THE DOORS' JIM MORRISON Didn't Have An Autopsy. What Happened?Next week's episode of the acclaimed celebrity docuseries "Final 24" will focus on THE DOORS frontman Jim Morrison.
Whether you call him Jim Morrison or The Lizard King, you know him as a rock and roll icon. He was a poet that wrote some of the most incredible lyrics of all time and fronted THE DOORS.
In 1971, Jim Morrison and his longtime girlfriend fell asleep after taking drugs, but woke up because Morrison was having trouble breathing. Instead of seeking medical attention, Morrison decided to take a bath and his girlfriend went back to bed. She found him at 8:30 a.m. on July 3, 1971, dead in the bathtub making him a member of the notorious "27 Club." He was buried within three days in the Poet's Corner of Paris' Pere Lachaise cemetery. His girlfriend died three years later of a heroin overdose.
Morrison's rebellious attitude and scandalous antics made him an icon in the world of rock and roll and, unfortunately, may have led to his untimely death. As no autopsy was performed, the exact cause of Morrison's death remains a mystery to this day. AXS TV attempts to solve the mystery on "Final 24" on Wednesday, July 1 at 9/8c. Watch a preview clip below.
Morrison was the main songwriter of THE DOORS, although every member contributed.
Last month, AXS TV announced that the network had acquired both seasons of "Final 24". The company acquired all 14 episodes of the hour-long series from Cineflix Rights.
Using crafted dramatizations blended with archive footage, "Final 24" takes viewers through the last hours of some of entertainment and culture's most iconic — and infamous — figures while also celebrating their lives and esteemed accomplishments. Examining glossed-over details, flawed rationale, and surrounding events, the series seeks to shine a light on 14 deaths which shook the nation and left an indelible mark both on pop culture and history. From murder and suicide, to overdose and malfunction, "Final 24" provides unflinching details and in-depth analysis to help better understand the thoughts, feelings, and actions experienced by each of the docuseries' unique subjects.
The season opened with punk rock pioneer Sid Vicious on June 3, and also includes profiles of model Nicole Brown Simpson (June 10); rap legend Tupac Shakur (June 17); troubled bombshell Anna Nicole Smith (June 24); magazine magnate and political royalty John F. Kennedy Jr. (July 8); fashion mastermind Gianni Versace (July 15); soulful songstress Janis Joplin (July 22); the godfather of gonzo journalism Hunter S. Thompson (July 29); talented young actor River Phoenix (Aug. 5); beloved funnyman John Belushi (Aug. 12); R&B trailblazer Marvin Gaye (Aug. 19); Branch Davidian cult leader David Koresh (Aug. 26); and hard-partying percussionist Keith Moon (Sept. 7).
"Final 24" originally aired for two seasons in 2006 and 2007 on other networks. 1

ROBB FLYNN: 'The Politics Have Always Been A Big Part Of MACHINE HEAD'Robb Flynn has pushed back against people criticizing him for expressing his political opinions on social media and through his music.
The MACHINE HEAD frontman recently caught flak from some fans when he slammed President Donald Trump in a post on the band's web site, calling the billionaire real estate mogul "the embodiment of everything that I cannot stand in a human being" and "the epitome of New York City, elite, coastal, WHITE privilege."
Flynn defended his right to speak out on political issues during a new interview with U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine. He said: "I post on Instagram a lot. I've been very angry about the state of the world, posting pictures and videos of the protests of late. A lot of people support that. A lot of people shit all over it. There's always a very loud minority who're in the 'Shut up and sing!' category. But I don't know what they think I've been singing about for the last 27 years. What do they think 'A Thousand Lies' is about? 'Clenching The Fists Of Dissent'? 'Halo'? 'In The Presence Of My Enemies'? 'A Farewell To Arms'? Maybe it's just dawning on people, but I don't know what the hell they have been listening to. The politics have always been a big part of MACHINE HEAD."
Asked if he feels like the metal — and broader music — communities are doing enough, Flynn responded: "I'm not really a follower of the metal community at large, but I feel like the response has been a little bit quiet. Maybe I'm reading that wrong. I do know that there are a small group of people — younger bands — who are working hard to address it. FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY just had a 'We Can Do Better' campaign — two days of coverage and interviews and an auction to which we contributed, where they raised $60,000 for the ACLU — and it was awesome to see them using their platform like that. Honestly, though, the biggest thing I saw was Taylor Swift clapping back at Donald Trump on Twitter, telling him this is what happens when you stuff white supremacy down people's throats for three years. I was just, like, 'Wow! Good for you.'"
On June 17, MACHINE HEAD released "Civil Unrest", a two-song digital single featuring A-side "Stop The Bleeding" and B-side "Bulletproof". This pair of fierce protest anthems were both written days after the back-to-back murders of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. "Stop The Bleeding" features a guest appearance from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Jesse Leach, with Flynn and Leach trading lyrical lines that spit anger and frustration at current events.
MACHINE HEAD is donating a significant portion of the streaming proceeds from "Stop The Bleeding" to Grassroots Law Project, the organization representing George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery. 7

