Dying Vision drop their first single "Plague Bringer" ahead of their second album release set for August 27th this year. They have launched the single with a lyric video set on an eye catching gothic cathedral background.

Whilst the song itself features a historical moment from long ago, it has a theme that is equally very current today and will resonate with everyone. The track boasts huge vocal flails, punchy riffs and crushing grooves that will leave you wanting more!

"The theme of our album, Death And Its Slaughter, is about death and the forms that have represented it, for example in personification and the ceremonies such as weighing of a soul," says vocalist Richard Ashton.

"Such metaphors appear in the historical accounts from superstitious citizens. Part of the song 'Plague Bringer’ was inspired by one from the catastrophic bubonic plague (or ‘black death’ as it became known) that referred to citizens inviting death to relieve them from suffering – hence the lyric ‘I hear you calling my name’."

"The global pandemic that emerged recently has made this song an apt choice for our first release and it bears relevance today – in relation to the fear of dying, resignation in the face of death and surrounding superstitions or misinformation."

"We have come together as a collective of influences and styles and created something that we feel really tells a story on each track. We have infused our different characters and created something that we feel truly encompasses what, and who we are."

Sabaton has issued a live music video for "The Price Of A Mile". The song appears on the band's 2008 album, The Art Of War. The clip was filmed on stage during 2020's The Great Tour in Helsinki, Finland with Apocalyptica.

In concert news, Sabaton have added more dates to their previously announced tour early next year through their native Sweden.

Bassist Pär Sundström: "We realized that 23 shows were not enough to cover Sweden properly, so we decided to add a few more. The tour has now grown to 29 dates, making it our largest tour in Sweden so far, and probably the largest tour by any metal band. Several of the already announced shows had sold out in the first week, and we are so damn happy and proud to see your enthusiasm about this tour!"

Fierce Heart, who just signed with Dark Star Records, are streaming a new song, "Built For Speed", taken from ther forthcoming album War For The World. Check it out below.

In 1985, Atlantic Records released the debut album from Fierce Heart. Fronted by guitar icon Rex Carroll, the band received high praise in the music press, Guitar Player Magazine, Billboard, Kerrang, Metal Forces and Guitar For The Practicing Musician. In 1986, Carroll formed Whitecross and also played in the critically acclaimed band King James while new singer for Fierce Heart, Robert Reynolds, headed up the band Grave Danger from L.A.

Following the original Atlantic album release, AOR Blvd Records contacted Caroll for an official, sanctioned re-release. This project became a springboard, with a performance that followed at the Melodic Rock Festival. Fierce Heart was the surprise hit of the festival, with fans turning out in droves, demanding the permanent reformation of the band and a new album.

Crossover party thrashers Insanity Alert are teaming up with Koloss Skateboard for the release of the Shredator skateboard deck!

Bonded by a beer drinkin' and hellraisin' pact of thrash and skate, the band pitched the idea of a skater version of the great '80s Schwarzenegger movie The Predator to Koloss Skateboards and the rest is history. The Shredator skate deck was designed by artist James Callahan, a.k.a Barf Comics, who also created the album artwork for Insanity Alert's Moshburger. The skateboard is available at Black Heaven Shop along with a limited edition white flexi vinyl and other Insanity Alert merchandise. You can find it here. 

In celebration of the new skateboard, the band has also dropped a new single, aptly titled "Shredator".

The soul in the solo and the gift of the riff. The blues from the heart and the colour in the art. Emerging from the underground of Montreal comes The Naked High. Joining forces in the summer of 2015, connected by a love of similar music ranging from blues to rock to metal, the dauntless quartet brings an electric chemistry to their music, amplified when they are on stage.

The Naked High is: Hugo Leclerc-Charron delivering solos on guitar, Simon Ouellet with Iron Maiden-esque vocals, Phil Perreault keeping the low end steady, and Charlie Cayouette backing everything up with his rocking beat.

Soon after they formed they began writing their first EP, the self-titled debut came out in 2017 and showed off their proclivity for catchy, smooth tunes with personal lyrics. Their wide variety of influences and love for rock n’ roll ensures their music is written effortlessly and naturally.

Perry Farrell says that Donald Trump has done more damage to evangelical religion than any other president.

Earlier today, the JANE'S ADDICTION frontman took to his Twitter to share a Church Leaders article headlined "7 Startling Facts: An Up Close Look at Church Attendance in America", and he included the following message: "Our President is running on a platform of religion. He's Done More (Damage) to Evangelical religion than any other president. Read and weep."

