THUNDER Release Official Live Video For "Destruction"

THUNDER Release Official Live Video For "Destruction"

British rock legends, Thunder, have shared a new live video for their track "Destruction", recorded as part of their Thunder TV special which streamed earlier this year, which features as part of the upcoming expanded edition of their most recent album All The Right Noises, out on September 24 via BMG.

Filmed at Siyan Studios in High Wycombe, the webcast of this unique performance was streamed for 48 hours on the weekend of the album’s release. The show was comprised of a set list of almost all the tunes from the new album, plus some of their biggest hits, a Zoom Q&A with fan club members, and set changes from plugged in electric to sit down acoustic. The 90 minute set was a runaway hit with Thunder fans all over the globe.

The brand new expanded edition of All The Right Moves will feature a DVD of the Thunder TV Special, which is extended here to include extra songs not broadcast when it was streamed back in March. Recorded in February and originally broadcast as a streamed event, the TV Special was in answer to the postponement of their arena tour from 2021 to 2022. Well known for their energetic live shows, the concept of playing a mock live show with no audience didn't sit well with Thunder, as the fans are always such a huge part of the energy in their shows. The solution was to film a TV style performance, in the mood of the Old Grey Whistle Test or Later… With Jools Holland, with an audience joining them in real time via Zoom. And so the Thunder TV Special was born.

DAVEY SUICIDE, KAT LEON, DK-ZERO Release New Version Of KISS Classic "I Was Made For Loving You"; Audio

DAVEY SUICIDE, KAT LEON, DK-ZERO Release New Version Of KISS Classic "I Was Made For Loving You"; Audio

If there was one moment in music history when it could be said that heavy metal succumbed to the temptation of a national pop music trend, selling its power chord strumming, leather-studded soul to the disco devil, the release of KISS’s dance club-fuelled single “I Was Made For Loving You” is that moment. But the reality is that KISS were merely anticipating cross-genre trends that today are all too familiar.

Take, for instance, the hip hop-inspired, steampunk-powered, electro-engineered industrial metal of DK-Zero, who today unleash their newest single, a mind-blowing, game-changing cover of KISS’s so-called disco song, the aforementioned “I Was Made For Loving You.” Aiding the band are two other modern alternative pioneers, L.A.-based Kat Leon of Holy Wars and heavy rock outfit Davey Suicide, who together with DK-Zero set out to reclaim the brilliant “I Was Made For Loving You” as a vibrant heavy metal song that you can both bang your head and shake your booty to!

DK-Zero founder D-punk, shares the genesis of the project and what it means to him: "I grew up with KISS songs ringing in the halls of my parents’ house after weekend parties. I remember all the images of their iconically painted faces gleaming from the records in my friend’s stereo cabinets. So when I was approached about recreating ‘I Was Made For Loving You,’ I knew it was time to step it up. I knew straight away I wanted to flip the song on its head a bit and take the ‘party vibe’ elements that already existed in a darker edgier direction.

"I reached out to a good friend of mine Davey Suicide. He took a listen to the initial arrangement, and I told him what the vision was for the song… I was very lucky that he jumped on board because he brought a ton of energy to the table; not only in his incredible vocal performance, but in his arrangement and mix critiques. Next...enter Kat Leon of the band Holy Wars. HOLY SH*T (pun intended) was that a lucky/chance/sought-after/hopeful meeting.

"I couldn’t be more proud of the way this song turned out. Honestly, it's a dream come true to work on a KISS song, with Davey and Kat on vocals, for a label like Cleopatra who takes care of their artists and helps push the music industry forward. It was a tough 2020 for everyone involved in music, and Cleopatra really upped their game on so many levels for artists like me."

BLOOD RED THRONE Debut Lyric Video For New Single "6:7"

BLOOD RED THRONE Debut Lyric Video For New Single "6:7"

Norwegian death metal vets, Blood Red Throne, will release their 10th album, Imperial Congregation, on October 8 via Nuclear Blast. Today, the band has released a cataclysmic new single, titled "6:7".

Founding guitarist Daniel Olaisen comments on the song: "'6:7' has one of the most epic solos in BRT history. A super heavy riff and some real kick ass headbanging parts throughout the whole song!"

window._taboola = window._taboola || [];
_taboola.push({
mode: 'alternating-rec-reel-3n4-a',

With over 25 years and 10 albums soon to be under their belt, Blood Red Throne is dedicated to the continual delivery of straight forward, exceptional death metal with Imperial Congregation being no exception.

“This time around we’ve made something new and fresh in our sound. We felt it from the very first song that was written; this will take us to a whole different level in terms of arrangements, riffs, vocals... everything. We are super-excited to share this with our fans, and in cooperation with the greatest label ever,” says Olaisen.

Imperial Congregation delivers quality, old school sound while reflecting in part upon the self righteous nature of humanity and its incessant need to destroy itself through power, ignorance and religion.

“We live outside this system,” explains Olaisen. “We don’t join in on the sheep mentality. Create your own possibilities, be responsible for your own misery or success!”

The haunting, organic album artwork was designed by the infamous Marcelo Vasco. The image displays a flock of old, religious men as they meet in secrecy to design the laws of lower society.

“Many of our lyrics deal with our skepticism of religion, and of mankind in general. Be free or be dead,” says Olaisen. "Two gigantic skeletons tower over the men of worship as they dictate human fate by candlelight."

CARNIFEX Release "Cold Dead Summer" Visualizer; Graveside Confessions Album Out Now

CARNIFEX Release "Cold Dead Summer" Visualizer; Graveside Confessions Album Out Now

Carnifex have returned to ignite sonic memories of albums past with the scorch of old-school sound. The band have released their eighth studio album, Graveside Confessions, via Nuclear Blast Records. Check out a visualizer for the track "Cold Dead Summer" below.

Graveside Confessions is no stranger to the harsh world in which it was created. While all of humanity experiences the turmoil of pain, weakness, and betrayal, it is also deeply ingrained in our nature to keep these notions closely protected; to keep them secret. Often as we approach death, we feel an insatiable need to reveal these things to one another; to confess.

The album arose just in time to aid in celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the debut Carnifex album, Dead In My Arms. The band revisited their first album to re-record three songs, but now with huge advancements in production technology. A return to their roots, these songs act as the completion of a circle; a return to where things first began.

