GENE SIMMONS Says KANYE WEST Is 'Out Of His Mind': 'There's Something Clinically Wrong With Him'

GENE SIMMONS Says KANYE WEST Is 'Out Of His Mind': 'There's Something Clinically Wrong With Him'

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons says that Kanye West needs to "move on" and leave his estranged wife Kim Kardashian alone to pursue her new relationship with Pete Davidson.

Earlier this month, West made headlines when he released a music video for his song "Eazy", which included scenes of him kidnapping and beheading Kim's new man. The video's lyrics read, "God saved me from that crash, just so I could beat Pete Davidson's ass."

Simmons weighed in on the Kim-Kanye drama on Thursday (March 3) when he was approached by a TMZ cameraman at Kings Road Cafe in Los Angeles. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "For the record, [Kanye's] a talented guy. There's no question about it. He's out of his mind… This is your wife, the mother of your children. It's not childish. There's something clinically wrong with him, as he's admitted."

Asked if he thinks Kim and Pete should file a restraining order against Kanye, Gene said: "You don't need to do that. Pete's a cool guy [who] takes the high road. Just ignore it. At a certain point, if everybody misbehaves, they get bitchslapped…

"It's, like, guy, you've got a roof over your head, you've got food in your tummy. You can do whatever you want. Get a hobby. That's better. Leave him alone. Move on. Love your kids. Love the mother of your kids and let her make her own decision. She's a grown-ass woman now and she doesn't need your permission."

Simmons also addressed the fact that Kanye has been hanging out with a new woman who looks a lot like Kardashian: model Chaney Jones.

"Being like that publicly, getting a Kim lookalike, it's childish," Gene said. "And it's not fair to this girl who happens to resemble Kim. Good for you. You can resemble anybody or anything, but don't be a hand puppet to somebody who's playing some kind of game.

"He needs to back off," Simmons added. "He's not a bad guy. But this is not even childish. There's something — he admitted there's something clinically wrong."

Kanye, who is now legally known by his nickname, Ye, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after being hospitalized for a psychiatric emergency in 2016.

West and Jones were spotted in public a few weeks ago, with many pointing to how similar Jones and Kardashian look. However, a source close to both parties told TMZ that they are not official, although West was reportedly "undeniably drawn" to Jones because of her appearance.

Prior to hooking up with Jones, West had a brief relationship with "Uncut Gems" actress Julia Fox. The two reportedly broke up in the middle of February, with Fox taking to social media to explain how she still has love for him, but was never in love with him.

Kim and Kanye split early last year after seven years of marriage. The two share four children, North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 4.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Bassist ROBERT DELEO's Solo Album Will Feature 'Five Different Vocalists'

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Bassist ROBERT DELEO's Solo Album Will Feature 'Five Different Vocalists'

Founding STONE TEMPLE PILOTS bassist Robert DeLeo spoke to AXS TV's "At Home And Social With" about his upcoming first-ever solo album. The 56-year-old musician said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Through this pandemic, there's been a lot of time and a lot of free time. And it gave me a chance to pick up all my acoustic instruments and kind of talk to them a little bit and see what they had to say back. And before I knew it, I had a bunch of songs together of my own — acoustic-based songs. And I had some friends of mine, who are very talented, do some vocal stuff. So I have different vocalists — about five different vocalists — through the record, and great, great, very talented people helping me out with this."

Asked if he wanted to name some of the singers that appear on the LP, DeLeo said: "I'm gonna keep that a secret right now, but I'm about 10 songs out of 12 done. And hopefully later this year [I'll be able to] present that. And I'm really excited about that. I'm playing guitar and bass, and I sang one song and kind of laid it all out on my own, using different instruments that I have. And it's been really therapeutic."

Late last month, DeLeo revealed on his Instagram that his solo album will include a guest appearance by Kara Britz, who has worked as a backing singer on NBC's "The Voice" and has backed up country artist Blake Shelton, as well as piano playing by producer, engineer and mixer Bill Appleberry and cello playing of Dave Eggar.