Perry added in a separate tweet: "I did a study this morning to find Evangelical church attendance numbers exceedingly receding. The President's claims he's done more for religion than any other president. True. I doubt he's aware that he's actually Turned Off Their Youth. Time for new leadership. God is loving.."

Trump reportedly won 81% of white evangelical Protestant voters in the 2016 presidential election.

White evangelical Christians make up a major portion of the U.S. electorate, roughly one quarter of all voters in 2016.

In a 2017 interview with Forbes, Farrell slammed Trump, saying that the billionaire real estate mogul "does not seem to really care about people that are outside of his immediate family or income bracket. I'm starting to make some money in my lifetime and I look at this guy who's our president and I just see the way that he behaves towards people that are less fortunate and I think he's doing it all wrong," he said. "I think that when you make money, you have a moral obligation to give back to the people that need you. I try and figure out why he is the way he is, and you know what I conclude, he lacks certain degree of empathy because he grew up always surrounded and protected and he never had to fight and struggle. So he doesn't understand the feelings of those who have to fight and struggle to survive and for the children to survive. He's never had to go through that, so he has no empathy for it."

MORTON GASTER PAPADOPOULOS, the band featuring Yanni Papadopoulos of STINKING LIZAVETA, Jean-Paul Gaster of CLUTCH and Mark Morton of LAMB OF GOD, has released a new single called "The Burnt Offerings". The trio is joined on the song by Naeemah Maddox on vocals and Chris Brooks on keyboards.

Maddox stated about "The Burnt Offerings": "In the current social climate, it is no longer sufficient to be non-racist. One must be anti-racist. This moment demands true accountability, and real change.

"Transnational corporations stating their support for BLM should only be taken as sincere if they also advocate and lobby for social reforms like a living wage, universal healthcare, and defunding and demilitarizing the police; using these new freed up resources to reinvest in vulnerable communities that need it most.

"The time has long passed for petty sloganeering and cynical tokenism. Being against police brutality in 2020 shouldn’t even be a political issue. This is a failure of our society and goes beyond political persuasion. This is about human rights and creating a world our children would want to live in."

Papadopoulos added: "These were my riffs that I brought to the table when jamming with Mark and JP. Those guys took the parts and rearranged them in a less linear order and Mark added his own fills in the spaces. Of course, Naeemah wrote her own parts to the arrangement with lyrics, vox and flute. Chris Brooks filled in the keys. However, it all started with a bassline which I thought JP could really sink his teeth into. J. Robbins was great to work with, he knew just how to make sense of it all. What you're hearing is virtually a live-in-the-studio track. Mark's solo was cut live with bass and drums with no edits. First-take magic!"

Maddox, Papadopoulos and Gaster all previously guested on Morton's debut solo album, "Anesthetic".

TESTAMENT guitarist Alex Skolnick has blasted people who politicize mask wearing, calling it "the stupidest thing I've ever heard."

Earlier today, Skolnick took to his Twitter to respond to a news report about a woman in California who railed against "Democratic pigs" and screamed at employees after they asked her to wear a mask while inside a Trader Joe's store.

After one Twitter used shared video of the woman's rant, Alex posted a short message in which he poked fun of those individuals who feel like wearing a mask is an infringement of freedom.

"'Our freedom. You can't tell me to wear a mask,'" Alex said, mocking people who have adopted the mask-as-submission rallying cry.

"I'm sorry. I have to vent to you guys. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

"You're gonna make it political, wearing a mask? Wearing a mask and going indoors to restaurants and breathing on everybody, making that political? I have to say it's the dumbest thing I've heard since Freedom Fries," referring to the "patriotism" fad from the early 2000s — refusing to eat french fries to protest France's opposition to the U.S.-led war on Iraq.

Skolnick lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York, which was one of the hardest-hit areas in terms of COVID-19 cases.

Two weeks ago, the U.S. Surgeon General urged people to wear face coverings, saying they will promote freedom during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Some feel face coverings infringe on their freedom of choice- but if more wear them, we'll have MORE freedom to go out. Face coverings [leads to] less asymptomatic viral spread [leads to] more places open, and sooner!" Dr. Jerome Adams wrote on Twitter.

In a study published earlier in the month, researchers from Texas A&M University, the California Institute of Technology and the University of California San Diego, concluded "that wearing of face masks in public corresponds to the most effective means to prevent interhuman transmission."

In early April, the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention issued new guidelines that Americans should wear face coverings in public.

