JEFF BECERRA: Next POSSESSED Album Will Be One Of The Band's 'Darkest'

JEFF BECERRA: Next POSSESSED Album Will Be One Of The Band's 'Darkest'

In a new interview with Alex Stojanovic of MetalMasterKingdom.com, POSSESSED frontman Jeff Becerra spoke about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's follow-up to 2019's "Revelations Of Oblivion" LP. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I have like two songs left [to finish]… It sounds very different, very cool, very heavy. But a lot more tempo switching. And it's cool.

"POSSESSED will never sell out," he continued. "I'd rather die. But it's still very, very heavy. It's probably gonna be one of our darkest albums. And also something that you don't have to grit your teeth to get through the whole thing."

Jeff also talked about the POSSESSED songwriting process, saying: "We all write. I think I wrote 63 or 64 percent of the last album, so 50 percent and that extra music. 50 percent would be lyrics, if we're doing it at 100. Even though it's not really broken down that way, it's easier to explain that way. So I'll write riffs, definitely, I'll send them to Dan [guitarist Daniel Gonzalez]. Me and Dan are kind of the main guys, but more and more, on this one you're seeing Claudeous [Creamer, POSSESSED guitarist] and Robert [Cardenas, POSSESSED bassist] coming out and showing off the riffs.

"This [version of] POSSESSED has been around more than three times as long as the first one, so, yeah, we work well together," he explained. "And they're not afraid to say, 'Hey, no, this is not good' to me and vice versa. But we're looking for what's good or what is mendable or what is perfect as is. And so I think we're all super picky about what we do."

As for a possible released date for the next POSSESSED album, Jeff said: "Well, POSSESSED is definitely not one of those bands that just puts out album after album. That's why I don't think we're label darlings. But I want to put this one out as soon as possible, definitely within the next year — that's very conservative; should be sooner — and then immediately keep writing the third one 'Cause we have three on this contract [with record label Nuclear Blast], and then we either re-up or whatever. But Nuclear Blast has been really kind and understanding with health and touring. They help with everything. They're really, really gracious."

This past June, Becerra was asked by El Planeta Del Rock how he looks back on "Revelations Of Oblivion" five years after the LP's release. Jeff said: "I really liked it. It's weird. When you make new music, you're like, 'Oh, this song's gonna go over like gangbusters,' but then it's always the songs that you didn't expect [that] statistically do better. So I've lost track of trying to pay attention or trying to guide the machine. I'm just playing what I want, and I think with 'Revelations', I had to kind of stay in my own lane, which was great. It was straight-forward."

POSSESSED originally split in 1987, leaving behind a short but highly influential legacy, most notably 1985's "Seven Churches" album. Internal tensions after the release of 1987's "The Eyes Of Horror" EP led to the band's dissolution, with guitarist Larry Lalonde joining Bay Area tech-thrashers BLIND ILLUSION, then PRIMUS, while Becerra, guitarist Mike Torrao and drummer Mike Sus each going separate directions.

Two years after POSSESSED's split, Becerra was the victim of a failed armed robbery attempt, leaving him partially paralyzed and wheelchair-bound and sending him into a spiral of drug and alcohol abuse. POSSESSED was reactivated by Torrao in 1990 with a completely different lineup, but only released two demos before dissolving in 1993. Becerra then reformed POSSESSED ielations Of Oblivion".

JEFF LYNNE's ELO Announces Final Concert

JEFF LYNNE's ELO Announces Final Concert

American Express Presents BST Hyde Park has announced the first stellar 2025 headliner, with Jeff Lynne's ELO gracing the famous Great Oak Stage on Sunday, July 13. Tickets go on general sale at 9 a.m. BST this Friday, October 25.

One of Britain's best loved bands, the group marks their farewell, decades after their founding in Birmingham and the start of a journey that transformed music. Currently completing their farewell U.S. tour, "Over And Out", the band will land at BST Hyde Park for a final "goodbye" in summer 2025.

"My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014," explains Jeff Lynne. "It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn't be more excited to share this special night in London with our U.K. fans. As the song goes, 'we're gonna do it one more time!'"

Recognized as one of the most iconic forces in music history, in recent years Jeff Lynne's ELO has delivered a critically acclaimed and chart-topping album along with a sold-out run of European shows. Jeff Lynne was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame last year and the band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017.

The band is synonymous for their epic shows and with a distinct style that seamlessly and innovatively blends rock, pop and classical - proven most recently as the band approach the end of their hugely successful stint in North America. ELO has had more than 20 Top 40 hits across the U.S. and the U.K., making Lynne's sweeping productions some of the most recognizable music of the last forty years and helping sell over 50 million records worldwide.

Their signature UFO descending on the stage and spectacular production immerses audiences in their world, with string sections, cutting edge technology and an array of musicians faithfully recreating ELO's incredible recordings. Global hits like "Mr. Blue Sky", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Evil Woman", "Livin' Thing", "Turn To Stone" and "Telephone Line" travelled the world, fusing classical with electronic and rock.

Lynne was a co-founder and member of THE TRAVELLING WILBURYS together with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty, as well as a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music including THE BEATLES, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh and Bryan Adams.

Jim King, CEO of European festivals at AEG Presents says: "Jeff Lynne's ELO are loved the world over. The live shows are nothing short of extraordinary and a testament to the incredible catalogue of hits we've enjoyed for over 50 years. Hosting their final performance at BST Hyde Park is a true honor, especially 30 years after their first festival show in the same park. We're excited to be part of this special moment in music history."

JAKE E. LEE Says He Was Shot After He Confronted 'A Couple Of Thieves' Checking Out A Neighbor's Motorcycle

JAKE E. LEE Says He Was Shot After He Confronted 'A Couple Of Thieves' Checking Out A Neighbor's Motorcycle

Jake E. Lee has offered an update on his health, five days after being shot in Las Vegas.

The 67-year-old former OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist was hit three times in a shooting about 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip early on Tuesday, October 15. He was later taken to the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center's intensive care unit.

Earlier today (Sunday, October 20),Jake posted a photo of his dog on the RED DRAGON CARTEL Facebook page and included the following message: "Thank you again for all your concern. A quick update: back home recuperating. A big thanks to those at Sunrise Hospital for taking such good care of me.

