Here Is A Video Tour Of GENE SIMMONS's Las Vegas Mansion

Here Is A Video Tour Of GENE SIMMONS's Las Vegas Mansion

Real estate broker Ryan Serhant has shared a 17-minute video tour of Gene Simmons's nearly 11,000-square-foot estate in Henderson, Nevada's Ascaya luxury community which is currently on the market for $13.5 million. Check it out below.

After the KISS bassist/vocalist bought the property and an adjacent half-acre lot for $10.8 million in May 2021, he planted 137 trees on the parcel. Five months after buying the Southern Nevada estate, he put it on the market in October for $14.95 million, but that price was slashed by $1.5 million on November 17. Among the improvements Simmons made to the Las Vegas house is installing all new floors and ripping up wall-to-wall carpeting in some of the rooms.

Speaking to TMZ about his decision to sell the home only five months after buying it, Gene said: "First I bought it because Mr. Biden [U.S. president Joe Biden] and Mr. Newsom [California governor Gavin Newsom] are looking to raise taxes to the point where if I work really hard to earn a legal dollar, I may get to keep 35 cents. So, California has become untenable. So I'd rather leave the money to my family and to charity and so on, so I wanted to move to Las Vegas. No income tax, no state tax, no local tax, no inheritance tax, beautiful place, great. Except for one thing — my family doesn't wanna go there. They're not gonna put up with the heat, and down the street, there's strippers and stuff like that. They don't wanna deal with any of that."

He continued: "I bought [the house] for 8.6 [million], then I bought the property next door for 2.4 [million] and planted 137 trees. So, guys, I can this for 25 or 30 million, but I'm blessed. I'd like to meet the person that's gonna wind up buying the place because I don't wanna just hand it over to some knucklehead. I want you to enjoy it and have a good life."

According to Gene, his wife and their two adult children prefer to stay at the family's other homes, an extensive portfolio which includes a modern lake house in Whistler, British Columbia, a home in Malibu and two houses in L.A. that Gene bought for the Simmons kids, Nick and Sophie.

"They're not fans of 115-degree weather," Simmons told The Wall Street Journal.

Because of KISS's touring schedule and his business travel, Gene said he never spent more than a few weeks total in Las Vegas. He went on to say that he had no regrets about selling the property so soon after the purchase, adding: "How many houses do you need anyway?"

According to TMZ, Simmons purchased a mansion in Beverly Hills, California in October for $10.5 million. The home occupies more than 7,000 square feet of living apace and an additional 1800 square feet of "sleek deck space." The sophisticated design allows for scenic views from the expansive kitchen, dining, living room, four bedrooms and five bathrooms, upstairs library/gallery space and a sliver of glass in the home theater. The home is one half solar powered, using roof panels to heat the pool and radiant heated floors.

In September, Simmons sold his Los Angeles mansion for $16 million, almost a year after he first put it on the market for $22 million. He later relisted it for $25 million after it never sold and he reportedly invested a lot of money in making improvements.

Gene bought the Los Angeles property back in October 1986 for $1,337,500.

Simmons has been very vocal about his desire to leave California for some time due to wanting a quieter lifestyle and to get away from being listed on celebrity maps or having to deal with Beverly Hills tour buses. He also said that part of the reason he and his wife listed the two-acre property in Benedict Canyon because the home had become too big for the both of them since their children had grown up.

Gene and Shannon were married in 2011 after dating since 1975.

Gene, Shannon and their kids all appeared on the reality TV series "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" from 2006 until 2012.

DAVID LEE ROTH Addresses COVID-Related Cancelations In Latest Artwork

DAVID LEE ROTH Addresses COVID-Related Cancelations In Latest Artwork

David Lee Roth has shared a brand new piece of artwork in which he apparently pokes fun at the recent cancelation of his Las Vegas residency.

As he has done before, Roth styled the image in the form of a fictional newspaper called The Daily Catastrophe. The picture of an exasperated toad appears under the headline "Due To An Abundance Of COVID!"

