DEVIL MASTER Streaming New Single "Shrines In Cinder"Devil Master's new record, Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night, is an alluring mix of black metal, death rock and Japanese-style hardcore. For Ecstasies, Devil Master welcomed new drummer/keyboardist Festering Terror in Deepest Catacomb (a.k.a. Chris Ulsh of Power Trip and Iron Age). They joined forces with producer Pete DeBoer (Blood Incantation, Spectral Voice) who recorded the album live to analog tape. The collection proves a definitive arrival for the Philadelphia band whilst witnessing them at their core – their roots in ritual magick have never been more prominent. Ecstasies expands on the warped riffing and dark atmospheres that have already propelled Devil Master as one of the underground’s most unique and unfettered bands.
Just ahead of Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night’s release next Friday on Relapse, the band gives us one more pummeling single, “Shrines In Cinder”.
The path from Devil Master’s lauded 2019 debut, Satan Spits On Children Of Light, to Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night was long and winding. Beyond the many challenges presented by the pandemic, the band experienced a mutual parting of ways with half of their previous lineup. In the aftermath, vocalist Disembody Through Unparalleled Pleasure also assumed the role of bassist, strengthening the core songwriting trio alongside Darkest Prince and rhythm guitarist Infernal Moonlight Apparition. Fresh blood was required and found in drummer/keyboardist Festering Terror in Deepest Catacomb (a.k.a. Chris Ulsh of Power Trip and Iron Age).
As Darkest Prince points out, Ecstasies is a step above and beyond its predecessor. “This album is more mature and self-confident,” he says. “It’s moving past childish Satanism towards a more mature dark spirituality. This one is not relying on stereotypical tropes. It’s a real magickal experience.”
In many ways, Ecstasies is meant to mirror Satan Spits On Children Of Light. “This and the last album are mirrored opposites, right down to the titles,” Darkest Prince points out. “There’s even an instrumental in the middle of the album, like last time. I believe in balance, so there’s a spiritual aspect to it. And it just feels good.”
From the band’s monumental “Acid Black Mass” to the spiraling death rock of “Abyss In Vision” and the layers of refined atmosphere on the closer “Never Ending Night”, Darkest Prince shines across a collection of fiery, tumultuous riffs - Lyrically, vocalist Disembody Through Unparalleled Pleasure laces Ecstasies with life-affirming blasphemy and existential dread.
Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night proves to be a crucial addition to the pantheon of evil satanic metal. In the end, magick reigns!
Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night is out April 29 via Relapse Records. Pre-order here.

AARON LEWIS Tells His Fans Not To Believe The 'Propaganda Machine', Insists He Is Speaking 'The Truth'STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis has once again attacked the national news media, telling his fans at a recent concert that they should "stop listening to the bought-and-paid-for propaganda machine."
The 50-year-old Lewis, an outspoken conservative rocker who reinvented himself as a solo country artist in the last decade, voiced his views on what he is seeing and hearing from the national news media before performing his controversial single called "Am I The Only One" during his recent concert at Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center in Schenectady, New York.
He told the crowd (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I can sit here and tell you that the Democrats are responsible for everything. It's bigger than that. This is the people that are above the people that we vote into office."
When one fan yelled out that Aaron is "right," Lewis responded: "I know I'm fucking right. That's why I sit up here every night and put my ass on the line for the truth. Because, people, the truth is fucking important. And when the same group of people monopolize everything, the truth doesn't exist. It's propaganda, it's lies to perpetuate a narrative.
"Hunter Biden's laptop is real," Aaron continued, referencing U.S. president Joe Biden's son who has been the center of a number of conspiracy theories in conservative media. "The fact that we have American money in tax-dollar-funded biolabs in the Ukraine is real. It's fucking real, people," he repeated, apparently referencing the false story that Ukraine was developing biological weapons with the assistance of the U.S. government.
"Stop listening to the bought-and-paid-for propaganda machine. Look elsewhere. Do the opposite of everything they're fucking telling you, because it's all lies — every last bit of it. From getting a [COVID-19 vaccine] booster to supporting the fucking Ukraine, every last bit of it is a fucking lie. Wake up, smell the coffee that's brewing and do something."
Lewis then started playing the first chords of "Am I The Only One", which takes aim at liberals and touches on American flags burning and statues that have been removed in the country.
"I wrote this song 'cause I fucking had to — had to," he told the crowd. "As a 50-year-old adult male, I was watching my fucking everything crumble in front of my eyes, and I had to write it."
Aaron's latest comments come a month after he weighed in on the Russian invasion of Ukraine while performing in Portsmouth, Ohio. At the March 17 concert at the Vern Riffe Center, Lewis told cheering fans, "Question everything. Everything that they’re telling you right now is a lie. Everything.
"These are the people that are making us look bad throughout the entire world — the same people that have you convinced that we all need to support Ukraine even though all of their money laundering systems, all of their everything, the way that they get all their kickbacks and they wash everything is all through the Ukraine," Lewis said.
He added: "You know, as fucked up as it sounds, maybe we should listen to what Vladimir Putin is saying. Maybe, just maybe, when [World Economic Forum executive chairman] Klaus Schwab and [liberal billionaire philanthropist] George Soros and every other dirty fucking earth-destroying motherfucker all jumps on the same bandwagon, maybe, just maybe we should fucking take a good look at that. Why are they trying to protect Ukraine so much? What do they all have to lose?"
