FEAR FACTORY's DINO CAZARES Doesn't Understand 'Senseless Drama' Surrounding Band's Comeback EffortFEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares has once again defended his decision to launch a GoFundMe campaign to assist him with the production costs associated with the release of the band's long-awaited new album.
Last week, FEAR FACTORY singer Burton C. Bell, who has fronted the group since its inception, posted a message on his official Facebook and Instagram saying that he is "not part of" and isn't "benefiting" from any GoFundMe campaign. He added the hashtag "#fearfactory". This led to confusion among some of the FEAR FACTORY fans, especially since Dino had already indicated that Bell's lead vocals would be featured on the upcoming record.
After issuing a statement on Friday clarifying his motives in asking for outside donations, Dino was accussed by some fans on social media of being dishonest with respect to where the GoFundMe monies would be going, particularly since Bell alluded in a social media post that Cazares was looking for help with covering his legal fees and called Dino's fundraising efforts a "scam."
On Monday (September 14), Dino once again took to his social media to reassure fans that funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign would be used toward the making of the new FEAR FACTORY album and to express his excitement about how the LP was turning out.
He wrote: "Despite what you may have heard about the FEAR FACTORY GoFundMe page, it is not a scam or created to pay anyone's personal legal fees.
"A lot of people have jumped on the negative bandwagon that some of you fail to see the truth. I've taken some of the most harshest criticism about me, some coming from members of the band, some from ex members of the band and from fans.
"I don't understand why [there is] all this senseless drama, because at the end of the day, we all want the same thing and that is to enjoy a badass FEAR FACTORY record that is going to benefit us all.
"I'm going to tell you the truth about this album. Three years ago, in 2017, we finished a album that was given to the record company complete with artwork. This record may have never seen the light of day because of all the legal issues that were surrounding the rights to the FEAR FACTORY name.
"After I regained my full rights to the name, I decided to take this three-year-old album and make some much-needed improvements. Thanks to all the donations that we've received so far we are able to hire the same production crew that we've had on 'Genexus'.
"All I want to do is make this record the best record it could be with some amazing people working on it. It deserves a killer production to make this a classic FF album. I'm so excited for everyone to hear it because it really sounds amazing.
"It's that simple. That is all I wanted to do.
"Despite all the shit I'm getting, I still love you all and I'm not mad at anyone."
FEAR FACTORY's fundraising campaign marks the first public activity from the band since it completed a 2016 U.S. headlining tour on which it performed its classic second album, "Demanufacture", in its entirety.
In a November 2018 interview, Bell said that FEAR FACTORY had completed a new album tentatively titled "Monolith". He also said that "legal technicalities" needed to be sorted out before the record could be released. The effort will mark the Californian band's first collection of new music since 2015's "Genexus" LP.
FEAR FACTORY was the subject of breakup rumors in May 2017 when the band's former bassist-turned-guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers posted a since-deleted eulogy for FF on his Instagram. He wrote "RIP Fear Factory" and appended that post with the hashtag #GrownAssMenThatCantWorkOutShit.

KATATONIA Announce Dead Air Multi-Format Release; Extensive Set Of Fan Favourites Captured During 2020 Lockdown SessionKatatonia will release Dead Air, an extensive and majestic set of fan favourites, captured during their 2020 lockdown session. The release will be available on November 13 via Peaceville Records as a gatefold double LP; a limited edition 3-disc set featuring 2 audio discs and DVD format, and digitally. Pre-order now:
- omerch.com
- katatoniaband.lnk.to/DeadAir
Formed in 1991 by Jonas Renkse & Anders Nyström, and transitioning from early pioneers of the rising black/death/doom movement, to powerhouses of the progressive metallic rock genre, 2020 saw Katatonia present their eleventh studio opus, the poignant City Burials, to unanimous acclaim. And so now, following closely in its footsteps, the Swedish dark rock masters present Dead Air to further immortalize the strangest of times.
With a somewhat unforeseen global event transpiring this year which resulted in touring being made all but impossible for artists internationally, Katatonia conducted a more intimate “lockdown” show which was streamed live from Studio Grondahl, Stockholm on May 9. Dead Air offers fans a full 88-minute set containing 20 tracks from the band’s extensive and illustrious repertoire to date, with inclusions spanning two decades of dark progressive greatness, and essentially also debuting three of the City Burials album tracks in a live setting.
"Due to an overwhelming demand, we are proud to confirm that our lockdown livestream from Gröndahl earlier this year will now see a physical release where you can re-experience the #20 most wanted songs exclusively voted by our fans from all around the world. This very special evening of May 9th will forever serve us as a memory of something equally weird as fantastic, so it feels essential to make it available as something you can touch and own forever” - Anders Nyström
The tracklisting itself contains a very literal selection of fan favourites overall, having being voted for exclusively by the band’s worldwide fanbase, flawlessly flirting between earlier singles such as metallic anthems "My Twin" and "July", to the stirring emotional grandeur of new song, "Lacquer".
The recording, mixing & engineering work was orchestrated by David Castillo, notable for his extensive body of work with Katatonia to date, and the performance itself was professionally filmed by Blackbox Video.

BURTON C. BELL Distances Himself From Upcoming FEAR FACTORY Album, Says His Focus Is On ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERSBurton C. Bell has distanced himself from the upcoming release of the long-awaited new FEAR FACTORY album, saying that his priority is his ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS project.
On Friday (September 11), FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares issued a statement clarifying his reasons for launching a GoFundMe campaign to assist him with the production costs associated with the release of the new LP. Earlier that same day, Bell, who has fronted the group since its inception, posted a message on his official Facebook and Instagram saying that he is "not part of" and isn't "benefiting" from any GoFundMe campaign. He added the hashtag "#fearfactory". This led to confusion among some of the FEAR FACTORY fans, especially since Dino had already indicated that Bell's lead vocals would be featured on the upcoming record.
Asked in a September 10 interview with the "Aftershocks" podcast what he can say about the new FEAR FACTORY disc, Bell said (hear audio below): "Well, we finished and delivered a new FEAR FACTORY record in 2017 — mixed, mastered, artwork and everything. Now, we'll see what Nuclear Blast releases. I have no idea. My focus is ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS."
In his statement explaining the GoFundMe campaign, Cazares said that all donations will go toward covering newly incurred production costs involved with the making of the new FEAR FACTORY LP, including re-recording the drums, guitars, bass and keyboards, as well as mixing and mastering by Andy Sneap. Burton's original lead vocals, which were recorded in full in 2017, will remain on the new version of the album.
ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS will release its second full-length album, "Apocrypha", on October 9 via Dissonance Productions. The recording will be available on CD, two limited vinyl formats and through all major digital outlets.
He sang on the record he’s finished his parts. The donations is for live drums ,mixing and mastering plus keyboards the production team and performers need to get paid for there work. Burton definitely benefits from a great sounding record. https://t.co/soj789wjNE