"And some brief details about that night. Walking home from our walk Coco and I crossed paths with a couple of thieves. Dressed darkly, hoodies pulled down their faces and masks covering their mouths. Standing in a neighbor's driveway checking out his motorcycle. There was a verbal confrontation which ended with an agreement that I would walk one way and they would walk the opposite. That didn't work out. I'll probably talk in more detail about it later but right now I can only comfortably do a little at a time."

This past Thursday, Jake said in another social media post that "the police found 15 shell casings at the scene" where he was shot "which means [the shooter] emptied his clip on me. I could only dodge so many so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back which broke a rib and damaged a lung."

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Lee was in his driveway about to walk his dog at about 2:40 a.m. when he was shot in the forearm; in the back, with the bullet breaking a rib; and in the foot. None of the shots hit a vital organ. A neighbor heard the shots, hid his kids, grabbed a gun and called 911. Lee's dog was unharmed.

The Las Vegas Police Department later released a statement in which they said: "Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation."

Lee, who was tapped by Ozzy Osbourne to replace the late Randy Rhoads in the singer's solo band, played on two Ozzy records: 1983's "Bark At The Moon" and 1986's "The Ultimate Sin".

In a statement to TMZ, Ozzy said: "It's been 37 years since I've seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn't take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It's just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he'll be OK."

Bret Michaels of POISON wrote on X (formerly Twitter),"To our friend Jake E. Lee — our thoughts, prayers and concerns go out to you, my friend, after hearing the news of you being shot in Las Vegas today. We are all pulling for you & hoping that you will have a speedy & incredible recovery."

JOURNEY's Neal Schon also took to the social media platform. "Crazy world," he wrote. "take care Jake."

NIGHT RANGER's Brad Gillis, who also played guitar in Osbourne's band in the past, shared his own statement on X regarding the shooting. "I just heard about Jake E Lee. Glad to hear he is doing well," he said. "My thoughts are with ya, buddy!"

After performing with Ozzy, Lee formed the hard rock band BADLANDS. He released the solo albums "Retraced" and "Guitar Warrior" in 2005 and 2007, respectively. After a self-imposed exile from the music industry and the public eye, Lee returned with a new band called RED DRAGON CARTEL, releasing a self-titled album in 2013 followed by "Patina" in 2018.

Thank you again for all your concern. A quick update: back home recuperating. A big thanks to those at Sunrise Hospital...

OZZY OSBOURNE's 'No More Tears' Certified Quintuple Platinum In U.S.

OZZY OSBOURNE's 'No More Tears' Certified Quintuple Platinum In U.S.

According to a post on Ozzy Osbourne's Instagram, the legendary heavy metal singer's sixth solo album, "No More Tears", has been certified quintuple platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) for sales in excess of five million copies in the United States alone.

Released in September 1991, the LP spawned four singles which reached the Top 10 of the U.S. Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including the No. 2 "Mama, I'm Coming Home" and the Grammy-winning track "I Don't Want To Change The World". It is one of Osbourne's two best-selling solo albums in North America, along with 1980's "Blizzard Of Ozz". It was Osbourne's final album to feature drummer Randy Castillo and longtime bassist and songwriter Bob Daisley.

"No More Tears" was previously certified quadruple platinum in May 2000.

He's sold over 100 million records, is one of a handful of artists who has had top ten albums in last six decades, received induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a co-founder of BLACK SABBATH and as a solo artist, won three Grammy Awards, earned the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy Of Songwriters, Composers And Authors, set a Guinness World Record, and claimed real estate on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk Of Stars. He's played for royalty (even the Queen of England) and dignitaries around the world, interacted with presidents and performed to millions of devoted fans on five continents.

Following Ozzy's two Grammy Awards in 2023 for "Best Rock Album" (his first-ever win in the category) and "Best Metal Performance" from his hugely successful and critically acclaimed "Patient Number 9" album (Epic Records),he took part in the 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction this past weekend at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Osbourne has earned a solo induction for his nearly six-decade career in music (BLACK SABBATH was inducted in 2006). This honor makes Ozzy one of a handful of artists with multiple inductions into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Ozzy hasn't played a full concert since 2018, not long before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. That same year, Osbourne sustained a spinal injury, forcing him to undergo several operations and stem cell treatments and causing the cancelation of his European tour dates.

TESTAMENT's ERIC PETERSON On New Drummer CHRIS DOVAS: 'He Brought Some Life Back'

TESTAMENT's ERIC PETERSON On New Drummer CHRIS DOVAS: 'He Brought Some Life Back'

In a new interview with Radioactive MikeZ, host of the 96.7 KCAL-FM program "Wired In The Empire", TESTAMENT guitarist Eric Peterson spoke about the addition of drummer Chris Dovas (SEVEN SPIRES) after Dave Lombardo's short-lived return. Regarding how Dovas landed the gig, Peterson said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Well, when Gene [Hoglan] left, the word got out and we had a lot of video tapes come in and I was talking to a couple of different players. [Chris] was my pick. And then Lombardo reached out to Chuck [Billy, TESTAMENT singer] and then he reached out to me and everybody really wanted to go with that. So I kind of told Chris, like, 'Let's keep you on the back and see what happens.' And, of course, a couple of months later, I'm, like, 'Hey, Lombardo can't do this next [run]. And he can only do these selected shows,' and I was, like, 'Oh god, here we go again.' The other guys were, like, 'Well, let's call up [former TESTAMENT drummer John] Tempesta or [Paul] Bostaph,' which we knew wouldn't be permanent, but maybe they'd come and… I'm, like, 'Hey, let's give this kid a try.' And when he came in, we were just, like, 'Whoa.' The energy level, and just making us play faster, but not to where we go, 'Slow down. We can't play that fast anymore.' He almost made it easier, his groove, and he brought some life back. And the new record that we put together, me and him… there's a good vibe there."

Peterson went on to say that TESTAMENT's follow-up to 2020's "Titans Of Creation" will be mixed by Swedish producer Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with OPETH, KREATOR, PARADISE LOST, SOILWORK and AMON AMARTH, among others. "Titans Of Creation" was co-produced by Juan Urteaga, who previously worked with TESTAMENT on "Dark Roots Of Earth" (2012) and "Brotherhood Of The Snake" (2016).