LAMB OF GOD's RANDY BLYTHE 'Would Love To Play In The Czech Republic Again', Seven Years After Being Acquitted Of Manslaughter/
LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe says that he "would love" to play in the Czech Republic again.
In 2012, Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic and charged with manslaughter for allegedly pushing a 19-year-old fan offstage at a show two year prior and causing injuries that led to the fan's death. Blythe spent 37 days in a Prague prison before ultimately being found not guilty in 2013.
Randy addressed the possibility of performing in the Czech Republic while answering fan questions earlier this week during a Reddit AMA.
He said: "I would love to play in the Czech Republic again — I have nothing against the Czech people, and I was not mistreated there. Eventually I think we might play there again, but it will 100 percent have to be with the cooperation of the family of the young man who died, and I would want to give the money from the show to a charity they choose. If we played there, it would be a huge news story, and I do not wish to cause the young man's family anymore pain — they did no wrong, and were not cruel to me at all; in fact they showed me great kindness. But they have suffered enough, so it is out of respect to them we have not returned. I hope the Czech fans understand."
Blythe's prison experience inspired two songs on LAMB OF GOD's 2015 album "VII: Sturm Und Drang": "512", one of his three prison cell numbers, and "Still Echoes", written while he was in Pankrac Prison, a dilapidated facility built in the 1880s that had been used for executions by the Nazis during World War II. It also led him to write the memoir "Dark Days", in which he shared his whole side of the story publicly for the first time.
"I think artistically, it was a very valid choice to use those two songs because they come from a very real, very dark place," Blythe told the New York Post back in 2015. "I write about things that are impactful for my life that stir up emotion in me, that affect me, that have some sort of impact within my life. Not that going to prison has no impact in my life, but I was out of prison and I felt it would be disingenuous to use it as a creative well to draw from."
Blythe is currently promoting LAMB OF GOD's self-titled album, which was released on June 19 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to 2015's "VII: Sturm Und Drang" marks the band's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined LOG last year as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.
"Lamb Of God" was recorded with longtime producer Josh Wilbur (KORN, MEGADETH, GOJIRA, TRIVIUM) and includes special guest appearances by Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT). 4

It's 'Official': BUTCHER BABIES' HEIDI SHEPHERD Has A Ghost In Her HouseBUTCHER BABIES frontwoman Heidi Shepherd believes that she has a "ghost" in her house. Earlier today, the singer took to Instagram to share a short video clip captured by her home security camera system, and she included the following message: "It's official; WE'VE GOT A GHOST! Every night for the past several nights, I've been getting 3 or 4 motion detection notifications in my living room. We're on vacation! This is what my cameras caught last night at 3:11am.. Something appears to get up off the ottoman and then jet past the camera. What do you think is going in here? Bug? Ghost? Particles?"
Shepherd reportedly shares a home in Los Angeles with her boyfriend and BUTCHER BABIES bandmate Henry Flury.
BUTCHER BABIES recently completed work on their fourth album, tentatively due in late 2020 or early 2021 via an as-yet-undetermined record label.
The band's latest LP, "Lilith", which was released in October 2017 via Century Media.
Shepherd told ELUVEITIE's "Corona Talk" that "it was a hard decision to part ways with Century Media. Here in the U.S., the label doesn't exactly exist much here anymore," she said. "And so it was a really difficult decision. We were with them for our entire career; we've been a band for 10 years. It just wasn't working here in the States. But we do love our Century Media family.
"Lilith" was produced by Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, SUICIDE SILENCE) and marked BUTCHER BABIES' recording debut with drummer Chase Brickenden, who replaced Chris Warner in 2016.
Last July, longtime BUTCHER BABIES bassist Jason Klein announced his departure from the band. He has since been replaced by Ricky Bonazza.

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT To Release First Album In Two Decades, 'The Symbol Remains', In OctoberBLUE ÖYSTER CULT will return with a mammoth new studio album, "The Symbol Remains", this October. Coming nearly two decades after the release of the band's last studio LP, "Curse Of The Hidden Mirror", the effort showcases a band which hasn't been slowed by the time passed but is simply unfazed by it. "The Symbol Remains" is said to be one of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's most spirited, diverse and inspired releases to date.
As the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait," and the 14 new songs on display here embody that. Fans will be delighted with an extremely inspired album which ultimately sounds like a band looking back at their storied catalog and giving the fans a bit of everything they've ever loved about BÖC, while simultaneously continuing to evolve.
For over four decades, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT has been thrilling fans of intelligent hard rock worldwide with powerful albums loaded with classic songs. Indeed, the Long Island, New York‐based band is revered within the hard rock and heavy metal scene for its pioneering work. BLUE ÖYSTER CULT occupies a unique place in rock history because it's one of very few hard rock/heavy metal bands to earn both genuine mainstream critical acclaim as well as commercial success. Now they have partnered up with Frontiers Music Srl to continue their amazing journey.
BÖC is often cited as a major influence by other acts such as METALLICA, and BÖC was listed in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.
Upon the release of BÖC's self-titled debut album in 1972, the band was praised for its catchy-yet-heavy music and lyrics that could be provocative, terrifying, funny or ambiguous, often all in the same song. BÖC's canon contains three stone‐cold classic songs that will waft through the cosmos long after the sun has burned out: the truly haunting "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from 1976's "Agents Of Fortune", the pummeling "Godzilla" from 1977's "Spectres" and the hypnotically melodic "Burnin' for You" from 1981's "Fire Of Unknown Origin". Other notable BÖC songs include "Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll", "Then Came The Last Days Of May", "I Love The Night", "In Thee", "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars", "Dominance And Submission", "Astronomy", "Black Blade" and "Shooting Shark".
The intense creative vision of BÖC's original core duo of vocalist/lead guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom are complemented by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, and the longtime rhythm section of bass guitarist Danny Miranda, and drummer Jules Radino.