THE ROLLING STONES are threatening legal action against Donald Trump if he continues to use the band's music at his campaign rallies.

The legendary British rockers issued a statement on Saturday (June 27) saying that their legal team and performing rights organization BMI are working to stop Trump from using their songs at any of his future political campaigning.

"The BMI have notified the Trump campaign on behalf of THE STONES that the unauthorized use of their songs will constitute a breach of its licensing agreement," a rep for THE ROLLING STONES said. "If Donald Trump disregards the exclusion and persists, then he would face a lawsuit for breaking the embargo and playing music that has not been licensed."

The Trump campaign reportedly played THE ROLLING STONES' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at the president's June 20 rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

BMI told Deadline: "The Trump campaign has a Political Entities License which authorizes the public performance of more than 15 million musical works in BMI's repertoire wherever campaign events occur. There is a provision, however, that allows BMI to exclude musical works from the license if a songwriter or publisher objects to its use by a campaign. BMI has received such an objection and sent a letter notifying the Trump campaign that THE ROLLING STONES' works have been removed from the campaign license, and advising the campaign that any future use of these musical compositions will be in breach of its license agreement with BMI."

The day after the Tulsa rally, Tom Petty's family sent a cease-and-desist notice to the Trump campaign over the president's use of "I Won't Back Down" at the event.

AEROSMITH's Steven Tyler, Neil Young and R.E.M. have all publicly slammed Trump for using their music at his events.

TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto says that wearing a mask is key to slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus — and to further reopening the U.S.

Paolo made his comments in response to a report from the Florida Department of Health, which said the number of known cases of COVID-19 in the state rose by 9,585 since yesterday morning as the virus spreads and as more people are tested across the state. The total number of cases in Florida is now 132,545.

Earlier today, Gregoletto, a former Florida resident who has lived in Chicago for the past few years, took to his Twitter to share an article about the rise in Florida's COVID-19 cases, and he wrote: "The most unsettling part of the move a few weeks ago was seeing how little people were wearing masks down here or wearing them wrong. And Florida businesses had signs that were like 'I guess you can wear a mask if you want' until the obvious happened and now it’s mandatory.

"I'd love to tour at some point and we can't count on a silver bullet vaccine anytime soon," he added. "Masks + keeping things open is better than another full shutdown."

Gregoletto also addressed the fact that TRIVIUM will play a livestreamed show from the band's home base of Orlando on Friday, July 10. The arena-style visual show will stream globally from Full Sail Live, the state-of-the-art event and broadcast arena at Full Sail University.

"Our Full Sail event is going to be strictly the minimum amount of people that need to be there to make shit happen and mandatory masks for all involved or else they won't be allowed in," he explained. "We will only have our masks off for the performance."

TRIVIUM's ninth full-length album, "What The Dead Men Say", was released on April 24 through Roadrunner Records. The LP, which was produced by TRIVIUM and Josh Wilbur, is the follow-up to "The Sin And The Sentence". That effort marked the band's first release with drummer Alex Bent, who joined TRIVIUM in 2016.

At the Full Sail Live event, TRIVIUM will debut a new stage show that is cohesive with new album visuals and will perform songs from the new album onstage for the first time.

As previously reported, the first leg of TRIVIUM's previously announced North American tour with MEGADETH, LAMB OF GOD and IN FLAMES is being rescheduled for 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a brand new interview with That Metal Interview, TRIXTER guitarist Steve Brown was asked about the current status of the band he co-founded in 1983. He said (hear audio below): "I'll be honest and say that we're a fragmented band at the moment. Some internal business stuff went on, which I don't really wanna talk about right now. But, yeah, the band, we're kind of shut down; we're really not working. Pete's [Loran, vocals] got a day job and he's taking care of his kids. So, there's really no band live stuff in the works, sadly. We're celebrating our 30th anniversary of the first album right now. I'm in the process of working with the record company and also with Universal Music in getting the rights and the master tapes back from the first TRIXTER record to be able to do a properly licensed 30th-anniversary remixed and remastered deluxe edition vinyl of the first record. So there's a lot of behind-the-scenes TRIXTER stuff that I'm doing as far as transferring old demos and getting the material ready for an unbelievable deluxe edition, if the powers that be allow us to do that.

