KANSAS Streaming "Point Of Know Return" From Upcoming Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond Album; Audio

KANSAS Streaming "Point Of Know Return" From Upcoming Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond Album; Audio

Kansas, America’s legendary progressive rock band, will release their new live album, Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond, on May 28. This is the first live album since 2017 for the band that has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and is famous for classic hits such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust In The Wind", to progressive epics like "Song for America".

Fans can pre-order at kansasband.com. Listen to "Point Of Know Return" from the upcoming release, below.

Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond is co-produced by Phil Ehart and Richard Williams, and is recorded and mixed by Chad Singer. The album features 22 songs selected from 12 shows recorded in 2019 and 2020 during Kansas’s Point Of Know Return Anniversary Tour. The setlist includes classic hits, deep cuts, and culminates with the band’s sextuple-platinum album, Point Of Know Return, performed in its entirety.

Following the success of the band’s Leftoverture Anniversary Tour, Kansas followed that tour up with the even more popular Point Of Know Return Anniversary Tour. The overwhelming success of that tour, and the previous live album, Leftoverture Live & Beyond, led the band, along with Inside Out Music, to release selected songs from the tour as a live album.

“We knew we wanted to release a live album of the Point Of Know Return Anniversary Tour. Being unable to tour for more than a year has given us the opportunity to work on Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond and release it for our fans who are missing live concerts as much as we are,” said Kansas drummer and album co-producer, Phil Ehart. “When we discussed who would mix the album, we thought the best possible person would be the guy who mixes the band live every night and recorded the shows on the road. Nobody knows better how Kansas sounds live than our front of house engineer, Chad Singer!”

“This live album sounds great,” adds Kansas guitarist and album co-producer, Richard Williams. “We wanted to make sure this album captures and represents how Kansas sounds live in concert. Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond does just that.”

Along with original Kansas band members Phil Ehart on drums and Richard Williams on lead guitar, Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond, features Tom Brislin on keyboards and vocals, Billy Greer on bass and vocals, Ronnie Platt on lead vocals and keyboards, David Ragsdale on violin and vocals, and Zak Rizvi on guitar and vocals.

Point Of Know Return Live & Beyond, will be released May 28 via Inside Out Music and is distributed by The Orchard. The album will be available as a double CD digipak, triple 180-gram vinyl + 2 CD box-set, and digitally on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, iTunes, and other fine digital retailers.

PAUL STANLEY On Possibility Of New KISS Music: 'Never Say Never'

PAUL STANLEY On Possibility Of New KISS Music: 'Never Say Never'

Paul Stanley says that he hasn't completely ruled out the possibility of KISS producing new music before finally calling it quits at the end of its farewell tour.

KISS hasn't released a full-length disc of new music since 2012's "Monster", which sold 56,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous LP, "Sonic Boom", opened with 108,000 units back in October 2009 to enter the chart at No. 2. It was KISS's highest-charting LP ever.

Stanley, who is promoting the debut album from his SOUL STATION project, was asked in a new interview with MoshTalks Cover Stories if the fact that he has written his last KISS song changes the way he writes music nowadays. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I never thought of that. I guess I never say never, so the idea that I've written my last KISS song, I assume that's so, but I never even thought of it, 'cause who knows? I certainly don't. I'm enjoying everything that goes on, and I try not to get too deep into those nuances."

Paul's latest comments come just a week after he told USA Today in an interview that he doesn't really see a "reason" for KISS to make any new music. "For the most part, when classic bands put out new albums, they're looked at and listened to and thrown away because they don't have the gravitas, they don't have the age that comes with something being a time capsule or being attached to a certain period of your life," he said. "I'm not alone in that. When you see any classic bands on TV or if there's a concert video, turn off the sound and I'll tell you every time they're playing a new song because the audience sits down.

"So it's odd to me that people always want you to do a new album, but then they go, 'That's great. Now play your hits.' So honestly, at this point, there isn't a real reward in it. There's much more of a reward in changing lanes — I'm still going forward. But in terms of recording more KISS material, I kind of go, 'Why?' I thought 'Modern Day Delilah' or 'Hell Or Hallelujah' were as good as anything I've written and as good as anything we recorded, but understandably, it's like new wine. It just hasn't aged. So I'd rather not try to roll a stone up the hill."

Paul had previously expressed uncertainty about the idea of making another KISS album in a number of other interviews, telling the "Loudwire Podcast": "If we're going to do an album, it would be because we want to do an album, not because of sales. I think we're living in a time, obviously, now where albums don't sell what they once did, so you either do it because it's a creative outlet and because it satisfies something in you, or not. If you're doing it purely for sales, then you're probably doing it for the wrong reason."

Paul's comments were echoed by his bandmate Gene Simmons, who said that he was "not incentivized" to release another KISS disc unless there are some major changes in the way music is consumed. He said: "The idea that you work your ass off and then someone with freckles on their face decides they want to download your music and file share — that's not what I work for. How'd you like to be a plumber, come over somebody's house and work all day to fix their plumbing and then when it's time to get paid, they say, 'No, I just wanted to say thank you.' No."

KISS launched its farewell trek in January 2019 but was forced to put it on hold last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"End Of The Road" was originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021 in New York City but is now expected to last well into 2022.

KISS last performed this past New Year's Eve in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The concert broke Guinness world records for highest flame projection in a music concert and for most flame projections launched simultaneously in a music concert.

KISS's current lineup consists of original members Stanley and Simmons, alongside later band additions, guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).

GENE SIMMONS Was 'Blown Away' By BILLIE EILISH Documentary

GENE SIMMONS Was 'Blown Away' By BILLIE EILISH Documentary

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons says that he was "blown away" by "The World's A Little Blurry", the Apple TV+ documentary about singer-songwriter Billie Eilish's rise to global superstardom.

Just a few short years after launching her career by releasing songs with her brother on the Internet, Eilish has become one of the music industry's biggest stars, and even took home the 2020 Grammy Award for "Best New Artist".

On March 12, Gene took to his Twitter to write: "Have to say I was blown away by the @billieeilish Docu. A unique and original artist. Her brother @finneas is a major talent, multi instrumentalist and producer. Catch the Docu #TheWorldsALittleBlurry . You will love Billie Eilish."

"Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry" debuted on Apple TV+ on February 26. The documentary is available to all Apple TV+ subscribers to watch on demand.

