MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist NIKKI SIXX On Legendary QUEEN Frontman - "FREDDIE MERCURY's Life Choices Were, In The End, What Killed Him"

Queen singer Freddie Mercury tragically passed away on November 24, 1991, from bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. Mötley Crüe biopic, The Dirt, premiers on Netflix today, March 22nd.

In an interview with Pollstar, Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx is asked how he would compare The Dirt to the hugely successful Queen film, Bohemian Rhapsody, and here's what he had to say:

"The Queen movie was important because it initiated conversations about gender identity in 2019. The interesting thing was Freddie [Mercury]’s life choices were, in the end, what killed him, but he brought a massive change in awareness. The music was wonderful - Queen is one of my favorite bands - but it also took to the masses an important dialogue that should be had right now."

The Dirt is an unflinching and uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock ‘n roll, fame, and the high price of excess. Director Jeff Tremaine (Jackass co-creator) shows us just how Nikki Sixx (Douglas Booth), Mick Mars (Iwan Rheon), Tommy Lee (Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly), and Vince Neil (Daniel Webber) took Mötley Crüe from the Sunset Strip to the world stage, and what it meant to become the world’s most notorious rock band.

The 18-song soundtrack mastered by Grammy winner, Dave Donnelly features a collection of Mötley Crüe classics that meaningfully underscore significant moments that shape the film. The album includes 14 fan-favorites and chart topping tracks such as “Dr. Feelgood” that charted at #6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and the anthemic “Girls, Girls, Girls” which reached #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 amongst others. Additional hits featured are “Kickstart My Heart,” “Same ‘Ol Situation (S.O.S.),” “Shout At The Devil” and the iconic ballad, “Home Sweet Home” that landed the band mainstream recognition.

Exclusive to the film’s soundtrack, Mötley Crüe recorded four new songs featuring the single, “The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)” with effortless rap verses surrounding signature guitar riffs. The three remaining songs conclude the album with the catchy “Ride With The Devil,” “Crash And Burn” and the band’s own spin on Madonna’s, “Like A Virgin.”

Обязательно посмотрю фильмец о Motley Crue. Будет интересно увидеть, как экранизировали самые безбашенные моменты в истории группы, а их было полно.

В фильме насчет мастерлент как-то драмы не вышло.

В фильме конечно очень утрированно многие вещи показаны, многое вообще не показано, но, со своей функцией развлекательного кино, картина отлично справляется.

Причем тут блэт вообще гендерная идентичность? Фредди вроде мужиков любил, а не сидел в раздумьях о том, баба он или мужик. Даже платья, в отличие от Боуи, не носил. Что он несет то вообще?

The Dark Moon

Посмотрел фильмец. Очень понравилось, хотя некоторые моменты либо не были включены в картину, либо вырезаны. Например, не показали как подросток Сикс украл басуху из магазина, а также сцена с Озом (не показали самую кульминацию соревнования, когда Оз решил своими испражнениями размазать гостиничный номер). А так, всё остальное более менее показано.
