IMPELLITTERI Guitarist Checks In - "We Are In The Mid-Point Of Recording The New Album"
Impellitteri / Animetal USA guitarist Chris Impellitteri has checked in with the following update:
"As we are in the mid-point of recording the new Impellitteri record, Time Machine, I am excited for our fans and friends around the world to hear this new music! At the same time I, like all artists, have fear of how we will be received. Will the critics try to discredit our style of music saying we play too many notes, sing too high, play too fast, are too metal, not metal enough, dated, or too polished with our big production? Will the media cover us, and will what's left of the music industry help us share this music with the masses?
Either way, Impellitteri are making a KILLER new record because we love playing our style of music, sharing it with anyone who will listen to us, and challenging ourselves to make a record that everyone will want to listen to many times over! Time Machine to be released in 2015!"
Impellitteri posted the following message via Facebook earlier this yeat:
"Do bands ever record live anymore? Or do they all record separately in their bedrooms and share files with one another? This Impellitteri instrumental song titled 'Screaming Symphony' was recorded in one take while my band Impellitteri were playing for a couple of hundred people at the NAMM show during a JBL party. Since then, I have never recorded this song in the studio, as I wanted to have at least one song immortalized as crudely as possible, and never recorded using Pro-Tools or any other computer based system."
"In effect, what you hear is what you get, which means the artists get one chance to play their parts correctly as no computer or second take will fix their mistakes! A friend in the audience also recorded it using a cheap hand held camera to document this song. Sharing files between musicians to create a song seems so lame and impersonal to me. Bands need to get back to recording live with each other so they can communicate musically and play off of one another. Remember VAN HALEN 1? Computer recording is like having sex with yourself; it works, but I think we would all rather be with the significant other, or others while doing it... ha ha!"