With the engineering of the record completed in-house by drummer Shawn Cameron, the band recorded the album at Back Lounge Studios in San Diego, CA almost entirely themselves with the help of Mick Kenney for the mixing and mastering. This process especially compared to Carnifex albums of the past developed a far more satisfying and concentrated artistic vision for the band. Carnifex enlisted English artist Godmachine, who has worked on the two previous albums, to create the next instalment of visual art for Graveside Confessions.

AURI Feat. NIGHTWISH Members Release "Kiss The Mountain" Single And Lyric Video; New Album Out Now

AURI Feat. NIGHTWISH Members Release "Kiss The Mountain" Single And Lyric Video; New Album Out Now

Embrace the atmospheric auditory imagery of fantastical valleys of other fairytale dimensions and soon gone fireside bards. Dwell for just a moment in treasuries of dreamlands and ponderings that see mundane things turning into otherworldly miracles. Feel welcomed to embark on endless adventures on long roads untrodden and ships never sailed. As if frozen in time, you’ll be captivated by heart-burstingly elating fare-thee-wells for those dearly departed.

Today the album II-Those We Don´t Speak Of is finally released, and treats us along with a third single and visualizer, “Kiss The Mountain”.

The song lives and breathes from the beautiful, multiple-layered vocals. Sparsely but effective underlining instrumentation makes it a true candidate for a movie soundtrack.

Vocalist Johanna Kurkela muses over the song as follows: "There’s a place at the edge of an ocean, where wind speaks through lungs of steel. A mountain awaiting a traveler. A dream awaiting a dreamer. You’ve come this far, do you dare to go all the way? Doubt may come and visit, but it’s just another friend along the journey. A gentle reminder of that perfect Kiss Of Life upon arrival. Imagine you’re already there. Find your smile, light a beacon, and let us hear you Roar!"

Watch the lyric video below:

Hear the soft words that empower those feeling inadequate and reassurance to others fearing death. Auri’s are the keys to a dimension of awe no one else sees. Only theirs to offer are the mystical, soundscapes and ethereal vocals. Theirs to hold are the magical powers that can melt the steeliest of hearts and make grown men cry. Auri invites the listener along for journeys no other band can provide. Come, my love – now it‘s calm enough to go.

MASSACRE Release New Single "Ruins Of R'lyeh"; Visualizer Video Streaming

Floridia's masters of death metal, Massacre, have released the searing new single, "Ruins Of R'lyeh", from their fourth full-length album, Resurgence, out October 22 via Nuclear Blast. Watch the visualizer below.

Commenting on the upcoming album and new single, vocalist Kam Lee states: "I’m going to take you back down into the abyss! This track, 'Ruins Of R’lyeh', like many of the other’s on the Resurgence album are direct sequels to tracks off From Beyond. With a purposeful musical connection to the track 'Cryptic Realms', this new song of O.S.D.M. takes the listener back down into the depths of the darkness with a very heavy laden Lovecraftian lyrical direction loosely based on 'The Call Of Cthulhu.' Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ('In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.')"

"The Innsmouth Strain" visualizer:

Massacre rose from the swamps of Southern Florida in the early 80's during a heatwave of groundbreaking death metal that produced some of the genre's most revered forefathers, Death, Obituary and Six Feet Under. Their legacy was founded with a string of classic demos, Aggressive Tyrant (1986), Chamber of Ages (1986) and The Second Coming (1990), before unleashing their critically praised classic debut album From Beyond (1991).

Now decades later, the band makes their long-awaited return, invigorated with the same youthful rage that brought them together at inception. For Resurgence, long-time members, vocalist Kam Lee and bassist Mike Borders, were joined in the studio by some of death's most prolific and malignant songwriters, guitarist Rogga Johansson, guitarist Jonny Pettersson, guitarist Scott Fairfax and drummer Brynjar Helgetun with additional guest performances by Marc Grewe, Dave Ingram, Anders Odden, and Pete Slate.

The record was recorded with producer and death metal icon Dan Swanö (ex-Edge Of Sanity, ex-Bloodbath) and Pettersson as engineer/mixer.

THE WILDHEARTS Release "Splitter" Video To Celebrate Release Of 21st Century Love Songs Album

The Wildhearts have released their new album, 21st Century Love Songs, via Graphite Records. To celebrate the album release, The Wildhearts unveil a brand new video for "Splitter", which can be found below.

“'Splitter' was the first song that I wrote for the new album. The one where I thought, "Oh fuck, I can hear us playing that, it's gonna be filthy, especially live". I sent the riff to Ritch straight away, as I always do when I get an idea I'm excited about, and he was into it right off the bat. That's the thing with new Wildhearts songs, until there's a big, dirty riff in the bag you can't move on and write the rest of the album. It all starts with a righteous riff and some shouting. And I hope it always begins that way. If you ain't got the riffs then you ain't got shit,” explains Ginger Wildheart.

SPIRITWORLD Signs To Century Media; "Comancheria" Music Video Streaming

SPIRITWORLD Signs To Century Media; "Comancheria" Music Video Streaming

The American frontier: Where lost highways stretch into darkness and undisturbed deserts speak a language as ominous as it is otherworldly. This is the tableau of Spiritworld. Self-described as 'Death Western', Spiritworld is the aural vision of Stu Folsom, a Las Vegas native who has taken the intensity of that desert heat and given it voice on the band’s debut, 'Pagan Rhythms,' for their new label home, Century Media.

To celebrate the new partnership, Spiritworld have released a brand new video for the song "Comancheria", which perfectly underlines the artistic statement of Stu Folsom's music. Check out the video below.

It was that purity of Folsom’s vision that immediately won Spiritworld international acclaim on the limited 2020 self-release of Pagan Rhythms via Safe Inside Records. The likes of Exodus/Slayer guitarist Gary Holt and ex-Sepultura/current Soulfly leader, Max Cavalera raved about the album on social media.

window._taboola = window._taboola || [];
_taboola.push({
mode: 'alternating-rec-reel-3n4-a',
container: 'taboola-mid-article-thumbnails',
placement: 'Mid Article Thumbnails',
target_type: 'mix'
});

Unsurprisingly, Spiritworld was quick to gain the attention of Century Media who got Stu’s vision and swiftly inked the band. Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter says, “Spiritworld is sonic world building in the boldest way. It’s a vision of the American West as somewhere south of heaven, that’s equal parts Slayer, Louis Lamour and Sam Peckinpah – full of dust, dirt and blood.”

