AEROSMITH has shared more video footage from the rehearsal sessions for its "Deuces Are Wild" Las Vegas residency.

The legendary rockers recently announced 17 additional dates for their headlining residency at Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort. America's all-time top-selling rock 'n' roll band will launch "Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild" on Saturday, April 6.

AEROSMITH's Las Vegas residency, promoted by Live Nation and MGM Resorts International, will bring you face to face with America's greatest rock 'n' roll band in one of the most immersive, state-of-the art audio and video technology experiences in Las Vegas. The show features never-seen-before visuals and audio from AEROSMITH recording sessions. Grammy Award-winning producer Giles Martin, known for creating the soundscape for "The Beatles Love" by Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas, will create a spectacular show experience.

AEROSMITH has teamed up with THX and L-Acoustics for their upcoming breakthrough residency at Park Theater to deliver the world's first THX Certified live performance presented in L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound.

AEROSMITH officially formed in Boston in 1970 and last performed in February at Steven Tyler's second annual Grammy Awards Viewing Party to benefit Janie's Fund.

In 2017, AEROSMITH announced a run of dates called "Aero-Vederci Baby!", but stopped short of calling it a final tour.

AEROSMITH hasn't released a new studio album since 2012's "Music From Another Dimension!"

Watch Third Episode Of ALICE IN CHAINS' 'Black Antenna' Movie Project

Watch Third Episode Of ALICE IN CHAINS' 'Black Antenna' Movie Project

ALICE IN CHAINS has released the third episode of "Black Antenna", a dark sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of the band's Grammy-nominated album "Rainier Fog" (BMG). Further episodes will be released throughout the coming months.

The dramatic films come ahead of the band's highly anticipated European tour in May and June, which starts with arena shows in London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

"Black Antenna" tells the story of Alpha (played by "Green Book" actor Paul Sloan) and his 21-year-old daughter, Beta (Viktoriya Dov), who drive their beat-up truck across California in silence, speaking only telepathically. Together they rob and steal from the men the girl seduces, taking phones, laptops and whatever they can find.

Alpha is trying to build something — an antenna — desperately trying to find a way to get a message to their people back home. Meanwhile there are unspeakably dark forces who have discovered their existence and are now hell-bent on tracking them down and eradicating them before more of their kind can come and join them.

"Black Antenna" was directed by Adam Mason, written by Paul Sloan and Adam Mason and produced by Elizabeth Mason and Nick Vallelonga, who recently won two Oscars ("Best Original Screenplay" and "Best Picture") for "Green Book".

"This movie came out of nowhere for me," says Mason. "As soon as I heard the album, the music and lyrics spoke to me on a profoundly personal level and the film and subject matter was born directly out of that. I've always been a huge fan of ALICE IN CHAINS, and this has been a dream come true for me. 'Black Antenna' is a perfect synergy of the band's lyrics, and 'Black Antenna' paints a dark and beautiful canvas of the deeply conflicted world we live in today."

The release comes ahead of ALICE IN CHAINS' European tour this summer, which sees them play numerous dates and festivals including three arena shows in the U.K., starting at Glasgow's Braehead Arena on May 23 before a show at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on May 24, and ending with a date at London's Wembley Arena on May 25. The shows will be the biggest headline shows the band have played to date in the U.K.

ALICE IN CHAINS is touring in support of its latest album, "Rainier Fog", which became the group's first Top 10 U.K. album, hit No.1 across Billboard's Rock, Alternative and Hard Music charts and the iTunes Rock Album chart, and earned the band a ninth Grammy nod for "Best Rock Album."

STATIC-X Explains Decision To Enlist Mask-Wearing Touring Vocalist

STATIC-X Explains Decision To Enlist Mask-Wearing Touring Vocalist

STATIC-X has explained its decision to enlist a vocalist who will wear a mask in the likeness of late frontman Wayne Static during the band's upcoming reunion tour.

The North American trek, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of STATIC-X's platinum-certified "Wisconsin Death Trip" album and pays homage to Static, features co-headliner DEVILDRIVER and support from DOPE.

While the identity of STATIC-X's touring singer has not been officially revealed, strong rumors suggest that DOPE frontman Edsel Dope will pull double duty during the trek and perform with drummer Ken Jay, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and bassist Tony Campos.

On April 2, Jay, Fukuda and Campos released a statement in which they addressed the criticism they received from some STATIC-X fans who were seemingly offended by what they perceived to be a cheap attempt to present the band's new singer as a pale imitation of Wayne.

They wrote: "After releasing our latest teaser, we noticed that some of you are curious about how we came to our decision regarding the mask and the visual presentation of our touring vocalist. In the end, the answer is pretty simple.

"As many of you know, Tony came across some unfinished studio sessions, featuring Wayne's final works last year. He eventually enlisted the original 'Wisconsin Death Trip' band, along with our original producer Ulrich Wild, to help finish the recordings and complete what will be a brand new STATIC-X album titled 'Project Regeneration'. The album is turning out to be something very special and we look forward to sharing more with you all very soon.

"The response to the album announcement was incredible and the 20th-anniversary 'Wisconsin Death Trip' tour / memorial to Wayne Static was announced a few short months later…

"Let us begin by restating the obvious. This is the 'Wisconsin Death Trip' 20th-anniversary tour. Therefore, these events are 100% about nostalgia for everyone involved. This was not about setting the tone for the future or about putting a new face to the band or establishing a new identity for STATIC-X. This is about experiencing the vibes of an old-school STATIC-X show 'live and loud' 20 years later, while we honor our dear friend Wayne Static.

"The search for a touring vocalist for STATIC-X was not an easy one. First, we wanted to keep the continuity that STATIC-X has always had on stage. It has always been four guys. Drummer, guitarist, bassist and a singer who also plays guitar. In addition, we wanted to select someone that we had familiarity with. Someone who knew us and someone who knew Wayne and someone who had a connection to our community. Someone who would take this personally, because this is very personal to all of us.