Lewis also promoted intentionally miscaptioned video of a news reporter in front of multiple body bags has gone viral on several major social networks, and has been spread widely by pro-Kremlin accounts.
"If you haven't seen Vladimir Putin actually say that he's fighting the 'Deep State' right now, which is the same people we're fighting, which is the same people everywhere on the face of this earth that people are fighting for freedom," he said. "You know, we need to reassess and think about who it is, who these people are, what makes them worthy of us putting all of our faith and all of our trust in these fucking snake oil salesmen."
Last November, Lewis claimed that he beat COVID-19 by taking ivermectin, a drug with no evidence of being a safe or effective treatment for the novel coronavirus. He said he also used Z-Pak, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections by inhibiting the growth of bacteria in the body.
Lewis made headlines last September when he urged his fans to chant "Fuck Joe Biden" during a STAIND concert in Pennsylvania.
Aaron told the Anchorage Press in a January 2020 interview that he considered the first Donald Trump impeachment by the House Of Representatives as the clearest representation of what's wrong with America these days.
Lewis was a staunch critic of President Barack Obama, telling a crowd at one of his solo concerts in 2016: "Barack Obama should have been impeached a long fucking time ago. Every fucking decision he makes is against the Constitution, it's against what's good for our fucking country, and he is truly the worst fucking president that we have ever had in the history of this fucking country."
That same year, Lewis told Billboard that he would support Trump in the U.S. presidential race, even though he was "disappointed" by the real estate mogul "with the bickering and the name-calling." Lewis added that he voted for Senator Ted Cruz, Trump's closest competitor in the Republican nomination race, in the Massachusetts primary.
First time seeing Aaron Lewis and he was awesome! He puts his heart and soul into his songs and you can feel it ♥️
The song “Am I the Only One” is my favorite. This is the true meaning of an America. Fighting for your country, always standing for the red, the white and blue ❤️??..

TED NUGENT: 'COVID-19 Will Go Down In History As The Biggest Scam Known To Man'Outspoken conservative rocker Ted Nugent, who regularly promotes conspiracy theories about everything from the COVID-19 pandemic to the U.S. Capitol riot, was asked in a new interview with American Songwriter why he thinks he has become such a lightning rod for controversy over the years. He responded: "It's all so simple, it's stupid. Courtney Love is a drug-abusing liar; guns and the Second Amendment are perfect; drugs are for weak losers; politics are supposed to be driven purely by the U.S. Constitution; gay people are just people; the very concept of animal rights is a dirty scam; too many Islamists are murderous, homophobic devils; COVID-19 will go down in history as the biggest scam known to man; Kyle Rittenhouse [a then-17-year-old from Antioch, Illinois who fatally shot two men and wounded another in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August 2020] displayed the perfection of good over evil; [former U.S. president Barack] Obama was an America-hating prick, nearly everything [former U.S. president Donald] Trump did benefited America and mankind; and [current U.S. president] Joe Biden is the manifestation of cultural deprivation. I'm a lightning rod because truth, logic and common sense is kryptonite to the politically correct, braindead, soulless cult-of-denial fleebs. Could I be any cooler?"
Ted's comment about Courtney Love appears to be a reference to the fact that she made the shocking allegation during an appearance on a 2004 episode of "The Howard Stern Show" that one of the first times she had oral sex was with Nugent. She said she was young and she didn't want to say exactly how old she was, but eventually confessed she was a 12-year-old — which would have made Nugent approximately 28 years old at the time. Nugent has repeatedly denied the allegation and has never been charged with having sex with an underage girl.
A year ago, Nugent went public with the fact that he was battling COVID-19, saying that he had "never been so scared" in his entire life. The 73-year-old pro-gun activist, who had previously claimed the virus was "not a real pandemic," said: "It was really scary. I didn't think I was gonna make it. I literally couldn't function for about 20 hours, and then they came and they rescued me… The six-foot-two, 225-pound headache [this time] was like nothing I have ever experienced. I mean, from my tip of my toes to the top of my hair, I literally was dizzy and weak and struggled to get up to go to the bathroom. And I would lay in the bathtub a couple of times a day with the water as hot as I could take it just to divert."
Ted also said that he was being treated for COVID-19 by a group of doctors who made a video in 2020 calling for the use of hydroxychloroquine to battle the novel coronavirus, despite warnings from public health experts. Nugent went on to detail his clinical management of COVID-19, saying he was taking hydroxychloroquine, "a proven drug for 65 years," as well as ivermectin, "another proven drug."
In the past, Nugent, a staunch Trump supporter, had referred to the virus as a "leftist scam to destroy" America's 45th president. He had also repeated a narrative pushed by conservative media and disputed by health experts that suggests the official death count from the coronavirus was inflated.
Last fall, Nugent appeared on "Off The Record" where he once again said that he wouldn't take the COVID-19 vaccine because the shots that are available in the United States were developed in less than a year are probably fake.
"It's not a vaccine," he said. "It's an experimental shot. Now the FDA was forced to authorize it recently, but they were jabbing people with an experimental shot right up until that fake authorization.
"I don't believe it's a vaccine," he reiterated. "Most of America doesn't believe it's a vaccine. The only ones that are taking it are either gullible or being forced because they're gonna lose their job, lose their life and lose their livelihood."
Asked what he would say to the people who believe it's a worthwhile vaccine and it's saving lives, Ted said: "I appreciate the opportunity to speak to the people that went ahead and got the jab. I speak their language. I will speak to them thusly: Baaaaaah," he said, imitating a sheep. "Baaaaaah. Baaaaaah. Baaaaaah. They understand that."
