OZZY OSBOURNE Exhibition At Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery Has Welcomed Almost 800,000 Visitors Since Its Launch

Fans of Birmingham, U.K. rock legend Ozzy Osbourne have just a few weeks left to see the exhibition celebrating his life and legacy at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery before it closes on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

"Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero" charts Ozzy's journey from a working-class upbringing in Aston to international superstardom. It features personal memorabilia, photography and video alongside some of his most prestigious honors, including Grammy Awards, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame accolades, MTV awards, Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk Of Stars honors, as well as a selection of his platinum and gold discs.

A highlight of the exhibition is Ozzy's iconic black gothic-style throne, last used by Ozzy during his final performance at the "Back To The Beginning" concert at Villa Park and added to the display in July this year to mark the first anniversary of the performance and his death in 2025.

The free exhibition has welcomed almost 800,000 visitors since it was officially opened by Sharon Osbourne on June 25, 2025, with its run extended twice in response to public demand.

Zak Mensah and Sara Wajid, co-chief executives of Birmingham Museums Trust, said: "The extraordinary response to the exhibition reflects the deep affection felt for Ozzy in his home city and around the world.

"The recent addition of the throne with its distinctive bat-wing motifs has given fans another opportunity to connect with his story and his final performance in Birmingham. It has become an enduring symbol of Ozzy's final performance in his home city and provides a poignant centerpiece.

"With the exhibition finally closing on 27 September, we would like to encourage anyone who has not yet visited, as well as those who want to see it again, to make the most of these final weeks."

Councillor Deborah Harries, cabinet member for culture at Birmingham City Council, said: "This exhibition celebrating Ozzy Osbourne's legacy has been a huge success for the city — as visitors to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery have then explored other sites across the city linked to both him and BLACK SABBATH.

"Ozzy is one of Birmingham's most colorful cultural figures, and we will continue to honor his legacy here in the city, where his journey began. For anyone who has yet to visit 'Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero', there's only a few weeks to go — so don't miss out."

Sam Watson, chair of Central BID Birmingham, said: "Central BID is incredibly proud to have curated this exhibition in Birmingham city center alongside Sharon Osbourne. The public response has been fantastic, with hundreds of thousands of people visiting from all over the world to celebrate Ozzy's extraordinary legacy. We are already planning for 'Ozzy Day' in 2027 and there's a lot more to look forward to next year."