"Once we found our guy, we began to discuss the stage show and the visual presentation for the tour. In the end, it was actually our touring vocalist who suggested that he wear a mask on stage. Out of respect for Wayne and for the band, he didn't feel that it would be right for his own image or identity to be placed in the center of something that he had nothing to do with creating. This struck the three of us as an incredibly selfless and humble gesture.

"The truth is, he could have been very self-serving and looked at this as an opportunity for him to raise his own profile and to put his name and face out there for all of you to see. Instead, he expressed the exact opposite intentions. He also explained that the idea of wearing a mask would allow him the freedom to get lost in the vibe of STATIC-X and to completely disconnect from his own identity and ultimately serve STATIC-X better. Further, he expressed that the mask itself, along with his performance each night could act as a unique part of the memorial to Wayne. A tribute, for lack of better words.

"Before we moved forward with any of our creative decisions, we first shared our ideas and designs with Wayne's family. They have given us their full support every step of the way.

"Let us also acknowledge that Wayne was much more to STATIC-X than our talented vocalist and guitarist. His trademark static-electrified hair proved to be just as unique and identifiable to STATIC-X as his incredible voice. In time, the STATIC-X hair would become a signature part of the band's identity as well as its identifiability.

"The mask was already something that was decided on, so the hair just naturally followed…

"All of this has allowed us to channel the vibe and the spirit of STATIC-X through another vocalist, without taking any of the focus away from the four people who originally created STATIC-X and brought you 'Wisconsin Death Trip' 20 years ago.

"The motivation is simple and the result is undeniable… The mask, the hair, and the overall presentation we have chosen immediately makes you think of Wayne Static and STATIC-X. In the end, that is ALL that this is about.

"This is about STATIC-X. This is about the 20th anniversary of 'Wisconsin Death Trip', and the nightly / global memorial to our brother Wayne Static. Anyone who doesn't 'get it' is just not looking closely enough.

"We OBVIOUSLY wish that Wayne was here doing this with us. Ufortunately, that is not an option. Rather than putting someone else's face in his place for our 20th-anniversary tour, we have chosen to memorialize him and to ultimately to immortalize him. In our hearts, there is no greater display of respect than what we are doing.

"We were never interested in performing with a hologram and using pre-recorded vocals. We didn't feel that STATIC-X performing with a 'special guest' singer that everyone recognized would accomplish the 'Wisconsin Death Trip' vibe or experience.

"For us, this is all materializing better than we could have hoped and we have no doubts that we are gong to to bring the fans an amazing 'Wisconsin Death Trip' experience. The stage production is insane and the band is sounding legit as fuck!

"In closing, we know that Wayne would be honored by all of the love and effort that has gone into this. We know that Wayne will be with us each night, in spirit, as we celebrate 'Wisconsin Death Trip' around the world.

"We are very excited to get out there and celebrate with you all very soon."

STATIC-X plans to perform the majority of its debut album at each show.

"Project Regeneration", featuring the last recordings of Static, will be released later this year. The rest of the group's original lineup will also be featured on the album and in the music videos.

STATIC-X is currently focused on finishing 12 tracks for "Project Regeneration", with more than half of them set to feature Wayne's lead vocals.

STATIC-X is in the process of finalizing a label partner in order to ensure that "Project Regeneration" will be promoted and distributed worldwide, just like all of the band's previous albums.

Last fall, STATIC-X released a teaser featuring clips from a brand-new music video, as well as five new STATIC-X tracks — "Road To Hell", "Something Of My Own", "Terminator Oscillator", "Hollow" and "Disco Otsego" — along with a personal message from Campos about the inspiration behind "Project Regeneration".

Wayne Static died in November 2014 after mixing Xanax and other powerful prescription drugs with alcohol, according to the coroner's report. The 48-year-old, whose real name was Wayne Richard Wells, was found dead in his Landers, California home.

Static founded STATIC-X in 1994 and achieved commercial success with "Wisconsin Death Trip", which included the rock radio hit "Push It".

The group issued five more studio albums before disbanding permanently in June 2013. Static had been pursuing a solo career at the time of his death.

A message directly from the band…

Thank you again for the overwhelming response to our new album and the WDT 20th...Posted by Static-X on Tuesday, April 2, 2019

An instrumental snippet of a brand new DRAGONFORCE song was recently accidentally leaked during guitarist Herman Li's Twitch livestream. You can now check out the tune below.

DRAGONFORCE has spent the last few months recording its eighth album with producer Damien Rainaud (FEAR FACTORY, ONCE HUMAN). The disc is tentatively due out before the end of the year via Metal Blade Records in the USA.

Li commented: "We're really excited to be recording again after finishing one of our biggest tour cycles ever. The new album will have a lot of surprises that both old and new fans will really enjoy."

DRAGONFORCE's latest album, "Reaching Into Infinity", was released in May 2017 via earMUSIC on CD, LP and a special-edition CD and DVD. MUSHROOMHEAD Signs With NAPALM RECORDS

MUSHROOMHEAD Signs With NAPALM RECORDS

Veteran Cleveland, Ohio metallers MUSHROOMHEAD have signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records.

MUSHROOMHEAD is one of the most unique and adventurous alternative metal bands working today. Known for its stunningly theatrical live show and artsy masks, this innovative group has forged new ground in the rock world and influenced many other bands to push the envelope and bring art into rock. Formed in the early 1990s, the band's combination of metal, rock and atmospheric elements has struck a chord with thousands of fans worldwide.

MUSHROOMHEAD drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton said in a statement: "We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Napalm roster. None of this would be possible without all of the support we've received over the last 25 years. To the ALL the bandmembers, the road crews, the labels, our families, our friends and our fans… thank you all."

