TALLAH Release “No One Should Read This” VideoTallah will released their new album, Matriphagy, on October 2 via Earache Records. Order the album here, and watch a video for the song "No One Should Read This" below.
An original dose of fucked up and disturbing alt-metal insanity! Exhilaratinghly fresh whilst incorporating nostalgic 90s nu-metal vibes - vocalist Justin Bonitz is a man possessed, wildly careering form blood curdling shrieks to lightning quick rap bars. Throw in electronic elements and almighty riffs plus modern hardcore breakdowns and Tallah are 2020's answer to Slipknot.
Notorious for their wild, unhinged and downright dangerous live shows, Tallah have cultivated a fierce live reputation on the underground circuit with multiple US tours and a European festival trip last summer, including their UK debut at Boomtown Fair opening for Napalm Death and Prophets Of Rage.
Matriphagy is a concept album about how an overprotective mother pushes her son to the edge of insanity through psychological and physical abuse. Having spent two decades trapping inside a glorified prison, and after some failed rescue/escape attempts, the son, in a state of heavy delirium, does the unforgivable to free himself from his mother's wicked hold. A disturbingly graphic tale that is to be taken both literally and metaphorically, Matriphagy is set to a pleasurably harrowing backdrown of brutally heavy musicianship, an unapologetic love-letter to chaos, and the sickening twist of the macabre.
Max Portnoy offers the following insight into the musical direction of the band’s latest single: "'The Silo' is the lightest track on the album, and the first time we've experimented with using more dynamics in our music. This song is a good example of showcasing what else we can do with our sound aside from the raw heaviness displayed in all our other tracks."

CONVULSE Streaming New Track “Whirlwind”Deathstar is the new full-length from Finnish progressive death metal veterans Convulse. A near forty-one-minute masterwork, Deathstar delivers nine tracks that transcend the boundaries of standard death metal. Fusing the prime tenets of death metal, heavy rock, and prog into something innovative and enticing, the record arguably picks up where the band's underrated 1994 Reflections full-length left off adopting a similar genre-bending approach and modernizing it.
In advance of the record's official release October 30 via Transcending Records, the band has unveiled new single, "Whirlwind."
Notes guitarist/vocalist Rami Jämsä, "'Whirlwind' was among the very first tracks we started to compose for Deathstar. The rhythm of the song is a waltz and the main riff and B part came very naturally when we jammed together at our rehearsal studio. We had some difficulties adjusting the chorus and B part together, so we tried different approaches and various ways to find the final version. It was worth of it, because 'Whirlwind' is one of our favorite songs on the album. Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits was the reference guitar sound on the middle part of the song and some can hear echoes from Kingston Wall too.
“Lyrically, 'Whirlwind' is a desperate story about holy wars and nationalism. We have tried to learn to live together thousands of years and we have not learned anything. 'Whirlwind' is a metaphor for the cycle of evilness that we are keeping up from generation to generation. 'Mothers milking their empty breasts, future bleeding in desert. Fathers died before they saw their seeds of life. Whirlwind, the Holy land of death. Whirlwind and moon goes around.'"
Deathstar will be released on CD, limited-edition deluxe CD, digital, cassette, and vinyl formats. For physical pre-orders, visit this location. For digital orders, go here.

