… I said this with [CRÜE bassist] Nikki Sixx; we were doing interviews together. And I said, if I wasn't on this bill, I would be at the show. It would just be a good night of music for me."
Less than a week ago, POISON's Rikki Rockett also said that he had no clue about Lee's broken ribs before the Atlanta concert on June 16. "I didn't know anything about it," he told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk". "I swear I didn't. I went out and he wasn't playing. And I'm, like, 'What the heck is going on, guys?' So I went back and got the lowdown."
Rikki went on to say that Lee is being unfairly criticized by some fans for only playing a few songs with MÖTLEY CRÜE. "He's taking a lot of heat, and I don't think he should," he said. "Because I think what's cool about what he's doing is he's coming out there and he's going, 'This is painful to do it, but I want the audience to know that I'm here. I'm here for the duration. I'm not wussing out on this.' Instead of running home and sitting six weeks out while he recovers, he's [out on the road and] he's part of the team. I think that's badass."
On June 17, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx praised Tommy for "beasting" through the first five songs of the band's set a day earlier in Atlanta, writing on Twitter: "The fact that Tommy was told by the doctor to not play with 4 broken ribs & he beasted half our show is a miracle. We are a band and are proud of his strength. He is doing the whole tour and day by day adding more songs. What a fucking animal. Anybody out there ever break ur ribs?"
The next show on the trek is scheduled to take place Tuesday night (June 28) at Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Clufetos is Sixx's bandmate in a project called L.A. RATS. The quartet, which also features Rob Zombie and John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON),came together last year expressly to record a cover of "I've Been Everywhere" for the soundtrack to the movie "The Ice Road".
EXODUS Singer On LEE ALTUS's Absence From European Tour: 'You Can't Always' Put The Band FirstEarlier this week, it was announced that EXODUS guitarist Lee Altus will be unable to join his bandmates on their European tour this summer due to "family concerns." Filling in for him will be Brandon Ellis of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER.
EXODUS singer Steve "Zetro" Souza touched upon Altus's absence from the trek in a video update on his Zetro's Toxic Vault YouTube channel. He said: "Our guitar player Lee Altus won't be making this leg of the tour. It's gonna be Brandon from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. He's going to be filling in on guitar. For Lee, there's some family issues that Lee needs to take care of for himself, so he's going to be staying back [home]. He isn't going anywhere. Sometimes these things happen. Family things happen. You can't always put [the band] first."
Souza went on to say that he and his EXODUS bandmates are "looking forward to playing with Brandon."
"We knew that [Brandon] would nail it, and it's kind of been something that has been in the works for a little while so he's actually had time to learn the music and really get into it," the vocalist explained. "So it's gonna be really good.
"We're not gonna cancel. We're gonna keep going. It's gonna be EXODUS.
"For everybody in Europe, you are going to get an awesome EXODUS show," Souza added. "That's all I can say. It's gonna be heavy."
When Altus's absence was first announced on June 22, EXODUS released a statement via social media in which the band said: "EXODUS regretfully announce that Lee Altus will not be joining us on our upcoming European tour. Family concerns dictate he remain close to home and being so far away from home is not possible. EXODUS stand strong with Lee and will destroy in his behalf, and he will rejoin us for the upcoming tours such as the fall leg of 'The Bay Strikes Back'. We stand behind our brother in everything and he will be back! Joining us on this trek is none other than Brandon Ellis of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER so let’s welcome him like one of the EXODUS family! Brandon is one of the sickest guitarists alive and he is going to kill it for certain! See you soon in Europe and the UK!"
Brandon added: "I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to get on stage with the legendary dudes of EXODUS and crush some open air fests and clubs this July and August. I wish Lee the best and will cover his stage right post with honor and respect!"
EXODUS is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Persona Non Grata", which came out last November via Nuclear Blast Records.
"Persona Non Grata" was recorded at a studio in Lake Almanor, California and was engineered by Steve Lagudi and EXODUS. It was produced by EXODUS and was mixed by Andy Sneap. For the third time in the band's history, they returned to Swedish artist Pär Olofsson to create the album artwork.