"Our new record's pretty much done, 90 percent done… The bass, drums, most of the vocals [and] my guitars [are all done]," Eric said. "Me and Alex [Skolnick, TESTAMENT guitarist] got a little bit of solos to do. I think Chuck's got a couple more to do."

Regarding a possible release date for the new TESTAMENT album, Eric said: "January is going to be mixing. End of December, January, I think [Jens is] gonna be mixing it. So, yeah, it's gonna be fair to say April, May, a single [will be released]."

Last month, Billy spoke Metal Express Radio's Bryce Van Patten about how the songwriting process has changed since TESTAMENT's early days in the late 1980s and 1990s. He said: "Oh, it's night and day. Before, back then, we all lived the same place, we all had to go to the same studio, where now it's by e-mail, sharing the songs. Everybody has home studios to work out demos. Definitely a different writing process, but still Eric is one of the main writers. And ever since we brought in our new drummer, Chris Dovas, he's been here two years — he was 24 when he came into the band; he's 26 [now]. But he's a smart kid. [He] graduated [from] the Berklee [College] Of Music. [He] knows theory [and is] great in the studio with Pro Tools. He's really into modern bands and new and upcoming stuff, and he's got an old soul so he knows the history of the music. But I think him working hand in hand with Eric as long as they did, he really pushed Eric and drove Eric to get challenged. And I wouldn't say 'copy', but I think Chris and what he listens to and the style Eric likes, it brought an influence to the new songs."

Regarding the musical direction of the new TESTAMENT material, Chuck said: "To me, the new songs sound current, they sound fresh. They're touching what a lot of new upcoming bands are making good names for themselves are doing. So, again, it's raising the bar one more time. And I think when fans hear this record, especially new, younger fans are gonna go, 'Whoa. That's TESTAMENT. I know the TESTAMENT I know from 30-something years ago and grew up with, but what is this?' I'm excited for that because I wanna hear what people think. I'd love to see the expression of them hearing it for the first time. That would be great, because it does sound new and modern and fresh, even though we're still being challenged."

Asked if he and his TESTAMENT bandmates have more freedom to do whatever they want now than they did when you were on a major label like Atlantic, Chuck said: "Totally. When we were on Atlantic, that was a big machine. They had an A&R department, they had the radio department, they had tons of departments, tons of money, and they were always influenced by how well their big-selling artists were, which were radio bands and they were pushing radio. So that A&R guy would be whispering in our ears, 'What's the next radio song?' And we're thinking, "Well, we're not a radio band. That's not us.' And even to this day, when I hear some stuff like [on the SiriusXM channel] Ozzy's Boneyard or something, they play ballads by us, and it's, like, that doesn't represent us, but that represents that era in thinking maybe of what TESTAMENT did or what they chose to expose us to the public, which it's misrepresenting us. So, yeah, the freedom's huge now, especially being with Nuclear Blast as long as we have. There's no deadline. It's just, 'When you're ready, you have a record, give it to us.' And that's been really nice. And the beauty about this record is that usually we have Andy Sneap mix our record, so we usually write a record and give it to him and then it's done, written in stone, can't go back. But this record, we had to pick a somebody to mix it, which wasn't available till early next year, January. So we decided, 'Okay.' We tried to get all the tracking done before we went to Europe this June or July, and we got most of it done. And right now, Steve's [DiGiorgio, TESTAMENT bassist] finishing the bass this week, Eric's finishing up his rhythm guitars. I've still got three songs to sing. Alex [Skolnick, TESTAMENT guitarist] hasn't started on his lead yet. So between this tour and then after the U.S. tour, we get another break where Alex will finish up, we'll do the background vocals and get a chance to really live with the songs, talk about it and maybe go back and change some things or maybe add something, which we never had that opportunity to do before. So I think that's one difference on this record that we get to live with it and make sure it's right."

In August, Billy told Oran O'Beirne of Overdrive.ie about the musical direction of the new TESTAMENT material: "We always try to outdo ourselves or make a better record or write better songs. It's always a challenge for ourselves, and I think this time we really took a long time to create the record. We kind of got everybody in the same room to really go through the songs and kind of put their two cents in to the arrangements. I think by having Chris — he's a younger drummer, a really great drummer — but I think he brought you know a new fire to Eric in the writing process. And I believe because we're going on 37 years of making records, it's kind of full circle right now. We're kind of inspired by new generation, I guess, of music and metal. And Chris is a big part of that. He's a big fan of that. So I think he inspired Eric just to write some really aggressive, fast, creative riffs. And it really inspired me to really push myself to try to do a little more screaming, death vocals, melodic stuff. We even went as far as writing — I don't wanna say 'ballad', but it's something really catchy that's really slow that's something we haven't done in over 30 years. So I think just the overall songs and the confidence in the writing this time really is gonna stand out on this record."

This past June, Chuck told Nikki Blakk of the San Francisco, California radio station 107.7 The Bone about the lyrical themes covered in the new TESTAMENT songs: "[It's] not as focused [on], like, the aliens, creating mankind and that kind of stuff, but there is some of that. There's a lot. Each song definitely has its own identity lyrically. And again, we're writing stuff that is real, that happens with the environment; we're singing about that again. A.I., we're singing stuff about that. That's a big thing. So, there's always an inspiration for songs. I think it's a little easier. There's so much going on in our world to write about now. It's a crazy world today, so there's a lot of stuff to talk about. And I like singing about what's real and what's going on instead of some fantasy lyrics, because, for me, I think when I sing 'em, I have more conviction, I believe in 'em a little more. And maybe it's easier for me to remember the lyrics live. [Laughs]"

Naming specific tracks, Chuck said: "There's a song, 'Havana Syndrome', which is about the Havana Syndrome. People, look that up. There's 'Infanticide A.I.', which is another song going A.I. direction. And there's actually a slower song. We haven't done a slower song. I'm not gonna say 'ballad', but I'm gonna say a slower song that has a lot of groove and soul, called 'Meant To Be'. And it's like a classic TESTAMENT-type ballad, I guess, if you wanna use that word. But we've got a little bit of everything, but, again, I think it's really sticking to TESTAMENT, having to have some melodic stuff, even though there's some really brutal lyrics and real brutal, more of a death voice. I still put the hook in with more of a melodic hook or something. It's still classic TESTAMENT. If you listen to it, you'll go, 'That's TESTAMENT, but a little more octane to it.'"