JUDAS PRIEST – Super7 ROB HALFORD ReAction Figure AnnouncedTo celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic band Judas Priest - Super7 is honored to bring Heavy Metal God Rob Halford to the ReAction Figure World.
The Rob Halford 3.75" ReAction Figure comes with microphone and whip accessories.
Confess: The Autobiography is available via Hachette Books. A description of the book follows...
Most priests take confessions. This one is giving his.
Rob Halford, front man of global iconic metal band Judas Priest, is a true 'Metal God'. Raised in Britain's hard-working heavy industrial heartland he and his music were forged in the Black Country. Confess, his full autobiography, is an unforgettable rock 'n' roll story - a journey from a Walsall council estate to musical fame via alcoholism, addiction, police cells, ill-starred sexual trysts and bleak personal tragedy, through to rehab, coming out, redemption... and finding love.
Now, he is telling his gospel truth.
Told with Halford's trademark self-deprecating, deadpan Black Country humour, Confess is the story of an extraordinary five decades in the music industry. It is also the tale of unlikely encounters with everybody from Superman to Andy Warhol, Madonna, Jack Nicholson and the Queen. More than anything else, it's a celebration of the fire and power of heavy metal.
Rob Halford has decided to Confess. Because it's good for the soul.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's TOMMY LEE Says He Will Leave U.S. If DONALD TRUMP Is Re-Elected: 'I'll Go Back To My Motherland'MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee, who has repeatedly voiced his displeasure with U.S. President Donald Trump, was asked in a new interview with the U.K.'s The Big Issue what he will do if the billionaire real estate mogul gets re-elected. He responded: "Dude, I swear to god, if that happens, then I'm coming over to visit the U.K. I'm out of here. I'll go back to my motherland, go back to go Greece and get a house on one of the islands.
"The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we're embarrassing," he explained. "I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: 'What the fuck are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country.'"
Tommy frequently uses Twitter to lambaste Trump. In August 2019, Lee implored the president to "wake the fuck up" after he blamed the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings on video games and mental illness.
In December 2018, Tommy referred to the 45th U.S. president as an "asshole" and labeled his supporters "dumbasses." A year earlier, he called the president "a fucking idiot" and said the people who voted for him are "dickheads."
After Trump was elected president in November 2016, Lee expressed his disbelief on Twitter, writing: "What the actual fuck is happening?"
In November 2018, Tommy slammed Trump for blaming California's wildfires on poor forest management. "Can you be anymore insensitive you fucking moron" Lee tweeted. 8

Former JOURNEY Singer STEVE PERRY Says He Has Not Given Permission To Any Political Candidate To Use 'Don't Stop Believin''Former JOURNEY singer Steve Perry says that he is against having the band's music used in political campaigns.
Perry took to his Twitter Friday night (July 3) to write: "As one of the songwriters of Don't Stop Believin', I have not given permission to any political candidate to use this song!"
Perry didn't indicate what prompted his tweet, but his objection came after "Don't Stop Believin'" was heard during the White House's Mount Rushmore event celebrating Independence Day. The song was played over the public address system while President Donald Trump was flying to the site on Marine One, the official presidential helicopter (see video below).
Several hours later, JOURNEY guitarist Neal Schon, who co-wrote the 1981 hit with Perry and keyboardist Jonathan Cain, responded to Perry's tweet, writing: "Huh .., funny when I tried to stop it before a couple of years ago management told me you and [Perry's longtime attorney] Lee Phillips didn't want to mess with it... @NealSchonMusic so what makes it different now ?"
In the past, Schon has publicly voiced his opposition to having JOURNEY's music associated with political or religious causes. Back in 2017, he derided Cain on social media after the keyboardist, singer Arnel Pineda and bassist Ross Valory were photographed with Trump in the White House. Cain's wife, Paula White-Cain, is the president's self-styled spiritual adviser.
"I've stated how I felt about mixing religion and politics and how our music is not of one religion - Democratic or Republican," Schon wrote. "This is and has been an issue with myself Mr. Cain and his now wife, since he married. I've had to fight this whole time to protect the brand I built with Steve Perry, way before Gregg [Rolie] and I picked Cain to replace himself when he wanted to retire from the road back then. Well frankly, I'm tired of having to defend all by my self. Ross is no help."
Back in 2011, conservative politician Newt Gingrich used "Don't Stop Believin'" at a campaign event. Perry's legal reps sent a cease-and-desist letter. "They just think music is free like a lot of other people on the planet," Phillips told Variety.
In a 2009 interview with CBC's "Q" cultural affairs show, Perry said he always thought "Don't Stop Believing" — which is the top-selling digital download of a track not originally released in this century, according to Nielsen SoundScan — had potential as a single. It was always a hit with live audiences, though it didn't get great radio play at the time it was issued, he said.
"When we were doing the song in 1981, I knew something was happening, but honestly, when I saw it in the film 'Monster' with Patty Jenkins, I started think, 'Oh my goodness there's really something.'"
He added: "The lyric is a strong lyric about not giving up, but it's also about being young, it's also about hanging out, not giving up and looking for that emotion hiding somewhere in the dark that we're all looking for. It's about having hope and not quitting when things get tough, because I'm telling you things get tough for everybody."
Pineda, who has been fronting JOURNEY for 13 years, told CBS News in 2012, "Even before I discovered 'Don't Stop Believin'', it has been my motto — you know, to never stop believing in myself. The life that I've gone through, all those hardships, I never stopped believing that someday there is something magical that will happen in my life."
This past April, "Don't Stop Believin'" became a rallying call for patients recovering from COVID-19 at two hospitals in New York and Michigan. The song was played at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and the New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital during celebrations for patients prevailing over the coronavirus.
As one of the songwriters of Don’t Stop Believin’, I have not given permission to any political candidate to use this song!