From award-winning filmmaker R.J. Cutler, "The World's A Little Blurry" offers a deeply intimate look at this extraordinary teenager's journey, at just 17 years old, navigating life on the road, on stage, and at home with her family, while writing, recording and releasing her debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Simmons previously praised Eilish last December while speaking to Gulf News about rock's supposed diminishing status. Claiming that he loves all the contemporary pop artists, Gene said: "I think Billie Eilish is fantastic. She's interesting because she and her brother actually write the material and are unique to themselves."

Gene's daughter Sophie is also a singer-songwriter whose hit single with DJ Felix Cartal, "Mine", recently went platinum.

The track was produced by Erik Ron (GODSMACK, DANCE GAVIN DANCE, BUSH) and guitarist Jake Pitts and was accompanied by a music video directed by longtime collaborator Patrick Fogarty and based on a concept written by Biersack.

BLACK VEIL BRIDES celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut, "We Stitch These Wounds", with a brand new, reimagined, re-recorded 2020 edition of the album titled "Re-Stitch These Wounds", released last July via Sumerian Records.

In November 2019, BLACK VEIL BRIDES announced the addition of bassist Lonny Eagleton to the group's ranks. He joined the band as the replacement for Ashley Purdy, who exited the group earlier that month.

Eagleton previously played with Biersack (a.k.a. Andy Black) on his solo tour.

Biersack's memoir, "They Don't Need To Understand: Stories Of Hope, Fear, Family, Life, And Never Giving In", arrived in December via Rare Bird Books.

SALIVA Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of 'Every Six Seconds' With 'Every Twenty Years' EP

SALIVA Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of 'Every Six Seconds' With 'Every Twenty Years' EP

SALIVA will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its breakthrough major label debut, "Every Six Seconds", with a special project called "Every Twenty Years", an EP of classic songs re-recorded with current vocalist Bobby Amaru, on May 7 via Megaforce.

"In the 10 years I've been with the band, I've realized how strong our fan base really is," says Amaru. "I wanted to do something for the fans for embracing me with open arms. Fans have asked me all the time if we ever thought about recording some of the old hits with my voice. I've sang those songs enough that they have become an important chapter of my life. What better way than to revive this album with an EP to mark the 20th anniversary? People of my generation and all around rocked these tunes before and will continue to. 'Every Six Seconds' brought SALIVA abundant success and we are all grateful."

The first single from "Every 20 Years", "Your Disease", is available today. A documentary on the band's journey through the years is also slated for release this spring.

"Every Twenty Years" track listing:

01. Your Disease (2021 Version)

02. Click Click Boom (2021 Version)

03. After Me (2021 Version)

04. Greater Than/Less Than (2021 Version)

05. Spyhunter (2021 Version)

06. Spoonman (2021 Version)

Formed in Memphis is 1996, SALIVA released a self-titled a debut album the following year. After selling 10,000 copies of the self-released album, Island Records took notice of the band. "Every Six Seconds" and its hit singles, the Grammy-nominated "Your Disease" and "Click Click Boom", catapulted SALIVA into the mainstream and is now certified double platinum.

After nearly 15 years, SALIVA parted ways with vocalist Josey Scott. In 2011, Bobby Amaru stepped in to fill the roll, infusing SALIVA with new blood, spirit and an energy similar to that which launched the band's career a decade earlier. From modern metal to straight up hard rock, SALIVA continues to write in-your-face, anthemic songs, and win fans over through tours around the world with the biggest names in rock and appearances on the main stages at countless festivals and the most well-known motorcycle rallies.

This past January, it was announced that SALIVA's previously announced reunion with Scott had " been put on hold" due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Scott broke the news of his return to SALIVA in October 2019 during an appearance on "The Morning Dump", a podcast hosted by "The Big Mad Morning Show" in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the time, Josey said that he wanted to get together with SALIVA and "write a badass record."

SALIVA drummer Paul Crosby addressed Scott's status with the band during an appearance on "The Chuck Shute Podcast". Asked if there are still plans for Josey to reunite with SALIVA for a possible album and/or a tour, Paul said: "Honestly, that is completely his decision. I'm not sure where his head's at. There was talk of all that, and then the pandemic put the brakes on it. And, obviously, we're still dealing with the remnants of the pandemic, so I'm not sure what's gonna play out. All I can is that all that has been put on hold at least for now — till everything clears up, and then maybe we'll revisit it."

SALIVA is:

Bobby Amaru - vocals

Wayne Swinny - guitar

Paul Crosby - drums

Brad Stewart - bass

TOMAHAWK Releases Music Video For 'Predators And Scavengers'

TOMAHAWK Releases Music Video For 'Predators And Scavengers'

TOMAHAWK, the band featuring Duane Denison (THE JESUS LIZARD, UNSEMBLE), Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE, FANTÔMAS), Mike Patton (FAITH NO MORE, MR. BUNGLE) and John Stanier (HELMET, BATTLES), has just released its first full-length album in eight years, "Tonic Immobility", via Ipecac Recordings. The official music video for the disc's latest single, "Predators And Scavengers", can be seen below. The clip was directed, animated and produced by Diego Cumplido.

Denison states: "'Predators And Scavengers' started out as a general observation on the current ecological climate of our planet. Perhaps it could also be applied to the socioeconomic climate as well?"

"Tonic Immobility" is available in the following formats: digital, CD digipak, and 180-gram LP in textured gatefold packaging. Vinyl variants include standard black, coke bottle clear (indie retail exclusive — 5,000 available), opaque metallic silver (Ipecac webstore exclusive — 2000 available), and crystal clear (Newbury Comics exclusive — 1,000 available).

"'Tonic Immobility' could just be something in the air we're feeling," said Denison. "It's been a rough year between the pandemic and everything else. A lot of people feel somewhat powerless and stuck as they're not able to make a move without second guessing themselves or worrying about the outcomes. For as much as the record possibly reflects that, it's also an escape from the realities of the world. We're not wallowing in negativity or getting political. For me, rock has always been an alternate reality to everything else. I feel like this is yet another example."

"Tonic Immobility" track listing:

01. SHHH!

02. Valentine Shine

03. Predators and Scavengers

04. Doomsday Fatigue

05. Business Casual

06. Tattoo Zero

07. Fatback

08. Howlie

09. Eureka

10. Sidewinder

11. Recoil

12. Dog Eat Dog

2013's "Oddfellows" was TOMAHAWK's first CD in over six years.

TOMAHAWK was dormant for five years after releasing a trio of albums: "Tomahawk" in 2001, "Mit Gas" in 2003 and "Anonymous" in 2007.

