STAIND Hopes To Complete New Studio Album This YearAaron Lewis has confirmed that STAIND is working on its first studio album since 2011's self-titled effort. Speaking to SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk", the singer said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I would certainly love to have it recorded and done by the end of this year, to be released next year. All of our plans that were kind of semi on the books and on the table, everything just had a year taken off of it [due to the pandemic]. We were gonna have a record come out sometime in 2020 or certainly in 2021, and there was a schedule that was on the table that, just like everything else, got burned to the ground as soon as [the lockdown] started."
STAIND has released seven albums since 1995, the latest being the aforementioned "Staind". The band has had a number of hit songs during its first two decades, including the Top 10 smash "It's Been Awhile" from the No. 1 album "Break The Cycle". Follow-up LPs "14 Shades Of Grey" and "Chapter V" also topped the Billboard chart.
In 2019, Lewis said that new STAIND material would likely sound "pretty brutal. It would be continuing back to how heavy we were to begin with, when 'It's Been Awhile' and 'Outside' and 'So Far Away' and songs like that, that were radio songs, confused everything. 'Cause if you came and saw us at a show, the show was a hell of a lot heavier than most of the songs that you would hear on the radio. And I would have to say that it would be going back in the direction of just heavy… I think I've got some pent-up stuff that would probably flow out quite nicely over some of Mike's [Mushok] heavy riffs."
As reported yesterday, STAIND will release its first album in nine years, "Live: It's Been Awhile", on May 7 via Yap'em/Alchemy Recordings. The "Live: It's Been Awhile" album will be accompanied by "The Return Of Staind", a two-part global streaming series in partnership with Danny Wimmer Presents. The series launches with STAIND's "Live: It's Been Awhile (From Foxwoods)" concert, which streams globally on May 1. The "Live: It's Been Awhile" album and concert were recorded at the band's comeback show at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut in October 2019. The never-before-seen concert celebrates the band's reunion after a five-year hiatus.
STAIND will also perform its iconic multi-platinum 2001 album "Break The Cycle" in its entirety for a May 8 streaming event, exactly 20 years after the album's release. The "20th Anniversary Of Break The Cycle, Performed In Its Entirety" takes place at Mill 1 in Open Square in Holyoke, Massachusetts, bringing the band back to their Western Mass roots. Please note, this is a fully virtual event, with no in-person attendance.
Both global streaming events debut at 2:00 p.m. PDT / 5:00 p.m. EDT / 10:00 p.m. BST / 11:00 p.m. CEST on their respective days and will be available on-demand for 72 hours.
Purchase tickets for one or both of the STAIND global streaming events at StaindLive.com. Fans can also purchase bundles and VIP experiences, including exclusive merchandise, a custom STAIND guitar autographed by the entire band, and a virtual meet-and-greet with the band.
STAIND played its first full live show in five years in September 2019 at the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, Kentucky.
The band was scheduled to support DISTUBED on "The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour" throughout North America last summer. The amphitheater trek has since been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the gl

MALCOLM YOUNG Bashes Original AC/DC Singer DAVE EVANS In Never-Before-Published Interview: 'He Was So Bad'The Coda Collection features seven hours of video documenting AC/DC's various eras in addition to an in-depth collection of essays, along with a never-before-published interview with the band's co-founder and driving force, the late Malcolm Young. In the newly unearthed interview, Young discusses growing up in Australia, being influenced by the blues, the group's early shows, how he meshed with his brother Angus as a guitar player, how Bon Scott fit in with the group, and more.
On AC/DC's early days in the early 1970s:
Malcolm: "All we were doing is trying to entertain people. When we started as a band, we were told by club owners, 'We want people to dance so they drink more.' That's how we cut our teeth — getting people hot and sweaty and drinking. We stayed on that same thing. People paid money for tickets and we've never forgotten that. Anything after that was a bonus. We were just a club band. As things evolve, you evolve with it."
On discovering music growing up in Australia:
Malcolm: "You felt cut off from the rest of the world in the early '60s. You got the hits from America two months later. We had all these mini-stars who dominated the TV. We got the Top 20 on the short-wave radio, Radio Luxembourg. We'd tune in to find what was really happening in the music world. We saw THE BEATLES on TV in Glasgow before they had a hit and before we left for Australia. Six months later, we found out about them when they hit big. It took about six months for it to catch on in Australia."
On how blues influenced him:
Malcolm: "I'd heard Chicago blues from my brothers. One of them, John, loved BIG BILL BROONZY. You start picking up other names from the albums and listening to them. We could relate to that music. It doesn't seem a lot these days, but when a family uproots itself and moves to the other side of the world because your dad couldn't get a job, you didn't feel part of the system, if there even was a system. It was a bit of a struggle in many ways. We related to what the blues singers were saying. They could make you laugh. It was just about everyday life, and that pushed a button. We just fell right into it."
On the first step towards forming a band with Angus:
Malcolm: "We never really played together. I was more into THE BEATLES and [THE ROLLING] STONES, and Angus was more into the heavier stuff, [Jimi] Hendrix and CREAM, with the lead guitar. I used to listen to songs as songs — the drums, the vocal, the music side of it. I tended to pick up on the chords, the whole picture around the guitar. It just happened at one point when I was putting together a band. We were going to get a keyboard player, but I got Angus instead. [Laughs] Angus had his own band, a little rock outfit, but they just packed it in. He told me they were finished, and I said, 'Come down tomorrow and have a bash.' We were going to play rock 'n' roll; it was simple as that. When Angus came in, it was a big piece. He hadn't come into his stage act yet. George and my sister helped him a lot with that. They said, 'You gotta have a gimmick, Angus.' They thought a good act always had something people could relate to. My sister said, 'Why don't you get your school uniform with the shorts?' She knocked that up for him and this little guy became larger than life. Believe me, he can fire up. It's not an act. He takes it on full. I don't think anyone could become that intense method acting. That's what people expect and he does it. Even I don't know how he gets himself into that state."
On AC/DC's early shows:
Malcolm: "We had a good thing with the clubs. Rowdy, mad, brawling Aussies... It made Angus do it more. By the end of the night, everyone was won over. He wore the outfit, but he could play that guitar. We used to go to clubs and check out what was going on, and none of them were playing music that was getting people up and rocking and dancing. People would dance to the records between the bands. We thought, this is rock 'n' roll. [THE ROLLING STONES'] 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' would come on the jukebox, and the dancefloor would be filled. All the bands were doing that hippie period of music, that hippie hangover stuff. They didn't have a clue. It was just wide open for us. The very first show, the very first song we did, we had them won over. We'd play 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' and jam in the middle, drag it out, some Little Richard, 'Great Balls Of Fire', a couple more STONES tracks. Stuff we all roughly knew. Have a quick bash, and we just bluffed our way through. As long as they were up dancing, we were doing our job. The more they dance, the more they drink. Everyone was really happy. Everywhere we played, we were getting offers for residencies. The band was up and running. Melbourne, which is a bit like L.A. and London in size, there were people calling us in Sydney asking about the band. We were moving up quickly. At the time we weren't fazed. It was like, 'Oh, good, another gig.'"
On how he meshed with Angus as a guitar player:
Malcolm: "I was more into the chord thing, the complete song, rather than the individual part. I was glad in a way, because I was more of a melodic player. Angus was more into the rock world. Straightaway I said, 'This is great.' There was never any question. I thought Angus, it's pointless for me to play solos. It was never a brotherly squabble, but the opposite, because we just wanted to do good as a band."
On being in a band with his brother:
Malcolm: "It's not that dramatic. We have our moments. That's what we do, knowing each other all our lives. But it's got a lot of big pluses. Brothers do fight, but there is a closeness too. Within the band, a little bit of aggro rears its ugly head. But it's certainly not a major problem for AC/DC. During the making of the albums, it's the worst, because everyone is under a bit of pressure. You're in a confined area and things happen. We're pretty lucky overall with that, though."
On how Bon Scott fit in with the group:
Malcolm: "Bon basically took charge, to be honest. He was older and he'd been around in another band. He was the man of experience. We'd written one or two songs, and he encouraged us to write more. He'd say, 'I've got an idea about that motherfucking wife I've left: 'She's Got Balls'.' We'd already written some tracks, but when he came in, we had the voice of experience. We kept our ears wide open. He pushed us a little further. The first singer [Dave Evans], people cheered when he left, so we could jam. He was so bad. Bon was in a week later. He had songs, ideas, motivation. He's serious. We were happy to be with someone like that. We were just happy to be playing. He had bigger plans."