"But regarding Pete and Gus [drummer Mark 'Gus' Scott], there's nothing really going on there. And really, the beef between the band is with Mark Scott — he's kind of on the shit list right now, and I don't know if that's ever gonna get repaired. So let's just enjoy the fact that P.J. [Farley, bass] and I are out there making great music. I'm finishing up mixing P.J.'s new solo CD right now. I have the new TOKYO MOTOR FIST record coming out. P.J. and I play with Eric Martin from MR. BIG — we do this MR. BIG/TRIXTER-type show with Eric, which I sing the TRIXTER songs, and fans are loving it. So there's always a lot going on. But I don't foresee the original TRIXTER band playing anytime soon."

Last month, Mark "Gus" Scott discussed TRIXTER's future during a chat with Totally Driven Radio. He said: "Let me say right off the bat, there's no hidden agenda. It's not like I can't say anything. There is nothing to say. There really has been no talk about it.

"I think, at this point, people understand there's almost two schools of thought between the East Coast and the West Coast of what's going on," he said in regard to the possibility of TRIXTER performing again. "But that being said, Lord knows I've said things in the past. I said, 'Oh, this won't happen,' and then two days later, it happened. [Laughs] That's just the way it works — you never know what can happen. So I don't wanna say I'm negative about it; I'm open to any idea. But the way it looks right now, no, it doesn't look good, to be honest with you — no.

"It's been about two and a half years since we've done anything together, and that is not by my choice, that's for sure," he continued. "It's a very sad set of circumstances. I love TRIXTER more than anything in the world — I really do — and if someone said, 'Hey, we have an opportunity to do this tomorrow,' I'd be, like, 'Well, there we go. I'm in.' And, unfortunately, not everybody shares the same sentiment."

According to Mark, the blame for TRIXTER's inactivity doesn't fall squarely on the shoulders on one or two members.

"I have to say, in defense of some of their actions, the circumstances have to be right," he said. "You can't just do it for nothing; we have to do things in a proper fashion. So if the circumstances are right and everybody's attitude is in the right place, is there a possibility? I think there's a possibility, yeah. But right now, I just don't see it.

"I think at the end of the day, there is a lack of desire — there really is," he explained. "And maybe that's on everybody's part — I'm not just gonna pass the buck. But I've gotta say there's probably more desire on my part than most.

"I was always the guy [who would say] I'd do it for nothing. And a part of me wants to do that. And that's really what it's all about. We didn't get into this just for the business end. I wanted to rock, hit my drums and kick butt — that's really what it was all about. But at the end of the day, if you're gonna be a pro band, you've gotta act like a pro. And if you're not going to, then you do the brand a disservice, you do TRIXTER a disservice, you do the fans a disservice.

"If you own a convenience store and you've got four owners, and four different guys have four different opinions, how are you gonna run a good convenience store?" Mark asked rhetorically. "Now, let's throw that in rock and roll with a bunch of rock and roll moron mentalities. It's hard to drive a ship in a certain direction if you're saying, 'Let's go four different ways.' It's not just a rock band — it's anything — and I think people have to understand that. It's a shame, but people's priorities are in different places."

Since reuniting, TRIXTER has released two studio albums via Frontiers Music Srl — 2012's "New Audio Machine" and 2015's "Human Era".

Scott celebrated the 30th anniversary of TRIXTER's biggest MTV hit, "Give It To Me Good", by releasing a solo version of the song on May 14. Enterprise Earth is pleased to unveil the video edition of their rendition of Lamb Of God's "Now You've Got Something To Die For". The surprise EP serves as a bridge piece from their latest full-length effort, Luciferous, into the work being laid down for their forthcoming LP, and also marks the band's first self-produced output.

Foundation Of Bones features one new song from the band (the title track), two cover tunes - Lamb Of God's iconic "Now You've Got Something To Die For" and Necrophagist's "Fermented Offal Discharge" - an acoustic interpretation of "There Is No Tomorrow" from their Luciferous LP, and an instrumental version of the new track.

Comments Enterprise Earth guitarist Gabriel Mangold of the band's Lamb Of God cover, "Lamb Of God is one of our collective favorites as we all draw a significant portion of our influence from their catalog. We really wanted to do something off of Ashes Of The Wake and this song seemed to check all of the boxes for us. Straightforward and to the point, this was a ton of fun to cover."