Conceived entirely by Folsom and produced by Sam Pura (The Story So Far, Self Defense Family), songs like "Comancheria" or the blast-beat propelled "Unholy Passages", courtesy of drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta/Trash Talk) who plays on half the album, with ex-Apiary skinsman Adam Elliot playing on the other.

“It’s about trying to write killer songs and craft a classic record,” says Stu, whose love for the likes of George Jones or the legendary LA punk band X runs as deep as his metallic roots. “With ‘Pagan Rhythms’, I set out to distill my love of thrash, old school death metal, and hardcore into something new that would hit like a tomahawk right in the face. When I first started telling people about this idea, I had to merge Western imagery, horror fiction and heavy metal into an all-out sonic assault, it seemed ridiculous, but I truly believe that if you make great records people are a lot more willing to embrace your weirdness and come along for the ride."

The debut album, Pagan Rhythms will be re-released on November 5 via Century Media Records and is now available (physically) for the first time outside of North America.

The album is available to stream on your platform of choice and is available in the following formats for pre-order:

BUDDERSIDE Debut New Single And Lyric Video "Voices"

Hollywood-based rock outfit, Budderside, are excited to kick off the holiday weekend with a brand-new track, “Voices”, the first single taken from their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled third album, due in 2022 via OneRPM.

Produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead, Butcher Babies), “Voices” - described by vocalist Patrick Stone (ex-Adler’s Appetite) - “is a farewell to this realm and an invitation to the next.” It was written by the band as a collective unit and sees the group venture into uncharted space with its anthemic hooks and riveting melodies.

Guns and Motörhead, as well as appearing at major worldwide music festivals including Wacken Open Air (Germany), Malmö Festival (Sweden), Motörhead’s Motörboat and Monsters Of Rock cruise.

NIGHTRAGE Release Official Lyric Video For "Swallow Me"

NIGHTRAGE Release Official Lyric Video For "Swallow Me"

In 2021, the Greek / Swedish melodic death metal stars Nightrage return with the final part in their trilogy of albums (The Venomous, Wolf to Man) and now complete with their upcoming album, Abyss Rising. An album that is the band's vision of mankind living in its own hell - a hell it has created through the destruction of the planet.

Inspired in part by Dante's Inferno, the album explores man’s continual destruction of the world we live in until the abyss opens up to consume all before it. The abyss has risen from the depths, and hell has now turned outside in to be able to rise to earth to claim us. The album captures Nightrage in a spectacular form; incisive, brutal, uncompromising, and unforgettable. Musically, the band have embraced a harder, faster, and brutal approach, still rich in melodic intent but characteristically heavy and aggressive.

Mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom at Studio Fredman (Architects, In Flames, Opeth) Abyss Rising is a formidable sonic masterpiece.

Marios and Dino about the new lyric video:

Marios: "Mine and Magnus' guitar musical chemistry is really obvious here once again, blending a lot of different ideas that comes always from jam sessions, and focused on melody and hooks. We love to mix all these elements and add a lot of drama creating an amalgam of hooky riffs, brutal vocals, guitar harmonies and melodies into our songs, and 'Swallow Me' once again is a great example of that! Ronnie talks this time about how our society have lost control and let religion guide us into false beliefs. This song is about religion. How we humans create a false belief in false gods to hide our own evil deeds behind. And religion is like a virus in our minds and in our society that grows bigger and bigger out of our own control."

Dino: "Well, If anyone asked a Nightrage fan to describe the band with one single word, I am sure he would answer 'melody.' The same word describes 'Swallow Me'. Melodies blended with heavy metal riffs and strong death metal elements. It was really fun to record this song, as it's obviously based on groovy parts and old-school heavy riffing. If you notice, my drum-parts have a really strong bonding with the rhythm guitars and bass. That, of course, was made in purpose, as I feel that with more simplicity on the drums, I am giving more space for the melodies to shine, as it was meant to be."

Nightrage was founded by Marios Iliopoulos and his close friend Gus G. in 2000. After putting together demos in 2001 and 2002, they finally released their first full album, Sweet Vengeance', in 2003. It featured drummer Per Möller Jensen (The Haunted), and bassist Brice Leclercq. They also managed to acquire the services of legendary vocalist Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) and Tom S. Englund of Evergrey fame.

Their second release, Descent Into Chaos, followed in 2005 and featured a more permanent rhythm section in the shape of Fotis Benardo (Septic Flesh, ex-Innerwish) and Henric Carlsson. With Gus G.’s role performing with Arch Enemy taking more and more of the talented guitarists time, Nightrage looked to a number of tour replacements to cover for him until Gus made the decision to permanently leave Nightrage and focus completely on Firewind (before landing the coveted guitar spot in Ozzy Osbourne’s band).

Nightrage’s third album, A New Disease Is Born, was released in 2007. Gus G. was replaced by Dragonland/Amaranthe guitarist Olof Mörck. In keeping with the band’s revolving door of members, 2007 also saw Antony Hämäläinen, bassist Anders Hammer, and drummer Johan Nunez (Firewind, Kamelot) join the band in the summer of 2007.

Their fourth album, Wearing A Martyr's Crown, was recorded, produced, and mixed by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman. Several tracks from the album, namely, "A Grim Struggle", "Collision Of Fate", "Shed The Blood", and "Wearing A Martyr's Crown" were made available as downloadable content for the Rock Band video game series on Xbox. In 2011, "A Grim Struggle" was made available for download on the PlayStation 3 console.

2011’s Insidious once again featured Tomas Lindberg and Tom Englund on vocals, along with guest appearances from Gus G, Apollo Papathanasio (Firewind, Spiritual Beggars) and John K. The band supported the new album on a tour of North America, joining Firewind and Arsis, titled Frets Of Fury.

In 2013, Antony Hämäläinen and Johan Nunez officially left the band to pursue other musical ventures. Ronnie Nyman was recruited to replace Hämäläinen on vocals. With Nyman, the band released their sixth studio album, The Puritan, in 2015.