INHUMAN CONDITION Reveal Rat God Album Artwork By DAN GOLDSWORTHY

INHUMAN CONDITION Reveal Rat God Album Artwork By DAN GOLDSWORTHY

There's a new death metal band on the scene! Inhuman Condition has unveiled the cover art for their debut album, entitled Rat God. The group tapped UK-native artist Dan Goldsworthy (Accept, Cradle Of Filth, Alestorm) for the artwork.

Goldsworthy said: “This project was a huge honor and pleasure to be a part of. Having been a huge fan of Floridian death metal for the better part of three decades, I can’t begin to express how all the guys involved in this album have influenced my own musical and artistic journey (Leprosy and Spiritual Healing are two of my favorite album covers of all time). So, when Jeramie (Kling, drummer) asked me to be on board, I jumped at the chance!

Regarding the cover itself, the band already had a fairly strong idea of the main concept we were going to go for, but gave me the creative control to proceed with my interpretation. Whilst there is a slightly deeper figurative meaning behind the art, in a literal sense I see the main character existing somewhere between Norman Bates and the Picture of Dorian Grey. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t beat the thrash/death metal album art of the late '80s/early '90s, but hopefully this cover does the legacy of that era justice!”

Inhuman Condition recently announced its partnership with Blood Blast Distribution, who will be handling their digital distribution for the album, and with Black Serpent Records who will be releasing the album on vinyl.  No release date has been announced yet.

The trio, which features Terry Butler (Obituary, ex-Death/Massacre/Six Feet Under), Jeramie Kling (Venom Inc., The Absence, Goregäng), and Taylor Nordberg (The Absence, Goregäng) have moved into the post-production phase at Kling and Nordberg’s Smoke & Mirrors Productions in Spring Hill, Florida. Drummer and lyricist Paul Mazurkiewicz (Cannibal Corpse) is featured as a lyricist for two of the band’s songs, while whammy-shenanigan master and former Massacre/Death guitarist Rick Rozz supplies guest guitar solos for three songs.

About the album, Kling said: “We have all 14 songs finished up, but not all of them will end up on the first album, so we’ll have the track-listing and other album info announced soon.  We decided to get Paul (Mazurkiewicz) involved in some of the lyric-writing for the album, which was a blast because he’s such a great lyricist.  We had been chatting with Rick (Rozz) after we split with Massacre last fall and one thing led to another and he ended up coming over and laying down some sweet leads on a few of the songs.”

Mazurkiewicz said: “It’s been a privilege and a pleasure contributing lyrics for Inhuman Condition. Taylor, Jeramie and Terry have created some killer music and skulls are going to be crushed!"

Rozz added: “This was an honor, and very flattering to be invited to do some whammy shenanigans over three killer tunes with the two great musicians that put this together.  Wishing the band all the best, until the end.  Cheers & Peace.”

A few weeks ago, the band released a teaser video with a demo of a new song which can be viewed below.

Jeramie Kling - drums/vocals

PER WIBERG To Release New EP In May

PER WIBERG To Release New EP In May

Swedish multi-instrumentalist Per Wiberg will release his new solo EP, All Is Well In The Land Of The Living, But For The Rest Of Us... Lights Out, on May 14th via Despotz Records.

A sonic craftsman of the highest order, Wiberg’s work has illuminated an array of classic albums (and stages) over the years performing with the likes of Opeth, Spiritual Beggars, and Candlemass as well as Clutch/The Bakerton Group, Switchblade, and Kamchatka to name just a few. However, it’s Wiberg’s solo work that serves as the pinnacle of his odyssey through music. Over three decades of expertise culminate into a sound that is distinctly Per Wiberg’s own.

In 2019, Wiberg released his debut solo offering, Head Without Eyes, consummating his career as a musician with an eruption of soulful song. Nordic prog in a gnawing stew of jolting guitar notes, jangling bones, and emotive melodies, the recording laid bare a beautifully uncharted new terrain that outstripped the laurels of his past and solidified his strong presence as a unique solo artist in his own right.

Aptly titled for these turbulent times, Wiberg’s latest EP, All Is Well In The Land Of The Living, But For The Rest Of Us... Lights Out, is a commanding celebration of innovative rock at its best. Expanding and further evolving his vision, Wiberg adeptly paints the definitive and familiar paradigms of golden age progressive rock with spirited and electrifying twists of dark tone. Listening to a master weave his deep spells, from shadow to light, we are at once entranced and delighted in equal measure as Per Wiberg brews a potent concoction that’s captivating, catchy and forever expansive and impassioned.

From tracks like “All Is Well”, which comes across like Young Gods gone prog, to the haunting and avant-garde “But For The Rest Of Us”, which basks in dark improv in the vein of Alice Coltrane/Sun Ra, Wiberg unfolds his sound out in blankets of fresh atmosphere. “In The Land Of The Living” smashes latter era Sonic Youth alt rock into the heavy fuzzing riffs of King Crimson/Hawkwind with a bassline that has you hitting the steering-wheel across bleak highways while “Lights Out” lies on the melancholic side of Dark Side Of The Moon with Ulver at their most post-pop and early Porcupine Tree at their most anthemic. If you want to hear Swedish progressive metal taken to the next level of dark melodic exploration, you will find your black heart shrouded in a very different kind of heavy with All Is Well In The Land Of The Living...

Per Wiberg’s All Is Well In The Land Of The Living, But For The Rest Of Us... Lights Out will be released on LP and digital formats. Find physical pre-orders at this location and digital orders here.

Tracklisting:

"All Is Well"

GREENLEAF Unveil “March On Higher Ground” Video

GREENLEAF Unveil “March On Higher Ground” Video

Sweden’s finest stoner rock outfit Greenleaf drops its new full-length, Echoes From A Mass, this Friday, March 26 via Napalm Records. The successor to their 2018 epic, Hear The Rivers, is more than ready to spread Greenleaf’s concentrated sludgy energy to all disciples of the genre.

After revealing their album opener “Tides”, followed by blistering second single, “Love Undone”, the thrilling quartet now unveils their final harbinger and third offering, while presenting another spark of their multifaceted universe: “March On Higher Grounds” delivers a dusting of desert-vibes, merging with a truly catchy refrain, and is accompanied by an official music video that authentically presents Greenleaf in their studio surroundings, boiling with stoner rock’s finest ingredients. Their main influences are made of prog and psychedelic impact, adding a rousing vortex to the Swedes sonic offering. Heavy desert riffs, sprawling drum parts, catchy melodies and grooving rhythms make their new record an absolute eye-catcher.

