Florida’s MIND OF FURY Ink Deal With RFL RecordsFlorida’s monsoon of melodic power metal, Mind Of Fury, have inked a worldwide deal with Pittsburgh based RFL Records. The trio delivers a special brand of hard rock that captures the huge, hooks and heavy thunder of the power metal elite, combined with the killer progressions of a neo-classical flair, Mind Of Fury are planning a full-out assault on the metal faithful in 2019 with a brand new album slated for June release.
The band adds: “We are very honored and grateful to be part of the RFL family. We are excited and look forward to bringing our music to the world. RFL Records and Mind of Fury are ready to bring big things to the world of rock n roll.” In September 2015, Mind Of Fury was formed by musicians Gheeyeh, Henry Moreno and Mike Frankenbush. Gheeyeh, originally hailing from Santiago, Chile, moved to the states in 2012 and soon after recorded an album with Nick Z. Marino (Keyboardist for Yngwie Malmsteen). Ghee’s unique style has been described as Metallica meets Pantera meets Yngwie – with big riffs and shredding guitar. Ghee moved to central Florida where he met Henry Moreno (ex-Imagika, Taunted). Originally form San Jose, California, Henry spent the last two decades touring and recording music in the vein of Bay Area thrash metal. Ghee and Henry connected in Florida and soon after added Mike Frankenbush to round out the power trio. A Chicago native, Mike was the perfect fit, with a thundering sound reminiscent of the powerful, heavy hitters. The chemistry was right, so the band decided that Ghee would take on vocal duties and the manifestation of Mind Of Fury was cemented. The band quickly wrote, recorded and released their debut album “Do Or Die” in 2016 to much critical acclaim. Described as hard-hitting, melodic and powerful, the band followed up by solidifying their status as one of Hard Rocks brightest on the rise by securing a spot on the Rocklahoma Festival in 2017. Mind of Fury is set to release their sophomore album titled, The Fire, via RFL Records this coming June with shows already scheduled in Florida with more to follow throughout the rest of 2019.
Mind Of Fury is:
Gheeyeh – guitar/vocals
Henry Moreno – drums
Mike Frankenbush – bass/vocals

ATLAS ENTITY Featuring DEVIN TOWNSEND Drummer SAMUS PAULICELLI Announce Beneath The Cosmic Silence DebutFlorida-based progressive death metal outfit Atlas Entity has announced the upcoming release of their first full-length album, Beneath The Cosmic Silence. The album is set for a Friday, June 14th release date. It is the follow up to the project's 2015 EP, Enceladus, which was well-received by sites and writers alike worldwide and the project's first effort after forming in 2014. Several years in the making, Beneath The Cosmic Silence is a multi-faceted progressive death metal experience enhanced by melodic death metal, technical death metal, and black metal elements.
The release once again unites multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Alex Gallegos with world-renowned drummer Samus Paulicelli, best known for his work with Decrepit Birth and his current year performance on the new Devin Townsend album, Empath. The group's prior 2015 effort had likewise featured Samus Paulicelli on session drums just as the new Atlas Entity album does. The artwork featured in Beneath the Cosmic Silence was created by the band's own core member Alex Gallegos and comes from images he shot when traveling across the U.S. exploring nature in his off time. The recording for the album was handled at home studios and at work studios between Alex and Samus respectively. Mixing and mastering for the release was handled by Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, PA, both of which are well-known thanks to their top-notch work for high-profile bands such as Rivers of Nihil, August Burns Red, and Black Crown Initiate to name a few.
At its core, Beneath the Cosmic Silence is a two-man line-up, yet it is quite an ambitious and wide-spanning effort that outdoes many bands with a far more expansive core line-up. The album's sole guest spot is likewise a high-profile appearance, sporting a guest guitar solo from Obscura guitarist Rafael Trujillo on the closing song "Celestial Noise".
As Atlas Entity mastermind Alex Gallegos is keen to state, Beneath the Cosmic Silence is quite a different experience than their 2015 EP, Enceladus. He considers their new effort to be "more of a melodic death metal experience", while still heavy on progressive death metal, newfound black metal inflected ideas and further supported by plenty of emotive acoustic guitar work and clean singing for the first time on some tracks as well.
Atlas Entity comments on the release of Beneath The Cosmic Silence
“Songs from Beneath The Cosmic Silence cover various topics and stories such as becoming the wendigo, desert ghosts searching for their rightful place, lost gold beneath the mountains of Arizona, and more. This album is a bit of a departure from our previous release Enceladus, whereas the focus was more on the composition of the songs rather than raw technicality. While there are several technical parts in Beneath the Cosmic Silence, I wouldn’t call it a ‘tech-death’ album. I think this album would be enjoyed most by people who are fans of older Opeth, Amorphis, Agalloch, Falls of Rauros, and perhaps In Flames as well.”
Tracklisting:
“Adorned In Red”
“In The Shadow Of The Mountain Pt. 1”
“In The Shadow Of The Mountain Pt. 2”
“Murmurs Of Dissent”
“Visions Of Gold”
“Windswept”

“Celestial Noise”