Among the tracks set to appear on the LP is "Anew", which can be previewed below.

Last summer, DeLeo discussed his upcoming solo album in an interview with Bass Player magazine. At the time, he stated about the set: "It's all acoustic bass, and I got a chance to sharpen up my acoustic guitar skills too. I wound up finding a guitarrón — you know, the Mexican bass? I found one that was converted to four strings and it was fretted, and it sounds unbelievable. I've reached out to people that I really wanted to write and collaborate with."

DeLeo has been discussing the possibility of releasing a solo album for at least the last two decades. Back in 2002, he said that he was "compiling a number of songs" that had not made their way on to STP records, "not because they're bad songs, [but] just because they never found a place. Though they're different from STP, they still mean a lot to me," he explained.

Just three months ago, Robert revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. He later said that "it was rather mild, like flu mild."

In November, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS scrapped the remaining shows on their tour — including an appearance at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida — after a "member" of the band's "organization" tested positive for COVID-19.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS features three original members — Robert DeLeo, guitarist Dean DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz.

Singer Jeff Gutt, a 45-year-old Michigan native who spent time in the early-2000s nu-metal act DRY CELL, among other bands, and was a contestant on "The X Factor", joined STONE TEMPLE PILOTS after beating out roughly 15,000 hopefuls during an extended search that began more than a year earlier.

Original STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland, who reunited with the group in 2010 after an eight-year hiatus but was dismissed in 2013, died in December 2015 of a drug overdose.

Chester Bennington, who joined STP in early 2013, departed nearly three years later to spend more time with his main band LINKIN PARK. Bennington committed suicide in July 2017.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS released their first all-acoustic album, titled "Perdida", in February 2020. The disc was Gutt's second with STP. His recording debut with the group was on its self-titled seventh album, which arrived in March 2018.

VOLBEAT Frontman Says Ex-SLAYER Drummer JON DETTE 'Did Very Well' Filling In For JON LARSEN

VOLBEAT Frontman Says Ex-SLAYER Drummer JON DETTE 'Did Very Well' Filling In For JON LARSEN

On this week's episode of 95.5 KLOS's "New & Approved" show, VOLBEAT frontman Michael Poulsen discussed what it was like for him and his bandmates to play several shows with former SLAYER and TESTAMENT drummer Jon Dette in late January and early February after the group's regular drummer Jon Larsen, tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It was very early on [our U.S. co-headlining] tour [with GHOST]. Suddenly Jon got hit by COVID and we had to get him out of the building and then get him into a hotel. And he was there for — I don't know — five, six [or] seven days.

"The worst thing is always to cancel shows because you really don't wanna let down the fans," Michael explained. "But at the same time, Jon is the original drummer and he played every single VOLBEAT show there's ever been. So we were, like, 'Okay, what are we gonna do? Are we gonna cancel some shows or are we going to see if we can come up with a Plan B?' And the Plan B was to see if we can come up with a drummer that could learn, like, 16 VOLBEAT songs in less than 24 hours. And Jon Dette was the guy. And we called him up and he was very excited about it. And he's a very good friend of ours for a very long time. And he always said, 'If I can ever help you guys out, just call me.' So that's what we did. And I don't know how he managed to pull it off, but he learned those 16 songs within 24 hours. And he did very well. He ended up playing three or four shows; I don't recall now."

VOLBEAT canceled its show on January 29 at Ford Idaho Center Arena in Nampa, Idaho as a result of Larsen's diagnosis.

VOLBEAT's tour with GHOST will conclude tonight (Thursday, March 3) in Anaheim, California.

VOLBEAT's "Shotgun Blues" single, which is taken from the band's latest album, "Servant Of The Mind", recently topped both the Billboard Mainstream Rock and Mediabase Active Rock charts, the Danish/American group's tenth top-charter, and cemented VOLBEAT's record for having the most No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock chart by an artist based outside of North America.