"Persona Non Grata" is the follow-up to 2014's "Blood In Blood Out", which was the San Francisco Bay Area thrashers' first release since the departure of the group's lead singer of nine years, Rob Dukes, and the return of Steve "Zetro" Souza, who previously fronted EXODUS from 1986 to 1993 and from 2002 to 2004.
Last July, EXODUS drummer Tom Hunting underwent a successful total gastrectomy in his battle with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the stomach. He rejoined his bandmates on stage in October at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California.
EXODUS tapped John Tempesta to play drums for the band at Psycho Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada in August and at Full Terror Assault in Cave In Rock, Illinois in September while Hunting was recovering from surgery. Tempesta was a member of EXODUS from 1989 until 1993 and played on the band's albums "Impact Is Imminent" (1990) and "Force Of Habit" (1992).
A GoFundMe campaign to help Hunting with medical expenses had previously raised more than $114,000 — including $5,000 from Tom's former EXODUS bandmate, current METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett, and $1,500 from FOZZY singer and wrestling superstar Chris Jericho. 1

Watch: STEEL PANTHER's MICHAEL STARR Sings 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' With THE DARKNESS At France's HELLFESTSTEEL PANTHER's Michael Starr joined THE DARKNESS on stage on June 18 at Hellfest in Clisson, France to sing the song "I Believe In A Thing Called Love". Fan-filmed video of his appearance can be seen below.
Less than a week earlier, THE DARKNESS singer Justin Hawkins joined STEEL PANTHER on stage at the Download festival in the United Kingdom to perform the track "Party All Day (Fuck All Night)". Hawkins was the featured guest on the studio version of the song, which originally appeared on STEEL PANTHER's 2009 album "Feel The Steel".
Formed in 2000, STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme.
The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."
Fourteen years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.
Back in 2014, Starr (nee Ralph Saenz) told The Morning Sun that STEEL PANTHER's music has grown from laughs to lauds as its music has been accepted by audiences.
"Playing covers for so many years [originally] branded us a cover band. It was hard to change that," he acknowledged. "Now there is no mistaking; we will be the biggest real metal band in the world by 2025 – unless we die first."
STEEL PANTHER is currently mastering its new studio album for a tentative late 2022 release. The band, which has not yet secured a permanent replacement for its original bassist Lexxi Foxx, has been working on the follow-up to 2019's "Heavy Metal Rules" for the last few months and recently completed mixing the LP.

ADEMA Shares Music Video For 'Dark, Melodic And Heavy' New Single 'Violent Principles'ADEMA has released a new song, "Violent Principles". The second major single featuring ADEMA's latest singer Ryan Shuck, who joined the group in 2019, was produced by Amir Derakh and is being made available via Shuck's label Frame|Work. It is the follow-up to ADEMA's first single in nearly a decade, "Ready To Die", which came out last August. Both tracks are taken from ADEMA's upcoming album, "360 Degrees Of Separation".
With ADEMA's first new single being a heavy-hitting screamer, "Violent Principles" shows the "other side" of ADEMA's signature sound: dark, melodic and heavy.
Shuck says: "'360 Degrees Of Separation' is going to have plenty of heavy songs with all the ripping screams and vocals that we know many of our fans want — but it will also have heavy melodic tracks in the vein of ADEMA's hit songs like 'Giving In'. 'Violent Principles' is one of those."
The video for "Violent Principles" was produced by Frame|Work and directed and edited by Oscar Gutiérrez of The Anix.
