ARCH ENEMY's ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ Says Her Debut Solo Album Is 'Done': 'It's Awesome And I Love It'

ARCH ENEMY's ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ Says Her Debut Solo Album Is 'Done': 'It's Awesome And I Love It'

During a recent appearance on "Vox&Hops", the podcast hosted by Matt McGachy, frontman of extreme metal band CRYPTOPSY, ARCH ENEMY singer Alissa White-Gluz spoke about the progress of the recording sessions for her long-in-the-works debut solo album. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "What happened was it was announced [in September 2016] that I signed [with Napalm Records] for a solo album. All I did was sign to do one, but I think a lot of people interpreted that I had an album that I was ready to put out. So, basically, when the news came out about this solo album, the only thing that happened at that point was that I just agreed to do one. And then I was on tour for, like, three hundred days of the year up until 2020. And so now it's done, because now I've actually been home long enough to write the songs and get them done. And it's awesome and I love it."

Regarding a possible release date for the effort, Alissa said: "There's nothing holding it back — it's done — but I need to be careful with how I release it, because now there's so many releases happening that I wanna make sure that the music gets the attention it deserves. So it's not gonna come out at the same time as an ARCH ENEMY album, for sure, because that's just not a good idea, but I will find a time to release it in a way that makes sense."

As for the musical direction of her solo material, Alissa said: "It doesn't really sound like ARCH ENEMY, actually. It's still me, so it's gonna sound a little bit like ARCH ENEMY, but it's kind of different. I feel like it's kind of an amalgam of that really interesting place that you're at when you're a beginner musician, because although I'm not a beginner vocalist or songwriter, I am a beginner guitarist — I'm very bad at guitar. So when I'm writing songs on guitar, I have an approach that is probably totally wrong, and that's what, I think, makes it cool. It's different — it's an unorthodox approach. I mean, I can still play it, but it's not my main instrument, so when I'm writing riffs on a guitar, I'm writing like a vocalist writing riffs on a guitar. Some could argue that that's kind of how Michael [Amott, ARCH ENEMY] writes too, actually, because his riffs are so 'sing-songy.' But, yeah, so I wrote a bunch with Jeff [Loomis, ARCH ENEMY guitarist] and I wrote a bunch with a lot of other people, actually, which I don't wanna spoil and announce them all now. But there's clean singing, there's growling, of course, and other interesting vocal techniques with the note screaming and some operatic stuff. It's a heavy album. I don't know what genre to call it. It's totally self-produced in that sense. It's honest. It's exactly what I just felt like writing for this. So there's some prog elements, there's some rock and roll elements, there's a lot of metal in it, obviously. But, yeah, I'm really happy with it. So I hope that other people like it too, basically."

Back in 2017, Alissa said that her debut solo album would feature collaborations with a member of KAMELOT and at least one of her bandmates in ARCH ENEMY.

The ARCH ENEMY frontwoman said that the idea for a solo project came about as a suggestion from the band's former lead singer Angela Gossow, who has been managing ARCH ENEMY's career for more than a decade and also oversees Alissa's personal affairs.

"[Angela] was, like, 'Well, you need something. You need something that you can do, because I know you're a workaholic and you're not gonna be able to just sit there like this waiting for the next ARCH ENEMY tour,'" Alissa told France's Duke TV. "And she's totally right — I needed something else to be able to work on. And also, I have a lot of ideas that maybe don't sound like ARCH ENEMY and it would be kind of silly to just force them into ARCH ENEMY."

According to White-Gluz, her debut solo album will be released under the ALISSA banner because she wanted to "keep it simple" and "make it very clear who it is and what it is." In order to make the disc, Alissa "did a huge life overhaul," which included building a studio and investing a lot of time and money into learning how to engineer and record, program drums and improving at playing guitar. "Of course, on the album itself we're gonna have real musicians playing all of these things, but in terms of just getting the style down and the songwriting, it's something that I need to start on my own," she explained to Duke TV.

