Helsinki, Finland-based NWOTHM outfit, Tyrantti, have released their new single, ”Veritiikeri” (”Blood Tiger”). Raging like a wild animal, the song features Tyrantti’s trademark Judas Priest-style vocal harmonies, fast guitar licks and relentless velocity.
"'Veritiikeri' is our biggest song so far: it has a massive sound, great atmosphere and a chorus to fill a stadium with. That’s why we had to shoot the music video in a big ice hall”, frontman Nahka-Sami says and continues, ”The ice hockey rink provided a great setting, but also almost gave us hypothermia. Hopefully the result can give the listener a warmer sensation.”
Tyrantti is soon to finish the recording of their second album, due early 2021. The first single, ”Aja!”, was released to great praise in April 2020.
The music video for "Veritiikeri" was made by BrainyDay Visual. The song was recorded at Finnvox Studios and Shed Studios by Juhis Kauppinen and mastered by Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Stratovarius, Children Of Bodom).
Iceland-based rock giants, Sólstafir, have released an unboxing video for the Deluxe Wooden Box Set edition of their new album, Endless Twilight Of Codependent Love, out on November 6 via Season Of Mist. Watch the clip below, and pre-order the album here.
A quarter of a century after singer/guitarist Aðalbjörn "Addi" Tryggvason co-founded atmospheric Icelandic metal quartet Sólstafir, they continue to follow their cardinal rule – that there are no rules. For them, writing an epic 10-minute song without a traditional verse/chorus trade-off feels natural. While they have done two albums in English, he mainly sings in their native tongue and his vocals are as much an instrument as a vessel for words. Their videos equally showcase the band and their Icelandic world that they commune with.
And their music flows however it pleases. “Having been a metal band for a long time and gone through shoegaze, atmospheric black metal, and post rock, I just feel privileged being able to mix all my favorite genres and get away with it,” says Tryggvason.
In the world of Sólstafir, artists as varied as The Beatles, Kraftwerk, Darkthrone, Ennio Morricone, and Billy Corgan swirl inside their heads, and such influences seep into their musical ether.
While early Sólstafir lyrics delved into Nordic mythology and critiques of organized religion, more recent songs explore their spiritual connection with nature, and lately, mental disorders ranging from depression to alcoholism and the taboo behind men in particular discussing those things for fear of being perceived weak.
“That’s the real darkness that you can't see, but you can feel it and people around you can feel it,” explains Tryggvason. “Of course, there are serial killers and plagues and whatever through history. But in modern day life, that's the true darkness around you. People kill themselves every day, and often people close to you who have been feeling so bad.”
He says the most personal song on Endless Twilight Of Codependent Love is “Her Fall From Grace,” the lone track in English. It chronicles the pain of watching a loved one succumb to mental illness.
“It's very sad when you love someone and you see them get sick,” muses Tryggvason. “Like Layne Staley said, ‘Slow suicide is no way to go.’ But you’re just watching on the audience bench, preparing for the phone call. ‘Hey man, Johnny's dead.’ ‘All right, I knew Johnny was gonna die. I've been watching him in slow motion.’” He likens the experience to seeing a relative or parent be consumed by Alzheimer’s and turn into a different person than one remembers.
Although the band’s lyrics are predominately in Icelandic, that does not prevent outside listeners from appreciating the emotional power of their music. It has been said that many fans can feel his pain even if they do not overtly understand what he is singing about.
A beautiful moment in that regard occurred when Sólstafir played Bogota, Colombia in September 2017. It was the smallest show on their South American tour, and they presumed it would not be as lively. The 300 strong throng proved them wrong. “It felt like I was in Queen at Wembley Stadium,” Tryggvason recollects fondly. “They sang every goddamn word in Icelandic. How can you explain that?”

Legendary Deep Purple drummer, Ian Paice, has released the new video below, in which he reacts to a performance of Deep Purple's "Stormbringer" by Moscow, Russia based band, Leonid & Friends.
Warner Music [Sony Music outside Europe] will release Pink Floyd’s Delicate Sound Of Thunder on Blu-ray, DVD, 2-CD, 3-disc vinyl and deluxe 4-disc edition with bonus tracks, on November 20. A new unboxing video can be found below.