FALSET Feat. DREAM THEATER Singer JAMES LABRIE's Son CHANCE: 'Hollow Saints' Lyric VideoCanadian rock group FALSET will release its debut album, "We Follow Or Lead The Way", on October 16. The band is comprised of Zach Copeland (vocals/guitar), Braeden Kozy (guitar), Riley Fields (bass) and Chance LaBrie (drums), son of DREAM THEATER singer James LaBrie.
The official lyric video for FALSET's second single, "Hollow Saints", can be seen below.
Chance says: "After dropping 'Give' as the first single leading up to our debut album, 'We Follow Or Lead The Way', we thought it would be cool to throw a curve ball at everyone and release 'Hollow Saints' next. This one's a kick in the face and is for all you metalheads out there. As we grow as musicians, we're proud to be diverse while we maintain our sound."
Zach adds: "'Hollow Saints' was a really cool song to record because it has this interesting back-and-forth vocal effect going on between Kozy and I. It was cool to be able to vibe off of each other while tracking. It sort of set the energy and mood. It really made for a huge in-your-face sound."
"We Follow Or Lead The Way" was produced by Zach Copeland and mixed by Nolly Getgood (PERIPHERY, DEVIN TOWNSEND). The album combines metalcore, modern rock, djent, and prog elements highlighted by heavy-hitting breakdowns, soaring melodic vocals, and virtuosic guitar solos for a collection of exciting and memorable material.
Chance said: "This album was made at my uncle David's cottage. It was nice to get away from all of of life's distractions and have a relaxing environment to write this album in with the boys. Then Nolly just brought it up a whole other level with the huge mix."
Added Copeland: "We were just experimenting as we were writing and this is what came out of it. It was a lot of fun to make."
Track listing:
01. Kingdom
02. Give
03. Fire At Will
04. We Follow Or Lead The Way
05. Rock Bottom
06. Hollow Saints
07. Dear Heaven Dear Saints

FEAR FACTORY Launches Fundraising Campaign For Long-Awaited New AlbumFEAR FACTORY has launched a GoFundMe campaign for its long-awaited new album. The disc, which features Dino Cazares on guitar/bass, Burton C. Bell on vocals and Mike Heller on drums, is tentatively due in 2021 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The effort is being produced by Damien Rainaud and FEAR FACTORY and will be mixed by Andy Sneap.
FEAR FACTORY's fundraising campaign marks the first public activity from the band since it completed a 2016 U.S. headlining tour on which it performed its classic second album, "Demanufacture", in its entirety.
A message from FEAR FACTORY on the GoFundMe page reads as follows:
"Calling all FEAR FACTORY fans!
"As the smoke clears on what has been a very long and arduous period for FEAR FACTORY, we would firstly like to acknowledge our fans for supporting us and being very patient as we again find our footing after a long absence due to an intensive legal dispute.
"We are relieved to report that the legal matter surrounding the FEAR FACTORY name has now come to an end and the band is now able to move forward.
"It has been a long road in getting to this point and it has certainly not been without its challenges both professionally and personally. As a result, it has caused a significant blow and thrown a wrench into the gears of the FEAR FACTORY machine by creating a heavy financial burden of debt and crushing legal fees associated with the many disputes on the road to reaching a final outcome.
"As it stands, FEAR FACTORY are back, but are now facing an uncertain future financially and we need your help to restart the machine to get FF back up and running and firing on all cylinders. The mounting legal hardship and ensuing legalities have caused both the delayed completion and release of our 10th studio album, so we've decided to take the unique step of reaching out to our fans to ask for help through a Gofundme page.
"If you are able to contribute your donation will go directly towards finishing the new album. We are currently in the post production stage and have yet to complete drums, mixing, mastering and finalizing artwork for a 2021 release.
"Any monies raised above our goal will also go towards producing new music videos for the upcoming album which we are excited to get underway as soon as possible.
"We understand that the current situation with the global pandemic may make it difficult for a lot of our fans to contribute at this time, as we are also feeling the financial hardship due to the corona virus and recognize the struggles we are all facing at the moment.
"We'd like to thank you all for the love and continued support over the last 30 years and hope that together, we can reach our goal.
"Please share and help spread the word and also keep a look out, as we will be posting regular updates on the new album as it progresses for everyone to get a peak inside the gears of the machine and a look at the recording and post production process.
"Stay safe, Stay positive and know that you have got the power to effect a change.
"The machine is still alive!
"Thank You"
In a November 2018 interview, Bell said that FEAR FACTORY had completed a new album tentatively titled "Monolith". He also said that "legal technicalities" needed to be sorted out before the record could be released. The effort will mark the Californian band's first collection of new music since 2015's "Genexus" LP.

OVERKILL To Begin Recording New Album Next WeekOVERKILL is scheduled to enter the studio on Monday, September 14 to begin recording its new album for a tentative April 2021 release via Nuclear Blast.
Earlier today, OVERKILL drummer Jason Bittner posted a photo of some of the equipment he will be using during the recording sessions, and he included the following caption: "COVID won't stop the new OVERKILL record from being made.....tracking starts a week from this Monday......holy shit that's soon.....I'd like to send a HUGE shoutout to a few of my endorsers that know a time crunch and are still here for me during these rough times!!!"
Last month, Bittner said that OVERKILL had demoed 11 songs for the upcoming album. He told BODS Mayhem Hour about the songwriting process: "The way we normally do records is we work on everything ourselves, and then we take a week where we go down to New Jersey and everybody gets together. And we'll work on, like, two songs a day and just bust it out for five or six days and then get everything together. But this one may be a little bit more of us getting it together from our homes and doing a lot more online discussion and stuff about things rather than us actually playing it. So, we'll see."
Asked if the 11 tracks are pretty much the ones that will make up the next OVERKILL album or if there will be more material written for the LP, Jason said: "My guess would be that what we have right now is what's gonna be on the record. We're generally not a band that writes extra songs. It's kind of like you write what you need for the album and you write another one for Japan, [which] always needs an extra B-side. And that's pretty much it. We don't do that METALLICA thing of, 'Let's write 30 songs and pick 10 of the best ones.' I think it's definitely a better idea to just concentrate on doing 10 great songs rather than having six throwaways or whatever."
This past June, OVERKILL singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth told A&P Reacts about the musical direction of the band's new songs: "I see it as a natural progression from 'The Grinding Wheel' [2017] and 'The Wings Of War' [2019]. It think when we had done the 'Ironbound' record [2010], it almost became like a trilogy in there — it was kind of like 'Ironbound', 'The Electric Age' [2012] and 'White Devil Armory' [2014], and they seemed to be the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost kind of a thing. I think we kind of broke the mold a little bit with 'The Grinding Wheel', and then I think a little bit more with 'The Wings Of War'. And on this one, I see it way more. And what I mean by that is that we've used other tools from our toolshed in the past, and that's the slow grind that is coupled with that fast gallop. So it feels like a natural progression, but maybe two records ahead of what 'The Wings Of War' is. And that's probably as objective as I can be."
OVERKILL has spent most of the last year touring in support of its 19th studio LP, "The Wings Of War", which was released in February 2019.
Tracking begins very soon.....