Former OF MICE & MEN Vocalist AUSTIN CARLILE Responds To Sexual Assault AccusationsFormer OF MICE & MEN frontman Austin Carlile has denied multiple claims of sexual misconduct, which were posted by an alleged victim on social media. The 32-year-old singer has been accused of sexually assaulting several women.
The accuser took to her Facebook to detail the allegations and call out Alternative Press for not reporting over 15 different stories shared with the publication regarding Carlile's behavior. Her account was corroborated by her husband. The magazine responded by saying, "For legal purposes regarding the Austin Carlile accusations, the story couldn't run as it was told," and later posted a lengthier statement explaining its decision to bury the story.
Carlile's former bandmates issued a statement of their own in which they did not mention him by name but said that they "absolutely condemn sexual violence and harassment in any form."
Carlile — who became a born-again Christian in 2016 — released a statement on Wednesday (June 17) admitting that he "acted like a jerk" and did things that he is "not proud of," but insisted he "never violated anyone."
Carlile's full statement reads as follows:
"In my younger years, I absolutely was not the best person, but I have never physically abused, preyed upon, forced myself upon, or drugged any woman. These accusations are false and defamatory.
"I am not a perfect person: I smoked marijuana daily, drank often, got into fights and acted like a jerk more times than I can count. I did things and acted in ways that I am not proud of, but never have I violated anyone. These 'accusations' being thrown around on social media, in our current 'cancel culture' climate, are extremely heinous and completely without merit.
"My wife is a molestation and rape survivor, and I have personally seen the deep, long-standing pain that she battles with every day. I have spent years surrendering my flesh over to God, allowing Him to constantly improve who I am as a man, husband, and father. During this past week, I have even had the joy of seeing the heartbeat of my new child for the very first time. Today, I am focused on supporting my pregnant wife, our daughter, this new blessing in our lives, my health, my wife's health, and striving to be a better person every day.
"These accusations have been investigated by the appropriate authorities as well as independent journalists and were determined to be unfounded. I apologize to the Marfan Foundation, I Am Second, my former bandmates and any of our dedicated fans who have been unjustly brought into this controversy and wish them all nothing but the best.
"All women deserve to feel safe, supported, and heard, but these unjust attacks upon my family and accusations against me, are decades-old claims that are unfounded."
Carlile left OF MICE & MEN in 2016 due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that afflicts the connective tissue holding the body's cells, organs and tissue together.
Carlile originally exited OF MICE & MEN in 2010 after his doctor forbade him from touring to undergo heart surgery tied to complications with Marfan Syndrome. He returned in 2011, but his ailments didn't cease, forcing him to depart the band for the second, and presumably final, time nearly four years ago.

METALLICA's KIRK HAMMETT Featured In Trailer For 'Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine' DocumentaryMETALLICA's Kirk Hammett, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Suzi Quatro and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' Chad Smith are among the musicians who appear in the newly released trailer for a documentary film titled "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine", which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival last year. The trailer features vintage videos and various Creem covers throughout the seventies and eighties.
"I lived by what was printed in Creem magazine," Hammett says in the video, which can be seen below.
Capturing the messy upheaval of the 1970s just as rock was re-inventing itself, the documentary film explores Creem magazine's humble beginnings in post-riot Detroit, follows its upward trajectory from underground paper to national powerhouse, then bears witness to its imminent demise following the tragic and untimely deaths of its visionary publisher, Barry Kramer, and its most famous alum and genius clown prince, Lester Bangs, a year later. Fifty years after publishing its first issue, "America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine" remains a seditious spirit in music and culture.
The documentary "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine", formerly known as "Boy Howdy: The Story Of Creem Magazine", is directed by American filmmaker Scott Crawford, his second film after making the doc "Salad Days" previously. The film features additional interviews with Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, Paul Stanley (KISS), Gene Simmons (KISS), and more. It was produced by Barry Kramer's son, JJ Kramer, and Creem alum Jaan Uhelszki, and features music by MC5's Wayne Kramer (who is also interviewed for the film).
Greenwich Entertainment will release "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine" in select theaters starting in August.

FILTER Releases Official Lyric Video For 'Thoughts And Prayers'The official lyric video for a new FILTER song called "Thoughts And Prayers" can be seen below. The track was written as a collaboration between FILTER mainman Richard Patrick and fellow FILTER founding member Brian Liesegang, who reconnected for several months in 2018 and 2019 before scrapping their planned reunion album.
"Thoughts And Prayers" will appear on FILTER's forthcoming album, "Murica", tentatively due before the end of the year.
Patrick stated about "Thoughts And Prayers": "America is spinning out of control. It's never been more sick, unemployed and especially divided. I love my country so much that I'm willing to part with some fans that might not like my message to her.
"'Thoughts And Prayers' has become a meaningless catchphrase that gets thrown out every time something bad happens. Usually a mass murder etc. It's an empty gesture. It's time for more than thoughts and prayers. It's time to wake the fuck up and start listening to each other."
A few days ago, Patrick said the "Thoughts And Prayers" video is "controversial" because "it's extremely blunt. I had to take some of the footage out," he said. "I directed it, and I'm really stoked."
Richard has successfully led and spearheaded FILTER for the last 20 years, releasing many platinum records, including "Title of Record" and "The Almagamut".
The reunion of Patrick and Liesegang reportedly happened after they were challenged from the stage in mid-performance by their mutual friend Louise Post of VERUCA SALT, who stopped her concert to admonish them "to bury any bullshit, forget the crap, and get their shit together." The two had an interesting conversation on the drive home. After initially treating their renewed collaboration as an experiment to see what "might happen," they rediscovered not only their friendship, but also their unique "yin and yang" working style.
FILTER's most recent LP, "Crazy Eyes", came out in April 2016 via Wind-Up Records.