"Foundation Of Bones was a spur of the moment idea that quickly came to fruition," elaborates Enterprise Earth guitarist Gabriel Mangold. "After returning home from our cancelled tour, we began writing and finishing up new material. While listening back to some new demos and being stoked on the quality of the mixes, we thought, 'Fuck it. Let's give self-production a go and release an impromptu EP!' Dan [Watson] tracked vocals at home in Indianapolis. Brandon [Zackey] recorded drums with our good friend/sound engineer, Chris Ghazel, in Los Angeles. I did guitars, bass, production, and handled mixing/mastering duties in my tiny home trailer studio rig in Taos, New Mexico. After several days of tweaking, we had a mix that we were all very stoked on and felt comfortable moving forward with our first self-produced release. I don't think we intended to accomplish anything specific with this EP other than releasing new music that we were very excited to show the world. However, throughout the process, we realized that we were attaining something vital in addition to releasing new music: the ability to self-produce. The sound we're developing is what we want to sound like, and we've all become that much more connected to our music now that we're at the reigns throughout the entire creative and production processes. We are very excited to continue developing our sound and have decided to self-produce our next LP."

Buried Realm is a solo studio project, hatched from the mind of Josh Dummer. It is the second album he has put out under that moniker and once again he has written an epic, creative record filled not only with his own talent but also with that of a smorgasbord of special guests from around the world. SYSTEM OF A DOWN singer Serj Tankian says that "the amount of online hate and stupidity" he and his bandmate John Dolmayan are subjected to is "unjustifiable."

Earlier today, Tankian took to his Instagram to write: "My drummer and brother in law @johndolmayan_ whom I love and respect irrespective of our extremely polarized political commentary and differences has always been my stalwart ally in efforts for recognition of the Armenian genocide within Soad.

"The amount of online hate and stupidity against him and I are unjustifiable: social media has created an erroneous digital society that partially thrives on this reality.

"Remember irrespective of the stance, only artists that truly care and are impassioned will risk alienating their base for what they consider the truth. Our dilemma and possible fallacy is that we have two in one band. Some may consider that a weakness but the artistic, political and social dichotomy if not quadrichotomy (not a word) has made @systemofadown what it is today.

Last week, Tankian implied in an Instagram post that fans who listen to SYSTEM OF A DOWN music and support U.S. president Donald Trump are "hypocrites."

Tankian's views are in sharp contrast to those of Dolmayan, who has praised Trump in recent weeks.

Earlier in the month, Tankian called for Trump to resign and described him as "completely useless" over his handling of the coronavirus outbreak.

Other members of SYSTEM have also been outspoken in their criticism of the U.S. president, with guitarist Daron Malakian telling The Independent: "[Trump is] not careful with his words, and he doesn't seem to realize that everybody's listening to him. He does things that would have got another president impeached. Because we live in the social media world our attention spans are so small and so brief... that's why Trump works, because he makes himself the biggest conversation, and the biggest news, every day."

QUEENSRŸCHE singer Todd La Torre says that it is the height of selfishness to not wear a mask.

La Torre made the comment as lawmakers push harder for their constituents to wear face masks to limit the spread of coronavirus. President Donald Trump has been loath to wear a mask, despite the advice of public health experts.

Earlier today, Todd took to his Twitter to share a picture of a surgical mask along with the following text: "A Mask Is Not A Political Statement. It's An I.Q. Test." He added in the tweet: "If you are someone not wearing a mask, you are part of the problem. 125k DEAD, 2.5 MILLION cases and rising. This selfishness couldn't be more evident. You want to get back to work? You want to go out and socialize someday? Put your fucking mask on!!!"

La Torre is a resident of Florida, which announced that the number of known cases of COVID-19 in the state rose by 9,585 since yesterday morning as the virus spreads and as more people are tested across the state. The total number of cases in Florida is now 132,545.

Two weeks ago, the U.S. Surgeon General urged people to wear face coverings, saying they will promote freedom during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Some feel face coverings infringe on their freedom of choice- but if more wear them, we'll have MORE freedom to go out. Face coverings [leads to] less asymptomatic viral spread [leads to] more places open, and sooner!" Dr. Jerome Adams wrote on Twitter.

In a study published earlier in the month, researchers from Texas A&M University, the California Institute of Technology and the University of California San Diego, concluded "that wearing of face masks in public corresponds to the most effective means to prevent interhuman transmission."

In early April, the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention issued new guidelines that Americans should wear face coverings in public.

Next week's episode of the acclaimed celebrity docuseries "Final 24" will focus on THE DOORS frontman Jim Morrison.

Whether you call him Jim Morrison or The Lizard King, you know him as a rock and roll icon. He was a poet that wrote some of the most incredible lyrics of all time and fronted THE DOORS.