Napalm Records CEO Thomas Caser comments: "They are one of the most exciting acts in the metal world. The conceptual MUSHROOMHEAD, who've always had their finger on the pulse, will shock the world with their upcoming releases and tours. We are extremely proud to partner with this incredible act."

MUSHROOMHEAD's upcoming album will be the band's first since the March 2018 departures of longtime vocalist Jeff "Jeffrey Nothing" Hatrix and guitarist Tommy Church.

Church made his recording debut with MUSHROOMHEAD on the band's eighth studio album, "The Righteous & The Butterfly", which was released in May 2014 via Megaforce Records.

Felton told the Waterloo, Iowa radio station Rock 108 about the effect of MUSHROOMHEAD's latest lineup changes: "It's always cool to do new things with new people and not necessarily know what you're going to get. This will be MUSHROOMHEAD's eighth album, so I definitely don't want it to sound like everyone expects. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more experimenting. The unknown is really cool.

"As we write, we're creating stuff that we've never heard or felt before," he explained. "It's really, really awesome. In the long run, everything always ends up really dark. Everything's always creepy. Everything's always got some sort of sound design element to it that's not your traditional guitar lick or keyboard sound — there's something odd about it. The creepiness is never going to go away."

He added: "As far as the live show, it's super high-impact, high-energy. We're playing stuff that we haven't played in a while, and it feels really good to get out and get back to our roots."

MYRATH Release Live "Born To Survive" Video

MYRATH Release Live "Born To Survive" Video

Myrath have premiered the live video for "Born To Survive". The song appears on the power prog band's new album Shehili, out May 3rd via earMusic. "Born To Survive" is especially dear to the band's heart, and is an elegant fusion of powerful melodies with exceptional lyrics. With heavy rhythm and Andalusian influences, it's the best execution of the band's patented 'Blazing Desert Metal' sound.

This striking live video was taken from the band's performance at the legendary Carthage Amphitheatre, a magical venue located in Myrath's home region of Tunisia. The band performed in front of 7,000 enthusiastic fans, making it one of the most impactful moments in Myrath's career so far.

Myrath's heritage and willingness to infuse their influences with the historic music of their homeland is what sets them apart. The sounds of Tunisia are that of Arabic and Asian folk music, which can be readily heard in the rhythms, segues, and choruses of Myrath's compositions.

Their last album Legacy (2016) received international acclaim and contained the brilliant and, until now, their most successful song, "Believer." The video racked up more than 10 million views on YouTube.

Shehili is innovative, yet loyal to the band's signature sound. It establishes contrasts between uplifting melodies and thoughtful, and, at times, heartbreaking lyrics. The best example of this duality can be found in Shehili's first single "Dance," the video of which was a sequel to "Believer." The "Dance" video tallied more than a million views in the first five weeks of release.

As singer Zaher Zorgati says, "The purpose of our music is to induce happiness and joy, to pay tribute to those who refuse to fall or to stop hoping, even in a world filled with hatred and uncertainty."

Shehili, although produced with extreme care, keeps a very natural and organic flavor. The recordings took place in Hamburg, Germany, Tunisia, and France to make sure every single note found its way into the mix. Shehili was mixed by three different producers, including Kevin Codfert, Eike Freese, and the world-famous Jens Bogren (who already worked on Legacy), in order to give each song the best possible treatment and make it shine.

Myrath plan to embark on their own headline tour at the end of the year. Upcoming performances are slated for huge festivals such as Wacken and Sweden Rock.

SEAR BLISS Debut "Seven Springs" Music Video

SEAR BLISS Debut "Seven Springs" Music Video

After releasing their eighth album, Letters From The Edge last year, Hungarian atmospheric black metal band, Sear Bliss, will hit the road in 2019. As a kind of teaser they’ve released a new DIY video for the song “Seven Springs”, which appeared on the recent album. The video which was created again by the band’s guitarist, Attila Kovacs, using home, backstage and studio footage without any pomp added.

Sear Bliss leader and vocalist, Andras Nagy said: "While last year we spent most of our efforts on releasing Letters From The Edge, 2019 is going to be the year of shows and festivals to promote this album. We have never had so many gigs in previous years, we will have our first Hungarian tour and we will also go to places we have never been before. It seemed suitable to the occasion to create a video for one of the significant songs of the album, so Attila went through the enormous amount of recordings we did during the last few years while traveling, rehearsing, recording with the band and used it to show how it looks from our perspective. The intention was to make a simple, down-to-earth video, nothing fancy - no budget, no setups, no poses, no hoods. Seven Springs is a powerful live song and this video was made to demonstrate it. See you all on the road soon!”

OZZY OSBOURNE Postpones All 2019 Tour Dates

OZZY OSBOURNE Postpones All 2019 Tour Dates

Ozzy Osbourne has announced the postponement of all his 2019 tour dates, inclusive of shows in North America and Europe, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The BLACK SABBATH singer fell at his Los Angeles home, aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery last month. Osbourne will remain under doctor's care in Los Angeles as he recovers.

Says Ozzy: "I can't believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I'm grateful for the love and support I'm getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it's really what's keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day...I will fully recover...I will finish my tour...I will be back!"

The shows will be rescheduled beginning in February 2020 and concert-goers are being asked to hold onto their original tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Because some of the 2019 dates were festival appearances, not all will be rescheduled. The 2020 European dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Ozzy recently said that he's alive thanks to pure luck. The BLACK SABBATH singer has battled pneumonia and an upper respiratory infection, forcing him to cancel tours and spend weeks in the hospital, but the Prince of Darkness continues to stay above ground.

Ozzy explained to Metal Hammer magazine: "If you'd said to me years ago, 'How long do you think you'll last?' I would've said, 'I'll be dead by 40!' Luck has shadowed me all the way. If you'd read a news story that said, 'Ozzy Osbourne has been found dead in his hotel room!', you wouldn't go, 'Oh, really?' would you? You'd say, 'Well, obviously!'"