Also in June, Chuck told Canada's The Metal Voice that he writes most of TESTAMENT's lyrics with Del James. "Del, he works with GUNS N' ROSES," Chuck said. "He's been working with them and wrote with them a long time ago. I think he had big hits like 'November Rain' with them. And we've been working [together] for over 20 years. So I always go down and work with him because I come up with a lot of the ideas and concepts, but he really interprets and gets the right words, how to say what I'm thinking. And we work fast. When we get together, we'll knock out like two songs in a day. So we don't mess around. We get there, say hello to each other, we sit down and we go right to work. It's about what we do."

Prior to joining TESTAMENT as a full-time member, Dovas filled in for Lombardo on the first six dates of TESTAMENT's summer/fall 2022 leg of "The Bay Strikes Back Tour".

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD On His Love Of LADY GAGA: 'I'll Still Be Banging My Head To 'Paparazzi' On My Deathbed'

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD On His Love Of LADY GAGA: 'I'll Still Be Banging My Head To 'Paparazzi' On My Deathbed'

In a new interview with Houston Chronicle, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford was asked which pop artists are currently on his playlist. He responded: "Chappell [Roan] is amazing. I turned on to [Lady] Gaga instantly. Her talent is just extraordinary. And she says she's a huge fan of Chappell. The way that the torch is passed from performer to performer, artist to artist, it's a beautiful thing to do.

"What's remarkable about people like Gaga or Taylor Swift is their longevity," he continued. "They're called pop artists. Is that the right word to call them? I don't know. But pop, for as long as I can remember, for the most part, and don't get me wrong here, it's almost dispensable because there's so much of it. It's such a beautiful expression. It's like catching fireflies. Pop songs can be gigantic, and then you'll never hear them again. But then you'll get a Madonna or a Cher or a Gaga, or hopefully Chappell or a Taylor Swift. The way they craft their music, it becomes immortal. I'll still be banging my head to 'Paparazzi' on my deathbed. I don't know whether it's because I'm a gay man and I just have this joy and love of all things creative and arts, I absorb it. I don't believe in barriers. I don't believe in walls. I don't believe in censorship. I think that all music is a feast. All of it touches me in various ways. And I translate all of that into my own work."

Halford previously spoke about his love of Lady Gaga in a September 2020 interview with People. Asked which songs he would want to perform with Lady Gaga if he was to ever share the stage with the pop superstar, he said: "I would definitely do 'Born This Way' because that's our anthem," referring to the LGBTQ community. "As far as PRIEST songs go, I think I'd like to do 'Breaking The Law' with her because it talks about the frustration that we go through, particularly as young people. 'You don't know what it's like, you haven't got a clue. You'd do the same thing too. Breaking the law.'"

Halford told People that he "instantly knew" Lady Gaga "was going to be gigantic as an artist" when he first discovered her music. "I became a big fan of everything that she's done and that's because I love all kinds of music," he said. "She's the best at what she does."

Halford also recalled the time she met Lady Gaga when he showed up — with mutual friend Lady Starlight — to the pop singer's 2014 "ArtRave" tour in San Diego as a surprise.

"When Gaga started her performance, me and Starlight snuck out into the audience," he recalled. "I was clapping and hooting and hollering like fans, and Gaga's making her way out to them and then she sees us, and she literally falls to her knees and crumbles onto the floor. And Starlight's digging me in the ribs going, 'See, I knew she'd be happy that you were here.'"

Rob added: "She's so pure, she's so in touch with herself as a person, and the great, great, great, great things that she's done for the LGBTQ community."

Back in May 2015, Halford revealed to Yahoo! Music that during one of the London gigs on JUDAS PRIEST's "Epitaph" tour, Gaga was planning to appear as a special guest. "Gaga called and said, 'Can I get on the back of Rob's bike when he comes out and we'll do 'Hell Bent For Leather'?" he said. "I was like, 'Oh my God! Diva moment. Please let this happen!' But she couldn't do it. She ended up doing a shoot in Omaha, Nebraska, that took a week." He added: "If that isn't a nice affirmation that someone with extraordinary talent that isn't metal can still gravitate to the metal experience, I don't know what is."

Lady Gaga previously spoke about her love for IRON MAIDEN and BLACK SABBATH, calling the experience of seeing MAIDEN for the first time a "life-changing" event. The singer also appeared in photos with Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Alice Cooper and ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante.

Lady Gaga sang the song "Moth Into Flame" with METALLICA at the 59th annual Grammy Awards in 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

INTO ETERNITY Is Working On First New Studio Album In Six Years

INTO ETERNITY Is Working On First New Studio Album In Six Years

In a new interview with This Day In Metal, vocalist Stu Block confirmed that INTO ETERNITY is working on a new studio album. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's gonna be slow going. We're gonna make sure it's right — make sure it's released right, make sure the music's right, make sure everything is right. We don't have a record label breathing down our neck, so we wanna release something that we're very happy with and not forced to do. So we're taking it on our own time. So definitely an INTO ETERNITY album will be happening."

Block also revealed that he is making a solo album. "I'm working with a few different people," he said. "I'm not really wanting to release who yet. But definitely working with a few amazing musicians that a lot of people know. And I think it's gonna be super, super killer."

In August 2021, Stu announced his permanent return to his pre-ICED EARTH band INTO ETERNITY.

Block, who left INTO ETERNITY in 2011 and was replaced by Amanda Kiernan, broke the news of his official reunion with his former bandmates two days after he performed live with them at the Loud As Hell festival in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.

Stu took to his social media at the time to share the following message: "What an amazing time with @into_eternity_official at the @loudashellfestival !! I had such a killer time with my brothers Matt, Tim, Troy and Bryan and sister from another mister Amanda!!

"Soooooo I'm sure you are all speculating if I will be coming back to INTO ETERNITY permanently and the answer is............YES!!! I will be coming back sharing lead vocal duties with the amazing Amanda Kiernan!

"The insane talent that is in this band needs to be showcased to the world again through new recordings and some touring… We can't wait!!!"