Last September, Shuck spoke to Michael Nagy of Discoveringbands.com about ADEMA's new material. "'Ready To Die' took the better part of two years to kind of develop," he said. "It's not like we sat down and took two years to write the song, but when I joined the band, we kind of needed to figure out whether or not a) I would work in the band, and it turned out to work; on the first tour, it worked really, really well. And then b) would be what do we sound like and where do we go with me as the singer? So we spent a lot of time just talking, being friends, kind of discussing what makes ADEMA, ADEMA. What is it that is so cool? And me coming in as a fan and a friend, and then now part of the band, I can use that detachment to essentially reinforce to these guys what I think it is. So we kind of spent some time writing. We wrote a bunch of songs — we have probably seven or eight tracks that we [could] play right now, but we wanna be careful with what we let out and when. And we just kind of developed for a while and really focused on where we came from — nu metal, Bakersfield, KORN, all the people that we came up with, the movement that we were part of starting. And as we kind of started working through all that, 'Ready To Die' and a couple of other tracks started rising to the top as the most pure ADEMA sound, and I was able to be me on top of it, and it just worked. And from what we can see so far, the fans agree."
Asked if the other songs on "360 Degrees Of Separation" will be musically as heavy as "Ready To Die", Ryan said: "It's a great question because I think we have a lot of fans who probably doubted whether or not we would be good and what it would sound like. And now they're all kind of going, 'Oh, fuck. It works. This is awesome.' I think about half the music is gonna be that heavy, and I think there's another half of the music that's gonna be really melodic. ADEMA's biggest songs were 'Giving In', 'The Way You Like It', 'Immortal'. All those are really melodic songs — they're not screaming shit. We have both, but whether or not we're gonna come right out with that stuff remains to be seen. We kind of had the feeling that we wanted to throw some red meat out first and just go, like, 'Hey, look. We know who we are. We know who you are. We hear you. We get it. And we can prove ourselves to you.' And then I think we'll start rolling [out] some of the more melodic stuff. A couple of them are recorded and in the can. So we could release it right now. It's very hard for us, 'cause we wanna put it out. But you've gotta put it out in the right order."
As for when "360 Degrees Of Separation" might see the light of day, Ryan said: "We're not shooting to release an album all at once. We're gonna release singles, and then we'll release an album with additional tracks on it. So it'll essentially be us releasing, hopefully every six to eight weeks, a new song and building the brand back up and getting people excited for new stuff happening more, instead of just firing an entire album out with one single and the rest of 'em are just kind of throwaways. We really wanna make every track amazing, and then we'll wrap it up with the rest of the tracks on all the DSPs and physical album — vinyl, all that kind of stuff, all the special products that go with that."
When "Ready To Die" was made available last August, it was described in a press release as "a song about passionately and forcefully breaking free of a toxic relationship or situation. Much like the band's last 10 years in the proverbial desert, the song embodies perseverance and the idea that we have to be willing to lose everything to do what we love and be true to ourselves."
"I was at a point where I was absolutely ready to die," Ryan previously said. "My system for living was not working anymore. I was crushed by the grief of losing one of my closest friends [Chester Bennington] to the same demons. I had been suicidal and severely depressed for years, and had no way out. I was in a living hell. The song is in some ways me dealing with myself in the mirror, but I very much think the concept also applies to anyone that is finally ready to break free from their demons, toxic relationships, or situations. There comes a point where you will go to any length to get better."
ADEMA will embark on a major summer tour with (HED) P.E., CRAZY TOWN and FLAW.
Shuck, a lifelong friend of the band and Bakersfield original, replaced original singer Marky Chavez, who has dropped in and out of the band for years.
Chavez originally left ADEMA in 2004 due to "creative differences" after two successful albums, "Adema" and "Unstable". The singer — who is the half brother of KORN frontman Jonathan Davis — quit ADEMA again in January 2011 in order to pursue his "solo project." He rejoined the group again six years later and played his first comeback show with ADEMA in May 2017 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California.
After Chavez's original exit from ADEMA, the other members of the band found their way with new lead singers Luke Caraccioli and later Bobby Reeves, while Mark founded MIDNIGHT PANIC with his cousin Peter Shubert. He also produced fellow artists.
ADEMA's last full-length release was 2013's "Topple The Giants". The group's first CD since 2007's "Kill The Headlights" contained brand new tracks plus re-worked versions of ADEMA's chart-topping hits "Giving In" and "Unstable".