Watch Former GREAT WHITE Singers JACK RUSSELL And TERRY ILOUS Team Up For Livestreamed Acoustic ConcertEx-GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell teamed up with his successor, Terry Ilous, along with guitarists Robby Lochner and Phil Woodward, for a special acoustic concert on Friday, June 26 on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise Facebook page.
Video footage of the set, which included acoustic renditions of songs from GREAT WHITE, XYZ and LED ZEPPELIN, can be seen below.
Back in July 2018, Russell slammed his former bandmates in GREAT WHITE for the "deceitful" way Ilous was kicked out of the group.
Ilous, formerly of '80s L.A. hard rockers XYZ, joined GREAT WHITE in 2010 after replacing touring vocalist Jani Lane (WARRANT).
The Ilous-led GREAT WHITE released two albums, 2012's "Elation" and 2017's "Full Circle", before Terry was shown the door and replaced with Mitch Malloy.
Ilous later released a statement in which he claimed he was blindsided by his dismissal from GREAT WHITE, saying that he "proudly invested" all of his energy and focus "into the GREAT WHITE brand."
Russell, who was himself fired from GREAT WHITE in December 2011 (after being on hiatus from the group since 2009), took to his Facebook page to offer his thoughts on Terry's departure from the band, writing: "I just wanted to express my condolences to Terry Ilous for the deceitful way my X band members dealt with the situation of his termination kind of reminds me of something else. Huh? In the last few months Terry and I have gotten to know each other through Linkedin have become what I would say friends. As far as I'm concerned, he's a great guy and he had an opportunity and he took it. The fact is it was my fault that it all happened to begin with. I was unreliable, unhealthy and my addiction ruled my world. I wouldn't have wanted to play with me either if I were them. The only thing I was very upset about was the way they went about it. But at least Terry got an e-mail where I received nothing not even a phone call or a return message. But this is not about me this is about Terry. I'm sure he will find his way to a better place as he is a great singer and has a lot of talent and I have a lot of respect for him. I wish him well and I hope you will all support him in his future efforts."
Russell sued his onetime bandmates in 2012 over their continued use of the GREAT WHITE name after the singer had taken a leave of absence from the band for medical reasons. A short time later, Russell was countersued by guitarist Mark Kendall, keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie and drummer Audie Desbrow, claiming the vocalist's self-destructive behavior was damaging the GREAT WHITE name (they also alleged he was charging promoters less for his own touring version of GREAT WHITE). The parties settled in July 2013 without going to trial, with Russell now performing with a new lineup as JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE while the others are continuing as GREAT WHITE.
SHARK TANK - Jack & Terry LIVE @ Third Encore
Great way to kick off the weekend. Classic tunes from Great White, XYZ, and Led Zeppelin! Tune in and get the LED out!

TAYLOR MOMSEN Says Covering QUEEN With MARIA BRINK And LZZY HALE 'Felt Like A Very Natural Collaboration'IN THIS MOMENT's latest album, "Mother", includes a cover version of the QUEEN classic "We Will Rock You" that sees vocalist Maria Brink teaming up with HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale and THE PRETTY RECKLESS singer Taylor Momsen. Asked by the 89X radio station how she came to be involved with the track, Momsen said (see video below): "Maria called up and said, 'Hey, I have this idea. Lzzy is on board. Is this something you'd be interested in?' Obviously, 'We Will Rock You' by QUEEN is a fantastic song; I'm a huge fan. And Maria and Lzzy are dear friends, so it just kind of felt like a very natural collaboration. So I said yes and sang my part, and now it is what you guys can all hear."
"Mother" was released on March 27. The disc was once again recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko. The LP contains two additional covers, STEVE MILLER BAND's "Fly Like An Eagle" and MAZZY STAR's "Into Dust".
"Death By Rock And Roll", the fourth studio album from THE PRETTY RECKLESS, will arrive in late 2020 or early 2021. The LP will be released via Fearless Records in the U.S. and Century Media Records in the rest of the world.
Momsen recently confirmed in an interview that RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello guests on "Death By Rock And Roll". Morello appears on a track called "And So It Went".
Morello joins previously announced guests Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron from SOUNDGARDEN. The song with Cameron and Thayil, called "Only Love Can Save Me Now", was recorded at Seattle's legendary London Bridge Studios, where seminal LPs like PEARL JAM's "Ten" and SOUNDGARDEN's "Louder Than Love" were laid down.

BUCKCHERRY Is Using Coronavirus Downtime To Work On New MusicBUCKCHERRY frontman Josh Todd has told Robert Cavuoto of Myglobalmind that the band has been using its coronavirus downtime to work on new music. "Right now, we are writing new songs for a BUCKCHERRY record because of the whole COVID thing," he said. "It shifted us into a completely different gear. We had a lot of different plans for this year, and it certainly wasn't this. [Laughs] So now we are in songwriting mode and super fired up. We have a lot of great songs coming down the pipeline, so it should be out the spring of next year."
Asked if there are any plans for BUCKCHERRY to make a lockdown/Zoom-type video for any of its recently released acoustic songs, Josh said: "I see those, and it bums me out. It's just not for me. If that is where it's going, it's very sad. We've toured so much we can just wait on the sidelines until things get going. We have a show on July 4th in Iowa at the Freedom Rally, which is an outdoor biker event, and tickets are selling well. We have all these rescheduled dates starting in August, and they are all on, from what I understand, but that can change."
Todd went on to say that he has no problems with bands selling tickets to virtual shows amid the coronavirus pandemic. "This is our livelihood, and it has been stripped out from underneath us," he explained. "Any way bands can generate revenue from performing online, I'm all for it, provided people want to see it and pay for it. More power to them, and I think it's great. We have to figure out ways to provide for our families."
Earlier this month, BUCKCHERRY released Volume 2 of the "Acoustic Sessions" series, featuring acoustic versions of two songs from the band's debut album: "For The Movies" and "Check Your Head". The LP, released in 1999 on DreamWorks Records, introduced the world to BUCKCHERRY, and began what is now a 21-year career.
"Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1" featured two songs from BUCKCHERRY's platinum album "15" — "Sorry" and "Carousel". The songs are available on all streaming and digital services and can be purchased individually or as a two-song EP.
In January, BUCKCHERRY teamed up with American rapper and songwriter Isaiah Rivera, better known by his stage name Wifisfuneral, for a remix of the band's smash hit "Crazy Bitch". The original version of "Crazy Bitch" appeared on BUCKCHERRY's multi-platinum third album, 2005's "15".
BUCKCHERRY has been touring in support of its latest album, "Warpaint", which was released in March 2019 via Century Media/RED Music. The 12-song record was produced by Mike Plotnikoff, whose previous collaboration with the band was the aforementioned "15".