DGM Premier "Hope" Lyric VideoItalian progressive metal masters, DGM, will release their long-awaited 10th studio album, Tragic Separation, on October 9 via Frontiers Music Srl. It follows the band’s release The Passage from 2016. Today, the band has released a lyric video for the song "Hope". Watch the clip below, and pre-order/save Tragic Separation here.
DGM started writing new music in the spring of 2019, with the overall process taking almost one year. This was a longer writing process than normal for them since it was the band’s desire to push themselves beyond any boundaries set by their previous work. Truly no small feat given the band’s catalog. The end result is Tragic Separation, an album where the band ticks all the boxes of the progressive metal genre, but adds more and more of their own personal identity and approach.
Long-time fans need not worry as you can still find all the trademark elements of DGM’s sound with sweeping choruses, technical passages, lightning fast fretwork, big vocals, and bombastic transitions. But the care and dedication to the songwriting emerges in phenomenal songs which carefully encompass everything that goes from traditional progressive metal to a more classic hard rock sound (even giving a nod to Kansas' sound in the title track). The playing is faultless as usual and the melodies are perfectly woven into killer guitars, epic keyboards, and pounding drums.
Not only are the songs presented here simply great music, but lyrically, Tragic Separation is a concept album told through the eyes of a protagonist about life and the paths we can go down between the choices we make, plus the subsequent consequences those choices bring to our lives. Among the doubts and second thoughts about the choices made, there is one that echoes in the protagonist’s soul: what if the answer for everything was the path itself? An unanswered question, which is another starting point for a new quest... another beginning.
Watch out for DGM, they are not only Italy’s finest progressive metal band, but an absolute astounding force to be reckoned with. The band will tour on the album as soon as conditions allow.

TOMORROW'S RAIN Debut New Song "Into The Mouth Of Madness" Feat. JEFF LOOMIS And KOBI FARHI; Lyric VideoTel Aviv’s dark metal band, Tomorrow's Rain, has released their final single, "Into The Mouth Of Madness" featuring Jeff Loomis (ex-Nevermore, Arch Enemy) and Kobi Farhi (Orphaned Land), from their debut album, Hollow, out September 11 via AOP Records. In addition to collaborators Loomis and Farhi, the album boasts and incredible lineup of guests including members from Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Rotting Christ, Moonspell, Septicflesh, Draconian and more.
Vocalist Yishai Sweartz comments on the new single: “It's a personal song for a friend I lost and his name is Warrel Dane. Having Jeff Loomis playing in the song for Warrel is at least for me like a 7 min spiritual reunion of Nevermore, we lost here a top class artist, and more important: a golden heart person.
"As a listener I first knew Sanctuary when Into The Mirror Black came out, than Nevermore's debut was released in 95 and I was totally into it, years passed by and I booked them to play here, that's how I knew Warrel, after the band split up I booked Warrel to play the Dead Heart songs in Tel Aviv with a local band, that's when we really got closer, he spent few days here, we went to the studio doing some Black Sabbath stuff, we went to eat and drink a lot, went to see places in the Ancient part of the city etc etc, he was sober back than and he was sober when Nevermore played here few years earlier, we talked about the Tomorrow's Rain album, back than still in writing process, we talked about his ideas to record a covers album of gothic rock songs and I offered him few ideas, we discussed him coming to Israel again for like 2 weeks to produce the album, about 2 years later I booked Sanctuary to play here, mainly to support him, when he came I realized in minutes that he is not "with us" anymore, he was not in a good shape, it was sad to see, I realized that he will not be able to produce the album, but more important: I was worried about him, I was so scared that something bad is about to happen, I felt it.
"About a few months later I was in the car with my (now ex) girlfriend and suddenly I got an whatsap message from a common friend of us in the states saying Warrel had passed away few hours ago. I remember myself saying to (my ex) 'stop the car', I could not say a word. 'What happened?' she looked at me stopping the car, I was shivering… 'Warrel had passed away'.
"I could not say a word, I simply cried and than told her: 'play In Memory please', I remember she put In Memory CD loud in the car's stereo and the lyrics were my dirge..
"Do you remember, do you believe it's all been said and done
Or is it just beginning, ripping, freezing me
Do you remember the time gone
Or is too painful for you"
"So 'Into The Mouth Of Madness' was written for him, about him, about his last months, and about the friend i lost and the great artist and fantastic vocalist and lyricist we all lost, i miss him and I will miss him all my life."
Hollow boasts an assortment of guest musicians including Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride), Greg Mackintosh (Paradise Lost), Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy/Nevermore), Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell), Spiros Antoniou (Septicflesh), Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ), Mikko Kotamaki (Swallow The Sun), Kobi Farhi (Orphaned Land), Anders Jacobsson (Draconian), Shlomi Bracha (Mashina) and Lisa Cuthbert (live session vocalist for Sisters Of Mercy).

Stockholm's LIK Launches Music Video For New Single "Funeral Anthem"On September 25th, Stockholm's Lik will unleash their third full-length, Misanthropic Breed, via Metal Blade Records. Pre-orders can be placed now at this location.
For a preview of Misanthropic Breed, the video for "Funeral Anthem" can be viewed below. This clip was filmed during the album's recording session in March/April 2020 by Lik and Lawrence Mackrory, edited by the band's own Joakim Antman.
Sweden has long been held in high regard as one of the hotbeds of global death metal. With Misanthropic Breed - produced, mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory (Obey Mastering) - Lik only add fuel to this fire.
"The title of the record is Misanthropic Breed, because it describes the world today and the generations that are emerging," states vocalist / guitarist Tomas Åkvik. "In a way, it's more applicable than ever with the quote 'It's every man for himself' being so suitable, and it's also a 'hidden' homage to both Dismember and Entombed."
Far darker in tone and with fewer jokes than included on their previous releases, when it came to lyrical subject matter, the band were influenced partially by movies and books, but most of their inspiration came from looking back at their own catalogue. "The songs are inspired by older Lik songs, and where we could take a new direction from that. Of course there are other bands that we love involved as well, but for example, 'Female Fatal To The Flesh' is an evolved take on 'The Deranged' from Carnage mixed with 'Skin Necrosis' from Mass Funeral Evocation, while 'The Weird' is an even more brutal 'Ghoul' from the same record. Then there's 'Corrosive Survival', which was inspired by the disaster of Chernobyl, and 'Morbid Fascination' is like a Metallica / Entombed / Dismember track which turned out really cool. I think the main inspiration is still drawn from old school death metal, which we think is how death metal should be played."