Watch MARTY FRIEDMAN Shred On FENDER's 'Made In Japan Modern Series' GuitarFender's Japanese division has uploaded a video of former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman playing one of the instruments in the guitar manufacturer's "Made In Japan Modern Series". The range is comprised of seven new models based on classic Jazz Bass, Jazzmaster, Stratocaster and Telecaster shapes.
As previously reported, Marty's long-awaited documentary, titled "Spacefox", will tentatively arrive in 2021. The film, which is being directed by Jeremy Frindel, the founder of Substratum Films, follows Friedman's reinvention from lead guitarist in MEGADETH to one of the most famous TV comedians in Japan.
Earlier in the month, Friedman released a "Home Jams" version of his song "Self Pollution", which originally appeared on the 2017 album "Wall Of Sound". The new rendition of the song features Friedman, along with his longtime bandmates Kiyoshi (bass) and Jordan Ziff (guitar), plus Anup Sastry (drums). The split-screen video was filmed in Tokyo, Osaka, Phoenix and Baltimore, with each musician separated in his or her home.
"Wall Of Sound" was released in August 2017 via Prosthetic Records. Produced by Friedman, engineered by Paul Fig (GHOST, RUSH, ALICE IN CHAINS) and mixed by Jens Bogren (KREATOR, OPETH, SEPULTURA), the disc "expands and destroys any conventional notions of instrumental music," according to a press release. Legendary QUEEN producer Mack came on board to handle the mixing on two tracks, "Streetlight" and "For A Friend", which Friedman proclaimed was "an honor for me, for sure." 1

BLACK SABBATH's TONY IOMMI Teams Up With PINK FLOYD's NICK MASON For Cancer Charity AlbumBLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has told Spain's La Heavy magazine that he recently collaborated with PINK FLOYD co-founder and drummer Nick Mason.
"A few weeks ago, Nick and I recorded a song for a charity album that will raise funds to fight cancer," Tony said. "They asked me to go and provide some riffs for it. Of course, I gladly agreed."
Iommi went on to say that other rock royalty is involved with the project, including possibly THE ROLLING STONES guitarist Ronnie Wood.
Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma in early 2012, shortly after SABBATH announced a reunion tour and album. He underwent treatment throughout the recording of the disc, titled "13", and the subsequent tour to promote it.
Iommi said in 2016 interview that "the lowest moment" for him was being diagnosed. He explained: "You automatically wind yourself up saying, 'That's it then,' but that is not always the case. When they tell you, you think, 'Oh God.' That was a low time. I have had a few low times in my life like everybody has, but that was one that stuck in the head."
The BLACK SABBATH guitarist successfully underwent an operation in January 2017 to remove a noncancerous lump from his throat.

SHINEDOWN Is Nine Songs Into Writing Process For Next AlbumSHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith has revealed to Two Doods Reviews that the band is "nine songs into the writing process" for its seventh studio album. "We're in the demo process at the moment — we're just writing," he clarified (see video below).
Last month, Smith told the KLOS radio show "Whiplash" that he and bassist/producer Eric Bass were looking to make a more organic-sounding album this time around.
"We've kind of proven that we can make these very large records, these very cinematic, orchestrated records with this wall of sound," he said. "What we wanna try to do with this album is we do want to hone it back down to drums, bass, guitar and vocals and the best songs that we can write and the freshest songs we can write with the most tenacity and the most ferociousness that we can express. So I don't think this time around we're going to necessarily look at the handbook of, 'Let's layer this record like we've layered other records, and let's keep adding to it so that it grows.' I think more the idea of big mono on this album, it's more about stereo and putting all of the sonics down the middle. But you don't have a hundred tracks on a song; you don't take a 22-piece orchestra and bring it in there. We've done that, and we've done those kinds of records, and we love those records, and we love that sound, but I think what we wanna do with this next record is we really want to focus on being a four-piece band, and let's see if we can peel the paint off of the walls with just the fury of the four of us in a room."
This past August, SHINEDOWN broke the record for the most No. 1s ever in the 39-year history of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, scoring its 16th No. 1 hit with "Atlas Falls". This also marked the band's 17th No. 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and its sixth consecutive No. 1, following "How Did You Love", "Devil", "Get Up", "Monsters" and "Attention Attention".
Originally written in 2013, "Atlas Falls" was first made available from SHINEDOWN's vault in March as part of an exclusive song and T-shirt bundle for the band's COVID-19 fundraising effort.
SHINEDOWN also recently released its "Live In London" full concert video on YouTube.