NONPOINT Releases 'Remember Me (A Frontlines Tribute)' Video In Support Of Essential WorkersNONPOINT has released an impassioned music video for the new version of its song "Frontlines", re-titled "Remember Me (A Frontlines Tribute)".
The band stated about the track: "This frontlines tribute aptly named 'Remember Me', edited by artist and creator Francesca Ludikar, is 233 essential workers made up of nurses, doctors, EMTs, first responders, local and federal law enforcement, firefighters, military, postal, shipping, grocery, essential store workers, fans and their children who took part in what will go down in NONPOINT history as our biggest thank you for the sometimes thankless sacrifice you all make for us. This is our sincerest appreciation for everyone in the fight with us against the pandemic. We couldn't do this without you. We will always remember you."
"Frontlines" was the second single from NONPOINT's sixth studio album, 2010's "Miracle". At the time of the track's release, lead singer Elias Soriano said: "'Frontlines' is for our country's armed forces. They risk their lives every day to protect the rights, liberties and lives of people whose names they don't even know."
NONPOINT is currently in the studio and will release new music this fall.
Although NONPOINT has never made a big commercial breakthrough, the band had a pair of Top 25 mainstream rock hits, including "The Truth" and "Bullet With A Name".
NONPOINT spent most of 2019 touring in support of its tenth album, "X", which was released in August 2018. The follow-up to 2016's "The Poison Red" was produced by Fred Archambault, who has previously worked with ATREYU and AVENGED SEVENFOLD, among others.
Last year, NONPOINT announced the addition of guitarist Jason Zeilstra to the group's ranks. He replaced BC Kochmit, who left NONPOINT in order to focus on his family life.

Rasheed Thomas (guitar, backing vocals)
Adam Woloszyn (bass)
Jason Zeilstra (lead guitar)

BLACK VEIL BRIDES Unveil 'Re-Stitch These Wounds' Details, Announce Album-Release ShowBLACK VEIL BRIDES will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut, "We Stitch These Wounds", with a brand new, reimagined, re-recorded 2020 edition of the album titled "Re-Stitch These Wounds", released on July 31 via Sumerian Records. Pre-orders are available from ReStitchTheseWounds.com. Fans can check out the first of the reimagined tracks from the album, "Sweet Blasphemy", below.
Speaking on "Re-Stitch These Wounds" and his band's 10th year milestone, frontman, vocalist Andy Biersack says: "We are so excited to have the opportunity to revisit and reimagine our debut album for its 10-year anniversary.
"A decade ago, I was just a teenager trying to find my way and meet like-minded musicians. I was fortunate enough to meet Jake and Jinxx and we clicked instantly. I can remember writing so many of these songs in the tiny Hollywood apartment Jake and I shared and tracking our own demos, so to have the opportunity to take a look at these songs again and update them for the modern era of the band with Jake at the helm producing and mixing is a full circle moment for us.
"We have never been happier as a band then in the current lineup and it's amazing to get the chance to start over and do with this record what we always wished we could have done the first time around.
"This isn't meant to be a replacement for the original album but rather a companion piece that we hope fans can enjoy and see the musical evolution of the band in a unique way."
BLACK VEIL BRIDES will take part in a very special album-release streaming event on Saturday, August 1 when they perform the "Re-Stitch These Wounds" in full for the first time ever, to be broadcast live from the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California. The event will begin at 2 p.m. PST / 5 p.m. EST. Fans can purchase tickets to the album release show from BlackVeilBrides.Live
Speaking on the 10th anniversary of BLACK VEIL BRIDES and his history with the band from the early days of their career, Sumerian Records founder/CEO Ash Avildsen says: "It’s been one hell of a journey working with BVB as their booking agent from when this record first came out until now being their label partner.
"Having their debut album re-recorded with modern production under the Sumerian banner is a true milestone for us that I am very proud of after working with Andy and the BVB family for all these years.
"Almost everyone told me I was crazy back then to sign up for the ride and that it wouldn't work. Well? Now here we are with the band being one of the biggest break-out hard rock acts of the past decade and the best is still yet to come."
Since the release of "We Stitch These Wounds" in 2010, BLACK VEIL BRIDES have grown to be one of the most successful and revered bands in modern rock. The album sold 11,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 36 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 Independent Releases, a phenomenal feat for a band on their debut with no major label support, just an insanely fanatical following. Each of their subsequent four studio albums debuted in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200, with two albums — "Wretched And Divine" and "Black Veil Brides" — debuting in the Top 10. They have also released a chart-topping live DVD, "Alive And Burning". The band has over 1.1 million monthly Spotify listeners, has clocked up 400 million total Spotify streams, 500 million YouTube views and has a combined social media reach of over 11 million fans.
BLACK VEIL BRIDES' strident opposition to conformity, false authority, and obstacles (from both within and without) strikes a chord with every outcast who ever felt drawn to the allure of the dark. It's evident in the 150 million views accumulated by "Knives And Pens", the first video released from "We Stitch These Wounds". The RIAA-certified gold single "In The End", which itself boasts 125 million YouTube views, is proof that the group whose merchandise dominated Hot Topic stores before they'd dropped their debut album was no passing fad or ill-fated "scene." This was built to last.