When senior Capitol correspondent Tim Skubick asked Nugent point blank if he believes that the millions of people who got the shot are "just stupid," Ted replied: "Y 4

TRIVIUM's MATT HEAFY To Release 'Ibaraki And Friends', A Young Reader's Guide To Japanese FolkloreThis June, TRIVIUM vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy, Z2 Comics and illustrator Half Sumo will debut "Ibaraki And Friends", a rhyming picture book featuring the myriad Japanese folktales and rich mythologies that inspired Heafy as a child. This vibrant guide, designed by Matt's wife Ashley Heafy, offers a new way for families to connect to Japanese culture and be enthralled by the monsters, heroes, and places that form its legacy.
"'Ibaraki And Friends' is a book full of the stories that I grew up with. That Japanese folklore lies at the very root of so many of the amazing stories we have today, whether they're in video games, anime, movies, or songs," Matt explains.
Each spread of "Ibaraki And Friends" presents one of the many legendary tricksters, heroes, and mystical beings that occupied the classical Japanese stories Heafy's mother taught him growing up. These include the monkey/man/bird hybrid Tengu; the eight-headed beast Yamata no Orochi; and a nine-tailed celestial fox, all channeled with neon energy through Half Sumo's vivid illustrations.
"For years, I've researched as many Japanese stories as possible—gotten several of them tattooed on my body — and explored their themes in the songs of TRIVIUM, IBARAKI and now in 'Ibaraki And Friends'," Matt continues "It's our hope that in exploring these wonderful stories, that the readers will want to learn more about Japanese culture — then more cultures of the surrounding Asian countries, then spread that willingness to learn about stories from all over the world, inspiring curiosity in the many cultures we share around the planet."
In tandem, Heafy is also releasing the "Ibaraki And Friends" lullaby CD, a musical complement of the book that provides soothing, acoustic songs written and performed by Heafy to offer even more ways to experience these treasured tales.
Heafy is a Japanese-American musician, best known as the guitarist and lead vocalist for the Grammy-nominated heavy metal band TRIVIUM. Heafy co-founded the band in 1999 when he was in eighth grade; the quartet has gone on to sell millions of records over the span of ten studio albums, culminating with "In The Court Of The Dragon", released last October. TRIVIUM was nominated for the "Best Metal Performance" Grammy in 2019 for the song "Betrayer".
Heafy's solo project IBARAKI explores Japanese culture and mythology through black metal, and partially inspired his "Ibaraki And Friends" book with Z2 Comics. The IBARAKI self-titled record debuts on May 6 worldwide and includes guest contributions from Gerard Way of MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, Ihsahn of EMPEROR, and Nergal of BEHEMOTH. Heafy also releases music under Matthew K Heafy and has collaborated with musicians including Mike Shinoda (LINKIN PARK) and Richard Marx.
Heafy is also an avid gamer, practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and food connoisseur. He streams daily on his Twitch channel "matthewkheafy," displaying the behind-the-scenes work it takes to stay in shape for guitars and vocals. Playing TRIVIUM songs by request, every day is a new show made by the fans for the fans.
Heafy has co-founded the Metal & Honey Foundation. The Metal & Honey Foundation supports the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital For Children. One hundred percent of the proceeds directly benefit the music therapy program.

BLACK STONE CHERRY To Release 'Live From The Royal Albert Hall… Y'All' In JuneBLACK STONE CHERRY will release "Live From The Royal Albert Hall… Y'All" on June 24 on CD + Blu-Ray, LP and digital via Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group.
On Wednesday September, 29 2021 — the year of the band's 20th anniversary — Kentucky's favorite sons BLACK STONE CHERRY realized their childhood dream of playing at the legendary Royal Albert Hall, London. Sat on the stage at the iconic Victorian building, singer-guitarist Chris Robertson pauses, looks around and says: "When you're a kid, and you see your heroes' playing places, and then all of a sudden you find yourself sitting on the stage, it's pretty emotional. But we're gonna royally rock it this evening. You better believe that."
And they don't disappoint as they open with the explosive "Me And Mary Jane". From clubs to arenas and festival headline performances, no one puts on the kind of show that these boys do. Hit after hit — it's all killer — the rapturous crowd roar back.
BLACK STONE CHERRY was one of the first international bands to tour the U.K. following the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions being eased, and they gave every single fan in there that night a euphoric dose of happiness. They tear through an impressive back catalog, playing songs from their most recent studio album "The Human Condition" – "In Love With The Pain", "Again" and "Ringin' In My Head" — through to their biggest hits and fan favorites. "Blind Man", "Hell And High Water", "Blame It On The Boom Boom" and "White Trash Millionaire" rock the building alongside moments of tenderness such as the touching rendition and emotional performance of "Things My Father Said".
Talking about playing the Royal Albert Hall, drummer John-Fred Young said: "To be honest, I was terrified. It was heavy walking in there. You think about how many great acts have played this place. The prestige behind it. We've wanted to play the Royal Albert Hall since the first U.K. tour in 2007." He continued: "Dudes from the middle of the country in Kentucky to go out here and have built an amazing group of people that we care about and come to our shows and support us. To know that with all that hard work and dedication we have put into BLACK STONE CHERRY, we've accomplished something here. Walking in that place, it's just breath-taking. You walk on that stage, and you say, we did it, and it's a feeling that I will cherish for the rest of my life."