Earlier this month, Roth issued a brief statement after the cancelation of the remaining farewell shows he was set to play at the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay.

The 67-year-old VAN HALEN frontman had previously scrapped concerts scheduled for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and was to play a total of nine shows as he vowed to retire from performing live.

The concerts were scheduled to take place on December 31, 2021, and January 1, 5, 7 and 8 of 2022.

When asked if Roth's farewell performances will take place at a later date, he told Fox News Digital in a statement: "It's not about me anymore. When the benefits for Kentucky, Colorado, and Farm Aid kick in; Call me."

In a similarly worded statement to EW, Roth said about the cancelation of his Vegas residency: "Sometimes you win, Sometimes you lose, We got rained out.. "Covid cancelled.

"Future shows? When the benefit concerts for Colorado, Farm Aid, and hospital workers 'everywhere' come up; Call me..," he added.

In a previous statement, event organizers said the cancelations were made "due to unforeseen circumstances related to COVID and out of an abundance of caution for those working and attending the shows."

When Roth's Vegas residency was first announced, organizers promised "a changing set of 26 instantly recognizable songs, including 'Jump', 'Panama', and 'California Girls...'"

In October, the legendary VAN HALEN singer announced that he was ending his career with his Vegas shows during the first weeks of January. "I am throwing in the shoes. I'm retiring," Roth told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "These are my last shows." He added: "I'm not going to explain the statement. The explanation is in a safe."

In March 2020, Roth postponed the final six shows of his Las Vegas residency due to the coronavirus pandemic that is spreading across the globe.

Roth's last Vegas residency kicked off on January 8, 2020 with a 15-song set that included 10 VAN HALEN classics and five songs from his solo career. Backing the singer were lead guitarist Al Estrada from the VAN HALEN tribute band ERUPTION, rhythm guitarist Frankie Lindri, bassist Ryan Wheeler, keyboardist Danny Wagner and drummer Mike Mussleman.

Roth explained that he chose Vegas as the place to debut his new band because "this is where you come to celebrate and do the victory dance, whatever that means to you."

In a February 2020 interview with StarTribune, Roth openly wondered whether his first tour since VAN HALEN completed its 2015 run of shows would be the last time he would perform.

"I'm calling it 'The Last Tour'," he said at the time, "and then underneath it in parentheses: 'Unless It Isn't'. ... At my age, everything is a possible farewell tour."

"It's been a long great trip, a long great run," he continued. "But this kind of music requires the kind of energy that people in their 20s bring. You know what NFL stands for: Not For Long. It's similar in rock. I remember the days when we would stand around and say, 'Let's go have a cigarette.' And that's what we did: Four guys having one cigarette. I remember those days. They go by fast, so enjoy them while you're in them."

In February/March 2020, Roth performed as the opening act for the North American leg of KISS's "End Of The Road" farewell tour.

Roth's 2020 Vegas residency wasn't the first time he had set up shop in Sin City. Back in 1995, Roth completed a Las Vegas engagement at Bally's Hotel and Casino and another short run at MGM Grand.

DEEP PURPLE's IAN PAICE And MESHUGGAH's TOMAS HAAKE Get Ancient Fossils Named After Them

DEEP PURPLE's IAN PAICE And MESHUGGAH's TOMAS HAAKE Get Ancient Fossils Named After Them

DEEP PURPLE's Ian Paice and MESHUGGAH's Tomas Haake are the latest hard rock and heavy metal musicians to get ancient fossils named after them. Ophiopetagno Paicei and Muldaster Haakei are two fossils of extinct brittle stars retrieved from 428-million-year-old rocks from the Swedish island of Gotland.

"Analyzing fossils the size of a dust grain and delving deeply into complex evolutionary patterns can be mind-wrecking," explains Dr. Ben Thuy from the Natural History Museum Luxembourg, lead author of the study. "The music of DEEP PURPLE and MESHUGGAH really helped us blow off steam, renew inspiration and calm our minds."

