GIGAN Streaming New Single “Ultra-Violet Shimmer And Permeating Infra-sound”

GIGAN Streaming New Single “Ultra-Violet Shimmer And Permeating Infra-sound”

Progressive tech-death stalwarts, Gigan, are streaming new single from forthcoming album Anomalous Abstractigate Infinitessimus with “Ultra-Violet Shimmer And Permeating Infra-sound”. The single will be available October 11 on all digital platforms.

Anomalous Abstractigate Infinitessimus, Gigan's first album in seven years, will be released October 25 on CD, Ltd edition CD long box, vinyl, cassette, Ltd edition four-album cassette boxset, and digital formats via Willowtip Records.

Speaking to the new album, Gigan’s founding member, guitarist, sole-songwriter and lyricist; Eric Hersemann, had this to say: “Anomalous Abstractigate Infinitessimus is a perfect expression of where Gigan is as a band and where we are headed into the future. Like all Gigansongs, our emphasis is on creativity and limitless imagination, while still working within the realms of interwoven madness and colorful technicality combined with the oppressive elements of misanthropic dissonance and crushing brutality. Any fan of Gigan, or any fan of genuine metal music that is completely fearless and without pretentious delivery, is in for a mind-bending treat.”

POP EVIL Shares Cinematic 'What Remains' Music Video

POP EVIL Shares Cinematic 'What Remains' Music Video

Modern rock powerhouse POP EVIL recently returned with the utterly scorching new single "What Remains". It was produced by WAGE WAR's Cody Quistad and serves as the dawn of a new era for POP EVIL, which the band promises will be its most sonically heavy. "What Remains" currently sits Top 15 on the Mainstream Active Rock chart.

Today, the band has dropped the cinematic official music video, directed by Sam Shapiro. In the video, viewers will plunge into the dark, fragmented landscape of singer Leigh Kakaty's psyche, unraveling the thin line between self-identity and survival.

"The truest version of yourself comes from reaching within the darkest corners that you've kept hidden from the world," explains Kakaty. "It's in those shadows that you'll uncover the reasons for your transformation. I have evolved into something new. I am not who I used to be. I am what remains."

Later this month, POP EVIL will embark on the "Animal Instinct" tour, which is a co-headline run with BAD WOLVES. SIERRA PILOT and ONI will serve as support. The trek kicks off October 30 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and runs through November 30 in Lexington, Kentucky. Additional POP EVIL shows are also on deck.

Kakaty previously confirmed the new lineup, saying, "We are also proud to officially announce the newest member of the POP EVIL lineup — Blake Allison." Allison is replacing departed member Hayley Cramer on drums, joining Kakaty and fellow bandmates, guitarists Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling, and bassist Joey "Chicago" Walser.

POP EVIL first rose to international prominence with debut album "Lipstick On The Mirror", featuring RIAA-certified-gold single "100 In A 55". After Kakaty famously tore up the band's major label contract onstage, POP EVIL signed with eOne Music (now MNRK Heavy). 2011's "War Of Angels" debuted in the Top 10 of the Rock Albums chart and produced three Top 10 singles.

The band's 2013 album, "Onyx", put them in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 for the first time and boasted three consecutive No. 1 rock songs, two RIAA gold singles, and one platinum single "Torn To Pieces". POP EVIL's next release, "Up", was the No. 1 Independent Album in America and made it to No. 25 on the Billboard 200. It featured several Top 5 rock songs and a chart-topper with "Footsteps", which also went gold.

POP EVIL's 2018 self-titled set included the No. 1 hit and newly certified gold single "Waking Lions" and two other Top 10 hits. 2020's "Versatile", meanwhile, scored two No. 1 rock songs: "Breathe Again" and "Survivor". In 2023, the band released its seventh studio album "Skeletons", which spawned their eighth and ninth No. 1 singles: "Eye Of The Storm" and "Skeletons".

JERRY CANTRELL Shares Official Visualizer For 'I Want Blood' Title Track

JERRY CANTRELL Shares Official Visualizer For 'I Want Blood' Title Track

ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell has released the official visualizer for "I Want Blood", the title track of his upcoming solo album, which is due on October 18 via Double J Music. The LP, co-produced by Cantrell and Joe Barresi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MELVINS),was recorded at Barresi's JHOC Studio in Pasadena, California. The album features contributions from bass heavyweights Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) and Robert Trujillo (METALLICA),drummers Gil Sharone (TEAM SLEEP, STOLEN BABIES) and Mike Bordin (FAITH NO MORE),and backing vocals from Lola Colette and Greg Puciato (BETTER LOVERS, ex-THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN).

In a recent interview with Australia's Heavy, Cantrell was asked about his previous comment that "there's a confidence to this album". He said: "Well, I would hope that most artists would feel pretty confident about their new record. If you don't, you probably shouldn't put it out. Making an album, it's a real commitment, and it's also a real special opportunity that not everybody gets to do. So I take it really seriously. I also have a lot of fun with it, too, and enjoy the process, 'cause it's a long ride to demoing it and writing it and then recording it and then taking it out on tour. So, you're looking at a two-to-three-year commitment there. And you wanna be marching out of the studio with something you feel pretty strongly about. And I think 'I Want Blood', it's the best record I could have made at that time. And I'd stand it up against any work I've done in my career. So, I have that confidence about it, but I make music for me first, and if it satisfies me, I've been really lucky that it seems to do the same for a lot of people who've been interested in work that I've been involved in. Rock and roll's not for everybody, but it finds its people, so it's time to throw it out there and see who grabs on to it."

