STATUS QUO Launch Video Trailer For Upcoming Driving To Glory Collection
Status Quo are looking forward to the release of the forthcoming collection, Driving To Glory, launching the video trailer below.
The set will be available on CD and 12" Picture Disc on November 29. Pre-order here.
Status Quo has endured for over 50 years and is known for worldwide hits and tours to millions of fans across the globe.
This compilation collects together, for the first time, many of the band’s rare tracks from the late 1990s and early 2000s, some of which have been unavailable for over 20 years. Until now, many of these tracks have only been available on CD singles or editions of albums only available in one country.
This remastered compilation is supported by the band and has been overseen by the recordings’ original producer, Mike Paxman, who has also written liner notes for the release.
Mike Paxman said of the release: “Known for their hard driving style, it’s fitting that this Status Quo collection is called Driving To Glory. Many of the songs included were recorded for soundtracks or to go with non-album single releases - this collection brings them together for the first time, and deserves to be thought of as an album.”
All of these songs were recorded as lead tracks and released in various different places. This collection brings

gravitgroove, насколько мне известно, Status Quo довольно однообразное музло всегда делали. В этом плане они схожи с Ac/Dc, хотя им данная особенность никогда не мешала хорошо продавать альбомы.

Но я действительно воспринимаю международный успех отталкиваясь от продаж в США/Канада, ибо это самый крупный рынок с самыми крупными стандартами на бронзовую, золотую, платиновую и бриллиантовую продажу. Признаю свою ошибку.
Nord61, чёт я охренел от цифр продаж. Они как-то пока мимо меня прошли и я всегда думал о них, как о крепком втором эшелоне. А тут тираж альбомов больше, чем у BS или Van Halen ( про Назареты с Хипами вообще молчу). По крайней мере по тем данным, что я видел.
Вашингтон Ирвинг, просто в позднем совке и ранней РФ крутили только In The Army Now, поэтому ты так думаешь. До этого кавера они напилили штук 20 хит-синглов в британских чартах, да и альбомы их дико котировались и на Альбионе, и в континентальной Европе. Учи матчасть.
Nord61, я все это прекрасно знаю, я в шутку написал про «мы были в армии нахуй» - юмористический кавер на In The Army Now, который в виде клипа из кадров из Смешариков мигрировал туда-сюда по телефонам школьников в середине нулевых.
Petrovich Sexyy, им просто не фартануло всерьёз пробиться на североамериканский рынок (как и Slade, которые в 70-х были просто королями Старого Света).
А в Европе, Австралии и Новой Зеландии Status Quo всегда хорошо себя чувствовали, и на гастролях, и в продажах дисков.

Но я действительно воспринимаю международный успех отталкиваясь от продаж в США/Канада, ибо это самый крупный рынок с самыми крупными стандартами на бронзовую, золотую, платиновую и бриллиантовую продажу. Признаю свою ошибку.