SKALDIC CURSE Featuring AKERCOCKE, FEN Members - 2009's Devourer Album To See Light Of Day In MayFrom the annals of the UK black metal history comes a particularly obscure, overlooked and yet utterly devastating release - Devourer by Skaldic Curse.
Criminally, this album never saw an official release at the time, falling beneath the radar of an audience distracted by banal trends and over-marketed, hollow musical product. Finally, in 2019, a whole decade on, it has been decided it is high time this opus was unleashed to the world in the manner it deserves. Devourer is set to be released in both physical and digital format via Apocalyptic Witchcraft on May 3rd.
Skaldic Curse, which features members of Akercocke & Fen, emerged in the early 2000s in London as part of a wave of new acts seeking to re-establish the UK’s reputation on the international extreme metal stag. The band chose to adopt a singular path from the get-go. Eschewing trends and fashions, the five-piece adopted a resolutely cold, intricate path - searing melody, crushing dissonance, and an almost overwhelming intensity were to become the band’s hallmarks.
A handful of demos preceded the Pathogen debut album in 2005 which set out the band’s stall. A raw production draped suitable levels of filth over material that was both caustic and progressive. The follow-up, World Suicide Machine, honed the approach further, accentuating the band’s technical nature but it was 2009’s Devourer that was to become the band’s masterpiece - intricate, powerful and haunting, it represents a high-watermark for the UK’s black metal output in many ways, deftly blending musical accomplishment with nihilistic fury.
Devourer tracklisting:
"Last Humanoid Howling"
"Devourer"
"End - Earth"
"Bloodstained Asylum"
"Pay - War Approaching"
"Impact Winter"
"Abduction Void"
"Self - Replicating Armageddon Assembler"

HEAVY AS TEXAS Feat. EXHORDER Members: Self-Titled Album Due In AprilAcclaimed guitarist Marzi Montazeri and vocalist Kyle Thomas — otherwise recognized as members of Louisiana-based metal pioneers EXHORDER (named by Spin as one of the "30 Greatest Thrash Bands of All Time") — have announced their aggressive metal project HEAVY AS TEXAS.
HEAVY AS TEXAS plans to release its self-titled album on April 19 via Crunchy Western Records. Pre-orders are available now via iTunes and the band's official web site.
A Mark Borchardt-directed music video for the new HEAVY AS TEXAS track titled "To Keep a Promise" can be seen below.
For the album, HEAVY AS TEXAS tapped renowned drummer Anup Sastry (Marty Friedman, Jeff Loomis, SKYHARBOR) and notable engineer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Collier (KORN, PRONG, WINDS OF PLAGUE) on bass. Currently, the Houston, Texas-based band's lineup is rounded out by full time members Lenwood Sonnier on bass, and James Goetz on drums.
The HEAVY AS TEXAS album was produced by Montazeri, with mix and mastering duties by Collier.
Montazeri says: "I started this project simply because I wanted to perform new music but wasn't able to sing and play complex rhythms at the same time. So I thought, I'll stick to my strengths — the guitar and writing songs! I brought in a vocalist that would fit it perfectly — the one and only Kyle Thomas! As soon as Kyle joined, everything musically fell into place."
After the album drops, HEAVY AS TEXAS plans to begin writing their next effort and to hit the road in support of both. Montazeri adds: "I want to play our music for everyone all over this planet. We have stayed true to our art through complete artistic integrity and we display that live, so it is our duty to get it out to the people and celebrate our own brand of music."
Heavy metal fans may also recognize Montazeri for his contributions to various projects featuring Philip Anselmo throughout the years, as well as his performances with the annual Randy Rhoads Remembered events at NAMM. Vocalist Kyle Thomas is also recognized for his time with TROUBLE and ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY.

02. It's On
03. Death of a Prodigy

GEORDIE - AC/DC Singer Brian Johnson’s Former Band Hits The Road AgainAccording to Chronicle Live, the band once fronted by AC/DC singer Brian Johnson is hitting the road again. Geordie have scheduled a date on June 7th at The Cluny in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
Formed in early 1972, Johnson appeared on the band’s first four albums, prior to replacing the late Bon Scott in 1980: Hope You Like It (1973) (Red Bus)
Don't Be Fooled by the Name (1974), Save the World (1976) and No Good Woman (1978). According to Wikipedia, in 1982, a compilation including only Geordie's 1973–1976 ten songs was issued as Brian Johnson's solo album Strange Man on the MCA label. The U.S. 1989 CD Keep On Rocking, with re-recorded versions of the band's twelve known songs was released under the name of Brian Johnson and Geordie as well as the Australian 1991 compilation CD Rockin' With The Boys 1972–1976.
In 2018, bassist Tom Hill and drummer Brian Gibson decided once again to play these great songs live with a brand new line up comprising Steve Dawson, formerly of Animals II, on guitar and the powerful voice of newcomer Mark Wright taking on vocal duties. Original guitarist and primary songwriter Vic Malcolm is happily still involved on the writing/recording side for all upcoming future products.

RICH DAVIS Unleashes "Beauty In Ruin” VideoExtreme metal crusader and original guitar player for Baltimore-based progressive power metal innovators Mystic Force, Rich Davis is back with his first single and video in 2019, "Beauty In Ruin”. The track will also be featured on a full length album to be released later in 2019 via Crushing Notes Entertainment.
“This is my very first attempt at shooting a storyline in one of my videos,” says Davis. “This was a three-day shoot all in the cold December day Baltimore. It was also my first time shooting a story line using actors! We shot this all in the twilight hours, which gave me just about three hours per day to get a consistent look. I was in the water for over an hour trying to get the shots. I had a dry suit on and I had an air bubble in the suit and it kept me from totally sinking. It was horrible. I was so fucking cold. But I wasn't getting out of that water until I got the shot!”
Late last year Davis released a brand new DVD/CD called Not Dead Yet, via Las Vegas-based Crushing Notes Entertainment. The solo compilation is the ultimate showcase of Davis’ work featuring nine music videos and 14 songs on the CD.
Not Dead Yet features:

DRUIDS Reveal “Mirrors Of Trigon” TrackDes Moines, Iowa-based psychedelic/stoner metal trio Druids recently announced that their new album, Monument, is scheduled for release on April 19th via The Company KC.
Monument will prove to be the band's most confident and explorative effort to date, and to further solidify that claim, Druids have revealed the album's most colossal track, the nearly nine-minute opus "Mirrors of Trigon".
Guitarist/vocalist Luke Rauch tells Revolver comments: "‘Mirrors Of Trigon’ was definitely the most fun song on Monument to write. We kept coming up with riffs and grooves that we wanted to throw into a song, without making it feel like a nine-minute long song. Keeping things moving and having a solid arrangement were the biggest challenges.
“Lyrically, Mirrors is based on a person's experience when their life is at an end. The person has done something unspeakable and realizes they're running out of time for redemption."
Though Monument is an absolute classic metal-inspired riffscapade on its surface, there's much more lying beneath its sonic exterior. Amid the ebb and flow of atmosphere and groove-heavy passages, the album tells a story - inviting the listener on a journey through the afterlife. Each song on Monument depicts the experiences of mystical worlds that the story's protagonist encounters after death, and ultimately grows from. Some lessons are beautiful, and some brutal. Although they have departed from their world, they are still learning and growing as a spirit.
Luke Rauch adds, "There are personal experiences in the lyrics, as even now, I feel the band and myself growing in the way the character does."

“New Breath”
“Iron Healer”
“Mirrors Of Trigon”
“The Whip”

DAVE MUSTAINE On MARTY FRIEDMAN's Tenure In MEGADETH: 'He Stayed Longer Than He Wanted And I Kept Him Longer Than I Should Have'MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine said a dispute over a guitar solo in the song "Breadline" led to lead guitarist Marty Friedman's departure in 1999. "Breadline" appeared on the band's oft-lambasted "Risk" studio album, an effort that saw MEGADETH undergo a heavily criticized change in direction in favor of more commercialized and accessible songwriting, a move which Mustaine previously attributed to the influence of Friedman. The album was a critical and commercial failure and the was the last MEGADETH studio album released by longtime label Capitol Records. Friedman would take part in the initial run of shows in support of "Risk", but was soon replaced by former SAVATAGE guitarist Al Pitrelli.
In a recent interview with Colorado Springs, Colorado radio station KILO 94.3 about MEGADETH's new "Warheads On Foreheads" compilation, Mustaine provided the backstory on "Breadline" and how it ultimately affected Friedman's career in MEGADETH.
"Marty and I were going in different directions," he said. "Of course, we're friends now and I've always loved his playing, but he wanted to do something else. And I should have said, 'Okay, let's stop. I'll get a new guitar player. You go on your way.' But instead, he stayed longer than he wanted and I think I kept him longer than I should have.
"Had 'Risk' maybe not been recorded by Marty and recorded by somebody else, it could have been a different record," he continued. "Probably the definitive straw that broke the camel's back was when Marty had a solo on a song called 'Breadline' and the label and management took it off and put a solo I had on there. And he freaked. That was it… It was sad. I love Marty. I told [the label], I said, 'Look, there's three ways to do this,' because they didn't like his solo on 'Breadline'. I said 'There's three ways to do it: You either mute it, you have him come back, or I do it.' And they said, 'Well, he's not coming back. We're not paying for him to come back. And there needs to be a solo there, so you have to do it.' I said, 'I'll do it, but you have to tell him.'"
He continued: "When we were listening to the final mixes… Everybody flew back out to Nashville. He's sitting there and he's totally excited, ready to listen to his solo on 'Breadline', 'cause he loved that song and he loved the solo he did. It was a really beautiful solo, too, but it wasn't right. And the solo went down, and he heard my solo, and I looked over and he had tears going down his face. And I thought, 'You bastards. You didn't tell him.' And that was it. That was all it took for Marty. He quit. Although he stayed — on the outside, his body was there, but on the inside, his soul was gone."
Last fall, Mustaine said that "Risk" was the result of him "capitulating" to Friedman's "desires to be more of an alternative band." He told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill": "We kept slowing down and slowing down and slowing down. If that record would have been called THE DAVE MUSTAINE PROJECT and not MEGADETH, I think it would have been successful. People wanted a MEGADETH record. They didn't wanna see Dave bending over backwards to keep Marty Friedman happy, 'cause Marty wanted us to sound like fucking DISHWALLA."
In early 2015, Friedman stepped away from a planned reunion of MEGADETH's "Rust In Peace" lineup — also featuring drummer Nick Menza — because he didn't feel inspired to re-team with his one-time bandmates. He later explained: "I think anyone that has something as good as 'Rust In Peace' in their history doesn't want to revisit it unless you are going to top it. I didn't see any reason to mess with that. I didn't see a reunion being what it could be and what the fans deserved. If I were to revisit that, there would have to be a reason for me to do that beyond, 'Let's go back and do it again.' That's not a good enough reason."
"Warheads On Foreheads" was released on March 22. The disc features 35 remastered tracks selected by Mustaine.
Prior to the arrival of "Warheads On Foreheads", MEGADETH reissued two of its iconic records, 2001's "The World Needs A Hero" and 2004's "The System Has Failed", through BMG on February 15. 9

