DAVE LOMBARDO To His MR. BUNGLE Bandmate MIKE PATTON: 'You Have My Complete Support'

DAVE LOMBARDO To His MR. BUNGLE Bandmate MIKE PATTON: 'You Have My Complete Support'

Dave Lombardo has publicly voiced his support for Mike Patton after the singer announced that he was canceling all previously announced fall 2021 concerts due to mental health reasons.

Earlier today, the FAITH NO MORE and MR. BUNGLE frontman issued a statement saying that he "cannot continue" with the dates because of unspecified "issues that were exacerbated by the pandemic that are challenging" him right now.

A short time later, Lombardo, who plays with Patton in DEAD CROSS, MR. BUNGLE and FANTÔMAS, shared Mike's statement on Twitter and added in an accompanying message: "My dear friend and brother in music, you have my complete support to do whatever you need to do for your mental health and over all well-being. Love, respect & support always".

The other members of FAITH NO MORE also issued a separate statement expressing their disappointment about the tour cancelation while throwing their support behind their bandmate. They wrote: "We have a family member who needs help. We believe that forging ahead with these dates would have had a profoundly destructive effect on Mike, whose value to us as a brother means more to us than his job as singer. He can count on our 100% support to do what he needs to do to get things right. Just as we also ask for your support right now."

Last year, Lombardo told Ultimate Guitar about his musical and personal chemistry with Patton: ""Fuck, he's a great guy. Not only is he a dear friend, comrade, brother. We're both self-taught musicians. We took no formal music training. We understand the language on stage and there's this energy, and fire that emanates from his voice that drives my energy. When I hear him crescendo into a certain section or leading up to another part, the energy builds and flawlessly transitions into the following section. That energy came to light when we first started working together with the FANTÔMAS music. We just understand each other's musical language. He knows what to expect and what I can deliver, whether it's something high-powered or soft and smooth, he knows he can get that from me. We have good chemistry."

MR. BUNGLE recently released "The Night They Came Home" (Ipecac Recordings), the NorCal band's first live album. The 14-song LP, accompanied by a physical-only film release, captured the band's Halloween 2020 livestream event and featured a new live video for "Eracist".

My dear friend and brother in music, you have my complete support to do whatever you need to do for your mental health and over all well-being.

Love, respect & support always https://t.co/4MnRQ4Udfb

JUDAS PRIEST's SCOTT TRAVIS On Upcoming Box Set: 'If You Can Do Anything For 50 Years, It Should Be Celebrated'

JUDAS PRIEST's SCOTT TRAVIS On Upcoming Box Set: 'If You Can Do Anything For 50 Years, It Should Be Celebrated'

On October 15, JUDAS PRIEST will release "50 Heavy Metal Years Of Music", a mammoth limited-edition box set which will include every official live and studio album to date plus 13 unreleased discs. This is the most extensive release of previously unreleased music the band has made from its vast archives — a real treat for fans. Restored and mixed by Tom Allom at La Cucina W8 and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios, this special release will be made available via Sony Music.

Speaking to KNAC.COM about PRIEST's decision to release "50 Heavy Metal Years Of Music", drummer Scott Travis said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's the 50th [anniversary], so that's the golden anniversary. And that's a good time; 50 is a good [time to celebrate]. If you can do anything for 50 years — I don't care if it's playing heavy metal or making milkshakes on the corner — if you can do something for 50 years, that's an accomplishment, so it should be celebrated [and] it should be honored. And secondly, I think because everyone's had roughly a good two years [during the pandemic] to reflect on just life, man, it really put everything in perspective. And sadly, a lot of people really suffered — the ones who are no longer with us. And I'm not gonna go down that rabbit hole. But it's a thing, and, unfortunately, it's still with us. Point being that we're all older now, and I think we all have an appreciation of just life. So this is just a small modicum of music that JUDAS PRIEST has been able to produce, and we decided to release it."

JUDAS PRIEST originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). The original nucleus of musicians would go on to change the face of heavy metal. Throughout the 1970s, PRIEST was responsible for helping trail blaze metal with such classic offerings as "Sad Wings Of Destiny" (1976), "Sin After Sin" (1977) and "Hell Bent For Leather" (1978) as well as one of the genre's top live recordings, "Unleashed In The East" (1979), among others.

It was during the 1980s that PRIEST conquered the world, becoming a global arena headliner on the strength of such all-time classics as "British Steel" (1980) and "Screaming For Vengeance" (1982) as well as being one of the first metal bands to be embraced by the then-burgeoning MTV plus performing at some of the decades biggest concerts (1980's Monsters Of Rock, 1983's US Festival and 1985's Live Aid) and being the first to exclusively wear leather and studs — a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. PRIEST's success continued throughout the 1990s and beyond with the addition of drummer Scott Travis, as evidenced by such additional stellar offerings as "Painkiller" (1990), "Angel Of Retribution" (2005) and "A Touch Of Evil: Live" (2009), the latter of which saw PRIEST win a Grammy Award for a killer rendition of the classic "Dissident Aggressor".

In 2011, new guitarist Richie Faulkner came in to replace K.K. Downing, who had left in 2010. The move seemed to have reinvigorated the band as evidenced by a show-stealing performance on the "American Idol" finale that also served as Faulkner's debut performance with the band (also in 2011 was the release of a new compilation "The Chosen Few" which included PRIEST classics selected by some of metal's biggest names) and the "Epitaph" concert DVD in 2013.

PRIEST's next studio effort would arrive in 2014 — "Redeemer Of Souls" — which was supported by another strong tour. In 2017 (and again in 2019), JUDAS PRIEST received a nomination for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and got ready to unleash its latest studio album, "Firepower" (produced by Andy Sneap and Tom Allom) which received global success and critical acclaim. In 2020, a fully official and authorized photographic book, "Judas Priest: 50 Heavy Metal Years", was issued.

A "Reflections" edition of the box set will also be available to purchase in CD and 2LP formats.

RESIST & BITE Feat. Former TESLA Guitarist TOMMY SKEOCH: Video For 'I' Song

RESIST & BITE Feat. Former TESLA Guitarist TOMMY SKEOCH: Video For 'I' Song

RESIST & BITE, the new band featuring former TESLA guitarist Tommy Skeoch, has released a music video for the song "I". The clip, which features studio footage, can be seen below.

Joining Skeoch in RESIST & BITE are ex-LYNCH MOB lead vocalist Nathan Utz, guitarist Steve Stokes, drummer David Parks and bassist Brian Powell.

RESIST & BITE has just released its self-titled debut album via Lor Live Records. The LP was recorded over a 21-period at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with producer and engineer Michael Rosen and was mastered by Anthony Focx.

Utz states: "The song 'I' is about all the people in the world that beat the odds. Anybody who gets up off their back and takes care of their business and really doesn't let anything get in their way. They're not afraid to fight for what they believe in."

Skeoch says: "I never knew if I'd ever have another band. So great. What are the chances? But here it is. So organic, so natural the way it all happened. Great group of guys, and probably one of the best-sounding records I've ever made. The songs and performances are so perfect."

"Resist & Bite" track listing:

01. Blood On Me

02. Fate

03. Bombs

04. A Soul For Mary

05. I

06. Already Said

07. Afterneath

08. Till Tomorrow

09. Home

10. Crazy

11. Up In Flames

12. Scream

13. Say Watcha Want

RESIST & BITE's debut single, "The Myth I'm Livin'", came out in March 2020. A follow-up single, "Fate", arrived this past June.

Skeoch left TESLA in 2006 and went on to receive treatment for substance-abuse issues. He has since been replaced by Dave Rude. Asked in an interview with SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" if he exited the group of his own accord or if he was asked to leave, Tommy said: "I was fired. I was getting fucked up and I was definitely in the wrong about a lot of stuff, and they put up with it for a long time. But at the same time, none of us were angels, and we put up with a lot of stuff from the other guys for a long time too, and they're still there. So I felt like a little scapegoated by the thing. And the other thing is they didn't want people — I guess for the benefit of my family, so it wouldn't look bad — they said, 'Tommy's just gonna spend time [with his family].' That's why nobody knows, and that's why you're asking this question. Everyone's confused on even what happened. Basically, I was fired. I was getting fucked up, and I kept fucking up, and I kept telling 'em I wouldn't, and I just couldn't stop."

Skeoch added that he accepts responsibility for the circumstances that led to his departure from TESLA. "I do, of course," he said. "But I also believe we put up with a lot of shit for a long time from almost every other guy in the band, and they're still there. So I don't know what's up with that; that's a little weird to me."