Regarding his remark that "I Want Blood" is completely unlike his last solo album "Brighten", Cantrell said: "Yeah, well, I mean, it's a different record. It's new songs. It was made in a different time. I've made four [solo albums] now — 'Boggy Depot', 'Degradation Trip', 'Brighten' and 'I Want Blood' — and I dare you to say any one of those records sounds like the other one. They're all supposed to be unique, and they shouldn't sound like your other records. You can count on your musical fingerprint being there, so it should sound like you. I guess what I was talking about earlier is I'm pretty lucky that I can go into a lot of different fields and zones as far as songwriting, and people seem to have followed me when I've gone to those places. And so there's a lot of turf to play around on. What you wanna do is feel like you're standing on some fresh turf when you do a record, that you've done something new, maybe you've stepped up a little bit, hopefully you're getting better at your craft, and it's another one you can throw out to everybody and share with the world. And I definitely feel that way about this record."

Last month, Jerry told Sylvia of the Las Vegas radio station KOMP 92.3 about the songwriting process for "I Want Blood": "Well, I think you have to start each record the same way. There are habits that I instilled in myself and also by being a member of ALICE. We never pulled any punches. We didn't varnish anything. We didn't sand any rough edges off — 'warts and all' was our approach. And so I kind of carry that wherever I go. But the main ethos, if you will, I guess, that I carry within and outside the band, is you have to start from an absolute zero. It doesn't matter what you did before. You did that record, you wrote those songs, so it's gotta be something completely new. And so that's kind of a daunting task, but it's necessary. 'Okay. It's a blank chalkboard, blank piece of paper, absolute zero. What am I gonna do now?' If you're starting from that and not really relying or trying to compete with your past work, it's kind of a freeing thing. You also have the experience of having made some great records and wrote some great songs and been part of some really amazing collectives of people, musicians to make those records. So, I had a pretty good group of folks together to make this one, too — Gil Sharone, Mike Bordin, Robert Trujillo, Duff McKagan, Vincent Jones, Lola Colette and Greg Puciato and Tyler Bates and Joe Barresi. And that's a pretty good group of folks right there. So, you start from a zero and you just go and see where you end up."

Cantrell's tour with BUSH concluded last month, with the North American outing wrapping up at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on September 15.

"Brighten" came out in October 2021. The LP was Jerry's first project without ALICE IN CHAINS in 19 years.

Jerry's career outside of ALICE IN CHAINS has consisted of two other solo albums and contributions to major film soundtracks. Cantrell's first solo album, "Boggy Depot", was released in 1998, followed by his second album, "Degradation Trip". In addition to his solo artist work, Jerry has released music on soundtracks for several films, including "Spider-Man", "The Cable Guy", "John Wick 2", "Last Action Hero" and "The Punisher".

ALICE IN CHAINS regrouped in 2006 with William DuVall joining the band, and released its third LP with DuVall in the lineup, "Rainier Fog", in August 2018.

GENE SIMMONS: 'I Stand By Every Word I Said' On 'Dancing With The Stars'

GENE SIMMONS: 'I Stand By Every Word I Said' On 'Dancing With The Stars'

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons says that he stands by "every word" he said when he served as a guest judge, alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, for Tuesday evening's (October 8) "Hair Metal Night" episode of "Dancing With The Stars". The episode saw the 11 pairs return to the dance floor with routines to iconic rock and roll anthems.

Instead of simply offering a critique of everyone's dance routines, Gene spent much of his time commenting on the contestants' physical appearances. At one point he said: "This is a brand-new experience for me and it's difficult to look at you and to figure out which one is more hot, hot, hot."

Gene then declared that pro dancer Witney Carson is "one of the more beautiful women on the planet" and said of actor/singer Chandler Kinney, "You've fogged up my glasses. I don't know what to tell you. You move me, not just with your gyrations and so on, but your beautiful face and how you were into the emotion of it."

On Wednesday, a DailyMail.com cameraman approached Simmons in Los Angeles and asked him about the criticism he received for his comments on "Dancing With The Stars". The KISS legend responded: "All media is clickbait. I stand by every word I said. I had a great time. The contestants were great. The show was great. Watch the show. It was a lot of fun. But media? Everybody's got something to say. Watch the show. It was a lot of fun. Everybody had a great time."

Tuesday's episode of "Dancing With The Stars" began with the opening dance to KISS's "Rock And Roll All Nite", which was choreographed by Pasha Pashkov and featured WHITESNAKE and TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA guitarist Joel Hoekstra.

The dancers competed to classic hair metal songs from the 1980s, including BON JOVI's "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love A Bad Name", AEROSMITH's "Walk This Way", WARRANT's "Cherry Pie", EUROPE's "The Final Countdown", TWISTED SISTER's "We're Not Gonna Take It", QUIET RIOT's "Cum On Feel The Noize", POISON's "Nothin' But A Good Time", WHITESNAKE's "Here I Go Again" and SCORPIONS' "Rock You Like A Hurricane".

According to Forbes, Simmons later received criticism for his comments throughout the night, with some viewers labeling him "creepy" because of his at-sometimes superficial feedback that focused largely on looks and appearances. The musician gave Phaedra Parks a five while the other judges all gave her sevens, causing the crowd to boo as Parks and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, made incredulous faces. Simmons's score was all the more confusing given the fact that he didn't give Parks any negative feedback. He told Parks and Chmerkovskiy that he was "a big fan of the bad-boy-and-the-bad girl" dynamic of their routine. Simmons also received a chorus of boos after revealing his score for Reginald VelJohnson, who danced a cha cha to "I Wanna Rock" by TWISTED SISTER with pro partner Emma Slater.