New bandmember Steve Jewell Jr. replaces founding bass player Jon Lawhon and criss-crosses the stage with Ben Wells and Robertson projecting boundless enthusiasm.
"We've headlined Wembley Arena, we've headlined festivals, but you walk into this place, and it's different. I remember watching footage of ZEPPELIN here, and now we're here," Robertson reflects.
On the Blu-ray, the live footage is dotted with behind-the-scenes interviews, fly on the wall footage and archival insights into the band as kids first starting out, snippets of their first ever U.K. tour and heartfelt moments of reflection.

Watch LAMB OF GOD Perform With Guest Singers From CHIMAIRA, IN FLAMES And TRIVIUMLAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe was forced to miss the band's concert Tuesday night (April 19) in Grand Rapids, Michigan after testing positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Filling in for him at the gig were singers of two of the groups who are currently on tour with LAMB OF GOD, TRIVIUM's Matt Heafy and IN FLAMES' Anders Fridén, as well as Mark Hunter of CHIMAIRA, which supported LAMB OF GOD on a U.S. tour back in 2003. Fan-filmed video of the concert is available below.
After the gig, Hunter shared several photos from backstage and soundcheck, and he included the following message: "I had the honor of singing for LAMB OF GOD tonight. @drandallblythe was unavailable due to having COVID. It was an absolute honor and I'm extremely grateful they thought of me. Get better soon, Randy!!"
He later told a fan on Twitter that he had only a day to prepare for the show. "I learned 7 songs in 25 hours," he wrote. "I had tunnel vision like never before. Hyperfocus."
Several hours before last night's concert, Blythe released the following statement via social media: "After two years, the 'rona finally got me. Regrettably, the symptoms of COVID look pretty much exactly like regular tour life for me- achey/sore throat/headache (I'm 51 years old, I scream & jump around like a maniac to very loud music for over an hour each night, so of course I ache & have a sore throat & a headache- that's just called 'tour'), so I thought what I was feeling was just normal. However, after my throat got worse, just to be safe I took a test, & it popped up positive. I IMMEDIATELY isolated myself from my band & all other humans, contacted anyone I had been near to let them know, & will continue to isolate until I am no longer contagious."
He continued: "This is the correct, ethical thing to do- what feels like a really bad cold to me could mean something very, very different to an immuno-compromised person who is unable to be vaccinated like I am, or an elderly person. I am already feeling better, but in order to protect my band, our fans, and the health of the tour, I have to miss tonight's show. This sucks, but it's the cost of doing business these days. Our old friend Mark Hunter of CHIMAIRA fame will return to the stage & fill in for me tonight- thank you, Mark, you're a solid dude & I know you will kill it! I only wish I could be there to see it! I hope to be back onstage later this week.
"Thanks for your understanding in advance- this is nothing I wanted to happen, but I am doing my best to do the right thing here."
LAMB OF GOD is currently on the road in North America with MEGADETH, TRIVIUM and IN FLAMES as part of what is being called "The Metal Tour Of The Year".
Last October, Blythe urged everyone coming to see his band perform to get vaccinated against COVID-19. "I believe in fucking science," he said during an appearance on MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn's "No Fuckin' Regrets With Robb Flynn" podcast. "And I have friends who are doctors and scientists and nurses, and these are people I'm going to listen to — not someone on social media, not another musician, not a talking head on CNN, Fox News, USA Today, PBS; none of this stuff. I talk to my friends who are molecular biologists, immunologists, emergency room doctors, and I have friends who are nurses, one of whom works in a COVID ward — and someone very close to me. These are not my friends' neighbors' second cousin's buddy [saying], 'I heard this or that or the other'; these are people who are friends of mine I talk to directly. They're, like, 'This is real. This is the science. This is the data. This is what I see. These are the people I see dying.' So I'm going to listen to my friends 'cause they're a lot smarter than me.
"For me, everybody has to quote-unquote do their own research, I guess," he laughed. "My research involves talking to friends of mine who spent years of their lives pursuing degrees that cost them thousands and thousands of dollars, or who dedicate their lives to the service of others in the medical profession. And this is what these people are telling me. So I don't have to filter through all this data, through all these different media sources; I just talk to my friends. 'Are you vaccinated?' 'Yes.' 'Tell me about this vaccine. Tell me about the technology.' And I've had these conversations.
"When the vaccine came out very rapidly, comparatively, like anyone else, I was, like, 'Well, that's quick,'" Randy admitted. "But then some friends of mine explained to me, 'This is old technology. They've been working on this for 15 fucking years. It's not new. So cut it out with that.' And also, this is not just an American or one country's or one corporation's push; this is a massive international effort to get this vaccine ready — different ones ready — for distribution.
"I have a friend who works in intelligence — pretty high-level intelligence — and one of their jobs right now is helping out with COVAX, which is the international vaccine distribution arm. And he [was] talking to one of his co-workers from COVAX, and it was just, like, it's very frustrating with certain places where the vaccine is available and people don't wanna take it, and there are countries that are begging for it.
"All that aside, for me, like I said, it's a matter of talking to my friends and being, like, 'What's the deal with this?'" Blythe added. "Because these are people I trust, and they're a lot smarter than me… So I'm going to listen to them — I'm just gonna."