2017 saw the release of album number seven, The Venomous. With yet more changes in the band, Magnus Söderman (guitars) and Lawrence Dinamarca (drums) completing the lineup. 2019’s Wolf To Man featured another shift in personnel with a new rhythm section arriving featuring bassist Francisco Escalona and drummer Dino George Stamoglou, but the core of the band stayed the same.

Now, in 2021, Nightrage is back with their tenth album Abyss Rising - it's incisive, it's brutal, it's uncompromising and unforgettable.

JEFF WALKER Doesn't Think CARCASS Inspired 'The Gothenburg Sound'

JEFF WALKER Doesn't Think CARCASS Inspired 'The Gothenburg Sound'

In a new interview with Australia's "Scars And Guitars" podcast, bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker of British extreme metal pioneers CARCASS spoke about the fact that his band's first two albums, "Reek Of Putrefaction" (1988) and "Symphonies Of Sickness" (1989), have influenced a generation of new bands to combine similarly graphic and consciously provocative lyrics with savage and deeply disturbed melodies.

"That's why it's kind of funny when people [say] they wish we'd go back to that style," Jeff said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). "And I'm thinking there's been 30 years of bands emulating that style. Go listen to them. They did it so much better anyway. What would be the point in us attempting? We couldn't falsify doing that anyway. There's lots of bands doing that stuff, which is great. But it's not our band."

When interviewer Andrew McKaysmith suggested that CARCASS's fourth album, 1993's "Heartwork", was an influence on bands like AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES and DARK TRANQUILLITY, who are part of what is now widely now widely known as "the Gothenburg sound," a subgenre of heavy metal music that combines death metal with the melodious and harmonic elements of the new wave of British heavy metal, Jeff said: "I don't think those bands — and I use this word in a true sense — would ever admit to any CARCASS influence. They were running parallel at the same time. So I don't think that's fair to say that we had influence on those bands… I don't think we inspired them either. I think 'Heartwork' was as much a maligned album as [1996's] 'Swansong', in all honesty, back in its time. I don't remember getting rave reviews. I don't remember it being a very positive time. There was a lot of pushback against 'Heartwork' from our own fans."

CARCASS's seventh studio album, "Torn Arteries", will be released on September 17 via Nuclear Blast Records. The LP title references an old demo created by original drummer Ken Owen back in the 1980s.

In 2019, CARCASS released its first single in over five years, "Under The Scalpel Blade", followed by a four-song EP titled "Despicable" (October 2020).

CARCASS's comeback album, 2013's "Surgical Steel", sold around 8,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 41 on The Billboard 200 chart.

PINK FLOYD - Remixed And Updated Edition Of A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Available In October

PINK FLOYD - Remixed And Updated Edition Of A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Available In October

Sony Music today announced that Pink Floyd’s A Momentary Lapse Of Reason - Remixed & Updated, will be released on October 29.

Remixed and updated from the original 1987 master tapes for ‘The Later Years’ by Andy Jackson with David Gilmour, assisted by Damon Iddins, the album will be available on Vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-ray and digitally with Stereo and 5.1 mixes. In addition, for the first time, the album will be presented in 360 Reality Audio, a new immersive music experience that closely mimics the omni-directional soundscape of live musical performance for the listener using Sony’s object-based 360 Spatial Sound technologies. A Momentary Lapse Of Reason will also be released in Dolby Audio and UHD in addition to 360 Reality Audio, all of which will continue with other Pink Floyd releases.

The release of ‘The Later Years’ project in 2019 gave an opportunity for a fresh overview of the A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album, originally released in 1987. By returning to some of Richard Wright's original keyboard takes, and by re-recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored a better creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.

David Gilmour: “Some years after we had recorded the album, we came to the conclusion that we should update it to make it more timeless, featuring more of the traditional instruments that we liked and that we were more used to playing. This was something we thought it would benefit from. We also looked for and found some previously unused keyboard parts of Rick’s which helped us to come up with a new vibe, a new feeling for the album."

David reflects on originally recording the album: “Bob Ezrin had worked on The Wall with us back in ’79 and on some solo albums with me. I learnt a lot from Bob and he’s a valuable person to have on board. We started working on pieces of music that I had been writing and, come Christmas, we knew it was going well. One day, I felt this ‘thing’ coming on me that became Sorrow. I wrote five verses one evening. They just flowed out from nowhere in one of those great serendipitous moments that you recognize later as having been very valuable…. I knew that we were on a good roll and that this thing was going to work.”

Nick Mason: “Initially it seemed a bit odd to start re-assembling a record after 35 odd years, but the public’s appetite for alternate views of the same work has undoubtedly increased immeasurably over time. Inevitably the opportunity to revisit earlier work from a period where digital technology was the brave new world became increasingly interesting. There’s little doubt of the advantages in being able to find new elements within the music, or more often uncovering elements that became overwhelmed with all that new science…I think there is an element of taking the album back in time and taking the opportunity to create a slightly more open sound - utilising some of the things we had learned from playing so much of the album live over two massive tours. I enjoyed re-recording drum tracks with unlimited studio time. Momentary Lapse had been recorded under considerable stress and time constraints, and indeed some of the final mixing was done at the same time as rehearsals for the forthcoming tour. It was also nice to have an opportunity to enhance some of Rick’s work. Again, that positive tidal wave of technology just might have provided too many digital opportunities to overwhelm the band feel. Hopefully, that’s one of the benefits of this remix!”

The remixed and updated A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album also features a new album cover using an alternative beds photo by Robert Dowling from the original album cover shoot directed by the late Storm Thorgerson. Echoing the iconic original sleeve the 2021 album artwork is designed and art directed by Aubrey Powell/Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon/StormStudios.

Aubrey Powell explained, “I was looking to update the iconic five hundred beds picture my partner in Hipgnosis, Storm Thorgerson, had designed. On looking through the archives I discovered a version where the sea was encroaching on the set, just before Storm shut down the shot worried he would lose all the beds. I also wanted to make something more of the microlight. There were no shots of the plane in close up, so I hunted one down that was similar but white, and had Peter Curzon retouch the fuselage with the right colouring - red - then strip the microlight into the picture in an upfront position. David Gilmour and Nick Mason gave their approval and, voila, a fresh approach to an original favourite."