Former ROSE TATTOO Guitarist JOHN MEYER Passes AwayRose Tattoo have confirmed the passing of their former guitarist, John Meyer. "It is with a heavy heart we share the news of John Meyer’s passing. Rest In Peace."
The award winning guitarist/composer/songwriter/producer also performed with Saracen, Swanee, and Chain.
From Rose Tattoo's Facebook page: John was born in Three Springs, a small farming town in rural Western Australia. The first born of Dutch immigrants, John’s father Jan was a jazz fan and John grew up to the sounds of Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman and the like. Jan, known to his friends as “Fred”, also played the Guitar, Saxophone, Clarinet and later played bass guitar in a band called the “Spectors” which featured originally as the drummer and then lead singer, a young Bon Scott who later went on to fame as the lead singer of AC/DC.
John received a drum kit from his father at age 13 and with much enthusiasm joined a band but in his own words, ”it became obvious to my older band mates that maybe I should take up panel beating or wood chopping. I was keen but sadly lacked that necessary ingredient, skill.”
He was lucky that his dad had a number of instruments including guitars, woodwind instruments and a piano, so he amused himself by trying them out. The guitar seemed impossible at first, but at that stage his hero’s were John Lennon of the Beatles and Hank Marvin of the Shadows, who he wanted to emulate.
Around age 14, at a friends house a recording of Peter Green playing guitar with “John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers” was heard and John’s mission in life changed forever.
”After a short time I managed to purchase a second hand Fender Stratocaster Guitar, and my dad actually built my first amplifier. I asked my ex band mates if I could try out as guitarist. I suspect they were highly amused by this but I was in. I couldn’t have been happier!”
John started playing gigs in Perth nightclubs at age 16 which caused a few problems as the legal drinking age in those days was 21!
At age 17 he was surprised when he featured in a national music publication as one of the top Guitar players in Perth along with Peter Walker, a guitarist John much admired from the legendary “Bakery”
Since then Western Australian audiences witnessed the rise of John’s guitar skills in performances and recordings with bands like Fatty Lumpkin and the power trio Saracen.
John had also been taking lessons to learn different playing styles but according to John, Lionel Cranfield [who still owns Zenith Music, a Perth music Institution] gave him classical guitar lessons which was a turning point as far as his technique, discipline skills were concerned. “I was now completely obsessed with playing guitar. Any thoughts of maybe becoming a brain surgeon were laid to rest – music was now my life”.
The next few years were spent touring Australia regularly and making some recordings and honing his skills. During this time several offers from top Australian bands to move to the east coast were rejected. After one tour with Saracen, who were often advertised as being the biggest unsigned crowd-pulling band in the country, John decided to move on.
After relocating to Sydney in 1981, John toured extensively with some of the big names in Australian music including Swanee and Sharon O’Neil before joining Australian legends Rose Tattoo. “Angry Anderson and I had met a few years previously when I played the legendary Bondi Lifesaver in Sydney. Angry was the celebrity DJ that night and after our performance we received a bottle of Jack Daniels backstage along with a message, ‘great gig regards Angry’.”
“A couple of years later I received a call from Angry while he was touring the along with ZZ Top and Aerosmith and he asked “do you have a passport?” Robin Riley, a friend and a great player had just left the band. I was reluctant due to the circumstances and I was already working with Jimmy Barnes’s brother John Swan and his band Swanee.” John had great respect for the great singer, ex ACDC bass player Mark Evans, who was also in the band. “I was really enjoying working with these guys but soon after I met with Angry and Robbie Williams, his manager, and entered a never to be forgotten period of my musical journey.”
Over the next few years John co-wrote many songs with Angry Anderson that appeared on the Southern Stars and Beats Of A Single Drum albums.
John then joined Australia’s premier blues band Chain. “I had been a fan of Chain since day one and regular guitarist Phil Manning was ill so Matt Taylor gave me a call, I had just left Rose Tattoo and was a little undecided about it at first, but once we started the first tour I loved the opportunity to play Blues, although it took a while to play a more subdued style after years of heavy rock. Phil Manning decided not to return to the band so Matt asked me to sign up permanently, well at least for the next 4 years!” Albums recorded during this period include ”Australian Rhythm and Blues” and ”Blue Metal”. John also co-wrote with Matt Taylor for these albums and co-produced “Blue Metal”. John appeared on Matt Taylor’s Solo album, ”Walls to McGoo”, co-writing the track “Adelaide River,” one of his favourite songs.
During this period, Saracen briefly reformed for some sell-out reunion shows. The band also recorded a self-titled album, which although released independently, received some excellent reviews in European music publications.
John recorded his first all instrumental album in 1992 and was rewarded with that year’s West Australian music industry’s Outstanding Album of the Year Award. This album also received The Producers Award for John and Tom Thorpe.
John was awarded Guitarist of the Year and in 1993 and received an award from the West Australian Music Industry Association in recognition of Outstanding Artistic Contribution to the State through Achievement in the Arts.
John then spent time developing his studio and producing/composing music for television advertising and documentaries.
During this time session work for other studios and artists beckoned along with teaching select students.
In 1999 John released an instrumental album The Shaman with jazz/fusion influences to critical acclaim.
In 2003 John was inducted into the West Australian Music Industry’s “Hall of Fame”
November 2004 at the Bridgetown Blues Festival saw the launch of the album John Meyer’s Blues Express featuring Peter Oats on bass guitar and vocals, Ric Eastman on drums and John on guitar.
John Meyer’s Blues Express appeared at The Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn NSW in February 2008 and continued to play select shows including the 2008 Blues At Bridgetown.

COREY TAYLOR Performs Acoustic Cover Of ELVIS COSTELLO's 'What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding' (Video)Video of Corey Taylor's performance during SiriusXM's Octane Home Invasion Festival can be seen below. The SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR singer performed a cover of Elvis Costello's "What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding" as well as an acoustic rendition of his new solo song "Black Eyes Blue".
"Black Eyes Blue" is taken from Taylor's debut solo album, "CMFT", which will be released on October 2 via Roadrunner Records. Taylor recorded the effort with his band consisting of Jason Christopher on bass, Dustin Schoenhofer on drums, and Zach Throne and Christian Martucci (STONE SOUR) on guitar. The LP was completed at Kevin Churko's The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER and STONE SOUR, among others.
"I love what I've done in the past, I love the projects that I've been attached to, but this, honestly, was probably the most enjoyable album that I've done since the first SLIPKNOT album," Corey told Kerrang! magazine. "There was such a sense of, 'We're doing it together.' I hadn't felt anything like that for a really long time, man. People grow apart, relationships become fractious… people stop liking each other sometimes, in certain bands, you know? But with this, it was totally different, because we were all friends before that. We just happened to all play together, and then we formed a band around that friendship, and it all really galvanized it.
"This has definitely made me appreciate making music again, let's put it that way," he added.
On "Black Eyes Blue", Taylor's vocals soar with nostalgia, while on the other new single, "CMFT Must Be Stopped", his rhymes recall his work on SLIPKNOT's debut record and run alongside bulletproof bars from multi-platinum artist Tech N9ne and U.K. MC Kid Bookie. The track is joined by a Djay Brawner-directed music video, which sees Taylor taking the CMFT championship belt as friends such as Marilyn Manson, Lars Ulrich, Rob Halford, Chris Jericho, ZillaKami and more making cameos.
"I was talking to my wife about this the other day — I was, like, 'Fuck! There's nobody for me to hide behind!'" Corey told Kerrang! "It's easy to take risks when you have the benefit of a well-established name — and by that, I mean the bands that I've been in for 20 years. But I also feel like I've earned the right to put something out there and throw people for a loop — not only with the things that I've done with both bands, but the guest spots that I've done with several bands: everybody from TONIGHT ALIVE to Zakk Wylde to Tech N9ne. I mean, I've really spread out, in a cool way. I've never sequestered myself to one corner of the genre; I've never allowed myself to be painted into a corner. And I think because of that, people's minds are a lot more open when they hear that I'm putting something out. They're gonna come into it with this mindset of, 'Okay, I don't know what the fuck I'm about to hear. This should be interesting. I think by doing that, that really sets the tone for your career."
Taylor previously worked with Tech N9ne on a song called "Wither" in 2015, and with Kid Bookie on a reworked version of the rapper's track "Stuck In My Ways" last year.
SLIPKNOT recently canceled all of its previously announced summer 2020 tour dates, including the "Knotfest Roadshow", Knotfest UK and Knotfest At Sea, due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the globe. 1