Once again, Greenleaf prove that they dare to think outside the box and deliver a heavy roller comprised of Sebastian Olsson’s rumbling drumming performance, fuzzy guitars, Fröhlich’s haunting bass lines, Arvid Hällagård’s powerful yet ghoulish vocals and undeniable, heavy stoner, southern desert and blues vibes. Echoes From A Mass was recorded at Studio Gröndahl in October 2020 by former band member Karl Daniel Lidén, who also mixed and mastered the record at Tri-Lamb Studios. Lidén is recognized for his work with well-known acts such as Katatonia, Bloodbath, Lowrider and Crippled Black Phoenix, to name a few.

WITHERFALL Release Video For "The Unyielding Grip Of Each Passing Day"

WITHERFALL Release Video For "The Unyielding Grip Of Each Passing Day"

Witherfall has released a video for "The Unyielding Grip Of Each Passing Day", from their new album, Curse Of Autumn. The clip, which can be seen below, showcases the stellar technical qualities of the individual members of the band - in particular drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Necrophagist, Jordan Rudess, Kreator) and bassist Anthony Crawford (Chon, Alan Holdsworth, Virgil Donati).

Witherfall talk about the song and video: "Witherfall approaches writing music more like a classical composer would than a common modern metal band. Sometimes the ideas for a composition span more than the logical breadth of one song. A good example is the three song 'Curse Of Autumn' suite. This piece contains within it the songs: 'Curse Of Autumn', 'The Unyielding Grip Of Each Passing Day' and 'The Other Side Of Fear'. If you listen to those songs in sequence you will understand how they were written together. The video features an instrumental play through featuring the monster rhythm section of Marco Minnemann and Anthony Crawford, filmed by Bradley Cooper at Doghouse Studios."

Tracklisting:

"Deliver Us Into The Arms Of Eternal Silence"
"The Last Scar"
"As I Lie Awake"
"Another Face"
"Tempest"
"Curse Of Autumn"
"The Unyielding Grip Of Each Passing Day"

DRACONIAN To Release Monumental Full-Length, Under A Godless Veil, On Picture Vinyl

DRACONIAN To Release Monumental Full-Length, Under A Godless Veil, On Picture Vinyl

Almost five years after the release of their long-player Sovran, Draconian unveiled their highly acclaimed epos and seventh full-length, Under A Godless Veil, in October 2020 via Napalm Records. Entering the charts in several countries, this prodigious album marks the unit's most successful record to date. It delivers a captivating mélange of dreary doom and contrasting vocals, and mixes Heike Langhans' angelic voice with Anders Jakobsson's death growls. Now, this intoxicating piece of art will be released as an atmosphericly conceptualized picture vinyl, out April 23rd 2021.

Draconian on Under A Godless Veil:

“To Draconian, Under A Godless Veil is by far the most diverse album we have created. Inspired by some of the music closest to Johan’s heart; everything from traditional doom to scaled-down, Gothic rock-inspired pieces and more. Some will perhaps describe the songs as more refined and meditative. Some ambient elements have been added to the mix without overshadowing the traditional characteristics that are Draconian.

Resonating with the compositions, Anders’ lyrical direction is ambiguous and a progression of the first two or three albums, yet more subtle while embracing the Gnostic philosophy more directly. One could say Under A Godless Veil is an act of contemplation; About living and dying and remembering who we are in a strange, abrasive world far from home.”

Pre-order Under A Godless Veil on picture vinyl here.

The one-hour long album, graced  with haunting cover artwork by Natalia Drepina, carries the legacy of gothic doom metal à la My Dying Bride or Trees Of Eternity into the new decade and will drag the listener into a sorrowful cosmos with the very first notes of spellbinding opener "Sorrow Of Sophia“, interweaving beauty with crippling depression.

Tracklisting:

"Sorrow Of Sophia"
"The Sacrificial Flame"
"Lustrous Heart"
"Sleepwalkers"
"Moon Over Sabaoth"
"Burial Fields"
"The Sethian"
"Claw Marks On The Throne"
"Night Visitor"
"Ascend Into Darkness"

Draconian is:

Anders Jacobsson - vocals
Heike Langhans - vocals
Johan Ericsson - guitar
Daniel Arvidsson - guitar
Jerry Torstensson - drums

ORDEN OGAN - New Album, Final Days, Enters German Album Chart At #3

Despite tough competition (the entire top ten consists of new entries), power metal masters Orden Ogan prevailed and secured a sensational #3 in the official German album chart. Needless to say, this is the best result the band ever had.

Final Days was preceded by the four singles: "Let The Fire Rain", "In The Dawn Of The AI", "Heart Of The Android" and "Inferno". It also features guest appearances by Brothers Of Metal vocalist Ylva Eriksson (on the song "Alone In The Dark") and Firewind guitarist Gus G. (who contributed a solo for the track "Interstellar").

JET JAGUAR Stream New Video - "No Surrender"

JET JAGUAR Stream New Video - "No Surrender"

After much success from their debut album Endless Nights, Mayan power metal band Jet Jaguar planned to release a video for their larger than life track - "No Surrender". But like everything else in this world, things became complicated due to COVID–19. Filming became impossible and production ground to a halt. After some time, opportunity presented itself again and Jet Jaguar pounced. Behold "No Surrender" by Jet Jaguar:

Jet Jaguar was formed in 2014 and hails from Cancún, a city located in the Mayan region of Mexico. The band’s name was partially inspired by the jaguar, a sacred animal for the Mayan civilization and for the areas where the Mayans used to inhabit.

In 2017, Jet Jaguar received worldwide recognition by being the first Hispanic-American band to ever win the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany.

In 2018, Jet Jaguar performed in Mexico City at the biggest metal festival in Latin America: Corona Hell & Heaven (alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Megadeth, and others).

Jet Jaguar kicked off 2019 by performing at the biggest festival in Costa Rica: Grito Latino. The band dedicated the rest of the year to the production of their debut album, Endless Nights. The album was mixed and mastered by Swedish producer Henrikk Udd (Powerwolf, At The Gates, Hammerfall).

Endless Nights was finally released in July 2020, under German label Pride & Joy Music. In late 2020, the band signed with European booking agency Nick Grima MGT. Future plans for Jet Jaguar include touring throughout Europe and Mexico in support of Endless Nights.

DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL Release New Loss Album Trailer: Technicality vs. Musicality (Video)

DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL Release New Loss Album Trailer: Technicality vs. Musicality (Video)

Devil Sold His Soul will release their new album, Loss, on April 9, their first release under the wings of Nuclear Blast Records. Watch a new album trailer below:

Singer Paul Green on the new album: "We're incredibly excited to announce the release of our 4th album, Loss, through Nuclear Blast Records. Loss comes from a dark place for us, life was cruel in the years before and during we wrote this record, this was our fuel for the songs. Loss is an honest snapshot of that time in our lives, and it is our way of paying respect to those we loved and who are no longer with us. We couldn't be more proud of these 10 songs and where they have pushed our songwriting, and we hope they truly connect with the listener. I don't think any of us imagined when we were writing this album, that we would end up signing to the biggest metal label in the world. It's given us that added validation that we've created something special, and we now have the platform to push it to where it needs to be.The belief that the team at Nuclear Blast has shown in the record is truly humbling, we're extremely proud to be a part of this great label, and to be on a roster alongside so many bands we love and respect."

The album will be available in various formats. Pre-order here.

Tracklisting:

"Ardour"
"Witness Marks"
"Burdened"
"Tateishi"
"The Narcissist"
"Beyond Reach"
"Signal Fire"

Devil Sold His Soul begin a new chapter in their highly-acclaimed career, signing to metal heavyweights Nuclear Blast Records. 2021 will see the band release their fourth studio album Loss, their first with the dual vocal attack of Ed Gibbs and Paul Green.

Devil Sold His Soul burst onto the UK underground metal and hardcore scene in 2004 growing a cult following from their first record, Darkness Prevails EP released through Visible Noise in 2005. Their debut album, A Fragile Hope, saw the band take their position as one of the most respected underground bands in the UK with their visceral and captivating live shows. Devil Sold His Soul’s sophomore album, Blessed And Cursed, elevated their sound and audience to new heights.

With Ed Gibbs departing the band early in the year, 2013 saw the first new material featuring singer Paul Green with single "Time", followed by 2014’s Belong Betray EP and 2016’s The Reckoning. After welcoming Gibbs back to sing on the 2017 A Fragile Hope anniversary tour, the band asked Gibbs to continue the dual vocals with Green for the remaining festivals and tours that year, with the lineup then becoming a permanent fixture.

2018 saw the band travel beyond Europe with their first touring in Asia, they also began to put the foundations down on what would become their new record Loss. Written about the struggles faced in recent years, Loss’treads familiar ground and explores exciting new territories for Devil Sold His Soul, including for the first time the dual vocals of Gibbs and Green on record. Recorded, engineered and mixed by guitarist Jonny Renshaw at his UK based Bandit Studios, Devil Sold His Soul have poured heart and sincerity into every atom of this their fourth album, with song writing elevated to new levels.

Devil Sold His Soul is:

Rick Chapple – Guitar, Piano
Jonny Renshaw - Guitar
Alex Wood - Drums
Jozef Norocky - Bass
Paul Green – Vocals
Ed Gibbs - Vocals

MANDOKI SOULMATES Sign To InsideOutMusic, Announce Global Streaming Concert Event With Special Guests Including JETHRO TULL Legend IAN ANDERSON

MANDOKI SOULMATES Sign To InsideOutMusic, Announce Global Streaming Concert Event With Special Guests Including JETHRO TULL Legend IAN ANDERSON

InsideOutMusic announces the signing of Mandoki Soulmates, featuring renowned musician, songwriter and producer Leslie Mándoki. InsideOut will release the band’s latest album Hungarian Pictures later this year as a brand new visual album edition that includes a blu-ray with the Visual Album and additional material, as well as additional music, remixed and remastered.

In addition to this, Mandoki Soulmates have put together a global online concert performance of this prog-rock suite, featuring an illustrious line-up of musicians that includes Leslie Mandoki alongside Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Nick van Eede (Cutting Crew), Till Brönner, Szakcsi, Jane Xie, John Helliwell (Supertramp), Steve Bailey, Al Di Meola, Peter Maffay, Jesse Siebenberg (Supertramp), Cory Henry, Deobrat Mishra, Mike Stern, Margarita, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Sirreal, Richard Bona, Moto Fukushima, Tony Carey and Julia Mandoki.

The performance will debut on Friday 26th March at 7pm CET. Watch a trailer for this special performance below.

As Leslie explains: “The pandemic has made concerts as we know and love them impossible for the time being. Nevertheless, we cannot rest—we must be louder than ever before! The global challenges that humanity is facing—pandemics, financial and economic crises, migration and integration, climate change—will only be met if we overcome divisions across all borders.

That is why the Mandoki Soulmates, together with musicians from all parts of the world, are raising their voices for unity and against division across all borders: physical, cultural, and intellectual with this online concert.

From our studio at Lake Starnberg, near Munich, we play with Tony Carey and the rest of the Soulmates band who are local. Our Soulmates in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Miami, Nashville, London, Berlin, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Delhi, and Moscow are con-nected to our digital stage. We all play live, whether it is in a living room on 52nd Street in New York, on the beach in South Carolina, or in a private basement studio of a castle in Northern England. Talk about unification!—this is the technology enabling the spiritual, to bridge the gap around the world.”

Background on Hungarian Pictures:

Hungarian Pictures is constructed as a suite, based on compositions and themes by Bartók, supplemented with the bands original songs. Together with Greg Lake of Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Jon Lord of Deep Purple, Leslie had worked on the seed of this idea years ago.

Leslie explains: “For Bartók, diversity in culture creates enrichment. He believed that it is precisely from these differences that art draws the strength that enables further development. He mixed sounds and traditional melodies from different regions of the Carpathian Plain in order to set an example against the burgeoning threat of National Socialism (Nazism) through the unifying aspects of music. That unifying impulse inspired Jon Lord, Greg Lake, and me.

After completing our Mandoki Soulmates “Wings Of Freedom” tour through Europe, we received an invitation from the Grammy Organization to give a concert in New York's Beacon Theater (where Martin Scorsese shot the Rolling Stones concert film Shine a Light). The Soulmates show was a great success with an enthusiastic New York audi-ence, standing ovations, and positive press reviews.

For me, a former asylum seeker who over four decades ago fled from a communist dictatorship to freedom, this success in the “Land of the Free” is a very special moment.

After the concert, I spent a few days with my children in Van Morrison's former house in Topanga Canyon, one of the old “hippie” neighborhoods of Los Angeles. I used this free time to reflect on social developments over the past few years. It became clear to me that we as artists are being challenged to become louder, to be a thorn in the side of so-ciety, and to bring progressive jazz rock back to real socio-political relevance. This is how the first ideas for a new album came about. It is the most ambitious and best project we ever worked on.