Revolver called "Servant Of The Mind" "excellent… the darkest and heaviest VOLBEAT offering yet." For the LP, the band, which consists of Michael Poulsen (guitar, vocals), Larsen, Rob Caggiano (guitars) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass), took its signature heavy metal, psychobilly and punk 'n' roll sound up a notch while showcasing Poulsen's keen ability for songwriting and storytelling. "Rarely has such a successful band sounded so ravenous," says Kerrang! magazine of the album.

"Servant Of The Mind" was written and recorded during the shutdown and quarantine necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The LP includes the "double barrel" of summer songs the band released this past June: "Wait A Minute My Girl" and "Dagen Før" (featuring Stine Bramsen), the former of which became the band's ninth number one single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

PAPA ROACH Releases Music Video For New Single 'Cut The Line'

PAPA ROACH Releases Music Video For New Single 'Cut The Line'

California rockers PAPA ROACH will release their new album, "Ego Trip", on April 8 via New Noize Records in partnership with ADA Worldwide (WMG's independent label and artist services arm).

The eleventh studio album of a career that continues to carve a fearless and singular path through a fourth decade, "Ego Trip" sees PAPA ROACH continuing to break new ground in a time when many are desperate for what they once knew. As vocalist Jacoby Shaddix explains: "Now isn't the time for comfort or conformity, but to be inspired and build something new. Something better, in order to channel something more."

The official music video for "Cut The Line", which directed by Jacoby's brother Bryson Roatch, brings the band back to the feeling of their original practice space in an intimate, smoky, in-your-face performance clip.

"Cut The Line" joins previously released singles "Stand Up", "Dying To Believe", "Kill The Noise" (which held the no. 1 position on the Mainstream Rock chart for over a month) and genre-bending banger of a single "Swerve" featuring Jason Aalon Butler (FEVER 333) and Sueco, all pulled from a 2020 writing session with the iconic rock band and a tight-knit creative team including familiar collaborators Colin "Doc" Brittain, Nick Furlong, Jason Evigan and new team members WZRD BLD and Andrew Goldstein.

An album that sprouted almost by mistake in the throes of a global lockdown, its seeds were planted when the quartet entered a COVID-secure mansion in Temecula, California in the summer of 2020. What started as an escape and an exercise in keeping the creative juices flowing, in a world that had completely ground to a halt, quickly grew into something bigger. Purposeful, provocative, and just the right side of the line between confident and cocky ("I really hope [the album title] stops a few people in their tracks," cackles Jacoby), "Ego Trip" is PAPA ROACH — completed by guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer Tony Palermo — at its boldest and most brilliant.

PAPA ROACH kicked off its North American "Kill The Noise" tour, featuring very special guests HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD and BAD WOLVES, with a sold-out show in Anaheim, California on March 1. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will make stops in the United States and Canada, marking the band's first headlining tour in three years.

In what is gearing up to be a very busy year for the band, PAPA ROACH recently announced their return to Mexico City on April 4 at Pepsi Center - a special co-headline event with SIMPLE PLAN, and opening act EMO NITE spinning eclectic nostalgic hits throughout the evening. PAPA ROACH were also part of a massive announcement for this year's Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California along with MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, FOO FIGHTERS, SLIPKNOT, KISS, BRING ME THE HORIZON, HALESTORM, EVANESCENCE and more.

GOJIRA's MARIO DUPLANTIER Releases Video For New Drum Solo, 'Movement'

GOJIRA's MARIO DUPLANTIER Releases Video For New Drum Solo, 'Movement'

GOJIRA drummer Mario Duplantier has released a video for his latest drum solo "Movement". The clip, which was directed by Anne Deguehegny, can be seen below.

In an interview with the "Behind The Vinyl" podcast, GOJIRA frontman Joseph Duplantier was asked if he ever has arguments with Mario, who is also his brother. He responded: "Sometimes, but we're pretty patient. We have anger. I wouldn't say we have anger issues, but sometimes I wonder. We respect and love each other very much. We're aware that we're dealing with a project that is very life-defining for us, and there's a lot of people around us. So we're pretty patient. Sometimes I can feel and I can tell — and he would say the same — that sometimes we just can't stand each other. For a little bit — for, like, an hour or two hours. And then we'll be, like, 'You know what? I'm outta here.' We will not start screaming, for example, if something is not happening. Maybe once a year or twice a year we'll raise our voice on each other and it's pretty nasty, but it's very short. So, yeah, we're not punching each other in the face or anything like that."