EVILDEAD was formed in 1987 with the intention to create heavy music in the thrash metal vein. The EVILDEAD sound was unique, highlighting a blend of speed and thrash metal guitar riffs along with hyper drumming locked in with an over-the-top thundering bass with punk overtones and lyrical themes that explored political, thought-provoking social ideas, mixed with horror and nuclear war themes.
In 1988, EVILDEAD signed a worldwide recording contract with SPV/Steamhammer and released the "Rise Above" EP featuring two original tracks, along with a cover version of the BLACK FLAG anthem "Rise Above". In the summer of 1988, EVILDEAD entered Music Grinder recording studios with producer/engineer Cacey McMakin (NUCLEAR ASSAULT, KREATOR) to record the classic full-length album "Annihilation Of Civilization".

QUIET RIOT Bassist CHUCK WRIGHT Taps TESLA, Ex-DREAM THEATER Members For Reimagined Version Of 'The Weight Of Silence'Chuck Wright, longtime member and bassist for QUIET RIOT, as well as MONTROSE, ALICE COOPER, HOUSE OF LORDS, and founder of the award-winning "Ultimate Jam Night", has announced the addition of renowned musicians to his solo single "The Weight Of Silence".
First released in May of 2020, "The Weight Of Silence" quickly gathered praise from listeners and the music community. Among those reaching out to Wright to perform on the song were TESLA drummer Troy Luccketta and distinguished jazz fusion guitarist Alan Hinds. Hinds is best known for his work with Natalie Cole and James Ingram, among others. After hearing of compliments from keyboardist Derek Sherinian (SONS OF APOLLO, DREAM THEATER) through a contact, Wright asked Sherinian if he'd be interested in helping add tracks to a newly reimagined version of the song.
"I was humbled by the response of the general public and my fellow musicians," said Wright. "Once Troy, Alan and Derek came on board for a re-recording, I reached out to Ben Woods, one of today's most acclaimed flamenco guitarists. Ben brings a tremendous pedigree and has done unique rock interpretations with his group HEAVY MELLOW. I thought he'd add a wonderful dynamic alongside these other great talents."
The re-recorded solo effort with Luccketta, Hinds, Sherinian and Woods alongside Wright is again being released via a video depicting the feeling of isolation in an apocalyptic world. Stark images of an empty train journeying to empty cities creates a storyline.
Best known for his work with major touring acts, Wright has also been involved with over 100 recording projects throughout his stellar career. The single highlights his musical versatility, producing talent, and video editing capability.
Originally released on YouTube, "The Weight Of Silence" is now available via multiple streaming services.
Wright has been a part of QUIET RIOT, on and off, since 1982, having initially been involved in the "Metal Health" recordings (he played bass on the tracks "Metal Health" and "Don't Wanna Let You Go").
QUIET RIOT's latest studio album, "Hollywood Cowboys", came out in November via Frontiers Music Srl.

OZZY OSBOURNE To Release 40th-Anniversary Expanded Digital Edition Of 'Blizzard Of Ozz'Ozzy Osbourne kicked off 2020 with his critically acclaimed No. 1 rock album "Ordinary Man" — his first new solo album in ten years — and a planned return to the road. And then came the pandemic. Now, fans of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter can enjoy a variety of projects celebrating his legacy this fall. First up was the September 7 premiere of A&E Network's "Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne". He'll also wrap the year by releasing the 40th-anniversary expanded digital edition of his landmark debut album "Blizzard Of Ozz" and digital versions of two classic longform videos, "Live & Loud" and "Live At Budokan".
Initially released on September 20, 1980 in the U.K., "Blizzard Of Ozz" marked Ozzy's debut studio album, following his departure from BLACK SABBATH. The expanded digital 40th-anniversary edition is set for release September 18 on Sony/Legacy. The new package includes Ozzy hits "Crazy Train", which will hit certified five-times-platinum status to coincide with its September release date; the gold-certified (in four countries) "Mr. Crowley" (both of which feature Randy Rhoads on guitar); along with "Suicide Solution", plus live versions of seven tracks that are currently unavailable digitally. The record was ultimately certified five times platinum and was ranked No. 9 on Rolling Stone's list of "100 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time" in the U.S.; platinum (or multi-platinum) in another 12 countries and gold in an additional 13 countries. "Blizzard Of Ozz" was the first of two studio albums recorded with guitarist Randy Rhoads. The album's "Crazy Train" went on to become one of Osbourne's signature tracks; the song has also become one of the most played sports anthems frequently heard at NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL games. It peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's Top Tracks chart upon release — and in 2009, the song achieved a five-times-platinum certification. The live tracks — "I Don't Know", "Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley", "Revelation (Mother Earth)", "Steal Away (The Night)" and "Suicide Solution" — were recorded on the "Blizzard Of Ozz" tour and were previously found only in the "Blizzard Of Ozz"/"Diary Of A Madman" 30th-anniversary deluxe box set. "You Said It All" (live) was originally found on the 1980 "Mr. Crowley" live EP, recorded in 1980 at the Gaumont Theater, Southampton, U.K. and was also not previously available digitally.
Next up are two digital releases of two classic Ozzy video releases: "Live & Loud" and "Live At Budokan". The "Live & Loud" home video — originally released on June 28, 1993 — was issued alongside the CD. The collection is a compilation of live footage from several shows rather than a single concert. The "Live & Loud" DVD includes guest appearances from Ozzy's BLACK SABBATH bandmates (Geezer Butler, bass; Bill Ward, drums; and Tony Iommi, guitar), along with his own band from that era (Michael Inez, bass; Randy Castillo, drums; Zakk Wylde, guitar; and Kevin Jones, keyboards). The "Live At Budokan" DVD — released June 25, 2002 — was shot earlier that year as part of the 2002 world tour. It features the song "Suicide Solution" and Zakk Wylde's accompanying guitar solo. Running in excess of 13 minutes, this track was cut from the CD version because of time restraints. Ozzy is backed by his 2002 touring band on "Live At Budokan" DVD: Zakk Wylde, guitars; Robert Trujillo, bass; Mike Bordin, drums; and John Sinclair, keyboards.
The 40th-anniversary edition of "Blizzard Of Ozz" track listing is as follows:
01. I Don't Know
02. Crazy Train
03. Goodbye To Romance
04. Dee
05. Suicide Solution
06. Mr. Crowley
07. No Bone Movies
08. Revelation (Mother Earth)
09. Steal Away (The Night)
10. You Looking At Me, Looking At You (current bonus track - originally the b-side to "Crazy Train")
11. Goodbye To Romance [2010 Guitar & Vocal Mix] (current bonus track)
12. RR [Outtake from "Blizzard Of Ozz" Sessions] (current bonus track)