Last September, TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon was asked by Detroit's WRIF radio station if the band will ever work with Skeoch again. Hannon said: "When we were kids, Tommy Skeoch and myself, I was 16 and he was about 19 or 20. I used to really look up to him — I was a huge fan of his style, and still am, a great fan of his guitar playing. We were like best buds. And then we would collaborate and write songs like 'Modern Day Cowboy' or any of those TESLA songs, we'd write 'em together. But as time went on, man, the egos and the problems — myself included — throughout the years, the competition, it really drove a wedge between us. And the drugs and alcohol just really destroyed our relationship, I've just gotta be honest. We weren't supposed to talk about this stuff, but now I figure it's been long enough.

"I don't see that TESLA will ever go back, because we love Dave Rude, and Dave has really been a great addition to the band. And it would be disrespectful to him to go backwards to a toxic thing, a relationship that really got very toxic.

"Unfortunately, I don't think that TESLA will work with Tommy again — ever," Frank reiterated. "But I will say that myself, personally, I have always loved Tommy and I just wish him the best. I'm so glad that he's still alive, and I know he's got a new band out [RESIST & BITE] that put a song out called 'The Myth I'm Livin''. It was kick-ass; it had Tommy's guitar. Look, I'm getting goosebumps right now. Every time I hear Tommy Skeoch play, it brings a smile to my face, 'cause he's freakin' awesome. As a musician, I have nothing but love and respect for the guy. But I don't think TESLA will ever work with him again. But I do wish him the best."

In a 2011 interview with Noisecreep, TESLA singer Jeff Keith stated about Skeoch: "Look, everyone in TESLA has been through their own substance-abuse issues. But Tommy got in too deep again. So the band told him that the only way we would be able to make this work is if he was clean and sober. I felt like we couldn't ask him to do that if we weren't going to commit to it too. So I was the first one to say that I wouldn't drink, or do anything else, on the tour. The next thing you know, the other guys did the same thing. Troy [Luccketta, drums] has been clean and sober for over 20 years, so it wasn't even an issue for him... Tommy couldn't stay off the stuff he was doing. It broke my heart to see it, but we knew we had to replace him."

METALLICA + BEATLES Mashup Act BEATALLICA To Release 'The Devolver Album' In November

METALLICA + BEATLES Mashup Act BEATALLICA To Release 'The Devolver Album' In November

BEATALLICA, a satirical mashup act whose hilarious schtick marries the songwriting prowess of THE BEATLES to the deep-throated rock growl of METALLICA, will release its fourth studio album, "The Devolver Album", on November 12 via Metal Assault Records.

A music video for the album's lead single "Wherever And Everywhere" is set to premiere on October 1 on the band's YouTube channel, along with the pre-order launch of the album in the aforementioned formats on beatallica.bandcamp.com. All digital and physical album pre-orders will come with an instant download of the lead single.

On the arrival of "The Devolver Album" and what to expect from the new release, the band issued the following comment: "BEATALLICA are stoked to finally be releasing 'The Devolver Album' after many years of arranging, re-arranging, and deranging concepts!

"Our relationship with METALLICA has been a blessing and we thank them for their support and allowances.

"'The Devolver Album' will have all the elements of past BEATALLICA recordings plus more. Listeners will pick up on the mash-up between original music and lyrics and METALLICA compositions along with BEATLES sensibilities, style, and influence. Thrashy, heavy, clever, subversive, and hesh, of course!

"BEATALLICA are made up of highly experienced song writers and we had a great time working in original material on this release.

"Our first single and video for 'Wherever And Everywhere' will be out soon.

"BEATALLICA are pumped to be working with Metal Assault Records and we look forward to playing live, in support of 'The Devolver Album' before too long! Info and show dates can be found at beatallica.org and merch will be at beatallica.bandcamp.com. Hells yeah!!"

Produced by BEATALLICA, "The Devolver Album" was recorded at Hamtone Audio and engineered by Jeff Hamilton and Lodi Broekhuizen. Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Flemball Rasmartin at Shane Olivo Audio and Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering, respectively. The artwork featured on the cover of "The Devolver Album" was created by Matt Wells of lizardmanart.com

"The Devolver Album" track listing:

01. Devolver

02. Play Me Overdrive Guitar

03. Never Borne

04. Wherever And Everywhere

05. Hesh Today

06. Here Comes Revenge

07. Numbernine

08. B. C. H. C.

09. The Damning Of Helleanor Hippie

In late 2020, Metal Assault Records very excitedly added BEATALLICA to its official label roster. MAR owner Andrew Bansal was first introduced to BEATALLICA in 2010 when the band toured the West Coast and performed at the now-defunct Key Club in West Hollywood; putting on the kind of performance only they can. Subsequently, Bansal interviewed BEATALLICA and kept track of their progress over the years as they took their show on the road all over the world, garnering a global fanbase to go with the heaps of praise received from members of METALLICA and the like, as well as from journalists everywhere.

On the live front, BEATALLICA is set to perform at the gigantic Summerfest in their hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin this Saturday September 18. More concert dates will be announced in the near future, as the band gears up to perform "Wherever And Everywhere" in support of the new record.

BEATALLICA's third full-length album, "Abbey Load", was released in April 2013 via Oglio Records.

Back in 2005, the members of BEATALLICA received help from METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich in their dispute with Sony Music over BEATALLICA's "unlawful use" of the group's compositions "without authorization or license." Sony Music accused BEATALLICA of violating copyright laws, demanded that their webmaster pay "unspecified damages," and forced the band's ISP to shut down their web site. Thanks to Ulrich's efforts, BEATALLICA was soon back online, and the legal debacle was over.

"The Internet is a swamp of piracy, so you send out cease-and-desist letters all the time," METALLICA lawyer Peter Paterno said at the time. "Someone at Sony probably saw this site and sent out a letter and once they realized what was on it they decided it was not something worth picking a fight over. They got that this is different from someone selling BEATLES CDs and not paying royalties."

BEATALLICA frontman Jaymz Lennfield (a.k.a. Michael "Tinker" Tierney) later told River Cities' Reader that he believed his band's music had the legal protection of parody. "We think we're making something new, especially lyrically," he said. "It's definitely a creative process... Legally and creatively, stuff like this hasn't been done before."

BEATALLICA is:

Jaymz Lennfield - lead vocals, guitars

Grg Hammettson III - lead guitar, backing vocals

Jimmy Ul-nic - drums, percussion, backing vocals

Dr. Robert Stujillo - bass, backing vocals

TOMMY LEE On HULU's Upcoming 'Pam And Tommy' Limited Series: 'It's A Really Beautiful Story'

TOMMY LEE On HULU's Upcoming 'Pam And Tommy' Limited Series: 'It's A Really Beautiful Story'

MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee says that he has no problem with "Pam And Tommy", Hulu's upcoming limited series about his and "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson's infamous leaked sex tape.

Sebastian Stan and Lily James star in the series as Lee and Anderson, while Seth Rogen also appears as the man who stole the tape, and is producing with his partner Evan Goldberg. The series also stars Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, Andrew Dice Clay, Pepi Sonuga, Spencer Granese and Mozhan Marnò.

Speaking with ET's Rachel Smith at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 12), Tommy admitted that he hasn't seen the photos of 39-year-old Stan portraying him, but he said: "I know Sebastian; he's playing me. And from what he's told me, it's a really beautiful story. I think a lot of people would think that it's one thing, but it's really about privacy and how things got crazy then. And there's different laws now. The story's actually cool. What actually happened wasn't, but he told me it's pretty wild."

Asked if he is surprised the story is being told now, Tommy said: "Yeah. It's such a… God, I feel like it was forever ago. But it's a cool story, and people need to know. I mean, it's cool. I'm stoked. That's cool."

The eight-episode series focuses on the duo's salacious relationship in the 1990s, including the leak of the private honeymoon video and the legal battle that ensued.

Lee and Anderson are not involved with the series, which is written by Robert Siegel and DV DeVincentis and produced by Annapurna.

Anderson and Lee got married on a beach in Mexico in 1995 after dating for just four days. The couple, who divorced in 1998, share two sons, Brandon, 24, and Dylan, 22.

The sex tape Lee made with Anderson during their 1998 honeymoon ended up finding its way online after being stolen from their home by an electrician. Pamela later sued the distribution company, but ended up settling, and the tape continued to be available online as a result. The tape reportedly made $77 million in less than 12 months.