MARILYN MANSON Says His New Album Is 'More Than Half' Completed, Explains SHOOTER JENNINGS CollaborationMarilyn Manson has confirmed that he is working with country rocker Shooter Jennings on his new studio album for a tentative late 2019 release.
During an appearance on yesterday's (Monday, April 8) edition SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill", the shock-rocker said that for the follow-up to 2017's "Heaven Upside Down" is "more than half" completed.
Speaking about how he ended up collaborating with Shooter, Manson said: "I felt like it was a good time for a change. And I became friends with Shooter. And he's a musical genius. Shooter, he kind of reminds me of The Dude from 'The Big Lebowski'… But we have this different vibe where I don't have to really tell him what I'm thinking. I didn't know this, but he was a fan of what I did growing up, also underneath his father, Waylon Jennings. So he adds a completely different element."
According to Marilyn, the "template" for his new album is "a bit of a mixture" between David Bowie's 1974 album "Diamond Dogs" and the influential British band KILLING JOKE.
Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of David Bowie's "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" for Jennings's "Countach (For Giorgio)" LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder. Moroder and Bowie wrote "Cat People" for the 1982 film of the same name, but also reimagined it for Bowie's 1983 album "Let's Dance".
Manson wrote and recorded "Heaven Upside Down" with guitarist and producer Tyler Bates, who also collaborated with the singer on 2015's "The Pale Emperor". It is not presently clear if Bates is involved with the making of Marilyn's new disc.
Manson and Rob Zombie recently confirmed the 2019 leg of their notorious "Twins Of Evil" tour. Produced by Live Nation, the co-headlining North American summer trek, which is subtitled "Hell Never Dies Tour 2019", kicks off in Baltimore, Maryland on July 9 and makes stops at Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wisconisin and Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin. 2

CHOKEHOLD Announce First LP In Almost 25 Years; New Song "2.0" StreamingHamilton, Ontario veteran hardcore act, Chokehold, have announced their return with a new LP due out this spring. The band is releasing a brand new track today aptly named “2.0”, which you can listen to below.
"2.0 is a song about the hardcore community and the use of social media to tear down like-minded individuals within it," says vocalist Chris Logan.
"Hardcore was built on our collective discomfort with society, but it now seems that it's promoting more dissatisfaction among ourselves. In a way, we are losing sight of what this is supposed to be about and how we should be treating each other. Political discussion in hardcore is becoming stagnant over the fear of alienation over the difference of opinion. While the world is falling apart around us, we are happy to cut and paste and copy and share our revolution blindly because we are too busy internalizing, shaming and collecting hardcore toys. No more us versus us, it's us versus them."
With This Thread I Hold On will be released on April 19th, via Good Fight Music. Pre-orders are live now. "2.0" is also available as an iTunes instant grat track. Fans who pre-order the LP on iTunes will receive the song as an instant download.
Logan continues, "We are incredibly fortunate as a band to be still doing this thing after so many years. We are even luckier to be doing it with our longtime friends at Good Fight. We have always wanted this group to be a vessel for us as individuals to vent our ideas and our anger about injustices, politics and life challenges."
"The world seems like it's in its death throes and we are constantly bombarded with those things designed to keep us sedate and in place. It's especially easy in these times to become victims of those traps and to feel overwhelmed and helpless. This record covers a lot of uncomfortable topics but moving forward means talking about them and exposing them. This band and this music is the thread we are holding on by, the thing that gives us a voice to be heard and hopefully allows us to make a change no matter how small."
The history of subcultural music (and the occasional mainstream breakouts) is rich with renegades who intertwined the personal and the political, from the MC5 to Boogie Down Productions, from Rage Against The Machine to The Refused. Cobbling themselves together in Hamilton, Ontario in the early 90s, Chokehold stood out in a scene already filled with outspoken militants and activist rabble-rousers. In their brief run from 1990 to 1996, the band managed a half a dozen EPs and two groundbreaking full-lengths, Prison of Hope (1993) and Content with Dying (1995).
Now, with the world heaving under the weight of increasingly militarized police, seemingly endless wars, openly nationalistic autocrats, mass shootings, religious zealotry, and a new breed of “alt-right,” the climate is ripe for With This Thread I Hold On, eight bold anthems comprising Chokehold’s first new LP in nearly 25 years.
Brimming with the pointed rage and dissonant directness of defining hardcore-punk bands like Born Against and Infest, melded with the heavy introspection of Unbroken, Chokehold has finally captured their own lightning in a bottle. Where each previous record was an improbable and accidentally magical product of circumstance, With This Thread I Hold On boasts new levels of musicianship, crisp production, and dynamics. Chokehold is as heavy as ever, yet ten times catchier.

