«У нас, по понятным причинам, была эта странная маленькая... ну, не маленькая, но у нас произошло нечто, по поводу чего нам нужно было принять решение, и это немного отбросило нас назад по времени, потому что нам нужно было перестроиться и найти кого-то для записи басовых партий, и мы нашли того, кто, как я думал, идеально подходил нам, пока я решал, что делать... Вы знаете, кто это был? Это был Steve DiGiorgio. Вы первый, кому я об этом рассказал!
Это был хороший выбор. В то время я не думал ни о ком другом. Я думал о том, "кто же самый горячий парень, который может сыграть эти новые песни?". «Внезапная смерть Тейлора стала шоком для меня и людей, которые знали и любили его. Он был не только великолепным барабанщиком, но и яркой личностью, и его будет очень не хватать всем, кому посчастливилось жить и работать рядом с ним.
FOO FIGHTERS попросили меня сыграть на одном из их треков. Оказалось, что они хотели, чтобы я сыграл на барабанах! — на одной из песен Тейлора. Эта просьба поступила от группы с ДВУМЯ потрясающими барабанщиками! Это была невероятная сессия, которая упрочила мои отношения с Тейлором и ребятами. Позже они спросили, не хочу ли я ввести их в Зал славы рок-н-ролла. Я пел с ними в песне "Get Back". Тейлор исполнил мощную партию ударных. Я никогда не забуду тот вечер. Все это сделало известие о его смерти гораздо более печальным известием.
Спасибо, Тейлор, что разделил со мной несколько славных минут. Ты был настоящим героем рок-н-ролла и навсегда останешься в моем сердце. Да благословит Господь его семью и группу — с любовью, Paul Х»

Вокалист TESTAMENT — о сольном альбоме: «Я хочу, чтобы мне бросили вызов»Вокалист TESTAMENT Chuck Billy рассказал в подкасте "Let There Be Talk" с рок-н-ролльным комиком Дином Делреем о своём первом в истории сольном альбоме:
«Я начал говорить об этом и набирать гитаристов, чтобы они сочиняли для меня песни, чтобы записать альбом. И первое, что я им сказал: я не хочу, чтобы это был альбом TESTAMENT, я не хочу, чтобы он был тяжёлым и трэшевым. Я хочу сделать что-то, что будет напоминать старые виниловые пластинки, когда ты делаешь это с одного дубля, с мощным, чистым, сухим рок-звуком, когда ты можешь услышать каждый инструмент, где нет семплированных ударных и всего остального, когда всё это необработанное. Я хочу сделать это. Я хочу включить альбом и чтобы он звучал как старая пластинка UFO,THIN LIZZY или что-то в этом духе.
По-моему, на данный момент есть порядка шести гитаристов, с которыми я общался, которые должны были помочь мне сочинять, — от Gary Holt'а [EXODUS, SLAYER] до Mark'a Morton'a из LAMB OF GOD. Я даже пообщался с Joe Bonamassa. С самыми разными парнями. И это всегда звучало примерно так: "Просто напиши что-то, что не похоже на мой обычный репертуар". Я хочу, чтобы мне бросили вызов. Я хочу, чтобы это был рок. Я хочу, чтобы у альбома было настроение старых пластинок». 5

В ближайшее время я опубликую официальное заявление, а пока приношу всем вам свои искренние извинения и хочу выразить искреннюю благодарность и признательность всем моим поклонникам, которые поддерживают меня в это трудное время.