Ozzy has told The Pulse Of Radio before that he's been spooked by the number of musicians who have died in recent years. "I mean, of late everyone's dropping dead," he said. "I'm only hoping my number don't come up soon. You hear me talking, I'm lucky I'm not one of the dead ones, 'cause I used to — I mean, when there's drugs involved or alcohol, I should have died a thousand times.

Asked if he thinks about dying, Ozzy told Metal Hammer: "Yeah, I do think about it. It's getting close to the fucking end now. But turning 70 really makes you aware of the phenomenal change in the world. It's crazy what's going on. Everything's sped up to a ridiculous level now. You can do more in one hour than you could do in a week before. I do think that mankind is moving way too fast."

RINGWORM Release "Acquiesce" Music Video

RINGWORM Release "Acquiesce" Music Video

30 years into their storied career, Cleveland’s metallic hardcore legends Ringworm return to take the world by force with their 8th studio offering Death Becomes My Voice, coming May 3rd on Relapse Records.

An official video for “Acquiesce”, directed by Don Tyler and Human Furnace, can be seen below. You can listen to the track on all streaming services.

Frontman Human Furnace comments: “The 'Acquiesce' video is a sequel to the 'Shades Of Blue' video, and actually a third act of an ongoing story, that started with our very first video for 2005’s 'Justice Replaced by Revenge'. It’s another small piece of a larger story, that we’re planning on telling in its entirety, soon, as its own stand-alone short film, this fall. We’ll have a longer directors cut of the video, shortly. It’ll let you in on more of the story told over the course of the 3 videos, complete with storyboard to scene side-by-side comparisons, and a brief outline of the story.”

Death Becomes My Voice is due out on CD/LP/Digital. Physical packages are available for preorder via Relapse.com. Limited to 100 physical bundle includes an album art flag designed by Human Furnace. Digital downloads / streaming services available here.

Ringworm ascend to new levels of hostility with 35+ minutes and 11 tracks of no-holds-barred aggression on Death Becomes My Voice. Tracks such as “Let It Burn”, “Acquiesce”, and the band’s explosive title track unleash Ringworm’s visceral urgency, spawning one of the band’s most chaotic albums to date. Death Becomes My Voice was recorded at Mercenary Studios & Spider Studios, Mixed by Taylor Young (Nails, Twitching Tongues, Cannabis Corpse) and mastered at Audiosiege (Integrity, Full of Hell, Iron Reagan).

ORIGIN Release "Infestation" Lyric Video

ORIGIN Release "Infestation" Lyric Video

American technical death metal giants, Origin, will release their anniversary album Abiogenesis - A Coming Into Existence, featuring early & unreleased pre-Origin era material, on May 3 worldwide via Agonia Records. Check out a lyric video for the track "Infestation", below:

Abiogenesis is the process by which the origin of life has arisen from non-living matter. The details of this process are still a path unknown, the transition from non-living to a living entity was not a single event, but a gradual process of increasing complexity. This process is what Origin's new album is all about.

Abiogenesis - A Coming Into Existence was recorded and recreated from the original 1991-1996 era that preceded Origin's official formation. The album features never-before released tracks, that laid foundations to one of America's top death metal purveyors. The tracks on Abiogensis were recreated to the best of his ability, by founding Origin member & mastermind Paul Ryan, who recorded all instruments himself, between 2013 and 2018.

The twelve-track album includes eighth new (previously unreleased) tracks from the pre-Origin period, spanning from the Necrotomy (1990-1991) to Thee Abomination (1992-1993) era of the band (the Abiogenesis part of the album). They're followed by a remastered version of Origin's first ever EP from 1998 (and first ever death metal recording to use the "gravity blast" drumming technique) as a special bonus for all Origin fans & album collectors (A Coming Into Existence part). This EP was never available for worldwide release before.

Paul comments: "Over the years people have asked me how Origin just came to be as a band so ferocious virtually out of nowhere. This is a small summary of the Origins of Origin. Basically, I spent a lot of my youth at shows at the outhouse practicsng garage grinding, basement blasting & shed shredding anywhere I️ could, composing as what my father would call 'Infernal Racket' as I was very passionate about death metal. That's all I ever wanted to do. A lot of missed opportunities as we just couldn't put it together into making a album (some music was meant to be underground), so these tracks are some of my earliest creations from the Necrotomy (1990-1991) & Thee Abomination (1992-1993) period."

He continuous: "This is by no means the current direction of the band Origin, but simply music that is the Origins of Origin. I did to the best of my ability to recreate the instrumentation of all the former members & the guys who I played this music with blended into each track (& yes there was a lot of editing!!!!). Im officially retired from recording drums ever again!"

Even though Abiogenesis presents Paul as a multi-instrumentalist, things weren't like this back in the early 90's: "Thanks to these guys who helped me create these songs/style. I️ couldn’t have done this without you and Origin would have never been: Dean Jones, Drew Bray, Mark Manning, Jaime Serrano, Steve Bradley, Jerry Bradley, George Fluke, Clinton Appelhanz, Jeremy Turner, Judd Mason and Payam Pourmirza."

The music on Abiogenesis was influenced (back in the day) by all the heaviest sounds of the 80s and 90s (that Metal Blade, Relativity, Earache, Combat, Roadrunner & Relapse records could offer), as well as bands from the local Kansas scene and neighbouring states (inc. Excessive Strain, Psychosis, The Socio Pathetic's, Aehraid, Device Public Assassian, Nasferatu etc.).

Paul elaborates: "These Bands got very little recognition in the national spotlight but had a huge influence on me for their extremity & talent that I witnessed live. They pushed me to continue what I heard into my own music. I'd personally like to thank those who were there from the early days, those who have joined along my death metal soundtrack & those who are just discovering this music now!"