Joseph also talked about the musical chemistry and connection between him and Mario, saying: "Sometimes he starts just playing something and I'll follow him directly. And then something grows. Or we'll stop and say, 'Hey, I have this vision of something. It goes a bit like this.' And then we start… We build together. It's pretty incredible. I actually never really experienced that with anybody — making art together without being, like, 'Oh my God. What is he doing? That's not what I wanna do.' There's always a connection in something. And I'm very comfortable on the creative process, 'cause I know we're looking for the same thing — sort of. He has his world, I have my own world, of course — we're not the same… But sometimes we get together, and the common area is what defines what the band is, pretty much. So when we're in that zone, where we connect, and there's this thing where we're both… And we know — we just look at each other; we raise an eyebrow or something, and, boom. We don't need to talk. We just play, play, play."

GOJIRA's latest album, "Fortitude", entered Billboard's Top Albums chart at No. 1 last May, while also claiming the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Current Albums, Current Rock Albums and Current Hard Music Albums tallies. The release also marked a career high debut on the Billboard 200 for GOJIRA, arriving at No. 12, with several career high chart positions and Top 10 debuts in countries around the globe including: France (No. 2), United Kingdom (No. 6), Australia (No. 3), Germany (No. 8), Belgium (No. 2), Netherlands (No. 4), Denmark (No. 3), Portugal (No. 4), Finland (No. 2) and Norway (No. 10).

"Fortitude" is highlighted by the singles "Another World", "Born For One Thing", "Into The Storm", "Amazonia" and "The Chant", a slow-burning track featuring some of GOJIRA's most melodic material to date.

Furthermore, GOJIRA concluded a month-long fundraising initiative in support of the indigenous-owned NGO The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (APIB) who advocate for environmental and cultural rights of indigenous tribes in the Amazon. Working with the social good-focused digital platform Propeller, the charitable campaign raised over $300,000 through an auction and raffle of one-of-a-kind items from the band and their friends in METALLICA, TOOL, SLIPKNOT, SLAYER, Slash and more. All proceeds will be donated to APIB to support their work aiding the indigenous tribes of the Amazon who have suffered immensely — victims of deforestation, land loss, forced labor, violence, and harassment.

Recorded and produced by Joseph Duplantier at Silver Cord Studio — GOJIRA's Ridgewood, Queens, New York headquarters — and mixed by Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE), "Fortitude" is GOJIRA's first album in five years and the follow-up to 2016's Grammy-nominated LP "Magma". A collection of songs urging humanity to imagine a new world and then make it happen, "Fortitude" has been earning widespread critical praise with Rolling Stone naming it one of their best albums of April 2021 and remarking "It's all the rage of death metal mixed with the conscience of punk rock and the musicality of progressive rock." NPR hailed "Another World" as "an apocalyptic banger," and Paste called "Into The Storm" a "much-needed revolutionary anthem." Stereogum declared, "hearing this band operating at their peak is a life-affirming thing," while Revolver attested "Fortitude" "could spark a revolution."

WARRIOR SOUL's KORY CLARKE Blasts 'Republican National Cult', Says He Is 'Happy' To Be Living Outside U.S.

WARRIOR SOUL's KORY CLARKE Blasts 'Republican National Cult', Says He Is 'Happy' To Be Living Outside U.S.

In a new interview with Jeff Gaudiosi of MisplacedStraws.com, WARRIOR SOUL frontman Kory Clarke was asked if living outside of the U.S. gives him a different perspective on this country and the stuff he sings about by looking at it from the outside rather than being in it. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Yeah, I guess you could say it does. It makes me happy that I'm not there. [Laughs] But I still feel completely connected in the sense that it's such a global planet and the U.S. has got so much reach and so much influence over everything, I've gotta fight for what I believe is democracy.

