Jani Lane was born February 1st, 1964 in Akron, Ohio. He went on to sing on seven Warrant studio albums:
Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich (1989)
Cherry Pie (1990)
Dog Eat Dog (1992)
Ultraphobic (1995)
Belly To Belly (1996)
Greatest & Latest (1999)
Under The Influence (2001)
Warrant's peak was their second record, Cherry Pie, which featured guest appearances by POISON's C. C. DeVille, DANGER DANGER's Bruno Ravel and Steve West, and Fiona. The album, which spawned the hits 'Cherry Pie', 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' (the famous acoustic intro was performed by Eric Oswald – Jani's brother) and 'I Saw Red', reached the Top Ten in the United States, and went on to sell 3 million copies. The record's title track received strong exposure on MTV and became the band's most successful single.
After leaving Warrant, Lane issued a solo album, Back Down To One. That was followed by a brief stint with SAINTS OF THE UNDERGROUND, who only released one album - Love The Sin, Hate The Sinner.