The Abiogenesis album was written between 1990 and 1993 and recorded between 2013 and 2018. David Nollac took care of the tracking at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco (Ca), with final mix and master done by long-time Origin collaborator, Robert Rebeck. The latter remastered A Coming Into Existence bonus EP in 2018, for the needs of this release. The EP was originally recorded and mixed at Mercy Studios in Lawrence (Kansas) by said Robert Rebeck, back in 1998. The Abiogenesis cover artwork features a photo of the Pillars Of Creation from the new advanced Hubble space telescope.

THOR To Release Hammer Of Justice CD / DVD This Month; "Warp 5000" Video Streaming; Major North American Tour Confirmed

THOR To Release Hammer Of Justice CD / DVD This Month; "Warp 5000" Video Streaming; Major North American Tour Confirmed

The god of heavy metal thunder, Thor, wields his mighty hammer once again, unleashing a storm of killer metal riffs and thundering rhythms on his epic new album, Hammer Of Justice, out on April 26.

The amazing fan reception of 2017’s Beyond The Pain Barrier as well as the surprisingly delightful holiday themed album Christmas In Valhalla caused Thor to team up with the young group of stellar musicians who brought those albums to life including guitarist John Leibel, rhythm guitarist Matt McNallie and bassist Ted Jedlicki along with drummer Tom Croxton. In addition, the metal giant also called upon past associates Frank Meyer (The Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs) and Kevin Stuart Swain (Idle Eyes) to round out the album’s sound. The result is a devastating blast of traditional, old school metal punched up with modern flourishes to appeal to Thor fans young and old.

Watch the video for the album’s first single “Warp 5000” below.

The CD version will be accompanied by a very special DVD with a full-length documentary film called The Return Of The Thunderhawk, which picks up where the award-winning documentary I Am Thor left off. The film follows Thor on an epic US and European tour in 2016 following the band’s ups and downs but always anchored by the group’s riveting live performances.

But since there is no substitute for the real thing, Thor has once again launched a massive tour across North America. This tour will feature a very special 2-day event in Toronto, dubbed Two Days Of Thor which will include a screening at the Royal Cinema of The Return Of The Thunderhawk immediately followed by a Q&A. Then Day 2 features a live concert at The Rockpile at which Thor will be presented with the key to the city for his contribution to the Toronto music scene and the city itself. Tour dates below

HARDLINE Share New Song "Page Of Your Life"; Audio

HARDLINE Share New Song "Page Of Your Life"; Audio

Hardline will release their new studio album, Life, on April 26th on CD/LP/Digital via Frontiers Music Srl. Pre-orders are available here. A special limited edition colour vinyl version of the album is available exclusively at the Frontiers' EU store, here. The album track, "Page Of Your Life", is available for streaming below.

In the past two years, Hardline has performed a number of shows across Europe, including festivals and more intimate gigs, and that live “energy” can certainly be felt on their new studio album. The band went back to 1992's Double Eclipse album for influence for the songs on this record, but additionally they also looked a little closer in the rearview at the tremendous predecessor to this album, Human Nature.

The resulting album, Life, perfectly blends the influences of those two albums and sees Hardline heavier, stronger, bigger, and better than ever. The band entered the studio feeling loose and relaxed from all their gigging. The two newest members, Marco Di Salvia on drums and Mario Percudani on guitar, had gelled seamlessly with the rest of the band from all those shows and combined with Anna Portalupi's pulsating rhythms and Alessandro Del Vecchio's songwriting and production abilities, Life was almost effortless for the band to create. And of course, Johnny Gioeli sings like only he can over top of these incredible musicians.

Tracklisting:

"Place To Call Home"
"Take A Chance"
"Helio's Sun"
"Page Of Your Life"
"Out Of Time"
"Hold On To Right"
"Handful Of Sand"
"This Love"
"Story Of My Life"
"Who Wants To Live Forever"
"Chameleon"
"My Friend"

APOCALYPTICA Debuts "For Whom The Bell Tolls" Video From APOCALYPTICA Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - A Live Performance CD/DVD

APOCALYPTICA Debuts "For Whom The Bell Tolls" Video From APOCALYPTICA Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - A Live Performance CD/DVD

Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos - A Live Performance, was released as a 2CD+1DVD digipak as well as a digital album version last December. Order here, and watch a video for "For Whom The Bell Tolls" from the release below:

Two decades ago, Apocalyptica’s first and most important album, Plays Metallica By Four Cellos, was released, selling over 1.5 million copies to date and leading to a carefully remastered, critically acclaimed new album version with three bonus tracks in 2016. In celebration of the trailblazing album’s 20th anniversary, the avowed live band is honouring their career-defining release with the extensive Plays Metallica By Four Cellos world tour since early 2017.

The highly emotional, all instrumental shows across the continents feature four cellos and a drum set and Metallica covers only, taking audiences back to the sound and track listing of the original album as well as thrilling them with more Metallica songs Apocalyptica covered over the years.

Show stopping highlights are cello versions of hits such as "Enter Sandman", "Master Of Puppets" and "Seek And Destroy", as well as incredibly dense encores like "Nothing Else Matters" and "One".

The new DVD delivers the band’s full two-hour concert at the renowned Finnish Savonlinna Opera Festival in the breathtaking scenery of Olavinlinna Castle, featuring previously unreleased Metallica covers. The accompanying CD/digital (and later vinyl) formats present the band’s slightly heavier rock flavor, displayed at one of the band’s three sold-out shows at the iconic Tavastia Club in Helsinki in September.

A lavish 3LP+1DVD+download code package will be dropping in 2019.