As for why the drummers were specifically chosen to be honored, Prof. Mats E. Eriksson of Lund University, co-author of the study, said: "Ian Paice of DEEP PURPLE and MESHUGGAH's Tomas Haake are two of the most prolific and influential drummers of all time." Furthermore, Dr. Thuy is a metal drummer himself. "During the time our study was compiled, I recorded the drums for the upcoming album of Luxembourg-based metal band SLEEPERS' GUILT, so it was an obvious choice to honor two of my idols," he explained.

The palaeontologists also chose to honor metal artwork legend Joe Petagno.

"Joe has a history of including zoological objects in his paintings and has provided artwork for some of my previous fossil discoveries," explained Prof. Eriksson. "Naming a fossil in his honor was long overdue."

Petagno stated about his fossil: "In my wildest fantasies (and I have a lot of them) I never thought I would have a fossil named after me, and a stunning brittle star over 400 million years old. Far out — way out there. I am truly honored."

Last October, a newly discovered fossil was named after BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi. Drepanoistodus Iommii, an eel-like creature that slithered across the seas some 469 million years ago, was found near a Russian river.

Previous fossils have been named after iconic MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister and Danish heavy metal legend King Diamond.

"This allows me to combine my life-long love affairs with nature/science and music/art!" Prof. Eriksson wrote. "It doesn't get more beautiful than that in my humble opini

WARPATH To Release Disharmonic Revelations Album In March; "Parasite" Lyric Video Streaming

WARPATH To Release Disharmonic Revelations Album In March; "Parasite" Lyric Video Streaming

Germany's Warpath have released a lyric video for "Parasite", featured on the band's upcoming new album, Disharmonic Revelations, out on March 4 via Massacre Records. Watch the clip below, and pre-order the new album here.

Warpath are back with their seventh studio album, Disharmonic Revelations, a relentless world-beater of a record, and the first to feature a two-guitars-wall-of-sound attack! A much more mature songwriting approach is met by heavy riffs, relentless but precise drumming and a crystal-clear but also ultra-heavy production by Jörg Uken (Soundlodge Studio).

Towering over all this is vocalist Dirk Weiß, who seriously upped his game tremendously this time! His range is quite impressive, varying from guttural growls, through relentless screaming to harmonic singing.

Led by new recruits Roman Spinka and Claudio Illanes on guitars, the band musically "frankensteins" the primitive, yet violent Carnivore-like outbursts of its opus magnum and fan-favorite Against Everyone (1994) with modern, more sophisticated elements.

Disharmonic Revelations is a musical rollercoaster-ride in the best, yet harshest way possible. Songs like "Vision And Reality" or "MMXX" are hypnotic, slow pace stompers which are followed by crushing thrashers like "Parasite", "The Last One" or "Resurrection". Psychedelic, almost post-rock like moments unfold in "Decisions Fall" or "The Unpredictable Past", before neck-breaking, speedy blast beats disrupt the beauty of the moment... you never know what's lurking around the next corner.

Warpath 2022 is different, even heavier, meaner and darker than ever before! Brutal thrash metal meets death metal meets NY hardcore meets post-rock meets progressive meets noise/wave meets avantgarde.

Inspired by all the chaos and turmoil that was 2020 and beyond, singer and founding member Dirk "Dicker" Weiß also contributes way more than just atypical lyrics: Sarcastic, satirical sideswipes at the former USA president and conspiracy theorist are made in "The Last One"! Emotional, in music framed feelings about the world events in the past year are thematized in "MMXX" & "Disharmonic Revelations". Dealing with one's own life story in "Scars" as well as "A Part Of My Identity."

Parables ("The Unpredictable Past") and egoism ("Egos Aspire") are questioned, decisions questioned ("Decisions Fall"). Present and future ("Digitized World") shake hands with hope ("Resurrection") and a never-give-up attitude.