STRYPER's MICHAEL SWEET Praises Supreme Court Nominee AMY CONEY BARRETT: 'Absolute Genius'Michael Sweet of openly Christian rockers STRYPER has praised Amy Coney Barrett, recently nominated to the Supreme Court, for answering questions during confirmation hearings "with poise, grace, patience, humility and intelligence."
While some Democrats have bashed Barrett for being an extremist because of her Catholic faith and for previously criticizing abortion and a Supreme Court decision concerning the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have defended her by bringing up Barrett's character and strong legal credentials.
Earlier today, Sweet took to his social media to write: "Whatever you may think about the Supreme Court Nomination, Amy Coney Barrett has certainly impressed me. To sit through the grueling process of being questioned under fire for hours upon hours with NO NOTES (yet she did have @starbucks ). She answered the questions with poise, grace, patience, humility and intelligence while actually giving the senators a lesson in law, politics and candor. It was refreshing to watch #amyconeybarrett - absolute genius".
Barrett has close ties to People Of Praise, a charismatic Christian religious group which has conservative stances on the role of women in society and other social issues. Former members of the group say it teaches that wives must submit to the will of their husbands.
Back in November 2016, Sweet drew criticism from some STRYPER fans for posting a picture of Donald Trump and congratulating the real estate mogul for "working his ass off for the presidency of the United States of America."
In early March, Sweet praised Trump's actions that served to ramp up the federal government's response to the COVID-19 epidemic — even after Trump was criticized by some parts of the media for downplaying fears about COVID-19 or actively spreading misinformation about its repercussions.
This past May, Sweet said that he would like to see his band represented by Trump's fourth White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany.
According to The Washington Post, 65 percent of Republicans are white Christians, but white Christians account for only 38 percent of Democrats.
In August, Trump said that if Joe Biden, the Democrat challenger for the White House, was elected president, he would "hurt God."
"He's following the radical left agenda — take away your guns, destroy your Second Amendment, no religion, no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt God … He's against God," Trump told supporters during a trip to Ohio.
Whatever you may think about the Supreme Court Nomination, Amy Coney Barrett has certainly impressed me. To sit through...

GODSMACK Side Project THE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVIVAL To Release Debut AlbumTHE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVIVAL, the Florida-based psychedelic rock side project of GODSMACK drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola, will release its self-titled album on December 11. The official music video for the disc's first single, "Optimystic".
"'Optimystic' is calling out to the societal blindness of repeating the same mistakes repeatedly, and willing for change to happen, willing a REVIVAL," says the band in discussing the song.
The nine-track album loosely follows an autobiographical narrative centered around a protagonist on the left-hand path, embracing dark magic rituals that begins on "Waltz Of The Antichrist/Impure", and later changes his ways to ascension concluding with the seven minute-plus track, "A Gecko (Part 2) - The Endless Possibility Of Water (666 Reprise)" that stretches towards a fiery musical catharsis.
Larkin stated: "When you listen to the album, I'd love it if you actually took a trip with us through this dark abyss and came out of it 45 minutes later with a new perspective."
THE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVIVAL sinks into the sweet spot between devilish Delta blues, hard-hitting rock, and inter-dimensional psychedelia. The eclectic array of genres offers opposites of light and dark through musical expression, with tribal percussion echoes alongside a thick bass line during "The Abomination Of Desolation", and a wild wah pedal and slick rhythm on "The Doorway".
"The Apocalypse Blues Revival" track listing:
01. Waltz Of The Antichrist/Impure
02. The Abomination Of Desolation
03. Can't Shake The Blues
04. No One Will Miss Me
05. The Doorway
06. Written In To The World