Across the various different formats, the release of Delicate Sound Of Thunder encapsulates a band at their best. Alongside the classic live album and full concert film (restored and re-edited from the original 35mm film and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound), included in The Later Years box set, all editions feature 24-page photo booklets, with the 4-disc box edition including a 40-page photo booklet, tour poster and postcards. The 3-LP 180-gram vinyl set includes 9 songs not included on the 1988 release of the album, while the 2-CD includes 8 tracks more than its original release.
In 1987, Pink Floyd made a triumphant resurgence. The legendary British band, formed in 1967, had suffered the loss of two co-founders: keyboardist / vocalist Richard Wright, who left after sessions for The Wall in 1979, and bass player and lyricist Roger Waters, who had left to go solo in 1985, soon after the 1983 album The Final Cut.
The gauntlet was thus laid down for guitarist/singer David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason, who proceeded to create the multi-platinum A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album, a global chart smash, which also saw the return of Richard Wright to the fold.
Originally released in September 1987, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason was quickly embraced by fans worldwide, who flocked to attend the live tour dates, which started within days of the album’s release. The tour played to more than 4.25 million fans over more than two years, and, as a celebration of the enduring talent and global appeal of Pink Floyd, was unsurpassed at the time.
Filmed at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum in August 1988 and directed by Wayne Isham, the 2020 release of the Grammy Award nominated Delicate Sound Of Thunder is sourced directly from over 100 cans of original 35mm negatives, painstakingly restored and transferred to 4K, and completely re-edited by Benny Trickett from the restored and upgraded footage, under the creative direction of Aubrey Powell/Hipgnosis. Similarly, the sound was completely remixed from the original multitrack tapes by longtime Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson with Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, assisted by Damon Iddins.
Pink Floyd’s stellar supporting cast for the live dates included: Jon Carin (Keyboards, Vocals), Tim Renwick (Guitars, Vocals), Guy Pratt (Bass, Vocals), Gary Wallis (Percussion), Scott Page (Saxophones, Guitar), Margret Taylor (Backing Vocals), Rachel Fury (Backing Vocals) and Durga McBroom (Backing Vocals).
Technical credits include: Film Producers: Curt Marvis and Carl Wyant; Director of Photography: Marc Reshovsky; Lighting Designer: Marc Brickman, with conceptual footage directed by Storm Thorgerson, except ‘Money’ directed by Storm Thorgerson, Barry Chattington and Peter Medak. Animation on 'Time' was by Ian Emes.
The setlist carefully balances the then-new material and Pink Floyd classics, including songs from The Dark Side Of The Moon ("Time", "On The Run", "The Great Gig In The Sky" and "Us And Them"), the anthemic title track of Wish You Were Here, The Wall's "Comfortably Numb" and a cathartic "Run Like Hell". The 2-CD version features all the songs from A Momentary Lapse Of Reason including the powerful "Learning To Fly", the lyrical "On The Turning Away", and the mesmerising "Sorrow". Other formats include a variety of songs.
As a record of the creative power of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright at their incendiary best, Pink Floyd’s Delicate Sound of Thunder is an engrossing and uplifting event, to be enjoyed by any rock music fan.

Following their first single release in August, Finnish death metallers Omnivortex have released their second song from debut album Diagrams Of Consciousness, out on November 20th via Concorde Music Company. Entitled "At The Mountains Of Madness", the band's lead guitarist Severi Saarioja comments:
"At The Mountains Of Madness' is one of the faster songs on the album; it is very straightforward and unrelenting. The middle part of the song is calm and more relaxed with different vocal melodies. From there it forms back in to a more brutal approach. Lyrically speaking, it is based on HP Lovecraft's novels, one of which the song got it's name from."
Brazilian thrashers Torture Squad are streaming the full video from the show Death, Chaos And Torture Live.
Officially launched as a live broadcast model on the Torture Squad's channel, the show that featured Vitor Rodrigues on vocals and Maurício Nogueira on guitars, as well as Castor on Bass and Amilcar Christófaro on drums, can now be seen in full for the first time on video, something that had never been made available before.
The historic show that was held at Led Slay in São Paulo, when the band played together with the German band Desaster, being released exclusively on CD and DVD by Mutilation Records.
Progressive-death metal band Isle Of The Cross have unleashed their new video "Paradigm" in support of their debut album Excelsis released this past February via Rockshots Records.