"I've never seen it," Anderson said on "Watch What Happens Live" in 2015. "I made not one dollar. It was stolen property. We made a deal to stop all the shenanigans. I was seven months pregnant with Dylan and thinking it was affecting the pregnancy with the stress and said, 'I'm not going to court anymore. I'm not being deposed anymore by these horny, weird lawyer men. I don't want to talk about my vagina anymore or my public sex — anything."

Here’s a peek at Pam & Tommy, coming to @Hulu. Based on the true scandal that started it all, featuring Lily James, Sebastian Stan and @SethRogen… ready to rewind? #PamAndTommy pic.twitter.com/4ctdKYEm9F

MYLES KENNEDY On New SLASH Album: 'It's Just A Matter Of Finding A Window To Release The Stuff'

MYLES KENNEDY On New SLASH Album: 'It's Just A Matter Of Finding A Window To Release The Stuff'

In a new interview with Jonathan Clarke of New York's Q104.3 radio station, Myles Kennedy spoke about the upcoming album from SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS. The effort will be the follow-up to "Living The Dream", which came out in September 2018 via Slash's own label Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records. The disc was Slash's fourth solo album, and third with Slash and his CONSPIRATORS bandmates Kennedy, Todd Kerns (bass, vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Frank Sidoris (guitar and vocals).

"We started putting things together — technically, we started putting things together for that record, writing songs, on the last tour back in 2018, I think, or '19, whatever it was," Myles said. "So, yeah, we have a lot of stuff to pool from. And as we've been saying, it's in the can, the tunes are in the can, so we're good to go. It's just a matter of finding a window to release the stuff."

Earlier this month, Myles told Anne Erickson of Audio Ink Radio that the new SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS LP will "hopefully" see the light of day "early next year."

Asked about the sound and style of the LP, Myles told Audio Ink Radio: "The thing about the record is that it's got a live vibe to it. It was a record that was recorded in kind of an old-school way. So, with that said, without giving too much away, it definitely has a bit of that energy and that vibe that a lot of us listened to growing up. So, it was fun. It was a fun record to make."

SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS' new album will be released via Gibson Records, the recently launched label from Gibson, the iconic American instrument brand, alongside a strategic partnership with BMG.

When the Gibson deal was first announced in July, Slash said in a statement: "It's an honor to be the first release on the new Gibson Records. It's a zenith in our partnership for sure and having worked so closely with Gibson for so long, I know they will be a label that genuinely supports their artists creatively. Not just me, but all the artists they choose to work with. It's perfect."

Last December, Slash told Cleveland.com that SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS had written 20 songs during "a week of initial pre-production" for the band's next LP.

In November 2019, Slash told "The Marshall Podcast" that the road was "the only place" he and THE CONSPIRATORS "really do get a chance to work" on new music. "If we're doing theaters and arenas and all that kind of stuff, we have our soundchecks, so I work on that stuff during that time," he said. "Because that's when I do all the writing — during the road trip. So when the tour is over, at some point, we all get together and we revisit all that material that we worked on while we were on the road. Which is actually what all the records we've done so far are a culmination of."

Complicating the creative process is the fact that Myles Kennedy and THE CONSPIRATORS don't live in the same town as Slash. "Myles is in Washington state, and I'm in L.A. and the rest of the guys are in [Las] Vegas," Slash explained. "So I fly everybody to L.A. and we'll stay there and we'll do pre-production and go in and do a record. But now that GUNS N' ROSES has become a thing, I have to do that. But I will have accumulated enough material out [out on the road] that when the time comes to work on CONSPIRATORS stuff, I already have the material."

Speaking in more detail about how songs come together with THE CONSPIRATORS, Slash said: "We write the whole time. I write the music ideas, and then I'll bring it into a soundcheck situation. For me, the most important thing is the drums. So I'll start working on an idea with Brent, as well as Todd, and even Frank — we'll all stand there together and do it. And then just see if it catches, if it's a cool idea with all the other instruments involved. That's the thing about guitar players — you write bitchin' guitar stuff all day long, but is it a song? So we start working it up. And then Myles will be there and he'll catch it and maybe start recording something into his phone. And we'll just sort of get the nucleus of an idea, and in some cases work on it for a few days until we have an arrangement. And then there's some stuff that we didn't ever get to play in soundcheck that I recorded on my phone in my room and I'll bring that up later."

In September 2019, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS released "Living The Dream Tour" on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2 CD, 3LP black vinyl, limited-edition 3LP red vinyl, digital video and digital audio via Eagle Vision. The set was shot on location on February 20, 2019 at London, England's Eventim Apollo.

DAVID ELLEFSON To Co-Produce Documentary About Late MEGADETH Drummer NICK MENZA

DAVID ELLEFSON To Co-Produce Documentary About Late MEGADETH Drummer NICK MENZA

Screaming Butterfly Entertainment has announced a partnership with former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson and his Ellefson Films on the upcoming feature-length documentary "This Was My Life: The Story Of Nick Menza". Ellefson has signed on as a co-producer of the film, and also will provide narration to guide the viewer through the exploration of the late MEGADETH drummer's life.

Ellefson stated in 40-second promo clip that can be seen below: "I am proud to announce I will narrate/co-produce the upcoming documentary film 'This Was My Life: The Story Of Nick Menza' and I look forward to sharing together with you the life story of one of music's most celebrated rock star drummers of all time, Nick Menza."

Menza's longtime personal manager Robert Bolger said: "I am very happy to connect David Ellefson with Screaming Butterfly Entertainment to narrate/co-produce the project. Ellefson's involvement and knowledge will secure the authenticity of the film. They both spent a lot of personal time together touring world, and if anyone knew Nick best, it's David Ellefson.

"Nick loved his fans and always said without the fans none this would be possible. I really think Nick's fans will enjoy this journey through his life."

Executive producer/director Holly Mollohan from Screaming Butterfly Entertainment added: "I am very happy to welcome David Ellefson to the 'This Was My Life' team. He brings with him a wealth of in-depth knowledge and personal experience that will be so valuable to making this film something very special for the fans and Nick's family. I believe that his involvement will be an extremely positive addition to the project, and am excited to collaborate with him on the film."

In conjunction with the announcement of Ellefson's attachment to the film, an Indiegogo campaign has been launched to raise funding for the completion of the film. Fans have the opportunity to support the production of the film directly, as well as obtain some rare official Nick Menza memorabilia. These items include various Nick Menza personally owned items — some with authentic signatures from Nick himself. In addition to memorabilia, fans can purchase brand new Nick Menza merchandise including hats, posters, and even Nick Menza skateboard decks. Fans can even have their names and a message added to the end credits of the film.

The campaign can be found at this location and is now live.

"This Was My Life" will be the first-ever film to memorialize Menza's legacy and celebrate his life exactly how it was. It is described in a press release as "an unflinching exploration into the life of one of the most successful thrash-metal drummers of all time, authorized by the Menza family. From his childhood all the way through to the end of his life including a true blow-by-blow account of the repeated failed attempts of the classic 'Rust In Peace' lineup."

"This Was My Life" will feature rare and never-before-seen photos and video footage from Nick's archived VHS tape collection, personally filmed by Menza himself from 1988 through 1991. Included will be exclusive content showcasing Nick working at the studio, personal home movies, casual time and party time with his fellow bandmembers, as well as other well-known artists of the era that Nick toured with. A screenshot from the film was recently released that featured an interview with former LAMB OF GOD/MEGADETH drummer Chris Adler.

Late in the evening on May 21, 2016, Nick collapsed after suffering a heart attack during a concert with Chris Poland and Robertino "Pag" Pagliari in their band OHM: at The Baked Potato in Studio City, California and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said Menza died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' DEAN DELEO Is 'Still Trying To Make Heads Or Tails' Of What Went Down During Pandemic

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' DEAN DELEO Is 'Still Trying To Make Heads Or Tails' Of What Went Down During Pandemic

In a new interview with Ned of the Waterloo, Iowa radio station Rock 108, Dean DeLeo, guitarist and songwriter from STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, was asked how he and his bandmates dealt with the coronavirus downtime. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Honestly, we haven't toured since the summer of '19. We toured extensively for 2019 — we went around the globe I think three times. We kind of finished up with a great tour with the great RIVAL SONS. And we were starting to gear up for another round of it for 2020, and then February of 2020 hits and the whole bottom falls out."

He continued: "I don't even know where to begin. It was just so sad on so many levels what was going down in our world, and trying to make heads or tails… I'm still trying to make heads or tails out of all of it, like, 'What happened here?' For me personally, there was something that I kind of enjoyed during the pandemic; I wound up making a record virtually," he added, referencing TRIP THE WITCH, his collaborative project with renowned Nashville session player Tom Bukovac, which recently released its self-titled debut LP.