ADEMA is:
Ryan Shuck - Vocals
Tim Fluckey - Guitar
Mike Ransom- Guitar
Dave DeRoo - Bass
Kris Kohls - Drums

MILLE PETROZZA: KREATOR Has No Plans To Celebrate 40th Anniversary Of 'Endless Pain' DebutDuring his press conference earlier today (Friday, June 24) at Hellfest in Clisson, France, Mille Petrozza of German thrash metal veterans KREATOR was asked if there are any plans for him and his bandmates to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album, "Endless Pain", in 2025. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I don't think we're one of those bands that really celebrates anniversaries so much. I'm totally aware of the fact that it's gonna be four decades very soon, but we haven't planned anything. But maybe we'll do something — I don't know; I don't know, really. Something might happen, but at this point we're busy playing, getting back into the groove. Because like all the bands, we haven't experienced live music for so long, but in '25, if things go well, we'll be back on track. So maybe there will be something. But nothing has been planned yet."
KREATOR's fifteenth studio album, "Hate Über Alles", was released on June 10. The follow-up to 2017's "Gods Of Violence" was recorded at Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin, Germany. Helming the sessions was Arthur Rizk, who has previously worked with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, CODE ORANGE, POWER TRIP and SOULFLY, among others.
The "Hate Über Alles" cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with HATEBREED, SOULFLY, TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH and SODOM, among others.
"Hate Über Alles" marks KREATOR's first album with bassist Frédéric Leclercq, who joined the group in 2019.
In March 2020, KREATOR surprise-released a new single, "666 - World Divided". The song was produced by Andy Sneap and Markus Ganter and was recorded at Hansa Tonstudios.
The music video for "666 - World Divided" was created under the direction of Jörn Heitmann, who was responsible for the music videos for "Radio" and "Ausländer" by RAMMSTEIN.
KREATOR played its first show with Leclercq in October 2019 in Santiago, Chile.
Before joining KREATOR, Leclercq rose to fame with U.K.-based extreme power metallers DRAGONFORCE for whom he handled bass duties from 2005 until August 2019.
KREATOR's previously announced "State Of Unrest" European tour with LAMB OF GOD has been rescheduled for November/December 2022 in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Ex-KORN Drummer DAVID SILVERIA Exits BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE 'To Spend More Time With His Family'Former KORN drummer David Silveria has announced his departure from the Huntington Beach, California-based alternative hard rock/metal band BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE.
On Friday (June 24),the remaining members of BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE — bassist Chris Dorame, guitarists Joe Taback and Mike Martin and singer Rich Nguyen — released the following statement via social media: "David has made the tough decision to step down from the band to spend more time with his family. Words cannot describe what an honor it has been to play, write and share the stage with such an icon. Together, we created something to be proud of and in turn, rekindled the joy of playing just to play, in all of us. We wish our brother all the best in his future endeavors.
"Drum tracks for the next EP have been completed and David has given us his blessing to move forward without him. In the interim, we will continue production on EP3 and work to ramp up David's replacement.
"Thank you to everyone who has listened and supported us over the years.
"Let's give it up for Mr. David Silveria!"
BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE's latest EP, "Defy The Algorithm", was made available in April via all major platforms.
BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE formed after a worldwide vocalist search led them to recruit Nguyen.
BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE's debut singles "Pity" and "Change Your Mind", released on January 4, 2019, were met with tremendous fanfare. "Pity", the edgier track of the two, helped grow the band's following exponentially in both the U.S. and abroad. "Change Your Mind", showcased the band's softer, melodic side. The two singles were released as a Side A/B as a throwback to the '80s and '90s single releases.
BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE released its debut EP, "Acronym", in January of 2021.