EVERY MOTHER'S NIGHTMARE (EMN) Premier "Sin In My Heart" Music Video"Sin In My Heart" the new video/single from EMN (Every Mother's Nightmare) makes its world premiere today. Shot on location at The Slaughterhouse in Nashville, "Sin In My Heart" was directed by Ben Dixon, filmed by James King, produced/edited by Gene Vaton Hadley for GVH Media.
"Sin In My Heart" is the third video from the bands latest record, Resurrect The Faithful, and by far the most creative video of the bands career. The track is also making its way to radio.
"We've stayed very busy with all the down time last year. We got a great time and we're just working all the time. There is already a handful of new songs for the next record and maybe a 1-off single surprise that will come. We are working on the next video too. We've got so much in the works and if we can get out and do some shows this year it should be a good year," says Rick Ruhl.
Recorded at Supernova Sound Memphis, Resurrect The Faithful differs from any of its predecessors. With a unique wall of guitars and a thunderous rhythm section, Resurrect The Faithful stands above anything the band has written and crosses various musical boundaries. The lyrical content delves into profound subject matter that can be determined by the listener as it relates to their own lives and situations. Each song takes on a life of their own – 11 scorching tracks of pure rock ‘n roll bliss at its finest and perhaps the most defining record in the bands career.

TETRARCH Release New Single "Negative Noise"; Music Video PostedBreakout metal stars, Tetrarch, have continued to deliver on their promise of taking over the metal scene in 2021 with the release of their two successful new singles, "I'm Not Right" and "You Never Listen", and today - in anticipation of their new album Unstable (out April 30 via Napalm Records) - they're dropping a third.
Their most aggressive single yet, "Negative Noise", sees the band enter full-on blisteringly heavy metal territory with an addictive modern twist. The sonic call to rise above the mediocre static that surrounds us stands tall as a vigorous, unrelenting banger - walloping with gritty riffage, forceful growls and an unrelenting double bass assault. The track impacts today alongside a hard-as-nails music video.
Frontman and guitarist Josh Fore says: "'Negative Noise' is one of the heaviest songs on the new record. It mixes big riffs with thick bass, extreme drums and some of the most intense screams I’ve ever done. One of the highlights of the song is Diamond’s guitar solo that she absolutely killed and I know will turn so many people's heads. Lyrically, the song is about constantly being surrounded by negativity and people trying to pull us in a million directions. More than ever, there is so much static around us, and we wanted to write a song about dealing with it and blocking out all of the noise."
Produced by the band and Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegaeon, Khemmis), Unstable follows the band’s breakout debut Freak (2017). The new album shines not only as a natural step forward for Tetrarch, but a giant leap ahead - an even more focused effort combining bright flourishes, grooving low-end and soaring choruses. Unstable wastes no time igniting with the unforgettable, punching first single “I’m Not Right”. Boosted by frontman Josh Fore’s raw emotion and dynamic vocal style, the track pays homage to the genre’s greats while lifted by the eerie leads of trailblazing lead guitarist Diamond Rowe. Radio-ready, lyrically-relevant tracks like anti-bullying anthem for the ages “Sick Of You” and empowering “You Never Listen” showcase Tetrarch’s hefty progressions and unforgettable choruses. Unstable’s heaviest offerings prove the band’s dynamic assault of varying heavy styles, most notedly on assertive breakneck burner “Negative Noise” - a track that will turn the heads of metal’s greatest riffers with Rowe’s mighty axe attack - and on the melodically chilling “Take A Look Inside”, highlighting the powerful rhythm section of bassist Ryan Lerner and drummer Ruben Limas. The album explores a brooding, introspective side of the band on the standout, melodic “Addicted” and closer track “Trust Me”, which trickles-in supernatural atmosphere. Delivering heavy hit after hit, Unstable is 10 tracks of pure potency and undeniable talent.
Diamond Rowe says about the album: “The album has an overall theme of self-reflection and really looking at the relationships or parts of yourself/your life that you don’t like and getting out of those situations. It’s an angsty record. Musically, we were not timid in showing that we refuse to be boxed in as artists, and I think we really came out swinging with showing the world the type of band that we want to be. Freak did great for us and showed us that the music we were making was something that people wanted to hear, and that gave us the confidence to write and record this beast of an album.”
Unstable will be available in the following formats:
- 4 page CD Digipak + 12 page Booklet