09. A Gecko (Part 2) – The Endless Possibility Of Water (666 Reprise)
THE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVIVAL materialized in 2020. For nearly a decade, Larkin and Rombola threw down at biker bars, blues haunts, and dyed-in-the-wool venues around the country in an RV with bassist Brian Carpenter. "Tony and I are in our fifties now, and we got to rough it," he laughs. "We felt like real blues guys!"
Under the name of THE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVUE originally, they churned out two albums, "The Apocalypse Blues Revue" (2016) and "The Shape Of Blues To Come" (2018), that generated nearly one million total streams. During late 2019, Shannon welcomed lifelong friend and lead singer, Shane Hall into the fold. A few years ago, Shane held down vocals in a wild funk outfit alongside Shannon and Tony, sparking a flame fanned to its fullest potential in THE APOCALYPSE BLUES REVIVAL.
The quartet casted an unbreakable spell on their new self-titled independent full-length debut. For Shannon, this idea of the new album initially blossomed on a tour bus during a freezing January in Europe. Slowly but surely, the songs came to life in order, sketched out on hotel notepads and written wherever possible. Processing the loss of his sister, he translated this pain into the story.
"It's a completely different band," affirms Shannon. "We've shifted into more of a psychedelic rock sound. My big vision was to simply mix the influences from my two favorite classic rock artists — David Bowie and PINK FLOYD — with my favorite blues artists: Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan and B.B. King. The foundation is always blues. That's how I approach the drums, but we're veering off into more eclectic areas and rock. As the guy who writes the lyrics and melodies, I'm limited to my singer. Shane has taken all of those limitations away. He's such an extension of me that it's no wonder we've been best friends for twenty years."

JIMMY PAGE 'Reconnected Properly With The Guitar' During Coronavirus LockdownLegendary LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page has told Classic Rock magazine in a new interview that he is not ready to hang up his instrument just yet. "I'm never not doing something," he said, "and I'm never not doing something that's going to surprise people. It's like when I did a spoken word project with my girlfriend [2019's 'Catalyst', with poet Scarlett Sabet]. Nobody was expecting me to do that, because nobody had done that before. It was really wonderful to do. But I've always got ideas, and the day that I wake up and haven't got any ideas of what to do and how to do it, that for me will be a very sad day. And that day looks like it's some way off yet.
"One of the things I was complaining about before we all had to lock down was that I wasn't having enough time to play guitar," he continued. "I was able to actually say, 'Well, this is it. You can do it every day now.' So, it's given me an opportunity to reconnect properly with the guitar."
Last year, Page said that he was planning to tell his life story in the form of a book. Speaking to Uncut magazine, he said: "I will definitely do an autobiography. Every six months brings new things for me to write about or comment about. I have a number of ways I plan to approach it. But I am determined that I'll write it first and then go to a publisher, because I don't want to be held to a deadline."
In October 2018, LED ZEPPELIN released its first and only official illustrated book, "Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin". It was a unique collaboration between Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist John Paul Jones, who gave Reel Art Press unrestricted access to the LED ZEPPELIN archive.
ZEPPELIN last performed in December 2007 in London, with drummer Jason Bonham filling in for his late father John Bonham.

Watch Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist GILBY CLARKE Perform Acoustic Version Of 'Skin & Bones' For GIBSON TVIn the latest episode of Gibson TV's "The Songbook", former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke performs a stripped down version of the song "Skin & Bones", which originally appeared on his 2007 self-titled album.
As previously reported, Clarke will release a new single, "Tightwad", on October 26. The track, which features MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx on bass and JANE'S ADDICTION's Stephen Perkins on drums, is taken from Clarke's upcoming album, "The Gospel Truth".
"This song was written around a guitar riff I discovered while trying out a new fuzz pedal," Gilby said. "Lyrically I was inspired by deceit, treachery and the creative extremes people will go through to get ahead. I tried to get my message through with humor, but if it hits to close to home, maybe we all should take a closer look at ourselves and make improvements.
"I was lucky to have some wonderful musician friends contribute to the recording of this track, Nikki Sixx and Stephen Perkins. Stephen, as always, came through with a beat that drives the song and Nikki found a cool bass groove that accentuates the feel I was looking for. I tried to get my message through with humor, but sometimes the truth hurts."
"The Gospel Truth" will be released via Golden Robot Records. The disc was produced and written by Gilby at his Los Angeles recording studio, Redrum Recording, where he's also helmed records for such artists as L.A. GUNS, THE BRONX, BEAT ANGELS, BULLETS AND OCTANE and many more. The album was mixed by Grammy Award winner Chris Lord-Alge and mastered by Maor Appelbaum. Joining Gilby on the LP are Muddy Stardust on bass, Kenny Aronoff (JOHN MELLENCAMP, JOHN FOGERTY, CHICKENFOOT) on drums, along with Matt Starr (ACE FREHLEY, MR. BIG) and Chad Stewart (FASTER PUSSYCAT, L.A. GUNS) on backing vocals.
When asked how his new music may be different to his previous material, Gilby said: "I don't think it's very different at all. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel. I have found the music that I like as an artist and a musician. It's important that I get better at it and try new things, but I like rock and roll, and loud guitars are good for the soul."
Clarke also discussed his songwriting process, saying: "I always start with a good guitar riff, then add the devil's drumbeat. It's good when you can put some interesting lyrics to it, too. I always try to find a new way of saying something simple. I don't like to complicate my lyrics, but I never duplicate them either."
At last year's NAMM show in in Anaheim, California, Clarke stated about the long delay in getting his new solo album completed: "For me, I can't do a record unless I feel good about the songs. I wanna make a record that I wanna listen to. So, these songs I'm really excited about. They're new songs. It really is classic rock. There's really nothing new on it — it's just a new version of what I like to do, which is loud guitars, man. So, I went in there. I used guys like Kenny Aronoff on drums, Steve Perkins — some really great players. I played all the guitars and did all the singing on it. But I think it's good — I think it's a good fresh approach on classic rock, really."
Clarke replaced founding guitarist Izzy Stradlin in the GUNS lineup in 1991, during the "Use Your Illusion" tour, and stayed with the band for three years. After exiting GUNS N' ROSES, Clarke continued as a producer and solo artist, while also playing in SLASH'S SNAKEPIT, ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, HEART and other acts.
Clarke released his solo debut, "Pawnshop Guitars", in 1994.