At the time of the Duke TV interview, half of Alissa's solo effort had been written, and it contained some musical surprises. "It doesn't really sound like ARCH ENEMY — it's pretty different — but I think it's pretty cool," she said. "For example, a song that I'm writing with Oliver [Palotai, keyboards] from KAMELOT doesn't sound like KAMELOT and it doesn't sound like ARCH ENEMY, but it's members of both."

Former NEVERMORE guitarist Jeff Loomis, who joined ARCH ENEMY in late 2014, didn't have any of his songwriting ideas included on the latter band's last album, "Will To Power", but will play a prominent role on Alissa's upcoming disc.

"Jeff didn't write with Michael, because Michael was already writing so well with Daniel [Erlandsson, ARCH ENEMY drummer] that we just actually had too many ideas," White-Gluz told France's Loud TV in a separate interview. "But all of Jeff's ideas are really good and I've heard them and they're gonna be released, so people will hear them… Jeff is gonna be one of my collaborators on my solo project, because how can you say no to that? [Laughs]"

ARCH ENEMY's new album, "Deceivers", is scheduled for a July 29 release via Century Media.

PHIL DEMMEL Says He Will Miss Some VIO-LENCE Shows Due To Other Touring Commitments: 'I Need To Be A Little Selfish'

PHIL DEMMEL Says He Will Miss Some VIO-LENCE Shows Due To Other Touring Commitments: 'I Need To Be A Little Selfish'

During an appearance on "Talking Bollocks", the monthly metal podcast hosted by ACID REIGN frontman-turned-stand-up-comedian Howard H. Smith, VIO-LENCE/ex-MACHINE HEAD guitarist Phil Demmel, who is currently touring the U.S. with OVERKILL as the temporary replacement for Dave Linsk, confirmed that he will be forced to miss some of VIO-LENCE's upcoming gigs due to his touring commitments with other projects. "There's some VIO-LENCE stuff coming up that I'm not gonna be able to be a part of because of choices that I'm making in my own career," he explained (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

"VIO-LENCE was a side thing that we were doing. It was understood that I'm doing other stuff and that this would happen," he continued. "They weren't looking at doing full-blown tours, so trying to schedule stuff, it gets difficult. So there will be things that I won't be doing with VIO-LENCE, which is a little heartbreaking in the sense that… I'm the only member of VIO-LENCE that hasn't missed a show. So, yeah, there's a VIO-LENCE club and there's been a lot of former members. But I never quit the band. I carried that torch the whole time and hadn't missed a show."

Demmel went on to say that "it's a selfish move" on his part "to do these other things, but at 55 years old, I need to not regret passing up something to do another thing that may or may not… It's hard to explain. So I'm apologizing in advance for, if there will be a [VIO-LENCE] show that I'm not gonna be at," he said. "But I am 55. I'm in the twilight — maybe in the twilight of my musical career. You never know when it can all… A lot of peers that are… Plenty are dying, dude; they're just gone. And at this point in my career, I need to be a little selfish. And it might be hard to fathom from other people about doing things that aren't part of what VIO-LENCE is… It's emotional and it sucks, but it is what it is. It's not like I'm missing the whole year or anything, but there will be instances when I'm not on stage with those guys, and it's gonna be weird. It is what it is."

Demmel recently filled in for LAMB OF GOD guitarist Willie Adler during the band's January appearance on the ShipRocked cruise.

VIO-LENCE has just released a new EP, "Let The World Burn", via Metal Blade Records. The five-song collection, VIO-LENCE's first original release since 1993's "Nothing To Gain", was tracked at Trident Studios in Pacheco, California by Juan Urteaga (MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS), mixed by Tue Madsen (DARK TRANQUILLITY, HEAVEN SHALL BURN) and mastered by Ted Jensen (ALICE IN CHAINS, DEATH ANGEL).