The album will be available as single CD, CD +DVD set, CD + Blu-Ray set, 2x 180gm LP set, the latter cut at half-speed at 45rpm for enhanced sound quality, with pre-orders here.  A special version of the video "Learning To Fly" is available simultaneously with Sony 360RA immersive audio: if you watch the video on YouTube with headphones you experience simulated 360RA sound.

A Momentary Lapse Of Reason 360 Reality Audio, Dolby Audio and UHD versions will be available via multiple Digital Service Providers on October 19. All physical formats will be available on October 29.

Original WHITESNAKE Bassist NEIL MURRAY Isn't On 'The Same Wavelength' As 'Multi-Millionaire' DAVID COVERDALE

Original WHITESNAKE Bassist NEIL MURRAY Isn't On 'The Same Wavelength' As 'Multi-Millionaire' DAVID COVERDALE

Neil Murray, a founding member of WHITESNAKE who played bass on one of the best-selling hard rock albums of all time, the band's self-titled 1987 effort, was asked in a new interview with Rolling Stone when the last time was that he spoke to WHITESNAKE leader David Coverdale. He responded: "Probably a few months ago. I didn't speak to him for many, many years. I went to see WHITESNAKE a few times when I wasn't in the band. and he'd even say onstage, 'Oh, I hear Neil Murray is in the audience. I hope he's going to come backstage afterwards.' And I wouldn't do that simply because there would be such a difference between their level of success and what I was doing at the time, which would be virtually nothing or something very obscure. I'd just be very uncomfortable.

"But we've had a few conversations," he continued. "We aren't really on the same wavelength anymore, I'd say. He's lived in America since 1985. He's been married to two different American women. The whole success in terms of the post-1987–and-onwards career has been so focused on that style of music. Even though he has great affection and nostalgia for the earlier albums, he doesn't ever try to play that style of rock anymore.

"I don't know. If someone is a multi-millionaire, and I'm the opposite, no matter who they are, whether you know them or worked with them or whatever, there's such a huge gulf between your lifestyles that it's kind of hard to get on the same page.

"I get on fine with him, but it's very much on his terms," Neil added. "If you read interviews with him, you don't really get to the heart of David. It's very much, 'Here's the same quotes and stories I've told everybody else.' I don't know him well enough now to get beyond that. He's had more contact with Bernie [Marsden, original WHITESNAKE guitarist] over the year the years because of the huge success of 'Here I Go Again'. It keeps getting reused for movies and adverts and whatever. They've both done extremely well out of that song.

"The thing is, if that song sells a few more WHITESNAKE albums and I'm going to make a little bit of money from it, that's great. But I haven't been with any bands where I've really had the sort of payday that some of the guys in the band have had. It's partly just timing. I was with [BLACK] SABBATH where nobody was particularly interested.

Murray initially shot to fame in the late 1970s and 1980s with WHITESNAKE, where he contributed to hits such as the aforementioned "Here I Go Again", "Fool For Your Loving" and "Still Of The Night". Since that time, he has worked with a number of highly successful recording artists, including BLACK SABBATH, Gary Moore, Brian May and Michael Schenker, to mention a

HELLDRIFTER Drop New Song "Feed The Fire"

"Feed The Fire" is the first single taken off the upcoming album: Lord Of Damnation from the German death metal unit Helldrifter. The album will be released on October 29th via Blood Blast Distribution. It was recorded in 2020 at the HardDriveSound Studios in their hometown Stuttgart and was mastered by US mastering engineer Joel Grind.

The song is a four-minute death thrasher, making it the perfect opener for their upcoming record. A humorously lyrical take on the cliches of the metal scene with tight riffing and a war-themed lyrical video to unleash the flames on all fronts.

The single is available via Blood Blast Distribution on all digital distribution platforms.

LETZTE INSTANZ released their third single "In deiner Spur"

LETZTE INSTANZ released their third single "In deiner Spur"

Once again the time for intense “Brachialromantik” (= brachial romanticism) is nigh! German-rocking LETZTE INSTANZ will release “Ehrenwort”, their 14th album by now, on September 10, 2021. Even in the 23rd year since the band's founding, the sextet has not tired of putting out – this time they present 13 new songs which are more than a statement: They comprise a vow, a promise - one for life, friendship and a common future! A binding word of honour, an “Ehrenwort”.

“In a time of splintered, drifting opinions and increasingly polarizing divisions to black and white viewpoints, we put a strong emphasis on very important core values such as 'friendship', 'community' and 'cohesion'”, the band states.

LETZTE INSTANZ give a first taste of the upcoming album with the release of the singles “Ehrenwort” and „Entzündet die Feuer“.

Now The released their third single "In deiner Spur".

Apart from these intense tracks, “Ehrenwort” is bursting with hits. After all, the band knows like no other how to make their trademarks shine through catchy song structures: As soon as those rocking guitar riffs ring out, mighty drums ignite and the liaison with romantic violin and cello comes to fruition, the time for said “Brachialromantik” has come!

LETZTE INSTANZ celebrate this approach from the first second of “Ehrenwort” to its last. A return to their origins was already a given for the band even before the recording process started. Holly: "For ‘Ehrenwort’ it was our premise to go back to the roots. At the same time, we wanted to stay true to our credo 'Brachialromantik' - I think we succeeded and did that pretty well.”

Now, after more than two decades of exciting band history, LETZTE INSTANZ is on the verge of the climax of their work. With an album that gives courage and hope in uncertain and troubling times. After all, this is “the most hopeful album the band has ever produced.” They promise this. They give us their “Ehrenwort”.

LETZTE INSTANZ give a first taste of the upcoming album with the release of the first single, the title track “Ehrenwort”.

ARTACH Release "Ice Throne" Lyric Video

ARTACH Release "Ice Throne" Lyric Video

Newfoundland's Artach recently released their new album, Sworn To Avenge, which was unleashed this past June via Depressive Illusions Records. Heavily influenced by nature and the bleak climate they are surrounded by in the cold frozen north, the band is also inspired by sci-fi fiction, one series, in particular, is Stargate SG-1, which inspired their latest lyric video for the chilling “Ice Throne”.

"This one is inspired by the technologies of the ancients left behind in the Arctic and discovered by the Stargate SG-1 team. It's fairly self-descriptive and a fan of the show would recognize some of the ideas." says the band.