Before joining INTO ETERNITY in 2005, Block began his musical career singing for various bands in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After two albums with INTO ETERNITY, Block joined ICED EARTH in 2011, with whom he recorded three LPs: "Dystopia" (2011),"Plagues Of Babylon" (2014) and "Incorruptible" (2017).

Block and ICED EARTH bassist Luke Appleton quit the band in the wake of leader Jon Schaffer's involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot, with guitarist Jake Dreyer also believed to have departed.

INTO ETERNITY's most recent album, "The Sirens", was released in 2018.

Norway's MANES Sign With Avantgarde Music; To Burn Is To Shine Album Due In 2025

Norway's MANES Sign With Avantgarde Music; To Burn Is To Shine Album Due In 2025

e legendary Manes has both inked a deal with Avantgarde Music and announced a brand-new album, To Burn Is To Shine, which will be unveiled in 2025. To Burn Is To Shine will serve as the full-length follow-up to the highly acclaimed masterpiece that is Slow Motion Death Sequence (2018).

A proud product of Trondheim, Manes was formed in 1992. Manes is rightly regarded as one of the most important acts in the history of black metal for their early work. However, from Vilosophe (2003) onward, the band has led a second life as a no less brilliant experimental entity, seamlessly fusing eclectic elements of various genres. Manes is totally unlike any project that is or ever was, minus the other creations of their driving force, Tor-Helge "Cernunnus" Skei.

Through the years, Skei's genius has never ceased to astound us but only continues to surprise and delight us. Besides Skei, Manes' core members are the revered Torstein Parelius, Rune Hoemsnes, and Eivind Fjøseide. The phenomenally gifted Asgeir Hatlen also serves as a loyal fixture. In addition, Manes has name

the new single and lyric video, "Time".

Says Convulse: "In June 2024 we recorded four new songs at Saarisound Studio (Nokia Finland), and we focused on live playing and our unique trio sound during these recording sessions. Playing live together is a very natural way to work for us at the studio. Personally, I try to avoid overproduction, because I want to keep the songs as we have composed and rehearsed them. If the arrangement of the song doesn't sound good enough, it's not worth recording it. Only vocals are recorded afterwards to get the best result on this process and way towards clean singing.

"'Time' is an independent and the first single release from these studio sessions, and it is timely attention for the consequences of our actions. We have connected all the people just to express our rage, fear, a

SUNSTORM Release "Love's Not Gone" Music Video

SUNSTORM Release "Love's Not Gone" Music Video

AOR/melodic rock quintet, Sunstorm, have released the official video for "Love's Not Gone", the new single from their upcoming third album, Restless Fight, set for release on November 22 via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch below.

Ronnie Romero describes the new single as, “one of my fav songs of the album, it brings back the strength yet melodic elements of Sunstorm’s early era. And Aldo’s work on the guitars is just stunning! Clearly deserved to be one of the singles!”

Sunstorm is a project created, overseen, and directed by Serafino Perugino, President of Frontiers Records, and it was originally designed to showcase a musical style similar to singer Joe Lynn Turner’s melodic rock/AOR roots.

With the new album Restless Fight, the third to feature Ronnie Romero, Sunstorm changed its skin. The new lineup that backs Romero, comes from a heavy background.

On guitars, Aldo Lonobile, musician, songwriter and producer (Geoff Tate's Sweet Oblivion, Archon Angel feat. Zak Stevens, Ring Of Fire feat. Mark Boals), Andrea Arcangeli (from the Italian progressive metal band DGM) on bass, Alfonso Mocerino (ex-Temperance, Virtual Simmetry) on drums and Antonio Agate (one of the most talented Italian keyboard players and arranger for symphonic orchestras, featured in countless albums) on keyboards. It brings back the Sunstorm’s classic AOR/hard rock formula with a strongest dose of energy, reaching a more dynamic and bombastic approach.

Since the inception of the new album’s production, the discussion was centered on the concept to keep the roots of Sunstorm’s musical style: the AOR sound of the early records that everyone wanted, but with a special attention to the 80’s way to arrange the guitars and keys in order to reach more powerful vibrations. The aim was to give a fresh appeal to the new music so that it could be the perfect foundation for Romero, that with his powerful vocal style, once again is the perfect fit to deliver the goods for the music.

The result is Restless Fight, an album where Ronnie’s vocal acrobatics sit perfectly into Lonobile’s way to play guitars, clearly influenced by the 80’s guitar heroes such as Jake E. Lee/Steve Stevens, to name a few.

Restless Fight stands pretty tall in its own right and Sunstorm are here to stay with a lot more to say. Pre-order the album here.

Restless Fight tracklisting:

"I’ll Stand For You"
"Love’s Not Gone"
"Hope’s Last Stand"
"Shot In The Dark"
"Without You"

"Running To You"
"Against The Storm"
"In & Out"

SABATON's JOAKIM BRODÉN On Surviving In Music Business In 2024: 'We Can Only Accept The Facts And Deal With It'

SABATON's JOAKIM BRODÉN On Surviving In Music Business In 2024: 'We Can Only Accept The Facts And Deal With It'

In a new interview with Rodrigo Altaf of Sonic Perspectives, SABATON frontman Joakim Brodén was asked if he and his bandmates are bothered by the fact that not many people are paying for music nowadays and whether it affects their mindset while working on new albums. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Nah, not really. Well, yeah, I agree in that sense — it's a shame that nobody values… There's a lot of people who value music, but the general public, in many cases, see it as background noise today. However, in the metal scene, I think there are enough people who care about it. And we don't wanna be a band who's living off what we did 20 years ago. We're still young and sharp enough to be able to produce decent tracks every now and then. So, we figured for as long as we can and want to, we wanna keep this going. I mean, it's not like it's something bad. We enjoy recording music. We enjoy writing music. We enjoy touring. And if we can make a living out of that, we're gonna keep doing it."

After Altaf suggested that bands like SABATON have to find new ways to generate revenue that doesn't involve sale of their music, Joakim concurred. "Yeah, absolutely," he said. "I mean, in a sense, it's a big part of the income that's gone. The days of a really high fees for shows, they're still there, but there's so many people in between squeezing there, and there's a percentage on the merchandise to be paid, so I know a lot of a lot of tours these days wouldn't be economically viable if it wasn't for VIP experiences. It could be people who want early access, special seating, stuff like that. Unfortunately, I think it's a shame, but it's the way it is. We can't run the business. We can only accept the facts and deal with it, unfortunately."