I am very grateful to our audience for the extraordinary chart success of our double al-bum Living In The Gap + Hungarian Pictures and the enthusiasm resulting in sold-out concerts. A supporting concert series for 2020 was signed, sealed, and all but delivered when the pandemic arrived. This quarantine of musical expression has been a true test of character, but artistic souls cannot be locked in forever: the urge for freedom, respon-sibility and creativity are too great."

Look out for more information on the release of the Hungarian Pictures visual album in the coming months.

“Collecting vinyl is an addiction. Nothing beats listening to vinyl and pouring over the cover art and inner sleeve. The first album that I ever bought was Led Zeppelin II when I was 13. I have at least 40 different versions of it now.” - Ross Halfin

Led Zeppelin released only eight studio albums and no singles over the course of their 12-year career, but to date there are more than 1,000 singles and 2,000 LPs in the market.

SKINDRED Share Lyric Video For Previously Unreleased Track "Struggle"

SKINDRED Share Lyric Video For Previously Unreleased Track "Struggle"

Skindred have revealed a new lyric video for the track "Struggle", which is previously unreleased and is featured on the upcoming re-release of Roots Rock Riot, which will be out on April 23.

The very timely and poignant new song "Struggle" is an acoustic track, and although not the typical Skindred sound, showcases the band’s prowess as powerful songwriters.

Drummer Arya Goggin comments, “The song ‘Struggle’, to me at least conveys a message of hope when your in the battle for love. We have all been there and sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. ‘Struggle’ is about keeping on with the fight as it will be worth it in the end. Life is sometimes a struggle and this year it has really highlighted that. To me it’s as important today as it was when we wrote it over 15 years ago. I’m so pleased it’s getting the chance to be heard and hopefully people will draw a positive message from it.”

It follows the release of "It’s A Crime", which is a rare cut and only previously released on the Japanese version of Roots Rock Riot.

Crafted in a boxing club, recorded in America and laying the groundwork for everything that followed it, Roots Rock Riot is an important piece of Skindred’s history – a piece that this re-release celebrates.

The first record of their discography to feature what would become the permanent line-up of Benji, Arya, bassist Daniel Pugsley and guitarist Mikey Demus, it started its life as that difficult second album. What it became completely transcends that, bookending a difficult period of the band’s existence and boldly kicking down the door to the future of their illustrious career.

Benji remembers delivering the vocals with the same passion he employs in front of a festival crowd, and recalls, “I’m not one of those people who cheers when they’ve finished a record. But I’m always thankful to get to make my art, blending contemporary British music and Jamaican music, with my friends. On Roots Rock Riot I think we did that excellently.”

Mikey meanwhile sees this re-release as an opportunity to examine how he and his band have come on in the years since. “I’m really proud of the record,” the guitarist enthuses. “I had a hell of a lot of fun making it and it features some really important Skindred tracks.”

Producer Matt Squire (Panic At The Disco / Neck Deep) brought the whole album to life and realizes its importance in cementing Skindred as one of the most important bands in the British heavy rock scene. “Longevity is all about being real,” he states. “Times were changing when the album was made, and if the band hadn’t been real in what they did they might have been passed off as a metal band with an innovative singer. Roots Rock Riot presented Skindred as a band with amazing songs. Those songs are made up of a crazy amalgamation of sounds, while remaining absolutely undeniable.”

Available on vinyl for the first time as well as CD, the re-release of Roots Rock Riot features rare cuts and previously unheard music. As well as the complete tracklist of the original, the vinyl version of the record comes with an additional 7” containing two exclusive tracks: the aforementioned "It’s A Crime" and "Struggle", which was never released. The CD release also contains both those tracks and an acoustic version of "Destroy The Dance Floor".

If that’s not enough, the re-release is also accompanied by some exclusive merchandise pre-order bundles. Available in the bundles are three 12” vinyl colour variants (Transparent Orange, Transparent Green and a special 3-colour Red, Yellow & Green), a t-shirt and a turntable slipmat, both of which feature a classic design from the original Roots Rock Riot release.

You can be pre-order the album here.

RIOT V Singer TODD MICHAEL HALL To Release Debut Solo Album In May; Produced By And Featuring METAL CHURCH Guitarist KURDT VANDERHOOF

RIOT V Singer TODD MICHAEL HALL To Release Debut Solo Album In May; Produced By And Featuring METAL CHURCH Guitarist KURDT VANDERHOOF

Current Riot V vocalist, Todd Michael Hall, is gearing up to release his first-ever solo album.

Todd received national attention when he appeared on the 18th season of NBC’s hit television show The Voice. After being selected by judge Blake Shelton for his version of Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero”, the success from the show would drive him to explore the idea of a solo album.

Written as the world shut down during the recent pandemic, Todd connected with Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof to write the tracks that would become Sonic Healing. The results of those sessions are the foundation for the album that will be released on May 7 via Rat Pak Records.

Vanderhoof also produced the album that is now available for pre-order here.

“Music has a healing effect to get you up and running,” he explains. “People use it to console themselves on a daily basis. It’s such a weird time right now. So, Sonic Healing is meant to be good positive rock. We definitely paid homage to our favorite bands, but we added a new twist. There’s a hunger for this music, and there aren’t many artists trying to scratch the itch. We’re here to scratch the itch and bring the energy.”

From the infectious guitar riffs of the opening track “Overdrive”, to the anthemic album finale of ”Long Lost Rock & Rollers,” Todd showcases his vocal range and passion for rock music. Songs like “Let Loose Tonight,” “Running After You” and “Like No Other” are testaments to the magic that was created when Todd and Kurdt began to focus on their deep love of classic rock icons like Boston, Rush, Styx, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. Todd’s multi-octave voice and Kurdt’s riff writing capabilities create memorable songs that are reminiscent of the artists that inspired them to pursue a career in music. With thought provoking lyrics and rock solid guitar riffs, Sonic Healing delivers all the power and punch that one would expect from these high-level players.

An EPK showing Todd and Kurdt discussing their approach to Sonic Healing can be seen below.

Sonic Healing tracklisting:

"Overdrive"
"Let Loose Tonight"
"All On The Line"
"Running After You"
"Love Rain Down"
"Sonic Healing"
"Like No Other"
"Somebody’s Fool"
"To The Bone"
"Long Lost Rock & Rollers"

EPK:

Of all the antidotes, therapies, and remedies, nothing cures quite like rock ‘n’ roll does. Todd Michael Hall projects this restorative power in his music. Whether fronting Riot V, appearing in front of millions on NBC’s The Voice, or recording as a solo artist, the Michigan-born singer and songwriter uplifts audiences with towering range and knockout delivery. He exudes this energy on his 2021 full-length debut for Rat Pak Records - the aptly titled Sonic Healing.