Formed in 1985, VIO-LENCE helped define and refine what came to be known as the Bay Area sound, dropping three seminal albums before splitting in 1993. Leaving behind a heady legacy, they reformed briefly a couple of times in the intervening years before becoming a full-time going concern once more in 2019. After playing a string of successful shows, the quintet started to think about new music and will deliver "Let The World Burn", showcasing their first new material in 29 years.

Filling out the band's ranks on "Let The World Burn" alongside Demmel, vocalist Sean Killian and original drummer Perry Strickland are former OVERKILL guitarist Bobby Gustafson and former FEAR FACTORY bassist Christian Olde Wolbers.

VIO-LENCE reunited soon after Demmel left MACHINE HEAD in late 2018.

Iran’s HETEROCHROME Announce From The Ashes Album; Single Streaming

Iran’s HETEROCHROME Announce From The Ashes Album; Single Streaming

Heterochrome, from Iran, has a second album coming out this year From The Ashes. Their last album Melancholia came out in 2017. The writing and production of this new offering has taken four years to complete and was recorded in multiple countries including Iran, Finland, Canada, Spain, and South Korea, while the mastering took place in Russia. Unlike the first album, this album features a lot of recorded acoustic instruments including live acoustic drums and cello. The first single is "Baraye Farda, For Tomorrow” and one of the last songs put on the album.

The band explains how it came to be:

“This track started as Arash was pondering on climate change, global warming, and the general state of danger our world and home planet is in. After writing the first verse and chorus he sent it to Mida, who instantly fell in love with it even before hearing what it meant to Arash. Mida immediately got to writing the second verse, drawing from the sociopolitical environment of Iran and letting Arash know they needed the song in the album. This is one of our favorite tracks, coming from different backgrounds, it can be interpreted differently for any individual listener.”

With a wide variety of influences ranging from progressive rock to '90s and beyond alternative and gothic scenes, Heterochrome merges Iranian social and political issues into melancholy and diverse music. “From the Ashes'' was written as a concept album, with every single track forming a small part in a bigger picture. Each track has a unique story by itself and can be enjoyed individually, but the album has been tailored with smooth transitions between them.

Eclectic and innovative, Heterochrome is recommended for fans of Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and Gojira.

IMPELLITTERI Back In The Studio – “Some Very Wild Solos On This Album”

IMPELLITTERI Back In The Studio – “Some Very Wild Solos On This Album”

Impellitteri is back in the studio recording their follow-up to 2018’s The Nature Of The Beast.

The band posts in an update:

“Hi friends, in this time of war and chaos Impellitteri are in the studio creating another metal album that takes the band and fans on a new heavy metal adventure! We definitely have some great riffs and melodies in each song as well as some very wild solos on this album!”

Impellitteri: the band who ruled an empire with their aggressive power metal, shredding guitar solos, screaming vocals, and a monstrous rhythm section now bring a highly sought after body of music to the rest of the world.

Hot on the heels of signing Lillian Axe, Global Rock Records, the new label formed by the Store For Music company, welcome Chris Impellitteri to it's roster for full Impellitteri back catalog reissues spanning the 1987 - 2009 period.

Chris Impellitteri is one of the most recognized guitarists in the hard rock / heavy metal genre, standing alongside players such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert as far as virtuosity and sheer musical ability is concerned.

The band Impellitteri have constantly delivered quality records since its first Black EP release back in 1987.

Viewers of MTV in the late '80s will remember the video for "Stand In Line" being featured prominently and the many albums that have followed, however fans of Chris in western countries have often had trouble locating the Impellitteri albums unavailable outside Asia.

This is about to change as the following catalog albums are due to be re-released on all major digital platforms, with a career spanning anthology due early 2022, followed by physical releases throughout the year:

Impellitteri (EP)
Stand In Line
Grin And Bear It
Victim Of The System (EP)
Answer To The Master
Screaming Symphony
Eye Of The Hurricane
Crunch
System X
Pedal To The Metal
Wicked Maiden

Chris stated, “For years we have rocked with fans in specific countries because they embraced our music and encouraged us to become the band we are today!