"Trip The Witch" was written and recorded entirely online during the pandemic, with the pair sending videos back and forth, building ideas. The album's opening track, "Saturn We Miss You", is highlighted by the inimitable vocals of legendary YES frontman Jon Anderson.

Singer Jeff Gutt joined STONE TEMPLE PILOTS four years ago. His recording debut with the group was on its self-titled seventh LP, which arrived in March 2018.

Gutt, a 45-year-old Michigan native who spent time in the early-2000s nu-metal act DRY CELL, among other bands, and was a contestant on "The X Factor", joined STONE TEMPLE PILOTS in 2017 after beating out roughly 15,000 hopefuls during an extended search that began more than a year earlier.

Original STONE TEMPLE PILTOS singer Scott Weiland, who reunited with the group in 2010 after an eight-year hiatus but was dismissed in 2013, died in December 2015 of a drug overdose.

Chester Bennington, who joined STP in early 2013, departed nearly three years later to spend more time with his main band LINKIN PARK. Bennington committed suicide in July 2017.

Watch SKID ROW Perform At OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR

Watch SKID ROW Perform At OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR

Fan-filmed video footage of SKID ROW's September 25 performance on the Chickasaw Country Entertainment Stage at the 2021 Oklahoma State Fair can be seen below.

Two months ago, SKID ROW celebrated the 30th anniversary of its classic second album, "Slave To The Grind", by performing it in its entirety at The Amphitheater at Rolling Hills Casino And Resort in Corning, California.

Last summer, SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" that he and his bandmates would embark on a "Slave To The Grind" 30th-anniversary tour in 2021. "We'll do the album in its entirety, and then we're gonna do a bunch of stuff to coincide with it," he said. "We're pretty psyched, and the shows are booked. We're keeping our fingers crossed that everything is gonna come to pass… It'll be cool, to go out there and do 'Slave To The Grind' top to the bottom. That'll be fun."

According to Bolan, SKID ROW didn't celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's self-titled debut album in 2019 because "the timing didn't really work out. We had so much other stuff planned, and then all of a sudden, boom, it was here," he explained. "Maybe down the road [we'll celebrate it]. Maybe [for the] 40th [anniversary]. [Laughs]"

As previously reported, former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach is also celebrating the "Slave To The Grind" anniversary on a U.S. tour this fall. He is performing the LP in its entirety at all shows on the trek, which kicked off last night (Friday, October 1) in Grapevine, Texas.

Bach previously performed "Slave To The Grind" in its entirety in October 2019 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California. Earlier that fall, he completed a U.S. tour during which he celebrated the 30th anniversary of SKID ROW's self-titled debut album.

Bach fronted SKID ROW until 1996, when he was fired. Instead of throwing in the towel, the remaining members took a hiatus and went on to play briefly in a band called OZONE MONDAY.

In 1999, SKID ROW reformed and, after a bit of shuffling over the years, featured a lineup consisting of Bolan and guitarists Sabo and Scotti Hill, alongside Hammersmith and singer Johnny Solinger.

SKID ROW fired Solinger over the phone in April 2015, a few hours before announcing ex-TNT vocalist Tony Harnell as his replacement. Eight months later, Harnell exited the band and was replaced by South African-born, British-based singer ZP Theart, who previously fronted DRAGONFORCE, TANK and I AM I.

SOLAR CROSS Feat. OMNIUM GATHERUM Alumni To Release Echoes Of The Eternal World Debut; New Track Streaming

SOLAR CROSS Feat. OMNIUM GATHERUM Alumni To Release Echoes Of The Eternal World Debut; New Track Streaming

Finnish progressive death metal trio Solar Cross, featuring former members of Omnium Gatherum, will release their Echoes Of The Eternal Word debut full-length on November 19th via Transcending Records.

Since prehistoric times, a cross within a circle has been a symbol for wholeness. It represents the great cycle of being, the mythic Eternal Return. This powerful primordial symbolism can be heard in the music of Solar Cross: straightforward yet nuanced metal with lyrics that draw inspiration from Finnish folklore and personal ritual relationship with natural cycles.

Formed by a triumvirate of the brothers Harri Pikka, Lauri Pikka, and Jarmo Pikka, the archetypal quaternity is completed by the lyricist, author Matti Rautaniemi. The band’s impending debut album, Echoes Of The Eternal Word, crosses the boundaries between ancient and modern. It strikes deep into the most primal layers of its listener’s soul.

In advance of the record’s release, today the band unleashes first single, “Bloodstreams.”

Comments guitarist Harri Pikka of the track, " ‘Bloodstreams’ is the first ever song written, recorded, and mixed for Solar Cross so it's justified to go out first. Vocalist Lauri [Pikka] did some experimental percussive breathing exercises throughout the song creating this saw-like rhythm. The song leans on a steady shamanic groove of the beginning and the end, the adventurous thrash middle section ups the ante. The visualizer video goes well with the mood of the song."

Adds lyricist Matti Rautaniemi, “The idea for ‘Bloodstreams’ came from participating in a shamanic workshop, during which I experienced these lines of ancestral blood as an infinite rhizome of red streams — like a network of veins but extending far beyond my body. The song is about the fact that each one of us is connected to this vast network of ancestors. If we acknowledge this, and cultivate a reciprocal relationship with our roots, we can receive nourishment and support fro

AQUILUS – “Into Wooded Hollows” Video Streaming

Legendary atmospheric metal band Aquilus has revealed a video for “Into Wooded Hollows,” the first single from the highly anticipated album Bellum I, available December 3 via Blood Music.

Watch the video, shot in Hungary by No Total Films, below.

“For their concept, the old women lighting a fire in the dark represents death,” say Aquilus’s Horace Rosenqvist. “The young woman washing her clothes in the water at sunset represents life and rebirth.”

“Into Wooded Hollows” is the first new music from the enigmatic band since the release of Griseus, an album that became one of the most whispered-about secrets in the metal scene, following its quiet release a decade ago. Ten years in the making, Bellum I continues Aquilus’s signature blend of acoustic elements with an assortment of acoustic guitars and pianos to violins, mandolas, fipple flutes, balalaika, gusli and bowed psaltery, recalling the aura and dexterity of emotive film composers Bernard Herrmann and Thomas Newman. Once work began, the opus grew so furiously that the decision was ultimately made to split it into two parts, beginning with Bellum I. Bellum I is a stunning tribute to perfection. and a testament to the beauty and chaos of creation.

“‘Bellum I’ is an atmospheric metal album with a fusion of classical/film, folk and black metal influences, continuing in the tradition of the work started on the first album, ‘Griseus,’ and evolving to new levels,” Rosenqvist says.

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Aquilus's music is composed and produced by one person - Horace Rosenqvist - recorded in collaboration with session musicians. The amount of detail poured into each note is immeasurable. Years of dedication were undertaken to produce the finest works.

Bellum I is a stunning tribute to perfection. A testament to the beauty and chaos of creation.

Finland's FEAROUT Release New Single / Video "Point Blank Range"

Finland's FEAROUT Release New Single / Video "Point Blank Range"

Finnish Helsinki-based metal band Fearout is set to release their debut album, Bleedthrough, on November 5th, 2021 via Inverse Records. The band released their second single, "Point Blank Range" along with an official music video. Check it out below.

Singer Justus Latvala comments: "'Point Blank Range' is a little bit older song. I think I sent the first demo to the band in 2015. Then we spent five years trying to get lead vocal melodies right. We always thought that the song contained good riffs and rhythms and it had potential, but I never really nailed the vocals until last December.

'Point Blank Range' was the first song that we mixed for the album and we spent quite some time to get the guitar sound right. And actually, re-recorded all the guitars four or five times because we weren't satisfied with the sound.

The song deals with the consequences of the choices that we make. It raises the question that if you had a chance, would you make the same choices and do the same mistakes all over again. Which one is more important: the journey or the destination?"

THULCANDRA Release "Nocturnal Heresy" Single And Music Video

THULCANDRA Release "Nocturnal Heresy" Single And Music Video

After the announcement of their new album, A Dying Wish, alongside freezing album opener and first single “Funeral Pyre”, black/death metal veterans Thulcandra leave no time to catch your breath with the drop of one of the album’s key standouts, second single, “Nocturnal Heresy”.