Rex", on last night's (Thursday, September 10) episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden". You can watch video of the performance below.
"Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan And T. Rex" was released on September 4 via BMG. On the album, Jett delivers a stunning tribute to her teenage idol, harkening back to her formative years on the Sunset Strip absorbing everything Bolan and T. REX had to offer. For her reimagining of the standout track from the 2020 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee's chart-topping "Electric Warrior" album, Jett is joined by a group of luminaries, including Marc Ribot on guitar, Jim White (PJ HARVEY, CAT POWER) on drums, Thomas Bartlett arranging and on piano (THE NATIONAL, SUFJAN STEVENS) and production by the late Hal Willner.
Marc Bolan was a folk pop troubadour, glam rock's metal guru, a pop star who burned as bright as any, a brilliant guitarist, style icon and poet. He has been famously cited as a major influence by some of the biggest names in music, from David Bowie to Johnny Marr. He died in 1977 aged just 29, after a car crash in London.
JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS were scheduled to embark on "The Stadium Tour" this summer with MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD and POISON, but the trek has been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.

THE DOORS' ROBBY KRIEGER Releases 'The Hitch' Performance VideoRobby Krieger has released a performance video for his song "The Hitch". The track is taken from the legendary guitarist and songwriter of THE DOORS and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee's his first solo album in 10 years, "The Ritual Begins At Sundown", which came out on August 14. The LP was made available via his new home at The Players Club, a division of the Mascot Label Group.
THE DOORS weren't just one of the most iconic bands of their generation, but one of the most influential bands in rock history and Robby Krieger was responsible for writing some of their biggest hits in "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Touch Me" and "Love Her Madly".
Krieger returns for his ninth solo album and his first since 2010's Grammy-nominated "Singularity", and once again with his longtime writing partner and co-producer Arthur Barrow. Barrow worked with Frank Zappa through the 1970s and 1980s as well as with Giorgio Moroder, Joe Cocker, Diana Ross and Janet Jackson and worked on soundtracks for "Top Gun" and "Scarface". The album also features other Zappa alumnus Jock Ellis (trombone), Sal Marquez (trumpet) and Tommy Mars (keys) as well as AeB Bryne (flute), Vince Denim (sax), Chuck Manning (sax), Joel Wackerman (drums) and Joel Taylor (drums).
"I was hanging out with my buddy Arthur Barrow and we had some songs we had been fooling around with then we got some other friends involved," Krieger explains when talking about how the album came together.
The legacy of THE DOORS is enormous and a testament to this is the number of awards and accolades that have come their way; Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Library Of Congress selected their debut for inclusion in the National Recording Registry based on its cultural, artistic and historical significance. As of 2017, Los Angeles city council has given them their own day, "The Day Of The Doors", every year. There was even a Hollywood biopic, directed by Oliver Stone on them.
Not many musicians can claim to have performed beside a huge variety of other artists from a visibly excited Lady Gaga like Krieger did in December last year, he was joined by Miley Cyrus live this February, had Marilyn Manson who is a huge fan join him on stage, as well as being asked to guest with everyone from THE RAMONES to John Mayer, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS to CREED and ALICE IN CHAINS to Alice Cooper. Elsewhere other acts to be influenced by THE DOORS includes JOY DIVISION, Iggy Pop, THE STROKES, Mazzy Star and not to mention ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, who did an iconic version of "People Are Strange" for the "Lost Boys" (1987) movie.
So ingrained into popular culture is his music that it has also been sampled from everyone from Jay-Z to Chase and Status, Snoop Dogg to Orbital and Fatboy Slim, he even collaborated with Skrillex. Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp invited Krieger in to work on their debut HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES album, whilst Depp also narrated the Grammy-winning documentary on THE DOORS "When You're Strange" and Krieger appeared in the FOO FIGHTERS "Sonic Highways" documentary. Generation after generation has been inspired.
"The Ritual Begins At Sundown" is a 10-song instrumental record which was recorded at Robby's own Horse Latitudes Studio in Los Angeles and features nine originals and one cover, the Frank Zappa song "Chunga's Revenge", which has a worthy place in the track listing with the incredible Zappa musicians on the album.
The album really is a return to friends, with Robby's relationship with Barrow and Sal Marquez dating all the way back to his first solo album.
"After THE DOORS, I started becoming interested in jazz and started hanging out with a guy called Sal Marquez," he says. "So we put this band together and that was the first Robby Krieger band and we played at the Whiskey A Go Go with Don Preston, Zappa's keyboard player. Arthur Barrow who was a huge Zappa fan — this was before he worked with Frank — he decided that, after graduating from North Texas State music school that he was gonna come out to L.A. and try to get into Frank's band, which was pretty brash of him," he laughs. "He started hanging out with Don and with Zappa, Don was in my band so we decided to put Arthur in charge of the mixing at the Whiskey for our shows, that's when I first met him in the '70s."