LAMB OF GOD's latest, self-titled album was released in June 2020 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to "VII: Sturm Und Drang" marked LAMB OF GOD's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined the band in July 2019 as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.
"Lamb Of God" was recorded with longtime producer Josh Wilbur (KORN, MEGADETH, GOJIRA, TRIVIUM) and includes special guest appearances by Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT).

COHEED AND CAMBRIA Shares Acoustic Cover Of KISS's 'Love Gun'COHEED AND CAMBRIA has shared an acoustic cover of KISS's "Love Gun". The band performed the cover for its early entry audience every night on its recent "Great Destroyer Tour" and decided to record it. The new cover coincides with the launch of COHEED AND CAMBRIA's "Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind" video game. Fans can play as the album's protagonists, Creature or Sister Spider, as they embark on a mission to save their son Vaxis.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA recently announced details of a massive 2022 North American summer headline trek. Dubbed "A Window Of The Waking Mind Tour", it's the band's first major headline run of shows in five years. The upcoming trek, featuring support from DANCE GAVIN DANCE and MOTHICA, will kick off on July 12 and see the band performing at some of the largest venues of their career in major cities across the continent, including Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville, Denver, Queens, Toronto, Los Angeles and more.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA's new album, "Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind", will be released worldwide on May 27. The LP welcomes us back to "The Amory Wars" as the second installment of the five-part "Vaxis" arc about a couple on the run from tyrannical forces and their mysterious new addition. The album's limited-edition deluxe box set includes the exclusive 96-page illustrated hardcover novel "A Window Of The Waking Mind" which was developed by Sanchez and written by his wife Chondra Echert with strikingly realistic color artwork by Chase Stone. The 9" x 12" box set also houses an exclusive Quintillan Speaker Containment Unit Lamp (approximately 8" diameter), a three-panel fold out poster of expanded album cover art, and the "A Window Of The Waking Mind" black card which will allow all card holders early access to tickets and early entry to COHEED AND CAMBRIA headline dates. All box sets will also come with a CD copy and download of "Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind" along with an official Certificate Of Authenticity.
Named one of Revolver's "Most Anticipated Albums Of 2022," "Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind" includes the recently released singles "Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)" and "Shoulders", the latter of which vaulted into the Top 10 at Active Rock Radio, marking the group's career highest radio chart position to date. "(It) masterfully pairs heavy metal-infused riffs with sweeping, melodic vocals in a way that only COHEED can," declared MTV who placed "Shoulders" in their 2021 Favorites round-up. "COHEED AND CAMBRIA are back, and they're heavy as ever," asserted Billboard, with Guitar World attesting "COHEED AND CAMBRIA have come out swinging." Brooklyn Vegan observed, "It finds the band embracing their love of classic heavy metal riffage, before exploding into the kind of soaring chorus that COHEED have been churning out since day one… they sound pretty damn inspired."
For the last 20 years, COHEED AND CAMBRIA have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. Whether it is in the way their genre-spanning approach to songwriting has allowed them to bridge worlds without being contained to one, or the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest running concept story in music, COHEED AND CAMBRIA have consistently shaped new standards, never conformed. Comprised of Claudio Sanchez (vocals / guitar), Travis Stever (guitar), Josh Eppard (drums) and Zach Cooper (bass), the band has gripped listeners and press around the globe with their visionary compositions and conceptual mastery. In 2018, COHEED AND CAMBRIA made a stunning debut with their album "Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures", which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart, No. 6 current sales and Top 15 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Earlier this month, Gene Simmons spoke to ET's Kevin Frazier about KISS's "End Of The Road" farewell tour, which launched in 2019 and is scheduled to end sometime in 2023, 50 years after the band's formation.
"We start playing the outdoor stadiums of South America, literally within two weeks, and continue on to Europe and Australia and eventually North America, Japan, all that stuff. Mexico," Simmons said. "And this is going to be the last tour. We're done."
"We're approaching 50 years of doing this, which is unbelievable because we never thought we'd last more than a few years," he added.
Gene went on to say that he and fellow KISS co-founder Paul Stanley are in agreement that it's time to retire from the road.
"The last thing that you want to do is be a guy that stays in the ring too long and gets his ass beat," Simmons said. "Get out of the ring when you're a champion.
"You got to understand — we love [Mick] Jagger and Bruno Mars and Bono and anybody else, they're all great, but if you put those guys — Beyoncé, put Beyoncé in my outfit with seven-to-eight-inch platform heels, dragon boots that each weigh as much as a bowling ball, the entire outfit, studs, leather and armor is about 40 pounds," he explained. "The guitar and the studs is 12 pounds by itself. Then, you got to spit fire, fly through the air and do that for two hours. They would pass out within a half hour."
"We are the hardest-working band out there and take pride in it," Gene added. "And not every band should be out there too long. You've got to have some pride and not stay too long. Always keep them wanting. I'm the most blessed and grateful guy in the world to be able to be in a band where I can wear more makeup and higher heels than your girlfriend."
KISS was forced to put its farewell trek on hold in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last October, Stanley said that the final concert of the "End Of The Road" tour will likely happen by early 2023.
"End Of The Road" was originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021 in New York City but has since been extended. The trek was announced in September 2018 following a KISS performance of the band's classic song "Detroit Rock City" on "America's Got Talent".
KISS's current lineup consists of original members Stanley and Simmons, alongside later band additions, guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).
Formed in 1973 by Stanley, Simmons, drummer Peter Criss and guitarist Ace Frehley, KISS's first "farewell" tour in 2000 was the last to feature the group's original lineup.