Japan's BRIDEAR Release New Single / Video "Brave New World Revisited"; European Tour Dates Confirmed

Japan's BRIDEAR Release New Single / Video "Brave New World Revisited"; European Tour Dates Confirmed

Japanese metal band Bridear have released a brand new track and music video, "Brave New World Revisited". The release of the song celebrates and commemorates the band’s return to international touring in September and October for their Into The Dark Forever UK and European tour, making them the first Japanese band to perform overseas post-pandemic.

"Brave New World Revisited" is an 8-minute-long showcase displaying the metallic sonic assault and stunning technical prowess that the band are capable of. The longest composition in their catalogue, the track is brimming with all the characteristics that made their debut international release Bloody Bride so alluring, marrying sincere lyrics with blazing guitars and insatiable pop hooks to highlight their feelings about returning to the live circuit.

Speaking about the single, bassist Haru shared: “We wanted to make a new song and make the tour a success as the first Japanese band to go on a European tour after the Corona crisis. The composition is the most challenging we have done, and the longest song in our history, but it’s fun to listen to all of the detail and the lyrics convey our feelings during this time.”

Lead vocalist Kimi added: “Entertainment as a whole is being denounced, but the theme of this song is to raise our voices as one and re-enter a brave new world. We will continue to go forward! Please come to see us and support us as we come back overseas and revisit this brave new world!”

Kick-starting at the end of September, the Into The Dark Forever tour sees the band travel across Europe before heading to the UK for four dates, with the band making their live debuts in Sweden and Scotland. The UK shows, which include a stop at much-loved London metal haven Underworld, will be their first since 2019’s Metal Matsuri Festival where they earned critical acclaim for their stunning performance.

The tour will also serve as the band’s first overseas opportunity to perform material from their debut international album Bloody Bride, out now via Setsuzoku Records. Brimming with big riffs and even bigger hooks all tastefully laced with both classic and modern metal characteristics, Bloody Bride is the perfect introduction to the quintet and what they’re capable of.

From furious thrash passages, blistering lead lines and irresistible pop sensibilities, the 45 minutes of music encased within displays their talent, their creative vision and their individuality among their peers, showcasing J-metal like you’ve never heard it before. The album features the brilliant singles "Daybreak" and the haunting title track, two ferocious examples of the band’s musicianship and songwriting proficiency. Listen to Bloody Bride via Spotify here.

GENE SIMMONS Says He Is 'Really Fine' After Testing Positive For COVID-19, Urges Everyone To Get Vaccinated

GENE SIMMONS Says He Is 'Really Fine' After Testing Positive For COVID-19, Urges Everyone To Get Vaccinated

Gene Simmons says that he is "really fine," two days after it was announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

The KISS bassist/vocalist credited his vaccination for keeping his infection "minimal" and encouraged others to consider getting the COVID-19 shot.

"Thanks to the vaccine, I'm really fine," Gene tweeted. He also responded to a person who seemingly mocked him for catching COVID even though he was inoculated. "Vaccine protects you about 95%. However, you can still get Delta Covid variant," Simmons wrote. "I did…But the effects are minimal, if you've been vaccinated twice. Without vaccine = hospital, pain and maybe death. Do your research. You'll come off much brighter."

KISS announced on Tuesday that its next four tour dates would be pushed back after Simmons tested positive for the virus and was experiencing "mild" symptoms. Just days earlier, Simmons's bandmate Paul Stanley also tested positive for COVID-19.

"While Paul Stanley recently tweeted that he has recovered from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms," the band said in a statement. "The band and crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA."

The postponed shows were set to take place on September 1 in Clarkston, Michigan; September 2 in Dayton, Ohio; September 4 in Tinley Park, Illinois; and September 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The legendary rockers were previously forced to reschedule their August 26 show in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, August 28 concert in Raleigh, North Carolina and August 29 gig in Atlanta, Georgia after Stanley tested positive.

Stanley reassured fans that he was "fine" and had not been hospitalized, but said he was suffering "flu-like symptoms" before finally testing positive.

On Monday, he wrote on Twitter: "My COVID symptoms were MILD compared to many others and let me tell you… It kicked my ass. It's over now."

When Stanley first tested positive last Thursday, KISS said the whole band and the crew members who are traveling with them on the tour are fully vaccinated.

Members of KISS "and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows," the band wrote in the statement.

"The tour also has a COVID safety protocol officer on staff full-time that is ensuring everyone is closely following all CDC guidelines," the statement continued.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Simmons urged fans to get vaccinated against COVID-19, saying: "I would highly recommend for everybody to get two Pfizer or Moderna shots, please — for the rest of us. Even if you believe the Earth is flat, it's not."

KISS kicked off the summer 2021 leg of its "End Of The Road" farewell tour on August 18 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The concert marked the band's first full-length live appearance in front of an audience since March 2020.

KISS's farewell trek was launched in January 2019 and was originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021 in New York City but is now expected to last well into 2022.

KISS's current lineup consists of original members Stanley and Simmons, alongside later band additions, guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).

Formed in 1973 by Stanley, Simmons, Peter Criss (drums) and Ace Frehley (guitar), KISS staged its first "farewell" tour in 2000, the last to feature the group's original lineup.

Finland's FEAROUT To Release Debut Album In November; "The End Of The Beginning" Video Streaming

Finland's FEAROUT To Release Debut Album In November; "The End Of The Beginning" Video Streaming

Helsinki-based metal band Fearout is set to release their debut album, Bleedthrough, on November 5th, 2021 via Inverse Records. The band have released their first single, "The End Of The Beginning" along with a music video. Check it out below.

Guitarist Arg Kinnunen: "The main riff was composed some 20 years ago, and we tried it with another band but we never got it working. Ten years later it was offered to another band and it didn't work either. Finally, when I offered this to Justus we got things rolling. So, aging this song some 20 years in oak cask wasn't that bad idea after all."

Vocalist Justus Latvala: "'The End Of The Beginning' was one of the first Fearout songs that we ever played together. Arg set the standard high right from the get-go. It contains a bit twisted main riff, some stoner grind and pretty melodies. Just what the doctor ordered."

