Exclusive: STATIC-X Frontman WAYNE STATIC Died After Mixing Alcohol And Prescription Drugs
The 48-year-old Static, whose real name was Wayne Richard Wells, was just getting ready to head out on co-headlining tours with POWERMAN 5000 and DROWNING POOL when he was found dead at his home in Landers, California on November 1, 2014.
BLABBERMOUTH.NET has obtained a copy of the official coroner's report which has just been released. The report states: "On November 1, at approximately 0700 hours, [Wayne] and his wife went to bed. His wife stated that just prior to going to bed, he crushed one-half of a 30 mg oxycodone pill and consumed it. The oxycodone had been prescribed to his wife. He also drank an unknown amount of alcohol. His wife awoke at around 1530 hours. She found the decedent dead in the bed and called 911 at 1547 hours. Paramedics arrived and confirmed death at 1600 hours, noting rigor mortis and lividity There was no evidence of foul play or any indication a struggle had taken place."
The report continues: "[Wayne's] wife said he took oxycodone, Xanax (alprazolam) and alcohol to relieve panic attacks. He took Xanax on a daily basis and was compliant with the prescribed dosage. His wife stated he would occasionally have his own prescription for oxycodone, but he would usually take hers. The decedent also had a history of gynecomastia… His wife stated both she and the decedent had a history of cocaine and ecstasy abuse, but they stopped using illicit drugs in 2009.
"The decedent's mother stated he was a self-admitted alcoholic. She believed his drinking had been a problem for about two years. Both his wife and his mother stated that he was not suicidal."
The official cause of death is listed on the coroner's report as "mixed prescription drug (oxycodone, hydromorphone, alprazolam) with alcohol toxicity, hours, due to chronic prescription drug and alcohol abuse, years." The "manner of death" is given as "natural."
Statements from both Static's widow, former porn star Tera Wray, and a publicist back in November dismissed rumors that his passing was the result of a drug overdose.
PAPA ROACH singer Jacoby Shaddix apologized for remarks he made shortly after Static's death, suggesting that Wayne's passing was caused by a drug overdose. Shaddix told Loudwire, "I read a blog online that said it was an O.D., and I posted online, ‘Too many dudes dying because of drugs. It's terrible.' Apparently, it's not drugs, so I put on my Facebook that I was incredibly sorry that I jumped the gun if that's not the truth. My heart goes out to his family, regardless. My intention wasn't to drag him through the mud or anything."
A native of Michigan who later moved to Chicago, Wayne Static founded STATIC-X in 1994 after the break-up of his previous band, DEEP BLUE DREAM. Static played in that group with SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan.
STATIC-X became one of the most popular acts in the so-called "nu metal" movement, selling more than one million copies of its 1999 debut, "Wisconsin Death Trip". The disc included the rock radio hit "Push It".
STATIC-X released five more studio albums, with the last being "Cult Of Static" in 2009. The band broke up shortly after that, reformed again with a new lineup in 2012, then disbanded permanently in June 2013.
Static released his first and only solo album, "Pighammer", in 2011.

наркоман запирается в отеле и целиком отдается во власть привычки. Здесь же медленное сползание обратно, что куда как более трагично...
Моя неприязнь к Полу Грею, например, базируется еще и на том, что он пошел долбаться в отель в то время как его жена была уже сильно беременной... (это как бы еще в контексте мнения, сугубо моего, что его группа состоит из м*даков более чем полностью). Тут есть разница. Уэйн никуда не пошел и тихо умер дома, так и не сумев преодолеть обрушившиеся на него проблемы.
Чужая душа - потемки, а такого творческого человека тем более.
Думаю, ему уже все равно кто и что о нем говорит и пишет, думаю, что и в жизни было все равно, как, наверное, и Полу Грэю. Это его выбор. У всех, как правило, предвзятое и стереотипное мнение о тех, кто "пьет" или "наркоман". Сделаешь правильно - скажут, что ты мудень, сделаешь неправильно - тоже. Все равно все будут сидеть и языком чесать, ведь люди так это любят. Он жил, как считал нужным.

вот именно, плюс безответственное отношение к себе и другим соответственно. такие качества мужчины всегда перечеркивают любые достижения.
одно дело, когда ты один, без семьи и детей, тогда хоть сразу в петлю лезь. Но когда ты берешь на себя ответственность за семью, ты уже не можешь жить, как считаешь нужным.
Можно подумать, что он знал, что таковым будет исход...
Кто-то всю жизнь пьет - и ничего, а у кого-то наоборот.
И все это "громкие красивые слова" про мужчин и т.д. уже даже не смешны. Если ты пьешь, но учишь ребенка хорошим вещам, честен с женой и просто стараешься в жизни вести себя честно и по совести, то это вот и есть ответственность. Никто не говорит, что пить - хорошо, но не надо из себя строить таких докторов и как бы правильных ребят.
Да и вообще,прежде, чем развешивать ярлыки и осуждать кого либо, нужно самому быть идеальным человеком. У каждого есть свои косяки, выраженные в более или менее негативном плане.

И да, тот, кто трындит про естественный отбор и "не жалко" в комментариях к новостям о чьей-то смерти, сам её и достоин в полной мере, даже будь он зож, фанатом нашей власти и т д
