SHARON OSBOURNE Says OZZY 'Has Been In A Very Dark Place'

Ozzy Osbourne's wife/manager Sharon has shot down reports that the couple were divorcing after 31 years of marriage, insisting that they will overcome their problems and stay together.

On today's (Tuesday, April 23rd) edition of CBS daytime talk show "The Talk", which she co-hosts, Sharon addressed conflicting media reports and rumors surrounding her alleged split with Ozzy, stating: "Everything that was printed in the tabloids has been distorted.

"There's always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted. The only thing that's true is the Facebook posting that my husband did on his Facebook where he said he's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half, and that he's been an asshole, and he's been in a very dark place. That's true — it's very true.

"Everybody knows he's been struggling with this his entire life, and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn't realize, you know, to the extent.

"It's our business, we're dealing with it. We're not getting divorced, however.

"Am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am. I'm devastated right now. It's a disease that not only hurts the person that has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts people who love you.

"We're dealing with it. We've dealt with worse, and we will deal with it, and this, too, shall pass... Otherwise, my husband will be taken to hospital to get my foot removed from his ass."

Ozzy admitted that he relapsed into drug and alcohol abuse for the past year and a half in a statement posted by the BLACK SABBATH singer on his Facebook page. He wrote: "For the last year and a half, I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an aasshole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I'm just trying to be a better person.

"I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my bandmates for my insane behavior during this period... and my fans. God bless, Ozzy."

A report surfaced recently in the U.K. tabloid The Sun suggesting that Ozzy and Sharon were splitting and already living apart for several weeks.

A spokesperson for Sharon released a statement claiming that Ozzy and his wife "were still together," adding, "They've both got huge work commitments. She is at the hotel for work and he is starting his BLACK SABBATH tour."

Ozzy has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction throughout his entire 40-plus-year career, both with SABBATH and as a solo artist, although in recent years he seemed to have achieved a steady level of sobriety.

я, конечно, не семейный психолог, но судя по прочтению автобиографии Оззи у них там симбиоз какой-то.
типа он фестивалит как хочет, а она ВСЕ РЕШАЕТ.
в результате Оз и в шестьдесят лет свободен от бремени ответственности за свои поступки, а Шэрон на все претензии к (скажем так) альтернативно честному ведению дел может отвечать "я мать героиня, жена алкоголика со стажем, что вы хотите?"

Отличная книга "Я - Оззи" рассказывает, что мистер Джон Осборн за свои прожитые годы вытворял такого, что какие-то наркотики и алкоголь уж точно не станут причиной развода.

Мне кажется это смешно - 30 с гаком лет прожить вместе в такой атмосфере и под 60 задуматься о разводе. Так не бывает.