Although we have played to some massive audiences in various parts of the world, our band was unaware that our music was being embraced by so many people in other countries that we never played in or released records to. So it is with great pleasure to say we are releasing our back catalog for all those that want it globally... via Global Rock.

A few records that seem to be fan favorites are Screaming Symphony, the Impellitteri Black EP, Answer To The Master, Wicked Maiden, Stand In Line, and System X. Some of my favorite songs to play live from these records are: 'Lost In The Rain', '17th Century Chicken Pick’n', 'Wicked Maiden', 'Speed Demon', and so on...

Impellitteri has also had the honor to have two versions of the band over the years, having both Rob Rock and Graham Bonnet front the band vocally, which created two completely different sonic identities and fan bases. It's great to finally get this music released alongside our latest global releases Venom and The Nature Of The Beast."

Brian Adams of Global Rock adds: "As we are showing with our new acquisitions for Global Rock Records, our artist signings are getting stronger every month. We are delighted and proud to represent the back catalogue of Impellitteri and look forward to working with Chris with a 3 CD set Anthology planned for the spring of 2022 followed during the licence term with some special collector’s gems for all of his fans."

"Divide & Conquer" playthrough:

In his groundbreaking work with Symphony X, Romeo established himself as one of heavy metals most exciting maverick guitarists. Influenced by the likes of axe gods Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dimebag Darrell and Uli Jon Roth, he’s also steeped in the works of Beethoven, Ravel and Stravinsky. But there’s yet another side to the New Jersey axe wizard and composer, one who’s enamored of film score giants such as Bernard Herrmann, John Williams, Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer. Romeo put it all in a Cuisinart for his first musical homage to H.G. Wells, and with War Of The Worlds, Part II, he’s flipped the switch to infinity and beyond.

“The title feels a little more prophetic than usual”, he says. “Just by taking a look around at what’s going on in the world. For the most part, there’s a strong sci-fi element to the album, but on a few songs I’m kind of like, ‘Maybe the aliens can just sit this one out while we fight among ourselves…ha.’”

For WOTW2, Romeo welcomes a couple of returning players – drummer John Macaluso and bassist John “JD” DeServio – but the album marks the first time he worked with Croatian singer Dino Jelusick. “I go way back with John and JD, so they were the obvious choices, but this time I wanted to try something different with the vocals”, Romeo says. “Dino came highly recommended, and he totally nailed it! He really brought an exciting element to the music.”

Summing up the album, Romeo says, “It takes the first record deeper into the journey. It’s H.G. Wells with modern-day sci-fi, and there’s a lot of super-heavy cinematic music and, obviously, lots of guitars. Put it on and forget where you are. Let’s go somewhere else. The real world will still be here.”

SKULL FIST Share Video Trailer #3 For Upcoming Paid In Full Album

SKULL FIST Share Video Trailer #3 For Upcoming Paid In Full Album

Toronto-based heavy metal unit, Skull Fist, will release their new album, Paid In Full, on April 22 via Atomic Fire Records. A third video trailer for the album has been released. Watch three trailers below:

You can pre-order first pressings of the new album through the band here on blue vinyl (limited to 200), black vinyl (limited to 800) and CD (limited to 1000). You can also order vinyl/box set/CD from the Atomic Fire website here.

The album was recorded at Vespa Studios, and mixed by Chris Snow and Eric Rats. Harry Hess mastered the album. The band recently released this video, shot during the recording of the drums for the song, "Long Live The Fist":

Says the band in regards to "Long Live The Fist": "It's weird as balls releasing one track for a new album, you'll hear this and assume what the rest of the album sounds like, haha, this one does that sort of formula we've done on previous records, some speed metal, some heavy metal, some hard rock and some caveman riffs. I think you guys will find the record to be just slightly heavier than previous ones. But we're obviously biased, haha. Stoked on seeing how you nutters feel about it all!"