The song has stolen its title from Churchill, and its theme is basically about the rise and fall and how to cope with it. Or not. Many people wish to be famous or some sort of stars and are absolutely willing to do anything to achieve their goal. After that 15 minutes of fame is gone the only way is down and you still should be able to live with the things you did when you tried to get to the top.

Fearout are a four-piece Finnish hard rock / metal / punk / stoner band from Helsinki. The band was founded in 2014 by Arg Kinnunen (guitar) and Justus Latvala (vocals). Current line-up was stabilized when Topi Lajunen (drums) joined band in 2016 and Minttu Minkkinen (bass) in 2018. Fearout fuses filthy stoner guitars and noisy punk rock aggression with seductive melodies and provide energetic, volatile and sometimes literally bone crushing live performances. The band recorded their debut album Bleedthrough 2020-2021 and the album will be released in autumn 2021 by Inverse Records.

VAN HALEN: 'The Eruption And The Aftershock' Book Due In October

VAN HALEN: 'The Eruption And The Aftershock' Book Due In October

Backbeat Books has announced the October 1, 2021 release of "Van Halen: The Eruption And The Aftershock" by Michael Christopher. The book is available now for pre-order in multiple formats.

This is the epic story of how one of America's greatest bands weathered arguably the most dramatic soap opera in rock and roll history with songs that would weave themselves into the fabric of every musician who heard them, alongside an incendiary and unrivaled live show that wowed audiences worldwide.

Featuring exclusive interviews with insiders, fans and artists who were there to witness the rise, the tumult and the making of legends, it's a story that has to be read to be believed. The book includes input from members of BLACK SABBATH, ALICE IN CHAINS, VELVET REVOLVER, PANTERA, RATT, STRYPER and many, many more, alongside never-before-seen photos and previously unpublished interviews with VAN HALEN alums Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Gary Cherone.

Come the late '70s, the rock music landscape was littered with the bloated carcasses of bands who partied too hard, burned out or became complacent in success. The door was open for something fresh, wild and enrapturing.

Enter VAN HALEN.

Made up of two Dutch-born brothers, one on drums and the other whose guitar was an extension of his very being, a bass player with a golden throat, and a frontman who made up for his lack of traditional singing ability with attitude and gravity-defying acrobatics onstage, they were unlike anything ever seen before.

Alex and Edward Van Halen, Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth put a cap on one decade and exploded into the next with a brand of music not quite punk, not quite metal, and not at all subtle.

They went from headlining backyard keggers to top billing at the US Festival in front of three hundred thousand people within five years. Then, right when it looked like there wasn't an obstacle created to slow the mighty VAN HALEN ascent, the group imploded from the inside out, only to rebound stronger than ever with ex-MONTROSE howler Sammy Hagar leading them to four consecutive Number One albums.

"This book has been a passion project from the beginning, and you'll be hard pressed to find another writer who has covered VAN HALEN so comprehensively over the years and with such reverence,” says Christopher. "But after the passing of Eddie Van Halen, the news cycle eventually moved on. As it says in the introduction, I wasn't ready to, and felt like there was still much to say, not just from myself, but the fans, musicians, and so, so many more who have been affected by VAN HALEN."

Exhaustively researched, "Van Halen: The Eruption And The Aftershock" examines:

* The arrest of David Lee Roth on the "Van Halen II" tour

* Oakland 1981 and what footage actually exists from the fabled shows

* How close Roth cut making it to the US Festival after falling ill in the Amazon jungle

* What role VAN HALEN played in the 1985 PMRC hearings

* The strangely ignored first public appearance of "VAN HAGAR"

* Why the 2007 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction fell apart

Early Praise for "Van Halen: The Eruption And The Aftershock"

Stephen Pearcy (RATT): "Amazing book. Only a few people will get VAN HALEN's insides."

Philip H. Anselmo (PANTERA, DOWN): "It's an explosive legacy. It's cemented. They kicked every ass that was in front of them."

Heidi Ellen Robinson-Fitzgerald (HERFitz PR): "I was part of VAN HALEN's PR team at Warner Bros. in the late '70s. I cried and I laughed out loud more than a few times while reading this book, recognizing occurrences I hadn't thought about in decades. The VAN HALEN I knew is on these pages, and Michael has painted a brilliant portrait of them."

Tony Iommi (BLACK SABBATH): "There's only one VAN HALEN, and they were really, really good."

William DuVall (ALICE IN CHAINS): "It was just such a steamroller, and those guys were doing that night after night no matter what condition they were in."

Christopher is a journalist and music historian. He is the author of "Depeche Mode FAQ: All That's Left to Know About the World's Finest Synth-Pop Band". A senior writer for the online music magazine Vanyaland, where he was a founding member and later managing editor, he contributes frequently to Ultimate Classic Rock, Loudwire and appears regularly on television, radio, and podcasts as an expert on a variety of music-related topics. He also has a syndicated music and lifestyle column for a series of newspapers in the Philadelphia metro region and beyond under the MediaNews Group banner. His work has appeared in the Boston Phoenix, Boston Magazine, LA Weekly, PopMatters, Rockpile, Ronda, Screen Rant and Diffuser. Michael lives in Boston, building a respectable vinyl collection.

HOUSTON Streaming New Single "Storyteller"

HOUSTON Streaming New Single "Storyteller"

Swedish AOR band, Houston, recently announced that their new studio album, IV, will be released on October 8. IV was produced under the direction of former member and AOR guru Ricky Delin, who also co-wrote with the band.

Listen to the new single "Storyteller" below, and pre-order/save IV here.

“It felt good to have Ricky back behind the wheel on this album. He is an incredible songwriter and we all know the great work he’s done on our previous albums. This is the Houston album above all others,” says singer Hank Erix. “We’re truly excited about the new music on Houston IV. We knew right from the start that we wanted to go back to our roots and make a classic AOR sounding album again. After all, this was the sound that put us on the map in the first place and what we do best. Sonically, this album is the more refined sibling to our first two albums. We’ve had a decade to grow as songwriters, musicians, and most importantly as a band and I think this really shows,” adds Carl Hammar, the band’s guitarist.