MARTY FRIEDMAN: More 'Tokyo Jukebox 3' Details RevealedFormer MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman will release his new solo album, Tokyo Jukebox 3", in Japan on October 21. According to Billboard, the LP features Marty's cover versions of a wide variety of pop songs, including such contemporary numbers as LiSA's "Gurenge" and OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM's "Shukumei", along with DA PUMP's dance track "U.S.A.", END OF THE WORLD's ballad "Sazanka", and the vocaloid hit "Senbonzakura Feat. Hatsune Miku". Some throwback J-pop hits from the '90s are included on the set as well, such as ZARD's "Makenaide" and EVERY LITTLE THING's "Time Goes By".
Marty revealed the LP cover artwork via his social media in late August, and he included the following message: "Just like everyone, I've had a real tough time dealing with 2020. We all suffered from a massive lack of fun this year, so I made it my mission to make feel-good, serotonin-level-raising music of the highest order, stuff that will hopefully kick you all in the feels, and hard.
"Making the album during a pandemic had its hellish challenges, but everyone is facing hardships now, so I was just thankful to have such cathartic work to do.
"Guitar fans will notice, and hopefully enjoy, some pretty cool updates to my guitar sounds. I've discovered that when you take off all spatial effects like reverbs and delays, your solo expressions can often live and breathe more, and have an urgency and unique attack to them, that I'm really digging."
Several weeks ago, Friedman told Bob Nalbandian of the "Shockwaves/HardRadio" podcast that he was putting the finishing touches on his new solo album. Asked what fans can expect to hear on the follow-up to 2017's "Wall Of Sound", Marty said: "Any record that I do, as you know, as everybody who listens to my stuff knows, it's gonna be — at least in my opinion — one step further, deeper, more, above, whatever it is; just a new step farther ahead, advanced — just something I've never done before. And I've had the luxury of much more time and much more of other people's time as well.
"Usually, it's really hard to track down and nail down members and studio people," he explained. "You really wanna have your 'A team,' but sometimes the 'A team' is very busy. But now it's been a lot easier to get people on board who are usually really, really busy, so scheduling has been just a breeze. And [I] love that."
Released in Japan in 2009 and 2011, respectively, "Tokyo Jukebox" and "Tokyo Jukebox 2" — the ninth and eleventh chapters in Friedman's influential solo discography — featured energetic instrumental covers of Japanese pop (J-Pop) songs that can be enjoyed by anyone with a sweet tooth for melody, and captured Friedman's passion for the music of his adopted home country — although, as he warned in the liner notes, "I took the liberty of destroying and reconstructing them my own way."
Featuring Jeremy Colson (STEVE VAI, BILLY IDOL) on drums, "Tokyo Jukebox" featured reconstructed covers of J-Pop and J-Rock hits selected by readers of Japan's top entertainment magazine. "Tokyo Jukebox 2", meanwhile, was recorded in Los Angeles at The Village (AEROSMITH, KISS), and featured guest performances by Jason Bittner (OVERKILL, SHADOWS FALL) and Keshav Dhar (SKYHARBOR). The albums featured tracks originally performed by acclaimed Japanese acts such as MR. CHILDREN, SMAP, PERFUME and MAXIMUM THE HORMONE.
As previously reported, Marty's long-awaited documentary, titled "Spacefox", will tentatively arrive in 2021. The film, which is being directed by Jeremy Frindel, the founder of Substratum Films, follows Friedman's reinvention from lead guitarist in MEGADETH to one of the most famous TV personalities in Japan.
This past June, Friedman released a "Home Jams" version of his song "Self Pollution", which originally appeared on "Wall Of Sound". The new rendition of the song features Friedman, along with his longtime bandmates Kiyoshi (bass) and Jordan Ziff (guitar), plus Anup Sastry (drums). The split-screen video was filmed in Tokyo, Osaka, Phoenix and Baltimore, with each musician separated in his or her home.
Friedman's latest record, "One Bad M.F. Live!!", came out in October 2018. The album was recorded in Mexico City on April 14, 2018 during the final concert of Friedman's world tour in support of "Wall Of Sound".
"Wall Of Sound" was released in August 2017 via Prosthetic Records.
Alright my friends—today the release of TOKYO JUKEBOX 3 was announced in Japan!
This is the album cover-

POWERMAN 5000 Releases Music Video For 'Strange People Doing Strange Things'POWERMAN 5000 singer/creative mastermind Spider One has made a new video for the primally creepy "Strange People Doing Strange Things" track from the band's brand new album, "The Noble Rot". Unlike anything this multi-talented frontman has created, Spider's video is a wild rollercoaster of Don Hertzfeldtian minimalist doodles mixed with David Cronenberg-inspired body horror and sprinkled with pop culture references aplenty including sci-fi heroes, classic movie monsters, kooky aliens, droogish film icons, and one intrepid little housefly. This monumental undertaking was accomplished with nearly 3,000 separate drawings and took many months to complete.
Spider stated about the video: "I'd like to say making this video was a labor of love but it really was a test of my own sanity. What started out as some simple 'follow the bouncing ball' animation ended up being a challenge to see if I could actually finish this thing. Just shy of three thousand drawings later, it is what it is. Next time I attempt an animated video, I will choose a shorter song!"
In early June, POWERMAN 5000 released a music video for the first single from "The Noble Rot", the goth club-inspired "Black Lipstick". The song is a loving homage to dark 1980s music like DEPECHE MODE, THE CURE and SIOUXSIE SIOUX, heavy on atmosphere and bass with frontman Spider One sneering melodically of a fly-by-night romantic encounter.
In May, POWERMAN 5000 released its reimagining of the classic '80s new wave smash "We Got The Beat". "We Got The Beat" was originally released in 1981 as part of THE GO-GO'S' multi-platinum debut album "Beauty And The Beat".
POWERMAN 5000's previous album, "New Wave", was released in October 2017 via Pavement Entertainment.
Last year, POWERMAN 5000 celebrated the 20th anniversary of its most successful album, "Tonight The Stars Revolt!", by embarking on a U.S. tour.
"Tonight The Stars Revolt!", POWERMAN 5000's second album, was released on July 20, 1999 by DreamWorks Records. It has sold over one million copies and achieved platinum status on the back of such hits as "Nobody's Real" and "When Worlds Collide".

WHITESNAKE And WINGER Guitarist REB BEACH To Release 'A View From The Inside' Solo Album In NovemberWHITESNAKE and WINGER guitarist Reb Beach will release his long-in-the-works instrumental solo album, "A View From The Inside", on November 6 via Frontiers Music Srl. The official music video for the disc's first single, "Infinito 1122", can be seen below.
"A View From The Inside" is described in a press release as "an album that showcases the dynamic talents of the guitar virtuoso, hard rock fans will be transported back to the days when giants like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani dominated the mainstream consciousness (and airwaves), while also simultaneously being shown a guitarist ever pushing himself forward into the future."
Beach is one of the indisputable guitar giants of the current hard rock scene. His resume with '80s/'90s mega-stars WINGER alone would earn him this distinction, but his legacy is cemented by his current membership and work with the legendary WHITESNAKE, his past efforts with DOKKEN, and his recent release with supergroup BLACK SWAN, also featuring Jeff Pilson, Robin MacAuley and Matt Starr.
Influenced by the legendary hard rockers of the '70s, Reb spent his teen years jamming along with the greats of that era like AEROSMITH and MONTROSE, but it was when he discovered more progressive players like Steve Morse, Allan Holdsworth and Larry Carlton that his musical world really opened up. The complexity and the speed of the more prog style of playing was a unique challenge compared to the blues-based playing of most musicians of that era. The discovery of these players was ultimately the catalyst that drove his playing to the level he is now so well known to music fans the world over for. Beach eventually graduated from his home practice space to the Berklee College Of Music, but after a couple of semesters he moved on and soon became one of the most sought-after session players in the music industry, working with such all-time great talents as Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Roger Daltrey, Chaka Kahn, Howard Jones and TWISTED SISTER.
While living in New York City, Reb hooked up with his future bandmate, bassist and frontman Kip Winger. Reb and Kip formed the band WINGER and the rest is history. The two proved to be incredible writing partners, crafting multiple platinum records that featured no less than six Top 40 singles. with music that was commercial yet complex.
After WINGER went on a hiatus in the '90s, Beach's career continued thanks to collaborations with Alice Cooper, DOKKEN and NIGHT RANGER, and he debuted as a solo artist in 2002 with the album "Masquerade".
Following the WINGER reunion in the '00s, Reb heard that David Coverdale was looking for a new guitarist for WHITESNAKE. He reached out to him and since 2003, Reb has toured the world with the band as well as released multiple albums with them, including "Good To Be Bad", "Forevermore", "The Purple Album" and the recent "Flesh & Blood", plus a number of live albums.
Beach's first instrumental album is not a mere exercise of self-indulgence. It is the culmination of over 30 years of study and extremely hard work on his craft. Fans of Steve Morse and Joe Satriani will find a lot to love in the 11 songs on offer here, but while there is certainly a lot of ear candy for the musician types, fans of hard rock in general will find a wealth of melodies and transcendent moments where the songs simply make you forget there are no vocals.
"A View From The Inside" track listing:
01. Black Magic
02. Little Robots
03. Aurora Borealis
04. Infinito 1122
05. Attack Of The Massive