Thulcandra deliver another deadly statement of true Swedish death metal alongside a hard hitting music video. “Nocturnal Heresy” combines destructive guitar riffs with stomping beats that withstand even the fiercest blizzard. Together with the grim growls of Steffen Kummerer, “Nocturnal Heresy” is a dangerous banger with several doom metal passages that create a dark, ruthless wall of sound.

Steffen Kummerer on “Nocturnal Heresy”: “'Nocturnal Heresy' marks another filthy cut of our upcoming album A Dying Wish. With the combination of our very own sound with a long lasting middle section we turn down the everlasting speed to show you a different side of Thulcandra. 'Nocturnal Heresy' will become part of our release tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland later the year.”

Watch the music video for "Nocturnal Heresy”:

A Dying Wish will be released on October 29 via Napalm Records - once again carrying the burning torch of the glorious death metal era.

Since their foundation by Obscura mastermind Steffen Kummerer in 2003, Thulcandra has become an indispensable protagonist in the European extreme metal-sphere that reaches way back to the magnificent origins of their genre. Thulcandra are musically and visually shaped by bands like Entombed, Sacramentum and Unanimated, but mainly influenced by genre carving act Dissection.

A Dying Wish was produced at Unisound Studio by Dan Swanö, keeping the black flame of Jon Nödtveidt alive and worthy. A Dying Wish transports the listener right into an icy soundscape of a never ending, severe winter. With 10 blood-freezing tracks delivering clashing guitar riffs, epic slow moments driven by atmospheric acoustic guitars and rapid outbursts of dark and raspy screams, Thulcandra creates another record that continues the great legacy of true death metal.

A Dying Wish guarantees instant frostbites just as the first glance at the thrilling icy-blue cover artwork promises. After the listener is buried under the opener’s avalanche, Thulcandra spans a dark arc between acoustic interludes and harsh blackened death metal parts. The quiet interlude “In Bleak Misery” marches into “A Shining Abyss”, that guides its listeners like a torch through the night. Dramatic riffing and the screeching growls of Steffen Kummerer create dark and dense walls of sound as up-tempo tracks like “The Slivering Silver” and “Devouring Darkness” offer strong leads, driving riffs and engaging drums that let the storm rage on without mercy. The final, title track “A Dying Wish” provides a great finale that covers everyone and everything under a massive layer of cold, leaving the world behind in nothing but ice and snow.

Thulcandra on the album: “We return with an album full of eerie cold melodies, ice-cold vibes and an over the top production by Swedish legend Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios! Within the first album in 5 years we celebrate the essence of pure black & death metal, adorned with more twin guitars, blast beats and filthy arrangements than ever. We celebrate the release of A Dying Wish with excessive shows and embark on a European tour to perform for all our loyal fans and supporters in the upcoming months.”

A Dying Wish will be available in the following formats:

BORNHOLM Unveil New Single And Music Video "Spiritual Warfare"

BORNHOLM Unveil New Single And Music Video "Spiritual Warfare"

With over 20 years of experience and five studio albums under their belts, Hungarian black/pagan metal outfit, Bornholm, are no longer strangers to the scene. Today, the band presents the second single, “Spiritual Warfare”, from their Napalm Records debut and fifth studio album, Apotheosis, out November 5.

With “Spiritual Warfare", Bornholm present a nearly melodic facet of their sonic spectrum - mixing their trademark black metal sound with dashes of pagan and folk metal whilst prominent frantic drumming and forceful riffing underlines their somber side.

Ever since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Bornholm has been an unstoppable force in the black and pagan metal realms, touring with household names like Ex Deo, Varg, Arkona and many more. With their upcoming offering, Apotheosis, the unit is ready to take its career to another level and set the stage with sinister first single “I Am War God”. Mixing significant, ground-shaking black metal elements, ruthless growling and heroic pagan accents, the band absolutely showcases their variety and sonic progression.

Bornholm's guitarist/vocalist Sahsnot on “Spiritual Warfare”: "This song is a special song for me, in addition to hitherto unusual musical solutions, it also displays a lyrical apocalyptic vision. It contains biblical references, abstract visions, ritual magic. Behind the scenes of the physical world, warfare always takes place primarily among spiritual forces, which is the real driving force behind. This causes changes in the visible world. Which side is which is not so clear-cut, whether there are any sides at all or just one will. While it’s not a fast track, it still has the fastest part on the album. The cover painting is my work, just like all the visuals related to the album, it was brought to life greatly."

Watch the music video for “Spiritual Warfare”:

Bornholm merges atmospheric black and pagan metal into a sphere of obscurity.

Apotheosis not only showcases Bornholm's tonal development, but also goes back to the origins of the band’s history and the heavy, often almost doomy influences mixed with indispensable atmospherically dark and raw flavor. Accompanied by sinister sacral sounds of historic proportions and a hypnotizing, incantatory chant, intro track "I Divine" heralds the dark ride to nowhere. It is precisely in the void between pagan and black metal that the sound finds its home, with tracks like “Spiritual Warfare” and “Black Shining Cloaks” - the latter of which featuring a magnificent guitar solo by Mike Wead (Mercyful Fate/King Diamond) - including its diabolic, atmospheric intro, “The Key to the Shaft of the Abyss”, representing the mellowness and extremes of the band. Along with the almost melodic borrowings and acoustic guitar inserts in combination with the pure rawness of “To the Fallen”, the record highlights the band’s variety and sonic progression. The title track “Apotheosis” is a slow, howling homage mixing aggressive, shrieking vocals and melodiously grim anecdotes. Album closer “Enthronement” closes the metaphorical and musical bracket and provides the 52-minute piece with a venerable, instrumental conclusion.

Bornholm add: “So the day has come, the new album is coming! Its title is Apotheosis, which is a Greek originated word meaning deification, divinization and the glorification of a human to a divine level. It contains 11 tracks and drives deeper into our musical world and soul than ever before. We had to deal with a lot of difficulties both in the studio and in our private life during the making, but somehow something was always guarding the birth of the record. Nothing stopped, not even for a single moment, no matter what happened. It was a great experience to go through this uprising while the world is going into another direction. We didn't lack anything; fate was with us - so the birth of the record was a sort of magical experience. Step by step, everything was in place in time and, without tolerating the outside world, we built another one for ourselves.”

On Apotheosis, the band has built a flowing, epochal sound concept that combines explosive guitar/bass lines with thunder-fast drums, spiced with choral elements and leading into a heavy blend, which Bornholm present successfully in all kinds of variations from track 1 to 11.

Recording and mixing took place at SuperSize Recording Studio in Hungary with the contribution of Viktor Scheer, with mastering completed by Maor Appelbaum, who has worked with bands like Dream Theater, Annihilator, Mayhem, Abbath and many more.

Apotheosis will be available in the following formats:

- CD Digipak
- 1LP Gatefold Black
- Digital Album

MARILYN MANSON's Lawyer Claims Videographer Consented To Bodily Fluid Exposure

MARILYN MANSON's Lawyer Claims Videographer Consented To Bodily Fluid Exposure

According to the Associated Press, an attorney for Marilyn Manson claims that a videographer who has accused the singer of spitting and blowing his nose on her during a concert in New Hampshire consented to being exposed to bodily fluids.

"The defendant's performance for the past twenty years are well known to include shocking and evocative antics similar to those that occurred here," Manson's attorney Kent Barker wrote in court documents. "The alleged victim consented to exposing herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva and phlegm in close quarters." The attorney also insisted that Manson's actions were unintentional.

Earlier this month, Manson's attorney entered a not guilty plea on the singer's behalf in a district court in New Hampshire. A case status hearing has been scheduled for December 27.

Manson was charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple assault. If convicted on the charges, Manson could face a jail sentence of up to one year and a fine of up to $2,000.

The shock-rocker, whose real name is Brian Warner, turned himself in two months ago in Los Angeles on an arrest warrant in the case. Manson then went through the Los Angeles Police Department's booking process before being released on personal recognizance bail. He has agreed to not commit any crimes while on release, not have any contact with the alleged victim, and to appear at all of his court hearings.

This past May, the Gilford Police Department announced that they had an active arrest warrant for Manson in connection with the incident, which occurred in August 2019.

According to the affidavit, Manson approached the videographer, whose company was contracted by the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion for the concert season the first time, put his face close to the camera and spat a "big lougee" at her. She was struck on both hands with saliva. The shock rocker allegedly returned a second time, covering one side of his nostril and blowing in the videographer's direction.

Manson performed in Gilford, New Hampshire on August 19, 2019 as part of the co-headlining "Hell Never Dies" tour with Rob Zombie.