"Hey Reggie, you've got a beautiful woman right beside you who can twist it and turn it and knows how to move it and all that," Simmons told VelJohnson prior to the tallies being announced. "But I want to tell you, as a guy that's been on the stage for half a century around the world, I'm kind of a big deal, Reggie. It's all in the attitude. And you've got something in that beautiful face. They love you."

On X (formerly Twitter),one user ripped into Simmons, writing: "hey gene! just wanna remind you that this is a dancing show, NOT a beauty contest. respectfully never come back pls and thank you #DWTS". Another user wrote "phaedra getting a 5 but he gave brooks a 10… gene simmons count ur days. weird and gross comments all night #DWTS".

Some blamed "Dancing With The Stars" for inviting Simmons on the show in the first place. "You can really tell that this guest judge is racist and sexist based off the scores that he's giving!" one person wrote. "This is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting shame on you guys for having him as a judge!"

"Dancing With The Stars" airs simultaneously on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. You can watch episodes on Disney+ the next day.

HANGMAN’S CHAIR Releases New Single “2 AM Thoughts”

HANGMAN’S CHAIR Releases New Single “2 AM Thoughts”

Following A Loner album released in 2022, the French doom metal band Hangman's Chair returns today with a brand single “2 AM Thoughts” featuring Dool. The two bands will also be touring together in Europe this year.

Hangman's Chair on “2 AM Thoughts”: "The idea of collaborating with Raven Von Dorst doesn’t come from nowhere, we’ve been thinking about it since our last album. If we had to invite someone, it has to be Raven, we’ve known each other for quite a while long time now, played shows and partied together. Moreover, we share the same sensibilities. When the opportunity of touring with Dool became a reality, it was the perfect time to record a song as one to solidify our bond.

“We came with music and words, Raven came with magical haunted voices. The title of the song speaks for itself, it deals with insomnia and thoughts you can experience during those moments such as anxie

14. Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)

Fan-filmed video is available below.

The three club shows are following on the heels of the October 4 release of MÖTLEY CRÜE's "Cancelled" EP, the band's debut record with Big Machine, which features three new songs: Top 5 rock radio hit "Dogs Of War"; new single "Fight For Your Right", a cover of the BEASTIE BOYS classic "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)"; and as well as the record's title track, "Cancelled".

In addition to the special shows and EP release, a MÖTLEY CRÜE pop-up store with exclusive, band-curated merchandise opened on October 6 at the world-famous Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and remain open through October 12 from 3 p.m. PT to midnight daily.

Tying into the events on the Sunset Strip in October, MÖTLEY CRÜE is also introducing its new philanthropic endeavor, the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative, a moniker under which the band will partner with different non-profit organizations near and dear to their hearts moving forward.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's version of "Fight For Your Right" has quickly become a fan favorite since the band first debuted the song live during their secret 2023 club show at The Underworld in London, U.K. At its premiere, 450 lucky, sweat-drenched fans who came out to see a band advertised as DÖGS OF WAR got the surprise of a lifetime when MÖTLEY CRÜE took the stage with the BEASTIE BOYS classic in their set list.

The veil of speculation surrounding the DÖGS OF WAR pseudonym was finally lifted when the band released their first new single since 2019 by the "Dogs Of War" name in the spring of 2024. "Dogs Of War" subsequently became a Top 5 Rock Radio hit, accompanied by a highly acclaimed music video by director Nick DenBoer. The cutting-edge visual, which is entirely CGI-based, features the members of MÖTLEY CRÜE navigating an exhilarating post-apocalyptic world.

MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee told Bill Maher's "Club Random" podcast last year that he and his bandmates felt inspired to write a song called "Cancelled" because they were surprised it never happened to them.

"There was this article that was like, 'How did MÖTLEY CRÜE ever not get cancelled?'" he said. "And we were like, 'Fuck, we've gotta write a song about that because we didn't ever get it.' We snuck in under the whatever threshold, wherever that was, where we got away with fucking murder."

MÖTLEY CRÜE's deal with Big Machine sees the band and the label working together again after making the 2014 project "Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Mötley Crüe", which featured CRÜE tracks covered by country stars RASCAL FLATTS, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, Darius Rucker and more. Big Machine also partnered with MÖTLEY CRÜE's new guitarist John 5 for the release of his 2021 album "Sinner".

MÖTLEY CRÜE's last studio album was 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles", which was followed by a 2009 "Greatest Hits" compilation.

In 2018, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs for "The Dirt" movie, including the single "The Dirt (Est. 1981) (Feat. Machine Gun Kelly)", "Ride With The Devil", "Crash And Burn" and the band's own spin on Madonna's "Like A Virgin".

John 5 joined MÖTLEY CRÜE in the fall of 2022 as the replacement for the band's co-founding guitarist Mick Mars. Mick announced his retirement from touring with MÖTLEY CRÜE in October 2022 as a result of worsening health issues.