The CD Digipak edition includes two bonus tracks that are not featured on the limited edition vinyl LP.

PHILIP H. ANSELMO AND THE ILLEGALS Cancel European Festival Appearances Due To 'Continued Travel Uncertainty'

PHILIP H. ANSELMO AND THE ILLEGALS Cancel European Festival Appearances Due To 'Continued Travel Uncertainty'

Former PANTERA frontman Philip Anselmo and his solo band, THE ILLEGALS, have canceled their previously announced European festival appearances this summer due to "continued travel uncertainty" as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier today, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS released the following statement: "Due to the continued travel uncertainty surrounding these Covid times, PHILIP H. ANSELMO AND THE ILLEGALS will regrettably be absent from the following recently confirmed 2022 festivals: Hell Awaits, Rockstadt Extreme, Brutal Assault, Alcatraz, and Bloodstock. The band thanks their fans for their support and understanding and looks forward to returning to European soil as soon as time permits."

PHILIP H. ANSELMO AND THE ILLEGALS have spent the last couple of years performing their "A Vulgar Display Of Pantera" set, which finds Philip and his solo group celebrating the legacy of PANTERA with a set featuring select cuts from the iconic metal band's five classic albums: "Cowboys From Hell", "Vulgar Display Of Power", "Far Beyond Driven", "The Great Southern Trendkill" and "Reinventing The Steel".

PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS features Anselmo with guitarists Stephen Taylor (SUPERJOINT) and Mike DeLeon (FLESH HOARDER, BEING KILLED, ex-MOD), drummer José Manuel "Blue" Gonzalez (SUPERJOINT, WARBEAST), and bassist Derek Engemann (SCOUR, ex-CATTLE DECAPITATION). The band's most recent full-length, the critically acclaimed "Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue", was released in 2018 via Anselmo's own Housecore Records.

Speaking about the lyrical themes covered on "Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue", Anselmo told Desde El Underground TV: "I take [mental illness] really seriously. I mean, look no further than what happened to my guitar player from PANTERA for me to be very, very concerned with mental illness. So I would say for people to talk to each other, love each other and put love first. And if you put love first, things normally work out. It can't happen every time, but, hey, man… You've gotta stay tight."

Anselmo went on to say that he is not immune to the effects of mental illness. "I guess being injured — my entire career being plagued with injuries — it ends up fucking with the brain a little bit," he explained. "And there's so many different levels to it. Sometimes you can just wake up and it's [snaps fingers] like that. Sometimes it'll take a small thing to put you over and you're in a dark place. But, for me, I think, with the band I have, the good guys I have and the love that they show me, back and forth, the friendship that we have, it helps a great deal. Plus writing the music and getting to perform the stuff, it helps a lot with coping, man, and just dealing with stuff."

He added: "I always say, as a person, just like everybody else… Human beings are one step away from disaster, no matter what, so it's kind of up to the rest of us to watch each other's backs, help each other up when we're down and just make sure we don't take that one step too far."

On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott was shot and killed onstage by a troubled schizophrenic who believed that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts.

SABATON Shares Lyric Video For New Single 'Soldier Of Heaven'

SABATON Shares Lyric Video For New Single 'Soldier Of Heaven'

Swedish metallers SABATON have released the official lyric video for their new single, "Soldier Of Heaven". The track is taken from the band's tenth studio album, "The War To End All Wars", that will be released on March 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. Written and recorded during the COVID-19 global pandemic, the concept album of 11 brand-new songs once again dives deep into the atrocities, miracles, and events tied to the early 20th century's World War I. The tenth album of the Falun-based five-piece will be available in an impressive variety of exclusive formats, including CD, vinyl, and cassette, with most available in limited editions.