The band explains the track in further detail:
"Paradigm expresses the agony of waiting for his love to hopefully arrive in this enigmatic world he has been subjected to in the afterlife. He promises he will not cross over into eternity without her. The common theory of spirits/ghosts living in an in-between world where they have a choice to cross over or not is a common theme throughout the album and the main theme altogether of Paradigm."
Infusing a blend from the avant-garde realms of extreme, symphonic, melodic, and technical death-metal, Isle Of The Cross is led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Je Schneider.
The debut full length Excelsis is a concept release based on a tale of two lovers amidst betrayal, murder and their search to reunite in the afterlife. From the immediate and vicious thrust of the opening track 'Sacrifice', the listener is quickly catapulted into an enigmatic journey of sonic power. From the furious to the melodious opuses on the album, the listener is enveloped in a dynamic exploration until the very end. At the heart of Isle Of The Cross is the conveyance of depth, poignancy, and redemption through the endurance of tragedy.
Canada’s Sadistic Embodiment released their new album, Blood Spell this past September via CDN Records. The full-length follows the band’s three EPs Beloved Imprisonment (2019), Blodörn (2018), and Self-Titled (2018).
Featuring a behemoth of nine assaulting tracks, drummer Bryan “Newbs” Newbury is sharing with fans cam footage of his terminator approach to the kit for the band's track "Stranger".
Bryan “Newbs” Newbury has been shredding the drum kit in Western Canada since 2002 working his way up the ranks to become one of the country’s most beloved, fun, positive, and beastly, bearded metal drummers. Newbury wears his obvious influences on his sleeve, literally! Heavy names like Gene Hoglan, Neil Peart, and Vinnie Paul shape his style and love of groovy hard-hitting metal.
Among his current band Sadistic Embodiment, Newbury also drums for international touring artists Into Eternity and Untimely Demise. He also is endorsed by Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Vater Drumsticks, Remo Drum Heads, Sweet Spot Clutches, High Life Super Foods, Allmax Nutrition, Fresh Cap Mushrooms, and The Gilded Beard.
“After spitting out three EPs this last couple of years, we were really stoked and kind of nervous settling into a longer writing and recording process for Blood Spell. As per usual, we cranked out the material during bi-monthly jams, but this time we really took our time crafting the music once the main structure of the songs was built. Our sound is still exactly the same, but the listeners may hear more broad musical influences across the nine tracks. There are tracks that sound distinctively Wally and Jason and certain tracks where you really hear Bryan shine as he shows off his technical prowess.
A lot of our songs are longer than your average death metal track, and they are relatively simple in regards to guitar and lyrical work. But with longer playtimes, we were able to fit in more ambiance and guitars solos into every nook and cranny," the band adds.
Wardruna—who are widely known for their ability to transcend music genres, cultures and languages while introducing innovative and genre-creating renditions of ancient Nordic traditions and using a broad selection of both traditional and historical instruments-- have revealed the monumental music video for the title track of their upcoming fifth full-length album, Kvitravn—which translates to ‘White Raven.’ The album is set for release on January 22, 2021 via By Norse Music in the U.S. and Sony Music / Columbia Records (worldwide excl. U.S.). The album continues where their Runaljod trilogy left off in 2016 with Runaljod – Ragnarok--which charted at #1 Billboard’s World Music charts in the U.S. and Canada.
They have posted a new video clip with the following update:
"Today we launch the first episode in a documentary series about Wardruna and some of the ideas behind our upcoming album, Kvitravn. Earlier this year a team from Twin V visited Einar Selvik in Norway for a chat in his studio and some walks in the area where he lives. The first episode is called Never Climb The Rootless Tree."
“Kvitravn” was released on October 16th across all digital platforms along with the exclusive premiere of its epic music video seen below. The video for “Kvitravn” was produced by Ragnarok Films--who also recorded the video for the single “Lyfjaberg” which the band wrote, recorded and filmed earlier this year amidst the pandemic. It was filmed at several locations across Norway and Russia.