ANN WILSON Releases Cover Of QUEEN's 'Love Of My Life' In Duet With VINCE GILLHEART frontwoman Ann Wilson has released her breathtaking rendition of QUEEN's "Love Of My Life", featuring vocals from Vince Gill. The track is taken from Wilson's forthcoming album, "Fierce Bliss", due out April 29 via Silver Lining Music.
Ann says: "'Love Of My Life' is a beautiful song about endless love. It was my honor to duet with Vince Gill on this song; an unforgettable experience for which I'm grateful."
Wilson has always enjoyed bringing new life and verve to classic songs, and with "Love Of My Life" she has helped fashion a definitive version which stands toe-to-toe with the original.
"I had the idea for the QUEEN song 'Love Of My Life' as a duet, so I just tried to picture who would be 'the male angel' that would sing the other part of it," explains Wilson. "I thought how great the song would be if it was stripped down and just sung with soul, and it had to be Vince Gill because he's got that voice, that soul."
One of the premier hard rock vocalists of all-time, Wilson smashed boundaries with her band HEART, the eight-times platinum, 35-million-plus-selling Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame trailblazers who formed in 1973. During a decades-long career, Wilson rode the roller coaster of fame, fortune and madness, learning both joyous and hard, hard lessons along the way. Fast forward to summer 2020 and a meeting with legendary veteran "artist's lawyer" Brian Rohan provided the catalyst for "Fierce Bliss"'s creation.
Ann says: "Brian recommended people to me that knew people in Nashville, so I met these guys like [famed Nashville session guitarist] Tom Bukovac and Tony Lucido at those Muscle Shoals Sound Studio sessions. I'd never met them before, and they really inspired me. It was like a big door opening."
With the musical chemistry organically established, "Fierce Bliss" came together quickly. "I had originally intended to go in, record a few songs and see what I had, but it just took on this life," remarks Wilson. "At Sound Stage in Nashville, Kenny Wayne Shepherd came in and played on a couple songs. He was a whole other influence coming in. He just played his butt off, and with the gospel singers and everything else coming together, the whole project just started to grow."
Wilson continues: "I'd known Warren Haynes from GOV'T MULE for a while. We'd written a couple songs together with GOV'T MULE playing, and those rounded out the record. So all of a sudden, where there was no record before, suddenly I had eleven cool songs that I really liked."
"Fierce Bliss" is classic rock comfort food of the finest ingredients, carrying a richness and light that allows you to escape into timeless nostalgia. 11 perfectly weighted and selected songs ranging from Wilson's own co-penned originals to breathtaking covers and collaborations. "A Moment In Heaven" could easily apply to anyone who has seen their career suddenly bathed in a bright beam of glory before the spotlight is abruptly moved elsewhere. There is a deeply spiritual air about Ann Wilson 2022, and both "Black Wing" and "Angel's Blues" show different facets of that soul and ethos. Furthermore, Wilson brings new life and verve to classic songs, such as QUEEN's "Love Of My Life", EURYTHMICS' "Missionary Man" and Robin Trower's "Bridge Of Sighs", and has helped fashion definitive versions of each which stand toe-to-toe with the originals.
To cap it all, the album artwork comes from the mind and hands of celebrated fantasy artist Roger Dean, who aside from his work in fantasy art is also renowned for his YES sleeve artwork.
Wilson will soon be hitting the road with her new band, and make no mistake, she's a performer at heart thus her excitement is palpable. Ann Wilson seems to be more comfortable with herself (and her art) than ever before with both "Fierce Bliss" and the band she'll be touring with. "I think that for someone who's been through as much as I have, and has lived to tell the tales, it's okay to share my experiences," says Wilson sagely. "I've heard from a lot of younger musicians and listeners too who have thanked me for staying around and for just keeping upright, just making it through, making the concessions once but not twice, and being able to live through it all with dignity."
This past February, Ann released the first single from "Fierce Bliss", a song called "Greed". At the time, Ann stated about the track: "'Greed' is that thing in our animal nature that makes us want MORE. Whether it be money, sex, power or ecstasy, it fires our craving. It happens with all of us. When you turn around and catch yourself making decisions because you want the money, or because you're caught in the headlights of glory, well, those are greedy moments."
Wilson continued: "I think people who claim to have made every decision from a root of pure idealism, and never done anything dark or greedy, is lying. I think everybody who ventures into especially the music industry hoping for a career with big success, ends up making these Faustian bargains at some point even if only briefly. It's an aggressive song and I think I write best when I'm angry."

DEF LEPPARD Releases New Single 'Take What You Want'The official visualizer for DEF LEPPARD's new single, "Take What You Want", can be seen below. It is the second single from DEF LEPPARD's upcoming album, "Diamond Star Halos", which will arrive on May 27 via UMe. The follow-up to 2015's self-titled LP is available for pre-order now in multiple configurations, including a deluxe edition, 2-LP vinyl, digital formats and more. Exclusive bundles including newly designed album merch have also launched.
Last month, DEF LEPPARD released "Diamond Star Halos"'s first single, "Kick". The song thrusts into an anthemic stadium-ready frenzy kickstarted with driving guitars and bombastic drums woven into its musical fabric. Meanwhile, the chorus has all the makings of another iconic LEPPARD hit with its skyscraping vocals and melodies the band has become synonymous for.
DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen, who came up with "Kick" as an additional track after the first 14 songs were already completed, told Billboard that "'Kick' represented where we were at as well. It's got that glam rock feel, that hand-clap groove, big vocals. It was just a no-brainer. It was not only that it's got to be on the album, it's got to be the first single as well."
"It's a stadium anthem, and we were about to go into stadiums," singer Joe Elliott said. "We didn't write it for that reason, but Phil's always trying to write the next 'Sugar' or 'We Will Rock You' or 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll'. We all are, but he actually came up with one, and it's, like, 'Yeah, we've got to do that,' so now it’s a 15-song record."
The artwork for "Diamond Star Halos" is art in itself. The design follows pedigree with their instantly recognizable album covers from their celebrated past. With images by world renowned photographer and director Anton Corbijn, styling concepts by Maryam Malakpour and graphics by the U.K.-based Munden Brothers, the design truly follows the band's influence through their eyes today.
Over the past two years, DEF LEPPARD recorded "Diamond Star Halos" simultaneously in three different countries with Elliott in Ireland, Rick Savage (bass) in England, and Collen, Vivian Campbell (guitar) and Rick Allen (drums) in the United States. Without the pressure of timelines or a fixed schedule, they poured all of their energy into crafting 15 meaningful tracks with a mixture of classic spirit meets modern fire. Thematically, they nodded to their earliest collective influences such as David Bowie, T.REX and MOTT THE HOOPLE, among others. The title itself notably references T.REX's "Bang a Gong (Get It On)". However, they didn't embark on this journey alone. The multi-Grammy Award-winning and legendary artist Alison Krauss lent her instantly recognizable and angelic voice to "This Guitar" and "Lifeless", while David Bowie pianist Mike Garson performs on "Goodbye For Good This Time" and "Angels (Can't Help You Now)".
"Diamond Star Halos" track listing:
01. Take What You Want
02. Kick
03. Fire It Up
04. This Guitar (feat. Alison Krauss]
05. Sos Emergency
06. Liquid Dust

08. Goodbye For Good This Time

11. Gimme A Kiss
12. Angels (Can't Help You Now)
13. Lifeless (feat. Alison Krauss)

DEF LEPPARD's "The Stadium Tour" with MÖTLEY CRÜE, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS was originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020 but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

RUSH drummer Neil Peart died in January 2020 in Santa Monica, California after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 67 years old.
RUSH's final show took place at the Forum in Los Angeles on August 1, 2015. Peart indicated at the time that he wanted to retire while he was still able to play well, along with a desire to spend more time at home with his young daughter.
RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson and bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee have repeatedly said that RUSH will never do a show unless all three musicians agree to take part. They haven't performed as RUSH without Peart since he joined the band in 1974.

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD Gets 'Biblical' In Upcoming BookJUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford will release a new book, "Biblical: Rob Halford's Heavy Metal Scriptures", on November 1 via Hachette Books.
In the follow-up to his 2020 autobiography "Confess", Halford runs his lively eye over all facets of the hard rock history and the heavy metal world. "Biblical" is an encyclopedia and manifesto in which Halford shares his opinions, memories, and anecdotes regarding every element of the rock and roll work and lifestyle from tours to tattoos, riffs to riders, and drugs to devil horns. In Halford's relaxed and honest tone, the book mixes serious and in-depth pieces with whimsical reflections on lessons learned during his fifty years of a life in music. "Biblical" is a handed-down-from-on-high holy tome that transports fans behind the scenes and back into their record collections, to the almighty ways of rock.
"After my penitence with CONFESS, it's time for me to be BIBLICAL and take our congregation through all the ins and out and ups and downs of what it takes to make the life of the Metal God," Halford said in a statement. "So get comfy in your pew and prepare for the light of revelations by becoming BIBLICAL!"
In a Rolling Stone interview before the release of "Confess", Halford discussed when it's appropriate to declare himself a Metal God. "I really feel it's when I'm onstage. Everything changes when you hit the stage. Just getting out there and holding a mic, there's something very tangible that shifts in me and suddenly it's the Metal God. It's a bit like when Superman went into the phone booth and came out. Whereas he came out in a cape and tights, I come out in leather chaps."
Halford recently publicly revealed that he battled prostate cancer during the pandemic. He previously mentioned his cancer battle in the new chapter added to the updated paperback edition of "Confess". In "Confess", Halford revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer after experiencing symptoms for at least a couple of years.
In July 2020, Rob underwent prostatectomy, an operation where the entire prostate gland is removed plus some of the tissue around it, including the seminal vesicles. After more cancer was found last year, he went through radiation treatments in April and May 2021 and eventually got then all-clear in June 2021. He also had an appendectomy after a tumor was discovered on his appendix.
"Confess" arrived in September 2020 via Hachette Books. Co-written with Ian Gittins, the book offered readers a compelling, heartfelt and honest look at the struggles Rob has faced with addiction and his sexuality as well as exploring his music and his many brushes with controversy.
Two months ago, Halford told the Phoenix, Arizona radio station KSLX-FM 100.7 about "Confess": "I was approached in my 30s. 'Rob, do you want to do a book?' I'm, like, 'No, dude. I've got more of a life to live.' And then there's a little bell [that] goes, 'Ping! It's time to do it.' So we put that together while the pandemic was going on.