Between the several battlegrounds of WWI, there was no scene as hostile as the feared alpine front that involved a series of battles at the border between Austria, Hungary and Italy. High above in the alps, men would fight in the most extreme conditions to protect the borders. Today, these fights are infamously known as the so-called "White War", where many soldiers froze to death or were buried by dangerous avalanches. Their dead bodies remain under the snow until today. "Soldier Of Heaven" gives that overlooked chapter of WWI a voice, a tune and an impressive music video featuring both breathtaking special effects and the fatal beauty of this battlefield.

SABATON bassist Pär Sundström states about the song: "We already released the Christmas Truce and here comes another song which shows the diversity of the new album. In the early listening sessions of the new album this one was noted among most people as a top song and we know that this will be a powerful sing-a-long anthem on future concerts. So study the lyrics, get your ass to a show and make sure you kill corona in the process!"

"The War To End All Wars" track listing:

01. Sarajevo

02. Stormtroopers

03. Dreadnought

04. The Unkillable Soldier

05. Soldier Of Heaven

06. Hellfighters

07. Race To The Sea

08. Lady Of The Dark

09. The Valley Of Death

10. Christmas Truce

11. Versailles

In a recent interview with Canada's The Metal Voice, SABATON frontman Joakim Brodén said about the musical direction of the band's new material: "It's very much a SABATON album in that way. We've been an evolutionary band always and not a revolutionary band. There's always surprises on a SABATON album but we're never gonna flip the coin and do something totally different on every song on a new album. There's gonna be surprises on every album.

"It's always subjective," he continued. "I think it's pathetic when an artist goes, 'It's the best album we've ever made,' and they keep promoting the same tired line. I say it's up to the listener to decide that, but I know for a fact that everybody in the band, without even sitting in the same room together, because I sort of shipped out the pre-mixes to everyone, and everybody — this is the only time in our history this has happened — everybody came back with, 'Fuck. That sounds great.' Everybody is super happy with the production. We were always happy before, but it was, like, 'Maybe this, maybe that.' Now it was more like, 'Okay, yeah, I have some suggestions and ideas, but wow.' We're really happy with the sound."

SABATON is considered to be one the most important bands to emerge from the Swedish modern metal scene, having been honored with five Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards (including "Best Live Band" three different years) and nominated several times for the Swedish equivalent of the Grammy Awards, the Grammis. In 2016, SABATON's "The Last Stand" album debuted at No. 1 in three different European countries and cracked the Top 3 in four others. Joakim Brodén (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland (guitar), Hannes Van Dahl (drums) and Tommy Johansson (guitar) curate a festival of their own, Sabaton Open Air, that started back in 2008, as well as their own forward-thinking Sabaton Cruise which has been held since 2009.

SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA To Release Cover Of SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES Classic "Cities In Dust"

SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA To Release Cover Of SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES Classic "Cities In Dust"

Former Cradle of Filth backing vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva, who now fronts Torn Between Two Worlds, has revealed she is gearing up to release a cover of the Siouxsie And The Banshees classic "Cities In Dust".A release date will be revealed soon.

Torn Between Two Worlds, featuring former Angtoria bandmates Sarah Jezebel Deva and Chris Rehn, will release a new single titled "Transparent" on January 14th. Sarah has opened up about writing the song.

Sarah: "This song was a bit of a challenge for me as this song is totally from scratch. It wasn’t written a few years ago like 'The Beauty Of Deception' was. 'All Eyes On Me' was also written a few years ago, but 80% of the lyrics lost, re-written and rearranged and the vocals recorded at my home, and “Hello” being a cover song (Adele). This is the first song lyric-wise that I have written in almost 10 years, I think, and when Chris sent me the music, I found it so difficult getting everything together. I recorded half a track and Chris and I just weren’t feeling it, so we took a big step back for a few months and let everything digest, because you can’t rush a song if you want people to believe in your music. Chris Rehn is a mindblowing composer and takes much pride in his arrangements, and for me, as silly as it sounds, I want him to be proud of the song and me. I can’t stress enough how its him that should be praised to high heaven, not me.