"[Some] people, honestly, want to have Hitler being their guy for a president," he continued. "I guess people can vote Hitler in, if they want.

"I fight for what's right, I think. And the things we're seeing the Republican National Cult getting into now — trying to take everyone's voting rights away and trying to put Republican legislators in charge of counting votes. Dude, that stuff we have to stop; that just ends democracy, doesn't it?"

WARRIOR SOUL's new album, "Out On Bail", will arrive on March 4 via Livewire/Cargo Records UK. The LP is described in a press release as "a statement of considerable intent" from Clarke, who is "one of rock 'n' roll's most prolific, prophetic and controversial songwriters." The effort was produced by Clarke, with additional production by Dennis Post. It was mixed and mastered by Rune Buck.

WARRIOR SOUL released a trio of albums on the Geffen major label during the '90s, beginning with its classic 1990 debut, "Last Decade Dead Century".

Having initially split in 1995 following the release of "The Space Age Playboys", WARRIOR SOUL was resurrected in 2007 by Clarke, who has issued several albums since: "Destroy The War Machine" (2008), "Stiff Middle Finger" (2012), "Back On The Lash" (2017), "Rock 'N' Roll Disease" (2019), "Cocaine And Other Good Stuff" (2020) and "Out On Bail"

A PERFECT CIRCLE's BILLY HOWERDEL Releases 'Poison Flowers' Solo Single

A PERFECT CIRCLE's BILLY HOWERDEL Releases 'Poison Flowers' Solo Single

Billy Howerdel (A PERFECT CIRCLE, ASHES DIVIDE) has offered a preview of his upcoming debut album with the release of "Poison Flowers" via Alchemy Recordings/BMG.

"'Poison Flowers' began with the bass guitar part and all of the pieces flowed from there. It's a rare feeling when the process of writing blocks out all distractions," explains Howerdel of the track, which finds the acclaimed songwriter handling vocals and all instrumentation apart from Josh Freese on drums. "The upcoming songs reflect back to my earliest influences and 'Poison Flowers' leads well into the rest of the album."

In another first for the multi-platinum selling musician, Howerdel performed as a solo artist last week, appearing at #Happens Las Vegas, a music-fueled conference that brings together artists, radio programmers, label executives and streaming experts. Joining Howerdel for the inaugural outing were familiar faces: Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, DEVO, THE OFFSPRING), Danny Lohner (NINE INCH NAILS), Kaela Sinclair (M83) and Kevin Maher (FAKE SHARK).

Revolver included the forthcoming release in their most-anticipated records of 2022, saying fans should look for "expansive, ethereal rock" music. While Howerdel has been mum on details, having written one of the highest-selling debut albums for a rock band ("Mers De Noms") and numerous radio-friendly singles, the Los Angeles-based guitar player has explained that the collection began taking shape during his most recent A PERFECT CIRCLE tour, serving as a letter in musical form.

Howerdel has perhaps one of rock music's most well-rounded and interesting resumes. Growing up in West Milford, New Jersey, he spent hours listening to WLIR emanating out of Long Island, New York. Lying in bed, he would scribble down playlists and then scout out the records he loved in stores, among them THE CURE, ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, DEAD KENNEDYS and Elvis Costello. However, it was the experience of seeing PINK FLOYD at Giants Stadium that triggered his lust for finding a way to work in the music industry. Howerdel initially racked up experience in stage lighting, working for almost any band or theater production that would ask, while at the same time devoting the rest of his free time to practicing guitar. A few years of work led to a chance meeting with FISHBONE, a move west and quickly becoming a sought-after road and studio tech, working with David Bowie, GUNS N' ROSES, NINE INCH NAILS, and — oh, yeah — being roommates with TOOL's Maynard James Keenan. It was that friendship that birthed the multi-platinum alternative rock supergroup A PERFECT CIRCLE.