“I am very excited to finally share this song with you,” states Wardruna founder/composer Einar Selvik. “‘Kvitravn’ is a song that explores traditions of animal-guides and the symbolism and legends of sacred white animals found in Nordic and other cultures all over the world. These highly regarded ghostly creatures, whether a raven, snake, bear, moose, reindeer, elephant or lion--are in animist traditions seen as prophetic, divine messengers, and guardians representing renewal, purity and a bridge between worlds.”
He continues with details on filming the “Kvitravn” music video: “Being fully aware of how rare it is to come across white ravens, we knew from the start that this would be an ambitious and challenging task to pull off. However, fate seemed to be on our side in this and the ‘impossible’ piece of the puzzle fell into place as if gifted from the divine. The video was shot in various locations in Norway and Russia and was produced by Ragnarok Film, the same team responsible for our previous video for the song ‘Lyfjaberg.’”
Selvik recently shared that he was enlisted to work on the score for the next installment of the Assassin’s Creed® franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (out November 17). His track “Hrafnsmál – The Words of the Raven” is included on the game’s soundtrack EP Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla—Out Of The North which is out now via Lakeshore Records.
The prestigious Egil Storbekken´S Music Prize 2020–a national honorary award that was created in memory of the Norwegian musician, composer and cultural bearer Egil Storbekken was awarded to Selvik this year due to his extraordinary efforts and works with Norwegian folk music, especially the older folk instruments.
Pre-order options for Kvitravn are available via digital download here. The album is also available on CD and 180-gram 2LP gatefold vinyl (black or ltd. Edition white) here.

"I Used To Love Medusa" is a special collaboration with guitarist Jasio Kulakowski (Kobra And The Lotus, Shadowblade), co-written and recorded with Cruel Juno founder Lowell Parker on drums and Kulakowski performing all other instruments and vocals. The track was produced and mixed by Kulakowski in his studio, and mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers Mastering in Finland.

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the release of ANTHRAX's second studio LP, "Spreading The Disease", the five members of the band recently came together to record a quarantine version of the album track "Gung-Ho".
Drummer Charlie Benante uploaded the video to his YouTube channel and wrote in an accompanying message: "In honor of Our Spreading the Disease album having a Birthday, we decided to Thrash this one out. Hope ya dig it!"
Produced by ANTHRAX with Carl Canedy, the 44-minute "Spreading The Disease" marked the first ANTHRAX album to feature singer Joey Belladonna and bassist Frank Bello (joining drummer Benante and guitarists Dan Spitz and Scott Ian), and set into motion the core elements that would become the essence of ANTHRAX. In addition, the album also introduced the ANTHRAX writing partnership of Benante and Ian (that eventually evolved into Benante, Ian and Bello).
For Bello, "Spreading The Disease" was his full-on album recording baptism. Only 18 at the time, he hadn't yet fully realized his own style of playing, but over the course of the sessions, he developed it. "You can hear all of my influences on every song, Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, Geezer Butler, all of them." Bello said. He remembered that "Spreading The Disease" didn't quite come of age until later on, but it was definitely "simmering." "What we were doing was so fresh, so different — we had heavy songs with these great, melodic vocals — and eventually, people caught on and loved what we were doing. I think every song on 'Spreading The Disease' still stands up today," he said.
"Spreading The Disease" represented a turning point in rock. It came during a time when the landscape was transitioning from the "hair band scene" to a new composite of metal, punk and hardcore — thrash metal. The album was compelling and utterly fresh to the 1985 music fan with its speedy rhythms, savage riffs, blistering solos, punishing drum work and a killer melodic performance by Belladonna. Unlike the thrash bands sprouting up on the west coast that focused on speed, ANTHRAX's focus was on catchiness, hooks, and a hot and sweaty, New York mosh sensibility. And it wasn't just the music that was morphing, it was a whole new culture that was being birthed. And ANTHRAX, along with METALLICA, SLAYER and MEGADETH, was right at its nucleus.
"Spreading The Disease" contains several ANTHRAX standouts: "A.I.R.", with its great riffs and abundance of melody, "Madhouse", a testament to the band's top-notch song-writing skills that showcased their grasp of melody, and "Armed And Dangerous", a soulful ballad with its singalong chorus and spine-tingling performance by Belladonna. "Aftershock" is probably the album's punkiest song with its blistering guitar solo, and the closer, "Gung-Ho", with its out-and-out speed-kills blitzkrieg, is a superb piece of thrash metal.