The song is based on fame and ego, people who take everything and everyone for granted, and takes pleasure in destroying everything and people, only to make themselves feel better. They love to take credit for absolutely everything, whilst others work their arses off, put their heart and soul into everything. Self destructive, compulsive liars who believes you are where you are today because of them. Surrounded by many for the wrong reasons, yet doesn’t actually doesn’t have much."

"Transparent" is now available for pre-order here.

Sarah recently posted the following message:

"There are two people in this world that make me so proud and reduce me to tears on a regular basis.... my beautiful son and.... Chris Rehn.

If Chris and I had started Torn Between Two Worlds 10 years ago, maybe I wouldn't have lost so much faith in the music scene. I am so proud of 'Hello', so proud that yet again, I was reduced to tears, but proud tears. We love what we have done with it and yet again I can't praise Chris Rehn enough for his composing and vision.

I also wished my dad was still alive to hear this, he would have been so proud.

It's extremely likely we will do an EP..... for you..... and for us!

None of this would have been possible without your support and of course so many close friends pushing us. Thank you."

SPIRITS OF FIRE Feat. CHRIS CAFFERY, FABIO LIONE, STEVE DI GIORGIO And MARK ZONDER Premier "Into The Mirror" Music Video

SPIRITS OF FIRE Feat. CHRIS CAFFERY, FABIO LIONE, STEVE DI GIORGIO And MARK ZONDER Premier "Into The Mirror" Music Video

Heavy metallers, Spirits Of Fire, recently announced their return with new vocalist Fabio Lione (Angra, ex-Rhapsody Of Fire), who joins original members Chris Caffery, Steve DiGiorgio, and Mark Zonder on their second album, Embrace The Unknown. The album will land on February 18.

Produced by Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel, Sweet Oblivion), Embrace The Unknown sees Spirits Of Fire picking up where they left off on their debut, with Caffery's skillful songwriting and fiery fretwork leading the charge.

A new single and video, "Into The Mirror" is out today. Watch the video below, and pre-order/save Embrace The Unknown on CD/LP/Digital here.

Heavy metal supergroup Spirits of Fire first formed in 2017, released their first single in late 2018, and unleashed their debut album in February 2019. Originally formed by Chris Caffery (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Death, etc.), Mark Zonder (ex-Fates Warning, Warlord) and Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest), the band's self-titled debut was met with fan and critical praise upon its release. As it approaches two years since the release of their debut, Spirits of Fire are now set to return with a new album, Embrace The Unknown that sees renowned Italian metal vocalist Fabio Lione taking over frontman duties for the band. Production this time comes courtesy of Aldo Lonobile, whose recent work on releases by Archon Angel featuring Zak Stevens, Sweet Oblivion featuring Geoff Tate, and his own band, Secret Sphere, makes him the perfect fit for the band.

Once again, the band worked on a set of songs that were primarily put together by Caffery, with Lione and Lonobile adding their own touches to Caffery's stellar songs. The final result sees a killer musical output that continues in the vein of “classic Priest meets Savatage” sound that the band has pursued since their formation. With Caffery's renowned guitar playing, the undeniable power of the rhythm section of Di Giorgio and Zonder, and the world class vocals of Lione, Embrace The Unknown sees Spirits Of Fire pushing their sonic stamp further and further. From the biting riffage of the charging "Embrace The Unknown", the band is firing on all cylinders and prepared to appease the heavy metal gods.

Spirits Of Fire are built to deliver classic in-your-face heavy metal and they have accomplished that goal on every level on Embrace The Unknown. From Lione's soaring vocals, to Caffery’s guitar pyrotechnics, to the propulsive and crushing rhythms of Di Giorgio and Zonder, the performances are stellar from beginning to end. There is no shortage of memorable, metal hymns to raise your fist and bang your head to on this all killer, no filler metal journey.

KRAEMER Debut "All The Way" Lyric Video

KRAEMER Debut "All The Way" Lyric Video

Frontiers Music Srl recently announced the release of All The Way, the debut album from Kraemer, on January 28. Kraemer is a new musical collaboration that sees Finnish vocalist Erik Kraemer (Simulacrum) applying his vocals to melodic hard rock songs in the style of the classic Scandinavian school of the genre.