"Thank you to everybody that took time to get into the book," he continued. "It was a real journey of self-discovery. 'Cause Ian Gittins, who is my guy — Ian did the Nikki Sixx 'Heroin Diaries' and a multitude of other great books. He was the master of taking it through the various parts of my life. And we got it done at long last."
Halford went on to praise Gittins further, saying: "He's great. He's a researcher. He pulls his stuff from all these different resources. Once you put a light on in my head, the lips start flapping… So, I'm relieved that, through my sobriety, I thought I had lost so much of this stuff in those murky years, but he was able to get me through that time, which we included in the book. So, yeah, we didn't miss anything; we didn't cut any corners. The difficulty came when we sent all these hundreds of thousands of words to the publisher, and then the editing team goes in. I'm, like, 'You cannot take that out. It's gotta stay in.' We had quite a bit of material left over — for the right reasons. That's why editors edit. So we're utilizing that in another project that we'll be talking about later on this year," he added, apparently referring to "Biblical: Rob Halford's Heavy Metal Scriptures".
In "Confess", Halford discusses in detail what it was like becoming the first metal icon to announce he is gay in 1998 during an MTV interview, despite knowing about his sexuality since he was 10. Although his bandmates and their management knew he was gay and were accepting, he was advised to be discreet given the macho hetero nature of the metal world. He also opens up about surviving sexual abuse, as well as his struggles with depression, substance abuse, sobriety, and the suicide of one of his former partners. He also talks about how his own suicide attempt in 1986 led him to the rehab program that saved his life.
A year and a half ago, Halford told Sonic Perspectives about the book's title: "I would like to feel there are parts of this book which are relatable to others. Everybody is the same, as we all share similar life experiences. There are so many things that happen to us; we are almost identical no matter where we are from. I've traveled the world and seen how our music can touch people from all walks of life and professions. Confessing these stories or episodes is important, and it gives the reader a look-see into this guy that you only see from one point of view."
Halford is not the first member of PRIEST's classic lineup to release a book. Former JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing released his autobiography, "Heavy Duty: Days And Nights In Judas Priest", in September 2018 via Da Capo Press.
In 2009, original JUDAS PRIEST singer Al Atkins released his autobiography, titled "Dawn Of The Metal Gods: My Life In Judas Priest And Heavy Metal". JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill penned the foreword to the book, which was written with Neil Daniels — a freelance rock writer and heavy metal fan who befriended Atkins during the writing of Neil's book "The Story Of Judas Priest: Defenders Of The Faith" (Omnibus Press). 14

Brazil's KLINSH Release "Siga Em Frente" Music VideoBrazil-based hard rock / classic rock quintet Klinsh, formed by Lito Ferreira (vocals), Lucas Coelho and Everton Freitas (guitars), Rodrigo Paixao (bass) and Jorge Braz (drums), have released the music video for the title track of their new release, the six-track EP, Siga Em Frente (in english Go Ahead). The EP, available on all digital platforms, pays tribute to, and praises, all women of the XXI century. Find the video below.
The track theme "Siga Em Frente" was inspired by a friend of the singer Lito Ferreira who was suffocating in pessimistic thoughts and negative questions about her appearance after the breakup of a relationship, that is, another great woman who needed only affection and good advice to try to move forward always with a positive perspective of life. Who says Rock 'N' Roll can't make you move on?
About the title track, Lito Ferreira (vocal) comments: "It was a song I wrote inspired by a friend who had just separated from a relationship and that at the time her inner questionings were constantly affecting her. This dear friend even came to me for advice, even having pessimistic thoughts about her appearance, and I always tried to help her as best as I could so that these negative ideas would cease. In one of these conversations, the phrase 'she came bringing roses but didn't remove the thorns' came to me instantly, and the most interesting thing is that the melody of the song came to me precisely from a joke I used to play when I played the guitar for my daughter, who was still a baby at the time. One fine day, with the phrase in mind, the lyrics of "Siga Em Frente" came to me in full upon this melody bringing a message for this friend to always try to go forward, without negative thoughts, regardless of people or situation, always with a positive outlook on life, because everything goes by. Walk, grow, progress more and more, always move forward!"
Lucas Coelho (guitar) states: "The magic and the energy to create this track flowed naturally during our rehearsals, without eccentricities, we just put our influences over the mystical part of Lito's lyrics according to our feelings about it. We have in this track the guitars doing different parts, with two separate arrangements reminding a lot of that classic rock sound of the 80s, where one guitar would do the base and the other would bring different details to add up to the final melody."
On the instrumental and compositional parts, musicians Everton Freitas (guitar) and Rodrigo Paixao (bass), respectively, also comment: "It was a song thought in a crescendo, because we wanted to start slower and grow with its progress. Two guitars arranging in different ways, but complementing each other. I think we succeeded!" and "this specific track represents a new beginning! In the bass part, I thought of doing something well marked, like a drum bulb for most of the song. On the solo part, I followed the guitar base with the 'feeling' that the melody asked for.
Lucas Coelho (guitar) concludes: "In 2021/2022 we are already living a collective and worldwide 'Siga Em Frente', leaving this time of pandemic to return to normality, the track theme marries with several moments, in the micro (band) and the macro (world). Oh, and with a great Frejat and Barao Vermelho influence blunted by Lito." (laughs)
Strongly influenced by the traditional sounds of rock, classic rock and hard rock from the 70's, 80's and 90's, this new EP has six tracks that honor and praise all women of the XXI century through positive messages and filled with energy as the good old Brazilian rock has always had for excellence.