CARMINE APPICE Looks Back On Being Fired By SHARON OSBOURNE - "She Said My Name Was Too Big, I Needed To Start My Own Band"

CARMINE APPICE Looks Back On Being Fired By SHARON OSBOURNE - "She Said My Name Was Too Big, I Needed To Start My Own Band"

Legendary drummer Carmine Appice is well known for his work with Rod Stewart, and his bands Cactus, Blue Murder and King Kobra. In the interview below with rock journalist Lucas H. Gordon - conducted in January 2019 at NAMM - Appice talked about his new autobiography, The Hall Of Heavy Metal Music Awards, his Guitar Zeus album, and offers up some cool stories including one with Bulletboys and getting fired by Sharon Osbourne.

Appice recently spoke with WSOU about former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent cancelling his comeback shows scheduled for this past February, stating "I always thought that if Vinnie messed this up, or whoever messed it up, I don't know if there'll be another chance because this is his comeback. He already canceled it once, and if gets canceled again, nobody's gonna care anymore. (They'll say) 'I'm not gonna go even buy a ticket. He's not gonna show up. Or something's gonna happen.' But I was looking forward to it, because me and Tony Franklin — I love playing with Tony, and we were gonna play the Vinnie KISS songs, which would have been fun. After I saw that KISS Kruise party footage... Vinnie's always been like a showoff kind of guy, and he just stood there. He looked like he was scared to me. I asked him: 'Can you still play? You've been out 30 years.' He goes, 'Yeah. I've been playing in my house. Yeah, of course, I can still play.' I said, 'Okay. I believe you...' but I don't know what happened. It's too bad, because it would have been fun."

The original poster for the cancelled dates can be seen below:

DEF LEPPARD Guitarist PHIL COLLEN Talks Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction - "Personally It Doesn't Mean Anything, But For The Fans It's Awesome"

DEF LEPPARD Guitarist PHIL COLLEN Talks Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction - "Personally It Doesn't Mean Anything, But For The Fans It's Awesome"

Phil Collen of Def Leppard fame recently spoke with Rock Candy about the band's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Following is an excerpt from the story.

“Personally it doesn’t mean anything,” he admits to writer Jon Hotten in the latest issue of Rock Candy Magazine. “But for the fans it’s awesome. In the 15 years or whatever it is since we’ve been eligible, they’ve been pissed off on our behalf. You know, ‘You guys have got two diamond albums, so how come you ain’t in?’”

Having been an integral member of Def Leppard for over 35 years now, Collen feels the band is every bit as creative today as it ever has been.

“The concept of our band was always to create a hybrid between Queen, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Rush, Prince… anything and everything. The last tour we did was our best, and that excites me. It keeps us going. It’s magical, it really is.”

Read the whole in Issue #13 of Rock Candy Mag, available in shops worldwide or direct from us online at this location.

Def Leppard were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on March 29th. The event will be broadcast on US TV on HBO on Saturday, April 27, at 8 PM, EST.

In the video below, Def Leppard takes you behind the scenes for their induction:

Rolling Stone senior editor David Fricke sat down with the members of Def Leppard to discuss their legendary career, their music and their thoughts on getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Below, the band discuss staying relevant through the 90s:

In another clip, the band discuss their most favourite and least favourite music videos:

Former TAKARA Member NEAL GRUSKY Resurfaces In PREY FOR SUNDAY

Former TAKARA Member NEAL GRUSKY Resurfaces In PREY FOR SUNDAY

Part metal, part soul, all real, Prey For Sunday is a high-energy band on a mission to transcend and uplift humankind during their darkest hours. Guitar-driven, vintage metal melodies and old-school songwriting with prominent catchy hooks produce compositions that motivate audiences to dive into the moshpit with feet stomping. Prey for Sunday's new album is best described as a self-contained musical story of optimism, realism, and emotion... infused with a creative blend of heavy tones and captivating riffs.

As founding member and lead guitarist, Neal Grusky formed Takara in 1987 in Los Angeles, California and recorded six studio albums for several different record labels in the U.S., Europe, and Japan with such members as Jeff Scott Soto (singer/producer) Bob Daisley (bass) Gus Monsanto (singer) Gary Schutt (bass) Bjorn Englen (bass) Patrick Johannsen (drums).

Prey For Sunday is the brainchild of Sacramento born-turned-LA native- Lead guitarist/songwriter, Neal Grusky.  Neal’s writing shaped the band's identity of modern metal and his passion is to create new ways to interpret sound, serving fresh organic and original metal melodies, and songs that capture the listener's ear and mind, all meant to send listeners on a journey through his musical creativity, and guitar playing.
Tony Persico, Prey For Sunday's lyrical foundation; captures in his songwriting the raw emotions he experienced through his own dark, deep struggles as a human finding his way in a turbulent world. Persico credits his dynamic and distinctive voice to spending countless hours at the local swimming hole honing his sound. He eloquently describes his message to his listeners and all people who are struggling.

“Neal is an awesome songwriter and musician, not to mention a long time loyal close friend. I wish his new project a great success,” says Bjorn Englen bassist for Foundry, Soul Sign, and Dio Disciples.

Jeff Scott Soto adds, “I've known Neal Grusky for decades and his drive to create is as fresh today as it was on the many albums we've worked on together. I'm honored to be his friend and colleague; may this next and new musical chapter fill many souls!”

Prey For Sunday's new album drops in 2019 with intention to hit stages across America, Japan, Germany, Canada, Africa, the UK and the side stage at OzFest. Grusky and Persico aspire to build a loyal fanbase of followers who are inspired to be a little less lonely and feel more human.

MEGADETH's DAVID ELLEFSON Says CLIFF BURTON Didn't Influence His Bass Playing

MEGADETH's David Ellefson says that METALLICA's late bassist Cliff Burton was not an influence on his playing.

Ellefon and Dave Mustaine formed MEGADETH in 1983, after Mustaine got kicked out of METALLICA. METALLICA recruited Kirk Hammett and went on to record its debut album, "Kill 'Em All", later that year, while Ellefson and Mustaine began work on MEGADETH's first LP, "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!"