THE LIMIT Feat. PENTAGRAM, TESTORS, THE STOOGES Members Release "Death Of My Soul" Music Video

THE LIMIT Feat. PENTAGRAM, TESTORS, THE STOOGES Members Release "Death Of My Soul" Music Video

The Limit have released a video for the song "Death Of My Soul, from their forthcoming new album, Caveman Logic, out on April 9 via Svart Records. Find the clip below.

On new single “Death Of My Soul”, Sonny Vincent from The Limit says: "This song and video is not something warm and fuzzy you can wrap your arms around and feel good about. It represents a deep feeling of alienation, loneliness, a sense of an unchangeable and Doomed timeline of life and world events. If you are looking for a song and video to cheer you up, this is not the one. It represents a deep aspect of desperation and resignation that we all often have deep inside."

"Death Of My Soul" video:

Consisting of members of legendary punk instigators The Stooges, the founders of doom rock Pentagram, legendary NYC punk originators Testors and infamous Portugese metal band Dawnrider, The Limit goes over the edge, to deliver real-deal, soulful rock and roll.

On their new album, Caveman Logic, Bobby Liebling, singer and main-man of Pentagram, one of the originators of early doom rock and an inspiration for generations of heavy rock fans, on vocals, gives the performance of his career, singing like his life depended on it. Sonny Vincent, enigmatic legend of the early NYC punk scene with his band Testors, having been on the road with members of The Velvet Underground, lays down the guitar driven songs, his writing bearing all the hallmarks of ground-breaking rock history in it’s filthy DNA. Phenomenal bass playing from Jimmy Recca, ex-The Stooges, and Ron Asheton’s New Order, gives The Limit the intense and world-class, speaker-destroying bottom end. Joined by Hugo Conim on guitar and Joao Pedro on drums from Portugese band Dawnrider, The Limit fuses star-dust pedigree with an organic incendiary chemistry that’s instantly raw and real. A dream come true to those that know their doom/punk ABC, The Limit brings the past right up to date on Caveman Logic, with an essential, burning passion at the heart of their songs. Seldom has a collaboration of well known stars in music sounded so vigorous and frenzied as The Limit’s caveman-like roar.

The Limit is an astoundingly fresh and hot-blooded shot to the veins that heavy rock needs in this day and age. Conjured forth by stone-age pioneers, Caveman Logic goes to the heart of impassioned heavy rock and punk.

Pre-order Caveman Logic via Svart Records here.

ENDSEEKER Release "Count The Dead" Lyric Video

ENDSEEKER Release "Count The Dead" Lyric Video

On April 16, Endseeker will release their new album, Mount Carcass, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of the record, a lyric video for the new single, "Count The Dead", can be viewed below.

Endseeker comments: "With great concerns, we're noticing the growing civil unrests and social division on a global scale. We constantly get confronted with violence and injustice in the media, witnessing the increasing decline of conversation powerlessly. We are aware that stability is not a given condition while autocratic and anti-democratic tendencies are on the rise, also in our system. How much longer can we live in peace when the community and constitutional principles are getting pushed further back constantly? Countless leaders and despots undermining democratic values have contributed to the negative global changes over the years. Hate spreads further and further, like a cancer, as we speak. Nip things in the bud and leave no inch to fascist ideologies, warmongers and racketeers. Humanity has suffered a lot from misery coming from exclusion and hatred. We as a band stand up for democracy, participation, human rights, equality of opportunity, freedom of speech, social cohesion and global solidarity."

After unleashing Mount Carcass, Endseeker will host a record release livestream show on Sunday, April 18 at 10 AM, PST/1 PM, EST/ 7 PM, CET. Streamed live from Knust, Hamburg, reserve your ticket here.

* Tickets are available only as bundles with purchase of CD or vinyl (shirt optional) via Kings Road

Endseeker comments: "We took all the frustration and despair over the cancelled shows and the whole misery COVID has brought upon us all and forged it into a bunch of straight forward, powerful songs that accompanied us through 2020 and will now be shared with the rest of the world. Mount Carcass is definitely our most focused - in a way, even the angriest - record so far, and 'Unholy Rites', with its uplifting zombie-vibe, is the perfect opener for this new chapter in the history of Endseeker. We'd of course love to start this new chapter with YOU, our fans. Sadly, there won't be a sweaty sold-out release show like last time, however, we're back at the Knust in Hamburg on April 18th for a special livestream event (more details to be revealed soon). Come and celebrate with us online until we see each other in the pit again!"

Having become one of the premier German death metal bands - and rapidly rising the ranks of the genre as a whole - Endseeker storm back into the fray with Mount Carcass. Building on the groundwork laid down on 2017's Flesh Hammer Prophecy and having the difficult task of besting 2019's stunning The Harvest, they have returned with a streamlined, powerful collection that further raises the bar.

Like both of its predecessors, Mount Carcass was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Eike Freese at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, Germany. Going into the record, Endseeker knew they wanted something rawer and more organic than The Harvest, and while COVID was causing global havoc, the band embraced the time they would have otherwise spent touring, using it to rehearse and discuss what they wanted the record to be. From this process they knew they wanted the songs to be quite straightforward and even have something of a "punkish / crust feel, so to speak. The songs are pretty reduced to the core with all the ballast removed. Every part and every riff has a meaning and isn't just there for no other reason than extending the song. The album is also very melodic. There are a bunch of very strong guitar hooks and vocal compositions that really stick in your ears for days. It's way simpler and probably more easy to listen to compared to 'The Harvest' or 'Flesh Hammer Prophecy', but at the same time, it has a very spontaneous and lively attitude with a big chunk of personality."

To keep the genre sounding fresh in 2021, they focused on the production, having just a touch of the old school vibe to remain rooted, and they did not limit themselves too hard to the Swedish death metal style of songwriting they previously embraced, but also let other influences into their songs.

"You can hear all kinds of stuff that is inspired by bands like Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Slayer, Dissection, Gorefest, etc. We listen to so many different bands, and somehow, a bit from all of this keeps adding to our music."

WHITE WIZZARD Premier Music Video For “Viral Insanity” Single Feat. Singer MARK BOALS

WHITE WIZZARD Premier Music Video For “Viral Insanity” Single Feat. Singer MARK BOALS

US metal traditionalists, White Wizzard, have released their first new song in three years. The group’s new single, “Viral Insanity”, is now available for streaming through M-Theory Audio (and in Japan via Trooper Music), here.