In a recent interview with Janne Innanfors of the Swedish radio station Rockklassiker, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx stated about the mixed response to "Dogs Of War" from the band's fans: "We like the fact that there was kind of a knee-jerk reaction, because at least people were listening. It's a very strange time now where, whether it's a news cycle or socials, everybody has turned into a critic. And I always say, they've never erected a statue of a critic. It's never happened, right? It's always the artist. But now everybody's a critic. So within a short amount of time, we get, 'We love it.' 'We hate it.' 'You're over.' 'You've reinvented yourself.' 'It sounds like 'Shout At The Devil'. 'It sucks.' And we just kind of sit there and go, 'That's cool, guys, but we didn't really ask for any input from you.' We're just artists writing music, and we're pretty cool. I'm happy with it. I like it."

During an appearance on SiriusXM Fight Nation's "Busted Open" show, Sixx discussed the musical direction of "Dogs Of War", saying: "A lot of people said it's a different sound, but I'll be honest with you, I don't necessarily agree with that. If you listen to the verses, they're very similar to a lot of stuff that we've done — that simple, grinding thing with those almost CHEAP TRICK melodies. And the riff, I mean, it could be off of 'Dr. Feelgood'. So I don't really feel like it's that different. I think what's different for people is that when we were working on the song, Tommy [Lee, CRÜE drummer] had the idea to just let the bottom fall out in the verses, which is not really what we do. We usually go for it, and [it's] really unique for Vince [Neil, CRÜE singer]."

Vince chimed in: "I don't ever sing like that. But it works in the song." He added that "Dogs Of War" "was very easy to sing."

Nikki elaborated on the CRÜE songwriting process, saying: "I think what we do together is we all kind of know each other so well, we know each other's strengths and weaknesses. And for me as a lyricist, I'm always thinking about Vince and his tempo as I write. So it's not like out of the wheelhouse, but it's nice to know each other so well, if that makes sense."

When "Dogs Of War" was first released, Neil described the track as "like old school meets new school. It's got that old-school vibe about it, but it's new music. Nikki came up with it and he sent me the music and I thought it was really cool. So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it turned into the song I think the fans are really gonna like it."

BODY COUNT Releases Music Video For Cover Of PINK FLOYD's 'Comfortably Numb' Featuring DAVID GILMOUR

BODY COUNT Releases Music Video For Cover Of PINK FLOYD's 'Comfortably Numb' Featuring DAVID GILMOUR

BODY COUNT, the metal band fronted by hip-hop legend, actor and director Ice-T, has released the official music video for its powerful rendition of "Comfortably Numb" featuring David Gilmour — a fresh take on the classic PINK FLOYD track that explores themes of detachment and introspection. Gilmour's seminal guitar work adds a haunting, authentic touch, seamlessly blending with BODY COUNT's signature intensity and Ice's profound new lyrics, making the track a fusion of rock history and raw, modern energy.

"Comfortably Numb" is taken from BODY COUNT's long-awaited album, "Merciless", which is set to drop on November 22 via Century Media.

Ice-T comments: "For me, 'Comfortably Numb' is an introspective song — it's me acknowledging that I'm older now. I'm telling the younger generation, you've got two choices: you can keep the fire burning or you can give up. It's me trying to make sense of what's happening, but also pointing out that we're all in a place where we don't have to face reality. We've got flat-screen TVs and popcorn, and we can just sit back and watch the chaos of the world like it's a TV show. It doesn't feel real until it shows up at your door. I'm a little numb, too — we all are."

Gilmour states: "BODY COUNT's version of 'Comfortably Numb' is quite radical, but the words really struck me. It astonishes me that a tune I wrote almost 50 years ago is back with this great new approach. They've made it relevant again.

"The initial contact from Ice-T was for permission to use the song, but I thought I might offer to play on it as well. I like the new lyrics. They're talking about the world we're living in now, which is quite scary.

"Ice-T and BODY COUNT played in London recently. Sadly, I couldn't make it, but if another opportunity came up to play with them, I'd jump at it."

BODY COUNT recently released the official music video for "Psychopath", its first new single since 2020's "Bum-Rush", which won a Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance". The new track, which features FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY vocalist Joe Badolato, shows Ice-T and crew on maximum killing overdrive and primed for the next chapter of the legendary Los Angeles-based band's 35-plus-year career. Longtime collaborator Will Putney (KNOCKED LOOSE, THE GHOST INSIDE) produced the song, which was released via Century Media Records.

Directed by Jay Scorsese, the "Psychopath" video pulls inspiration from fictional and real-life horrors, with references spanning from Jason Voorhees to Ted Bundy.

"Merciless" is the follow-up to "Carnivore", which was released to critical acclaim in March 2020, just a week before COVID shut the entire world down.

BODY COUNT's European "Merciless" tour kicked off on June 5 at Mystic festival in Poland and brought the band to some of the world's biggest festivals and venues, across more than a dozen countries. After returning to the States, they will perform at Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky and Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California.

For BODY COUNT, it's been a history of being both respected and feared — a barbed-wire thread that stretches back to the band's origins as a project between Ice-T and Crenshaw High friend Ernie C. Their first shot fired, the song "Body Count", was a mission statement on Ice-T's 1991 "O.G. - Original Gangster". That's the blueprint they've been running on for more than 35 years.

They touched a nerve with their first, self-titled 1991 album and its divisive track "Cop Killer", which inspired hatred, fear, and paranoia, but also inspired generations of bands to follow. What they took from growing up with BLACK SABBATH and being inspired by fellow L.A. legends like SLAYER and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES has only upped the ante for generations of homies and hardcore fans.

BODY COUNT's current line-up includes surviving O.G.s Ice-T, Ernie C. and Sean E. Sean joined by bassist Vincent Price, drummer Will "Ill Will" Dorsey, Juan "Juan Of The Dead" Garcia and backing vocalist Little Ice.