In a statement, Manson's attorney Howard King said: "It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera. This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply. This whole claim is ludicrous, but we remain committed to cooperating with authorities, as we have done throughout."

Seemingly contradicting King's statement, three concert attendees — including a security guard — told People that they saw Manson spit and "shoot his snot" at the camerawoman.

"He was spitting everywhere and one time it got on her camera so she wiped it off and looked semi-irritated. He noticed this and kept purposely spitting on her camera," one attendee told People. "I think her final straw is he got on the floor, got within 2-3 feet of her and hacked a giant snot rocket at her not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she stormed off and he just laughed."

"I stopped listening to his music after that and told my husband I would never go to another one of his concerts again," she added.

A second attendee concurred, stating that he "bent down to shoot his snot all over this woman. I can remember him just laughing about what he did."

"I was right there when it happened, she was beyond furious when he did that to her," a third man, who works as a security guard at the venue, said. "He spit on her a couple of times and then leaned real close to the camera and blew a huge snot rocket on her. After he did that, she almost threw her camera right down on the ground."

IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON Says 'Nobody Had A Copy' Of 'Senjutsu' For Two Years After It Was Recorded

IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON Says 'Nobody Had A Copy' Of 'Senjutsu' For Two Years After It Was Recorded

In a new interview with Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show, IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson spoke about how he and his bandmates managed to keep the details of their new album, "Senjutsu", under wraps for more than two years after completing it in early 2019 during a break in their "Legacy Of The Beast" tour. Asked how he avoided the temptation to revisit and potentially reconfigure songs while waiting for the record to be released, Bruce said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Oh, we didn't have access to it — simple as that. None of us had a copy of the record because we knew we were gonna have to sit on the record for awhile and we were so paranoid about security and the Internet and people ripping it. As soon as you let the record be heard by anybody, you are at risk of of it leaking, you know? So, basically, apart from myself and Steve [Harris, MAIDEN bassist], nobody in the band heard it, 'cause they'd all gone home [after completing the recording sessions]. We mixed it, and I was in the studio when we finished the last track. And myself and Steve sat back and listened to the mix, and we listened to the mix again, and then that was it. And the next time I heard the album at all was, yeah, a couple of years later."

Asked if he had wanted to listen to "Senjutsu" at all during that time, Bruce said: "Yeah, of course, you're curious. [You're going], 'I'd just like to hear it,' but nobody had a copy — nobody. I mean, Steve, I think, had a copy and one copy locked on some secure laptop somewhere. And when he was mixing the live album 'Nights Of The Dead' that we put out, then I popped in while he was mixing it, and I said, 'Tell you what, while you're here, should we just spin up the album?' And he went, 'Yeah. Yeah. Go on.' And he'd only listened to it once since. So we put it out there, we [thought], 'You know what? This is pretty damn good.'

"I had a copy, kind of a low-res copy of [the first single] 'The Writing On The Wall' that they shipped over to me because as I was doing this storyboard [for the music video], I said, 'Okay, I know I wrote the words, I said, 'but I can't remember every single note of all the bits that went in the middle. I actually do need a copy of the damn song if we're gonna do a storyline or the storyboards for the video.' And they went, 'Oh, okay then. ' But yeah, we were really, really tight on security for that."

"Senjutsu" was released on September 3 via BMG. IRON MAIDEN's first LP in six years was recorded in Paris with longstanding producer Kevin Shirley and co-produced by Harris. It was preceded in July by a highly acclaimed animated video for "The Writing On The Wall" made by BlinkInk based on a concept by Dickinson with two former Pixar executives. It followed a month-long teaser campaign and global "treasure hunt" for clues about the track title and concept.

For "Senjutsu" — loosely translated as "tactics and strategy" — the band once again enlisted the services of Mark Wilkinson to create the spectacular Samurai themed cover artwork, based on an idea by Harris. With a running time of a little under 82 minutes, "Senjutsu", like their previous record "The Book Of Souls", is a double CD/triple vinyl album.

"Senjutsu" marks MAIDEN's sixth album to be produced by Shirley, who has worked with MAIDEN for the past two decades.

TED NUGENT Calls Vaccinated People 'Stupid', Likens Them To Sheep (Video)

TED NUGENT Calls Vaccinated People 'Stupid', Likens Them To Sheep (Video)

Ted Nugent has once again said that he won't take the COVID-19 vaccine because the shots that are available in the United States were developed in less than a year are probably fake.

Like antivaccine activists, talk show hosts, and far-right politicians, Ted — who spoke openly about his battle with COVID-19 six months ago — has made the vaccines' "experimental" nature a talking point.

During an October 1 appearance on "Off The Record", a weekly coverage of Michigan's governor's office, the state legislature, the political campaign trail and state government, Ted said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I actually think that the COVID-19 might be a weaponized virus created in Wuhan [China] by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and [Doctor Anthony] Fauci. How silly of me.

"Listen, I got the Wuhan weaponized virus, and I survived quite nicely after a couple of days because I did what the government told me not to do, which is what I always do," he continued. "Because what the government tells you to do is always the wrong thing. I took hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, steroids and zinc and continued with my healthy lifestyle, being clean and sober and eating venison. And my wife and I recovered in just a few days, which means we have the antibodies and that we have a strengthened and fortified immune system against experimental shots."

The outspoken conservative rocker, who said he was sharing "truth, logic, and common sense with people who care," doubled down on his assertion that the COVID-19 vaccines are not real. "It's not a vaccine," he said. "It's an experimental shot. Now the FDA was forced to authorize it recently, but they were jabbing people with an experimental shot right up until that fake authorization.

"I work with dedicated medical professionals, scientists, biologists and virologists, and there's an army consisting of tens of thousands of professional health masters who call it an experimental shot. And you shouldn't get it if you don't wanna get it.

"I don't believe it's a vaccine," he reiterated. "Most of America doesn't believe it's a vaccine. The only ones that are taking it are either gullible or being forced because they're gonna lose their job, lose their life and lose their livelihood.

"This is a tragic time in America. It's an experimental shot, and if you try to give it to me, I'll experiment on you."

Asked what he would say to the people who believe it's a worthwhile vaccine and it's saving lives, Ted said: "I appreciate the opportunity to speak to the people that went ahead and got the jab. I speak their language. I will speak to them thusly: Baaaaaah," he said, imitating a sheep. "Baaaaaah. Baaaaaah. Baaaaaah. They understand that."

When senior Capitol correspondent Tim Skubick asked Nugent point blank if he believes that the millions of people who got the shot are "just stupid," Ted replied: "Yup." He then clarified that he has "buddies" and "family" members "who took it because of the overwhelming pressure and the propaganda pounding and the fear that has been cultivated by this out-of-control treasonous government. [You] can call this rhetoric, but this is the pulse of thinking, critical-thinking America and critical-thinking people around the world. The evidence that supports every word I speak outweighs the evidence that you're alluding to. So I'm not alone here.

"This isn't radical stuff," Ted added. "This is critical thinking based on science, based on medical professionals who are very dedicated, and I take their advice. It's an experimental shot. Don't come near me with your needle."

About 55.8% of the nation's population (185.2 million people) are currently fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, while 64.7% (214.9 million people) have received at least one shot, according to data from the CDC.

More than 700,000 people have died from the coronavirus in the U.S.

In April, Nugent talked about the darkest days of his battle with COVID-19, saying that he had "never been so scared" in his entire life. The 72-year-old pro-gun activist, who had previously claimed the virus was "not a real pandemic," said: "It was really scary. I didn't think I was gonna make it. I literally couldn't function for about 20 hours, and then they came and they rescued me… The six-foot-two, 225-pound headache [this time] was like nothing I have ever experienced. I mean, from my tip of my toes to the top of my hair, I literally was dizzy and weak and struggled to get up to go to the bathroom. And I would lay in the bathtub a couple of times a day with the water as hot as I could take it just to divert."

Ted also said that he was being treated for COVID-19 by a group of doctors who made a video last year calling for the use of hydroxychloroquine to battle the novel coronavirus, despite warnings from public health experts. Nugent went on to detail his clinical management of COVID-19, saying he was taking hydroxychloroquine, "a proven drug for 65 years," as well as ivermectin, "another proven drug."

Hydroxychloroquine is the malaria drug pushed by then-president Donald Trump that proved ineffective against COVID-19. In April 2020, the Food and Drug Administration issued a safety warning, saying the drugs could cause heart-rhythm problems and warning they should be used only in the hospital setting or in clinical trials.

Ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug used to treat several neglected tropical diseases in humans is also used in veterinary medicine. According to The Washington Post, the Food and Drug Administration said at least three people were hospitalized in February after taking the veterinary formulation. It warned that high doses can cause allergic reactions, seizures, liver injury and even death.

In the past, Nugent, a staunch Donald Trump supporter, had referred to the virus as a "leftist scam to destroy" America's 45th president. He had also repeated a narrative pushed by conservative media and disputed by health experts that suggests the official death count from the coronavirus is inflated.

ACE FREHLEY Says He's On Good Terms With PAUL STANLEY And GENE SIMMONS, Doesn't Rule Out KISS Reunion

ACE FREHLEY Says He's On Good Terms With PAUL STANLEY And GENE SIMMONS, Doesn't Rule Out KISS Reunion

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has once again said that he is up for a reunion of the original band, but only if the price is right. During an appearance earlier today (Thursday, September 16) on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk", Frehley stated about the chances of him playing with his former bandmates: "Anything's possible — I've always said that. That's the first question so many people have asked me over the years: 'Would you ever consider doing a KISS reunion?' I said, 'I never closed the door on anything.' If the money's right and it's presented to me in the right way, anything can happen.

"I'm on good terms with Paul [Stanley, guitar/vocals] and Gene [Simmons, bass/vocals], which is nice, because we created something really special in the early '70s that has outlasted so many other bands. And God bless 'em. They're still doing it; I'm still doing it. Peter [Criss, drums] is still around. I'm not quite sure why Peter hadn't toured over the years as much as I have, but it is what it is."

In the three years since KISS announced its "End Of The Road" farewell tour, fans wondered openly if original members Frehley and Criss would be involved in the trek, especially considering the apparent recent goodwill between Stanley and Simmons and Frehley. Ace's latest collection of original material, "Spaceman" — a title suggested by Simmons himself — featured two songs the pair wrote together, and the duo completed a joint summer 2018 tour of Australia, after which Frehley fired his solo backing band and hired Simmons's.

Three years ago, Frehley told VintageRock.com that "the only way" he would "seriously consider" taking part in "End Of The Road" is "if I took back my make-up and costume and my character — which I designed." He added that current KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer "is not a bad guitar player, but he basically just mimics everything I wrote, and tries to imitate my persona. He's been doing it for 15 years," he said. "But the reality is I'm the original guy. And nobody can really copy the way I play guitar."

Asked if he would still consider participating in the tour if Criss was not involved, Ace said: "I think it would be great if Peter was involved. Obviously, at this point in his life, he wouldn’t be able to do a two-hour show. But I can see if we worked out a situation where Peter came out at the end and did three or four songs — sang 'Beth', did 'Black Diamond' and a couple of others, I think that would be fun."

KISS's current lineup consists of original members Simmons and Stanley, alongside later band additions, Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).

Formed in 1973 by Stanley, Simmons, Criss and Frehley, KISS staged its first "farewell" tour in 2000, the last to feature the group's original lineup.

Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist CHRIS POLAND Says He Doesn't Miss Playing With The Band

Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist CHRIS POLAND Says He Doesn't Miss Playing With The Band

In a new interview with DEATH ANGEL's Ted Aguilar as part of the "Alive & Streaming" YouTube series, former MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland was asked if he misses playing with the Dave Mustaine-fronted band. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I really loved playing in MEGADETH. It was just there was so much drama all the time that I couldn't deal with it. Then, when they asked me to join the band [again in 1990 prior to the release of 'Rust In Peace'], I just couldn't, 'cause at the time, they were still using. All I had to do is be around people using that drug, and it wouldn't take but a month, two months, and I would know I would have done it again.

"It's Dave's thing, and I got put in a box and told what to do. It wasn't open enough for me. And it didn't get open until later when all these big bands started seeing therapists. If any band needed therapists, we did during the 'Peace Sells' era.

"I don't regret [playing in MEGADETH]. I don't really miss it. I could have made a lot of money, but I probably wouldn't have lived. So, I was lucky."

Poland was a member of MEGADETH from 1984 to 1987, during which time he performed on the band's classic albums "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!" and "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" He is also a featured soloist on the group's 2004 album, "The System Has Failed".

In a September 2020 interview with Darren Paltrowitz (host of the "Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz" podcast), Mustaine singled out Poland who famously sued Dave over the 2004 reissue of "Rust In Peace", which contained demos on which Chris performed.

"Chris Poland, as much as I don't really like the guy, he was a great guitar player, and I wanted to give him a shot when we did the 2004 reissues for 'Peace Sells' and 'Rust In Peace', and I wanted to put that song out on the 'Rust In Peace' reissue," Dave said. "He got involved in a nuisance lawsuit, I think it was, and we just ended our friendship. And I thought, 'God, that was such a waste.'

"There was a little teeny mountain that was right out by where we live, and I said I could have just as soon bought that piece of dirt there than sell Chris's friendship, and I'm so bummed that this happened," Mustaine added. "'Cause I thought it would have been terrific to have him on the record. [When] people say, 'Hey, this sounds like Marty Friedman.' No, Marty Friedman sounded like this, because Chris played it first."

Back in 2004, Poland and/or his management and attorney filed a lawsuit against Mustaine regarding the use of the three "Rust In Peace" demos on the album's reissue without Chris's permission. According to MEGADETH's webmaster, Mustaine included the demos because he thought Chris would be "thankful for the promotion, the tipping of the hat, and showing the fans how Marty [Friedman, MEGADETH's guitarist during some of the post-Poland years] had actually been influenced by some of Chris's solo selections for those songs." Chris also allegedly tried to sue Dave for defamation of character because Dave called him a "thief," but Chris's attorney "dropped that after he found out that Chris had actually taken the band's gear and sold it for drugs," according to MEGADETH's webmaster. "Remember, there is a confession in the VH1 'Behind the Music' on MEGADETH," the webmaster said.

Chris eventually settled for $9,500 and thereby ended a professional relationship with Dave and MEGADETH.

Poland discussed the legal issues surrounding the 2004 reissue of "Rust In Peace" in a 2018 interview with the As The Story Grows podcast. He said: "When I did 'The System Has Failed', [Dave] was working on adding the demos to a re-release of 'Rust In Peace'. And I wasn't going to get paid, but I didn't realize that until it came out. I was like, 'Wait a minute — I'm not getting paid for this.' And I tried to call Dave at least a dozen times, and I never heard back from him. Then I called Dave's manager a dozen times, and he wouldn't get back to me. The last time I called him, I said, 'Hey, man. If you don't call me back, I'm going to call [my lawyer], and we're going to have to get into it.' [The manager] calls me back and totally insults me, saying, 'You played a couple solos. So what?' And I'm like, 'What do you mean, 'So what?'' 'Well, Dave thought that you would do it for the fans.' I said, 'Okay. Is everybody else that played on that demo doing it for the fans? Are they getting paid?' He said, 'Chris, that's not the point.' I said, 'Listen, man, we have to do something here. I'm not just going to walk away. I love the fans, but I'm just not going to do it. If everybody else is getting a performance royalty for this, I want one.' I want everybody to know that it wasn't a nuisance suit, it wasn't anything like that. I made every attempt to work it out, and they just ignored me."

For the past couple of decades, Poland's main musical focus has been the fusion band OHM:, which has released several full-length studio albums to date.

Watch STEVEN ADLER Perform GUNS N' ROSES Classics At Minnesota's ROCKTEMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL

Watch STEVEN ADLER Perform GUNS N' ROSES Classics At Minnesota's ROCKTEMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL

Video footage of Steven Adler's September 11 performance at the Rocktember Music Festival in Hinckley, Minnesota can be seen below. Joining the former GUNS N' ROSES drummer in his group are Ariel Kamin, the singer of Argentinian GN'R tribute band SON OF A GUN, plus guitarists Michael Thomas and Alistair James, and bassist Todd Kerns (filling in for Tanya O Callaghan).

Kamin replaced Constantine Maroulis of "American Idol" and "Rock Of Ages" fame, who was the vocalist for ADLER'S APPETITE for a dozen or so dates in May 2018, including an Australian tour.

Steven previously played with Ariel when the drummer joined SON OF GUN on stage in November 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to perform several GN'R classics, including "You Could Be Mine" and "Welcome To The Jungle".

Although he wasn't included in the lineup that launched the "Not In This Lifetime" trek in 2016, Adler rejoined GUNS N' ROSES at several shows on the tour, including three stops on the U.S. leg and one gig in Buenos Aires, Argentina, playing drums on "Out Ta Get Me" and "My Michelle".