Hear ZAKK SABBATH's Cover Of BLACK SABBATH's 'Under The Sun'ZAKK SABBATH's cover of the BLACK SABBATH classic "Under The Sun" is the third digital single taken from the forthcoming MER Redux series installment "Vol. 4 [Redux]". You can now stream it below.
ZAKK SABBATH is the BLACK SABBATH tribute band featuring guitarist and vocalist Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE), bassist Robert "Blasko" Nicholson (OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE), and drummer Joey Castillo (DANZIG, QUEEN OF THE STONE AGE), who have been constantly gigging since 2014 with their unique yet respectful take on the Birmingham four's classic early songs.
"Vol. 4 [Redux]" track listing:
01. THOU - Wheels of Confusion
02. THE OBSESSED - Tomorrow's Dream
03. HIGH REEPER - Changes
04. MATT PIKE - FX
05. SPIRIT ADRIFT - Supernaut
06. GREEN LUNG - Snowblind
07. WHORES - Cornucopia
08. TONY REED - Laguna Sunrise
09. HAUNT - St. Vitus Dance
10. ZAKK SABBATH - Under The Sun
Magnetic Eye bows at the Birmingham altar to celebrate BLACK SABBATH's 50th anniversary with an offering of an end-to-end re-imagining of "Vol. 4", which still remains as one of the most acclaimed albums in the canon of these godfathers of heavy metal.
A pantheon of metal and doom heavyweights, including some of metal’s most famously SABBATH-inspired icons, pay homage to "Vol. 4", which witnessed the masters expanding their minds over their weighty foundation.
Zakk told Rolling Stone about performing SABBATH's classic material: "Going back to high-school keg parties, we'd be playing songs by RUSH, SABBATH, [Jimi] Hendrix, whatever [in a cover band], and one person would sing the RUSH stuff, someone could do THE DOORS, and I'd end up doing the SABBATH or Ozzy stuff. It's hilarious to me, because we were 17 years old playing keg parties at a friend's house and now I'm 53 years old and I'm still playing 'N.I.B.' and SABBATH songs at keg parties, except there's a couple more people." 1

BROKENRAIL Release “Creatures” SingleThe new album from one of the most exciting young metal acts on the scene today, Alabama’s BrokenRail, is nearly ready for release, but thankfully fans won’t have to wait any longer for a first taste of what’s in store. The band has just released “Creatures,” the album’s first single, a brutally heavy slab of guitar-driven fury that showcases the band’s stellar musicianship as well as the powerful voice of BR frontman Blake Clawson. Produced by Joseph McQueen (As I Lay Dying, Bad Wolves), “Creatures” perfectly encapsulates the passion and creativity of this incredible band who have poured their heart and soul into this new album.
Clawson shares these thoughts about the new single and forthcoming album “We couldn’t be more excited for the future of BrokenRail. The upcoming album not only redefines our sound but it also tells a story of the evolution of this band. We decided to lead with ‘Creatures’ for the first single as it is one of the heavier songs on the album and we felt that energy was important to lay the groundwork moving forward. The timing couldn’t be more perfect since it’s just in time for Halloween, our favorite holiday, as well as the 12-year anniversary of the band. We ran with this theme by adding in the horror element for the music video and we’re so proud of the final product our director Alan put together. We were given exclusive access to the Arx Mortis Haunted Attraction in North Alabama along with some of their amazing artists and every single person involved was just wonderful! It’s also one of the creepiest places we’ve been to after dark. We’re excited to bring you ‘Creatures’ and ultimately this entire album. I think you’re really going to like it!"
The band’s full-length album, Beautiful Chaos, will be available on digital, CD and limited-edition colored vinyl starting November 13.
Tracklisting:
“Beautiful Chaos”
“Nightmare”
“California”
“Demon In Disguise”
“Creatures”
“On My Own”
“Patterns”
“Never Be The Same”
“The Haunted”
“Reignite”