"Carnivore" continued the path of its uncompromising and critically acclaimed predecessors, "Bloodlust" and "Manslaugther", in pairing Ice-T's impassioned and socio-critical lyrics with thick guitar riffs and nods to metal and hardcore greats like SLAYER, METALLICA, PANTERA, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. Guest musicians on the LP included Amy Lee (EVANESCENCE),Dave Lombardo (ex-SLAYER),Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Riley Gale (POWER TRIP).

BODY COUNT was honored with a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, which was held in March 2021 in Los Angeles. BODY COUNT was nominated for "Bum-Rush", a track from "Carnivore".

BLACK STONE CHERRY Recruits KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's JESSE LEACH For New Version Of 'Out Of Pocket'

BLACK STONE CHERRY Recruits KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's JESSE LEACH For New Version Of 'Out Of Pocket'

Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY have released a new version of their hit song "Out Of Pocket" featuring a guest appearance by Jesse Leach from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE.

BLACK STONE CHERRY states: "We have been fans of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE since we can remember. Having Jesse be a part of one of our songs, bringing his intensity and passion, has truly made this a special moment in our sonic journey."

Leach adds: "I'd always appreciated the BLACK STONE guys as good humans and songwriters. However, when I finally saw them live, it all clicked for me. They are a great live band, and I am definitely a fan after seeing their show. Being asked to jump on this track was such an honor and a pleasure as well. It's a damn good rock and roll song."

BLACK STONE CHERRY has just completed a U.S. tour with CLUTCH and RIVAL SONS and is preparing to embark on a European headlining tour. The trek will kick off on October 29 in Berlin, Germany and make stops in Luxembourg, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the U.K., finishing on November 23 in London. AYRON JONES will provide support on the entire run, with SKILLET joining the bill for the U.K. leg.

Speaking about the tour, BLACK STONE CHERRY said: "Our beloved Cherry Heads in Europe, we have seen your comments and read all of your messages which have kept us feelin' fuzzy since the last time we saw you. With that said, it's been too damn long, and we can't wait to come back for a full headline tour in October and November!! We look forward to seeing your faces and hearing your voices! Let's goo!!"

BLACK STONE CHERRY's latest album, "Screamin' At The Sky", was released on September 29, 2023 via Mascot Records. The opus was made available in white solid vinyl, limited edition vinyl boxset, CD and digitally.

Earlier last year, BLACK STONE CHERRY released the album's lead single, "Out Of Pocket", which went on to be a crowd favorite on the band's U.K. arena shows.

The Kentucky-based band, featuring Chris Robertson (lead vocals/guitar),Ben Wells (guitar/backing vox) and John-Fred Young (drums/backing vox),are joined for the first time on an album recording by Steve Jewell Jr.. The band's fanbase will be more than familiar with Steve, as he has been touring with BLACK STONE CHERRY since 2021.

"He is just fantastic," Wells told the Richmond Register of Jewell, who had previously played guitar in the band OTIS, but was asked to switch to bass when he joined BLACK STONE CHERRY. "He has brought the musical ability of the band up an extra level. His bass playing is unreal — and you can hear it all over this record. He knocked it out of the park… He makes our sound a little grittier. He plays with a different attack. It's really great."

"Screamin' At The Sky" features all-new material written collaboratively while on tour, but when it came time to record, BLACK STONE CHERRY decided to try something it's always dreamed of doing: tracking an album at The Plaza Theater in Glasgow, Kentucky — a legendary 1020-seat venue built in 1934 that boasts meticulous acoustics.

HERMAN FRANK Is 'Sure' There Will Be A Second IRON ALLIES Album With DAVID REECE: 'I Love His Voice'

HERMAN FRANK Is 'Sure' There Will Be A Second IRON ALLIES Album With DAVID REECE: 'I Love His Voice'

In a new interview with George Dionne of KNAC.COM, former ACCEPT guitarist Herman Frank was asked about the possibility of a second album from IRON ALLIES, his collaborative project with fellow ex-ACCEPT member and David Reece (vocals). He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "We will see. I'm always working. I do have my own project, Herman Frank, and I'm writing for other people, so I'm quite sure that IRON ALLIES will have a second album, for sure. We've played on a couple of festivals — [Belgium's] Graspop [Metal Meeting] is one of the biggest festivals all in Europe — and we have been in Czech and stuff like that, in Switzerland and Germany. So I guess it was a good start. And I do love David's voice. That kind of gives a different shape, different style into rock/metal or metal/rock. It's not the typical classic metal or rock singer screaming. He's singing. He knows how to sing. And I do love his lyrics. So, yeah, for sure. I guess maybe after the [VICTORY] tour in September now — we start end of September for these 14 days — and after this tour, I do have a break for three months, mostly three months. What else should I do? I guess I start writing music."

IRON ALLIES' debut album, "Blood In Blood Out", arrived in October 2022 via AFM Records.

When "Blood In Blood Out" was first announced, Frank said in a statement: "This record cannot be compared to anything David or I have produced in our past. It's at the same time standing on its own, while sounding like it came from the one and the same mold. You could say: the two of us have sought and found each other."

Although these two exceptional musicians had known each other for a very long time, sparks really started to fly during Frank's visit to Piacenza, Italy, where the American-born Reece has been living after marrying an Italian woman.

"We hit it off right away because David — like me — is not only an old warhorse, but a total music lover," Herman said. "It's only with this unswerving passion for music that you can last as long as we have in this shark tank.