IRON MAIDEN Sell Out Santiago Stadium Show 6 Months In Advance; New Date In Chile ConfirmedFollowing Iron Maiden’s record-breaking sell-out of Santiago’s 63,000 capacity Estadio Nacional, a feat unparalleled by any other artist so many months in advance, the band has now confirmed a second night in Chile - their first ever show at the Movistar Arena - on Monday October 14, making them the first Anglo artist to play both venues within the same visit.
Tickets go on sale 11 AM on Thursday, April 4 from puntoticket.com, and as always there will be an exclusive pre-sale for fanclub members.
Promoter, Phil Rodriguez Founder & CEO of MOVE Concerts comments: “With every ticket snapped up for the Estadio Nacional show on October 15th and literally thousands of fans still clamouring to see Maiden in Chile, I asked the band if they’d consider doing one final date and they kindly agreed. This situation is unprecedented for us. It’s an amazing achievement anyway to sell out the Stadium – which incidentally Maiden have now done for the fourth successive time - but quite another to sell out almost seven months in advance of the show and to witness the astonishing demand we’ve had from fans for this tour. Having seen the Legacy of The Beast show last year in Europe, I completely understand why fans are frantic to get their hands on a ticket, it is simply jaw-dropping! I’m absolutely delighted we’ve been able to secure the Movistar Arena to ensure that even more fans now have the opportunity to catch the band on their Legacy Tour this year.”
Iron Maiden’s special relationship with Chile started decades ago. They have played more concerts in Santiago than any other rock Artist, all of them sold-out. Their chart-topping DVD and CD En Vivo was recorded and filmed at a sold out Estadio Nactional in 2011, and two years later when they returned for another sell-out show at the same venue, during their Maiden England Tour, the Chilean national newspaper La Tercera pronounced it “the largest audience by a British band, ever”. Things have changed dramatically since the band were first turned away from Chile in 1992 when the Catholic Church declared the band and mascot Eddie a bad influence and barred them from playing in the country. However the turn of the century brought with it a turn of fortune and Maiden has taken every tour since, to their fans in Chile.
The band’s triumphant first leg of the Legacy Of The Beast tour opened in Europe last year to outstanding critical acclaim, not just by the 750,000+ fans who came to see the show but right across national press and rock media.
Steve Harris, bassist and founder member says: “We were thrilled when our promoter asked if we could play another show as the Stadium had sold out. The relationship with our fans in Chile has always been a special one. As everyone knows, we love touring everywhere in Latin America, there’s a tangible bond between us on the stage and the passion coming from the audience so its a privilege to be asked to do another show – especially in an arena which is the closest we will have come to our fans in quite a while – it’s going to be a very special couple of nights that’s for sure! We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this Tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven’t played in many years like 'Flight Of Icarus,' 'Sign Of The Cross' and 'The Clansman' with songs we know the fans want to hear like 'The Trooper,' '2 Minutes To Midnight,' 'The Number Of The Beast,' 'Fear Of The Dark,' 'Run To The Hills,' 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and we are really looking forward to seeing everybody again!”
Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson adds: “We’re excited to return to Chile and unveil the Legacy Of The Beast Tour to all our friends there! We’re immensely proud of this show and we’ve had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe last year. The production is based on our mobile game The Legacy Of The Beast which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different Maiden Worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through unique worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of time into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date. We’ve got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during 'Aces High,' tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvelous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see! And of course we have Eddie, as you’ve never seen him before, and absolutely loads of other surprises. I’ve had the time of my life playing with all these magnificent props on stage, it’s been fantastic, we can’t wait to bring this show to you!”
Maiden’s 2019 North, South and Central America tour comprises 42 shows in six countries, which, combined with their 2018 European dates means that by the end of this tour, the band will have taken the Legacy Of The Beast show to over one and three quarter of a million fans around the globe.
Support on the 2019 tour comes from The Raven Age.
The Legacy Of The Beast Tour production and set list were inspired by Maiden’s free to play mobile game of the same name which is available on iOS and Android platforms at here.
Both Iron Maiden management and their promoter urge the public to only buy tickets from the authorized agency listed above. For further information visit puntoticket.com and ironmaiden.com.

FAUNA Sign To Lupus Lounge / Prophecy ProductionsOriginators of Cascadian black metal, the almighty Fauna have signed a worldwide deal with Lupus Lounge/Prophecy Productions.
“Fauna looks to the sky as we initiate a new collaboration with Prophecy Productions, calling forth new initiatory rites and preparing to revisit past chapters. There is not another label with Prophecy’s reach and stature that so thoroughly respects our objectives and has such a diverse and respectable roster of fellow seekers. We entrust our legacy to them as we move forward into a new era, utterly sacred in its unpredictability.” – Fauna
In 2004, the drive to explore shamanism and atavism (the reemergence of traits thought to be lost from the human biology and culture) birthed itself in the creation of Olympia black metal fury, Fauna. Formed as an antidote to the alienation of the modern human spirit and dedicated to cultivating lost channels of the human condition, Fauna was central to the creation of the sonic revolution now known as Cascadian black metal, impacting legends like Agalloch and directly influencing Wolves In The Throne Room. Their music exists as a collection of experience and ritual, intended to shake free the contemporary mind and bring listeners back to a more primal and free existence. The live rites are truly the main event, manifesting themselves through shamanic practice in atypical venues or highly transformed spaces, with the intent of total immersion in a field of transcendence.
These live rituals evolved into recorded echoes simply out of necessity. Fauna desired to open their work to those who might seek it, and to share their passion for a return to primal spiritual states with people outside of the damp, vast forests of the Pacific Northwest. Rain, released in 2006, strived to share the story of Homo sapiens’ evolutionary journey, and our struggle to survive in the modern world – a theme central to the idea of Fauna. 2007’s The Hunt explores another stage in the human journey, followed by Avifauna in 2012, emerging as the latest album released by the band. Now, in 2019, the group continues its otherworldly journey by signing with Lupus Lounge/Prophecy Productionsand working on their fourth album, Ochre And Ash.
Fauna will be embarking on the Solar Abyss EU tour alongside L’Acephale in April 2019, coinciding with their performance at Roadburn. Preorders are now available for LPs and CDs of Avifauna and The Hunt– the latter never before pressed to vinyl. The albums will be available from Prophecy's webshop on April 12th, and available on May 17th from all other retailers.