POWERMAN 5000 Releases Special 2020 Version Of 'When Worlds Collide'Almost two months ago, industrial metal heroes POWERMAN 5000 released their newest album, "The Noble Rot", which both fans and critics have been hailing for its nostalgic vibe and a fine return to form for these music veterans. The album title itself reflects this as it borrows a term from the wine-making process of selecting those grapes that have been aged to achieve just the right level of "rot" to make the sweetest, most flavorful wine. And so it seems fitting that this long-running act has chosen this year to pluck one of its oldest and most celebrated songs from the vine for a fresh and invigorating new studio version. "When Worlds Collide" is perhaps the song most closely associated with POWERMAN 5000 ever since it became a monster hit on MTV in 1999 as well as being selected for inclusion in the landmark video game "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" and the Adam Sandler film "Little Nicky". Through the years, the song has continually evolved through live performances by various incarnations of the band, which has kept the track among the favorites of even the most diehard fans. No surprise then that this new version sounds more muscular, more confident and more modern than the original.
As frontman and founder Spider One puts it: "Re-recording 'When Worlds Collide' was like jumping into a time machine. We play that song live every night on tour but I hadn't actually listened to the recorded version in a long time. So, when it came time to tackle the re-record, it was a weird process of trying to emulate myself. Which all these years later seemed like a stranger."
Many fans have already heard this new recording as it was offered as a bonus track on the CD version of "The Noble Rot". But now the band has made the track available on all digital platforms, along with a superb cover design by Mark R. Kosobucki.
In May, POWERMAN 5000 released its reimagining of the classic '80s new wave smash "We Got The Beat". "We Got The Beat" was originally released in 1981 as part of THE GO-GO'S' multi-platinum debut album "Beauty And The Beat".
POWERMAN 5000's previous album, "New Wave", was released in October 2017 via Pavement Entertainment.
Last year, POWERMAN 5000 celebrated the 20th anniversary of its most successful album, "Tonight The Stars Revolt!", by embarking on a U.S. tour.
"Tonight The Stars Revolt!", POWERMAN 5000's second album, was released on July 20, 1999 by DreamWorks Records. It has sold over one million copies and achieved platinum status on the back of such hits as "Nobody's Real" and "When Worlds Collide".

Drummer Vincent Verstrepen comments: "I'm very excited to unleash the very first drum play-through of Where Death Lies. The writing process of 'Napalm Ascension' came together pretty naturally. Most of the songs on the album started from jam-sessions with the band. I tried to keep a certain flow and groove in this particular song. Enjoy & thank you all for watching!"

THANATOPSIS Streaming Title Track From Upcoming Initiation AlbumCalifornia's Thanatopsis have unleashed the title track off their upcoming debut album "Initiation" due out October 23, 2020 via Extreme Metal Music to follow their four independently released demos between 1993-1997.
The band comments about the song:
"The title track of the album, a banger of a song made for headbanging, with technical elements as well. From hidden cults to overt street violence, this song details the initiation into a gang connected to the cult, by means of shooting human targets. Once again, an infiltration ensues."
After a hiatus, 3/4 of the band has reunited along with the new addition of drummer Jason Borton (Jungle Rot, Arkaik) to offer their debut full-length, which features past recordings that are given a second life and a chance to be heard by a broader audience along with new unheard material. The album was recorded at Trident Studios with renowned producer Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Testament, Machine Head).
The overall album experience shares eight old school thrash/death metal influenced tracks that are an emotionally twisted ride of violently catchy brutality. With themes that include corruption, occultism, murder, revolt, and loss of faith, Thanatopsis delivers an album that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish, with a sound unlike any other.
The band comments: "It has been a long time in the making and we are very excited to present to the world the first official full-length Thanatopsis album Initiation. This album contains timeless songs that fans, both old and new, will appreciate. Bringing our sound to the masses has been a collective dream of ours for a long time. In a scene that is saturated with bands, we are proud to release something that is unique in character to the metal world at large."