"I love David's voice, that unique blend of metal, rock and blues. Also, he's an awesome lyricist and as a U.S.-American he obviously has a much greater range of vocabulary than non-English-speaking singers."

"In a way, 'Blood In Blood Out' is the motto of IRON ALLIES," Herman explained. "This band was formed as a blood brotherhood, and no one gets out of here without shedding blood.

"Blood In Blood Out" was recorded at Horus Sound Studio in Hannover, Germany with co-producer Arne Neurand. Joining Frank and Reece on the IRON ALLIES album, which was mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward, are drummer Francesco Jovino (U.D.O., PRIMAL FEAR, VOODOO CIRCLE, JORN),bassist Malte Burkert and rhythm guitarist Mike Pesin.

Frank said: "We left nothing to chance. All positions were perfectly cast."

In October 2021, Reece discussed his collaboration with Frank in an interview with the "Heavy Metal Mayhem" radio show. He said: "The ironic thing about Herman and I, we played festivals many times and not even met each other. And here we are, part of the same band and their history. And we would miss each other by, like, two minutes. We always wanted to see each other, but something came up [and] we never really got to meet. So Herman and I started talking, and we said, 'Yeah, let's put a band together. Who do you wanna get?' We talked to [drummer] Mike Heller from FEAR FACTORY a few times, and that didn't really work out. And then I said, 'I've got Francesco Jovino, dude, on my [solo] album. This guy is a beast.' So then we got the band together."

Regarding the musical direction of IRON ALLIES, Reece said: "It's got some of those elements of old [ACCEPT circa] 'Restless And Wild'. It's got Dave's voice — [as heard on my solo albums] 'Cacophony [Of Souls]' and 'Blacklist [Utopia]'. It's ripping shit, man. I'm really excited about it."

According to Reece, part of the motivation for putting IRON ALLIES together is the negative publicity surrounding their respective departures from ACCEPT. "They badmouth him, they badmouth me, there was this back-and-forth all the time, and then [Herman] said, 'You know what? Screw it. I'm gonna call David Reece,'" David explained. "And I'd never really talked to him. He just came down to Italy and we got to actually meet face to face. We went out to a great dinner, hung out for about six hours. He was just driving around Europe, relaxing, 'cause he had just finished another VICTORY album and his solo album, so he needed a break."

David said that he was excited about the prospect of hitting the road with a seasoned veteran like Herman.

"This is a band of guys who have been around and done it all," he said. "So we're not gonna have that, 'Oh, I don't wanna go there. Do we have to get up so early?' We know what we've gotta do. We've gotta travel and we've gotta rock."

Herman joined ACCEPT in 1982 shortly before the release of the band's "Restless And Wild" album and exited the group for the first time after the arrival of 1983's "Balls To The Wall" LP.

When ACCEPT reunited for festival appearances in 2005, Herman handled second-guitar duties alongside founding axeman Wolf Hoffmann, with Stefan Schwarzmann sitting behind the kit.

Frank and Schwarzmann were involved in ACCEPT's comeback with singer Mark Tornillo and appeared on the reunited group's first three studio albums: 2010's "Blood Of The Nations", 2012's "Stalingrad" and 2014's "Blind Rage".

Four years ago, Herman told All That Shreds about his decision to exit ACCEPT in December 2014: "It was just time to leave the band. Let's put it this way: I wanted to do music the way I started to. I wanted to have my own band. I wanted my own music and just wanted to just play my own leads. Not to follow somebody's guitar. I was getting too old for it. It's fine to be a backup, but after a couple of years, it's time for a different thing."

Reece was recruited for ACCEPT's "Eat The Heat" LP in 1989 following the departure of Udo Dirkschneider. Reece's higher-pitched delivery was in sharp contrast to Dirkschneider's distinctive style, and overall, the album was a critical and commercial disappointment. Midway through the "Eat The Heat" tour, differences between the band and Reece had come to a head, leading to the altercation between the singer and bassist Peter Baltes in Chicago. By the end of 1989, ACCEPT had hung it up.

David spoke about the circumstances that led to his dispute with the bassist during an interview with Metalliluola. He explained: "Peter had told my girlfriend I was having an affair. And I asked him, 'Did you tell her?' And he said, 'Yes.' So I slapped him. That ended it. It was bad before that, the communication. Ticket sales weren't good. We were opening for W.A.S.P."

He continued: "I think they really thought that getting the American [singer] in, they were gonna break the United States. But ACCEPT aren't really huge in America, like [in Europe]. That's why they hired me — they wanted a change. And the tour was going kind of slow. We did a headline tour first in the States, [playing in the] clubs. That was good. And then we went out with W.A.S.P. and METAL CHURCH, and it was half[-filled] rooms. So they were feeling the stress of that, and the communication was bad. So it was building."

David went on to say that he is sorry for assaulting his former bandmate. "Peter and I are friends now," he said, adding that "it was a bad decision" that was made while he and the rest of the group were under "a lot of stress. Being in a band, it can be a lot of drama. He had no right to tell her, and I had no right to slap him. So, I regret it."

Classic AC/DC Album Still Debuting On Charts After 35 Years

Classic AC/DC Album Still Debuting On Charts After 35 Years

AC/DC can be considered the kings of one chart in the United Kingdom this week, reports Hugh McIntyre for Forbes. The band fills eight spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums list, laying claim to one-fifth of the entire ranking. The band usually owns several spots each frame, but this time around, their performance is especially impressive.