Back in December 2022, Brodén spoke to AndrewHaug.com about the realities of post-pandemic touring, including increased travel expenses — gas, tour buses, hotels and flight costs. He said: "It's tricky in a sense… A lot of us — not only us, but a lot of bands — have tours with tickets sold a long time ago that have been postponed. And those tickets are sold with a special calculation in mind, that these are our costs, and that's what we need to be able to make. So there's the reason as well for a lot of bands that even if they sold out a show, they're gonna lose money because of the increased costs. So it is a bit of a struggle for a lot of bands. Luckily enough, we're not in danger of becoming bankrupt, so for us it's more of a situation — luckily enough — that we aren't really making much money but we aren't, on the other hand, on the brink of extinction either."

SABATON recently announced that over 700 cinemas spanning 26 territories are taking part in the global premiere of their explosive concert film "Sabaton - The Tour To End All Tours" in Europe. The event will also land in nearly 500 North American cinemas for two nights only — October 30 and October 31. Go here to find the cinema and screening location nearest you and to purchase tickets.

Other participating countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K.

The "Sabaton - The Tour To End All Tours" concert film was recorded at the sold-out Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, where 16,000 fans gathered to watch the band during their 2023 European tour.

SABATON is currently serving as main support to JUDAS PRIEST on the legendary heavy metal band's fall 2024 North American tour.

In the more than two decades since their launch, SABATON have achieved quadruple-platinum sales, headlined major festivals and sold-out arena concerts across the globe, and earned a legion of loyal fans by carving out a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in rock. SABATON combines standout stage design and production with epic concept albums, linking real-life historical war events with classic kick-ass metal. To date, the band has released ten studio albums, amassed six gold, two platinum and one four-times-platinum awards, seen eight of its albums score Top 10 international chart status, and six claim the Top 5. The band has earned eight Metal Hammer/Golden Gods Awards nominations, taking home the award for "Breakthrough Artist" in 2011 and "Best Live Band" in three different years, and a Grammis nomination (Swedish equivalent to the U.S. Grammy) as "Best Heavy Metal" band. SABATON has also accumulated more than two billion streams across all streaming platforms.

Finland's PESTILENT SCARS Release New Single "A Reaching Hand"

Finland's PESTILENT SCARS Release New Single "A Reaching Hand"

Pestilent Scars is a five-piece melodic death metal band from Oulu, Finland. All members are between 18 and 19 years old, and he band's central themes focus on melodic songwriting, pure emotion, tight gigs and overall the old school way of getting around.

The band will release their debut album, Meadows Of Misfortune, on January 17th, 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single, "A Reaching Hand" is out today and it's available on all essential streaming services here.

Guitarist / songwriter Elias Vierimaa comments:

"Mostly my writing comes straight from the heart. When I write music it has to come naturally. Melodies are very important to me and that's why we have lot of melodic riffs in our songs. It tells you a story, it's not basic death metal. I feel like I can show much more about myself with melodies. It's something that I do. I don't think a lot about which bands have inspired me, but i have to say that gothenburg's melodic death metal scene from 90's has inspired me a lot. But our music still has that Finnish melancholy. Both Finnish and Swedish melodic death metal is very important to me."

Pestilent Scars was born in the winter of 2022 / 2023. The

YOUR INLAND EMPIRE, The Entity Once Known As CROWN, Signs To Season Of Mist; Video

YOUR INLAND EMPIRE, The Entity Once Known As CROWN, Signs To Season Of Mist; Video

A sonic evolution is about to being – moments come that mark the dawn of a renaissance, a rebirth through frames of raw sound and throbbing industrial pulse. Today, such a moment unfurls as Season Of Mist welcomes Your Inland Empire, the entity once known as Crown, into its revered fold.

Forged in the crucible of shadow and light, Your Inland Empire arises an an exemplification of eternal transformation. The renown they garnered as Crown was but a harbinger of what is to come. Their last album, The End Of All Things, was a symphony, breathing fragility and ferocity in equal measure, whispering the promise of a revolution. The transition to Your Inland Empire is not just a name change; it is the phoenix rising, a bold venture into uncharted sonic territories where artistry knows no borders.

Stéphane Azam and David Husser, the architects of this boundless empire, have chiseled their vision from the sonic bedrock. Together, their eight-stringed guitars and digital pulses concoct an alchemical sound, a mechanized heart pulsing with human vulnerability.

Their forthcoming album promises a duality that captures the very essence of our existence. Your Inland Empire thrives on introspection, shedding light on our internal conflicts while their melodies traverse realms of bright, inviting tenderness. Each track is a journey through a landscape fraught with tenebrous hopes, where intricate craftsmanship and unyielding drive coalesce.

Official PAUL DI'ANNO Documentary Coming In 2025

Official PAUL DI'ANNO Documentary Coming In 2025

An official documentary about late IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno will be released in 2025. The film is being helmed by Wes Orshoski, co-director and producer of the acclaimed 2010 film "Lemmy" about the MOTÖRHEAD icon, and 2015's "The Damned: Don't You Wish That We Were Dead", about punk rock legends THE DAMNED.

Earlier today (Monday, October 21),Wes took to his Instagram to share more than a dozen photos of Paul, and he included the following message: "R.I.P. Paul. Just learned that Paul Di'Anno has passed. Don't have many details yet. Very sad day.

"As many know, I've been working on a documentary about Paul for the past several years, as he has been fighting to get back on his feet --- literally, emotionally and professionally. It's obviously quite sad that it has ended this way.

"I'm very thankful for the experiences and opportunities I had with Paul, and because of Paul. And I learned a lot from him.

"The film will be out next year, and details will be forthcoming — the hope is for it to debut at film festivals in early 2025. I'm very excited for the MAIDEN faithful to see it. Once it is released you will see just how tough his life has been over the past decade and how hard he fought to change it. Maybe he's finally found some peace.

"Say hi to Clive for us, legend!!! #pauldianno #ironmaiden #killers #wrathchild #cliveburr #runningfree".