OZZY OSBOURNE To Release 'Diary Of A Madman' 3D Vinyl In The FallKnuckleBonz has launched a pre-order for the upcoming Ozzy Osbourne "Diary Of A Madman" 3D vinyl, shipping in the fall. Only 1,981 sets were created.
"Diary Of A Madman" is the second solo studio album by the BLACK SABBATH frontman.
"I still remember how excited I was to get this album so close after he released 'Blizzard Of Oz'; two such metal classics rarely happen that close together," says Tony Simerman, KnuckleBonz CEO/creative director.
"Ozzy's stance on this album makes this a perfect subject to create in a 3D vinyl collectible. His '80s madness is coming right at you. This one really shows the creative potential of this new collectible category, I think."
KnuckleBonz has also created a 1:9 scale Rock Iconz Ozzy Osbourne collectible. This "Blizzard Of Oz"-era statue of Ozzy is a limited edition and offically licensed.
Ozzy Osbourne II Rock Iconz statue is in stock and shipping now.
According to the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA), "Diary Of A Madman" has been certified triple platinum for more three million units sold.
Although the album's sleeve listed bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Tommy Aldridge as Osbourne's bandmates, the songs had, in fact, been recorded back in January and February of 1981 by departed bassist Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake.
On the album's 2002 reissue, the tracks originally played by Daisley and Kerslake were replaced by drummer Mike Bordin (FAITH NO MORE) and bassist Robert Trujillo (now in METALLICA) after Daisley and Kerslake sued Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne over royalties. They were restored for the 30th-anniversary editions. 1

ROB ZOMBIE Completes Work On '3 From Hell' Film; Early Fall Release ExpectedRob Zombie has officially completed work on "3 From Hell", the sequel to his earlier films "House Of 1,000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects".
Zombie confirmed that the movie is a wrap during an appearance on yesterday's (Monday, April 8) edition SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill".
When asked about the delay in the release of his long-completed new solo album, Rob said: "I had to finish the movie. I just literally finished that two days ago. That's done. That was taking my life for the last couple of years."
Pressed for a release date on the film, Rob said: "I don't know for sure. In the early fall — September vicinity."
"3 From Hell", which was shot in California, will reunite Sid Haig, Sheri Moon Zombie and Bill Moseley as the members of the psychopathic, sadistic Firefly family. Moseley told Rue-Morgue last fall that the new film was a "crowd-pleaser," adding, "From what I've heard from Rob, he's very happy and excited about what he's got, and it's chockablock with gratuitous violence."
During an appearance on "Trunk Nation", Zombie said that he didn't envision the original story being fleshed out over three movies when he first started writing it more than 15 years ago. "Every time I would finish a movie… After the second one, I thought, 'We're done with it,' but I always think that with every movie," he admitted. "And then you kind of live with it for a long time, and the movies sort of take on a life of their own, or they start getting popular and the fans really start embracing them and the characters, and you start thinking, 'Well… Hmmm… What if I did this? What if I did that?' This one, it's 14 years in between the two films, so it's been a long time; it wasn't really a rush to make it, by any means."
It's not clear whether Zombie plans to resurrect the Firefly trio from the dead in some kind of supernatural fashion in the new film or has found a way to explain that they survived the original movie's climactic shootout.
"The Devil's Rejects" is widely considered Zombie's best film. It's a semi-sequel to his directorial debut, 2003's "House Of 1,000 Corpses", which introduced the Firefly family.
Zombie's new LP will be out later this year and will follow up 2016's "The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser".

IRON GRIFFIN Streaming Curse Of The Sky Album In FullCurse Of The Sky, the forthcoming full-length debut from proto-metallers Iron Griffin is streaming in its entirety. The album will be released March 22nd on Gates of Hell Records.
Curse of the Sky by Iron Griffin
Already known for his work in Mausoleum Gate, multi-instrumentalist Oskari Räsänen steps out on his own with his Iron Griffin classic metal project. The band's first full-length Curse Of The Sky finds Iron Griffin exploring the vast terrain of proto-metal with an added twist: New vocalist Maija Tiljander.
Enjoying a rare break from his main band, Mausoleum Gate, multi-instrumentalist Oskari Räsänen set a goal for himself: Finish an Iron Griffin album before the end of 2018. As the months started to tick away, he decided to spend all of July locked in a rehearsal room composing and fine-tuning his new compositions. Whereas the rest of his fellow Finnish countrymen were enjoying the long days of sunshine, warm weather and the proverbial trip to the sauna, Räsänen saw nothing but four walls and the various notes he kept while composing all by himself. By the fall of 2018, Räsänen emerged with Iron Griffin's first-ever full-length album, the seven-song Curse Of The Sky, a true classic metal throwback to the time when organic sounds and climatic songwriting reigned supreme.