In 1971, Jim Morrison and his longtime girlfriend fell asleep after taking drugs, but woke up because Morrison was having trouble breathing. Instead of seeking medical attention, Morrison decided to take a bath and his girlfriend went back to bed. She found him at 8:30 a.m. on July 3, 1971, dead in the bathtub making him a member of the notorious "27 Club." He was buried within three days in the Poet's Corner of Paris' Pere Lachaise cemetery. His girlfriend died three years later of a heroin overdose.

Morrison's rebellious attitude and scandalous antics made him an icon in the world of rock and roll and, unfortunately, may have led to his untimely death. As no autopsy was performed, the exact cause of Morrison's death remains a mystery to this day. AXS TV attempts to solve the mystery on "Final 24" on Wednesday, July 1 at 9/8c. Morrison was the main songwriter of THE DOORS, although every member contributed.

Last month, AXS TV announced that the network had acquired both seasons of "Final 24". The company acquired all 14 episodes of the hour-long series from Cineflix Rights.

Using crafted dramatizations blended with archive footage, "Final 24" takes viewers through the last hours of some of entertainment and culture's most iconic — and infamous — figures while also celebrating their lives and esteemed accomplishments. Examining glossed-over details, flawed rationale, and surrounding events, the series seeks to shine a light on 14 deaths which shook the nation and left an indelible mark both on pop culture and history. From murder and suicide, to overdose and malfunction, "Final 24" provides unflinching details and in-depth analysis to help better understand the thoughts, feelings, and actions experienced by each of the docuseries' unique subjects.

The season opened with punk rock pioneer Sid Vicious on June 3, and also includes profiles of model Nicole Brown Simpson (June 10); rap legend Tupac Shakur (June 17); troubled bombshell Anna Nicole Smith (June 24); magazine magnate and political royalty John F. Kennedy Jr. (July 8); fashion mastermind Gianni Versace (July 15); soulful songstress Janis Joplin (July 22); the godfather of gonzo journalism Hunter S. "Final 24" originally aired for two seasons in 2006 and 2007 on other networks.

Robb Flynn has pushed back against people criticizing him for expressing his political opinions on social media and through his music.

The MACHINE HEAD frontman recently caught flak from some fans when he slammed President Donald Trump in a post on the band's web site, calling the billionaire real estate mogul "the embodiment of everything that I cannot stand in a human being" and "the epitome of New York City, elite, coastal, WHITE privilege."

Flynn defended his right to speak out on political issues during a new interview with U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine. He said: "I post on Instagram a lot. I've been very angry about the state of the world, posting pictures and videos of the protests of late. A lot of people support that. A lot of people shit all over it. There's always a very loud minority who're in the 'Shut up and sing!' category. But I don't know what they think I've been singing about for the last 27 years. What do they think 'A Thousand Lies' is about? 'Clenching The Fists Of Dissent'? 'Halo'? 'In The Presence Of My Enemies'? 'A Farewell To Arms'? Maybe it's just dawning on people, but I don't know what the hell they have been listening to. The politics have always been a big part of MACHINE HEAD."

Asked if he feels like the metal — and broader music — communities are doing enough, Flynn responded: "I'm not really a follower of the metal community at large, but I feel like the response has been a little bit quiet. Maybe I'm reading that wrong. I do know that there are a small group of people — younger bands — who are working hard to address it. FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY just had a 'We Can Do Better' campaign — two days of coverage and interviews and an auction to which we contributed, where they raised $60,000 for the ACLU — and it was awesome to see them using their platform like that. Honestly, though, the biggest thing I saw was Taylor Swift clapping back at Donald Trump on Twitter, telling him this is what happens when you stuff white supremacy down people's throats for three years. I was just, like, 'Wow! Good for you.'"

On June 17, MACHINE HEAD released "Civil Unrest", a two-song digital single featuring A-side "Stop The Bleeding" and B-side "Bulletproof". This pair of fierce protest anthems were both written days after the back-to-back murders of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. "Stop The Bleeding" features a guest appearance from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Jesse Leach, with Flynn and Leach trading lyrical lines that spit anger and frustration at current events.

MACHINE HEAD is donating a significant portion of the streaming proceeds from "Stop The Bleeding" to Grassroots Law Project, the organization representing George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.

LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe says that he "would love" to play in the Czech Republic again.

In 2012, Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic and charged with manslaughter for allegedly pushing a 19-year-old fan offstage at a show two year prior and causing injuries that led to the fan's death. Blythe spent 37 days in a Prague prison before ultimately being found not guilty in 2013.

Randy addressed the possibility of performing in the Czech Republic while answering fan questions earlier this week during a Reddit AMA.