Five different projects from AC/DC reappear on the Official Rock & Metal Albums tally this period. Two others were already present on the list, and they continue to find space. Meanwhile, a decades-old release finally debuts on the chart, adding to the group’s growing list of wins.

Blow Up Your Video debuts on the Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking at #37, though it’s definitely not new. AC/DC released the project back in 1988, and it required several decades before it ranked among the top-selling rock and metal full-lengths in the UK.

AC/DC’s Blow Up Your Video is not entirely new to all UK-based music charts, though it’s never b

Former JOURNEY Bassist ROSS VALORY Debuts Performance Video Series With Cover Of JIMMY SMITH's "Root Down"

Former JOURNEY Bassist ROSS VALORY Debuts Performance Video Series With Cover Of JIMMY SMITH's "Root Down"

Ross Valory has just debuted a performance video series - via the original Journey bassist and songwriter’s YouTube channel - with a cover of Jimmy Smith’s “Root Down” Watch the performance below.

The series was filmed at Ross’ Northern California studio and features Valory, bass; Bobby Strickland, sax; Paul Spina, drums; Eric Levy, keyboards; and Vernon “Ice” Black, guitar, vocals. This initial video will be followed by new ones every Thursday for the next three weeks.

“Until I play out, I’m Playing In!,” Ross says when asked if he’ll be doing live shows.

Earlier this year, Valory released his debut solo album, All Of The Above (OID Music). Produced by Valory and co-produced by Eric Levy and Jacob Stowe, the nine tracks on the album represent the full maturity of Valory’s musical gifts, cutting a broad swath through the instrumental territory the music travels. He plays keyboards, guitar, and, of course, many basses in a display of cultivated virtuosity across a palette far broader than could be found in his work with Journey.

He is stepping out from behind his bass and, for the first time in his more than half-century as a professional musician, representing his vision and his compositions. The album has been accompanied by five videos so far, all directed by Michael Cotton: “Tomland” (the album’s hypnotic first single), “Wild Kingdom (with its Latin-fired intensity), and “Windmill” (defined by its Brazilian flair), his interpretation of War’s classic cruisin

ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND - Final Concert 10-28-14 Available Digitally This Month; Physical Edition Due In November

ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND - Final Concert 10-28-14 Available Digitally This Month; Physical Edition Due In November

On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, after 45 years of performing the greatest live music in rock history, the Allman Brothers Band had arrived at its final concert. The dream created by Duane Allman in 1969 had come to fruition, gone through triumph and tragedy, joy and sorrow, flourished and faltered, and ultimately persevered to reach the pinnacle of the blues/rock genre. The road had seemingly gone on forever, but, in 2014, the group decided that forever would come to an end at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

On Friday, October 25, in recognition of the 10th anniversary, fans can own a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history when Final Concert 10-28-14 is officially released via Peach Records. Remastered here with improved sound quality, Final Concert 10-28-14 will be available digitally on October 25 and as a special 3CD package with extensive 16-page booklet featuring exclusive photos and liner notes on November 22.

Pre-order/pre-save the Allman Brothers Band’s Final Concert 10-28-14 here.

“Having joined the Allman Brothers Band in 1991, I had no idea what I was getting myself into as a percussionist joining two drummers on stage,” percussionist Marc Quinones notes looking back. “Fast forward 23 years to the last show we played as the Allman Brothers Band. I feel honored to have been part of such a historical musical force that was and is the ABB. Love live the ABB!”

The Beacon was the appropriate location for the ABB to make its last stand; the Allmans had logged more appearances there than any other venue and had also set a Broadway record, with 237 consecutive sold-out shows at the venerable hall. Starting in 1989, the Allman’s annual run at the Beacon became a rite of passage in Manhattan; “March Madness,” ABB-style, marked the first sign of spring in NYC. Fans from around the globe traveled to the Upper West Side to be captivated by the group’s riveting shows. As Duane Allman once said, “We’re spreading a religion here,” and the Beacon became a musical house of worship.

Although there was still some gas in the tank, the members of the band – founders Gregg Allman (Hammond B-3 organ, piano, acoustic guitar, vocals), Jaimoe (Drums) and Butch Trucks (Drums, tympani), along with longtime cohorts Warren Haynes (Lead and slide guitar, vocals), Derek Trucks (Lead and slide guitar), Marc Quinones (Congas, percussion, vocals) and Oteil Burbridge (Bass, Vocals) – concluded it was best to go out on top.

The band wanted a set list that would be a montage of its career, one that would pay homage to the original six – Duane, Gregg, Jaimoe, Butch, Berry Oakley and Dickey Betts – while also drawing from the group’s vast catalogue. With input from everyone, Warren Haynes compiled a spectacular, three-set show. Almost 30 songs, drawn from six ABB albums, along with three strong covers that represented the musical trajectory of the group.

A gentle snippet from Duane’s composition “Little Martha,” performed by Warren and Derek, kicked off the performance; then the rolling tympani introduction to “Mountain Jam” ratcheted up the intensity, and the group never looked back. The first set found the ABB in top form, with brilliance throughout: Gregg’s growl on “Not My Cross to Bear,” Jaimoe, Butch and Marc pounding through “One Way Out,” the soaring guitar interplay of “High Cost of Low Living,” a “Blue Sky” nod to Dickey Betts, and an emotional “Soul Serenade” tease in “You Don’t Love Me.”

Set Two featured vintage ABB tunes, including a stomping “Statesboro Blues,” the poignant “Ain’t Wasting Time No More,” a scorching “The Sky is Crying,” and an ethereal “Dreams.” The band took a break before heading into an unprecedented third set, making this one of the longest shows in Allman Brothers history.