Italy's SCALA MERCALLI Release New Single / Video "Anita" Dedicated To Nationalist Revolutionary Anita GaribaldiItalian heavy metallers Scala Mercalli, active since 1992, released their new lyric video "Anita" - dedicated to Ana Maria de Jesus Ribeiro da Silva (Anita Garibaldi) - on March 26th, the anniversary of her wedding to Giuseppe Garibaldi in Montevideo in 1842.
The band explains the inspiration for the song: "Giuseppe Garibaldi was a man with whom Anita shared not only a great love, but also her battles for freedom both in Latin America and in Italy, until the day she died in his arms because of a strong fever at the age of 28, after having given birth to three children and pregnant with the fourth, and chased by the foreign armies that occupied the peninsula in 1849. Unaware that our country obtained freedom and unity 12 years later, and that monuments were erected in her memory both in Italy and in Brazil, her homeland. This song is dedicated to Anita and her incredible courage, but also to all the women who bravely fought like her for the freedom and unity of Italy, like the men with whom they shared the same sacrifices in life and on the battlefield."
The song is taken from the album, Independence, released on January 25th, 2019 via Alpha Omega Records
The tracklist is as follows:
"The Crossing on the Sea" (from Quarto to Marsala)
"The 1000" (Calatafimi Battle)"
"Honest Brigands"
"Be Strong"
"The Last Defence" (Roma-Gianicolo 1849)
"Never Surrender"
"Tolentino 1815"
"White Death"
"Whisper of the Night"
"Anita" (Ana Maria de Jesus Ribeiro da Silva)
"Fratelli d'Italia (Italian Anthem)" feat. Corale Angelico Rosati

AT THE GATES Announces New Album 'The Nightmare Of Being'Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have completed recording their new studio album, "The Nightmare Of Being", for a July 2 release via Century Media Records.
While main parts for "The Nightmare Of Being" were recorded in several different Swedish studios — drums at Studio Gröndal with Jens Bogren, guitars and bass with Andy La Rocque at Sonic Train Studio and vocals at Welfare Sounds with Per Stålberg — the LP was mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studios (AMON AMARTH, OPETH, KREATOR) by Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with AT THE GATES on the "At War With Reality" comeback album in 2014. The album's visual concept was developed by artist Eva Nahon.
AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg checked in with the following comment about the album's concept: "The overall theme deals with the topic of pessimism, and I have been diving deep down in pessimistic philosophers. Trying to understand this way of looking at the world. It is not a negative album, more a gateway into new ideas for me personally, trying out different perspectives. You could call the album an introduction to pessimism as a concept, I guess. It is a very dark album, but not negative…"
And musically, while "The Nightmare Of Being" unveils a newly liberated and adventurous AT THE GATES via some of the bravest and most mesmerizing material they have ever written, Lindberg adds: "It still sounds like AT THE GATES, 100 percent. It is just more of everything…"
"The Nightmare Of Being" track listing:
01. Spectre of Extinction
02. The Paradox
03. The Nightmare of Being
04. Garden of Cyrus
05. Touched by the White Hands of Death
06. The Fall into Time
07. Cult of Salvation
08. The Abstract Enthroned
09. Cosmic Pessimism
10. Eternal Winter of Reason
Speaking to MessedUp Magazine, Lindberg stated about the upcoming effort: "We were very excited about [2014's] 'At War With Reality' already before it was released, because it represented our comeback. No one was as excited about it as us, but some time later, I thought it was too slick, too well-produced. 'To Drink From the Night Itself' was a response to that and we wanted it to be dirty and gritty and have loads of classic death metal sounds on it, like a lot of reverb on the vocals and that stuff. It was a record for old-school fans. The upcoming album is somewhere in between, something that continues on the concept we started on the two previous albums where we incorporated much more of our proggy, krauty and avant-gardist influences. Just to give you the picture of how it sounds; one song goes by the nickname 'the Goblin song,' another we call 'the Neu song.' But I promise you we don't take it too far — people wouldn't listen to it if we did. [Laughs] When we were in the studio, we told Jens Bogren [producer] to keep the gritty sound and the attack from the last record and put the overall sound in between the comeback records. And it sounds awesome.
"When we did the Roadburn festival two years ago we did a special set with guest vocalists and string instruments and that stuff on stage and played songs we never played live before. All that was very inspiring because we realized we can do it today, the things we thought we could do as teenagers when we wanted to be the KING CRIMSON of death metal [laughs], but we weren't good enough. After the Roadburn gig, we talked about incorporating more of those elements on record.
"Let's say we're super excited about how people will receive the record because there's stuff on the album never heard on an AT THE GATES record before — a lot of weird things. [Laughs] For old fans, there's at least five or six classic AT THE GATES songs on it, but it's a quite diverse album.
"AT THE GATES have been around for such a long time by now that we don't need to release records to please someone else — we want to do things we like ourselves. It's still death metal, but it has evolved. We just want it to sell enough to get money to record the next album. [Laughs] "
AT THE GATES guitarist Jonas Stålhammar recently told Italy's Poisoned Rock about the music he and his bandmates have written for the upcoming effort: "It's kind of progressing even more from the last album. It's gonna be different than that one too, but still you know it's AT THE GATES. It's evolving even more. All of us are kind of on the same page with why should we do the same record over and over again."
"To Drink From The Night Itself" was produced with Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, THE HAUNTED, DIMMU BORGIR) at Parlour Studios in the U.K. The follow-up 2014's "At War With Reality" featured conceptual artwork created by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight13Media, who also worked with AT THE GATES on the band's previous disc.
"To Drink From The Night Itself" was the first AT THE GATES album written and recorded without lead guitarist/primary songwriter Anders Björler, who departed in 2017. He has since been replaced by Stålhammar.
Further details about "The Nightmare Of Being" and its various formats will be revealed on April 30, with the start of the album’s pre-order campaign.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM To Release 'Blood In The Water' Album In JuneVeteran Arizona thrashers FLOTSAM AND JETSAM will release their new album, "Blood In The Water", on June 4 via AFM Records.
The track listing for the effort is as follows:
01. Blood In The Water
02. Burn The Sky
03. Brace For Impact
04. A Place To Die
05. The Walls
06. Cry For The Dead
07. The Wicked Hour
08. Too Many Lives
09. Grey Dragon
10. Reaggression
11. Undone
12. Seven Seconds 'Til The End Of The World
This past January, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM guitarist Michael Gilbert told The Metal Voice about the musical direction of the follow-up to "The End Of Chaos": "Well, this is the absolute perfect follow-up to 'Chaos'. We couldn't have planned it any better. We all basically put on our work boots, or whatever, and we started writing, and it ended up coming out… It's like 'The End Of Chaos' on steroids, basically. I think you guys are gonna love it, man."
Last November, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM announced Bill Bodily (CONTRARIAN, ex-INHUMATUS, ex-TOXIK) as the band's new bass player. Before joining FLOTSAM AND JETSAM on a permanent basis, Bodily filled in for former bassist Michael Spencer during many shows of the group's "Tour Of Chaos" in 2019.
Commented Bodily: "Joining FLOTSAM AND JETSAM is an honor as well as a huge step up in my musical journey. I've been friends with the guys for many years, and I'm a lifelong FLOTSAM fan. I look forward to the many adventures ahead and getting more acquainted with the legendary Flotzilla fans!"
The band added: "First and foremost, we would like to thank Michael Spencer for his time in FLOTSAM AND JETSAM. He joined us back in 2014, and we have accomplished so much together. We sincerely wish him the best in his future endeavors!
"A new chapter for FLOTSAM AND JETSAM beckons; Bill Bodily embodies a new focus and hunger within FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and we're extremely excited to have him as part of the Flotzilla family. He's not only a brilliant musician who has established himself in the thrash and death metal scene, but also a great human being, which made the decision to have him join the band a very natural one. Bill brings an amazing work ethic and a fervent desire to continue to learn, grow and develop his musical voice. He knows music talent alone isn't enough, and that hard work, perseverance and a sense of humor goes a long way to sustaining a successful musical career. We welcome him with open arms!
"We've been working very hard on the follow‐up for 'The End Of Chaos'. The new material is very heavy, and we've taken the sound and approach that we've had for the last two studio albums and amped up the aggressiveness without toning down any other elements. Everyone has done a superb job in the studio — even more so considering the unprecedented circumstances we are living in at this time. We are very excited about the music, and we hope and believe the new album will live up to everyone's expectations."
"The End Of Chaos" was released in January 2019 via AFM Records.