This past August, Di'Anno discussed the status of the documentary in an interview with George Dionne of KNAC.COM. Paul said: "Wes is a good mate of ours. He'd done the MOTÖRHEAD rockumentary. He'd done THE DAMNED [one] as well. And he's a great guy. We've had this in the pipeline for a couple of years now. The unfortunate part about it is we had to take our time in between when he can come over and do this. But the unfortunate thing is I'm sitting in a fucking wheelchair, which is a pain in the ass, but what are you gonna do?"

Asked by Dionne if the documentary will focus on a particular portion of Di'Anno's life or if it will cover everything from beginning to end, Paul said: "Everything. But you'll see the determination sometimes and the despair. And it goes through the whole lot of emotions and stuff. It's a bit strange."

Di'Anno added: "I trust Wes. He's got me in all sorts of weird situations. He even wanted to come in and fucking film the operation. And they said, 'No.'"

Di'Anno, whose real name was Paul Andrews, passed away at his home in Salisbury at the age of 66.

Born in Chingford, East London on May 17, 1958, Paul first came to prominence as lead singer of English heavy metal band IRON MAIDEN between 1978 and 1981. He sang on their groundbreaking debut album "Iron Maiden" and the influential follow-up release, "Killers".

Since leaving IRON MAIDEN, Paul Di'Anno had a long and eventful recording career with BATTLEZONE and KILLERS as well as numerous solo releases and guest appearances.

Despite being troubled by severe health issues in recent years that restricted him to performing in a wheelchair, Paul continued to entertain his fans around the world, racking up well over 100 shows since 2023.

His first career retrospective album, "The Book Of The Beast", was released in September 2024 and featured highlights of his recordings since leaving IRON MAIDEN.

In December 2022, Di'Anno spent time in Split, Croatia recording an album with his new project called WARHORSE. The band was formed earlier that year by Di'Anno and two guitarists/authors, Hrvoje Madiraca and Ante "Pupi" Pupačić. The resulting LP was made available in July 2024 under the PAUL DI'ANNO'S WARHORSE banner.

WARHORSE previously recorded three songs, two of which — "Stop The War" and "The Doubt Within" — were released in May 2022 as a special DVD single along with Paul's video message to all fans who bought the single and thus helped raise funds for his knee operation.

The WARHORSE single marked Di'Anno's first music release after a seven-year hiatus due to severe health issues.

Di'Anno, who finally underwent his knee surgery in September 2022, played the first show since the operation on October 1, 2022 at the Keep It True Rising II festival in Würzburg, Germany.

In May 2022, Di'Anno came face to face with MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris for the first time in three decades before the band's concert in Croatia.

Also in May 2022, Paul played his first full solo concert in seven years at the Bikers Beer Factory in Zagreb. The show was filmed and parts of it will be included in the upcoming documentary.

CRADLE OF FILTH Releases New Single 'Malignant Perfection'

CRADLE OF FILTH Releases New Single 'Malignant Perfection'

British extreme metal veterans CRADLE OF FILTH have released a new single. "Malignant Perfection" arrives just in time for the Halloween season, haunting with eerie keys, vampiric atmosphere, intricate riffs and revered frontman Dani Filth's iconic soaring vocals. The track is accompanied by a deliciously dark new official music video, which promises to be only the first of several upcoming visual delights brought to you by CRADLE OF FILTH as they creep closer to the release of their 14th full-length album and Napalm Records studio debut.

Dani Filth divulges about the track and video: "Our new single and video, 'Malignant Perfection', is our horrific homage to All Hallows Eve, as embodied by the female deification of evil. It is a perfect musical accompaniment to the spirit of the witching season; invoking dark, Autumnal splendor and celebrating the time when the thin line between life and death is at its most tenuous and the denizens of the otherworld seek to break the veil into ours.

"The video, directed by the imitable Vicente Cordero and featuring the creative masterstrokes of one Missy Munster, is a playground of seductive darkness rife with malicious monsters and cryptid creations, all vying voraciously for the viewer's eternal soul.

"This comes at a perfect juncture for the Halloween period and our 'By Order Of The Dragon' U.K./European Autumn tour. It also arrives on the back of a sensational collaboration with massive fashion label Vetement and also Blackcraft Clothing, and in the fiery wake of a successful sold-out Australian tour."

In a recent interview with Jorge Botas of Portugal's Metal Global, Dani said that "Malignant Perfection" is "the first of a few singles before the [new CRADLE OF FILTH] album drops at the end of March, beginning of April."

Regarding how he thinks fans will react to the new CRADLE OF FILTH material, Dani said: "I think they're gonna love it. It's just part of the evolution of CRADLE. I mean, people ask me to describe it and it's very hard to describe it. I'm not gonna say, 'You know what? This is our 'Cold Lake'," referencing CELTIC FROST's much-maligned 1988 album. "It's just the next evolutionary step for CRADLE. It's got everything. There's a lot of things that hark back atmospherically and indeed musically in places to early CRADLE stuff. But then there's a lot of very modern CRADLE. It's got everything."

Asked if it is still important for him and his CRADLE OF FILTH bandmates to make new music to challenge themselves, Dani said: "I don't think it's about challenging ourselves. It's just finding an outlet for all this pent-up emotion. We're not gonna be stopping with this record. The reason this record and the last record were slightly delayed was obviously because we had that fucking great pandemic happen. We're actually writing new material now. We're trying to speed up the process. So we'll have a new record in '27, beginning of '27, if not sooner. But, obviously, there are events and especially milestones as well. So it's very important not to overcook the pudding and do too much and dilute. And everything we do, we wanna make it as good as possible. We don't release an album until we're happy with it."

Dani continued: "People are gonna love the production on this record. The production is fucking amazing. And it's got everything. It's got some really catchy songs. It's got some really — well, even the songs that are catchy have really fucking heavy parts in them. And catchy doesn't necessarily mean not extreme. So, yeah, it's another CRADLE OF FILTH record, but it's more than just another CRADLE OF FILTH record. It's another milestone."

This past May, Filth told Australia's Heavy about the progress of the recording sessions for the band's follow-up to 2021's "Existence Is Futile" album: "We've already done our [collaborative] track with [pop superstar and noted CRADLE OF FILTH fan] Ed Sheeran, although that'll be probably coming out on the special edition of the new album, but I can't really talk much more about that, all legalities and what have you."