The song - which sees band founder and bassist Jon Leon joined once again by guitarists James LaRue and Will Wallner - is also the first White Wizzard recording to feature new drummer Jonathan Brown, a longtime fan of the band. Vocal duties for this single, meanwhile, were handled by respected heavy metal veteran Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen, Dio Disciples, Royal Hunt, Ring of Fire). The music video for the song can also be viewed below.

“When the band approached me, I wasn’t familiar with them, but after listening, I was immediately hooked by the energy and vibe of the band’s music," explains Mark Boals. “It’s an old-school vibe with tons of energy and movement. A high-speed giant locomotive on steroids!”

“As a kid, Yngwie Malmsteen's Trilogy album was my favorite, and I always thought the vocals and songs on that album were some of the best ever in heavy metal," says Jon Leon. “I wrote a song called 'Viral Insanity' after COVID-19 hit, and one thing led to another and I was put in touch with Mark. I felt the song was perfect for his voice. We all tracked at home, and I sent him my demos and he nailed it. Will and James just kill the leads, and it was a fun quarantine collaboration for us to do with a musical icon and hero of ours. We hope you enjoy it! We have much more to come in 2021 and beyond. Rock on and stay safe.”

Since bursting onto the metal scene in 2007 with the infectious “High Speed GTO”, White Wizzard have consistently and proudly flown the flag high for traditional heavy metal, generating four full-length albums of melodic metal headbangers that are loaded with fast riffs and catchy choruses. The group's most recent full-length, 2018’s Infernal Overdrive, received positive reviews, with critics recognizing a band that was firing on all cylinders with inspiration from an expanded array of influences such as Rush, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica being seamlessly integrated into their existing blueprint.

The current lineup of White Wizzard was provided an extra injection of guitar greatness by the 2019 return of Wallner - who played on the group's 2013 record The Devil's Cut - to the fold, rejoining Leon and fellow guitarist LaRue. “Viral Insanity” also features a standout drumming effort from new member Brown and a vocal performance that reinforces why Boals has been a respected great in the genre for four decades.

More info on White Wizzard's plans for 2021 will be revealed in the weeks to come.

KATAKLYSM - The World Is In Chaos... Become "Defiant"; New Music Video Streaming

KATAKLYSM - The World Is In Chaos... Become "Defiant"; New Music Video Streaming

Canadian melodic death metal heavyweights, Kataklysm, unleashed their 14th full-length studio album, Unconquered, on September 25, 2020, via Nuclear Blast Records. Today marks the six month anniversary of the release which garnered the band a Juno nomination.

With the world still in a state of chaos six months later, the message they would like to convey to fans is to become "Defiant" via the music video directed by Scott Hansen / Digital Thunderdome.

Maurizio Iacono comments, “March 25th, marks six months since the release of what we call our quarantine album, Unconquered. There were many songs to pick from but after consulting with our label we both came to the conclusion and agreed that 'Defiant' was the song to pick for this video. The reason is that it's what we need to be at the moment as we face a chaotic and unstable world. It's an intense song that screams out strength in the face of the unknown. 'Defiant' was filmed by acclaimed director Scott Hansen in the Atlanta area and the storyline deals with a soldier dealing with PTSD after experiencing the horror of war. Unfortunately, due to Canada's strict COVID-19 travel rules, bassist Stephane Barbe couldn’t make it to the video shoot so we decided to still shoot some parts with myself and J-F so we could still have some sort of band presence in it. The song is dedicated to the ones who sacrificed everything in order for us to have the freedoms today that so many take for granted."

TORTUGA - Psychedelic Stoner / Doom Metal Upstarts Sign Worldwide Deal With Napalm Records

TORTUGA - Psychedelic Stoner / Doom Metal Upstarts Sign Worldwide Deal With Napalm Records

Napalm Records announces the signing of psychedelic stoner and doom metal outfit, Tortuga, from Poland.

After making a giant impact on the scene in 2017 with their self-titled EP, followed by their H.P. Lovecraft inspired album Deities (2020) that gathered hundreds of thousands of streams across all streaming platforms, Tortuga is ready to dive into the next chapter of their career.

Tortuga are currently working on new music, set for release via Napalm Records in 2022.

Says the band about signing to Napalm Records: “We weren’t very respectful towards the Lovecraftian Deities on our second LP, so they punished mankind with a pandemic and made it impossible for us to tour with our album. Gladly, they are merciful, and they gave us a second chance in the form of a pretty awesome collaboration with Napalm Records. We are already working on our third album and rest assured that this time we won't mock any deities. We learned our lesson.”

Listen to the band's Deities album below:

Tortuga are:

Marmur - Drums
Heszu - Bass
Pablo - Guitars, Vocals
Kłosu - Guitars, Synths, Vocals

LAMB OF GOD Drops Lyric Video For 'Hyperthermic/Accelerate' Bonus Track

LAMB OF GOD Drops Lyric Video For 'Hyperthermic/Accelerate' Bonus Track

LAMB OF GOD has released a lyric video for "Hyperthermic/Accelerate", which is part of the "Lamb Of God (Deluxe Version)", due today (Friday, March 26) via Epic Records.

The set features the critically acclaimed 2020 release with two bonus tracks and a live version of the album, along with a DVD featuring the first of LAMB OF GOD's two ultra-successful livestream events from the fall.

In addition to performing "Lamb Of God" in its entirety, the performance features an encore of four songs including "Ruin", "Contractor", "512" and the debut live performance of "The Death Of Us", a new song the band wrote and recorded in quarantine for the "Bill & Ted Face The Music" movie and soundtrack. The DVD also includes a new director's cut with bonus material. Digital copies will contain only Disc 1 and Disc 2. A separate vinyl edition of "Live From Richmond, VA" will also be available.

The first single from "Lamb Of God (Deluxe Version)", "Ghost Shaped People", has already received a response equal to the fervent reception the original release received last June, holding at No. 1 on the Metal Contraband metal radio chart for four weeks in a row.

"Lamb Of God", the quintet's first new album in five years, was met with universal acclaim upon release — not only among major rock journalists, but with all strata of metal fans around the world. But critics, media and the industry aside, perhaps the most telling statistic is the year-end U.S. Metal Radio chart, where the new album dominated at No. 1 by a massive margin (over 2,000 more spins than the album at No. 2). "Lamb Of God" spent nine weeks in the No. 1 spot and never left the top 10 since debuting on the chart in February. Metal Radio is the lifeblood of the U.S. metal world, largely staffed by college students and regional tastemakers, playing the music that they know their local metal fans want to hear.