RESTLESS SPIRITS Streaming New Song "Calling You" Featuring DEEN CASTRONOVOLords Of Black guitarist Tony Hernando is one of the most exciting guitarists, writers, and producers in the European metal and rock scene today. With his many talents, it was a natural next step for him to stretch out and work on a solo album after the promotional cycle for Lords Of Black's third album, Icons Of The New Days, wrapped up.
Hernando has always been passionate about melodic hard rock music, so the idea of pairing him with some of the best singers from his fellow labelmates' bands to lay their vocals over his songwriting seemed not only logical, but destiny. Thus, Restless Spirits was born and the self-titled debut will now be released on May 17th via Frontiers Music Srl.
Pre-order the album here.
Aside from Hilli, guest vocalists include none other than Johnny Gioeli (Hardline, Axel Rudi Pell), Deen Castronovo (Revolution Saints, ex-Journey), Dino Jelusic (Animal Drive), Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline), and Diego Valdez (Dream Child and now, the new vocalist for Hernando's main project, Lords Of Black). The song "Calling You" featuring Castronovo can be heard below. In addition to vocal duties, Deen Castronovo also takes care of drums on every track.
Hernando says, "Restless Spirits is a melodic hard rock record featuring several singers that showcases some different sides of my playing and songwriting. We have rockers, ballads, and everything in between. I had the opportunity to work and co-write with some of the best guys in the business. I hope everyone can enjoy this album as much as I did recording it!”
Restless Spirits is an album that showcases some of the most outstanding vocal talents operating in the melodic hard rock scene right now, while also offering truly exciting and adventurous melodic hard rock songwriting. Enjoy!

DAVID HASSELHOFF To Record 'A Couple Of Heavy Metal Songs' For His Next Studio AlbumDavid Hasselhoff has told the German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur that he is recording "a couple of heavy metal songs" for his next studio album. The 66-year-old "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" star said: "Why not? I do not have an album title yet, but it should read: 'Everything is allowed'. I do everything. Because I can. Because I want to."
Hasselhoff has a successful singing career in Germany and neighboring Austria, where, in 1985, his debut album, "Night Rocker", unexpectedly shot to No. 1 on the local chart. His second and third albums, "Lovin' Feelings" and "Looking For Freedom", eventually topped out at No. 5 on the album chart in West Germany, as well as being immensely popular in East Germany. The single "Looking For Freedom" was a hit, reaching No. 1 on the German chart, and was seen by many Germans on both sides of the Iron Curtain as a makeshift pro-unity song, according to The Post.
Even though Hasselhoff is of German descent — there's a village named Hasselhof outside Frankfurt — it wasn't his ethnic connection that resonated. "I think Germans rather like the American-ness about him," Hanna Pilarczyk, a culture writer for Der Spiegel, told The Hollywood Reporter. "Also, his music is very simple and it's something to clap along to. Germans like to clap along to very straightforward rhythms."
Back in 2014, Hasselhoff was invited to perform at the Austrian hard rock and heavy metal festival Nova Rock, where he appeared after IRON MAIDEN. He told Kurier.at at the time that he was a heavy metal fan. "I like IRON MAIDEN and METALLICA," he said. "That's the kind of music I like to hear."
Last fall, MINISTRY leader Al Jourgensen revealed that he teamed up with DJ Swamp to remix Hasselhoff's cover of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline". "It was the most surreal project I've ever been involved with," Jourgensen told Billboard. "I didn't even have to take acid, and I felt like I was trippin' balls. David Hasselhoff has a new album coming out, some originals and some covers, and for whatever reason — and this is the part that still perplexes me since I haven't met David Hasselhoff yet — he decided I would be the perfect person to mix this. [Laughs] So it's, like, 'I'm game! I'll take the challenge. This could be cool.' And sure enough, man, as soon as I heard it, I felt like I was on some of Timothy Leary's best MDMA I've ever been on." 1

Video Premiere: SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE's 'Can't Hang'"Can't Hang", the new video from SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's debut album of original material, "Space Between", which will be released on May 10 through BMG.
SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE, comprised of Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, will kick off its 23-city North American on April 19 in Reno, Nevada and end it on June 7 in Chicago, Illinois. Rock greats Vince Neil and NIGHT RANGER will join the tour as special guests on select dates of the tour.
Every ticket purchased to the North American tour will include one CD copy of "Space Between". (The Lewiston, New York show at ArtPark is not part of this offer). In addition, a digital copy of "Space Between" will also be delivered to customers who redeem the CD. Ticket purchasers will receive instructions on how to redeem their copy that will be mailed to them on May 10.
Hagar explained: "The 10 songs on the 'Space Between' are not just a bunch of new songs grouped together on an album. They were sewn together conceptually for a complete mental, emotional and physical experience (kind of a Three Lock Box). Once I had the overall vision, the lyrics and music began to just flow through me."
"Space Between" track listing:
01. Devil Came To Philly
02. Full Circle Jam (Chump Change)
03. Can't Hang
04. Wide Open Space
05. Free Man
06. Bottom Line
07. No Worries
08. Trust Fund Baby
09. Affirmation
10. Hey Hey (Without Greed)
With the upcoming release of "Space Between", the band harnesses the depth of its artistic experiences and seminal collaborative sound with Hagar's prolific writing vein to produce an album that builds and explodes, song after song, around the concepts of money, greed, enlightenment and truth.
Formed in 2014, the acclaimed supergroup quickly established itself as one of the most emphatic and exciting live acts on tour today, seamlessly ripping through career-spanning hits from MONTROSE, VAN HALEN, SAMMY HAGAR AND THE WABORITAS and LED ZEPPELIN.
BMG signed a worldwide label deal with SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE for "Space Between", and will also include select Hagar catalog titles.
Lyrically and musically, the collection of songs on "Space Between" build from intimate and introspective eye-openers to heart-pumping anthems. The music draws on the bands' substantial careers independently and collaboratively; presenting a veteran band still at the peak of its game.