SCARDUST Unveils Official Music Video For "Stranger"An intriguing concept album built of complementary song pairs working from the outside in, Strangers - set to be released on October 30 by M-Theory Audio - is the newest effort from Israeli progressive/symphonic metal band, Scardust. With one pair of songs already unveiled to the general public via the music videos for “Tantibus II” and “Addicted”, the band has now revealed the first chapter of another two-part saga with their new music video for the track “Stranger”, which can be viewed below. A video for its companion track will be released next week.
Says vocalist Noa Gruman, “When someone close to your heart is leaving you and you’re breaking down and feeling that you’re left to face the world on your own, the shared memories and moments that you had become 'Stranger.' Being neglected is a fragile and exposed feeling, so in this one song we chose to lose the choir and strings and strip things down to the core musicians. In the video, they are playing the song, but never together, in an obscure, unrealistic location. They are surrounded by concrete pillars and the scene is continuously spinning, leaving the viewer feeling dizzy and uncomfortable. Lyrics pop out here and there to highlight specific parts, and there are also hints of water by the musicians' feet and paint cans lying on the ground. One may wonder why, and it will all be revealed in the other side of the story, told from the side of the neglector.”
Mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Arch Enemy), Strangers”was written and composed jointly by singer Noa Gruman and composer Orr Didi, who also collaborated with Gruman on Scardust's full-length debut, Sands Of Time, and their 2015 EP Shadow.”The album features guest appearances from German folk musician Patty Gurdy, as well as vocals by the Hellscore choir and England’s prestigious Westbrook Hay Prep School Chamber Choir.
Pre-orders for CD and limited-edition gray smoke vinyl editions of Strangers are now live, here.
Scardust recently launched the “Mist Cover Challenge,” an invitation for fans to play or sing along with the final minute of the new song “Mist,” the closing track of Strangers, with the chance of winning a deluxe package of signed CD and vinyl copies of Strangers, a new Scardust t-shirt design and guitar picks. To enter the challenge, follow the instructions at this location and upload your video anywhere on social media, tagging the band and including the hashtag #scardustmist. Entries close on October 25, and winners will be announced by the band during a special livestream on November 1 that will also feature a live performance and a Q&A with special guest Patty Gurdy.

WHITESNAKE Release "Now You're Gone" 2020 Remix Video From Upcoming Love Songs CollectionWhitesnake brings together some of the most-passionate music of its multi-platinum career on Love Songs, a new collection that contains remixed and remastered versions of the group’s best love songs. It’s the second release in the band’s Red, White and Blues Trilogy, a series of compilations organized by musical themes that began this summer with The Rock Album (white) and will conclude next year with The Blues Album (blue).
A video for a fresh, new remix of "Now You're Gone" can be seen below:
The new collection includes a mix of hits and deep tracks that were originally released between 1987 and 2011 on five Whitesnake studio albums and David Coverdale’s third solo album, Into The Light. Available for pre-order now, Love Songs will be released on November 6 as a CD , as a double-LP set pressed on 180-gram red vinyl, and digitally. The album will also be available via Rhino.com .
Like The Rock Album, Coverdale says all the tracks on Love Songs have been revisited, remixed and remastered. “Some have been musically embellished where my co-producer Michael McIntyre, my new mixer Christopher Collier and I felt it appropriate or necessary to bring out the best in these songs,” he explains.
Coverdale continues, “As most of you know, pretty much all the songs I write are love songs in some way, shape or form. These are some of my favorites. Not all are ballads. Some are out and out rockers with powerful romantic themes… and of course… include heavy breathing in all of them!!”
Released in October 1987 as the follow-up to the #1 smash “Here I Go Again,” “Is This Love” would peak at #2 on the US singles chart, making it the second-biggest hit of the band’s career. The group’s next album, the platinum-certified Slip Of The Tongue (1989), is represented here by the hit singles “The Deeper The Love” and “Now You’re Gone.”
In addition to the album tracks “Don’t You Cry” and “Midnight Blue,” the set also introduces three previously unreleased outtakes from the Into The Light album sessions: “With All Of My Heart,” “Yours For The Asking,” and “Let’s Talk It Over.” The albums Restless Heart (1997), Good To Be Bad (2008), and Forevermore (2011) are also represented on the compilation with multiple tracks (“Too Many Tears,” “Summer Rain,” and “Easier Said Than Done”).