DEEP PURPLE Shares Video For '7 And 7 Is (German TV Rehearsal Take 1)'

DEEP PURPLE Shares Video For '7 And 7 Is (German TV Rehearsal Take 1)'

Legendary British rockers DEEP PURPLE have released "7 And 7 Is (German TV Rehearsal Take 1)". This previously unreleased version of "7 And 7 Is" was recorded by DEEP PURPLE in November 2021 during the band's promotional and press tour in Germany for its latest album, "Turning To Crime". It was during this same trip that the band filmed the music video for its version of FLEETWOOD MAC's "Oh Well".

So eager to play, members of DEEP PURPLE had their live rig pulled together and set up in a large warehouse, with cameras only being allowed in for this rendition of the track "7 And 7 Is". In truth, nobody really knows what the band played in the hours during which they were in that room, as no access was given to anybody other than their trusted sound engineer. However, this recording is a testimony of this first auspicious meeting and marks the moment where, after almost two years, the band played live again in the same room.

"Turning To Crime" came out on November 26 via earMUSIC. The LP contains DEEP PURPLE's versions of great rock classics and musical jewels — including songs originally recorded by Bob Dylan, FLEETWOOD MAC, Bob Seger, CREAM and THE YARDBIRDS — carefully chosen by each member of the band.

DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan told Classic Rock magazine that he was "totally against" the idea of releasing a new album just 15 months after the August 2020 release of "Whoosh!" "I thought that PURPLE purists, myself among them, would see something like this as criminal, metaphorically speaking, so initially I didn't like the idea at all," he said. "And then I started tapping my fingers on the desk at home, and thinking, 'Hmmm, well, what are we going to do for the next year if nothing is happening?'"

DEEP PURPLE played two gigs in Florida last month but currently has no other U.S. shows scheduled for this year.

THE TROOPS OF DOOM Feat. Ex-SEPULTURA Guitarist JAIRO 'TORMENTOR' GUEDZ: 'Altar Of Delusion' Music Video

THE TROOPS OF DOOM Feat. Ex-SEPULTURA Guitarist JAIRO 'TORMENTOR' GUEDZ: 'Altar Of Delusion' Music Video

THE TROOPS OF DOOM, the new Brazilian band featuring former SEPULTURA guitarist Jairo "Tormentor" Guedz, will release its debut album, titled "Antichrist Reborn", as a CD digipack and cassette on April 15 via Alma Mater Records, the Portuguese powerhouse label run by MOONSPELL's Fernando Ribeiro. It will be digitally made available by Blood Blast distribution. The official music video for the LP's first single, "Altar Of Delusion"Jairo: "'Altar Of Delusion' is not a track chosen by chance to be our first single to present the new album 'Antichrist Reborn' to the world. This song brings the roots of what perfectly translates who we are, our way of creating, musical inspirations and the core sound of THE TROOPS OF DOOM. Of course the whole album has a giant value to us, every song, every detail, but we really thought that 'Altar Of Delusion' was the best track to reach out our fans' ears! I hope you all enjoy every second of this single, listen to it loud and bang your heads! Get ready for much more on April 15, Holy Friday, for the album release!"

THE TROOPS OF DOOM also includes acclaimed graphic artist Marcelo Vasco on guitar, Alex Kafer (ex-NECROMANCER, EXPLICIT HATE, ENTERRO) on vocals/bass and Alexandre Oliveira (SOUTHERN BLACKLIST) on drums. The band's goal is to revisit the essence of 1980s-style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh and genuine.

Following their critically acclaimed EPs "The Rise Of Heresy" (2020) and "The Absence Of Light" (2021), which have been lauded by both the international music press and fans alike, THE TROOPS OF DOOM is finally gearing up for the release of "Antichrist Reborn".

Says Guedz: "We are very happy that we are finally about to release our debut full-length album. We already have it composed basically since 2020 but due to the pandemic, we ended up deciding to postpone its release. Now with most people vaccinated and restrictions easing, we expect 2022 to be a good year for the return of shows and touring. Fingers crossed! We're confident about it and can't wait to hit the road. The suggestive title of the album 'Antichrist Reborn' has a strong connection with the song 'Antichrist', from my time at SEPULTURA back in the days, and of course, because our sound, that's a rescue of that death metal aura from the '80s."