Today, CATTERA has released its debut single, "Hunger Of The Beast", via Bandcamp. Listen below.
"I knew Roope-Shakir had star power from the moment he entered my apartment," Mrzyglocki says. "I heard his emotion-filled meows and knew he needed to be the front cat of a metal band. It sparked a passion for A&R I never knew I had. People may think CATTERA is just another 'industry plant,' but there's real talent here."
"I'm stoked to release my first track with CATTERA, as I'm a huge fan of OG animal kingdom metal bands like HATEBEAK and CANINUS," Roope-Shakir purrs. "I hope I can be an inspiration to all street cats who have something to say."

Montreal’s THE DAMN TRUTH – Now Or Nowhere Album Out In May; “This Is Who We Are Now” Single StreamingMontreal rock quartet The Damn Truth have announced their third full-length album Now Or Nowhere is scheduled for release on May 7 via Spectra Musique / Sony Music. With six tracks recorded by Grammy Award-winning legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Tragically Hip) at Bryan Adams’ The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Now Or Nowhere is a definitive statement about the band, about the times and how everyone navigates life, love and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways. Preorder here.
The album’s soulful debut single, “This Is Who We Are Now,” was written on the road during their recent U.S. tour and is streaming now across all digital platforms. A visualizer is streaming below.
"Like almost everything good that The Damn Truth has ever produced, this song was born on the road and could be considered a 100% collaboration among the four of us,” lead guitarist/vocalist Tom Shemer points out. “I'll never forget the moment when I was driving to a gig in eastern Texas and PY was sitting in the passenger seat next to me. I told him, 'Dude, press record on the voice memo,' and I hummed, 'This is who we are now' into his phone. Months later, as the band laid down the track in the studio, Lee-la walked into the control room, grabbed the microphone and without writing anything down on paper, she did the take. That was it. Done."
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the band was unable to complete the full recording of Now Or Nowhere with Bob Rock so the band enlisted a team of A-list engineers to help complete the album; Juno Award-winning producer Jean Massicotte (Patrick Watson)--who mixed “Everything Fades”--and Grammy Award-winning engineers Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton) and Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine) as well as Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries, Three Days Grace).
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the recording process for Now Or Nowhere with the band’s current webisode series ‘A Week in The DAMN Life’ airing now on their YouTube channel.

HEAVY TEMPLE Release First Single “The Maiden”; Debut Album Details RevealedPsychedelic doom live-deluge Heavy Temple have released the first crushing single “The Maiden” taken from their forthcoming album debut Lupi Amoris, which will detonate stores on June 18. Preorder here.
Heavy Temple comment: "This is the second of a pairing of songs, the first of which, The Wolf', is written from a different perspective", reveals singer and bass player High Priestess Nighthawk. "There is essentially a call and response between the two songs. It is game of cat and mouse. Or wolf and maiden, if you will. These two songs revolve around the idea of meeting and subsequently falling in love with someone, so it seems appropriate to have both sides of the story. I wrote 'The Maiden' first, and the idea for complimentary lyrics came to me one day when I was listening to, oddly enough, 'Indian Love Call' by Slim Whitman. I promise that there's no yodeling on this one. Well, maybe I will do that on our next record."
Lupi Amoris is Latin for "Wolves of Love," and takes strong inspiration from Angela Carter's story The Company Of Wolves. In it, the narrative of Red Riding Hood is flipped from a cautionary tale about the dangers of lust and desire, feelings young women were traditionally expected to stifle, to a story of female sexuality and power reclaimed. Lupi Amoris finds the Philly outfit aligning with a Red Riding Hood who is freed from the traditional bonds of what's expected.
Tracklisting:
“A Desert Through The Trees”
“The Wolf”
“The Maiden”
“Isabella (With Unrelenting Fangs)”
“Howling Of A Prothalamion”