During a recent ALTITUDES & ATTITUDE conversation with moderator Ryan J. Downey at the MI Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Ellefson was asked if Burton was an inspiration on his bass playing during MEGADETH's formative years. Ellefson responded: " I met Dave [Mustaine] in June of 1983. He had just left METALLICA literally not more than eight weeks before that, in April. So I didn't know anything about METALLICA, didn't know who Dave was, heard nothing about Cliff Burton — knew nothing about it, coming from the Midwest. And I didn't know anything about Cliff. And because the only recording Dave had of METALLICA was 'No Life 'Til Leather', and that had another bass player on it named Ron McGovney. So when we did a cover of 'Mechanix', I played Ron McGovney's basslines."

He continued: "Really, quite honestly, my METALLICA bass player was Ron, believe it or not, and I kind of modeled what we did off of that 'No Life 'Til Leather' demo. And I remember the day when 'Kill 'Em All' and we sat… There was complete silence in the room, and we sat and we listened to the album. And the differences — tempos were pulled back. And obviously the bass solo, 'Anesthesia'. That was really my first experience hearing Cliff. And at that point, we were two months into… MEGADETH was well on its way.

"So, long answer to your short question is I didn't really have an influence [from Cliff]… That was not where my influence came from. And quite honestly, growing up in a rural area of Minnesota, bass players in rock and roll were cool, but when I started hearing some jazz players… Those guys were more of my influence, along with Steve Harris [IRON MAIDEN] and Geddy Lee [RUSH] and Ian Hill [JUDAS PRIEST] and the metal guys. But, for me, I went more into the jazz world… But those were the things that I brought in, and I think that made, me and Dave, our participation together with the MEGADETH sound something that was… And even then with Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland — they were jazz-fusion musicians. We really had a very different sound — different even from ANTHRAX, from METALLICA, from SLAYER — a very different sound. And I think that probably is what sort of set us apart as our own pillar of the 'Big Four.'"

Ellefson was in MEGADETH from the band's inception in 1983 to 2002, when the group briefly broke up because frontman Dave Mustaine suffered severe nerve damage that left him unable to play. After Mustaine reformed MEGADETH with an all-new lineup in 2004, Ellefson sued his former bandmate for $18.5 million, alleging that Mustaine still owed him substantial merchandise and publishing royalties. In January 2005, the case was dismissed in court, and five years later, Ellefson rejoined MEGADETH.

THE DEAD DAISIES Streaming "Judgement Day" Single From Welcome To Daisyland; Screambox TV Airing Entire Horror Series Now

THE DEAD DAISIES Streaming "Judgement Day" Single From Welcome To Daisyland; Screambox TV Airing Entire Horror Series Now

Due to the massive success and positive feedback following the self-released premiere of Episode 1 from the thrilling new horror anthology series Welcome To Daisyland, the subscription based horror streaming platform Screambox TV has officially signed on to air the series in its entirety beginning today. The series will air on Screambox uncut, uncensored and commercial free. Watch all episodes here.

Developed by Spitfire Music, the new horror anthology series enlists the Australian-American hard rock collective The Dead Daisies to provide the music and orchestration for the series, furthering their stance that rock music is indeed alive and well.

"With fewer music based platforms playing rock music each year, and taking our love of hard rock and horror into account, we decided to create our own. Streaming services are the delivery systems of the future so stay tuned for Welcome to Daisyland," states David Edwards from Spitfire Music.

In conjunction with the debut of the series on Screambox, the band will release a new digital single, "Judgement Day", which is featured in the series. Take a listen here.

The Dead Daisies previously shared an exclusive acoustic version of their hit song and series theme track "Dead And Gone" (Swamp Version), which can be viewed below:

FOZZY Signs With SONY MUSIC

FOZZY Signs With SONY MUSIC

FOZZY — the band featuring former WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho alongside members of STUCK MOJO — has inked a new record deal with Sony Music. The group's last three albums — 2012's "Sin And Bones", 2014's "Do You Wanna Start A War" and 2017's "Judas" — were released through Century Media.

Jericho announced FOZZY's new label home in a Twitter video Wednesday night. He said: "All right, guys. It's a big night. After seven records, FOZZY is now signing a new deal with Sony Music. How cool is that? I mean, it doesn't get any bigger than that. Thanks to all of you guys who helped us get to this point, signing with Sony. And I'm gonna do it right in front of you right here right now." After putting his signature on the contract, Chris continued: "It's official. FOZZY is on Sony Music. We're in the big time now."

Jericho added in an accompanying message: "So honored and thanks to all of the #FozzyFanatics WORLDWIDE! Our next record is going to be HUGE!"

The production duties on "Judas" were handled by Johnny Andrews, who co-wrote FOZZY's "Lights Go Out" track back in 2014 and has written songs with the likes of ALL THAT REMAINS, THREE DAYS GRACE and HALESTORM in the past.

Last fall, Jericho — who had made his name wrestling in the Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling organizations — told Global News that FOZZY was planning to return to the studio as soon as possible.

"My major project for the last 10 years has been FOZZY," he said. "I base other things around the FOZZY schedule. Once we decided to put everything behind the band and go full force, that's when you continue to really grow as a band. The last 18 months have been amazing and we'll be writing again with the idea that we'd like to be back in the studio as soon as we can. We're in this for the long run, just as long if it's as good, if not better, than the 'Judas' album. We now have to top that. [Laughs]"

Jericho co-founded FOZZY with guitarist Rich Ward in Atlanta in 1999.

The band's first two albums, "Fozzy" (2000) and "Happenstance" (2002), were made up primarily of cover songs.

