BRUCE DICKINSON In Praise Of BLACK SABBATH Drum Legend BILL WARD - "He's Brilliant; He's A Lovely Bloke As Well"
Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson brought his current spoken word tour to the Palace Of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California, on March 3rd. During the Q&A portion of the show he praised original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward's talents.
Dickinson: "I'm a massive lover of Bill Ward's drumming style; I think it's inspired. He's not really a rock drummer, he's more like a jazz drummer playing rock. And I love that kind of style. It's kind of like drums that kind of wander around the rhythm and everything else, but he's on it. He's brilliant. He's a lovely bloke as well. Slightly mad, but very nice.
"Does Black Sabbath exist without Bill Ward? I don't think Black Sabbath exist at all now. I think Sharon's (Osbourne) made sure of that."
Split into two parts, the first section of his spoken word tour sees Bruce taking a humorous and often satirical look at the world from his own very personal perspective, treating the audience to private insights into his drive and ambition, peppered with plenty of Maiden anecdotes, and a myriad of other experiences encompassing not just the giddy heights but also the extreme lows, told first-hand in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated with photographs and sometimes even erupting into song a-capella, to illustrate a point.
The final section of the evening is devoted entirely to a Q&A session, with the opportunity to pose questions on any subject whatsoever. As Bruce’s answers will all be completely improvised – the more left-field and quirky the question, the more interesting and compelling the response is likely to be!

During the 30-minute video interview, Bruce also revealed that Iron Maiden are officially getting ready behind-the-scenes to hit the road later this year in support of their latest album, Senjutsu. Шэрон гений, притянула Оззи к BS так сильно, что без него группа даже нихера сделать не может, хотя бОльшую часть своей истории BS и Оззи существовали отдельно друг от друга.
У Iron Maiden старые тёрки с семейкой Озборнов, в частности Шерон, после того как они пытались саботировать их выступление на Оззфесте, непонятно тогда зачем вообще приглашали, ибо тем самым по итогу публично унизили себя.