08. Hawkdance

Watch KID ROCK Perform At DONALD TRUMP Rally In MichiganKid Rock joined President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., at a Michigan event to promote the president's re-election campaign Monday (September 14). The "Make America Great Again" event, which was held at Bumpers Landing Boat Club in Harrison Township, also featured Kimberly Guilfoyle, Trump Jr.'s girlfriend who serves as the president's senior advisor.
According to Detroit Free Press, Kid Rock performed a four-song set for the mostly maskless crowd of several thousand, with face coverings predominantly worn by some older attendees.
"If you believe in the leadership of Donald Trump, that you live and will always live and support, stand for the greatest country in the world, make some damn noise," Kid addressed the audience at one point during his set, which included renditions of the songs "So Hott", "Cowboy", "All Summer Long" and "Born Free".
Earlier in the day, Kid Rock revealed in an Instagram post that he received two steroid shots to to help him deal with ongoing "neck issues." He wrote: "Would make sense to cancel my appearance, but NO WAY! I will be there and will give it everything I have this evening. That is how important getting POTUS re-elected is too me and I could care less about the continuous attacks from the left wing media, etc, that have been going on for over 4 years now. It's the reason I have turned down countless interviews and TV appearances as I refuse to be their click bait."
Rock had reportedly flown in from Nashville earlier Monday, accompanied by a film crew shooting an upcoming career documentary.
This past January, Kid Rock posed for a photo at Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida, with Donald Trump Jr. The musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was wearing a t-shirt mocking House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who helped lead both House Democrats' impeachment inquiry and the House intelligence committee's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Back in 2016, Kid Rock showed his support for the president by selling a line of Trump-themed T-shirts. Among them was a shirt that Rock was photographed wearing, on which states that voted red were labeled "The United States of America" and states that went blue were called "Dumbfuckistan." Another shirt said "God, Guns And Trump," while a third read "_onald Trump: The 'D' is missing because it's in every hater's mouth."
Rock first announced his support for Trump in early 2016, telling Rolling Stone: "I'm digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary or Bernie, or you get Rubio or Cruz or whoever, there's going to be the same shit... My feeling: let the motherfucking business guy run it like a fucking business. And his campaign has been entertaining as shit."
Rock, who generally leans to the right, also supported Mitt Romney in 2012.

ALTER BRIDGE's 'Walk The Sky 2.0' EP To Include New Song 'Last Rites'Since the band announced the cancellation of its entire 2020 touring schedule, ALTER BRIDGE has taken time to do what they are known best for — creating. Never a band to take a lot of personal time off, the band reviewed live recordings from their shows in January/February 2020 to pick a few of its live favorites of songs from its latest album, "Walk The Sky". This led bandmembers Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips to begin sharing ideas for a new studio song. Those collective ideas would yield an original track titled "Last Rites" — a track written, recorded and completed entirely during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The final version of "Last Rites", along with live versions of "Wouldn't You Rather", "Pay No Mind", "Native Son", "Godspeed", "In The Deep" and "Dying Light", will form a new seven-song EP, "Walk The Sky 2.0", out November 6 via Napalm Records.
In other news, ALTER BRIDGE has released the official music video for the latest single from "Walk The Sky", titled "Native Son", which has racked up over five million worldwide streams to date, and is currently impacting at radio. The Stefano Bertelli-created clip — an animated short created completely using stop-animation techniques and incorporating origami to create a unique visual effect — starts by following a dark figure set in a prairie farmland setting. The viewer finds the character struggling to survive as that backdrop then morphs and gives way to industrialization and a city overtaking the original landscape. The visuals echo the lyrical sentiment: "I'm a native son in a foreign land. I'm just living in a world I can't understand."
"Walk The Sky 2.0" track listing:
01. Last Rites
02. Wouldn't You Rather (Live)
03. Pay No Mind (Live)
04. Native Son (Live)
05. Godspeed (Live)
06. In The Deep (Live)
07. Dying Light (Live)
"Walk The Sky 2.0" will be available in the following formats:
* Jewelcase CD
* Jewelcase CD + Shirt (Napalm Records Mailorder only, ex-North America)
* Cream Vinyl LP Gatefold
* Inkspot Yellow/Black Marbled Vinyl LP Gatefold (Napalm Records Mailorder only, limited to 150 copies in North America)
* 2-CD Earbook [+Walk The Sky] (Napalm Records Mailorder only, limited to 300 copies)
* Digital Album [+Walk The Sky]
* Inkspot Yellow/Black Marbled Vinyl LP Gatefold
"Walk The Sky" was released last October via Napalm Records.

FU MANCHU Pays Tribute To RUSH's NEIL PEART With 'Working Man' CoverCalifornian heavy rock veterans FU MANCHU have paid tribute to late RUSH drummer Neil Peart by releasing their cover version of the Canadian power trio's classic song "Working Man". All sales proceeds from the track, which was recorded in January, will be donated to brain tumor research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Peart's memory.
FU MANCHU said in a statement: "Members of our band and our manager were in the audience on August 1, 2015 when this was the final song played by Neil, Geddy [Lee] and Alex [Lifeson]. We are forever grateful for all of the music and memories.
"Thanks to Carl Saff for donating his mastering services and to David Medel for donating his art services. Thanks to Jim Monroe for the studio time, engineering & mixing hook up. Thanks to Meg and everyone in the RUSH family. Thanks to John Raso for going the extra mile to help us get this out.

FU MANCHU's 2018 album, "Clone Of The Universe", featured a guest appearance by RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson on the 18-minute closing track "Il Mostro Atomico".
FU MANCHU's legacy can be traced back to the early days of the desert rock scene and shows on the pier where psychedelic and metal collided with punk and hardcore. Performing on sandy desert stages, massive European festivals and headlining tours, FU MANCHU carved out their own niche among the bands with their unique style of punk-infused heavy rock. Over the next three decades, the band went on to release 12 critically acclaimed albums, including "No One Rides For Free" (1994), "The Action Is Go" (1997) and its most recent release, the aforementioned "Clone Of The Universe".
FU MANCHU is Scott Hill (vocals, guitar), Bob Balch (lead guitar), Brad Davis (bass) and Scott Reeder (drums).