FEAR FACTORY To Release First New Song In Over Five Years Later This MonthFEAR FACTORY will release its first new song in over five years on Friday, April 16. The track is expected to appear on the band's upcoming album, due later in the year via Nuclear Blast Records.
Last September, singer Burton C. Bell issued a statement officially announcing his departure from FEAR FACTORY, saying that he "cannot align" himself with someone whom he does not trust or respect.
Bell's exit from FEAR FACTORY came more than two weeks after guitarist Dino Cazares launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist him with the production costs associated with the release of FEAR FACTORY's long-awaited new LP.
Bell later told Kerrang! magazine that his split with FEAR FACTORY was a long time coming. "It's been on my mind for a while," he said. "These lawsuits [over the rights to the FEAR FACTORY name] just drained me. The egos. The greed. Not just from bandmembers, but from the attorneys involved. I just lost my love for it.
"With FEAR FACTORY, it's just constantly been, like, 'What?!' You can only take so much. I felt like 30 years was a good run. Those albums I've done with FEAR FACTORY will always be out there. I'll always be part of that. I just felt like it was time to move forward."
Pressed about whether there is any chance of a reconciliation with FEAR FACTORY down the line, Burton said: "I'm done. I haven't spoken to Dino in three years. I haven't spoken to Raymond [Herrera, drums] and Christian [Olde Wolbers, bass] in longer than that, and I have no intention to. I'm just moving forward with my life."
In October, Dino issued a statement in which he said that the door for Burton to come back to FEAR FACTORY wouldn't "stay open forever." The guitarist also revealed that Burton "lost his legal rights" to the FEAR FACTORY name "after a long court battle" with Herrera and Olde Wolbers. "I had the opportunity to do something right, and I felt that obtaining the name in full was the right thing to do for the both of us, so after nearly four years we can continue as FEAR FACTORY, to make more records and to tour," he said. "That is why it is sad to hear that he decided to quit and, in my opinion, for whatever issues he has it seems like it could've been worked out."
In explaining his reasons for starting a fundraising campaign, Cazares said that all donations will go toward covering newly incurred production costs involved with the making of the new FEAR FACTORY LP, including re-recording the drums, guitars, bass and keyboards, as well as mixing and mastering by Andy Sneap. Burton's original lead vocals, which were recorded in full in 2017, will remain on the new version of the album.
FEAR FACTORY's fundraising campaign marked the first public activity from the band since it completed a 2016 U.S. headlining tour on which it performed its classic second album, "Demanufacture", in its entirety.
Bell's ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS project released its second full-length album, "Apocrypha", last October via Dissonance Productions.

SEVENTH CRYSTAL – “When We Were Young” Audio StreamingFrontiers Music Srl recently announced the signing of Sweden's Seventh Crystal to the label's roster of young, up-and-coming talent. The band's debut album, Delirium will be released on May 14. New single, "When We Were Young", is streaming below. Pre-order/save Delirium on CD/Color LP/Digital, here.
Seventh Crystal, a new rock band from the fertile Swedish music scene, was put together by singer Kristian Fyhr. Initially, Kristian wanted to pursue a solo project, but when the songs started to take form, he realized he wanted to involve more musicians. So, he moved to vocals only and brought in Johan Älvsång (Pinstripe Conspiracy, Lamashtu) on keyboards/piano and Olof Gadd (Osukaru) on bass as the first key pieces, and then recruited Anton Roos on drums and Emil Dornerus on guitar to complete the lineup.
Seventh Crystal's music can best be described as arena hard rock with melodic rock influences. The band comments, “We would describe the band’s music and sound as an “intelligent” hard rock, but still very melodic. Our songwriting is very varied. We like to write songs in a pop style and then "beef" them up and make it rock. We're big admirers of everything from Cheiron Studio and Max Martin to Behemoth and Iron Maiden. So our influences come from a lot of different bands and music. But we kind of end up in the modern hard rock and arena rock sound, since that's where we have our common roots. When it comes to the songwriting, it is usually one or two of us who write the basic idea. But then each member adds their own touch and flavour and what comes out is the heavy, intriguing and exciting sound of Seventh Crystal!"
If you love the new wave of Scandinavian hard rock embodied by bands such as One Desire, H.E.A.T., and other bands who bring a huge sense of melody to modern rock, then this band is going to be right up your alley.

LAMB OF GOD Releases Live Video for 'Resurrection Man' from 'LAMB OF GOD (Deluxe Version)'LAMB OF GOD has released the official video for " Resurrection Man (Live)" from the "Live In Richmond, VA" DVD, which is part of the "Lamb Of God (Deluxe Version)", out now via Epic Records. The clip was filmed in the band's native Richmond, Virginia, for a September 2020 livestream.
"'Resurrection Man' has been a fun song to watch the fan reaction to and a fun one to play live for the first time," says guitarist Mark Morton. "We wrote the music for that song quickly and spontaneously in pretty much an afternoon in our jam room. Willie freestyled the opening riff and we built from there. Sometimes it's cool to just let stuff flow without overthinking things to death. I feel like 'Resurrection Man' is a great example of that."
"Lamb Of God (Deluxe Version)" features the critically acclaimed 2020 release with two bonus tracks and a live version of the album, along with a DVD featuring the first of LAMB OF GOD's two ultra-successful livestream events from the fall.
In addition to performing "Lamb Of God" in its entirety, the performance features an encore of four songs including "Ruin", "Contractor", "512" and the debut live performance of "The Death Of Us", a new song the band wrote and recorded in quarantine for the "Bill & Ted Face The Music" movie and soundtrack. The DVD also includes a new director's cut with bonus material. Digital copies will contain only Disc 1 and Disc 2. A separate vinyl edition of "Live From Richmond, VA" will also be available.
The first single from "Lamb Of God (Deluxe Version)", "Ghost Shaped People", has already received a response equal to the fervent reception the original release received last June, holding at No. 1 on the Metal Contraband metal radio chart for four weeks in a row.
"Lamb Of God", the quintet's first new album in five years, was met with universal acclaim upon release — not only among major rock journalists, but with all strata of metal fans around the world. But critics, media and the industry aside, perhaps the most telling statistic is the year-end U.S. Metal Radio chart, where the new album dominated at No. 1 by a massive margin (over 2,000 more spins than the album at No. 2). "Lamb Of God" spent nine weeks in the No. 1 spot and never left the top 10 since debuting on the chart in February. Metal Radio is the lifeblood of the U.S. metal world, largely staffed by college students and regional tastemakers, playing the music that they know their local metal fans want to hear.