Since their leggy beginnings in 2006, dungeon keeper Zach Schottler and his ruthlessly shredding gang of reckless accomplices have released three archetypal heavy metal almanacs, eaten more dust than is good for their health, endured hardships (henceforth called shitty business partners) and propped up countless beers in countless bars in countless cities. Now, after 15 years on behalf of steel, Zach Schottler is really turning up the heat with the uniquely titled Paid In Full, a heavy metal wonder of the defiant middle-finger variety. With head held high, pockets empty and just enough gas in the tank to make it to the next show, Skull Fist have just officially won 2022. Paid In Full is heavy metal in all its glory and splendour: skillfully - unleashed - wide-legged. Written at home and recorded at Vespa Studios near Toronto, Paid In Full encompasses his sonic efforts of the past two years: tales of steel and legends from the underworld.

VOLBEAT Announce Limited Edition 15th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue Of Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil; Video Trailer

Mascot Records will release the 15th anniversary limited edition vinyl of Volbeat's second album, Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil, on May 20. A glow in the dark pressing will be available in all shops and online, while a limited number of unique marble editions will be available here.

Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil was originally released by Mascot Records in 2007 and quickly became a milestone for Volbeat, hitting the #1 spot in the Danish album charts and going on to be certified four-times Platinum in their native country and Gold in Germany. The album features several hits including “Sad Man’s Tongue,” which is still a staple of the band’s live shows (as heard on 2020’s Rewind, Replay, Rebound: Live in Deutschland and most recently on the band’s co-headline US tour with Ghost), and the fan-favourite “Radio Girl.” “The Garden’s Tale,” which features Johan Olsen from Magtens Korridorer, spent 18 weeks on the Danish singles chart, peaking at #1. Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil earned the band their first Danish Music Awards nominations in 2008 for Album of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, Band of the Year and Best Singer, as well as nominations for Best Danish Act at the MTV European Music Awards in both 2007 and 2008. Volbeat’s incendiary live show was also brought to the mainstage at festivals such as Roskilde and Wacken Open Air and found the band headlining the Metaldome Stage at Graspop as well as opening for Metallica in Arhaus, Denmark.

These new limited vinyl variants celebrate both the legacy of the album and the future that will bring countless more performances of these songs to the stage.

ALICE IN CHAINS' JERRY CANTRELL Shares Animated Video For 'Siren Song'

ALICE IN CHAINS' JERRY CANTRELL Shares Animated Video For 'Siren Song'

ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell has released a Nate Merritt-animated video for "Siren Song". The track is featured on Jerry's latest solo album, "Brighten", which came out last October.

Says Cantrell: "I had a great time working with the very talented Nate Merritt and Josh Richman on this video to bring 'Siren Song' to life through animation. Nate's imagery is beautiful and impactful, a perfect visual companion to the music that tells the story I started out with, and travels far beyond it. A true collaborative effort, great work guys."

Cantrell is preparing to hit the road in North America in support of "Brighten". The trek will kick on March 24 at the Palace Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota and make stops in major cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle and Los Angeles, to name a few.

To make this tour even more attractive for fans, Jerry recently announced special VIP event packages at each show that offer fans tiered selections of exclusive experiences. These experiences include a meet-and-greet and photo opp with Jerry, personal autographed items of your choice, premium merch items, and at the top tier, a signed official "Atone" Gibson JC Signature Acoustic guitar. The guitar includes a letter of authenticity. Packages start at $100 all the way to $5,500, which includes the Gibson guitar.

Jerry's band for the tour will consist of Tyler Bates (guitar), Greg Puciato (backing vocals), Gil Sharone (drums), George Adrian (bass), Michael Rozon (pedal steel) and Jason Achilles (keyboards). The set will include songs from "Brighten" along with favorite hits from Jerry's catalog.

"Brighten" has received praise from critics, including Kerrang!, which called it a "vivid, contemporary self-portrait of one of the most distinctive voices in hard rock. A long-overdue show of individual brilliance." Classic Rock proclaimed it "his best yet. The work of a songwriter who is happy within his life, it spans a broad arc of styles." The Sun commented: "A rich, organic album... 'Brighten' is brilliant."