Silveria previously told OC Weekly about BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE's musical approach: "We definitely have our own unique sound, but at times there are hints of the early sound of KORN. I feel this band is a new fresh sound on the rock scene that is lacking right now. We have a new sound for sure, but we aren't reinventing the wheel." 2

Watch: GREEN DAY's BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG Says He's 'Renouncing' U.S. Citizenship After Roe v. Wade RepealGREEN DAY's Billie Joe Armstrong says that he is "renouncing" his American citizenship following the Supreme Court's decision to repeal Roe v. Wade.
During the band's concert on Friday (June 24) in London, United Kingdom, Armstrong told the audience: "Fuck America. I'm fucking renouncing my citizenship. I'm fucking coming here. There's just too much fucking stupid in the world to go back to that miserable fucking excuse for a country."
He added: "Oh, I'm not kidding. You’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days."
Armstrong continued to lash out at the the five Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade at GREEN DAY's Saturday night gig in Huddersfield, England, saying "fuck the Supreme Court of America" prior to performing "American Idiot". He also called the Justices responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade "pricks," according to the Daily Mail.
The 50-year-old musician and his bandmates — Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool — have repeatedly used their musical platform to protest politicians and alleged injustices.
Earlier in the month, GREEN DAY debuted a new banner displayed in the background of its live shows which simply reads: "Fuck Ted Cruz".
Two of GREEN DAY's most commercially successful albums, 2004's "American Idiot" and 2009's "21st Century Breakdown" were largely directed at the policies of then-U.S. president George W. Bush.
In 2019, Armstrong updated the lyrics of the "American Idiot" to blast then-president Donald Trump, switching up the line "I'm not a part of the redneck agenda" with "I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda."
In a 2019 interview with Kerrang!, Armstrong said there were definitely political themes on GREEN DAY's 13th album, "Father Of All Motherfuckers", which was released in February 2020, but that he and his bandmates were avoiding direct Trump songs. "I mean, I draw no inspiration from the President Of The United States, because he's just… there's nothing," he said. "Trump gives me diarrhea, you know? I don't want to write a song about it."

KORN Bassist FIELDY 'Wasn't Quite Ready' To Go Back On Tour, Says MUNKYDuring a June 19 press conference at this year's Hellfest in Clisson, France, KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer was asked about the current status of the band's bassist, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu. Fieldy announced in June 2021 that he would sit out KORN's ongoing tour in order to "heal" after "falling back" on some of his "bad habits."
Munky said about Fieldy: "He needed a little time at home with his family to kind of regroup. We decided we were gonna make a record during the pandemic and use that time constructively. And once the pandemic was over and we were ready to go back on the road, he wasn't quite ready to do that yet. So the rest of us were anxious to get back in front of our fans and play for everybody."
Earlier in the month, KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch told Kerrang! Radio that he had "been in contact" with Fieldy. "I just e-mailed him the other day," he said. "So we're gonna get together and talk to him, see how he's doing, see where his head is at, after this tour. Me and Munk were just talking about it. We love him, we've been in communication with him, and we'll see."
KORN drummer Ray Luzier told Germany's MoreCore that Fieldy is "doing good. He's our brother. We love him. We support him 110 percent," he said. "Bands are like marriages. Sometimes you need to step away a little bit to look at the picture and see what's going on with your individual life, and I think that's where we're all at now with Reggie. He's such a great dude and he's one of my best buds, so we support him in everything he does. No one has a crystal ball — I don't know what's gonna happen in the future — but we definitely miss him out here."
According to Luzier, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES bassist Roberto "Ra" Díaz, who is filling in for Fieldy, is "doing a great job. He's doing a hell of a job. But there's a sound about Fieldy that isKORN," he said. "There's that signature thing that not many bass players can say that. Just that sound — you pop a KORN album on, and you're, like, 'Woah.' That bass, you take that out and it wouldn't sound normal, because Munky and Head [Brian Welch] don't sound normal, and neither does Jon [singer Jonathan Davis]. But that bass, man, it's just leading a lot of those older records."
This past February, Welch told Spotlight Report that Fieldy was "just taking a little time to be with his family. He is a great dad," Welch said. "He has so many kids. He has adult kids, teenagers and young kids. He is just taking time, and we are giving him the time. We want everyone to be healthy and happy.