ICE AGE Releases 'Instant Justice' VideoCult Swedish metal band ICE AGE has released the official music video for the song "Instant Justice". The track is taken from the group's debut album, "Breaking The Ice", which came out in 2017 via GMR/PHD. The disc, which was laid down at Gothenburg Rock Studios, features re-recorded versions of five classic songs from the original demos plus five brand new songs.
Singer/guitarist Sabrina Kihlstrand says: "We've chosen to do one of the older songs this time, 'Instant Justice'. A real kick-ass moshing tune and a real audience favorite"
She continues: "We wanted to make one last video from this album as a kind of bridge to the next album on which we are working now. After the great reception and all the good reviews, we are all so super-excited and looking forward to the next step and the release of album number two, which is planned for release this coming October. The new songs will be even more awesome, and we are sticking to our semi-thrash sound with cool guitar riffs, and, of course, with strong melodies always close to our hearts."
As one of the more acclaimed thrash bands in Europe during the 1980s, it was nothing short of criminal that the all-female lineup ICE AGE never got to release any material except via their classic demo tapes.
ICE AGE's current lineup consists of original members Sabrina Kihlstrand (rhythm guitar and vocals) and Viktoria Larsson (bass), alongside André Holmqvist (drums) and Linnéa Landstedt (lead guitar).
ICE AGE, from Gothenburg in Sweden, was formed in January 1985 by Kihlstrand and Pia Nyström, who met through an ad in a music store. The band lineup was completed with Sabrina's sister, Helena, and Tina Strömberg behind the drums.
During the band's early stages, they were more power metal-oriented, and this sound fed through their first demo, "Rock Solid", (which was the band's original short-lived name before changing to ICE AGE — something more akin with their origins in the cold winters of Scandinavia).
There then came the first of the band's lineup changes when Helena passed over her bass duties to Larsson at the end of 1986.
Their sound gradually became more raw, which distanced them from the more standard metal riffs of IRON MAIDEN and QUEENSRŸCHE, and more towards the thrash style of early MEGADETH and METALLICA.
ICE AGE played very technical thrash, which can be heard in their demos "General Alert" (1987) and another that was untitled (1988).
The band toured in several countries and played many festivals, including the well-known Open Air in Lamone, Switzerland, in front of five thousand people. They also played the legendary Marquee club in London.
The four Swedes gradually gained more and more popularity, which surged after the recording of their next demo, "Instant Justice", in 1989.
Midway through their next tour came a major problem though: vocalist Sabrina left the band due to irreconcilable problems with the band's then-manager.
Curiously, it wasn't one but two new members that replaced her: the Italian guitarist Isabella Fronzoni and American Debbie Gunn on vocals. This lineup existed only for six months and yet again, problems with the bands then-manager were too difficult to repair.
Finally, ICE AGE split in 1990 after having sold thousands of copies of their demos.
Over the years, the interest from fans worldwide has remained, and although ICE AGE may have long been split, they have not been forgotten.

IMONOLITH - Recording Of Debut Album Nearing Completion: "Everything Is Natural; We Actually Recorded The Drums To 2" Tape"Imonolith, the new metal powerhouse featuring vocalist Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Arkaea), drummer Ryan ‘RVP’ Van Poederooyen (Devin Townsend Project), guitarist Brian Waddell (Devin Townsend Project), bassist Byron Stroud (Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory), and second guitarist Kai Huppunen (Methods Of Mayhem, Noise Therapy) made their entrance with a brand new official single, “Hollow”, available to stream/download.
A video for "Hollow" can be seen below. The single can also be streamed/purchased here.
“Hollow” serves as the perfect introduction to Imonolith, a band whose mission is simple: to write the heaviest riffs, the biggest hooks, and most monstrous grooves. Given the impressive pedigree of each player, they do exactly this and more.
Recorded and produced by Brian Howes and Jay Van Poederooyen (Nickelback, Chris Cornell, Airbourne, Hinder, Daughtry) at Van Howes Studios in Los Angeles, California, “Hollow” is immediately setting the bar high and the best is yet to come.
The band has checked in with the following update:
"The majority of the debut Imonolith album has been recorded! It's sonically sounding incredible and the songs got way more interesting with the producing guidance of Jason Van Poederooyen. There are still some odds and ends we need to do and then we're on to mixing the album!
We would like to thanks Jason Van Poederooyen for taking our sound to another level with his producing and engineering skills. We can't wait to hear this album mixed by him. Everything is natural, so, no DI's on guitars and bass, no auto-tune on vox, and no samples on the drums. We actually recorded the drums to 2" tape, to get the biggest, punchiest sound possible and we think JVP definitely accomplished that!
We would like to thank everyone at the Armoury Studios and at The Beatlab Studio for the amazing recording experiences. Both studios have top notch gear and staff. We couldn't have been more happy with the studios we chose to record in.
Lastly, thanks to all of you who follow us, for your patience and support. We hope the wait will be worth it for you all. Back to recording...."
Imonolith was officially formed in February 2018 by drummer Ryan ‘RVP’ Van Poederooyen and guitarist Brian Waddell, although the pair started writing their own brand of heavy music in 2015 whilst playing together in the Devin Townsend Project. RVP and Waddell then went on to recruit vocalist Jon Howard, bassist Byron Stroud, and second guitarist Kai Huppunen, completing a fearsome line-up. The Canadian quintet has since written a mass of highly diverse material, which appeals to everyone from the metalhead to the radio rock fan, and everyone in between.
Since teasing demos and video clips online, Imonolith have amassed a dedicated legion of supporters worldwide, and with the release of the new single, their following is set to expand by the thousands. With their first run of shows throughout Canada announced and big international plans in the pipeline, 2019 is set to be a huge year for Imonolith.