"Brighten" is Jerry's first project without ALICE IN CHAINS in 19 years. Co-produced with film composer Tyler Bates and Paul Fig (longtime engineer), the LP got its beginnings just before the pandemic hit. They welcomed a dynamic cast of supporting players, including Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) on select bass tracks, Puciato contributing to backing vocals and drummers Sharone and Abe Laboriel, Jr. (Paul McCartney). Joe Barresi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) handled the mixing of "Brighten".

Jerry's new effort marks his first full-length release since "Degradation Trip", the epic solo album he made in 2002 with future METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo and FAITH NO MORE drummer Mike Bordin.

Jerry's career outside of ALICE IN CHAINS has consisted of two previous solo albums and contributions to major film soundtracks. Cantrell's first solo album, "Boggy Depot", was released in 1998, followed by his second album, the aforementioned "Degradation Trip". In addition to his solo artist work, Jerry has released music on soundtracks for several films, including "Spider-Man", "The Cable Guy", "John Wick 2", "Last Action Hero" and "The Punisher".

ALICE IN CHAINS regrouped in 2006 with William DuVall joining the band, and released its third LP with DuVall in the lineup, "Rainier Fog", in August 2018.

KISS's PAUL STANLEY Names 11 Of 'Best Lead Singers Of All Time'

KISS's PAUL STANLEY Names 11 Of 'Best Lead Singers Of All Time'

Paul Stanley has named Robert Plant, Steve Marriott and Freddie Mercury as three of the best vocalists of all time.

The KISS frontman, who turned 70 this past January, shared a list of his favorite singers in a social media post on Monday (March 14).

He wrote on Twitter: "The Best Lead Singers Of All Time?? How about 11 off the top of my head…" He then proceeded to share the following names:

01. Robert Plant (LED ZEPPELIN)

02. Steve Marriott (SMALL FACES, HUMBLE PIE)

03. Freddie Mercury (QUEEN)

04. David Ruffin (THE TEMPTATIONS)

05. Rod Stewart

06. Paul Rodgers (BAD COMPANY, FREE)

07. Janis Joplin

08. Steve Perry (JOURNEY)

09. Brad Delp (BOSTON)

10. Brian Johnson (AC/DC)

10. Lou Gramm (FOREIGNER)

11. Ann Wilson (HEART)

Stanley previously expressed his love for Plant in a 2019 interview with Dean Delray's "Let There Be Talk" podcast. Reflecting on the first time he saw LED ZEPPELIN when he was 17 in 1969 in New York, he said: "Robert Plant was singing like something from another planet. He was hitting notes effortlessly, and there was such bravado in everything they were doing. It just blew me away."

Three years ago, Stanley told The Sydney Morning Herald that Marriott was "a huge influence" on him and "was the template for a lot of what I wound up doing" during KISS's concerts. "The idea of being on stage and preaching the gospel of rock'n'roll, which is basically what he [Marriott] was doing ... that was something I aspired to," Stanley said.

KISS launched its farewell trek in January 2019 but was forced to put it on hold in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"End Of The Road" was originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021 in New York City but has since been extended to at least the end of 2022. The trek was announced in September 2018 following a KISS performance of the band's classic song "Detroit Rock City" on "America's Got Talent".

SHARON OSBOURNE To Open Up About OZZY's 'Infidelities' And Drug Abuse In 'Coming Home' Book

SHARON OSBOURNE To Open Up About OZZY's 'Infidelities' And Drug Abuse In 'Coming Home' Book

Sharon Osbourne will release the fourth installment of her autobiography in November.

The promotional material for the book, titled "Coming Home", promises to detail "some of the most hardest years she's experienced: the anguish of a broken marriage and Ozzy's infidelities, the constant spectre of drug abuse, the loss of friends and betrayal of colleagues, and her ongoing battles with mental health crises."