"I guess we will go and tour this record," Head continued, referencing KORN's recently released album "Requiem". "I don't know a lot more other than that. We love him very much and we hope to communicate with him during the year at some stage, to see where everyone is at."
Welch previously addressed Fieldy's position in KORN during a November 2021 interview with U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine. At the time, he stated: "The best thing to do is stay at home, be with your family, and start processing. He's got to find that healing. I still struggle with it. I had a few slip-ups with my 'bad habits' three to four years ago, so I understand it, but I dealt with it by hitting it head-on and stopping it from becoming a problem. I'm not concerned because I know he's going to be okay."
Davis expressed a more worried outlook on Fieldy's predicament, saying: "I love him; he's my brother. But I watched somebody I care about die and I'm not going to fucking do that again. I refuse to. I will feel guilt for the rest of my fucking life because of that. I tried my hardest but perhaps if I'd been a little bit tougher there'd have been a different outcome. I pray that he can figure it out and get better and come back and be a huge part of this band again."
Despite the fact that he is not joining his KORN bandmates on their current tour, Fieldy did play on "Requiem".
Earlier in November, Shaffer told "Loudwire Nights" host Toni Gonzalez about Fieldy: "Right now he's just taking some time to kinda figure out what makes him happy and figure out his happiness and what he wants to do with his life, I guess is the best way to put it. And make sure his mental health is at its best, because if your mental health isn't good, or you're not clear, you're gonna make bad choices.
"I make an example," he continued. "I had my own challenges through the years, and once you get clarity, your life becomes a lot easier to manage. We're just giving him time to, like, no pressure, just figure out what you want to do because we can still work and we can still go out and tour. But we miss him. We love the guy, and we want him to just be healthy."
Regarding how KORN ended up recruiting Díaz to fill in for Fieldy, Welch told 97.9 GRD: "Well, there's COVID and everything, so when we started talking about it, it was a thing where we wanted to be careful still and whatnot. So we just started brainstorming and hitting up friends and whatnot. We need the slap — we need the slap bass, we need the finger playing, we need someone, 'cause Fieldy is unique — very unique. So it just kind of happened that way, man, where Ra, he was open because SUICIDAL [was] not going out [on tour] until [the following] year. So it just worked out, man. He came down, we jammed. He's a really humble guy, and just very talented. He can play anything — from jazz to slap to anything. He played all the songs with, like, three mistakes out of 10 songs or something — little mistakes. I mean, not even mistakes — it was just, like, 'I thought I heard it that way.' They weren't even mistakes. So we were, like, 'Okay. You got it down.'"
A year ago, Fieldy broke the news of his absence from KORN's summer trek, writing in a social media update: "To all KORN fans worldwide. The past 6 years I've been dealing with some personal issues that at times have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me. It's been suggested to me to take some time off to heal. I'm going to respect what was asked of me and take that time. Unfortunately you will not see me on stage with my band. I will be working towards getting the bad habits out of my system. In the meantime I will be staying creative to keep my mind & soul in a good place.
"I'm thankful for all of your support, patience & understanding as we all have something that we deal with.
"Jonathan, Munky, Ray and Head, I love you and I don't want to bring any tension or bad vibes to the circle."
A short time later, KORN's official social media shared Fieldy's statement, along with the following message: "We love and support our brother, Fieldy. Health and family always comes first."
Back in 2017, METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo's then-12-year-old son Tye Trujillo filled in on bass for KORN's South American tour after Fieldy was unable to make the shows due to "unforeseen circumstances."
Fieldy's 2009 memoir, "Got The Life: My Journey Of Addiction, Faith, Recovery And Korn", detailed his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction during KORN's early years and how he became a born-again Christian to help get his life together and get sober.
Fieldy's STILLWELL side project released its third album, "Supernatural Miracle", in September 2020.
"Requiem" was released on February 4 via Loma Vista Recordings. 2