"We didn't know what we were doing, but we totally knew what we were doing," said Ian. "I know that doesn't make sense, but it's where we were at, a bunch of 21-year-old kids making our major label debut on a shoestring budget with nothing but a dream and a bunch of songs that we thought killed. We were right and our dream came true. Thank you to all the fans that put this record and ANTHRAX on the map way back when and still support us today."
The 30th-anniversary edition of "Spreading The Disease" was made available in November 2015 via Universal.
GONE IS GONE, the project featuring MASTODON's Troy Sanders, AT THE DRIVE-IN's Tony Hajjar, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's Troy Van Leeuwen and guitarist-keyboardist Mike Zarin, will release its new album, "If Everything Happens For A Reason…Then Nothing Really Matters At All", on December 4 via Clouds Hill. The LP was produced by Hajjar and Van Leeuwen and is the culmination of ideas and seeds of songs that the band has been working on over the last three years. Lockdown has allowed the band to hone in on these cinematic, dark but also uplifting songs and led to them releasing a number of singles throughout 2020, ahead of this release.
Hajjar says: "I definitely had some strong ideas coming into this record. My idea was to make a record that could be played by all of us in a certain fashion or even just one of us with some electronics. I really wanted the record to live in many forms. We feel that we accomplished that… It is a record that pushed us creatively. We expressed ourselves fully without any barriers or fear of what people would think."
Sanders adds: "I feel it is our most solid and interesting release to date. As musicians, we always seek to explore new sounds and push ourselves to create unique moods and atmospheres. In our eyes and ears, we have achieved this."

GONE IS GONE's debut album, "Echolocation", entered Billboard's Heatseekers Chart at No. 3 back in January 2017.
Hailed by Clash as "a crisp, compact document, one laced with energy and sweeping songwriting," "Echolocation" was produced by the band and mixed by Ken Andrews (BECK, A PERFECT CIRCLE).
GONE IS GONE was formed by multi-instrumentalist Zarin and Hajjar, who previously collaborated on various film trailer projects for Sencit, Zarin's music production, licensing and supervision company. Together they've put together a wildly diverse sound production resume that includes trailers for the Internet-breaking television series "Stranger Things", Christopher Nolan's 2010 sci-fi thriller "Inception", multi-Emmy-winning television series "Game Of Thrones" and the Marvel Comics blockbuster film "X-Men Apocalypse", to name but a few. They brought in Troy Van Leeuwen, known for his work with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, FAILURE, A PERFECT CIRCLE, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL and SWEETHEAD, who, in turn, brought in Troy Sanders from multi-Grammy nominees MASTODON.
Season Of Ghosts vocalist / founder Sophia and guitarist Zombie Sam returned on Saturday, October 31st for yet another round of bickering. As predicted by Sophia, Sam decided to be petty for most of the stream. Enjoy.
Back in 2013, Season Of Ghosts vocalist Sophia released a cover of "Sarah's Theme" - created with bandmate Zombie Sam - from the '90s Walt Disney film Hocus Pocus. It was originally released via Soundcloud, but it is now available on most digital platforms. Check it out below.
Big Big Train recently announced the release on November 27, 2020 of Empire, a live Blu-ray film/2CD set recorded on November 2, 2019 at the Hackney Empire in London. The 12 song set runs to just under 2 hours and includes material from the English Electric, Folklore, Grimspound and Grand Tour studio albums. It was directed and edited by Tim Sidwell of Toward Infinity (who has previously worked with Marillion, Status Quo, Thunder, Magnum, Lisa Stansfield and Steps), with audio mixed by BBT’s sound engineer Rob Aubrey.
Today, the band has shared the video for "The Florentine" taken from the live set.
"When I wrote ‘The Florentine’, it was written as a song that would enable Nick to step out from behind his drum kit and join me, singing together in close harmony at the front of the stage,” David Longdon says. “BBT has several singers within the ranks and I was keen to write layered harmony vocal sections too. Here we are performing The Florentine live at the final concert of our first UK tour."
“The Florentine is yet another reason why I just love being in Big Big Train!” Nick D’Virgilio adds. “Not only did David write a beautiful vocal that allowed me to come forwards and sing alongside him, but he also wrote a cracking second half of the song that is a total blast to play drums on - the best of both worlds in my humble opinion. We all had so much fun at the gig at the Hackney Empire and everyone in the band was on fire that night.”