He continued: "The album we started [in] July [2023], and our record company was, like, 'Why are you taking so long?' It's, like, 'Well, because we're on tour.' We started the album [and then] we literally went off on tour for two months. So, yeah, we've been very, very busy."

Asked about the musical direction of the new CRADLE OF FILTH material, Dani said: "It's a step on from the last record. Same production values, same producer, although we always approach it from a different way, so it does sound a lot different. I can't go too much into it because no matter what I say, it's not really gonna justify or do do justice to the tracks on there. It's very hard to explain. It's got [elements of] 'Dusk... And Her Embrace' vibe-wise. Vocally, it's a bit of everything. It's an aggressive record. It's a very catchy record. Yeah, it's just something that's gonna really please our fans. We've worked very hard on it. And the last record was received really well, 'Existence Is Futile'. It's an advancement from that. But it's not because I'm being told, 'Keep it calm. You can't talk about the record yet.' It's very difficult to talk about something that's got so much in it."

Last year, CRADLE OF FILTH released its first live album in over 20 years, "Trouble And Their Double Lives", via Napalm Records. The LP was recorded between 2014 and 2019 at different performances in the USA, Europe, Australia and beyond during the band's "Cryptoriana" world tour and dates following. Produced, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios, with recording captured by Danny B, the effort not only featured a slew of fan favorites encompassing the band's discography but also two bonus tracks and two entirely brand new songs, "She Is A Fire" and "Demon Prince Regent".

Asked in an interview with Decibel if the two new songs on the record indicate what the next CRADLE OF FILTH album will sound like, Dani said: "Maybe a little bit but no. It's pretty hard to explain, I can't really talk about it. The new album has a 'Dusk… And Her Embrace' vibe to it. But no, we moved on from that. We started writing as a collective after that, these were stopgap songs that originally were intended toward a new album but because of the pandemic, it delayed everything and they found themselves out there. We just thought it was best to put them on the new record."

He added: "A record takes up so much of your time. It's a monument to a band's career, a lot of effort gone into it, a lot of time gone into it. It deserves its own sort of place and each album will have its own unique identity that's in place due to whatever outside due influence is happening at the time. People in the band, when they recorded, there's so many things that determine what an album's about. Of course each and every one is hopefully going to have a very strong and different identity to the previous one and also the future one."

In May 2023, Dani was asked by BLABBERMOUTH.NET if he envisions the next CRADLE OF FILTH studio album staying in the same vein as "Cryptoriana" or "Existence Is Futile". He responded: "It's not going to be a million miles away from that. I've been working on some of the material today. We're putting the finishing touches on the songs we're going to record, whether all of them make the grade or not. It has a 'Dusk… And Her Embrace' vibe to them. Musically, it plays across 'Dusk' and 'Midian', but lyrically, and the vibe of it, it has a 'Dusk… And Her Embrace' feel to it. I don't know why. History repeats itself. Maybe it's because we wrote 'Dusk' around this particular time of year, but it has that vibe. It sounds great, but I would say that, wouldn't I?"

GLENN HUGHES Reflects On Joining DEEP PURPLE In 1973 - "For Me To Actually Join A Band Where They Were Going To Be Getting Another Lead Singer, It Was A Bit Weird For Me"

GLENN HUGHES Reflects On Joining DEEP PURPLE In 1973 - "For Me To Actually Join A Band Where They Were Going To Be Getting Another Lead Singer, It Was A Bit Weird For Me"

Rock legend Glenn Hughes is featured in a new interview with The Rockpit out of Australia. he looks back on his career with Deep Purple and discusses his current tour, 50 Years Of Burn. Following is an excerpt.

Q: When it comes to joining Deep Purple back in late 1973, with the departure of Ian Gillan and Roger Glover from the band, did you have any idea what Deep Purple would look like in that incarnation?

Glenn: "I joined before David (Coverdale), and it was weird for me that they were looking for another singer as well, because I was singing Trapeze. You’re too young to know that, but I was a lead singer myself. So, for me to actually join a band where they were going to be getting another lead singer, it was a bit weird for me, but I went, 'You know, there’s something to this that might be good.' And sure enough, when David joined, David and I, we shared a lot of vocals together, shared a lot of songs together. We had a great partnership singing."

Q: Working with a young unknown at that stage in David Coverdale, what was that like? What did you find that he brought to the band and especially Burn?

Glenn: "When he passed the audition they didn’t tell him for like two weeks. They kept him waiting. When they did get a hold of him, David came down to see me at my house and we became very fast friends, as we were going to be singing these songs together, so my friendship has been very good with him from all these years ago. He’s got a great voice, he is a funny guy, and I think the vocal arrangement and the partnership we had vocally on the Burn album, Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band is exceptional."

FATE Share New Single "Hold On"; Visualizer Video Streaming

Legendary Danish band, Fate, share their new single, “Hold On”, taken from their new studio album, Reconnect ‘N Ignite, which was released on October 18 via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch the official visualizer video below, and pre-order Reconnect ‘N Ignite here.

Guitarist Torben Enevoldsen expressed his excitement for the new album, by saying: “We are very much looking forward to “Reconnect 'N Ignite”, and can't wait for everyone to hear the new songs. We are all very excited about the new material and are anxious to present it to our fans, old and new ones alike!”

Originally formed in late '84 in Copenhagen by Hank Sherman following his departure from Mercyful Fate, the band got their first record deal with the Danish EMI, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1985.

1988 saw the first line-up change in the history of Fate, as Hank Sherman left the combo and the band entered a difficult period of their career, until the release of Scratch N Sniff, in 1990, when the guys returned to their initial strongest sound and becoming a more mature band, this also thanks to the new powerhouse singer Peer Johansson.

Peer's powerful voice was the major addition to the sound of the band and his input on Scratch N Sniff was tremendous. After several tours in 1990/91, Fate was joined by a new guitarist: the talented Søren Hoff and they started to record new demos before to split up.

In 2006 Fate released V, after getting together to perform at the prestigious Deep Impact Festival in Germany in 2005. The band got so many good responses from fans and media that they decided to continue.

In the beginning of 2011 Danish guitar hero Torben Enevoldsen (Section A/ Fatal Force) replaced Søren Hoff, and the band recorded Ghost From The Past and later in 2013 If Not For The Devil.