In February 2017, Adler revealed that he was originally supposed to appear at more than just a handful of shows on the GUNS N' ROSES reunion trek. He claimed that he expected to play all the "Appetite For Destruction" material during the entire tour, only to be told he was out after he hurt his back during rehearsals.

Speculation was rampant that Adler would participate in at least a portion of the reunion tour ever since GUNS made it official in January 2016. The regular GUNS drummer for several years has been Frank Ferrer, who is also part of the current lineup.

Dream Theater - comprised of James LaBrie, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung and Mike Mangini - was in the middle of a sold-out world tour in support of their last release Distance Over Time and the 20th anniversary of Scenes From A Memory when a Global Pandemic brought the world to a stop. The musicians found themselves at home with LaBrie in Canada and the rest of the group in the States. As fate would have it, they’d just finished construction on DTHQ (Dream Theater Headquarters) - a combination live recording studio, rehearsal space, control room, equipment storage, and creative hive. With LaBrie in Canada, he initially wrote with the band via ZOOM on a monitor in DTHQ. In March 2021, he flew down to New York, quarantined, and recorded his vocals face-to-face with Petrucci. The album ultimately threaded together lean and uncompromising hooks with tried-and-true technical proficiency.

“We just love to play our instruments,” observes Petrucci. “That never goes away. I love to be creative, write, and exercise that part of my mind. We’ve been able to do this for a long time, and we don’t take it for granted. Whenever we get together, we know we can’t disappoint ourselves or our fans, so we manage to try even harder.”

“We approach every album like it’s our first,” adds LaBrie. “It’s been such a great ride, but we’re not going to stop.”

DAVE GROHL Says He Has 'Many Ideas' For New 'Nevermind' Cover In Wake Of Child Sexual Exploitation Lawsuit

DAVE GROHL Says He Has 'Many Ideas' For New 'Nevermind' Cover In Wake Of Child Sexual Exploitation Lawsuit

Dave Grohl says that he is open to the idea of changing the cover of "Nevermind" for any subsequent reissues of the iconic NIRVANA album.

The former NIRVANA drummer touched upon the prospect of a new "Nevermind" cover while speaking to The Sunday Times about the lawsuit filed by Spencer Elden, the man who claims he was the baby featured in the image, against the surviving members of NIRVANA as well as the estate of Kurt Cobain. Elden alleges the photo of the baby reaching for a dollar in a swimming pool violated federal child pornography statutes and argues child sexual exploitation.

Regarding the "Nevermind" artwork, Grohl said: "I have many ideas of how we should alter that cover, but we'll see what happens. We'll let you know. I'm sure we'll come up with something good."

As for how the lawsuit might pan out, Grohl said that he isn't overly concerned. "I think that there's much more to look forward to and much more to life than getting bogged down in those kinds of things," he explained. "And, fortunately, I don't have to do the paperwork."

A month after filing his lawsuit, Elden, who is now 30, requested his genitalia be removed from "all future album covers" on the 30th anniversary of the project.

"Today, like each year on this date, our client Spencer Elden has had to brace himself for renewed unwanted attention from the media and fans alike throughout the world," his attorneys told USA Today. "This is a choice that he has never had."

The attorneys said that they plan on continuing the legal proceedings in order to "bring long-awaited privacy and dignity back to our client."

"We implore the NIRVANA defendants to right the wrongs of their past, by acknowledging the harm they have perpetrated and redacting the image of Mr. Elden's genitalia from further reproductions of 'Nevermind' because behind every cover is a person pleading for their privacy back," they added.

A deluxe 30th-anniversary reissue of "Nevermind" is due on November 12. Pre-orders for the set still show the album with its original cover artwork.

In Elden's complaint filed in Los Angeles federal court, which also named photographer Kirk Weddle and the various record companies behind the album's release, Elden claimed that his "identity and legal name are forever tied to the commercial sexual exploitation he experienced as a minor which has been distributed and sold worldwide from the time he was a baby to the present day."

According to the suit, the defendants "knowingly produced, possessed, and advertised commercial child pornography depicting Spencer, and they knowingly received value in exchange for doing so. … Despite this knowledge, defendants failed to take reasonable steps to protect Spencer and prevent his widespread sexual exploitation and image trafficking."

Elden claimed that his parents never signed a release authorizing the use of the photos, which were taken in a Pasadena aquatic center in 1990. He alleges that the band promised to cover his genitals with a sticker, which was never incorporated into the album art.

"To ensure the album cover would trigger a visceral sexual response from the viewer, Weddle activated Spencer's 'gag reflex' before throwing him underwater in poses highlighting and emphasizing Spencer's exposed genitals," the complaint stated.

The suit further alleged the defendants "used child pornography depicting Spencer as an essential element of a record promotion scheme commonly utilized in the music industry to get attention, wherein album covers posed children in a sexually provocative manner to gain notoriety, drive sales, and garner media attention, and critical reviews."

Elden is seeking damages of either $150,000 from each of the 17 defendants or unspecified damages to be determined at trial, attorney fees, an injunction to prohibit all parties "from continuing to engage in the unlawful acts and practices described herein," and a trial by jury.

"The permanent harm he has proximately suffered includes but is not limited to extreme and permanent emotional distress with physical manifestations, interference with his normal development and educational progress, lifelong loss of income earning capacity, loss of past and future wages, past and future expenses for medical and psychological treatment, loss of enjoyment of life, and other losses to be described and proven at trial of this matter," the lawsuit stated.

Elden's parents were reportedly paid only $200 for the photos, and the shoot lasted around 15 seconds.

In a 2016 interview with Time magazine, Elden said: "It's a trip. Everyone involved in the album has tons and tons of money. I feel like I'm the last little bit of grunge rock. I'm living in my mom's house and driving a Honda Civic.

"It's hard not to get upset when you hear how much money was involved," Elden added. "I go to a baseball game and think about it: 'Man, everybody at this baseball game has probably seen my little baby penis,' I feel like I got part of my human rights revoked."

"Nevermind" has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and was certified diamond by the RIAA for sales in excess of 10 million copies in the U.S. al

DEE SNIDER Says DIO 'Wouldn't Move Any Of Their Equipment' When TWISTED SISTER Opened For Them In 1984

DEE SNIDER Says DIO 'Wouldn't Move Any Of Their Equipment' When TWISTED SISTER Opened For Them In 1984

In a new interview with Zoran Theodorovic of MetalgodZradiO, Dee Snider looked back on TWISTED SISTER's 1984 tour with IRON MAIDEN. "That's when tours were tours and men were men," the singer said. "There was no 'hair metal' — it was just 'metal.' In '84, when we toured with MAIDEN, it had not been branded 'hair metal.' So MÖTLEY CRÜE toured with Ozzy [Osbourne]. And that tour [with MAIDEN] was one of the great tours. Five nights sold out at the Long Beach Arena. We were the opening band, and it was packed. When we hit the stage, it was packed. Usually, the opening band, people show up late. No — everybody was there to see TWISTED; they were there to see MAIDEN."

According to Snider, TWISTED SISTER's 1984 tour with DIO was a far different experience. "DIO — and I love DIO and I love Ronnie [James Dio] — but when we toured with DIO, they wouldn't move any of their equipment, so we were forced onto the lip of the stage in front of the lights so you couldn't see us," he said. "We got no spotlights. They reduced the P.A. That's the way a lot of those old bands did it."

In 2016, TWISTED SISTER embarked on one final trek, titled "Forty And Fuck It", in celebration of its 40th anniversary. These shows featured the band's "core lineup" of Snider, guitarist Jay Jay French, guitarist Eddie Ojeda and bassist Mark Mendoza, along with drummer Mike Portnoy. The band's last-ever concert took place in November of that year — 20 months after the passing of TWISTED's longtime drummer A.J. Pero.

TWISTED SISTER's original run ended in the late '80s. After more than a decade, the band publicly reunited in November 2001 to top the bill of New York Steel, a hard-rock benefit concert to raise money for the New York Police And Fire Widows' And Children's Benefit Fund.

The surviving members of the classic lineup of TWISTED SISTER — Snider, French, Ojeda and Mendoza — reunited virtually on March 20 for a special episode of Mendoza's Internet TV show "22 Now". The hour-and-a-half-long program was a tribute to Pero, who died exactly six years earlier at the age of 55 while on tour with the band ADRENALINE MOB.

Prior to this past March's virtual reunion, the four surviving members of TWISTED SISTER reunited for two days and nights in November 2019 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the band's classic album "Stay Hungry".