Stars Unhinged, featuring Bif Naked drummer Chiko Misomali has released their debut single and video, “Fall In Line”, from the forthcoming album Rise.
The lead-off album track was produced by Misomali at Rancho Relaxo Studios in Vancouver, BC. It was mixed by Doug Fury (Bif Naked, Nim Vind) at Fortissimo Sound and mastered by Jamie Sitar (D.O.A., Swollen Members, Bif Naked) at Outta Town Sound.
As with many artists facing similar travel challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the video for "Fall In Line" was filmed in two locations with Misomali, vocalist JB Mason and guitarist Mike Federici shooting in Vancouver, BC; whilst bassist Frank Cusenza shot his scenes across the country in Toronto, ON. The compiled footage was edited by frontman JB Mason.
Formed in 2018, Stars Unhinged began as a song writing project by Misomali, and quickly became a full-fledged recording act with the inclusion of Cusenza, Mason and Federici.
Each member brings a wealth of varied musical experience and influence which gives Stars Unhinged its fresh yet familiar rock ‘n’ roll sound. Though often compared to artists like Stone Sour, Sixx:A.M. and Velvet Revolver, it's their ability to creatively fuse many different elements of the genre that make them unique.
Stars Unhinged’s debut album, Rise, is scheduled for release in spring 2021. "Fall In Line" is currently available to download and stream on all music platforms.
For further details, follow Stars Unhinged on Facebook.
Joe Satriani has released the new video below, along with the following message:
"From Prague, Geoff Tyson gives us a beautiful, improvised excursion into the song 'Tumble'. Check out his mix of relaxed legato and right hand picking as works through the Lydian mode keeping funky and melodic at the same time."
"At the heart of it is my love for composing unique and moving music for the electric guitar. I love the journey as much as the end result. With this compilation of backing tracks you get to peak behind the curtain a bit and experience that journey as I built the songs in the studio. And, of course, you can play along!" - Joe Satriani
Stripped x Three features full backing tracks from the complete Shapeshifting, Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards and"Is There Love in Space? albums, a special digital compilation booklet with original liner notes and credits and it is all packaged within a replica Joe Satriani Ibanez signature guitar USB stick and custom case. Satriani on Stripped x Three: "This collection represents three albums of backing tracks released years apart from each other spanning 16 years: Is There Love In Space? from 2004, Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards from 2010, and 2020's Shapeshifting. Three remarkably different albums recorded and mixed in remarkably different locations. At the heart of it is my love for composing unique and moving music for the electric guitar. Each album project I undertake pushes me to discover new ways to write , play, produce and record. I love the journey as much as the end result. With this compilation of backing tracks you get to peak behind the curtain a bit and experience that journey as I built the songs in the studio. And, of course, you can play along!"
If you know your Canadian thrash, then you know the legendary Entropy. The band first hit the metal scene in the late '80s, and 30 years later they're still melting faces with their latest full-length Force Convergence, unleashed this past August.
Today, Entropy guitarist Dan Lauzon is sharing a lesson in shredding with his playthrough for the band's track "Ripzone".
Lauzon comments on the video: "'Ripzone' is a straight-up ripper! This was the first or second tune written for the album. For years, the working title was 'Ripper'! Right from the start, I wanted a less is more approach on this tune for leads; man I wanted to shred all over the middle parts... but knowing this was likely the lead-off track I wanted to melt faces with the crush. Pound it and snap some necks!"
"The throwback to some classic Maiden / Priest style harmonies going on in the two bridges before the lead really sets the table, so when the lead does finally come in, I feel it has way more of an impact. The two guitars layered under the lead make it feel huge. It's the first time I've harmonized a lead since the Ashen Existence album. It just made sense to me to go for it."
"Our tuning is E-flat drop D so the E is C sharp. Have fun with it – warm that right hand up first for maximum jackhammer action!"
Entropy's fourth album, Force Convergence, is a 30-minute metal rip-ride! It is a creative and fun album that flows with power, melody, aggressiveness, and meaning along with it being a story-driven cinematic sci-fi adventure.