SONATA ARCTICA Announces First Acoustic Album, 'Acoustic Adventures - Volume One'Finnish melodic metal titans SONATA ARCTICA are a band with a unique sound, driven by different emotions and a touch of melancholy. Today, the band announces the release of its first acoustic album, perfectly titled "Acoustic Adventures - Volume One", to be released in October 2021 through Nuclear Blast Tonträger Produktions Und Vertriebs Gmbh.
"This acoustic form of SONATA ARCTICA has been slowly brewing for years", comments vocalist Tony Kakko and explains: "The first manifestation of it, besides the few acoustic versions of songs released throughout the years, was the 'Acoustic Adventures Tour' in 2019, which proved to be a great success, sparking an idea to get these songs also recorded and out on an album. Or two albums, at least for starters. Our songs have always been based on beautiful melodies, which makes it very easy to transform and rearrange them perfectly into the acoustic form as well. I should mention that many of the songs work so well dressed in acoustic garments."
"Acoustic Adventures - Volume One" will be the first part, followed by a second acoustic record, to be released in 2022. "I hope you love these albums as much as we do. There are many, many songs we had to leave out of these 'Volume One' and 'Volume Two' albums, so nothing would please me more than adding few more volumes in the future," smiles Kakko and adds: "Looking forward to seeing you on tour again as soon as possible!"
And this tour, dubbed the "Acoustic Adventures MMXXI" tour, is hopefully going to happen in autumn. It's been a while since SONATA ARCTICA toured Europe, the last time being in 2019. To promote their "Acoustic Adventures - Volume One" release, the band will embark on a journey through 17 European countries. Support will be provided by Swedish hopefuls ELEINE, who will also be presenting an acoustic set.
Keyboardist Henrik "Henkka" Klingenberg comments: "Since our 'Talviyö' world tour is more or less over, it's time to look ahead for the next challenge, and since we've had so much fun with the acoustic stuff, we decided to make an album as well, and, of course, we will hit the road immediately after that to celebrate the release of it. As of now, we have managed to set up an extensive European tour, and we're really looking forward to getting out there an play some music for all of you."

NEONFLY Reveal The Future, Tonight Album Details; Music Video Released For Title Track Feat. SOILWORK's BJÖRN "SPEED" STRIDJune 18 will see UK metallers Neonfly release their hotly anticipated album The Future, Tonight, via Germany's up and coming metal institution, Noble Demon.
Neonfly, formed in 2008 as the brainchild of guitarist and composer Frederick Thunder, took the heavy music scene by storm, releasing two highly acclaimed full-length records and an unforgettable debut EP to date. The four-piece have played countless tours with acts such as Sonata Arctica, Dragonforce, Epica and Alice Cooper to name just a few, and appeared at a raft of prestigious festivals notably Download, Bloodstock and Masters Of Rock.
On their upcoming third album, Neonfly shows no signs of slowing down: The Future, Tonight not only features 10 modern rock anthems, heavy yet catchy allied with hard-hitting riffs, big metal grooves and decidedly socially conscious lyrics, but also signposts a new musical direction and a new creative era for the band, as guitarist Frederick Thunder states: "We’ve evolved a lot since our last album, and it was extremely important for us to move forward both musically and artistically, and to create something unique and contemporary that would define Neonfly’s sound and stand out from everything else out there."
To follow up these words with actions, today Neonfly unleash a brand new video clip for the album title track. With a guest appearance by none other than legendary Björn Strid of the mighty Soilwork, who has nothing but praise for the band: "I really enjoyed recording vocals for this song. Great players with tons of hooks and melancholic melodies. The song has some pretty unexpected turns as well and is just as epic as it rocks."
Watch the video for "The Future, Tonight" below.
"In the video we wanted to show this metaphorically by having the 4 band members blindfolded and tied to chairs in front of an interrogator who is abusing them psychologically and threatening them with physical violence" the band explains and continues: The interrogator represents mental health and depression issues, while the band members struggling and trying to stand up to him, represent the inner struggle that people have against those demons. In the video, we wanted to include this as part of a wider narrative, shot cinematically like a short movie. Towards the end of the video, there is a plot twist, as we see the interrogator blindfolded sitting on a chair on his own, and replaying the previous sequence entirely on his own, implying that he’d been the one sitting alone all this time struggling with his inner demons."
Furthermore Frederick Thunder adds: “‘The Future, Tonight’ is one of my favourite tracks on the album. I think it really showcases where we are at today. The song is a perfect example of that, and we are truly honoured to have Björn “Speed” Strid -an artist that I deeply respect and admire- as a guest singer on the track. It’s also a testament to our commitment to keep moving forward and finding new and exciting forms of artistic expression."
The Future, Tonight was produced by Grammy award nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Motörhead), with keyboards and orchestra arranged by Miro Rodenberg (Avantasia, Kamelot).
The Future, Tonight is available for pre-order here. Pre-save the new single to the library of your preferred streaming service or add it to your favorite playlist here.
The album artwork was painted by Korean artist Gyeong Hwan Noh “Noma”.

VULTURE - Dealin' Death Album Details Revealed; "Malicious Souls" Music Video StreamingOn May 21, Vulture will release their new album, Dealin' Death, via Metal Blade Records. For a first preview of the record, a video for the new single, "Malicious Souls" (filmed and edited by Adrian Guzce), can be viewed below.
When it comes to contemporary thrash, there are few bands that can stand toe-to-toe with Germany's Vulture. Establishing their status with 2016's Victim To The Blade EP and 2017's The Guillotine, then cementing their reputation with 2019's Ghastly Waves And Battered Graves, they now return with the mighty Dealin' Death, one of the most ruthless records the genre has seen.
"Take all our key elements - fierce riffing, halftone-shifts, aggressive vocals, huge toms, changing dynamics, horror-synths and classical twin guitar harmonies and cast it in a mould, then you have 'Dealin' Death'," says guitarist Stefan Castevet. "The result sounds a little 'back to the EP-ish' to my ears, yet it contains new approaches that we've never included in our sound so far, like choirs with harmonies."
When it was time for the band to head into the studio, the recording process was handled by two separate collaborators: the album recorded at Monkey Moon Studios in Dortmund by Alexander Stöcker, the guitarist of Stallion, while the production was once more handled by Marco Brinkmann at Hellforge Studio.
"This cooperation turned out great!" enthuses vocalist Leo Steeler. "Alex's way of recording and the whole studio atmosphere was pretty motivating and inspiring for all of us. Marco, on the other hand, knows exactly how we should sound and already became literally the sixth member of the band."
Working twelve-hour days for ten days straight was pretty grueling, their daily schedule "get up, track, sleep", but the effort paid off. "I think 'Dealin' Death' is the best we've ever sounded. The mix itself is absolutely flawless to my ears," says Castevet. "It's way more direct and less reverb-soaked than its predecessor. It was very important for us this time, to take advice from Marco and make all key elements audible for the listener. The vocals sound piercing, the bass is present, delivering warmth throughout the whole mix, and the guitars have the best sound we've ever had, and the same goes for drums. It's very natural and dynamic, but straight to the point."
And now with everything done, the band are eager to get it out there. "We can't wait to get feedback for it, hopefully people will admire it as much as we do! Once the pandemic is over, we also can't wait to play shows and even tour again."
Dealin' Death can be pre-ordered here in the following formats:

FROZEN SOUL Premier NSFW Music Video For "Arctic Stranglehold"Frozen Soul live up to their name as the sound of death metal at its most cold and classic. Their new album Crypt Of Ice is out now via Century Media.
The band have premiered the NSFW video for album track, "Arctic Stranglehold". Watch below.
"'Arctic Stranglehold' is our favorite song off of Crypt Of Ice," the band says. "We started out doing just a visual, non-performance video for it, but in the end, we thought that it deserved a lot more to really show the song. We went back to the drawing board with Tanner McCardle and our good friend Dave Gonzalez with Metal Dave Media and decided to shoot some DIY scenes ourselves to add into what Tanner had already done! All the performance scenes and death scenes were shot in our jam space, then Tanner filmed some additional footage to add to that."
The band finishes, "After we got all of the new additions finished, Tanner reworked the original visuals that he filmed and edited it together with all the new footage. 'Arctic Stranglehold' came to life, or death!! We put a lot of hard work into this video and are stoked for everyone to see it! COLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL FOREVER."
Crypt Of Ice can be ordered here.

MAD SYMPHONY - Melodic Prog-Rockers Announce Self-Titled Debut Release; "Truth In The Shadows" Single StreamingMad Symphony has announced their debut self-titled album, to be released May 13 worldwide via MR Records. Listen to the band's single, "Truth In The Shadows", below:
“It ain’t over, never over, ‘til we do it all over again!” is the hook-line and rallying cry from Vancouver-based melodic prog-rockers Mad Symphony on their forthcoming single "Do It All Over Again". While channeling the sounds of classic rock bands such as AC/DC, The Who and Led Zeppelin, Mad Symphony infuses their songs with modern elements of heavy guitars, elaborate keyboards and massive vocal harmonies to create a sound that is both contemporary and instantly recognizable by music fans of all ages. Examining the themes of love, loss, and betrayal with songs such as "Sell Me Out", "Reality Check" and "Wasted in Oblivion", Mad Symphony seeks to illuminate the pressures and struggles faced by all who live through these confusing and rapidly changing times.
"MR Records is thrilled and proud to have signed Canadian hard rockers Mad Symphony to the label and extremely excited to be releasing their debut album, "Mad Symphony". This album takes you on a musical journey through great musicianship and songs with a real message for the world today. Certainly, an album MR Records fully believes in." - Peter Hoffmann, Director MR Records
"Mad Symphony's debut CD represents the hard-rocking soundtrack to the lives of all six band members. Spanning many influences, from the glory days of rock to the present, the sounds of metal, progressive, classic, and symphonic rock music are seamlessly combined with commentary on modern society and culture. Timeless songs for a post-pandemic world." - Dave Groves, Mad Symphony
Mad Symphony is the collaboration of accomplished and professional Vancouver-based musicians who collectively have many years of experience writing, recording, and touring internationally with various acts. Formed from the ashes of Seattle grunge-metal band Soulbender (which also featured Michael Wilton of Queensryche fame on guitar), lifelong friends and collaborators Dave Groves (guitar) and Wes Hallam (drums) joined up with multi-instrumentalist/producer/engineer Ted Tosoff (Blue Voodoo) in 2018 to begin writing for a new, as-yet-unnamed project.
Ted knew of powerhouse vocalist Kevin Wright (The Wilds), whose raunchy and melodic vocal stylings a-la Bon Scott and Robert Plant, fit the new songs perfectly; Kevin was quickly recruited into the fold. To round out the lineup, the formative members didn’t have to look far. Dave and Wes had both played with keyboardist Mike Russell (Sweeney Todd) and bassist Amrit Prasad (Assault), but not always in the same bands or at the same time. With the addition of Mike on keys and Amrit on bass Mad Symphony immediately began recording their debut album and rehearsing tirelessly.
With the goal of creating memorable and powerful music that resonates with the listener both in style and substance, Mad Symphony writes songs with a message of hope and resiliency that harkens back to the glory days of rock and roll. Screaming guitars, driving drums, and huge vocals combine with melodic keyboard orchestrations and thundering bass to make the sonically dense and raucous sound that is… Mad Symphony.
Pre-order Mad Symphony here.

THE ABSENCE Release "Choirs Of Sickness" Music Video; Coffinized Album To Arrive In JuneFlorida-based melodic death metal quartet, The Absence, have unveiled a music video for their new song, “Choirs Of Sickness”. The clip can be viewed below, and the song itself is available now for streaming and download at all digital music outlets.
“Choirs Of Sickness” is the first single from The Absence’s upcoming album, Coffinized, which will be released June 25 by M-Theory Audio. CD and limited-edition vinyl variants can be pre-ordered here.
Says vocalist Jamie Stewart, “Haven’t we all been Coffinized since last year? Cooped-up, masked, distanced, trapped within a formless bubble, longing for a collective exhale. We lost loved ones; we lost time, work, sanity... in a way, we lost ourselves. In regard to most bands' craft, we lost an integral portion of the thing that charges our collective batteries: SHOWS. We lost our abilities to release and to connect with all of our friends and family. We miss the spark; we miss the conversations; and most of all, we miss each and every one of you.
“This record is a void-bending combustion chamber of creativity,” he continues. “Every single song bears a torch of deprivation, darkness and triumph. In the end, we do actually win. One second, you feel creative and accomplished, validated and whole. The next, you seem empty and worthless, and feel the claustrophobia of being forced into an unwilling casket. ‘Coffinized’ collects in detail the hysterical scratches and screams found on the inside of this casket’s lid – the kind of gashes made by four beings who are very much alive and giving their all to be heard from a forced burial.”
Coffinized is The Absence's follow-up to their 2018 comeback record, A Gift For The Obsessed. That album was the band's first in eight years, as well as their first for new label home M-Theory Audio. The time period between that album's release and the COVID outbreak saw the band stay busy by taking their new songs to the road, touring alongside acts such as Deicide, Origin, Jungle Rot, Exmortus, and Hatchet. Band members also stayed busy with other outside endeavours, with drummer Jeramie Kling manning the kit for Venom Inc., bassist Mike Leon gigging with Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy, and guitarist Taylor Nordberg playing with Massacre. Those three band members took the experiences from those touring gigs and reconvened in the studio with Stewart who has also been busy with his other project, Hot Graves, to put together the 11 tracks of pummeling death metal that compose Coffinized.
Coffinized was produced and engineered by Kling and Nordberg and mixed by Kling. The album was mastered by Jonas Kjellgren (Immortal, Overkill, Scar Symmetry) at Sweden’s Black Lounge Studios.