It’s official... @FOZZYROCK has just signed with @SonyMusicGlobal! So honored and thanks to all of the #FozzyFanatics WORLDWIDE! Our next record is going to be HUGE! pic.twitter.com/dlZ2jXciLD— Chris Jericho (@IAmJericho) April 4, 2019

JAMES HETFIELD's Dramatic Acting Debut To Premiere On NETFLIX Next Month; New Trailer Released

JAMES HETFIELD's Dramatic Acting Debut To Premiere On NETFLIX Next Month; New Trailer Released

"Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile", the thriller in which METALLICA frontman James Hetfield makes his dramatic acting debut, will premiere on Netflix on May 3.

"Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile" follows the relationship between notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, played by Zac Efron, and his longtime girlfriend, played by Lily Collins, who at the time had no knowledge of the crimes.

A new official trailer for "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile" can be seen below.

The Grammy and multi-platinum- and gold-award-winning artist plays officer Bob Hayward, a no-nonsense Utah highway patrol veteran who was the first law enforcement officer to arrest Bundy in 1975 after pulling the killer over and discovering burglary tools in his car but wisely suspecting much worse. While Hetfield has played himself in other films and television productions, this is his first dramatic role taking on a different character.

Academy Award nominee Joe Berlinger ("Paradise Lost") directed. Hetfield and Berlinger have crossed paths before when the latter directed and produced the seminal rock-doc "Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster" along with the late Bruce Sinofsky. Berlinger also penned a book about his experiences with the band, "Metallica: This Monster Lives".

"Having spent hundreds of hours behind the scenes with James and the rest of METALLICA, I have experienced his charisma and powerful presence close up," says Berlinger. "It seemed only natural that he would bring that same power and magnetism to a dramatic role, so when he agreed to my pitch that he be in the movie, I was thrilled."

The original screenplay, written by Michael Werwie, won the Nicholl Fellowship first prize and was featured on the Black List.

Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Award winner Jim Parsons and Academy Award nominees Haley Joel Osment and John Malkovich are also part of the cast along with Kaya Scodelario, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Terry Kinney and Dylan Baker.

Efron appeared in James Franco's critically acclaimed comedy "The Disaster Artist" as well as "The Greatest Showman", "Baywatch", "Neighbors" and "Neighbors 2".

"It's very interesting. I think the movie itself is really deep," said Efron to ET in March 2018. "It doesn't really glorify Ted Bundy. He wasn't a person to be glorified. It simply tells a story and sort of how the world was able to be charmed over by this guy who was notoriously evil and the vexing position that so many people were put in, the world was put in."

He added: "It was fun to go and experiment in that realm of reality. I didn't go full method and I didn't have to like do any weird stuff to anybody to get into character."

Collins starred in the critically acclaimed dramas "To The Bone" and "Okja", the latter of which was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Collins was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress (Comedy) for her starring role in "Rules Don't Apply". She appears in the mini-series "Les Miserables".

The project was announced by Voltage Pictures at Cannes 2017.

TOOL Updates Logo, Sends Fans Into Frenzy

TOOL Updates Logo, Sends Fans Into Frenzy

TOOL has uploaded a new Facebook image consisting of the band's logo with the addition of the Roman numerals for 2019.

Some fans have taken the image to confirm that TOOL will put its long-awaited new studio album out this year, although no announcement regarding an official release date has yet been made.

The latest sign of activity in the TOOL camp comes just a week after METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed in an interview that TOOL guitarist Adam Jones was "dealing with artwork" for the follow-up to 2006's "10,000 Days".

Last month, TOOL shared a photo of Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey alongside the new album's producer, Joe Barresi, and mastering engineer Bob Ludwig, who previously mastered "10,000 Days". The picture was apparently taken at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, Maine. The mastering process is usually the last step, after recording and mixing, before an album gets pressed, released and distributed.

TOOL entered the studio more than a year ago, in March 2018, to begin recording the disc.

Keenan recently said that the band's fifth full-length album and first in 13 years would likely arrive "between mid-May and mid-July."

TOOL will play nearly a dozen U.S. shows in May.

GOREGӒNG Including Members Of RIBSPREADER, SOILWORK, VENOM INC. Streaming New Song “Cathedral Of Chemicals”

GOREGӒNG Including Members Of RIBSPREADER, SOILWORK, VENOM INC. Streaming New Song “Cathedral Of Chemicals”

Goregӓng play wicked and corpulent death / crust metal that pays homage to the genre's greats, as well as keeps things interesting by mixing it all up. Imagine Autopsy covering early Grave and Wombbath and you're getting close. Goregӓng will release Neon Graves on May 20th via Transcending Obscurity Records. Listen to new track, "Cathedral Of Chemicals", below.

Death metal / crust maniacs Goregӓng have worked hard on their first full-length album after causing a bit of a stir with their short debut. With members of reputed bands like Venom Inc., Ribspreader, Soilwork (live), in their lineup, everything is top-notch and well-thought right down to the Mark Riddick logo, the jaw-dropping Juanjo Castellano artwork, not to mention the impeccable production and execution of the music that can be summed up as a perfect amalgamation of death metal with a lethal dose of crust / grind. There's added menace in the vocal delivery, with Kling mixing it all up and pacing it beautifully to the undulating music. There's an undeniable charm to the proceedings as the songs chug along with maniacal glee, breaking into faster punkish parts and rampaging till the end. It's an album littered with so many variations that you'll need to get back to it to keep track of it all. It's a rare album that eschews the standard template and does things its own way to keep it entertaining and yes, brutal.

Tracklisting:

"A Cavity In Reality"
"False Flags"
"Cathedral Of Chemicals"
"Silence Is Consent"
"Spray Of Teeth"
"Feeble-Minded Rash"
"Neon Graves"
"Plague Of Hammers"
"Goregӓng"
"Weightless Sentinels"
"Putrid Judgement"
"This Era Of Human"

"Cathedral Of Chemicals":