He said: "I would love to play in the Czech Republic again — I have nothing against the Czech people, and I was not mistreated there. Eventually I think we might play there again, but it will 100 percent have to be with the cooperation of the family of the young man who died, and I would want to give the money from the show to a charity they choose. If we played there, it would be a huge news story, and I do not wish to cause the young man's family anymore pain — they did no wrong, and were not cruel to me at all; in fact they showed me great kindness. But they have suffered enough, so it is out of respect to them we have not returned. I hope the Czech fans understand."

Blythe's prison experience inspired two songs on LAMB OF GOD's 2015 album "VII: Sturm Und Drang": "512", one of his three prison cell numbers, and "Still Echoes", written while he was in Pankrac Prison, a dilapidated facility built in the 1880s that had been used for executions by the Nazis during World War II. It also led him to write the memoir "Dark Days", in which he shared his whole side of the story publicly for the first time.

"I think artistically, it was a very valid choice to use those two songs because they come from a very real, very dark place," Blythe told the New York Post back in 2015. "I write about things that are impactful for my life that stir up emotion in me, that affect me, that have some sort of impact within my life. Not that going to prison has no impact in my life, but I was out of prison and I felt it would be disingenuous to use it as a creative well to draw from."

Blythe is currently promoting LAMB OF GOD's self-titled album, which was released on June 19 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to 2015's "VII: Sturm Und Drang" marks the band's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined LOG last year as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.

"Lamb Of God" was recorded with longtime producer Josh Wilbur (KORN, MEGADETH, GOJIRA, TRIVIUM) and includes special guest appearances by Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT).

BUTCHER BABIES frontwoman Heidi Shepherd believes that she has a "ghost" in her house. Earlier today, the singer took to Instagram to share a short video clip captured by her home security camera system, and she included the following message: "It's official; WE'VE GOT A GHOST! Every night for the past several nights, I've been getting 3 or 4 motion detection notifications in my living room. We're on vacation! This is what my cameras caught last night at 3:11am.. Something appears to get up off the ottoman and then jet past the camera. What do you think is going in here? Bug? Ghost? Particles?"

Shepherd reportedly shares a home in Los Angeles with her boyfriend and BUTCHER BABIES bandmate Henry Flury.

BUTCHER BABIES recently completed work on their fourth album, tentatively due in late 2020 or early 2021 via an as-yet-undetermined record label.

The band's latest LP, "Lilith", which was released in October 2017 via Century Media.

Shepherd told ELUVEITIE's "Corona Talk" that "it was a hard decision to part ways with Century Media. Here in the U.S., the label doesn't exactly exist much here anymore," she said. "And so it was a really difficult decision. We were with them for our entire career; we've been a band for 10 years. It just wasn't working here in the States. But we do love our Century Media family.

"Lilith" was produced by Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, SUICIDE SILENCE) and marked BUTCHER BABIES' recording debut with drummer Chase Brickenden, who replaced Chris Warner in 2016.

Last July, longtime BUTCHER BABIES bassist Jason Klein announced his departure from the band. He has since been replaced by Ricky Bonazza.

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT will return with a mammoth new studio album, "The Symbol Remains", this October. Coming nearly two decades after the release of the band's last studio LP, "Curse Of The Hidden Mirror", the effort showcases a band which hasn't been slowed by the time passed but is simply unfazed by it. "The Symbol Remains" is said to be one of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's most spirited, diverse and inspired releases to date.

As the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait," and the 14 new songs on display here embody that. Fans will be delighted with an extremely inspired album which ultimately sounds like a band looking back at their storied catalog and giving the fans a bit of everything they've ever loved about BÖC, while simultaneously continuing to evolve.

For over four decades, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT has been thrilling fans of intelligent hard rock worldwide with powerful albums loaded with classic songs. Indeed, the Long Island, New York‐based band is revered within the hard rock and heavy metal scene for its pioneering work. BLUE ÖYSTER CULT occupies a unique place in rock history because it's one of very few hard rock/heavy metal bands to earn both genuine mainstream critical acclaim as well as commercial success. Now they have partnered up with Frontiers Music Srl to continue their amazing journey.

BÖC is often cited as a major influence by other acts such as METALLICA, and BÖC was listed in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

Upon the release of BÖC's self-titled debut album in 1972, the band was praised for its catchy-yet-heavy music and lyrics that could be provocative, terrifying, funny or ambiguous, often all in the same song. BÖC's canon contains three stone‐cold classic songs that will waft through the cosmos long after the sun has burned out: the truly haunting "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from 1976's "Agents Of Fortune", the pummeling "Godzilla" from 1977's "Spectres" and the hypnotically melodic "Burnin' for You" from 1981's "Fire Of Unknown Origin". Other notable BÖC songs include "Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll", "Then Came The Last Days Of May", "I Love The Night", "In Thee", "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars", "Dominance And Submission", "Astronomy", "Black Blade" and "Shooting Shark".