The thrashers share the premise of the concept album: “We wanted to bring metal fans a sci-fi horror experience with the album story. The lyrical inspiration is from bands like Rush, Queensryche, Voivod, Iron Maiden, and also from films like Aliens, Predator, War Of The World’s, Independence Day, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. There is also a sprinkle of war scene themes throughout the story, like Apocalypse Now, Platoon, and Starship Troopers, mixed in for fun.”
Force Convergence is available on EntropyMetal.com (CD), Spotify, and Apple Music.
PYRAMAZE released their new and third stunning video single for the upcoming opus "Epitaph", hitting stores on 13th November, 2020.
With a chorus that'll have its listeners kneel down "Particle" is one of the most commercial tracks the band has written so far without ignoring their roots and implementing their orchestral trademarks perfectly.
IRON MASK the power metal masters from Belgium released new single – video “One Against All”.
"One Against All" embraces the Hard Rock roots of Iron Mask, delivering a song that can be seen as a tribute to bands like Dio and Rainbow. Epic! A must-listen for all Hard Rock fans!
Dushan states:
“This song has a great memorable chorus, slower vibe based on a great guitar riff, the vocal lines are very catchy , together with the bass and drums high precision and power makes this song a total hit, the kind of song you can't stop singing!
Lyrically its inspired by my youth where as teenager I was spending days and nights playing guitar for hours and when everyone told me I was just a dreamer and to get a 'real job' .Never listen anyone but yourself, this isn’t being stuborn, it is just being who you really are and ment to be.”

The official music video for AC/DC's new single, "Shot In The Dark", can be seen below. Also available is an exclusive conversation with the band and longtime video director David Mallet telling the stories behind your favorite AC/DC videos. The talk was moderated by AC/DC's creative director Josh Cheuse.
"Shot In The Dark" is the first single from AC/DC's long-awaited comeback album, "Power Up", which is due on November 13. The follow-up to 2014's "Rock Or Bust" features AC/DC's 2020 lineup of Brian Johnson (vocals), Phil Rudd (drums), Cliff Williams (bass), Angus Young (guitar) and Stevie Young (guitar).
Angus told Rolling Stone about "Shot In The Dark": "It's got that great AC/DC vibe about it, great swagger, and a good AC/DC rock and roll chant. The title is a little bit cheeky because we all like a little nip [of alcohol] in the night or a few shots in the dark. I was very glad when the record company heard it [that] they felt it was a very strong song and should be the first one that people hear."
"Power Up" was recorded over a six-week period in August and September 2018 at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver with producer Brendan O'Brien, who also worked 2008's "Black Ice" and 2014's "Rock Or Bust".
"What I like about Brendan is that he keeps you working when you're doing a project with him," Angus said. "He's talented himself. He knows his bass and his guitar and a bit of drums. And piano. He covers the spectrum for what we can do musically. It's very good because you’re working with a musician, since he can apply that musical knowledge."
Although AC/DC originally planned on releasing "Power Up" earlier this year, the pandemic forced the band to reconsider.
"We were hoping to get the album out before all this happened," Angus said. "They were getting ideas together for packaging and video promo things. And then that virus thing came along. It kind of put everyone on hold."
"Power Up" will be available in multiple configurations that will excite collectors and die-hard fans alike, including digital, CD, and deluxe versions. The limited edition, one-of-a-kind deluxe "Power Up" box is the ultimate fan package. Hit the button on the side of the box and watch the flashing neon AC/DC logo light up while the opening bars of "Shot In The Dark" blast out of the built-in speaker. The vinyl LP will be pressed on 180-gram vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket. Ever since AC/DC completed the tour cycle for its 2014 album "Rock Or Bust" four years ago — a turbulent trek that weathered the forced retirement and eventual death of co-founder Malcolm Young, plus the departures of Johnson, Rudd and Williams — fans have wondered whether sole remaining founding member Angus Young would keep the band going or decide it was time for AC/DC to pack it in.
The legendary hard rockers postponed the last ten dates of their North American tour in 2016 after doctors told Johnson he faced a total loss of hearing if he did not stop touring immediately. He was eventually replaced on the road by GUNS N' ROSES vocalist Axl Rose.
Rudd was ousted from AC/DC when he was sentenced to eight months of home detention by a New Zealand court in 2015 after pleading guilty to charges of threatening to kill and drug possession.