Ribeiro states: "I have been a fan of Brazilian extreme music, namely death metal since the late '80s. It shaped me as a musician and as a metalhead as much or maybe even more than the classic extreme metal bands from Europe and the U.S. 'Antichrist Reborn' holds the key to open the gates and unleash those demons upon us in 2022! It's just the brilliant missing link between that past and the glorious TROOPS OF DOOM future. My head is in the clouds and I am totally psyched to have this top of the chain band in my label. You won't believe how hellishly strong is this record. TROOPS OF DOOM will claim the title of best death metal album of the year!"

"Antichrist Reborn" was mixed by Swedish producer Peter Tägtgren at the iconic The Abyss Studio and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Blacklounge Studio, Sweden. Featuring very special guest musicians such as João Gordo (RATOS DE PORÃO) and Alex Camargo and Moyses Kolesne (KRISIUN), THE TROOPS OF DOOM unleash true old-school death metal in its purest form; dirty, primitive, and brutally powerful as it should be. The cover art was painted by Sergio "AlJarrinha" Oliveira, the artist behind SEPULTURA's "Bestial Devastation" original artwork.

SEPULTURA was formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, the capital city of Minas Gerais. Jairo joined the group the following year and played on the band's first two releases, 1985's "Bestial Devastation" EP and their 1986 full-length debut, "Morbid Visions". He also participated in the early songwriting sessions for 1987's "Schizophrenia".

In early 1987, Jairo quit SEPULTURA after losing interest in playing death metal and was replaced by São Paulo-based guitarist Andreas Kisser.

THE DEAD DAISIES Release 'Bustle And Flow (Live From Daisyland)'

THE DEAD DAISIES Release 'Bustle And Flow (Live From Daisyland)'

THE DEAD DAISIES have released "Bustle And Flow (Live From Daisyland)" which was recorded at the legendary Rock City music venue in Nottingham, England last year. It is the second release from THE DEAD DAISIES' "Live From Daisyland" series.

"Bustle And Flow (Live From Daisyland)" is injected with both the power and soul of Glenn Hughes's commanding vocals, attacking riffs, twin guitars and a heavy-hitting pulse of bass and drums catapult this live version of the band's chart topping single to streaming media services.

Said THE DEAD DAISIES guitarist Doug Aldrich: "Always great to play this song live. We had a blast on the U.K. tour last year and this song totally rocked the crowd. Nothing like an energetic audience to inspire us to deliver a full-on dose of rock."

The music video features footage from the 26-date "Like No Other" tour across the United States, England, and Wales and is a tribute to THE DAISIES' truly amazing fanbase. The video mixes epic live footage from the tour as well as some rare behind-the-scenes moments. The original album track video was created using unreal engine, and saw the introduction of the band's mascot Daisy and her freaky, dark traveling carnival surrounded by ravens.

In January, THE DEAD DAISIES announced the return of drummer extraordinaire Brian Tichy to the musical collective of Hughes, Aldrich and David Lowy.

Brian first joined THE DEAD DAISIES in 2013 during the U.S. "Uproar" tour and has regularly played with the band ever since, including highlights in Cuba, in Poland with an immense orchestra at the Woodstock Festival (Poland) and performed on the "Revolución" and "Make Some Noise" albums. He is also known for playing with WHITESNAKE, FOREIGNER and OZZY OSBOURNE, among others.

THE DEAD DAISIES' latest album, "Holy Ground", was released in January 2021. Recorded at La Fabrique Studios in the south of France with producer Ben Grosse, the LP is the band's first to feature Hughes, who joined the group in 2019 as its new bassist and vocalist, replacing John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE) and Marco Mendoza (THIN LIZZY).

Drummer Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY) announced his exit from THE DEAD DAISIES in January 2021, two days after the band's publicist revealed that Tommy Clufetos (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK SABBATH) would rejoin THE DEAD DAISIES when they hit the road in support of "Holy Ground". Clufetos previously toured with THE DEAD DAISIES in 2015.