THE DOORS' ROBBY KRIEGER Releases 'The Hitch' VideoThe legendary guitarist and songwriter of THE DOORS and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Robby Krieger will release his first solo album in 10 years on August 14. "The Ritual Begins At Sundown" will be made available via his new home at The Players Club, a division of the Mascot Label Group.
The music video for "The Hitch" can be seen below.
THE DOORS weren't just one of the most iconic bands of their generation, but one of the most influential bands in rock history and Robby Krieger was responsible for writing some of their biggest hits in "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Touch Me" and "Love Her Madly".
Krieger returns for his ninth solo album and his first since 2010's Grammy-nominated "Singularity", and once again with his longtime writing partner and co-producer Arthur Barrow. Barrow worked with Frank Zappa through the 1970s and 1980s as well as with Giorgio Moroder, Joe Cocker, Diana Ross and Janet Jackson and worked on soundtracks for "Top Gun" and "Scarface". The album also features other Zappa alumnus Jock Ellis (trombone), Sal Marquez (trumpet) and Tommy Mars (keys) as well as AeB Bryne (flute), Vince Denim (sax), Chuck Manning (sax), Joel Wackerman (drums) and Joel Taylor (drums).
"I was hanging out with my buddy Arthur Barrow and we had some songs we had been fooling around with then we got some other friends involved," Krieger explains when talking about how the album came together.
The legacy of THE DOORS is enormous and a testament to this is the number of awards and accolades that have come their way; Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Library Of Congress selected their debut for inclusion in the National Recording Registry based on its cultural, artistic and historical significance. As of 2017, Los Angeles city council has given them their own day, "The Day Of The Doors", every year. There was even a Hollywood biopic, directed by Oliver Stone on them.
Not many musicians can claim to have performed beside a huge variety of other artists from a visibly excited Lady Gaga like Krieger did in December last year, he was joined by Miley Cyrus live this February, had Marilyn Manson who is a huge fan join him on stage, as well as being asked to guest with everyone from THE RAMONES to John Mayer, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS to CREED and ALICE IN CHAINS to Alice Cooper. Elsewhere other acts to be influenced by THE DOORS includes JOY DIVISION, Iggy Pop, THE STROKES, Mazzy Star and not to mention ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, who did an iconic version of "People Are Strange" for the "Lost Boys" (1987) movie.
So ingrained into popular culture is his music that it has also been sampled from everyone from Jay-Z to Chase and Status, Snoop Dogg to Orbital and Fatboy Slim, he even collaborated with Skrillex. Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp invited Krieger in to work on their debut HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES album, whilst Depp also narrated the Grammy-winning documentary on THE DOORS "When You're Strange" and Krieger appeared in the FOO FIGHTERS "Sonic Highways" documentary. Generation after generation has been inspired.
"The Ritual Begins At Sundown" is a 10-song instrumental record which was recorded at Robby's own Horse Latitudes Studio in Los Angeles and features nine originals and one cover, the Frank Zappa song "Chunga's Revenge", which has a worthy place in the track listing with the incredible Zappa musicians on the album.
The album really is a return to friends, with Robby's relationship with Barrow and Sal Marquez dating all the way back to his first solo album.
"After THE DOORS, I started becoming interested in jazz and started hanging out with a guy called Sal Marquez," he says. "So we put this band together and that was the first Robby Krieger band and we played at the Whiskey A Go Go with Don Preston, Zappa's keyboard player. Arthur Barrow who was a huge Zappa fan — this was before he worked with Frank — he decided that, after graduating from North Texas State music school that he was gonna come out to L.A. and try to get into Frank's band, which was pretty brash of him," he laughs. "He started hanging out with Don and with Zappa, Don was in my band so we decided to put Arthur in charge of the mixing at the Whiskey for our shows, that's when I first met him in the '70s."

BRUJERIA Is Back With 'COVID-666' Digital Single, Video/
Extreme metallers BRUJERIA have released their new "COVID-666" digital single via Nuclear Blast Records. In celebration, the band offers fans a quarantine-style music video for the title track, directed by Juan Brujo.
BRUJERIA comments: "The coronavirus is the devil's plague sent to purge humanity of all kinds! Leaving survivors to suffer with no jobs, no money and forces a social media lifestyle on the entire world! On the bright side of it all... now I can go out shopping without scaring everyone to death! Jajajaja."
The production and mixing for the single, including the artwork. was handled by Juan Brujo.
"COVID-666" digital single track listing:
01. COVID-666
02. Cocaina
BRUJERIA's most recent album, "Pocho Aztlan", was the band's first release since "Brujerizmo" came out in 2000 via Roadrunner. It was recorded over the course of many years and at several studios around the globe. The end result was mixed by Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, THE EXPLOITED).
The "Pocho Aztlan" title translates to "Wasted Promised Land," a combination of Aztlán, the fabled ancestral home of the Aztecs, and the term pocho, which native Mexicans use to refer — not always kindly — to their counterparts born in the States. Frontman Brujo himself is a pocho, a man caught between two worlds. Many pochos are not exactly accepted with open arms in Mexico. Meanwhile, they're too often regarded as second-class citizens in their adopted U.S. home. Brujo has transcended both scenarios through the power of BRUJERIA's uncompromising grindcore and death metal. His all-Spanish lyrics are as vivid as they are effective: Bona fide tales from the frontlines of the drug war, the racial divide, and the battle for the border. "A lot of BRUJERIA songs are true stories," Brujo said. "And if they haven't happened yet, they will happen."
In a 2017 interview with Myglobalmind, Brujo stated about Donald Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border: "Well, things like that wall get me going, because it gets people to hate again. For the last 15 to 20 years, the hate was low. It was disappearing. Then Trump comes along, and everybody hates everybody. The blacks hate the whites, people driving cars on sidewalks, killing anti-fascist people. All that came back. I'm old enough to know what it was like in the '60s and '70s, and I see it coming back so fast."
He continued: "I lived in the Los Angeles area my whole life, so I've seen it from the hippies all the way to now, and it got BRUJERIA active again. It gets me mad. I might end up in jail sooner or later, but it's all good." 3