KORPIKLAANI Release Accordion Playthrough Video For "Huolettomat"Korpiklaani have released an accordion playthrough video for "Huolettomat", a track from the band's new album, Jylhä. Watch Sami Perttula rip through the track below.
Sami comments on "Huolettomat": "'Huolettomat' is the product of a long process and I recorded the first ideas of this song a couple of years ago. My idea was to make a stereotypical Korpiklaani folk metal song and pick up the juiciest parts that touched me the most when I myself got introduced to the genre: energy, a good sense of melody and an uplifting rhythm. Once again the whole song went trough my bandmates' filters and it wouldn’t exist in such a cool form as it does on the album now if it wasn't for them. Big thanks to them again for putting a lot of effort into this song!
'Huolettomat' can be translated as 'the careless' and again the lyrics are by Tuomas Keskimäki. In the story, the carefree secretly party on an island, run laughing to the bailiff, and continue partying like it was their last day. 'Today is today, tomorrow is uncertain'. In one review the song has been described as 'Hakuna Matata' by Korpiklaani instead of the Lion King movie soundtrack, and I kind of like that description.
Special thanks for the video go to media student Aleksander Grönvall who represents the younger generation of producers in Finland. With his motivation, professionalism and effort we got a chance to serve this video to you, so enjoy!"

UPON WINGS Launch Video For New Single "Eternal Way" Feat. PRIMAL FEAR Vocalist RALF SCHEEPERSSymphonic metal outfit, Upon Wings, has debuted the music video for their new song, "Eternal Way", feat. Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Gamma Ray) and Max Georgiev, lead touring guitarist for Falling In Reverse. Watch below, and stream/download the single here.
The idea to have Scheepers guest on the track came about as Upon Wings was wrapping up recording sessions for "Eternal Way".
"Ralf Scheepers has such a grand voice and was a delight to work with, so it was truly a pleasure and honor to have him on this Upon Wings song," frontwoman Anne Autumn said. "Max Georgiev's guitar solo adds an incredible touch, as well."
Kevin Jardine of Slaves On Dope produced, mixed, and performed additional guitars on the album's title track, and Peter Tzaferis of the band performed drums. Grammy Award-winning producer Glenn Brown mastered the song.

WORLD OF DAMAGE Feat. Members Of JORN, KAMELOT, SOILWORK, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORECHESTRA Announce "I Will Ot Conform" Single Feat. SHAGRATH, MAURICE ADAMSNorwegian hard rock/metal band, World Of Damage, the solo project of guitarist Kjell Åge Karlsen (Jorn, Chrome Division) aka Mr.Damage, have announced the release of their first single, "I will Not Conform", featuring feat. Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir, Chrome Division) AND Maurice Adams (BreeD, Enigma Experience), out on April 9.
The single can be pre-saved here. Watch a teaser video below:
World Of Damage will release their debut album, Invoke Determination, on June 11.
Invoke Determination featuring some of the greatest names within the modern rock and metal scene, including Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir, Chrome Division), Roy Khan (Kamelot, Conception), Björn "Speed" Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra), Maurice Adams (BreeD, Enigma Experience) and Chris Clancy (Wearing Scars) to name a few.
Mr.Damage has to say, "The idea of making this album goes all the way back to around 2016. I found myself in a situation were I wanted to make music without having to think about it fitting into Chrome Division or any other band, or form. I just wanted it to be my own music, being everything from rock and metal, to ballads and instrumental music. Kinda just let the music do the talking without analyzing it too much. When you are playing in a band, the music is a product of the style and the people of the band. But when you are on your own, everything is up to you, and you alone. It’s like painting a picture; it’s you, the brush, the colors, and the canvas. Not five people, with five brushes and five different buckets of paint. I am very pleased and proud of the album, and I can’t wait to show off, the World Of Damage."
All guitars and bass is played by Mr.Damage. Drums are hammered in by the great Aki Viitala from Shot At Dawn. The album is produced by Mr.Damage and mixed & mastered by Marius Strand (Chrome Division, The Wretched End, Susperia) at Strand Studio, Oslo, Norway.
Tracklisting:
"I Will Not Conform" (feat. Maurice Adams & Shagrath)
"Invoke Determination" (feat. Björn "Speed" Strid)
"The Petrol & The Blood" (feat. Bernt Fjellestad)
"Fire Burns My Name" (feat. Björn «Speed» Strid)
"Until The End Of Days" (feat. Chris Clancy)
"Breathe (Little Angel)" (feat. Roy Khan)
"Insanity" (feat. Pål «Athera» Mathiesen)
"Cancel" (feat. Bernt Fjellestad)
"Unleash The Rage" (feat. Thebon)
"Black Moon" (Instrumental)
"Spoke In The Wheel" (feat. Eddie Guz)
"I Will Not Conform" - (Bonus track feat. Maurice Adams, Shagrath & Derek Sherinian)
Kjell Åge Karlsen, or Mr.Damage has he prefers to be called (the name is given by his father after he managed to crash his car THREE times in one day!!), is best known for being the loud, wild and untamed lead guitar-player and co-songwriter in the doomsday rock n' roll band Chrome Division, along with his partner in crime, Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir.
Mr.Damage has a growing catalogue with band releases and several guest appearances, latest is co-writing and performing "Faith Bloody Faith" with Korn for the Norwegian final of ESC 2021.
This long haired, bearded, Norwegian Viking is now ready to unleash his first solo album upon the world.