The intense creative vision of BÖC's original core duo of vocalist/lead guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom are complemented by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, and the longtime rhythm section of bass guitarist Danny Miranda, and drummer Jules Radino.

Former OF MICE & MEN frontman Austin Carlile has denied multiple claims of sexual misconduct, which were posted by an alleged victim on social media. The 32-year-old singer has been accused of sexually assaulting several women.

The accuser took to her Facebook to detail the allegations and call out Alternative Press for not reporting over 15 different stories shared with the publication regarding Carlile's behavior. Her account was corroborated by her husband. The magazine responded by saying, "For legal purposes regarding the Austin Carlile accusations, the story couldn't run as it was told," and later posted a lengthier statement explaining its decision to bury the story.

Carlile's former bandmates issued a statement of their own in which they did not mention him by name but said that they "absolutely condemn sexual violence and harassment in any form."

Carlile — who became a born-again Christian in 2016 — released a statement on Wednesday (June 17) admitting that he "acted like a jerk" and did things that he is "not proud of," but insisted he "never violated anyone."

Carlile's full statement reads as follows:

"In my younger years, I absolutely was not the best person, but I have never physically abused, preyed upon, forced myself upon, or drugged any woman. These accusations are false and defamatory.

"I am not a perfect person: I smoked marijuana daily, drank often, got into fights and acted like a jerk more times than I can count. I did things and acted in ways that I am not proud of, but never have I violated anyone. These 'accusations' being thrown around on social media, in our current 'cancel culture' climate, are extremely heinous and completely without merit.

"My wife is a molestation and rape survivor, and I have personally seen the deep, long-standing pain that she battles with every day. I have spent years surrendering my flesh over to God, allowing Him to constantly improve who I am as a man, husband, and father. During this past week, I have even had the joy of seeing the heartbeat of my new child for the very first time. Today, I am focused on supporting my pregnant wife, our daughter, this new blessing in our lives, my health, my wife's health, and striving to be a better person every day.

"These accusations have been investigated by the appropriate authorities as well as independent journalists and were determined to be unfounded. I apologize to the Marfan Foundation, I Am Second, my former bandmates and any of our dedicated fans who have been unjustly brought into this controversy and wish them all nothing but the best.

"All women deserve to feel safe, supported, and heard, but these unjust attacks upon my family and accusations against me, are decades-old claims that are unfounded."

Carlile left OF MICE & MEN in 2016 due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that afflicts the connective tissue holding the body's cells, organs and tissue together.

Carlile originally exited OF MICE & MEN in 2010 after his doctor forbade him from touring to undergo heart surgery tied to complications with Marfan Syndrome. He returned in 2011, but his ailments didn't cease, forcing him to depart the band for the second, and presumably final, time nearly four years ago.

METALLICA's Kirk Hammett, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Suzi Quatro and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' Chad Smith are among the musicians who appear in the newly released trailer for a documentary film titled "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine", which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival last year. The trailer features vintage videos and various Creem covers throughout the seventies and eighties.

"I lived by what was printed in Creem magazine," Hammett says in the video, which can be seen below.

Capturing the messy upheaval of the 1970s just as rock was re-inventing itself, the documentary film explores Creem magazine's humble beginnings in post-riot Detroit, follows its upward trajectory from underground paper to national powerhouse, then bears witness to its imminent demise following the tragic and untimely deaths of its visionary publisher, Barry Kramer, and its most famous alum and genius clown prince, Lester Bangs, a year later. Fifty years after publishing its first issue, "America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine" remains a seditious spirit in music and culture.

The documentary "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine", formerly known as "Boy Howdy: The Story Of Creem Magazine", is directed by American filmmaker Scott Crawford, his second film after making the doc "Salad Days" previously. The film features additional interviews with Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, Paul Stanley (KISS), Gene Simmons (KISS), and more. It was produced by Barry Kramer's son, JJ Kramer, and Creem alum Jaan Uhelszki, and features music by MC5's Wayne Kramer (who is also interviewed for the film).

Greenwich Entertainment will release "Creem: America's Only Rock 'N' Roll Magazine" in select theaters starting in August.