"This album and the songs are one big homage to our favourite AOR heroes such as Survivor, Foreigner and Journey, but also influences from John O´Banion, Meatloaf, John Farnham, and many more. We wanted to make a great AOR album and make it big, fresh, and truly bombastic. And if you want to make a bombastic AOR album, Ricky Delin is the go to producer. Ricky, who played a big part in creating the Houston sound on our first albums, was as excited as us about the idea of working together again and jumped at the opportunity,” continues Carl.

MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen Discusses "Search And Destroy" Track In New Album Video Trailer

MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen Discusses "Search And Destroy" Track In New Album Video Trailer

Ministry have released a new video for trailer for their upcoming album, Moral Hygiene, due to be released October 1 via Nuclear Blast Records. In the clip, Al Jourgensen discusses the inspiration behind the track "Search And Destroy", and his experience working on set for the music video with guitarist Billy Morrison and direction Dean Karr.

After incubating for the larger part of 2020 - at time when creative mastermind Al Jourgensen was able to ruminate on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in - the time has finally come for Ministry to unleash their 15th studio album.

window._taboola = window._taboola || [];

Aptly titled Moral Hygiene, the album will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 1. With some of Ministry’s strongest and most inspired material to date, the 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded AmeriKKKant and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.

"The good thing about literally taking a year off from any social activity or touring is that you really get to sit back and get an overview of things as they are happening, as opposed to being caught up in the moment. And what I saw with how we handled several public crises - from the pandemic to racial injustice to who we vote in to lead our country - is that times are changing, and society needed to change to get away from the idea that has permeated us of take care of yourself, fuck everything else. Now more than ever we need moral hygiene,” says Jourgensen of the new album. “It consumed me as I wrote this album. It’s not some pious term. It’s what we have to return to in order to function as the human species on this planet. And I'm proud to have had such great guests on this album to help cement that message like Billy Morrison, Jello Biafra and Arabian Prince.”

In conjunction with today’s album announcement, the latest track “Good Trouble” is also released. The song, inspired by the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and the activist work of the late Congressman John Lewis, is accompanied by a new video that includes sampling from last year’s demonstrations in Los Angeles as captured by Jourgensen and his partner Liz Walton. Watch a lyric video below.

Jourgensen adds about the new single, "I was watching the coverage last July around Lewis’ death and was in awe the next day when this entire letter from him was published in the New York Times. How suss was that to want to keep making progress after his death by thinking about the legacy he left? I was struck by the reflectiveness of his speech, knowing he was dying and making sure it was released because he saw trouble ahead. That is the moral hygiene of this album - we have to do something to change and I really hope we continue to act and live up to the idea of getting into good trouble for the benefit of society."

Moral Hygiene also includes the previously released “Alert Level” that sounded the alarms about our collective dissonance towards the pandemic, climate change and the man formerly in the White House, bolstered by the song’s overarching question posed to listeners: “How concerned are you?”

The new album also adds perspective to the countless lives that were tragically lost to the COVID-19 pandemic on the haunting track “Death Toll” while “Disinformation” decries the too frequent willingness to accept everything - even mistruths - as fact.

Other musical jewels on the upcoming release include a collaboration with Jello Biafra (Jourgensen’s cohort in side project LARD) on “Sabotage Is Sex” and a unique take on The Stooges’ “Search And Destroy” that features guitar virtuoso Billy Morrison (Billy Idol/Royal Machines). Morrison is also heavily featured on a number of songs on the album.

Moral Hygiene was recorded with engineer Michael Rozon (also behind the boards on AmeriKKKant) at Scheisse Dog Studio, Jourgensen’s self-built home studio and creative lab. As with all Ministry albums, all songs are written and performed by Al Jourgensen. Additional contributions come from Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines), Cesar Soto (Man The Mute), John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Fear Factory), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour, Soulfly, Nausea), Paul D’Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin), Arabian Prince (N.W.A.), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and sitar player Flash.

Moral Hygiene will be available on CD, vinyl and digital download formats. Pre-orders are available at the follow links:

Ministry will be debuting the new songs live - as well as celebrating the 30th anniversary of seminal album The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste - on the upcoming Industrial Strength Tour, kicking off on October 3 for 23 dates across the country. The trek will include special guests Helmet and Front Line Assembly.

In addition to Al Jourgensen (vocals, guitar), the touring band will include Roy Mayorga (drums), Paul D’Amour (bass), Cesar Soto (guitars), Monte Pittman (guitars) and John Bechdel (keyboards).

HALESTORM Performs New Single 'Back From The Dead' Live For First Time (Video)

HALESTORM Performs New Single 'Back From The Dead' Live For First Time (Video)

HALESTORM played its new single, "Back From The Dead", live for the first time this past Tuesday (August 31) at the 2021 Great New York State Fair as part of the Chevrolet Music Festival in Syracuse. New York. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

HALESTORM is playing a series of headline dates and a set at Rocklahoma prior to a co-headline run with EVANESCENCE beginning November 5 in Portland, Oregon, running through December 18 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

"Back From The Dead" is taken from HALESTORM's upcoming fifth full-length album, due in 2022. The video for "Back From The Dead", directed by Dustin Haney (Noah Cyrus, Luke Combs) and produced by Revolution Pictures, the features frontwoman Lzzy Hale and the rest of the band in a morgue and cemetery somewhere between life and death.

"This song is personal and written from a mental health perspective," Hale said in a statement. "I wanted to give myself and the world a hard rock song we could shout out loud as the gates opened again. I was on the edge of this world getting completely lost in oblivion, but even though it was the harder of two choices, I didn't just let the darkness and depression in my mind dig me an early grave. I didn't just sit and let it take me…. I hope this song, as I pass it on to you, reminds YOU of your strength individually and that you are not alone."

HALESTORM's new music is once again being produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who first helmed the band's 2017 effort "ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP" and was previously described by Hale as the group's "fifth member."

HALESTORM's latest EP release was last year's "Halestorm Reimagined", a collection of the band's reworked original songs as well as a cover of "I Will Always Love You", the love ballad made famous by Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton.

Lzzy and her brother Arejay formed the band in 1998 while in middle school. Hottinger joined the group in 2003, followed by bassist Josh Smith in 2004.

In December 2018, HALESTORM was nominated for a "Best Rock Performance" Grammy Award for its song "Uncomfortable". Six years earlier, the band won its first Grammy in the category of "Best Hard Rock/ Metal Performance" for "Love Bites (So Do I)".