Two years ago, Ozzy said that he was "terrified" Sharon would leave him after she learned of his extramarital affairs six years ago.

After Ozzy's affair with celebrity hairstylist Michelle Pugh was made public in May 2016, he underwent therapy for sex addiction. Sharon and Ozzy later reconciled and they even renewed their vows.

Asked in an interview with "Good Morning Britain" if he was amazed he and Sharon were still together, Ozzy replied: "I am. I've been a bad boy at times."

Sharon added: "It's like a Shakespearean play, our love story. Ozzy's has been a right old [expletive] with women."

Pressed about whether he feared Sharon would leave him the last time he was caught cheating, Ozzy said: "Oh, absolutely. I was terrified."

Asked if he is addicted to sex, Ozzy said: "I think it's another fix. If you're a junkie, like I was, anything that alters your mind, you've gotta find it. I didn't love any of these people. I've learned a lesson."

As for how close she came to kicking Ozzy out, Sharon said: "I was just really broken in every sense.

"I said to Ozzy, 'If you ever do this to me again, I'm gonna cut your hair off or I'm gonna cut all your clothes.'"

Ozzy chimed in: "I wish I hadn't done this stupid thing that I did, and that's the truth, because you never know what you had until you've lost it. And I thought I'd lost it, big time."

Back in 2017, Sharon told the British paper The Telegraph that Ozzy wasn't cheating with just one woman. "There were six of them," she said. "Some fucking Russian teenager... then a masseuse in England... our masseuse out here in Los Angeles... and then our cook. He had women in different countries. Basically, if you're a woman giving Ozzy either a back rub or a trolley of food, God help you."

Sharon talked about how she learned of his affairs. "We were sitting on the couch watching telly; Ozzy on one couch and me on the other," she said. "And suddenly, he sends me this e-mail. 'Why did you send me this stupid e-mail?' I asked, and when Ozzy told me that he hadn't sent me anything, I grabbed his phone and said, 'Look!' And, of course, it was a message meant for one of his bloody women."

The announcement of Sharon's new book comes two weeks after Mirror reported that she and Ozzy Osbourne are leaving Los Angeles and returning to their native United Kingdom due to rising taxes in California.

The legendary heavy metal singer and his wife/manager will reportedly spend most of their time at their home Welders House, in Buckinghamshire.

Last October, Variety reported that Ozzy and Sharon had partnered with Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment for their upcoming biopic. The as-yet-untitled film, which will focus on the love story between the BLACK SABBATH frontman and his wife and manager, will be scripted by Lee Hall, who previously worked on Elton John's "Rocketman". The film is being produced by Sharon and her children Jack and Aimée Osbourne via their label Osbourne Media (which was also behind the Showtime documentary "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" and A&E's "Biography: The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne"), alongside Michele Anthony and David Blackman on behalf of Polygram Entertainment. Andrea Giannetti is overseeing development for Sony.

In 2020, Ozzy stated about the biopic: "From what I understand, it's about Sharon and I and our relationship. It's how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She's my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her."

"I hope it will be a story that everybody can relate to," Sharon said. "You don't have to be a fan of the music, because it's a story about a survivor. No matter what life throws at you, you pick yourself up and you start again. It's just an amazing story of overcoming everything that's thrown at you in your life."

Sharon added that the film will be "a lot more real" than the QUEEN biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody". "We don't want it to be squeaky, shiny clean and all of that," she said. "We're not making it for kids. It's an adult movie for adults."

Sharon's father, former music mogul Don Arden, became known as the "Al Capone of pop" and the "English Godfather" for his tough-guy business practices while overseeing the careers of acts ranging from ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA to BLACK SABBATH. Arden and his daughter became estranged in 1982 after she took over the management of Ozzy's solo career, also marrying the singer. Father and daughter were not on good terms for nearly 20 years until reconciling in 2002.

Sharon had to pay her father $1 million in a court settlement after she gained control of Ozzy's affa