BEHEMOTH's NERGAL Blasts Polish President: 'Five Years Of Continuous Incompetence Is Enough'BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal "Darski has urged his fellow Poles to vote in the country's presidential election on Sunday.
Conservative incumbent Andrzej Duda is widely expected to win the first round of the election, but faces stiff competition from liberal Warsaw mayor Rafał Trzaskowski of the center-right opposition party Civic Platform, which governed from 2007 to 2015. Trzaskowski, a liberal supporter of LGBT rights, has surged in opinion polls. (According to a poll conducted last year, 65 percent of Poles are against gay marriage and 73 per cent against adoption by same-sex couples.) Trzaskowski is considered the leading candidate among the nine hopefuls running against Duda.
Earlier today, Nergal took to his Instagram to write: "Presidential elections tmrw my fellow Poles! EVERY fuckin' vote counts and can make a difference! Personally, I think 5 years of massive embarrassment and continuous incompetence of current president and its party is ENOUGH. I vote for FREEDOM and want my voice to echo across the Universe!"
Poland's election was originally scheduled for May 10 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
For the past five years, Poland has been governed by Law And Justice (PiS) party, commonly described as a "right-wing" party.
Duda on Wednesday (June 24) became the first foreign leader to visit U.S. President Donald Trump since the coronavirus pandemic led to global lockdowns.

CHRIS JERICHO Teams Up With BRUCE KULICK For Cover Of KISS's 'Heart Of Chrome'The new rock "supergroup" KUARANTINE, featuring FOZZY frontman and multi-hyphenate superstar Chris Jericho, has released its latest KISS cover, "Heart Of Chrome", the follow-up to its May debut "No No No". The new single, available via Madison Records with distribution by The Orchard, features former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick as a special guest joining Jericho (vocals), drummer Kent Slucher (LUKE BRYAN), guitarist Joe McGinness (KLASSIK '78) and bassist PJ Farley (TRIXTER).
"All of us in KUARANTINE were pleasantly surprised and stoked to hear the HUGE reaction to our first single 'No No No'," shares Jericho. "So, what can a band that specializes in non-make up '80s KISS songs do to top that reaction with their second single? How about tap the guitar player from that era to join the band? That's exactly what we did when we asked former KISS axeman Bruce Kulick to join us on 'Heart Of Chrome'...and he CRUSHED IT! See kids, there's always a positive in every negative: only in a pandemic can you form a KISS cover band with the ex-guitar player from KISS!"
KUARANTINE was the special guests recently on the May 23 episode of Jericho's weekly livestream "Saturday Night Special", drawing over 100,000 viewers on Facebook and YouTube Live.
In addition to his world-renowned wrestling career, first with World Wrestling Entertainment and now with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Chris Jericho is the lead singer of the internationally successful rock band FOZZY, which will be releasing their eighth full-length album this fall, featuring their latest single "Nowhere To Run", the band's third Top 10 hit on Active Rock radio. The pop culture icon is also the host of "The Rock Of Jericho" weekly radio show on SiriusXM Octane and the widely popular "Talk Is Jericho" podcast, as well as a four-time New York Times best-selling author and actor. Chris also runs the entertainment news site Web Is Jericho. For the past three decades, Chris Jericho has established himself as a multi-faceted talent with tens of millions of fans worldwide.
For KUARANTINE, Jericho has surrounded himself with a group of top-notch touring musicians. Kent Slucher has been the powerhouse behind the kit at Luke Bryan's shows for the past 12 years, from small clubs to headlining giant stadiums. Joe McGinness is a rising country singer/guitarist, who has shared the stage with artists such as OLD DOMINION, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE and GRANGER SMITH, and is also a member of KLASSIK '78, a digital tribute to '70s KISS. Bassist PJ Farley rose to fame in the New Jersey-based gold-selling rock band TRIXTER, which toured with KISS, POISON, SCORPIONS and more in the '90s and has released two albums since reuniting in 2008.
KUARANTINE is back with another rockin' song to keep listeners entertained this summer. 1

VIMIC Frontman KALEN CHASE Releases 'Good Things' Solo SingleVIMIC frontman Kalen Chase has released a new solo single, "Good Things", featuring Brian Viglione of THE DRESDEN DOLLS on drums. You can now watch the official lyric video for the track below.
"The inspiration for 'Good Things' was just one of those magic moments where I was in a bad mood, and my wife said something like, 'Y'know, there's good things happening,' and I said 'Well, they're not happening now,' and walked away," Kalen told American Songwriter. "That's where the line of 'good things are happening somewhere, but not happening here today' came from, then I did my usual thing of writing filler."
Chase is a rare breed. Born in Southern California and growing up in Washington state until his dream of becoming a lumberjack were dashed to the ground, this singer, songwriter, guitar-player, and producer has toured the world with several major performing acts.
In 2006, Kalen joined KORN on tour, primarily on backing vocals, and can be heard and seen in the "MTV Unplugged (Live)" release in 2007 where he was featured playing an exotic array of instruments. He remained with KORN — often seen as The White Rabbit — until 2008.
While working with KORN, Kalen fronted the band THE CHANGING, where he collaborated again with Jonathan Davis on single "Jerry Bruckheimer". His career in metal would continue as the lead vocalist for the band SUPERFIX, before joining forces with Joey Jordison (formerly of SLIPKNOT) as the lead vocalist for VIMIC in 2016.
Now, Kalen has embarked on a new path, building upon his singer-songwriter roots, hard rock persona, and production experience to create a sound of his own.
Chase originals "While You Hide, Dear God" and "All In All" can be found on collaboration project "Sad Atoms Presents Hifi Americana", released in March 2020. "When The Sun Comes Up", an impromptu acoustic single also released in March 2020, was written to inspire a little hope in the madness as quarantine began to set in.