The musicians playing with vocalist Erik Kraemer on All The Way include Alessandro Del Vecchio on bass, keyboards, and background vocals, Andrea Seveso (Robin McAuley) on guitars and Michele Sanna (Brother Against Brother) on drums. With a set of songs written by Del Vecchio, Marco Sivo, Pete Alpenborg (ex-Arctic Rain), Kristian Fyhr (Seventh Crystal), Jan Akesson (Infinite & Divine), Ulrick Lönnqvist, Fabio Dessi, and Carmine Martone, and outstanding production from the always in demand Del Vecchio, this record showcases the talents of one of the hottest up-and-coming vocalists of the European scene and will be an absolute delight for the ears of all melodic music lovers.

Erik Kraemer is a singer and performer who has years of experience touring in his homeland of Finland with different bands and has also starred in various musical productions. He is also known for being one of the singers of Finnish progressive metallers Simulacrum. Additionally, he has collaborated with Timo Tolkki (Timo Tolkki's Avalon, ex-Stratovarius) on the guitarist's Infinite Visions project and more recently on the Circus Of Rock project masterminded by Finnish drummer Mirka Rantanen (Raskasta Joulua, King Company).

Erik's musical adventure started at the age of eight when his mother started taking him to choir practices at the Turku Cathedral. At the same time, he also started piano lessons. All together, he sang for ten years in the choir and played piano for nine years. Classical music didn't appeal to him much though and he started listening to hard rock and heavy metal. Later, Erik graduated from the Turku University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Social Services degree in 2013 and as a musician from the Turku Conservatory in 2016. He has acted in many theatre productions and perhaps his most known role is the interpretation of legendary Finnish singer Rauli Badding Somerjoki.

INDUCTION Signs To Atomic Fire Records; New Band Lineup Revealed

INDUCTION Signs To Atomic Fire Records; New Band Lineup Revealed

Progressive power metal with symphonic influences creating an epic and heroic atmosphere topped with catchy, soaring vocals, melodic solos, thunderous drums, and massive orchestration (crafted by Peter Crowley): that's how the soundscapes of international outfit Induction could best be described.

Originally founded in 2014, the band left their first mark with first single, “The Outwitted Consecration” (2016) before officially entering the metal world with their self-titled debut album in 2019. Its enormously positive reception paved the way to touring across Europe alongside Brazilian power metallers Armored Dawn in November of the same year. It was a notable career start for the quintet that was unfortunately halted by the still-ongoing pandemic ultimately leading to a break (at least on the live front) that was to work on their sophomore album and renew their power. Atomic Fire Records is pleased to welcome Induction and their new lineup -- vocalist Craig Cairns (ex-Midnight Prophecy), guitarists Tim Kanoa Hansen and Marcos Rodriguez (ex-Rage), bassist Dominik Gusch, and drummer Kian Kiesling -- to its roster.

Comments Hansen of the new union, "I am very pleased to announce today that Induction and Atomic Fire Records are now partnered for musical ventures in the years to come. We are confident that we have found the right partners for our music and vision. Their incredibly capable and experienced team, sharing the passion and love for our music in the same way the band does itself, lets everyone involved look forward to an amazing future where Induction will be elevated to a new level and touch the hearts of many more people with our music."

Says Atomic Fire Records CEO Flori Milz, "When I got the debut album of the guys two years ago, I was totally excited. At that time, I tried to win the band for my own label Reaper Entertainment, but Reaper was still in its infancy and unfortunately nothing came into being. So, I'm even more happy that the band have now signed a worldwide contract with Atomic Fire Records. I'm still a very big fan and I'm really looking forward to our common future and of course the new album."

The first fruit of this partnership will be revealed in the form of a new single, "Sacrifice", on February 4th.
