METALLICA: Pro-Shot Footage Of \'Call Of Duty: Black Ops\' Launch-Party Performance

Official Metallica.com footage of METALLICA performing the song "Harvester Of Sorrow" last Thursday night (November 4) in Hangar 8 at Santa Monica Airport, California at a party to promote the release of the new video game "Call Of Duty: Black Ops" can be viewed below.

Regarding its participation at the event, the band previously said in a statement, "Our friends over at Activision, the fine folks who bring you the 'Guitar Hero' games, noticed a small hole in the METALLI-tour schedule in between Australian dates and rang us up to invite us to the launch of their next 'Call Of Duty' game . . . one thing led to another and next thing we know, we're playing at the party!!!"

The statement added that the event would raise funds for The Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organization that helps soldiers transition to civilian life and assists them in establishing jobs and careers.

METALLICA's setlist was as follows:

This was METALLICA's only U.S. gig for the rest of the year.

Activision released "Guitar Hero: Metallica" in March 2009. The band played a special release party for that game at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas that month.