THE NYCHILLHARMONIC Prog-Jazz-Rock Orchestra Releases New Single "Mean"The NYChillharmonic prog-jazz-rock orchestra fronted by mastermind Sara McDonald. (vocals, composer, arranger) has released a new single "Mean", which can be heard below. It is available via Spotify here.
An official video for the track is due to be released in the coming weeks.
McDonald: "'Mean' was written in the middle of the night two days before a headlining show at (le) Poisson Rouge in NYC. The full orchestration, including vocal line and lyrics, was written in one sitting with the printed charts barely making it onto everyone's stands the next morning at rehearsal.
'Mean' is a sonically massive, orchestral-rock piece that features chugging guitar and bass lines, anthemic vocals, swirling strings and horns, and thrashing drums. The lyrics are written from two perspectives, creating a conversation between the narrator and their own moral conscience. The line 'You're so mean to me' is repeated throughout the song, as the narrator's conscience struggles to convey the importance of self-respect to her literal self.
'Mean' navigates through a fusion of genres while wildly yet, seamlessly moving from section to section, bounding through the narrative and sonic arc to an epic and emotionally catastrophic finish."

Order here.
After being forced to postpone the release of their upcoming album Kvitravn to January 22, 2021 due to extenuating circumstances throughout the world, traditional Nordic folk outfit Wardruna decided now was not the time to be silent and headed into the studio to write and record a new song, "Lyfjaberg." The title translates to English as a 'healing-hill' or 'healing-mountain' and is known from Norse mythology and the Eddic poem Fjölsvinnsmál as a place of comfort and cure for the sick and sore who manage to climb the mountain and bear offerings at its shrines. Wardruna filmed a music video for "Lyfjaberg" that was filmed in the mountains of the island Tustna in Norway.
The band shot the video in early May, when suddenly winter decided to return with full strength, and they ended up wading in half a meter of snow for three days and nights. On many levels, the process of making of this video reflected the meaning of the song itself. They all had to climb a few of their inner mountains to get it done.
"The song expresses that climbing a tough mountain, both in reality and metaphorically, is a mental as well as a physical effort," shares founding member and composer Einar Selvik. "I have tried to write this journey up the mountain as one for the mind and spirit as much as the feet and body. Anything of true value, comes at a true cost."
Pre-order options for Kvitravn are available via digital download here. The album is also available on CD and 180-gram 2LP gatefold vinyl (black or ltd. Edition white) here.

ETHER COVEN Releases Music Video For “When Quiet Fell”Sonically expansive, aurally depressive metal band Ether Coven release the music video for "When Quiet Fell".
Ether Coven frontman Peter Kowlasky states, "The video for 'When Quiet Fell' was the second video we filmed while on our winter tour earlier this year. I have been friends with Eric Boccio for nearly 2 decades from his time in Kid Georgous and we've been trying to work together for a long while so when we were in California we took no naps and just trucked it to L.A. over night. The explanation for the song, as per the record insert is as follows: In times of desperation and loneliness the only way out is seemingly through. The most trying moments are of negative silence and it is difficult to be comfortable in our own skin. Stagnation feels like betrayal. Trudging forward to exist outside ourselves is nearly impossible to navigate but it is often our only option, so we suffer."
"When Quiet Fell" is off Ether Coven's new full-length album, Everything Is Temporary Except Suffering out now. The album was recorded, mixed and produced by Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Goatwhore) with additional mastering done by Alan Douches (Cradle of Filth, Motorhead) at West West Side. Order the album here.

PRISTINE Release Music Video For "Behind The Line"Norwegian rock band, Pristine, recently released their new digital EP, Fireball. Today, the band offers fans a music video for the track "Behind The Line".
Frontwoman Heidi states" "Finally! The summer is here and we are releasing our third music video. 'Behind The Line' is a psychedelic song about a pretty destructive relationship I had some time ago. I had to work hard not to let him kill my positivism. The song is about knowing your personal line of boundaries, and figuring out how to stay on the right side of the line."
The release of the Fireball EP surfaces in an unexpected time from the Norwegian rock band Pristine. When the world has closed down because of the COVID-19 virus and this pandemic has reached every border, creating confusion and changes that we never would have imagined only a few months ago, Pristine wanted to press the pause button and reflect around who we are. This digital EP release is perhaps the most untypical release from the Norwegian rock band and consists of three songs.

MAD MAX Set August Release For Stormchild Rising Album; Lyric Video For First Single "Hurricaned" StreamingWhether it’s in music or in life: clarity is always the best argument if you want to convince people. Everybody knows where they stand, nobody is left in the dark, reliability and dependability are characteristics that everybody appreciates. Mad Max are musically unambiguous and have been for almost forty years. Their deeply melodic hard rock, driven by haunting guitar riffs, catchy vocals and a rhythm section with an infallible timing, has never lost its contours and honesty. Virtues that apply not only to all previous releases by the band consisting of Michael Voss (vocals/guitar), Jürgen Breforth (guitar), Axel Kruse (drums) and Thomas "Hutch" Bauer (bass), but also to their latest offering, Stormchild Rising.
Stormchild Rising celebrates a musical direction that has never lost its significance, despite all trends and short-lived fashions, and that’s also what Mad Max’s fans demand vociferously. “On our last tour we talked to fans from lots of different countries every night and found out that they don’t want us to experiment, they want to hear exactly the kind of songs that Mad Max have been known for since 1981,” says Breforth, looking back at the important insights gained during their tour supporting their previous album, Thirty 5.
How exactly this unambiguousness sounds in 2020 is revealed by the first single release "Hurricaned", supported by a lyric video clip and socio-critical message. “We’re all subjected to a veritable hurricane of media overkill every day and can hardly process that flood of information,” Breforth explains the lyric, which was written before the Corona crisis and hence has almost prophetic traits. “With the relentless coverage of the pandemic since spring 2020, the media overkill has grown even worse.” Musically, ‘Hurricaned’ is Mad Max’s homage to Rainbow and their frontman Ronnie Romero, whom they met during their joint tour with CoreLeoni and who shares the vocals on ‘Hurricaned’ with Michael Voss. You can watch the lyric video below.
Stormchild Rising will be released as a CD DigiPak, limited vinyl, CD/LP bundle with shirt (exclusively in the Steamhammer Shop) download and stream on August 21 via SPV/Steamhammer. Pre-order here.