A tender “Melissa” started the final act of the Allman Brothers Band, along with a return to “Mountain Jam,” which included a segue into the appropriate “Will the Circle be Unbroken,” a song this iteration of the group had never played. Oteil’s thudding bass kicked off “Whipping Post,” and the force of the

CASANDRA'S CROSSING Feat. GEORGE LYNCH And CASANDRA CARSON: 'Closer To Heaven' Single Released

CASANDRA'S CROSSING Feat. GEORGE LYNCH And CASANDRA CARSON: 'Closer To Heaven' Single Released

CASANDRA'S CROSSING, the new musical alliance between guitar legend George Lynch and powerhouse singer Casandra Carson, has released its third single, "Closer To Heaven". The track is taken from CASANDRA'S CROSSING's debut album, "Garden Of Earthly Delights", which will arrive on October 25 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Casandra comments on "Closer To Heaven": "To me, 'Closer To Heaven' is a prayer. I likened my experience in the music industry to the story of 'Jack And The Beanstalk'. I put my faith in these magic beans (my songs),hoping they will grow to be fruitful and provide shelter and nourishment for me and my family. Of course, that comes with people thinking you're crazy, too! Ultimately, I feel that I'm on the right path, so this song was like a cry out to God for some kind of miracle to happen in my career to take me to the next level."

The musical chemistry between these two talented artists has created a magnificent modern hard rock album that showcases Lynch's trademark riffage driven by the outstanding voice of Casandra Carson, who is set to be the next rock singing sensation.

About "Garden Of Earthly Delights", Casandra adds: "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever meet, let alone collaborate with such a legend as George Lynch! It was an absolute honor and pleasure to work with him on this record. George's tracks were so cool and inspiring, it was probably some of the most fun I've ever had writing lyrics and melodies. I truly couldn't be more proud of this album, and I'm so excited to finally share it with the rest of the world."

Lynch emerged from the 1980s hard rock scene with the Los Angeles-based group DOKKEN and went on to become a world-renowned guitarist. Aside from DOKKEN, he has also enjoyed great success with LYNCH MOB, the group he founded after leaving DOKKEN.

Lynch has gone on to become a prolific music creator, continuing with LYNCH MOB, releasing solo albums, and a wealth of collaborative efforts over the decades. Those include but are not limited to, KXM with Doug Pinnick (KING'S X) and Ray Luzier (KORN),THE END MACHINE with Jeff Pilson (FOREIGNER, ex-DOKKEN),Mick Brown (ex-DOKKEN) and Girish Pradhan (GIRISH & THE CHRONICLES),SWEET & LYNCH with Michael Sweet (STRYPER),ULTRAPHONIX with Corey Glover (LIVING COLOUR),and THE BANISHMENT with Joe Haze.

Carson is best known for her work fronting the Midwestern hard rock band PARALANDRA. Founded in 2013 with a strong DIY ethic, PARALANDRA found themselves on radio charts and festival stages in no time and by 2018 had a record deal, national tours supporting the likes of SALIVA, TANTRIC and DOKKEN, and even found themselves performing aboard the Kiss Kruise. The band remains active and their most recent studio album, produced by the legendary Michael "Elvis" Beskette, came out in April of this year.

"Garden Of Earthly Delights" track listing:

01. Stranger
02. Impatient
03. Closer To Heaven
04. Ring Me Around
05. Devastatiing Times
06. Waltzing Nites
07. Just Business
08. Mind Eraser
09. Run For Your Life
10. Wicked Woman
11. Kneel Before You

When the song "Stranger" was first released in August, Carson said: "'Stranger' was a really fun one to write to. I always wanted the lyrics to match the vibe of the music, and every time I listened to George's demo, I got 'War Of The Worlds' / alien-invasion vibes. I was second-guessing myself and thought it might be kind of dumb to write a song about that, so I asked my boyfriend his opinion, and he simply said, 'Why not? Show me your ideas so far.' He actually liked what little I had, and proceeded to help me write the rest of the song that night! Little did we know, it would end up being the first single. So thank you, Jaron Gulino!"

For some folks, 2009 will be remembered as the year pop-legend Michael Jackson passed away, Quentin Tarantino released "Inglourious Basterds" or the year "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" was released. For everyone else, 2009 will be the year that California metal maestros STEEL PANTHER burst on to the music scene with their debut album "Feel The Steel". Shadows of AVENGED SEVENFOLD, Justin Hawkins of THE DARKNESS, and Scott Ian of ANTHRAX. The BBC reviewed the album upon original release stating: "Quite simply, 'Feel The Steel' is an utter feelgood masterpiece."

The 15th-anniversary edition features two tracks that were only released on the original Japanese import: "You Don't Make Me Feel Dumb" and "I Want Your Tits". The album was produced by Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, COREY TAYLOR) and sounds as timeless today as it did when originally released on June 8, 2009.

"Feel The Steel - 15th Anniversary Edition" will be released worldwide on November 15. Fans can order "Feel The Steel 15th Anniversary Edition" in various configurations at www.SteelPanther.com, including CD, vinyl, a cassette version (available via STEEL PANTHER web site only) and exclusive merch designs. Formed in 2000, STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme.

The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."

Sixteen years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.

STEEL PANTHER's sixth studio album, "On The Prowl", was released in February 2023.

In September 2022, STEEL PANTHER announced the addition of Spyder as the band's new bassist.
